The Hachette decision to drop the Woody Allen book makes me very uneasy. It's not him; I don't give a damn about Mr. Allen. It's who gets muzzled next that worries me.— Stephen King (@StephenKing) March 6, 2020
Once you start, the next one is always easier.— Stephen King (@StephenKing) March 6, 2020
Another day, another shitty opinion from Stephen King. Now he's mad at publisher Hachette for NOT publishing alleged pedophile Woody Allen's memoir (after their own employees risked their jobs to let them know they suck) and worried about the slippery slope of censorship (that's not what censorship mea... oh forget it) and who could be "muzzled" next (hopefully other alleged pedophiles). Because 'in Amurricahhh..." blah blah blah
Just to bring some facts, Allen's memoir had already been rejected by several publishers before being picked up by Hachette (is that muzzling him too, King?), and they are giving him back the rights to the text, which means that he can still take his trash to be published anywhere else that will have him (or self-publish, even, just as it happened with that Milo guy). Maybe King can contribute to Allen's cause with a donation if he cares so much.
