KJ Apa Bares His Ass on "Ellen"

KJ Apa (Riverdale's Archie Andrews) appeared on The Ellen Degeneres Show today, where Ellen played a clip of a birthday message he recorded for her. Well apparently Keneti James did this in his own birthday suit, because when he moves the camera over you can see the full monty in the mirror. Ellen also got KJ with one of her classic scare pranks.

Wendy Williams Makes Price Is Right Joke About Dr Amie Harwick’s Murder

On Monday, just two days after Dr. Amie Harwick was murdered by her ex-boyfriend, Wendy Williams talked about the crime on her talk show.

She noted that Amie wasn't murdered by Drew Carey, then said, “Come on down!” — the famous phrase Carey uses on The Price Is Right before making a motion with her head like someone falling, a reference to Harwick's death ([Spoiler (click to open)]she was thrown from a third-floor balcony by her ex).

In response, the audience was mostly silent, and Williams awkwardly continued the conversation. Reps for Carey, Williams and CBS did not immediately respond to request for comment.

Wild at Heart

Calla Fletcher returns to Toronto a different person, struggling to find direction and still very much in love with the rugged bush pilot she left behind. When Jonah arrives on her doorstep with a proposition she can't dismiss, she takes the leap and rushes back to Alaska to begin their exciting future together.

But Calla soon learns that even the best intentions can lead to broken promises, and that compromise comes with a hefty price--a log cabin in rural Alaska that feels as isolating as the western tundra.

With Jonah gone more than he's home, one neighbor who insists on transforming her into a true Alaskan, and another who seems more likely to shoot her than come to her aid, Calla grapples with forging her own path. In a world with roaming wildlife that has her constantly watching over her shoulder and harsh conditions that stretch far beyond the cold, dark, winter months, just stepping outside her front door can be daunting.

This is not the future Calla had in mind, leaving her to fear that perhaps she is doomed to follow in her mother's fleeing footsteps after all.

Ja'Net DuBois Has Died At 74

Children of the 70's and Black People will know her best as Willona Woods from Good Times (or, "The Rona Barrett of the Ghetto!")
She also sung and wrote The Jeffersons theme song "Movin' on Up".

She had appearances in Sister, Sister, Martin, The Wayans Bros. (which is less of a 'guest role' and more of a main character really) and Everybody Loves Raymond.

She passed in her sleep.

Canadian scandal alert! Former Cineplex employee Tanner Zipchen was paid in Scene points

Backstory for our non-Canadians: Tanner Zipchen was the host of Cineplex's pre-movie show. Ie, the ads/previews/trivia portion one sees before a movie begins. When he was hired in 2015, Cineplex paid him 52,000 Scene points (frequent movie-watcher points) a year, equating to 1,000 a points a week to be "cashed in" for a free movie. Now the tea has been spilled and Canada is scandalized!

-The beloved host was let go in January when Cineplex (a billion dollar company!) was bought by a British media group
-He earned 52,000 Scene points a year and free digital rentals for 3 years before fighting for a salary
-He knew what he was getting into because he won a contest to be the host, but his hosting duties started eating into real-life priorities and a paying job he was balancing at the time
-It seems he wants to bring attention to the free labour aspect of it
-Full story at the Toronto Star if you can make it past their paywall

Canadian ONTDers, how many Scene points do you have? I'm at 3,300

Sharon Choi, filmmaker and translator extraordinaire, looks back on her ‘Parasite’ journey

+ Sharon Choi, aspiring filmmaker and Bong Joon-Ho's personal translator for more than 10 months, reminisces on her whirlwind Oscar season in a new first-person essay published on Variety.
+ A little excerpt:
In April of 2019, I received a last-minute email asking me to interpret a phone interview with Bong Joon Ho. I had already missed the interview, thanks to a night spent in crunch mode staring at the blinking cursor on a pilot script. It took every professional fiber in my being to erase all of the exclamation marks and reply with, “I am available for future calls so please let me know.” A few days later, another request came, and soon I was sitting at my desk with my favorite notepad and pen, praying that my nervous bladder would be quiet for the next hour. My interpreting experience prior to this amounted to just a week, mostly with director Lee Chang Dong for his snubbed masterpiece “Burning.”

+ Full essay.

Ben Affleck Calls Divorce from Jennifer Garner the 'Biggest Regret of My Life'

In an exclusive interview with the New York Times, Ben Affleck reveals that his biggest regret is his divorce from Jennifer Garner.

“The biggest regret of my life is this divorce," Ben said. "Shame is really toxic," he continued. "There is no positive byproduct of shame. It’s just stewing in a toxic, hideous feeling of low self-worth and self-loathing.”

Ben discusses his feelings of shame and he said that it is not healthy for him to obsess over his "failures" or his relapses. He admits that he has made mistakes and done things that he regrets. He said that he wants to "learn from them" and "learn from it, learn some more, try to move forward.”

Ben said that his drinking wasn't an issue until 2015/2016, when he and Jennifer started having martial problems. After that, his drinking created more issues for the couple.

Affleck and Garner, both 47, announced their separation in June 2015 and settled their divorce in October 2018. The two started dating in 2004 and married in 2005. They have three children, Violet, 14, Seraphina, 11, and Samuel, 7.

Watch an Alleged Serial Cheater Get Called out and Confronted on Television

Last night on ABC's reality dating show "The Bachelor," an alleged homewrecker got called out and confronted... all on camera.

Peter, the lead, was on a date with Victoria. Then, one of Peter's ex girlfriends "accidentally" ran into him and spilled the beans: Victoria has allegedly cheated with several men.

Later, Peter confronted Victoria, only to have her gaslight, cry, plead, get angry, and manipulate him.

Details about the "alleged" cheating under the cut.

Inside Jesse Tyler Ferguson's Elegant NYC Apartment | Open Door | Architectural Digest

Today Architectural Digest is welcomed to the New York home of Jesse Tyler Ferguson and his Tony Award-winning husband Justin Mikita. Decorated with sculptures that Justin has bestowed honorary celebrity names upon (like Tilda Swinton the papier-mâché giraffe,) the apartment feels fun, bright, and unmistakably theirs. The couple made a point of investing in and designing custom cabinets and storage solutions, wringing every inch of space out of their Manhattan digs. As a result, the living space feels sleek and comfortable while providing plenty of space for tucking away pots and pans or say, displaying awards. Did we mention that Justin has a Tony Award? Because he does.
