Tan France says he won't return to living in the U.K. because of racism

- Says he used to assume he'd eventually move back to his native U.K. but no longer plans on doing so

- Being gay isn't easy in Salt Lake City but he is "less likely to be called something on the street"

- "I suffered so much racism here and it’s just not something I want to put myself through,” France said. “I love this country, I love what it potentially represents, but I just think that until they solve this problem or move forward with it, where you just are not attacked every day, I’m not willing to be here."

- However he admits fame helps as he's no longer stopped as often for being a potential terrorist because people recognize him from TV

I'm an Indian-American who moved to the UK a few years ago and I see where he's coming from. I wouldn't say the UK is more or less racist than the US overall but anti-South Asian racism (and anti-Pakistani racism in particular) is definitely more overt over here.

Keanu Reeves and Alexandra Grant have been together "for several years" according to Jennifer Tilly

Jennifer Tilly, who is Alexandra Grant's longtime friend, spoke to Page Six about the couple at the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Red Dress Collection on Wednesday night.

“I remember a couple of years ago, about a year and a half ago, [Grant] said, ‘Keanu Reeves is my boyfriend,’ and I’m like, ‘Wait. What? What? What?' She was so cool I thought she was a lesbian.” Tilly said of the couple, who made their red carpet debut in November.

She also called the attention around Keanu and his girlfriend "astonishing" before noting they had a lot in common, including how lowkey they both were.

She added while Keanu Reeves is a "great guy," he's actually the lucky one in the relationship.

Philip Schofield comes out as gay

British TV presenter Philip Schofield has revealed he is gay.

He made this statement via an Instagram story. In it, he said:

"Today, quite rightly, being gay is a reason to celebrate and be proud."

"Yes, I am feeling pain and confusion, but that comes only from the hurt that I am causing to my family."

"[Coming out] is my decision. This is absolutely my decision. It was something I knew that I had to do. I don't know what the world will be like now. I don't know how this will be taken or what people will think."

Schofield is known for presenting the shows This Morning and Dancing On Ice.

He has been married to his wife, Stephanie Lowe, for 27 years, and they have 2 children together.

His full statement can be read at the source.

Non UK'ers, you might recognise him from this iconic interview:

Katy Keene - 1x02 - "You Can't Hurry Love" - SIGNS – With Katy’s (Lucy Hale) personal life in a holding pattern, which everyone seems to know about thanks to the newspapers picking up Pepper’s (Julia Chan) blog, she can’t seem to escape even at work. Josie (Ashleigh Murray) finds a job to help pay the bills but picks up an extra job at a record store, and quickly learns it might be closing, leaving Josie with an idea to help keep it open. After begging for one last audition and waiting to hear if he got the part, he must decide if he wants to give up performing as Ginger. Louis Vuitton collaborates with artisans from Oaxaca for a collection

During zona macó (one of the biggest art exhibitions in Latin America) in Mexico City, Louis Vuitton reached out to artisans from the small town of San Martín Tilcajete, Oaxaca, to create a custom trunk collection called ‘The Colorful Journey LV’.

The brand is famous for its past collaborations with artists such as Jeff Koons and Takashi Murakami. This collection incorporates vibrant designs, details from the Mexican cosmology and history intertwined with luxury.

Natalia Herrera, art curator, was in charge of choosing the master artisans from different artists among Mexico. Their Zapotec roots and experience with woodwork made them stand out and ultimately win the project that will give employment to many in the town.

According to Zapotec mythology, every person receives a “tona” (an unique creature, combining different real life animals) upon being born. As such, each piece also has its own tona with alebrije-like motifs.

Apple fined €25 million for slowing down older iPhones and not letting consumers know

Apple has been fined €25 million (approximately $27.4 million) in France by the French watchdog for competition and fraud (DGCCRF) for intentionally slowing down older iPhone models and not making it clear to consumers.

The company admitted that it only did so to “prolong the life” of its older devices and not to encourage people to upgrade. Apple has issued software updates in 2017 that capped the performance of iPhone 6, iPhone 7, and iPhone SE models, whose aging batteries aren’t usually able to handle surges in energy use and to prevent older iPhones from crashing as a result.

Despite this, the DGCCRF said Apple failed to inform consumers that the issues they were experiencing were the result of its software updates or that replacing the battery — rather than the entire phone — could fix its problems. The company also didn’t allow its users to revert to previous versions of its software to help potentially fix this problem, leaving its users stuck with a slowed down device.

Apple will pay the fine and is required to share this information on its website for one month.

Backstory: On Monday, CBS This Morning released a clip of Gayle King interviewing WNBA star Lisa Leslie. During the clip, Gayle asked Lisa, who was a friend of Kobe Bryant, if she felt that his 2003 sexual assault case complicated his legacy for her. Lisa said that it did not.

The interview sparked backlash against Gayle and Oprah. Celebrities including 50 Cent and Snoop Dog attacked Gayle on social media. 50 Cent said that what Gayle did was unfair because Kobe isn't around to defend himself.

Snoop actually posted a misogynistic video where he threatened Gayle and told her to back off “before we come get you.” Snoop took down the video but 50 Cent's hateful ass reposted it. Link to the video.
