Halsey Releases New Song & Music Video for "Finally // beautiful stranger"



Halsey just released her latest single, "Finally // beautiful stranger" off her forthcoming album, Manic, along with a music video giving very Star is Born vibes. She also released a promo track called "SUGA interlude" featuring SUGA & Korean boy band BTS.

Fans have commented so far that "Finally" sounds like a mash-up of Lady Gaga's "You and I," Harry Styles' "Two Ghosts," and a number of other early '00s female singer-songwriter tracks (including one I can't place that's driving me bananas).

Vanity Fair shares a first look at 'Ghostbusters: Afterlife', first trailer will be released Monday


• In this new Vanity Fair article we learn that Carrie Coon's character and her two kid (Finn Wolfhard and McKenna Grace), "have left everything they know and moved to a small town in Oklahoma after inheriting property from the father she didn’t know."

• A major part of the story will be about the family discovering their connection to the Ghostbusters, particularly Wolfhard and Grace's characters, who find out who their grandfather is and pick up proton packs themselves. ( Collapse )

On Familiar, he admires a lady who’s “shaped like a model or some kind of bottle” – Orangina? Ketchup? Perhaps this leg-crossing horror show is another sign of Payne’s prudence: LP1 is a terrible pop album, but very effective contraception.

Summary of conversation [Spoiler (click to open)]
Plays clip. JL will play Roger Ailes. Praises the panel, says they’re marvelous. Joy saw a screening of the film. He also played Winston Churchill on The Crown. JL tried to play him as three-dimensional as possible. Found people loyal and devoted to him as well as terrified and loathed him. Felt it was a challenge to show that many different sides to the man. No question he’s the villain, but the movie is for the women. It wasn’t about Ailes, it was about everyone’s reaction to him. Abby’s legs are in the movie. Thought JL was phenomenal. Ailes is tough to get right, he’s a genius but also a monster. If you hate Fox, it makes Fox out to be the monster people want it to be, but it was also an emotional roller coaster and there are hardworking women who still work there. [pfft anyone with scruples would never work there, they would work somewhere else, they are not the only network]. JL gives props to Connie Britton, who plays Ailes wife, at the point where she (as the wife) finds out the irrefutable truth. Ana talks about that emotional impact to learn that someone you liked or admired, learn they’re bad. JL says it’s a great movie of the MeToo era. Really confronts it head on. Meghan loved him as Churchill. Meghan says blah blah about Fox. JL says he’s a character actor, he’s in the empathy business, so he tried to get into the character’s head. His paranoia was fascinating. Guns in his office, escape plan at his house. Really thought Obama was plotting to k-ll him. [good lord crazy loco]. Joy wonders what he used for anger. Sunny reads legal statement blah blah.

Moves to JL book called Dumpty which is a collection of poems about the last few years of politics. Turned the rage into entertainment. They joke he should move to Wales. It’s funny and so good.

Lost version of Wuthering Heights with Richard Burton and Rosemary Harris to play on TCM tonight!


  • In 1999 actress Rosemary Harris* met Jane Klain who is a researcher at the Paley Center who specializes in unearthing long forgotten classics

  • In 1958 Harris played adult Cathy in a live TV version of Wuthering Heights starring Richard Burton as Heathcliff

  • She was a last minute replacement and only had 4 days to prepare. Right before her death scene she forgot her lines and had to quickly re-read them before stuffing them under a pillow and performing the scene

  • Harris asked Klain to find the broadcast to see if her hiding her lines had been captured

  • Klain spent decades trying to hunt it down and last year told Harris she had failed

  • But success! She recently was able to track down the only version of the broadcast (a TV historian had it) and had it sent to Harris (her last minute line refresher was not captured on film)

  • Klain described it as "steamy"

  • Wuthering Heights starring Richard Burton, Rosemary Harris and Patty Duke as young Cathy is airing on TCM at 8 p.m. EST tonight! It is the first time it will be aired since the original 1958 broadcast

Isabella Gomez started receiving less auditions once it became known she was Latina after starring as Elena Alvarez in “One Day at a Time.” 

“It’s interesting because I am white passing. So, when I got here people didn’t know I was Latina. I was going out all the time, getting call backs all the time. Then I booked ‘One Day at a Time’ — which thank God. But, then people found out I was Latina. And then, the auditions dwindled and people don’t want to see me as much,”

It has been an interesting transition, dealing with the fact that she “was getting accepted” as a teenager working in this business. But as she got older, on “such a common Latinx show,” she started to experience more rejection.

It was a recent realization of her white passing status, that she discovered during the second season of the show when her brother’s character Alex (Marcel Ruiz) is bullied because of his darker brown skin color, and her character doesn’t have the same experience.

Smith explained that they’ve always shown that side privately to friends.
“But I think showing it to the world and showing it to people is a different thing, and I finally felt safe enough to do so. I feel scared every day. Being my feminine self in this world that we’re in… The music industry … can be a bit homophobic. It’s a bit sexist at times. Beta Male Elon Musk Found 'Not Liable' Defamation Suit Against British Cave Diver

- Last year, diver Vernon Unsworth was considered integral for navigating the rescue of the 12 young boys stuck in a cave. Upon hearing that Musk had a submarine that claimed could help reassure the boys, Unsworth called it a PR stunt

Defamation cases are very hard to win in the States, but it seemed as though Unsworth had an advantage saying that because Unsworth was not a public figure the threshold for establishing defamation would be lowered.

Musty defended his accusation by saying it was an off the cuff remark about being slighted and said that the insult is frequently used in South Africa and not meant to be taken literally. However, Musk had a follow up tweet (later deleted, because of course) that he'd bet one million dollars the accusation was true. It was also alleged (maybe confirmed) that Musk hired a private investigator to dig up anything sordid about Unsworth in order to cement the allegation. But remember the dips hit didn't mean it literally y'all. We also learned Muskrat's personal wealth is $20 billion with a whole ass B. Mr. Unsworth was only seeking $75K in damages although some reports said he was seeking $190m - he deserved it though.

Mr. Unsworth said the accusations caused him immense pain saying he felt "humiliated, ashamed, dirtied".

A few jurors had to be dismissed due to following Moosk on Twitter and one even had an interview at SpaceX, there were some Tesla owners and one dismissed for having strong opinions about billionaires.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds' Plantation Wedding Banned From Pinterest




Back in 2012, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds were wed at the Boone Hall Plantation in Charleston, South Carolina. The site was where hundreds of slaves were forced to produce bricks and harvest pecans, as well as peaches.

Wedding site The Knot has adopted new guidelines for venues like this. According to The Knot, they intend on prohibiting the "use of language that glorifies, celebrates, or romanticizes Southern plantation history."

Pinterest released a statement saying that they are going through the process of removing photos of plantations and issuing warnings that content like such violates their new brand policies. Part of their statement:

"Weddings should be a symbol of love and unity. Plantations represent none of those things. We are working to limit the distribution of this content and accounts across our platform, and continue to not accept advertisements for them."

E! News reached out to Blake and Ryan's teams for comment and haven't received a response.

While the movement has improved things for people who are “body shamed or fat shamed,” things may have gone too far.

“I think we’re politically correct to the point of endangering people. Yes, we want to be inclusive of everyone [and respect that] everyone comes in all different shapes and sizes. That nobody should ever be body shamed or fat shamed or excluded and that everyone is equally deserving and should feel equally valuable. Obesity in itself is not something that should be glamourized. But we’ve become so politically correct that no one wants to say it.”
