Suicide Squad's Jared Leto reportedly felt "alienated and upset" when Warner Bros. decided to move ahead with a solo Joker film starring Joaquin Phoenix. https://t.co/iyMdqqD9b0 pic.twitter.com/MpUVTSG101— IGN (@IGN) October 9, 2019
Jared Leto, who played the Joker in Suicide Squad, was reportedly upset that he was pretty much cut out of the film after filming many scenes. He had expected to do spin-off films, including one with Margot Robbie's Harley Quinn.
The studio instead opted to go with a standalone movie starring Joaquin Phoenix. Leto is reportedly upset he's been dropped while Phoenix receives critical acclaim, Oscar buzz and huge box office returns.

'Gemini Man' Makes $1.6 Million From Thursday Box Office Previews https://t.co/2npaanUwnh— TheWrap (@TheWrap) October 11, 2019
Even with three new major releases this weekend, WB's 'Joker' is still expected to stay on top during Columbus Day weekend. But, for now, we can still delve into how the three new movies fair.
‘Gemini Man’ brought in a rather... bleak $1.6M from Thursday night previews, and is expected to bring in around $20 million (on a... $138 million budget). A certified bomb there unless overseas can give it life.
The new animated adaptation of “The Addams Family” brought in $1.25 million on Thursday, and is also expected to make $20 million or less (though can't find a budget on this one yet). Also released was the comedy 'Jexi'. All are expected to bomb and were critically trashed.
In limited release are 'Parasite' (arguably one of the best movies of the year), and 'High Strung Free Dance'.

Eleanor Marie Robertson, probably better known as prolific writer Nora Roberts, enjoys to mind her own business. Until she doesn't - especially when it comes to plagiarism. In this post there's four cases of when Nora Roberts did a clean up in the literary world.

ONTD, please tell me you understand what plagiarism means and that you would never hurt Nora Roberts like that.

Hershey's just made their first ever beer. They teamed up with Yuengling beer to make Yuengling Hershey's Chocolate Porter.
The team-up is one of historical importance: the Pottsville, Pa.-based Yuengling is the oldest brewery in the U.S., while Hershey's is one of the nation's oldest and most respected brands. This is Yuengling's first collaborative beer in its 190-year history. The chocolate porter is also Hershey's first licensed beer partnership.
Yuengling Hershey’s Chocolate Porter will be available on tap in bars and restaurants beginning mid-month across some of the 22 states Yuengling distributes – from Massachusetts to Indiana, including Ohio, Virginia, and Kentucky, through Valentine's Day.
The beer has hints of caramel and chocolate, enriched with Hershey’s cocoa, syrup and nibs added during the brewing, the resulting beer has a savory semisweet aroma, rich consistency and dark chocolate-flavored finish.
Would you get drunk on chocolate?
Oh my goddddddd

Whoopi starts with abandoning Kurds. RP says we were overextended and thinks regime changes are senseless. The other topic is 50 soldiers, it’s so complicated, shouldn’t be a chess game, why are we going to war and who are we fighting. Whoopi says if you have allies, but 24 hrs later, we abandon them. RP starts talking, Whoopi says Answer the question. RP says blah blah, name checks Graham, Cheney. He doesn’t think we should be there in the first place. Whoopi still presses him on the answering the question. RP says nobody agrees regime change works. Panel argues with RP. It turns into a free for all. Abby says there’s a difference between having a strategy vs leaving the Kurds to die. Plus ISIS will escape. RP is rude and keeps interrupting. [I wish that neighbor had /redacted] Ana says what about breaking our word, what message does that send. RP spouts nonsense about honoring the Constitution. Ana says what about the Constitution says protecting us from enemies foreign or domestic. RP tries to mansplain, pretends Assad isn’t really a danger to US interests. Abby brings up Iran desire to take Damascus. RP mansplains more. Whoopi cuts him off for commercial break.
Abby starts with Socialism, 43% of Americans think it’s a good thing. RP says gobblygook about the differences between Russia etc and Scandinavian socialism. RP says Scandinavia has high taxes for their universal social programs. RP says the top 1% pay the most taxes. Audience laughs out loud. Ana says T45 doesn’t pay any income tax. Ana moves on, says she sees her conservative social media saying that voting for a Democrat means America will be a Venezuela. RP says well if you vote for a Socialist then you get Socialism. Ana low-key rages, at the idea that Maduro is the same as any of the Democratic candidates. RP says blah blah. Ana comes for him. RP even says Let me finish, even tho no one was speaking. Ana finally says, Don’t mansplain. Which he did the entire time.

CBS and CW were both eyeing the reboot (which isn't a sequel series) and the latter has snagged it. It's set to take place in and film in Austin, where Jared lives. He's set to produce and it follows Cordell Walker, a widower and father of two, who returns home after an undercover assignment and along with a female partner, continues to fight crime. He'll reconnect with the kids and clash with his conservative family. He also has suspicions about his wife's death.
Meanwhile, Jake Abel and Shoshannah Stern are both back on set for 15.08 - which Richard Speight Jr., the latter's Jericho co-star is directing.

Naomie Harris, 43, was once groped by a “huge star” during an audition when she was in her 20s.
“I was in an audition and he put his hand up my skirt. What was so shocking about it was the casting director was there and the director, and of course no one said anything at all because he was – he is – such a huge star.”
JoJo's next single, "Sabotage" featuring Chika, will be out October 25.
from her newsletter:
“We’re so quick today to write people off. To cancel them and say, “oh they should’ve done this,” or, “this is where they fucked up,” and usually it’s about things we know very little about. So, “Joanna” is a commentary on that: how social media makes us feel like we can say whatever we want about whoever, and direct it right at them. In this song, I’m saying that over the years I’ve seen things, I’m self-aware, I know who I am, I know where I’ve been, and I know why I’m more confident than ever...because of the music I’m making, and because my fans have stuck by me all this time. For someone to write someone off and tell them when their story ends or what’s possible for them is just ridiculous. Anything is possible. You are on a path all your own.”
Ja Rule Weighs in On Rumors Jennifer Lopez Didn't Actually Sing On "I'm Real" https://t.co/7Cq7Il1ANj— E! News (@enews) October 7, 2019
He was asked about those rumors that Ashanti sang Jennifer Lopez's vocals in the 2001 hit "I'm Real,"
"No, that's not true. I wrote 'I'm Real' for Jennifer Lopez. And I sung the original version of it as a reference, but I sound terrible, of course, on the reference, so Ashanti then sung the reference for Jennifer Lopez."
The mix-up comes in. As he explained,
"When they mixed down the record, producer left some of the vocals underneath. She's got some vocals underneath, I believe. That is the rumor. I don't even know if it's really true. I didn't fucking mix it. It's J.Lo singing on the record, of course, but Ashanti's vocals maybe. I'm not 100 percent sure, but that is where the story came from. There's a little confusion. I get it, I get it. But you would have to ask producer 100 percent if he left the vocals underneath the bed."
In next week's episode, SVU tackles abortion? Hopefully in a pro-choice way, unlike it did in the recent past?? Fingers crossed???? And also, according to the promo pics, Rollins baptises her baby in the abortion episode (the same baby Benson told her not to abort btw) because SVU ain't nothing if not heavy-handed as fuck?
ONTD, I have not forsaken you! I made last week's post late and it got approved after I had gone to bed, and I was sick all weekend! And then the week got away from me and I didn't reply! I'm sorry and I love you! So, question time: did you watch last night's Jussie Smollett-inspired episode? Was it kinda problematique but also pretty watchable? Does take-charge ADA Carisi get y'all hot? How about Courtroom Carisi? Do you like the new Chief? (I loved him!) And, last but certainly not least, did the show pull a fast one on us, and go from Darque!Noah to Possibly!Gay!Noah? That's bold.
