Mario Kart Tour has officially launched on iOS and Android



It’s finally here! Today Nintendo officially launched “Mario Kart Tour” for iOS and Android. It features race tracks from various MK games over the years. The game, like Nintendo’s other mobile releases, is free-to-play with in-app purchases (in-game currency are “rubies”) that you use for upgrades and unlocks. Current criticism facing the newly launched game is the fact that the 200cc tier (as well as exclusive characters, karts and other items) are locked behind a subscription service (Gold Pass) that costs $4.99 a month.

“Mario Kart Tour” also lacks any kind of multiplayer at launch (you race against bots for now). According to a UI item on the newly-launched mobile game’s menu screen, it states that multiplayer will be “available in a future version update.”

  • it’s been a long year for gucci, as it has both sought to stay on the cutting edge of fashion and convince the world it’s made some major positive changes since the “blackface sweater” controversy that rocked the legendary fashion house this january.

  • proving that the label still loves to provoke, creative director alessandro michele, once again courted controversy on sunday with gucci’s spring/summer 2020 show in milan--the label's its first entirely carbon-neutral presentation. according to w magazine. the show opened with a series of models in reportedly straitjacket-inspired looks, all of whom emerged from “a set of corrugated metal gates” on a conveyor belt-like runway.

Everyone's favorite Janet D'Arcy Carden kept an Emmys diary for Bustle. You can read the full entry at the source, but here are some highlights:

- She got a facial in the morning, but skipped Pilates in favor of hanging out with her husband and her dog, Penny.
- Got ready for the Emmys with her The Good Place co-star Kristen Bell and their glam teams at a hotel in DTLA (which is near the theater where the Emmys are hosted).
- Was cocky about the amount of time she had to get ready, but needed some last minute adjustments and ended up running about 30 minutes late to the carpet.
- Talks about how hot the carpet was, and how everyone waiting for pics has blotting tissues and towels to keep from looking sweaty.
- Ran into coworkers from both The Good Place and Barry, and Bill Hader introduced her to Sam Rockwell. Ended up sitting next to costar Manny Jacinto, behind the cast of Succession.
- Hit up the Governor's Ball, HBO's party at the Pacific Design Center and Amazon's party at the Chateau Marmont.
- Her heels hurt her feet after a long day, but she brought backup Chucks for the afterparties.

A big part of the leadup to Scorsese's The Irishman is the useage of CGI to de-age its stars Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, and Joe Pesci. And today, the film's twitter gave a little tease of what they will look like for De Niro.

De Niro will appear on tonight's worst talk show Fallon along with a new trailer, that will most likely continue showing off the de-aged looks.

The film premieres Friday at the NY Film Festival.

Beyoncé  has been entangled in a legal battle with Wendy Morales over trademarking her daughter's name.
Morales believes that Beyoncé  shouldn't be allowed to trademark "Blue Ivy" because she has an event planning business of the same name. Beyoncé feels like she should have trademark rights to the title because her daughter is a "cultural icon." 

Morales' company was in operation three years before Blue Ivy was born.
Beyoncé's legal teams claims before specifying that the claim is for 'Blue Ivy Carter' and not just 'Blue Ivy.'"

Beyoncé and JAY-Z first applied for the trademark in 2012.
They were denied the application shortly after it was filed.

'This Is Us' Creator on Season 4's New Characters



The fourth season premiere of This Is Usintroduced three major new characters.
3 storylines about characters the audience had never met before converged with the Pearsons at the end.

• Jennifer Morrison is a military veteran at a support group where present-day Nicky gets in trouble for throwing a chair through the window.
She will play a big part in Kevin's story moving forward and obviously Nicky's. 

• Asante Blackk is a teen in Randall's new home of Philadelphia who connects with Deja at a barbecue. 
Interesting stuff coming that deals with perception, it deals with class, it deals with race.
Stuff coming that is so romantic between these two. 

• Blake Stadnik is a far-future version of newborn baby Jack, it was revealed at the end of the premiere he was born without sight.
Kate's son was born prematurely, and retinopathy is more common in premature babies.
It was important to find an actor who was both blind in real life and a talented singer. 
The rest of the flash-forwards in the first part of the season will go back to Rebecca's death bed.

Jessica Simpson is celebrating her recent weight loss on Instagram. Six months ago the singer/actress turned entrepreneur gave birth to her third child, daughter Birdie Mae Johnson. Since then, Successica has worked hard with her fitness trainers to get back into shape.

Simpson’s workout regimen included walking 14,000 steps a day, while her diet consisted of plenty of vegetables and limiting foods that were fried or high in calories.

"I wanted to make a track as an ode to Nadia Oh. I feel like her work with Space Cowboy really paved the way for a lot of future pop girls today. Her CGI visual style was super glossy and felt earnest and un-ironic at the time. Us girls play around with those kinds of aesthetics now, because we're nostalgic for the early 00's. But, Nadia was doing it in real time, and probably had no idea the kind of influence she would have on underground pop culture in the future."

- Blackout inspiration
"This track is also a nod to Danja and Britney. Blackout was such an iconic club record. It was the soundtrack to my first year going out to nightclubs in Hollywood, and all the debauchery that ensued."

"In a way, I'm starting over and re-branding myself. Kevin Feige Developing ‘Star Wars’ Movie for Disney



Feige is working with Kathleen Kennedy to develop a new Star Wars movie for Disney. Iger said “We determined we’d be better off as a company to release a sequel to ‘Star Wars’ than not yet determined films.”

Iger also called “Star Wars” a “sustainable source of high-quality content with global appeal.” This comes after low attendance at both US parks for the past fiscal year for Disney, despite opening Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge.

No word on if this will be a series.
