Johnny Depp Sends Subpoena to James Franco Over Surveillance Footage Of Him With Amber Heard

image

Surveillance footage shows James Franco with Amber Heard on the day after the fight with then-husband Johnny Depp that reportedly ended their marriage.

Depp’s legal team issued a subpoena for Franco to be called as a witness to determine whether he and Heard discussed the altercation and whether he witnessed bruises on her face.

Depp's attorney, Adam Waldman tells The Blast, "We are interested in James Franco and Elon Musk as fact witnesses because we have evidence they are men who saw Amber Heard's face in the days and nights between when she claimed Mr. Depp smashed her in the face on May 21 and when she went to court with painted on 'bruises' to obtain a Temporary Restraining Order on May 27."

"A F-ing Extortionist": Rich people are angry Gwyneth Paltrow over UK wellness summit

Gwyneth Paltrow held another one of her expensive "wellness summits" in London recently.

The cost to attend was $5,700. But now, Page Six reports that attendees are "revolting" over the weekend long Goop sales pitch and the fact that GP skipped out on some of the activities.

One attendee told Page Six that a prominent British guest was so appalled by the aggressive Goop hype that she sent a WhatsApp message to fellow attendees saying, “GP (what Goop followers calls Paltrow), is a fucking extortionist.”

The event featured a “health summit” where Gwyneth apparently did the bare minimum. Gwyneth was unapproachable according to attendees, she was surrounded by her security team all the time. She during her talks she gave tips such as “creativity with your hands is like channeling God,” and how to “hydrate mindfully” using a sound bath.

Another attendee told Page Six: “Gwyneth acts like she’s a health goddess, but actually she’s a pretentious, greedy extortionist...She was unapproachable. She did the minimum, a few fireside chats with Twiggy and Penelope Cruz, then she put on her Birkenstocks and snuck out . . . I was a huge fan of Gwyneth; now I feel like I have lost my faith in God.” (lmao)

Report: Meghan McCain May Exit 'The View'

According to Meghan McCain's former employer, The Daily Beast, she is seriously considering walking away from her job as McCain family ambassador panelist on The View. According the the source:

  • Meghan is considering not renewing her contract for the new season starting in September

  • She apparently feels emotionally drained, angry, isolated and “like a caged animal”

  • The Daily Mail has covered her crying fits, manic behaviour and tantrums throughout the two years she's been on the show

  • A source (OP's guess is McCain bff Ramin Setoodeh, who used to work with Meghan at the Beast, wrote an entire book about The View that barely included her, and was at her wedding, Denise) says that the "emotional toll isn't worth it" and she will find another job, where she can relentlessly talk about her father™

  • Meghan declined an interview, but Senior Executive producer of The View Hilary Estey McLoughlin is quoted saying "I think she does want to be there. I think she wants to be on the show. She realizes it’s a very good platform for her and we love having her there. I feel like she will come back.”

  • Her father™ apparently "raised her like a guy" (no mention of her mother's involvement in raising her)

  • Meghan tried to get veteran View makeup artist Karen Dupiche fired for 'liking' a montage of Meghan talking over Joy

  • A source alleges that Sunny Hostin talked to them about Meghan on two separate occasions, to which they told Meghan

  • Sunny apparently said: "Meghan’s not doing well. She doesn’t talk to anyone… She can’t handle the pressure… She’s condescending about her grieving for her father… Meghan’s not handling this well.”

  • Sunny's publicist answered this allegation with: “Sunny and Meghan are colleagues. Sunny says what she needs to say on The View and refuses to take part in gossip. She declines the invitation to be dragged into the mud. As a former Federal prosecutor and an Emmy-winning journalist, it’s beneath her.”

  • The source goes on to highlight more Meghan drama from throughout the past few years

What Do We Need Men For?: A Modest Proposal

When E. Jean Carroll—possibly the liveliest woman in the world and author of the “Ask E. Jean” advice column in Elle Magazine, realized that her eight million readers and question-writers all seemed to have one thing in common—problems caused by men—she hit the road. Crisscrossing the country with her blue-haired poodle, Lewis Carroll, E. Jean stopped in every town named after a woman between Eden, Vermont and Tallulah, Louisiana to ask women the crucial question: What Do We Need Men For?

E. Jean gave her rollicking road trip a sly, stylish turn when she deepened the story, creating a list called “The Most Hideous Men of My Life,” and began to reflect on her own sometimes very dark history with the opposite sex. What advice would she have given to her past selves—as Miss Cheerleader USA and Miss Indiana University? Or as the fearless journalist, television host, and eventual advice columnist she became? E. Jean intertwines the stories of the fascinating people she meets on her road trip with her “horrible history with the male sex” (including mafia bosses, media titans, boyfriends, husbands, a serial killer, and a president), creating a decidedly dark yet hopeful, hilarious, and thrilling narrative. Her answer to the question What Do We Need Men For? will shock men and delight women.

John Cena Supports LA Ice Cream Truck Charging Influencers Double for Ice Cream

https://instagram.com/p/BzV-nCBJyXG

It’s Summer, so that means plenty of influencers and just normal folk taking photos of their cool treats for Instagram. But one man has snapped.

This Los Angeles ice-cream-truck owner is so fed up with influencers asking for free ice cream cones that he’s decided to charge them double! WWE wrestler turned actor John Cena showed support by reposting the photo on his Instagram.

CVT Soft Serve owner Joe Nicci wrote in an Instagram post: “We’ve decided to make this thing official with signage. We truly don’t care if you’re an Influencer, or how many followers you have. We will never give you a free ice cream in exchange for a post on your social media page. It’s literally a $4 item...well now it’s $8 for you.”

He also added the hashtag #InfluencersAreGross for good measure.

Can you blame him? Some influencers just end up taking a photo with their Ice Cream and throw it in the trash afterwards.

Taylor Swift / Scooter Braun Update: Her Lawyer Speaks + Taylor has "No Ragrets"

Taking a break from sending cease and desist letters to bloggers questioning her morality and shutting down Etsy stores run by fans, Taylor Swift's lawyer has issued a statement in reference to the letter that Big Machine's Scott Borchetta posted online. Responding to Variety, Donald Passmand is quoted:

“Scott Borchetta never gave Taylor Swift an opportunity to purchase her masters, or the label, outright with a check in the way he is now apparently doing for others”

E! News is reporting that although Taylor's fans are literally planning to break into Scooter Braun's house, she has "no regrets" making the feud public. A source is quoted at the source saying:

"No matter what Scooter or any of his people say, Taylor believes he did this to hurt her. She wants the truth about him to come out."

The source goes on to say that Taylor doesn't mind making enemies and, even though her original post claimed that he was a bully, he "doesn't scare her at all"

Two Female Writers Claim They Were Pushed Out of Idris Elba Play

Two female writers claim they were removed, without credit, from a high-profile British theater production.
They conceived the original idea for the show and worked for four years on the project.
They were dropped shortly before it went into production.
They felt "bullied and silenced" by the play's producers who made financial offers to buy them off.

In 2015, they worked with Elba developing and workshopping the project for the next 3 and a half years.
They were sidelined with Kwei-Armah showing a “clear intention to write the piece” as well as direct it.

Henley and Allen-Martin have set up a donations page online to raise money to pay their legal fees.
And to raise money for 'Burn Bright' to help female writers in the creative industries.

Bali to kick out beg packers

Bali immigration department has created a plan to catch these begpackers and send them to their embassies. Setyo Budiwardoyo from the immigration department said:

“We have seen many cases of problematic tourists, lately they are either Australian, British or Russian.”

Setyo said they have helped these begpackers before by providing them with food and shelter. As time pass, they started to be skeptical because some of the foreigners may be taking advantage of the situation, pretending to be beggars.

Begpackers is referred to western tourists who travel backpacker-style without sufficient funds but ask for donations, freebies, and handouts from locals. The problem has increased with many of these individuals posting about their travels and travel style on social media.

The phenomenon has grown, some countries like Thailand have taken stricter measures: visitors may be required to prove that they have at least 20,000 Baht (USD$651) in cash on them before being allowed to enter in the country and the rise of influencers.

They're everywhere in Southeast Asian countries, most of them are caucasians.
Russian travel videoblogger Aleksander Vinogradov wrote, "just two years ago it was possible to pick up a lot of money at the click of a finger, now it takes more effort than simply to print the pictures and look like a sad shit.”

You’re bound to slip up and be like, ‘That wasn’t for me,’ or ‘That didn’t fit perfectly...There have been a number of roles like that. And then a number of roles that do.”

The father of Avicii urges policymakers to address mental health problems earlier

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

- Bergling said his son was "happy" in the lead up to his death, but added: "If you are very happy or extremely happy, it's not so far to be unhappy ... small things can make you sad or move your balance and I think this is what happened."

- "Our theory is not that he planned this suicide -- more that it was like a traffic accident Many things happened and came into the same station, so to say, and brought him out of his control."

-Urges politicians to tackle mental health issues early in life. "School should be the best place for the children, so let's make it the best place for the children,"

- "The most important thing (is) trying to catch the problem earlier," he said. "It's really a political question that has to be solved, not talked about for 10 more years."

Rami Malek refused to play religious terrorist in the new Bond film

Rami Malek says that when approached by Bond directer Cary Fukunaga, he wanted to clarify that his character (the film's villain) was not a religious extremist. Malek said, "We cannot identify him with any act of terrorism reflecting an ideology or a religion. That’s not something I would entertain, so if that is why I am your choice then you can count me out." Malek, who is of Egyptian heritage, doesn't want to contribute to any stereotypes about the Middle East and has said he doesn't want to play an Arabic-speaking terrorist after playing a suicide bomber in 24.

He says that the way the character is written, he is a "different kind of terrorist."

Malek is very proud of his Egyptian heritage. He had previously said "I am Egyptian. I grew up listening to Egyptian music. I loved Omar Sharif. These are my people. I feel so gorgeously tied to the culture and the human beings that exist there."

Indie Film Release Guide: July 5th [An ONTD Original]

ONTD Indie Release Guide Graphic.png

Spider-Man: Far From Home may be swinging into theaters, but this holiday weekend is fairly light on new indie releases. Ari Aster's Midsommar is by far the biggest of the lot, getting a wide release from indie studio A24. Hopefully, it fares as well as last summer's Hereditary from the same writer/director.

The films listed are from studios other than the “Big Six” - Paramount, Warner Brothers, 20th Century Fox, Universal, Columbia and Disney. Note that some of the movies listed are in their first week or two of limited release in the USA, so it may take them a few more weeks (or months) to show up in your local arthouse theater or on VOD. Check out the posts from the past few weeks for more movies that may have just opened near you: June 28th, June 21st, and June 14th.

Midsommar

Stars: Florence Pugh, Jack Reynor, William Jackson Harper, Will Poulter
Writer/Director: Ari Aster
Genre: Drama, Horror, Mystery
Plot: A couple travels to Sweden to visit a rural hometown's fabled mid-summer festival. What begins as an idyllic retreat quickly devolves into an increasingly violent and bizarre competition at the hands of a pagan cult.
What you should know: William Jackson Harper is the only American actor in the film.
Opens in: Wide release
