Said musical number took popular Mexican folk song “cielito lindo”, changing the lyrics to ones full of racial stereotypes mentioning guacamole, beans and making fun of the conquest.

For context, Mexico’s president asked for an apology for the colonialism and abuse indigenous people suffered during this episode of Mexican (and Latin) history

Lisa Eldridge explains how she created Eva Green's makeup looks for "Dumbo"

Actual celebrity makeup artist queen Lisa Eldridge explains how she worked with Oscar-winning costume designer Colleen Atwood and director Tim Burton to create the makeup looks for Eva Green's character in "Dumbo." Lisa used historic photos of dancers and circus performers, and her own knowledge of makeup history and fashion experience, to put together looks on a model for review by Colleen and Tim. She said that some things didn't work because they would have been difficult to keep consistent over filming or to switch over a long day of shooting when multiple looks were needed.

She talks with Eva herself for most of the video about how the makeup helped her with her character as well as describing her looks for the red carpets of the movie premieres.

They would go on to have 2 children (while he was still underage) and later married in 2005. Their marriage was treated like a celebrity event with exclusive access sold to Entertainment Tonight.

* Fualaau originally filed for separation in 2017.

* a source close to the family says they tried "really hard" to make it work but things fell apart.

Good. Glad he's getting away from her, and I hope he can get some clarity and healing.

Kaley Cuoco lost her wallet at a restaurant and a fan returned it to her

Big Bang Theory actress Kaley Cuoco took to her Instagram Story earlier this week to share a sweet story about a stranger returning her wallet after she had lost it. After leaving a Sharky’s restaurant in Calabasas, California, Cuoco realized hours later that her wallet was missing. “I became fully hysterical and didn't know where it was and traced my steps and was like, ‘Oh my God, I left it there. It's gone. It's gone,’” she recalled. “I was crying. I was so upset. So I called Sharky's and someone had turned it in.”

She continues, “Someone picked it up and saw it was me, and wrote ‘Penny’ on the front on a piece of paper, gave it back to their manager and left it there. Whoever did that, whoever is out there, thank you. I wish I could've met you. I would've given you all the cash in my wallet or whatever was in there. I really would've given you anything. I was so grateful that there was someone so sweet on this earth, and honest. And it didn't go unnoticed and I will never forget that because that could've been a very bad day for me.”

ONTD, have you ever returned a lost item or wallet?

Kubrat Pulev: Heavyweight boxer given California suspension after kissing female reporter

Boxing chiefs in California have suspended Bulgarian heavyweight Kubrat Pulev's licence after he "forcibly" kissed a female reporter Jennifer Ravalo on the lips during an interview.

Pulev claimed the pair were friends, but Ravalo said she had only met the boxer a day earlier.
Ravalo's lawyer Gloria Allred said his actions were "unwelcome and unlawful".
The heavyweight has been ordered to appear in front of the California State Athletic Commission.
Ravalo said that what Pulev did was "disgusting" and left her "humiliated".

"Mid-interview he grabbed my face and kissed me. I was immediately shocked and embarrassed, and didn't know how to respond. Next, I walked to the table to put my items in my backpack. He grabbed both of my buttocks and squeezed with both of his hands. Then he walked away without saying anything to me and laughed. It made me feel uncomfortable and frustrated that Kubrat Pulev would treat me in such an unprofessional manner. I did not encourage or consent to Mr Pulev grabbing my face, kissing me, or grabbing my backside. I was there at the event covering the boxing match as a professional member of the press. Kissing a woman on her lips without her consent and grabbing her is not acceptable. No woman should be treated this way."

ONTD Original: These Were Mall Concerts

ONTD Original: These Were Mall Concerts

Having up and coming pop stars performing at malls scarcely exists today but was a true relic of 80s/90s/and a bit of 2000s yesteryears. Safiya Nygaard in her dressing like it was 1987 video lowkey gave me a frame of reference of how it was an actual thing for artists to reach out to younger audiences by being at the mall and for youth culture, especially noted in the 80's classic Tiffany's "I Think We're Alone Now" music video and the loosely parodied "Let's Go to the Mall". Maybe some of your very own favs had their humble beginnings #booking that #stage that was right next to the escalators.

Who knows if this is a pathetic pr move or if it actually helped gain audiences or if it could gain traction if more people did it today. From stand-alone concerts to actual mini tours, here are 10 instances of musicians jamming it out in the middle of a mall. If this post inspired you to go shopping, you can catch stewie_e's list of shopping songs to further get you in the mood.

Britney Spears - Hair Zone Mall Tour (1999)

Debutney did an early promotional mall tour *WITH live vocals for her debut album sporting a Spongebob-esque ensemble school uniform moment in reference to her debut hit single "Baby One More Time" and the music video for it that featured a school theme - the debut and beginning of an array of other iconic looks, hits, and music videos by Britney.

It was a debut that gave us an insight that A Star was Born, that she was American dream since she was 17, and a part of that debut took place in a mall. The fans were already hyped for the debut of a living legend, and not many pop artists debut with such warm welcomes. #debut

Billboard Removes Country Rap Song from Charts for Not Being Country Enough

A 19-year-old rapper who goes by the name Lil Nas X scored a viral hit with a country rap song entitled "Old Town Road" with a video game graphic to top off his concept. The song was even endorsed by Justin Bieber on Instagram to his millions of followers. (Mr. Hailey Baldwin is right, the song slaps.) This is the rapper's only official single which because of its nontraditional release, radio stations had to rip the audio from YouTube in order to broadcast it and the song became even more popular on the TikTok app.
Collapse )
This led to "Old Town Road" entering both the Billboard Country and Hip-Hop charts separately. That was until a few days ago when Billboard quietly informed Lil Nas X and his label that the song would be removed from the country charts because it's apparently not country enough, but could stay on the hip-hop/rap charts. Billboard's statement was that though the song made many references to county music, that was not sufficient and did not have elements of country music but Billboard initially said that including his track was a mistake. Many have compared the removal to when Beyonce's "Daddy Lessons" was not considered to be eligible for a country single category at the Grammys because both artists are black and both songs sound arguably like country songs. The removal begs the questions: in an art form that is so vast with ever-evolving genres that can crossover frequently, how does one make a stringent definition and who are the authorities to even make that distinction if the artist can't make them? And why y'all so highkey racist tho? And does the removal of Lil Nas X's song reinforce the notion that black artists are relegated to be viewed as only only rap/R&B artists?

Sources 1 2

The controversy has actually propelled the song to hit number the top ten on Spotify and iTunes. YEEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWW!

My thoughts: This final season has been SO AMAZING. It started a bit slow, but midway through it hit its stride. "Love's Not a Game" was one of the best musical numbers this show has ever done.
