There are several major studio wide releases this week, but as always, there are many, many more indies for you to peruse. On the heels of last weekend's double dose of Orson Welles films, Netflix releases two more films this week - Chris Pine's Outlaw King
, and the Coen Brothers' latest effort The Ballad of Buster Scruggs
. And this is the best week for LGBT indies in a long time, with Lez Bomb
, Postcards from London
all featuring LGBT characters.
The films listed are from studios other than the “Big Six” - Paramount, Warner Brothers, 20th Century Fox, Universal, Columbia and Disney. Note that some of the movies listed are in their first week or two of limited release in the USA, so it may take them a few more weeks (or months) to show up in your local arthouse theater or on VOD.
