Rose Byrne and Mark Wahlberg in 'Instant Family' Trailer

Based on director Sean Anders' real life story, Instant Family has a married couple played by Byrne and Wahlberg adopt a teenage girl and her two younger siblings.
The film also stars Tig Notaro, Margo Martindale, Octavia Spencer, Isabela Moner, Gustavo Quiroz, Juliana Gamiz and Tom Segura.
It was reported earlier that due to strong positive responses from test screenings, the movie was moved from Feb 15th 2019 to Nov 16th this year.  Paramount is obviously confident Instant Family could be this year's Wonder.

Wahlberg actually doesn't look too unlikeable in this, but still...

Ariana Grande’s ponytail has a mind of its own tbh

Jimmy Fallon does what he rarely does and let's Ariana Grande speak full sentences without cutting her off as he visits her backstage before the show. That’s when things get a little odd. After being offered a cold beverage Jimmy notices her ponytail is...well, alive. He is nearly left speechless, finally.

In who asked for this news; Netflix saves "Designated Survivor"

Netflix has renewed Kiefer Sutherland's political thriller Designated Survivor for a 3rd season consisting of 10 episodes.
The show aired on ABC for 2 seasons.
In season 3, President Kirkman (Sutherland) will face a political reality… campaigning. What does it take to make a leader? What price will he be willing to pay? This season will explore today's world of campaigning, smear tactics, debates, campaign finance and "fake news.” Democracy, as we know it, will hang in the balance.
Season 3 will got into production later this year and air sometime in 2019
Netflix previously also saved Lucifer, which was cancelled by FOX after 3 seasons.

Thalía - Me Oyen, Me Escuchan (Audio)

Mexican Telenovela and Latin Pop Icon Thalía is the latest celebrity to get the viral challenge treatment after a Instagram stories video went viral. In the clip she thanked fans for helping “No Me Acuerdo” (available on iTunes) reach 200 million views on YouTube.

She goes on to ask fans: “¿Están ahí, mis vidas? ¿Me escuchan? ¿Me oyen?” [translated “Are you there, my loves? Can you hear me? Can you feel me?”] Like your tía who just upgraded to el nuevo iPhone 📱 and signed up for Facebook she dances and sings the phrase over and over again and looks like she can’t figure out how to work the camera or shut it off.

The phrase and video went viral on social media thus sparking the Thalia Challenge where others imitated the video. Naturally her label Sony turned this viral moment into a single titled “Me Oyen, Me Escuchan.”

Michelle Yeoh 'horrified' over 'Guardians of the Galaxy' firing: 'Let's support James Gunn'

In an interview promoting her Crazy Rich Asians movie, Michelle Yeoh was asked about her thoughts on Gunn's firing.

"I was shocked, horrified that we can allow something like that to happen. You’re talking about things that he said in the archives. If he had said it yesterday, or today, or something like this then you can make a big fuss but why dig up something now? I don’t understand at all. It’s so unnecessary, what good does it do? ...Let’s support James Gunn, he’s such an amazing, incredible filmmaker and human being. We will fight on. You can’t keep a good guy down, that’s what I believe."

Yeoh had a cameo in Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 as Aleta Ogord.

ONTD Indie Release Guide Graphic.png

The Nun is probably going to destroy the box office this weekend thanks to basically no wide release competition. Note that some of the movies listed are in their first week or two of limited release in the USA, so it may take them a few more weeks (or months) to show up in your local arthouse theater or on VOD. Check out the posts from the past few weeks for more movies that may have just opened near you: August 31st, August 24th, and August 17th.

Moore alleged that Baron Cohen duped him into appearing on the show with claims that he’d received an award for supporting Israel.

Moore also claims that Baron Cohen has harmed his reputation and "caused him, Mrs. Moore, and his entire family severe emotional distress".

Mattel Launches own Film Division, Places Robbie Brenner as Head

The minds behind Hot Wheels, Monster High, American Girl, Barbie, Ever After High, Fischer-Price, and Masters of the Universe has gotten into the film business.

Brenner has produced iconic classics such as Mirror Mirror, and non-iconic ones such as Immortals. She is a member of the executive branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

The company already has several movies in development under other studios; Barbie is supposed to be released by Sony in 2020. Wikipedia still lists a Monster High movie as coming out next month, but let's be real, that's not happening.

Well, now they know that I wasn't."

90's Bass is Back: Here's 8 New Songs Keeping the Sound Alive

Legend INOJ and her two cult hit covers of Ready for the World's "Love You Down" and Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time" are staples of the booty bass sound of the 90's (and people commonly mistake her for singing "My Boo" by Ghost Town DJs, another classiq which became re-popularized in that short-lived meme/challenge/whatever a few years back). Well the 90's have been back for a hot minute, and now some artists bringing back that groove in these eight songs.

Edit: Bella appears to be longtime friends with Asia's accuser, Jimmy Bennett, and opened up about being abused as a child earlier this year.

Shawn Mendes would date a fan

“That’s such a silly question. Would you date a fan? It doesn’t change the fact that they’re a person. But then also one day I had a realization that you know, whoever you’re with usually is your biggest fan. And you’re their biggest fan. Half of the battle is already done there. So yeah, definitely.”

Naturally social media and the Mendes Army are like:

French actor Louis Garrel cast in Greta Gerwig's 'Little Women' adaptation

The latest addition to Greta Gerwig's never-ending list of cast attached to her upcoming movie 'Little Women' is French actor Louis Garrel (photo above). No word yet on who he'll play.

He'll join *deep breath* already confirmed cast Meryl Streep, Timothee Chalamet, Saoirse Ronan, Laura Dern, Florence Pugh, Eliza Scanlon, and James Norton. Deadline still has Emma Watson as 'in talks' to take over Emma Stone's role, so I guess (hopefully) not confirmed.

Filming starts next month in the Boston area, and if you happen to live there and want to be in the movie, they've got open casting call for extras right now:
