Brad Pitt Is 'Doing Great and Has His Energy Back' Amidst Custody Dispute with Angelina Jolie https://t.co/tjqBCl6qhJ— People (@people) June 13, 2018
In case you're wondering, Brad is doing great.
An insider reveals to People Magazine that “Brad is doing great. He has his energy back.”
And he apparently blames Angelina for his kids not spending enough time with him.
"He doesn’t talk badly about Angie, but he feels it’s her fault that the kids don’t want to spend more time with him.”
The insider says that he's dating:
“He often attends dinner parties, socializes with friends and attends events. Brad is dating, but he is very quiet about it.”
Brie Larson wants more female and underrepresented film critics: "I do not need a 70-year-old white dude to tell me what didn’t work for him about #AWrinkleInTime." https://t.co/z0ZF5ljGxN pic.twitter.com/sPoi5ArfvT— IndieWire (@IndieWire) June 14, 2018
- Last night at the Crystal+Lucy Awards, Academy Award Winner Brie Larson took her speech to address the fact that women and underrepresented groups only account for 20% of all reviewers.
- Brie said in her speech "Am I saying I hate white dudes? No, I’m not … [but if] you make the movie that is a love letter to women of color, there is an insanely low chance a woman of color will have a chance to see your movie and review your movie. [Audiences] are not allowed enough chances to read public discourse on these films by the people that the films were made for. I do not need a 70-year-old white dude to tell me what didn’t work for him about ‘[A] Wrinkle in Time.’ It wasn’t made for him. I want to know what it meant to women of color, to biracial women, to teen women of color, to teens that are biracial.”
- Larson also announced that Sundance would be delegating 20% of its top tier press passes to underrepresented groups going forward.
- Speaking on the impact of why we need a larger group of reviewers: "“It really sucks that reviews matter. Good reviews out of festivals give small, independent films a fighting chance to be bought and seen, good reviews help films gross money, good reviews slingshot films into awards contenders, a good review can change you life — it changed mine.”

Dr. Luke Denies Kesha's Claim That He Raped Katy Perry https://t.co/rorSrZXN55— E! News (@enews) June 14, 2018
In a statement to E! News, he says:
"Katy Perry herself confirmed that Dr. Luke did not rape her. Kesha's accusation to the contrary -- just like her other outrageous lies about Dr. Luke -- is baseless and irresponsible, and it is disrespectful to both Katy Perry and Dr. Luke.
"In his defamation lawsuit against Kesha, Dr. Luke seeks damages for the harm caused by these malicious falsehoods."

In a sit-down interview with Hoda Kotb, the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star explained that she learned of Johnson’s case last year and knew that with her connections, she could make a change.
“Because I knew that I had the resources to do that. It became this mission that I just didn’t want to give up,” Kim said.
The mogul received much backlash over her Oval Office meeting with 45. Kim explained to Kotb that she has no intention of ditching her career to pursue politics but she did make an effort to free Johnson and will continue to help people in need.
“I mean, I think to some people it might seem like, ‘Okay, Kim made a phone call to the president, showed up.’ We had been in talks and working on this for seven months. And it wasn’t an instant thing. It was a lot of work,” Kim said.
“People have been asking me are you getting into politics? Like no. I’m still doing me. But I enjoy this,” she added. “This has fulfilled my heart and so since I feel so fulfilled, why would I stop that?”
Johnson said that she did not know about Kardashian until she learned she was fighting for her cause. As soon as she did, she began buying every celeb magazine she could so she could learn more about her and husband Kanye West. Till this day, she still keeps their pictures inside her bible and prays for them daily.
paris jackson stopping to clean her father’s star on the hollywood walk of fame has to be the saddest thing i’ve seen all week. pic.twitter.com/sppZSTYojs— 🅹 (@onlybieberveli) June 13, 2018
Paris didn't seem too phased by it, thankfully. <3
A follower of Paris tweeted this:
@ParisJackson your actions today brought me genuine tears of pride of your bravery and strength, anger of the disrespectful idiots that would dare deface anything to do with such an icon and sadness that you have to endure that shit. So much Love for you ♥️— Vas J Morgan (@VasJMorgan) June 13, 2018
And Paris replied with:
thanks man. i was at my friend apt that lives basically next door this morning and another buddy of mine said he saw this last night. thankfully there was a walgreens half a block away. apparently it’s not his actual star but hey that’s still his name. justa bit of acetone bishhh https://t.co/qSP8PIPyHb— Paris-Michael K. J. (@ParisJackson) June 14, 2018
ONTD, what do you think about this? OP thinks it's absolutely disgusting. *edit to clarify* OP thinks it's disgusting that Paris had to do this. I don't think MJ is great, or that he doesn't/didn't deserve bad things for what he put people through. I'm only focusing on the idea that his daughter doesn't view him that way, she believes he was innocent, and it's her Dad who is dead. It's sad that she had to do it. That's all. I do not support MJ, nor do I argue that he was/is trash. Again, I agree that MJ was/is a pedophile. I'm only focusing on his daughter's feelings, because of my background in social work, I understand how she may not ever see him the way we all do.

Showtime Orders Don Cheadle, Andrew Rannells, Regina Hall Comedy ‘Black Monday’ to Series https://t.co/LsP28NhLPk— Variety (@Variety) June 14, 2018
'Black Monday,' which was ordered to pilot under the name 'Ball Street,' focuses on the worst stock market crash in Wall Street history (October 19, 1987). It follows "a group of outsiders" who crash "the world’s largest financial system, a Lamborghini limousine, Don Henley’s birthday party, and the glass ceiling."
It'll have a 10-episode first season debuting in 2019.
The show was created by David Caspe and Jordan Cahan and stars Don Cheadle (also an executive producer), Andrew Rannells, and Regina Hall. The cast also includes Paul Scheer, Yassir Lester, Michael James Scott, Eugene Corder, Casey Wilson, Ken Marino, and Kurt Braunohler. Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg will also executive produce.
Showtime president and CEO David Nevin says: “’Black Monday’ is a scathing comic commentary on the excess of the ’80s. Don Cheadle, Andrew Rannells, and Regina Hall lead a hilarious cast that takes on blue-blooded Wall Street as the Bad News Bears of Wall Street trading firms.”

Not much is known to the public about the plotline of the upcoming Captain Marvel movie, but preparing for it has made Brie Larson realize she is a lot stronger than she thought - mentally and physically. She can deadlift an impressive 215 lbs and hip thrust a whopping 400 lbs (and other bad ass shit she posts on her IG - close grip push ups with a chain draped over her back and barbell overhead walking lunges) but the biggest take away is lifting such heavy weight has made her see herself in a new light and realize that she's stronger than she thought. She says she is 'super inspired by Capt Marvel and can only hope this movie can be an inspiration for others'.

Busy Philipps Works Out 7 Days a Week but Stopped Weighing Herself: 'It Was Giving Me Anxiety' https://t.co/wF0LGJWXF6— People (@people) June 14, 2018
Busy Philipps likes to workout at LEKfit classes, ideally every day. She's not hard on herself if she does miss a day, though.
She exercises primarily as a way to deal with her mental health (anxiety) and not to lose weight: “For me, getting the endorphins and the sweat every morning is part of what I think helps me keep [my anxiety] in check."
In addition to regular exercise, she also manages her anxiety with acupuncture, visits to the infrared sauna, CBD or THC gummies, and avoiding the scale.
“I stopped weighing myself almost two years ago, because I noticed that it was giving me anxiety and really affecting my mood. If you are somebody who wants to make a life change and that scale gets you the motivation of, like, ‘Yes, I got down two lbs. this week!’ I for sure get that. But for me, just being stable in my body has helped me a lot.”

Chad Michael Murray Slams Ex Sophia Bush's Claim She Felt Pressured to Marry Him as 'Ludicrous' https://t.co/eY65kzUXFU— People (@people) June 14, 2018
- In a recent interview with Andy Cohen, Sophia was asked about her experience on One Tree Hill and being married to her co-star.
- She mentioned that she didn't really want to marry him, but felt pressured by staff as she was being told that she was the only person that could get him to work on time.
- Chad's publicists claim this is 'ludicrous' and have released a statement saying: “Chad conducts himself in a completely professional manner and would never marry for any reason but love,” the rep continued. “Thirteen years since his divorce from Sophia, he has a very happy family life with his wife and children. He has completely moved on and doesn’t feel the need to engage in this type of behavior.”

Love my old crew, everyone looking good. Wish I coulda been there but I know oversights happen. Not really upset #ImUpset— Mike Lobel (@MikeRyanLobel) June 14, 2018
This morning Drake dropped a video for his new single 'Upset'. Watch it here. The video had a high school reunion theme and featured several cast members from Degrassi: The Next Generation. Fans immediately noticed that some important cast members were missing from the video -- two of which are Daniel Clark (who played reformed bad boy Sean Cameron) and Mike Lobel (who played menace Jay Hogart). Both actors have commented on why they weren't there. According to Daniel, he wasn't invited. And he's a little upset about it. He says if he'd gotten the invite, he would've come in a heartbeat.
Mike also says his invite got lost in the mail too but he understands how oversights can happen.
Ryan Cooley (J.T. Yorke) actually was invited but thought the whole thing was a scam and didn't come.
Still no word on why Deanne Casaluce (Alex Nunez) wasn't there.
Damn, would've been great to see the whole crew there. All the more reason to have another reunion and try to get everyone this time :)

Leah Remini to play conservative lesbian in Fox pilot from It's Always Sunny producers https://t.co/RqF9VYX3Ij— Entertainment Weekly (@EW) June 15, 2018
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia co-creator and star Rob McElhenney and Sunny executive producer Rob Rosell are writing/EPing an untitled pilot. It's a Fox multi-camera comedy about "a conservative patriot named Jean who loves her country and firmly believes in everyone’s right to be left alone.”
The twist: Jean is now married to a woman, though her ex-husband and father of her two sons lives in their garage.
Sunny co-creator/star Glenn Howerton, star Charlie Day, and EP Nick Frenkel will also executive produce.
This show is in line with Fox's recent comedy strategy, with a focus on multi-cam comedies that appeal to Middle America (a la Roseanne).

72% felt that the show should end after season 9.

12. Ariana Grande - "What Will My Scandal Be (SNL Monologue)"
Addressed: Donut Licking Scandal
Leaked footage from a security cam of a donut shop showed Ariana and her then-bf licking donuts that were on display. While looking at the sugary items around the store, she said "“What the f*ck is that? I hate Americans” in a raised voice.
She made a formal written apology about how she was #frustrated about child obesity and made an apology video on her YT channel. On an episode of SNL where she was hosting, she addressed it again as a 'childish' scandal, and poked fun at the idea with the song "What Will My Scandal Be" hoping one day to achieve an 'adult' scandal.
OP's notes? MY issue with this moment was not the fact she was being ick nast and lickin them donuts, but her rude behavior and saying "what the f*ck is that" to the person working who was showing her a tray of donuts. Like... okay. Still skeptic about her personality & juvenile social media persona but whatevs! I'm here for the music. #SweetenerIsComing

When it comes to adapting comic book characters it can sometimes be a slippery slope. Comic fans expect to see the most popular version of their faves adapted closesly to their comic counterpart. However showrunners/Directors often want to put their own spin on a character which can either be really good or REALLY bad. They will often sight "we have our own continuity" "there are many versions of the character to choose from". If an adaption is good then most fans are able to come to terms with the change but if an adaption is bad, they will let you know.
Here are what I consider some of the best and worst DC Comics adaptions for tv/film.
Best: DCAU Justice League: Hawkgirl aka Shayera Hol
When the Justice League animated series debuted there were A LOT of changes from what fans knew of the line up in the comics. Hawkgirl being a founder member was one of them. Hawkgirl is probably the best case of the "many versions of the character", she has had her origins changed left and right. While Shayera Hol in the comics was a Thanagarian police force much the same to the DCEU version, she was constantly attached to Hawkman. The DCAU adaption of the character made Hawkgirl the primary Hawk, her connection to Hawkman briefly touched upon but for the most part she was her own woman. The DCAU sent shockwives in the League when it was revealed that Shayera had come to Earth as a spy for her people. She ended up choosing Earth and started up a relationship with John Stewart, the resident Green Lantern shying away from the common couple canon of Hawkman/Hawkgirl.
