Furthermore, there are speculations that the new album is titled "High as Hope" according to a Bulgarian distributor listing an LP by Florence to be released under that name. It's supposedly coming out June 29th. Furthermore the first single called "Sky Full Of Song" is rumoured for release on April 21st.
The listing on the Bulgarian site has since been taken down, but of course the internet never forgets!

When am I getting a studio recording of the extended version of this song? The way she performed it at Hyde Park was glorious, perfect mix of human sacrifice/G-rated orgy/dance party.
-She doesn’t actually address anything.
-Says this is the most open she’s ever been and people can’t expect her to be open about every little thing in her personal life.
-Listen to her album for an insight on her life.
-Invasion of Privacy out now.
nah but ONTD, how you feeling this album? I’m on track 6 and it’s actually better than I expected.

Ellie Goulding admits that Brits speech on women 'stepping up' wasn't her idea https://t.co/QXQaze8CVt— Metro Entertainment (@Metro_Ents) April 4, 2018
Ellie Goulding admitted in a recent interview that it wasn't her idea to address Recording Academy President Neil Portnow's comments on women needing to step up in her speech at the Brit awards:
"To be completely honest with you, I was asked to say that. I didn’t want to say no, because I thought it was something that should have been said by someone. I was like 'if no one else is going to say it, then I’ll say it'".
Ellie Goulding shades Recording Academy president Neil Portnow's comment about women needing to step up by saying on live television: "I think we can all agree that we've been stepping up for years". #BRITs2018 pic.twitter.com/P99emtuxiU— Music News Facts (@musicnewsfact) February 21, 2018
Ellie Goulding says she massively respects the Grammys but she still wishes for "a little bit more equality".
This weekend's full of newly-released critically-acclaimed and anticipated movies (which is weird for early April).
The comedy 'Blockers', starring John Cena and Leslie Mann, already made $1.5 million from Thursday night previews. It's up against horror flick 'A Quiet Place', with $4.3M on Thursday and 'You Were Never Really Here' (in limited release). Given the first two movies' budgets (see below), both are expected to be hits, commercially and critically.
-- 'Blockers' (RT score at 82%) is estimated to make over $20M this weekend, which was the production budget for the comedy.
-- 'A Quiet Place' (RT score at 97%) is expected to make around $20M as well, and was produced for $17M.
-- Last weekend's top spotter, Spielberg's borefest 'Ready Player One,' has made $59M so far (on a $175 million[!!!!] budget, yikes - though I'm sure WB is thanking God over China's BO for it), and would have to make around $26M at least to keep the top spot. It'll be a tight race this weekend.
Rihanna got to play in a giant pit of pink balls. It's promo for her new products, Fenty Fairy Bombs, which are pom poms full of body glitter.

Riri also posed in a leather dress, looking amazing.

*Ari voice* Let's go back to the way it was at the turn of the millennium ('98-'01) where music was filled with bouncy dance beats, computerized harpsichord samples, and sleek synth guitars made by Darkchild, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, and others. And in the music videos of these songs were ambitious CGI visuals depicting what the future would look like with digital themes and futuristic cityscapes. Don't forget about the large gradient sunglasses.
Like how things from the past come back in trend after 20 years, an appreciation of this era is growing, seen with this popular blog dedicated to Y2K aesthetics and upcoming artists who grew up in that time being inspired by it. Here's 21 hits of this era that will make you want to put on your silver popstar space pants and a bandana around your head. S/O to alienjiive for the glitter text inspiration.
J.Lo was coming off from the success of Selena and launched a somewhat successful musical career with this debut #1 single. The video has to be the epitome of Y2K from the color palette and accompanying aesthetics. Wavy artist Drake referenced this song in 2017's "Teenage Fever."

+ Praises John Hughes for his movies which took teenagers seriously, but calls attention to his blind spots regarding sexual assault
+ Points to Hughes' previous writings for National Lampoon Magazine, which involved several stories involving rape
+ Discusses her issues with The Breakfast Club, Pretty in Pink, and Sixteen Candles in hindsight, specifically the sexual harassment/implied assault in both The Breakfast Club and Sixteen Candles
+ Met with Haviland Morris, the woman who played Caroline in Sixteen Candles to discuss her opinion on her character being [tw: rape]blackout drunk and "traded" by her boyfriend to the geek character so he could have sex with her. Morris doesn't have a problem with the scene, and said, "not saying that it’s O.K. to then be raped or to have nonconsensual sex...[but] here’s a girl who gets herself so bombed that she doesn’t even know what’s going on."
+ Concludes that the movies are important works of art, but the conversations around them should continue to evolve with the times.
It's a long but interesting piece, imo, worth the read!
