'The Girls' author Emma Cline sued for plagarizing her ex's work

  • Emma Cline, novelist of 'The Girls' (which I've heard is a hit or miss in general opinions) has recently been emboiled in a deep scandal steming from her novel.

  • Her ex-boyfriend is suing her and she's suing him right back for "ludicrus" acts. He claims she plagiarized her novel using spyware installed on his email and other accounts.

  • Cline accessed his email and other accounts, mining All Sea, a screenplay he was working on for The Girls. He alleges that Cline “systematically surveilled his private email obsessively over a period of years.”

Saïd Taghmaoui drops out of Legion Season 2, Shadow King to be recast

  • Saïd Taghmaoui, best known for appearing in Wonder Woman, has unexpectedly dropped out of his role in FX's Legion.

  • Taghmaoui joined the second season of the show back in July as the Shadow King, Amahl Farouk.

  • He deleted his tweets talking about the show, and it is currently unknown as to why he dropped out. The role has of this writing, yet to be recast.

  • Season 2 of Legion premieres next year and stars Dan Stevens, Rachel Keller, Jean Smart, Bill Irwin, Jermaine Clement, Amber Midthunder, and Aubrey Plaza. The show recieved no Emmy nominations, which was a shock, as Stevens, Smart, and Plaza were totally robbed. No seriously, they were.

something seems fishy about why he left, and deleted his tweets. management? anyway the cast is amazing.

Demi Lovato's 'Tell Me You Love Me' Music Video

The video for the Demi's next single and title track of her latest (shoulda been-nominated for a Grammy) album Tell Me You Love Me was dropped at 10am this morning and it is AWESOME. A nearly 7-minute long-form video, directed beautifully by Mark Pellington, co-starring Jesse Williams, it is as strong as the powerful song it is made for is.

My favorite part is the take on "Everything I need is standing right in front of me" and where Demi is standing, what she is looking at and the look on her face. So powerful. Honestly, this video was everything I was hoping for and so much more! Slay, Demetria!

The View reacts to Flynn news live, Jay-Z's infidelity and Kimmel v. Moore

It's Friday and The View finds out live to the news of Michael Flynn admitting that he was guilty of lying to the FBI and that he has promised to work in full cooperation with the special counsel's investigation. He is prepared to testify that Trump directed him to make contact with Russians when he was a presidential candidate in a breaking scoop by ABC NEWS. The panel reacts live and analyses the Flynn indictment with Ana Navarro.

They discuss the ongoing saga that is Roy Moore. How the man has now started a Twitter war with Jimmy Kimmel. It even further escalates to a possibility of a Kimmel v. Moore in Alabama. Air it ABC, you will get ratings galore!

If you didn't know about it already, Jay-Z sat down with the New York Times for a sit down interview. He sits down with the executive editor of the NY Times with Dean Baquet to talk about therapy, marriage and politics. They hit the topic of his infidelity with Queen Bey and moving from that event. It was a great segue to Selena Gomez talking about how she is still friends with the Weekend and she's currently with Justin Bieber. So, they discuss CAN YOU STILL BE FRIENDS WITH YOUR EX?

A SHOWDOWN WITH THE BLACK HOOD — After snooping around for Christmas gifts, Veronica uncovers a major secret Hiram has been keeping from her (embezzling?? love child?? PORN PAST!?!?!?).

Fallout from Jughead’s encounter with Penny Peabody (aka a lawyer nicknamed the Snake Charmer who --no, duh-- lied to Jughead and is blackmailing him) creates tension between him and FP.

Meanwhile, a defiant Cheryl takes matters into her own hands after Penelope tells her they cannot afford Christmas this year.

Finally, Betty and Archie’s vow to take down the Black Hood once and for all leads to a dangerous showdown.

Directed by Rob Seidenglanz and written by Shepard Boucher. Airing on Dec 13, this will be the midseason finale until the show returns in January.

Meghan Markle stood up for women at the age of 11

How Meghan Markle shook the advertising world as a young girl with a letter challenging gender roles.

— Inside Edition (@InsideEdition) November 30, 2017

Meghan Markle, at just 11 years old, after seeing a commercial in which women were washing dishes, wrote a letter saying how they should change the word 'women' into the word 'people' because kids shouldn't be taught that mom does everything all the time. They actually changed it after they read Meghan's letter.

Jamie Chung apologizes to Henry Golding over comments on Crazy Rich Asians casting

Collapse )

Henry Golding responds:

- Jamie Chung in an interview in April 2017 made candid comments in the casting over Crazy Rich Asian when interviewer surprised her and said the male lead was biracial. Question where we draw the line in being "ethnically conscious" and that "it That is some bulls**t." When she went after a role in CRA, casting specifically said they were only looking for ethnically Chinese actors (Additional Note: Henry Golding is not ethnically Han Chinese, his family roots are from an indigenous tribe called Iban in Malaysia).
- "It sounds like I made you mad." - Interviewer in that April 2017 piece stated after Jamie responds.
- EDIT: Henry Golding in recent interviews said he was hurt to see comments that he wasn't Asian enough for the role.
- Henry Golding says it's all good and he's a fan of Jamie's work. :)

Inside how Warner Bros. messed everything up for 'Justice League'

TL;DR version

  • Then WB president Greg Silverman was pressured by other executives to fire Zack Snyder after BVS, but did nothing, blaming the high cost of replacing a director and Snyder already being deep into prep.

  • Snyder was being extremely micromanaged during and after production, even after he continued to work after his daughter's suicide in March, to the point where “it stopped being a good situation on any level.”. In May, Snyder stepped down and was replaced by Joss Whedon.

  • CEO Kevin Tsujihara and current president Toby Emmerich were too worried that they wouldn't recieve their "bonuses" if they moved Justice League's release date to 2018, and ultimately decided against it, even after Snyder's departure.

  • In the end, Justice League is a product of Zack Snyder, Joss Whedon, and Warner Bros. executives who care more about money than making a good movie.

  • Signs point to Snyder being all but done with the DCEU.

  • Geoff Johns had almost no control during Justice League, but is said to be very involved in future DCEU projects.

Pamela Anderson says the Weinstein victims should have known better

  • Noted attention whore and recent face transplant patient Pamela Anderson has come under fire for attacking the victims of disgraced asshole Harvey Weinstein.

  • Taking a page from Elisabeth Hasselbeck's book, Pam says that women "know what you’re getting into if you’re going into a hotel room alone," in an interview with "New Black Panther Party" head and white Santa advocate Megyn Kelly.

  • “Don’t go into a hotel room alone," Anderson added. "If someone answers the door in a bathrobe, leave. This is things that are common sense, but I know Hollywood is very seductive and the people want to be famous. Sometimes you think you are going to be safe with an adult in a room. I don't know where this security comes from, but somehow I dodged it all."

  • After backlash, Pam responded on her instagram with "Backlash is good. - I like this. My position is not 'problematic' because I doesn't fall in line with the common herd or trend. I'm trying to tell women as a survivor of childhood abuse myself - It is important to be proactive as an adult who knows better - in defending themselves."
