To recap: Anne Helene Petersen of Buzzfeed wrote an article about how Hollywood had been trying to make Armie Hammer happen for 10 years and he kept flopping.
Armie Hammer caught wind of the article, got pissed at the writer and then flounced from twitter. Since then a number of his white male friends have stepped up to cry that despite being a general film flop and a rich white male whose coasted all his life, the article is too mean. The latest person to "defend" him is Canadian writer/director/actor Xavier Dolan.
British director Gurinder Chadha who is best known for her hit film Bend It Like Beckham was honoured at the Women in Hollywood London celebration where she spoke out about sexism in the film industry
She's said she's emailed Star Wars producer Kathleen Kennedy to ask why she's not capable of directing a Star Wars film
Kennedy came under fire a year ago when she said that she was looking for women directors for Star Wars but wanted to make sure to find the right ones since you can't come into directing Star Wars with "no experience"
Chadha has been directing since 1990 and has directed 14 films, TV movies and shorts
The Star Wars series still has zero women directors attached to any of their films either in production or development

Temporary protection from being deported, allows them to work.). - Trump administration wants to shut down DACA. Less than 5 months until Congress makes a decision in regards to the program. Bamba came out as undocumented and is putting a call to action to Hollywood to stand with immigrants.

C.B. Cebulski officially starts his role as Marvel's new Editor-in-Chief today, and begins so admitting that he wrote for Marvel using the name "Akira Yoshida."
Yoshida was a Japanese writer who wrote several different miniseries for Marvel in 2004 before suddenly stopping all comic work. Cebulski was first asked about being Yoshida in 2006 but denied it, saying Yoshida was a real person and had the pictures to prove it. Those pictures were never released. Marvel editor Mike Marts was also asked about Yoshida in 2015, and admitted he was a real person that he had lunch with (that man turned out to be a translator who was visiting the office). The story kept popping up over the years and kept being denied.
Cebulski decided a few years ago to "kill off" Yoshida, resigning from his position at the company and being hired as a Talent Manager who could write on a freelance basis. When the possibility of him becoming EiC was floated, Cebulski confessed to Marvel what he has done and was forgiven for it.
In a statement to Bleeding Cool, Cebulski says: "I stopped writing under the pseudonym Akira Yoshida after about a year. It wasn’t transparent, but it taught me a lot about writing, communication and pressure. I was young and naïve and had a lot to learn back then. But this is all old news that has been dealt with, and now as Marvel’s new Editor-in-Chief, I’m turning a new page and am excited to start sharing all my Marvel experiences with up and coming talent around the globe."
Just reminding everyone that Vikings premieres tomorrow at 9/8c, before the premiere there will be a 1 hr "Saga of Lagertha" special recapping her journey through the show.

“Many of my readers have been with me for years, and have grown along with my characters,” Clare wrote in her Tumblr announcement. “And over those years, readers of all ages have come to me both to say that they would like to read books about older characters, and also to say that they’d love to see me build my own new world from the ground up.” lol
It's been 11 years since the Hotel heiress, pop icon and child actress went out together for the first time. The first images this powerful trio became legendary back in 2006.
At the time, Lindsay and Paris were known as enemies, with Lindsay claiming that Paris hit her at a party only a night before. The frenemies took this opportunity to dispell the rumors. Before getting into her car, Paris made Lindsay tell the paparazzi "the truth." Lindsay, without emotion, said that she lied about the hitting incident the night before and that Paris would never do that.
One year after their first outing as friends, Britney lived the worst year of her life, Paris was leaked and exposed for filth before later spending time in jail and Lindsay continued to suffer a battle with drugs and alcohol.
Disney's garbage remake of 'Beauty and the Beast', which unfortunately is still the top-grosser of 2017, will be released for one week in two theaters in NYC/LA starting this Friday for awards consideration. Playboy supermodel Anna Nicole Smith would've celebrated her 50th birthday today. John Mayer says he watched parts of ex-girlfriend Katy Perry’s 96 hour live stream sharing what was weird about it, added that he texted Katy Perry 'happy birthday'.
During Monday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live Andy Cohen asked Mayer if he saw Katy Perry’s 96 hour live stream - "That’s her thing, man. To go big and bold, yeah I checked in with it. It's odd to watch your ex-girlfriend asleep", he said.
"It would have been almost weirder if you didn't check in, you were together for years", Cohen said. "If someone says I don't watch that, it's like, yes you do", John continued and added "I texted Katy happy birthday, it was 4 in the morning."
Harry Styles is getting some love down under these days. The singer attended Australia's premier music award show where he won Best International Act and performed his new single Kiwi. Harry came dressed to impress in a purple suit and black, Hot Topic-esque fingernails.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announced their engagement this past Monday. The couple is expected to tie the knot next year in May and one can't help but wonder who will be attending and who will be performing at the wedding. It's no secret that Prince Harry is a big fan of The Killers and is friends with the band for ten years now. Harry has even had late night jam sessions with the band. Whether Prince Harry can actually play an instruement or he's simply given a tambourine to jam along with is unclear.
Earlier this year, drummer Ronnie Vannucci Jr. had this to say about Harry: “He just showed up at a show one time and we got along. I mean, it’s been ten years I guess. There’s been a lot of long nights. There have been cousins and things like that from the [royal] family and they’re all just regular dudes and nice people. It’s safe to say we didn’t grow up with the sort of bedazzlement of having a Royal Family or anything, so I wasn’t educated in what it means to know these people first. Maybe that’s what made things cool. It was just like, ‘Hey, man’.” One can't help but wonder if Prince Harry could quite possibly invite the band to perform at the Royal Wedding next year. Ellie Gouldingperformed a rendition of Elton John's "Your Song" for his brother Prince William and Kate Middleton's first dance.
Perhaps Brandon Flowers could cover an Elton John song for Prince Harry and Meghan, Flowers is after all a major fan of the "Candle in the Wind" singer as well as friends with him. How could The Killers not be the obvious choice for this? "Mr. Brightside" + UK? The palace walls would be LIT. Queen Elizabeth II would be coming out of her cage and feeling just fine and getting her life to "When You Were Young." Look, it's not just me who thinks it's a possibility.
Katy Perry sat down with People to share her thoughts on judging "American Idol," her tour fashion evolution, body positivity and more.
When discussing her tour and fashion evolution she says, "I like trying new things, I like experimenting musically sonically and with my style and trends change. You know, I like to start trends not necessarily follow them... I would say there's one costume maybe like every year that kind of like rises to the top and becomes a 'Halloween costume.' And that's when you know that you're like doing something is when people dress as you for Halloween."
While his Shadowhunters costar Matthew Daddario (who plays a gay man) was livestreaming on Facebook, Dominic can be heard in the background referring to him as a f**.

Bear's father must've had some downtime between sets, because he went on an Instagram liking spree, double tapping on actual supermanHenry Cavill's sweaty post work out pic.
“We’d be on the tour together, I’d come back to the hotel and the last thing I want to talk about or think about is the movie, and he comes back and that’s all he wants to talk about. I was doing double duty of trying to be a supportive partner while also being like, ‘Can I please, for the love of God, not think about ‘mother!’ for one second?’”
Hollywood's worst kept secret finally received the attention it deserved thanks to the amazing and brave women who came forward with their stories. Harvey Weinstein was properly exposed for the vile piece of shit he truly is. While Hollywood wants to act shocked, there are many more men like Weinstein in the industry whether they are producers or actors. In light of the stories and accusations, I have decided to take a look at all the men in Hollywood who have been accused of abuse or harassment or who are just straight up trash.
Promoting her new film The Post, Streep talked about her character, Katharine Graham, the former publisher of The Washington Post who was the first female CEO of a fortune 500 company
I try to tell young women who weren’t alive then how different it was very recently and it still is in those leadership circles. We’ve filled up the bottom of the pyramid, but where it all gets decided, we don’t have parity. We’re not even close. … It’s relevant to today.

-Luis Fonsi was a guest on a Serbian Late Night talk show and he talked about his career before 'Despacito'. -He only had one hit on his first album, then two hits on his second album, and he talked about how he had to work for his success, one step at a time. -The host tells him no one actually knows the lyrics to 'Despacito' apart from the title (the host is being brutally honest the entire interview lol but in a joking manner), and Luis jokes he also makes up the lyrics on the spot sometimes on which the host defends himself with 'Justin Bieber does not know the lyrics either so it's okay'. -He's been well-known in Latin America since he was 18 years old. He acted in soap operas and on Broadway, but he enjoys being a singer and doing concerts the most. -The host asks him about the girl from the video 'Despacito' and Luis jokes he can give him her number, she was Miss Universe. -He plugs his new song with Demi Lovato. -He talks about the big ballad he did with Mariah Carey, and talks working with Christina Aguilera. -He talks about the hurricane in Puerto Rico on which the host jokes 'Is the girl from the video okay?' -He says Justin Bieber recorded the remix on his own, they weren't in the studio together. -He says he gave Justin a full english version to record but Justin wanted to do it in Spanish and he took the time to learn a bit of Spanish and how it sounded so he can record it and keep the originality of the song and says Justin did a good job and should get credit for it. -The host obviously does not like Justin Bieber. He said if he said anything bad about Justin, his fans would kill him. -Luis talks about the parodies that came after 'Despacito'. -Luis said about this interview: 'I wish press conferences were this interesting' and the host says 'Well, you never know with Donald Trump.'
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, director David Yates explained:
"Honestly, there’s an issue at the moment where there’s a lot of people being accused of things, they’re being accused by multiple victims, and it’s compelling and frightening. With Johnny, it seems to me there was one person who took a pop at him and claimed something. I can only tell you about the man I see every day: He’s full of decency and kindness, and that’s all I see. Whatever accusation was out there doesn’t tally with the kind of human being I’ve been working with." ( Collapse ) source
