Happy 44th Birthday, Hip Hop!



Today marks the 44th birthday of the infamous back-to-school jam thrown by the legendary DJ Kool Herc at a block party in the Bronx. Instead of playing full tracks he decided to only play the breaks. Then his friend Coke La Rock got on the mic and that's when they made history.

Riverdale Roundup: Meet Veronica's Ex, Deleted Scenes, Other Stuff




-Graham Phillips (from The Good Wife) plays Nick St. Clair, Veronica's ex-boyfriend who will appear in two episodes. In the comics, he was a stereotypical "bad boy" who wore a leather jacket and rode a motorcycle and stuff. On the show, he'll be a privileged little shit.

-Apparently he brings out Veronica's "dark side" but eventually all the girls will band together to get rid of him.

Chloë, 20, recently revealed in an interview that she had a crush on Aaron, 29, when she was 4 years old. Aaron, freshly broken up with Madison Parker, leaped at the opportunity with not one, but two tweets.





Hopefully Chloë has the good sense to say no and stay far away from Aaron's party. To be continued...?

What was late night's opening monologue fodder?

- On Corden, he talks about Trump firing off at McConnell. The jokes are on tweeting while golfing and McConnell not knowing how to use Twitter. He mentions the giant inflatable chicken with Trump hair floating behind the White House. He talks about how Scaramucci compared himself to Monica Lewinsky.

- On Colbert, he also talked about Trump v. McConnell. He jokes about Trump posting a video being all-American. Colbert doesn't want the world to blow up. He talks about the tense relationship between Trump and Colbert.

- On Kimmel, he tees into Trump ratching it up in regards to North Korea. Kimmel wonders where Dennis Rodman is to help? They joke about if Trump is drunk right now. Kimmel calls him TRAGIC for RT-ing a fake poll on Twitter and being needy.

- On Meyers, he also hits up the Trump v. North Korea. He jokes about Tillerson saying that Americans should sleep nicely, but we haven't since November. "Fire and fury" wasn't vetted language. Polygon fires Nick Robinson following sexual harassment allegations + Nick Robinson's apology

Polgyon's editor-in-chief Chris Grant has posted an update regarding the situation with video producer Nick Robinson, who was accused of sexually harassing women within the gaming news industry, stating Nick Robinson and Polygon are officially parting ways.


Brief recap:

  • Here is a link to the previous post

  • People within the game industry were accusing someone of "hiding behind a soft and unassuming image to disguise predatory behaviour", referring to Nick Robinson

  • Eventually, after Nick Robinson made a rude tweet about the developers of Overcooked, Bloody Honey from Alpha Six Productions tweeted that "maybe Nick would have time to help the Overcooked devs out if he wasn't in every woman in games' DMs all the time"

  • This lead to many women coming forward about Nick Robinson having harassed them in the past (asking for nudes, making unwanted and persistent sexual avances), along with him apparently pining after an underaged girl (while being fully aware she was underage)

  • Nick Robinson is known for having a large following. Granted, when they did speak out some of the victims were forced to deactivate their Twitter account or lock it following harassment from Nick's fans

This morning the Red Dwarf twitter account revealed the episode titles for the new series in a wordsearch

Tennis Star Victoria Azarenka: My Ex and a Judge Are Making Me Skip the US Open




Azarenka is locked in a nasty dispute with Billy McKeague (the father of her 8-month-old son, Leo).
She's not allowed to take the child out of California while the custody trial rages.
The trial is not going to end until October, and the US Open kicks off August 28 in New York.
She was willing to buy a plane ticket for McKeague and put him up in a hotel for the 2-week tournament, but the judge said no.

Empire Has Prince-Themed Episode in New Season


Characters Jamal (Jussie Smollett) and Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray) will perform a rendition of the late legend's 'Let's Go Crazy' in the fourth episode of the upcoming fourth season. It will take place at a birthday party, so "everybody, all of the cast, is going to be dressed in a Prince theme," says executive producer Sanaa Hamri.

Hamri was a close friend to Prince, even directing the music video for 'Musicology.' She reveals Prince was an avid watcher of Empire and was even talking about appearing on the show.
