Jill Soloway calls Donald Trump an “Inheritor To Hitler” backstage at the Emmys

Jill Soloway was asked backstage after her Emmy win about Transparent and its season 2 storyline involving multiple flashback to 1930's Berlin...

"So Jews were otherized in Nazi Germany to gain political power for Hitler, and right now Donald Trump is doing the same thing. He's otherizing people. He calls women pigs if they don’t look like beauty pageant contestants. He blames Muslim and Mexicans for our problems. He makes fun of disabled people. This is otherizing with a capital O, and has been used in our history before to start and win wars, and he needs to be called out every chance he gets for being one of the most dangerous monsters to ever approach our lifetimes. He's a complete dangerous monster, and any moment that I have to call Trump out for being an inheritor to Hitler, I will."

Marc Jacobs does not discriminate, IT'S A FACT

After telling people to think about it and after he read "all your comments", Marc Jacobs wants to make sure you know he actually DOES see color, ONTD!

themarcjacobs ...and I thank you for expressing your feelings. I apologize for the lack of sensitivity unintentionally expressed by my brevity. I wholeheartedly believe in freedom of speech and freedom to express oneself though art, clothes, words, hair, music...EVERYTHING.
Of course I do “see” color but I DO NOT discriminate. THAT IS A FACT!

Please continue to express your feelings freely but do it kindly. Nothing is gained from spreading hate by name calling and bullying.

The Case of Jon Benét Ramsey on CBS - Part 1 Review

CBS's team investigators reexamined everything from the 911 call to the murder scene – and they're not so sure her family is innocent.

-The original 911 dispatcher, Kim Archuletta, felt Patsy's 911 call sounded very rehearsed. Claimed hearing Patsy saying "We called the police. Now what?"
-Some of the lines from the ransom note sound like they're lifted from famous crime films. (Dirty Harry and Speed)
-According to forensic pathologists, a large flashlight was very likely the murder weapon
-The Ramseys' televised interviews are still a little suspect

Whataburger is not here for Wonder Womans new logo

-Whataburger thinks that WWs new logo is hitting to close to home in resembling their own logo
-Is in "friendly" talks with DC about this
-Whataburger & DC had a similar issue in the 80s that was quickly squashed due to both parties recongizing that the two logos constituted separate trademarks due to one being a fast food chain and the other a comic book
-Whataburger seems to be worried that WWs new logo will be used for fast food chain promotion in the future which may cause confusion

Kim K drags the Wall Street Journal for denying the Armenian genocide

  • In April the Wall Street Journal published a full page ad denying the Armenian Genocide

  • Kim took out a full page ad in the Saturday edition of the New York Times blasting the WSJ for their decision

  • “For the Wall Street Journal to publish something like this is reckless, upsetting and dangerous,” Kim wrote. “It’s one thing when a crappy tabloid profits from a made-up scandal, but for a trusted publication like WSJ to profit from genocide – it’s shameful and unacceptable.”

Cathriona White's estranged husband hits Jim Carrey with wrongful death lawsuit

You may remember last year when news broke that Cathriona White, an Irish makeup artist that was dating Jim Carrey, committed suicide after the actor ended the relationship. It is now being reported by multiple sources including Page Six that while White had been dating Carrey on and off since 2013 she was still legally married to a man named Mark Burton. White's estranged husband is also claiming that Carrey was responsible for her death.

The cocktail of prescriptions that White had taken to end her own life were allegedly all prescribed to an "Arthur King" which the lawsuit claims was an alias of Carrey. Burton's lawsuit also claimed that Carrey was very controlling of White and obsessed over her every move including keeping her under surveillance. Burton also claims that Carrey publicly stated he would pay for White's funeral costs in Ireland but ended up not following through upon learning she had left all her money to her family. Burton additionally claims Carrey was essentially pretending to grieve for press.

While the finances of the funeral are obviously not public record a quick Google search shows that he was part of the services acting as one of White's pallbearers.

Carrey's people have not commented regarding the allegations.

Comic book post: August breaks record; She-Hulk gets new solo; major Civil War II spoilers coming

August was a huge month for the comic industry: over 10 million books were shipped to comic book stores, the most since April of 1997. Harley Quinn #1 lead the pack with 360,000 shipped out. Civil War II #1 still leads the year with 382,000 but because DC allows their books to be returned, and Diamond Distrubtors reduces 10% of those orders on sales chart, it's very possible Harley is the top seller. Final numbers will come at the end of the year.

DC has even more to celebrate: Rebirth is completely owning the sales charts. 25 of the top 30 are Rebirth titles with Amazing Spider-Man #16 being the only Marvel title to make the top 10. Walking Dead #157, Star Wars #22, Black Panther #5 round out the non-DC titles.

The Top 300 for August can be found here. A more detailed chart can be found here.

She-Hulk is getting a new solo, and she's getting rid of the "she." Hulk starts this December with Mariko Tamaki and Nico Leon. Will deal with the aftermath of Civil War II (which won't even be over when this book comes out!!) as Jen tries to get her life back in order after she almost died fighting Thanos.

Bleeding Cool has a scoop regarding this week's release (finally!) of Civil War II #5. Apparently,[Spoiler (click to open)]our pal Ulysses has another vision of a major superhero killing off another . Since this moment is potentially newsworthy, its possible Marvel will get the story out before it hits shelves to control spoilers.

Taylor Swift is NOT Interested in Collab w/ Katy Perry

Even though Katy has extended the olive branch in her tweets, Taylor wants no part of it.

Apparently Taylor thinks Katy is now a flop and cantsitwithus not because she's still pressed over their "feud", but because Taylor does not want to be seen with a has-been.

Jimmy Fallon Defends Softball Trump Interview: ‘Have You Seen My Show?’

After the Emmys, Fallon was asked about the Trump interview by TMZ. Fallon did not care for the critique, replying: “Have you seen my show? I’m never too hard on anyone." And called Trump a "good sport" and that his hair felt like the hay in an Easter basket.

He did not answer the question of who he'd prefer defending New York. Instead he said, “Just get out there and vote. Everyone just vote, vote, vote. Register; vote. Vote, vote vote.”

Gemma Arterton says casting directors now look at actors social media followers

  • Says that her other actress friends are told to make more posts of themselves looking hot in different outfits by their agents

  • Thinks that producers will always cast the actor with more followers because they have more people to promote their films to

  • Basically the only reason she can get away with posting pics of good and other random stuff is because she started her career earlier and already can get roles based on previous work

Death Note Remake Promises Nudity, Swearing, and “A Ton of Violence”

When promoting his latest project Blair Witch, director Adam Wingard had this to say about his upcoming anime turned live action film Death Note:

"We can do whatever we want. And that was the cool thing about it, because it’s an anime film, so, technically, it’s a cartoon that you’re bring to life. To me, the thing about anime is that it’s so adult-oriented. I remember going to Suncoast growing up and you see Akira there with the little “Not for Kids” sticker on it. That always made an impact on me. So, doing my first live-action anime thing, to me it was important that you have those adult themes. So, it’s got nudity, it’s got swearing, it’s got a ton of violence. Jason Eisener, who did Hobo with a Shotgun. I brought him on as second-unit director. There’s basically like three good Jason Eisner short films in there and they’re all very gory. I was able to just turn him loose sometimes, and just do some crazy stuff. With the combined efforts, I think we ended up with a really nasty and crazy film."

Radar Online allegedly knows the identity of the A-lister who raped Corey Haim

-But they're not revealing it yet
-Apparently he's an A-lister who is sort of the "kingpin" of a massive pedophile ring that is an open secret in Hollywood
-He's a household name and "revered worldwide" D:
-He has children of his own but has never "come out as gay" (so he's closeted? idk what they're getting at there)
-Radar is a mess but they've been investigating for over 4 years and have all their sources lined up
-People in the business knew what was happening but kept basically handing kids over to be abused
-Corey Feldman would love to expose the rapist but due to statues of limitation and libel laws, he could end up in legal trouble
-According to a source, one of Haim’s closest confidants is preparing to tell all — and name names — in the hope that new laws can be passed that would extend the statute of limitations for underage victims of sex abuse.

He’s been offered various platforms to tell the story, including a primetime television special.

“Holding power to account is justice,” the source said. “This individual should be quaking in his boots. Their life is about to come crashing down.”

Source has more details.

  • Louth law firm Smyth & Son issued the action for its client David Lewis last Thursday and have since refused to comment on the case.
