Donald Trump: Megyn Kelly had blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her....wherever

In an interview with CNN's Don Lemon(never forget: "Dam, Don. They got ha"), Donald Trump called Fox News' Megyn Kelly, Friday night's debate moderator, a "lightweight" and also suggested that Kelly was on her period, which is why she asked such tough questions(which she should have). No, Don did not grill Trump after that comment.

13 Forgotten Teletoon Cartoons

Due to the surge of Canada-ness on ONTD what with the upcoming elections, here is a list of relatively obscure Teletoon cartoons. They range from mildly popular, to having a small but dedicated fanbase, to straight up phantom. Some are Teletoon originals, while others have aired in other countries and on American television stations. Everything is before 2007 since that's when I stopped watching tho.

THE DIARY OF A TEENAGE GIRL, revolutionary portrait of adolescent sexuality, OPENS IN NY & LA!

Why 'The Diary Of A Teenage Girl' Is The Most Important Feminist Film Of 2015
"It’s hard to find a film that accurately and truthfully portrays the sexual experiences of a teenage girl – strange considering it’s a subject that concerns half of the world’s population. As such, Californian writer/director Marielle Heller’s astonishing debut film, The Diary Of A Teenage Girl, feels revolutionary in refusing to trivialise its characters’ natural feelings, while also deftly traversing such an emotional and ethical minefield." (Rhian Daly, NME)

You're a "deviant" if you think that Donald Trump's comment was about Megyn Kelly menstruating

The Trump campaign released a statement earlier today, clarifying Donald Trump's earlier comment about Megyn Kelly. In the statement, the Trump campaign calls Megyn Kelly a "mess" and says that the blood coming out of Megyn Kelly's "whatever" was referring to her nose. The statement goes on to call anyone who thought otherwise a "deviant," and ultimately proclaims that Donald Trump won the debate.

LGBT Activists urge Beyoncé "#BeyBeAHERO"

Beyoncé's hometown Houston is close to legalizing discrimination against the LGBT community. With one Instagram post, Beyoncé could help make sure her hometown doesn't repeal protections for the Houston LGBT members. For the past 15 months, Houston has been in a legal battle over the city's Equal Rights Ordinance known as "HERO." The ordinance which was passed by city council in 2014 bans discrimination against LGBT members in employment, housing, public accommodations, etc. Opponents have fought to put HERO on the ballot for repeal this November, and thanks to a Texas Supreme Court Decision, they'll likely succeed.

ONTD's fave will return to Thrones + another "break the internet" scene

That's right, smegma (David Bradley) will return to Game of Thrones as Walder Frey!... at some point. This has of course led to speculation that this might have something to do with LS.

  • David Bradley had this to say on the matter:

“He will be coming back, but I can’t say when, I can’t really say because things are in a delicate situation.”
“I do look forward to it, because I do love playing someone so irredeemable. "I’m afraid he makes me laugh because he’s so appalling that there’s a kind of dark humor in there somewhere.”

  • and in more Game of Thrones news:

An annoymous source has said there will be another "utter shock" in season 6. From the source: “Not only are the dragons going to be massive next season, but viewers are about to learn more about the mysterious creatures from the Lands of Always Winter … I’m sworn to secrecy, but I can assure you, the scenes planned will break the Internet.”

Indie horror movie inspired by Isla Vista killings sparks outrage

An indie horror movie Del Playa, directed by UCSB alumn Shaun Hart, partially based on last year's Isla Vista killings has sparked widespread backlash. The movie seems to feature a protagonist who goes on a killing spree after being rejected by a love interest.

The petition to halt the release of the film states: "The film Del Playa intentionally seeks to commoditize the death of six beloved students, and makes light of the tragedy faced by the entire Isla Vista/UCSB community [...] Releasing such a film merely 18 months after this tragedy recreates the helplessness and horror felt by the Isla Vista community"

Ray Rice on Domestic Violence: ‘I Can Understand Some People Will Never Forgive Me’

Ray Rice is hopeful people will be able to forgive him and that he might be able to play again. He was fired from the Ravens team last season and hasn't played ever since.

"I can understand some people probably never will forgive my actions," he said. "But I think that every step that I took going forward right now -- over time, I want to be able to rewrite the script, to tell my daughter that daddy made the worst decision of his life, but this is what I did going forward.

"To the survivors of domestic violence, I understand how real it is, and I don't want to ever take that for granted because this is a real issue in our society. My video put the light out there -- if you have never seen what domestic violence looks like and you look at my video, I could understand why some people would never forgive me."

Neil Armfield's "Holding the Man" is Australia's Brokeback

Based in the 1970s, Holding The Man revolves around the fifteen year romance between actor, playwright and activist Tim Conigrave and footballer John Caleo who met at Melbourne's Xavier College.

In his first film since the brilliant Candy, Armfield teamed up with writer Tommy Murphy who successfully adapted the memoir to the stage a decade ago that deals with a variety of tumultuous life events including coming out, activism and HIV. In many ways, Armfield feels the story of Holding the Man, is reflected in his own life, connecting with the notion of coming out as gay in the Australian suburbs. Armfield briefly knew Conigrave prior to his passing in 1994 with many mutual friends in the theatre scene, some of them lost to AIDS.

Armfield believes that the story is a universal love story.

Holding the Man stars Ryan Corr, Craig Scott, Anthony LaPaglia and Guy Pearce and opens in Australia on August 27.

-During an interview Chris said he'd be open to working with Zayn because he's his "homeboy" and they're on the same label
-Chris also said he'd want to collab with Zayn because he has a huge fanbase and fans are waiting to hear his music
-Chris also made note that he's not very selective about who he works with because he's on everyone's songs.
-Zayn has yet to comment, though he has shown appreciation for Chris' music in the past. His fans are also very eager for the collaboration to happen.

I think this collab is def going to happen, like Chris said he isn't too selective and it'd be the easiest way to get him some cred.

Who wants a Golden Gaytime?

Sydney man, Jesse McElroy, led a grassroots campaign during the month of July demanding that popular and iconic icey treat on a stick, the Golden Gaytime, be released in a more shareable form. And it appears earlier this month that Streets have acquiesced his request with 1.25 litre tubs of Golden Gaytime ice-cream appearing in supermarket freezers across the country.

There have been rumours that the viral campaign was a marketing ruse by Streets as Mr McElroy has an advertising agency listed as a previous employer on his Facebook page though Streets had denied any link between themselves and Mr McElroy.
