-"Home" is the only feature film DreamWorks released this year after a series of flops lost the studio so much money that they had to laid off 500 of their employees (or 20% of DreamWorks' staff) just this January.
-However, "Home"'s surprise success has ended their financial troubles and all talks of a takeover has been silenced. DreamWorks Animation stocks rises 8% on Monday.
-DreamWorks' plan right now is to turn "Home" into a francise
-Though the movie itself is getting mixed reviews, Rihanna has gotten praise for her performance as Tip. Examples include the review from the NY Times which said "Rihanna gives Tip a likable edge" or the Baltimore Magazine saying "Rihanna has a pleasing and natural voice for animation and she comes across as hip, cute, and friendly."
In this episode, Hayley's longtime stylist Brian does her makeup in an homage to the movie "Ladies and Gentleman, the Fabulous Stains"!!
I was hoping these would be longer but this vid is only 3 minutes? ANYWAY, what's your favorite movie inspired makeup look, ONTD?
-Julianne Moore was hired to star in a promotional video for Turkey's Tourism services titled "Home Of". The commercial was about Moore on an airplane reminiscing about her childhood memories of a trip in Turkey.
-The clip was supposed to air in February of this year however Turkey’s Culture and Tourism Ministry was apparently not impressed with Moore's performance and demanded a reshoot. Moore refused to do the reshoot and the campaign has collapsed.
ONTD have you ever been fired for failing to do the one job you had to?
VH1's original scripted series Hindsight is a veritable smorgasbord of television delights. It has everything: time travel, friendship drama, relationship drama, a killer soundtrack and a heck of a lot of flannel to keep its characters warm in the disillusioned world of 1990s New York City. The follies of its central character, Becca (Laura Ramsey), a 40-year-old woman sent crashing through time on the eve of her second marriage, gets thrust back into the mid-1990s and the morning of her first wedding (that ultimately ends in divorce). And that's only what happens in the first five minutes.
Key highlights from the Hollywood Reporter's interview with creator Emily Fox:
-Fox says that people like to think they're mature; we have a "comprehensive view of our own lives" and what we would do if we had another chance, but this show sets out to illustrate that there is "no 'right' decision, only a different decision."
-Becca's decisions are not without consequence; she can try to make the better decision (lol), but sometimes she just makes it worse by trying
-Show runners were excited about depicting a female friendship reminiscent of the ones in Reality Bites and Thirtysomething; they wanted to show an honest, complex relationship
-Lolly has a compelling and valid claim that everything that happened in the original timeline is valid; Becca denies it out of convienence
-Their plans for season 2 are elaborate, but the Fox won't get into them. The hope is that season two will "explode out of the gate and present you with something completely different." Per the Hollywood Reporter's paraphrase, they are going to explore the space-time continuum

The 24-year-old performer spoke to The Downtowner about the band’s phenomenal success over the past six months (they were named Sound of 2015 by the BBC, and went straight in at number one with recent single ‘King’),how the band was formed and his knack for writing songs about dysfunctional relationships.
“That comes from experience, you know,” says Alexander. “I just have had a lot of dysfunctional relationships. I’ve really gone from one to another to another. I’ve been stuck in a cycle of being addicted to rejection in some fucked up way and always choosing someone who is going to reject me.
“But I’m in a less dysfunctional relationship now(Rumored to be Clean Bandiet's violist Milan Neil Amin-Smith) .I’d say it’s relatively functional.”
When asked if he’s going to come out in a big interview like Sam Smith did last year, Alexander says questions about his sexuality have “only been a thing recently”.
“I’ve done a few interview and been like ‘I’m gay and I’m singing about my boyfriends.’ I guess for a lot of people you need to say something before they’re really accepting of it.”

Things between Blac Chyna and Kylie Jenner could be getting a little intense! It all started on Instagram when Blac Chyna posted a watch that Tyga had given her:

Pop singer Madonna took to Instagram to defend the new music streaming service Tidal that has been blasted online after it was announced yesterday.
Tidal has been criticised for offering a low quality service of 96kbps music for $9.99, forcing the customers to go for the more expensive $19.99 service which is up to 4 times the cost of Spotify.
"Everything will be explained and revealed in time! Have Faith!" Madonna said "And remember nothing is for free! This is a universal LAW. Somewhere-Somehow-Someone has to pay. There is always an exchange. #truth. #tidal"
Madonna also took offense to people comparing the Tidal launch party to an Illuminati gathering.
"If you refer to Tidal as Illuminati, you are paying us the highest of compliments." she wrote "They changed and shaped the world for the better! Do the research and find out for yourself! #knowlwdge is power ❤️ #rebelheart"
Madonna owns 3% equity share in the Tidal company.

EDIT:John Cho is joining the show (as a guest star only unfortunately)
But im afraid they won't be picking up TMP! don't do this fox.
“People are not respecting the music, and devaluing what it really means," Jay Z told Billboard. "People really feel like music is free, but will pay $6 for water. You can drink water free out of the tap and it’s good water. But they’re okay paying for it. It’s just the mindset right now.”
On EDM's DJ's
Over the past few years, according to Brandon, DJ's have reached out hoping that he would be featured in their music on guest vocals. He goes on to say that: “DJs’ names should not be on songs. They don’t write any of their own songs! I'm on the phone with some random guy in Norway who actually wrote the song, talking it through. It’s crazy."
It was rumoured after Calvin Harris had remixed "When You Were Young" for The Killers' compilation album "Direct Hits," the DJ had reached out for a collaboration with Brandon. Calvin however does in fact write his own music ("We Found Love," "I Will Never Let You Down"). So perhaps the issue was having Calvin Harris (feat. Brandon Flowers) on a tracklist that things didn't work out?
On the current state of Rock music:
“When I listen to a rock radio station in Las Vegas, I don’t hear rock ’n’ roll,” he says, shaking his head in frustration. “I don’t even hear fragments of it, and it’s frustrating. I’m not in the most rock ’n’ roll band on the planet, but you can trace what we do to those roots, and I can’t hear it on the radio anymore. And I don’t hear anything that’s good. I’m not being a dick, but I don’t hear anything that’s good. Everyone goes into their living room, fires up their computer, and are just putting stuff out, and they haven’t earned the right to be where they’re at. These kids that make these keyboard records, it drives me nuts! It’s like, ‘Do you hear New Order? Do you hear it? Because yours is not as good as that! Go back and work harder.’ It’s so strange to me, and there’s so much of it.”
On his stage presence:
“You know, it took a long time. I’ve probably done over 1,000 shows now. I just learned to enjoy it more and more, and that’s started to show, and you feel like you’ve earned your place there. There are people who come out onstage and feel like they belong, but it’s taken me a bit longer to get there.”
On his father's converting to Mormonism:
“My dad converted to Mormonism when I was 6, and he smoke and drank. And I saw him turn his life around. It had a big impact on me, so as I got older and was coming of age, I came to that same realization of, ‘I don’t know if I want that in my fridge, and I don’t know if I want that stuff around.’ My dad became a better person when he stopped doing all that stuff, so it was a big lesson for me.”
On quitting drinking and smoking:
"When I stopped smoking and drinking, instantly the shows started getting better. I sang better, I had more longevity, and I felt better. That was about eight years ago. And being committed to my wife and family, I can’t think of a downside to it. There are people in the past who’ve done the sex, drugs, and rock ’n’ roll thing and made it happen for them, but I knew even when I was young that that wasn’t going to work out for me.”
When asked about same-sex marriages under his church:
"Do Catholics perform same-sex marriages? I doubt our church ever will perform them. I doubt it. But I was always taught that everyone on this Earth is my brother and sister, so maybe from an outsider’s perspective it looks worse than it really is, but we don’t teach fire and brimstone.”

Indiana is continuing to feel the heat in response to SB 101, a controversial "religious freedom" bill that critics say is targeted at the LGBT population but whose defenders say is simply about ensuring religious freedom (in the same way that the Civil War was simply about states' rights, lbr):

Some quotes below.
On whether a Beatles reunion would have happened if John and George were still alive:
"With the [technology] you have now, I think we could have got it together. I think the stumbling block was just sitting around and saying, 'OK, let's do it.' And we never got to that. You know, we did in twos, we talked about it. But I think if we had just relaxed behind it long enough, we still had the songs, and we still could play. We could have put it together. And we could have done 'A Day in the Life.' Of course, it's ended now. John and George are gone."
On why he got clean from drugs and alcohol in 1988:
"It gets really lonely, you know. It's just really cold and lonely. It's a miserable disease, in the end. There's a crowd of you, and it's lonely. Because that's all you're doing is getting fucked, you know. But I haven't been that lonely since."
Quote from Paul McCartney about inducting Ringo into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame after realizing their manager was in but not Ringo:
"I said, 'Let me see what I can do.' And I talked to Bruce Springsteen and I talked to Dave Grohl, and they both said he should be in. And I said I'd do the induction. That took care of it."

So, it finally happened. On Sunday 29th, the floodgates were opened and the tea came flowing through as HBO aired its much hyped Scientology documentary, Going Clear. Heartbreaking stories and anecdotes were told as previous senior members of the Church came forward and shared their former life working inside the cult.
Cheesy ass Scientology music videos, the batshittery that was L. Ron Hubbard's life, IRS scandals, the sad sack that is John Travolta, Tom Cruise being a crazy fucking tool, bonus Anderson Cooper and Paul Haggis being a BAMF. All of this was included. Also, I apparently now have a crush on Paul Beghe. Did you watch, ONTD? What were your favourite parts? And the most shocking to you?
Scientology says they don't force people to disconnect from their loved ones when you're declared a “suppressive person”, essentially resulting in families being ripped apart. But The Underground Bunker, a blog run by Tony Ortega dedicated to exposing Scientology has a stunning audio recording which captures the moment when a woman is told she is being declared a “suppressive person” or “SP” by a Scientology ethics officer, and she realizes that it may tear apart her family.
According to the ethics office, some of the "wrongs" this woman has commited include watching videos of Leah Remini online, checking out facebook posts Scientology doesn't approve of (the woman is stunned to learn that Scientology officials have been monitoring her facebook activity) and being seen in photos with people the "church" has declared SP's.
this audio recording is unreal. if you loved the documentary, read the book! it was much scarier.
Man throws a banana at Dave Chappelle because he thought his jokes were 'racist' http://t.co/xi1JYyhTiA— Daily Mail Celebrity (@DailyMailCeleb) March 31, 2015
- A racist nobody was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and battery after throwing a banana peel at Chappelle
- The nobody took offense to Dave calling his friend "Johnny Appleseed"
- The nobody hasn't shown an ounce of remorse. He's quoted saying, "maybe I should have handed you [Chappelle] the banana instead"
- After the nobody was removed, Chappelle told the crowd he wasn't surprised by the actions: "I wish I could be, 'I can't believe this is happening,' but in all honestly, I've been expecting that banana for many years. I just didn't know tonight was going to be the night."
-We all know about the bullshit that he said earlier this year that made everyone scratch their heads and turn against Mackie, but this past weekend he made an appearance at Emerald City Comic Con where he is way more positive than his last fiasco.
-A fan asked at his panel what kind of impact Falcon has on young viewers he replies: "It’s a huge responsibility. I do events like this because so many people become superheroes and celebrities, and they detach themselves from reality. That scares me. When I meet people, when I meet kids, that informs characters I play down the line. I tell kids, when you think something can’t happen, you think you can’t read that well, when certain people didn’t expect anything of you — I was that kid. I was the kid they wanted to put on Ritalin and kick out of school because they thought I was a bad kid.
I think it’s very important that little girls have representation. That’s why I love Scarlett Johansson so much. That’s why I’m so excited they’re introducing all these female characters into the universe. That’s important. It’s to give everybody a little bit. The funny thing about movies is, growing up, I said, ‘Man, I wanted to be Superman.’ But this past Halloween, my son said he wanted to be Captain America."
-He also goes on to talk about an experience he had with a parent whose kid wanted to be Falcon for Halloween but didn't: “‘because, y’know.’” “I’m like, ‘No, I don’t know. What, you couldn’t find a costume?’ ‘No, you’re Black.’” That is the problem. We always talk about representation, but I never understood representation until that conversation. It is important to look at the screen and see you.”
-He was also roommates with Lee Pace when they were both at Juilliard

- Zayn broke the news to the boys via text message so that none of them could talk him out of it (This detail is a bit suspect tbh "a friend told heat magazine")
Tara Reid met this guy on a plane, had a few drinks with him, then joined him at a tattoo parlor later so he could have her name tattooed on his arm. The paparazzi were also at the tattoo parlor and one of those weirdos asked Tara to kiss this guy's new tattoo. Gross!
"I met her on the fucking plane and got shitfaced on the plane... We had a great time," the man explains.
When the paparazzi ask him if he'll regret this tattoo in the long run, he immediately replies, "No! Do I look like a guy who regrets things?"
Anyone else still watching? It's still just as ridiculous but it's starting to feel more cohesive at least
