“The girls are now graduating seniors. They’re coming to the end of their time as Bellas and figuring out how to sort of leave the nest and the comfort of each other’s friendship and figure out what they’re going to do with the rest of their lives.” —Elizabeth Banks, director.

Stephen Hawking Gives His Opinion On "Theory Of Everything" Film

The Theory Of Everything is a new film that chronicles Stephen Hawking (played by Eddie Redmayne) and then wife Jane Wilde (Felicity Jones) and their life, love and struggles. Stephen Hawking was recently asked what he thought of the film and his response is below:

I thought Eddie Redmayne portrayed me very well in The Theory of Everything Movie. He spent time with ALS sufferers so he could be authentic. At times, I thought he was me.

Seeing the film has given me the opportunity to reflect on my life. Although I’m severely disabled, I have been successful in my scientific work. I travel widely and have been to Antarctica and Easter Island, down in a submarine and up on a zero gravity flight. One day I hope to go into space.

I’ve been privileged to gain some understanding of the way the universe operates through my work. But it would be an empty universe indeed without the people that I love. -SH

Just an excuse to post about the movie, one of the better films I saw of the year. It currently has a high score on Rotten Tomatoes. Rosamund Pike and Felicity Jones better get some awards next year.

The late María del Rosario Fitz-James Stuart y de Silva was the third woman to ever hold the Alba title in her own right.

In 2008 she married her third husband, who was 25 years her junior. She's survived by him as well as six children and multiple grand- and great-grandchildren.

Morrissey storms off Warsaw stage

Fans of a one frustrated bitter man (yet much loved!) = Morrissey want their money back after the singer stormed off a Warsaw club stage just 25 minutes into the concert, after merely performing 6 songs (last one with his back to the audience).

Mozz got really angry after being heckled by a member of the crowd. Here is a statement from the event organiser Live Nation:
''One of the spectators standing close to the stage said some extremely offensive and chauvinistic things to the artist.''

Although most fans could not hear what was said, they sensed that something was awry when the singer turned his back on them for the entirety of what turned out to be the last song.

(I was there and here is what happened:
Morrissey said to the audience 'Do you mind if I tell you something!?' Everyone was like 'no!'
One person shouted 'just tell us' and possibly something about Old Trafford. At that point Morrissey said 'that's not very nice!", got pissed off, performed the next song with his back to the audience and walked off the stage.)

Merciful Live Nation has offered frustrated fans the opportunity to go to his concert in Krakow this Friday free of charge. (Krakow is almost 300 km from Warsaw and Mozza's concerts start ridiculously early - 7.30PM on the weekday)

There is no word on the refunds yet.

OK, I love this old diva but that was too much. Why punish 2000+ people for something some idiot said?

Broadcast networks opt out of Obama immigration speech -- except for Univision and Fox.

Unlike almost every other presidential address, the major networks won't be airing President Obama's speech on immigration tonight.

Basically the White House asked ABC, CBS, and NBC "Hey- if we asked you to broadcast the speech, would you say yes?"

The networks said no, and the the White House was all, "Ok, we're not gonna ask you then so we won't look like losers who got turned down."

His memoir he will talk about:

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner attend Save the Children gala event

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner made a rare joint appearance at New York's Plaza Hotel on Wednesday night for Save the Children's annual Illumination Gala.

Garner, who joined Save the Children's board of trustees in March, hosted the event. She has been an ambassador for the charity for many years, advocating to improve early education for children living in rural poverty in the US.

Affleck was presented with The Global Child Advocate Award for promoting maternal and child health in the Democratic Republic of Congo, one of the world’s poorest and most war-torn countries. Through the Eastern Congo Initiative, which Affleck founded in 2009, community-based health organizations in nine rural areas have provided access to quality health services and preventative care for more than 23,000 women and 18,000 children.

The Eastern Congo Initiative makes grants and offers capacity-building support to local organizations involved with supporting survivors of rape and sexual violence, reintegrating child soldiers into their communities, promoting economic opportunity, increasing access to health care and education, and promoting community-level peace and reconciliation.

Affleck previously remarked: "We support the work being done by highly capable and determined Congolese, to make their communities a better place ... Westerners are not and will never be the 'saviors' of Africa. That idea has been tried and found wanting. It is ineffectual at best and deadly at worst."

The date night for the couple was a glam switch-up of their normal routine. "Well, we're boring parents, so we just play with the girls," Garner told Us Weekly. "I'll usually cook a meal for everyone and help them with homework, that's usually our date night. He's being an amazing husband and supporting me by coming out to my charity."

Affleck gushed over his wife in return. "My wife is an amazing and strong woman," Affleck told Us. "I'm so happy to be here supporting the work that she does."

Perennial Asshole Jamie Oliver Admits to Tricking 12 y.o. Daughter into Eating Hot Pepper

The Daily Mail are reporting that Jamie Oliver went on a chat show and said he has to resort to creative punishments since it's "not very popular beating kids any more, it’s not very fashionable and you are not allowed to do it and if you are a celebrity chef like me it does not look very good in the paper." He shared this charming anecdote.

Poppy was quite disrespectful and rude to me and she pushed her luck. In my day I would have got a bit of a telling-off but you are not allowed to do that.

‘Five minutes later she thought I had forgotten and I hadn’t. She asked for an apple. I cut it up into several pieces and rubbed it with Scotch Bonnet and it worked a treat. She ran up to mum and said, “This is peppery”. I was in the corner laughing. [Jools] said to me, “Don’t you ever do that again”.’

The Daily Mail spoke w/ Victoria's who called him a "dickhead," "cruel," and that his ass would be fired if he worked for them. They also note that the scotch bonnet has a heat rating of 100,000-350,000 on Scoville scale, and it's 140 times hotter than the average pepper.

Britney's new BF "laughed her into bed"

“Britney fell hook, line and sinker when they first met,” an ~insider revealed to OK! Magazine “He’s a real charmer and totally made a play for her.”

“Charlie has one of the funniest senses of humors in Hollywood,” “He should be a stand-up comic. He’s incredibly witty and is full of hilarious one-liners.”

Charlie's humor is what won both Britney and her family over - even famous cheese grits chef Jamie approves. Among his qualities is that Charlie "does well financially" on his own so Britney's family doesn't have to worry whether or not he is using her for his personal gain. They also respect that he keeps his personal life private while he is also "driven, smart and ambitious".

'Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark' movie gets new screenwriter and is definitely happening

You might have heard rumors of a film adaptation of 90s kid nightmare fuel Scary Stories To Tell In The Dark being in the works.
Originally the team behind The Collector, Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan, were going to be writing the script. Now the project is moving forward and CNN and Deadline currently report that producers are heading in a new direction and have hired John August to complete the script.

While there's no confirmation if the movie will be an anthology or follow the lead of the upcoming Goosebumps film where the author is actually a character, August (whose credits include Big Fish and Frankenweenie) has said that while it is being adapted from children's books the finished film "won't exactly be kid-friendly".

According to CNN, August recently said on his podcast, "While this book is for children, the horror movie that we're making out of it I think hopefully captures how scary those books were when you were a kid but is not strictly a kids movie. In fact, you should not take certain younger kids for this movie. I can't actually take the art into the house, because if my daughter saw it, we would have nightmares."

Glenn Beck Determined to Prove He Is 1000x Worse Than Don Lemon; Says Media "Raped" Cosby

Yesterday, the AP released this clip where Cosby looked like an asshole and once again refused to respond to questions about rape allegations.

Glenn Beck then went on his irrelevant radio show and had this to say:

I can't even. My fave part of this clip is that he follows up that bonkers statement with, "My gosh, maybe we should have a lesson on rape." Yes let's, because it's apparent Glenn Beck is completely unlearned in the topic of rape.

I'm too lazy to look rn, but I'm pretty sure Rush Limbaugh defended Cosby too.

Questionable Director sometimes makes unquestionable choices...

Summary (not really, but let's just pretend it is): Someone interviewed Morgan Spurlock, which like, why even? What lameness is he promoting now anyway?
I know these are important questions for some, but that's not what matters here. What matters is that despite making poor editting edditing editing choices and making (generally) crappy films, he still makes some good ones (choices I mean!) when put on the spot. Here he has to choose between Liam and Harry...and he comes through for the win in the best way possible. Sophie's Choice neatly averted!

Mia Wasikowska had fun playing a psychopath in Maps to the Stars

Mia Wasikowska's sublime performance in Tracks will unfortunately be going ignored this Oscar season, with Harvey Weinstein blaming sluggish box office receipts. It's certainly not because his handling of the film was a disaster from the start and he chickened out of the prospect of competing with Wild.

In this new interview, Mia talks with the Sydney Morning Herald about her "psychopath" role of Julianne Moore's assistant in Maps to the Stars and the vagaries of working in Hollywood.

ONTD Original: 5 reasons why you should binge-watch The Knick + BTS of the show

The Knick concluded its ten-episode first season a month ago, and seeing as news is pretty scarce since filming won't begin until next year, I figured I'd make a post to convince some of you to give this show a shot this fine holiday season. It doesn't make for great family viewing, so you'll have the perfect excuse for avoiding all of your annoying family members.

And now, in no particular order, five reasons why ONTD should hop on The Knick bandwagon (there's plenty of room):

Algernon Edwards, as played by Andre Holland, is amazing

Dr. Algernon Edwards is recruited by the illustrious Robertson family to join The Knickerbocker Hospital as Deputy Chief of Surgery after the position unexpectedly opens up. He is well-educated, passionate, forthright, and inventive. A man ahead of his time, but held back because society sucks. He is rich and complex, seeking out violence as his only outlet for control in his life. He also gives wonderful side-eye. Andre Holland is perfect in the role, and as I have said in the past, should be one of our ONTD boyfriends.

On a shallow note, look at how handsome he is:

A behind-the-scenes look at The Knick hosted by Dr. Stanley Burns

The event was held at The National Arts Club and was hosted by Dr. Stanley Burns, head of the Burns Archive and the show's official historical and medical consultant. For an hour, guests were treated to a behind-the-scenes presentation about all the painstaking work the cast and crew put into making the show such a success. The talk was relatively spoiler-free since not everyone in the audience had seen the show, but there was still a lot he was able to share. Unfortunately, but understandably, no photos were allowed. Dr. Burns was, however, able to share plenty of details about working on the show:

- He showed a bunch of pictures of the cast at the "medical school" he had set up for them to learn how to properly suture and make all the doctor-y stuff look as natural and authentic as possible. I wish these photos would be released because there were some really cute ones. Eric Johnson (Dr. Everett Gallinger) was particularly proud of his suture work and took a sample home to show his wife.

Iggy responds to fan about working with Nicki

For reference

"But while she was feeling laid-back a few moments ago, she certainly doesn't appear that way now, as an innocent question about Iggy Azalea -- Minaj's foremost rival ever since "Fancy" made Azalea the summer's most -ubiquitous female rapper -- hangs in the air. Minaj's answer? A withering, wordless stare."

"Still, when an Azalea song comes over the studio's stereo, a member of Minaj's team quickly shuts it off."
