The Latin heartthrob came out in May by posting a note to his Twitter account. “The day has come!” wrote the Uruguayan actor/model. “Only God knows when and how. I only let myself be guided. I feel that God has awarded me with homosexuality.”

3. His Music Video Take Me To Church Kicked Off His Success
Rolling Stone reports on how Hozier’s popularity kicked off:
It all started in September of 2013, when he released the video for “Take Me to Church,” a dark, bluesy EP track that would also lead his album. The clip, which debuted during the furor over Russia’s anti-gay legislation last fall, depicts a gay couple who are pursued and eventually brutalized by an angry mob. After getting posted to Reddit, he watched as the video’s view count ticked up.

Also, he's really, really tall, and he looks like he looks.
Oh yeah, and his voice and album are fantastic.
During interviews she revealed that she will be filming a new music video for her new single in the coming weeks!

We know you’re dying to get deeper inside Nick Jonas(mhmmmm)’ character in the new DirecTV drama Kingdom, so here’s a special behind-the-scenes feature in which Nick talks about prepping for his debut lead acting role (because we’re not counting Camp Rock).
In Kingdom, Nick plays a young up-and-coming MMA fighter. He’s previously teased the character as being potentially gay, definitely nude, and having some sort of sexual identity crisis, a process that will more than likely involve some steamy gay sex scenes.

UMass guard Derrick Gordon told ESPN that he would have quit basketball if he did not come out publicly as gay last April.
The 6-foot-2 junior, who averaged 9.4 points last season for a UMass team that lost to Tennessee in the NCAA tournament, said he was beyond miserable and was on the verge of quitting the sport.
"I was coming out or giving up basketball," Gordon told ESPN on Wednesday. "It was breaking me down."
Gordon said he had lived with the secret since when he entered college at Western Kentucky. He transferred to UMass after his freshman season and rarely -- if ever -- hung around his teammates.
"My secret," Gordon said in explaining why he was a loner in college. "I didn't want to be put in a situation where they found out."

ratchet entertaining couple, Stevie J and Joseline Hernandez, are expecting a baby. In an interview with V100.7's Reggie Brown in Milwaukee, “Steebie” broke the news after being probed about the authenticity of he and Joseline’s marriage.
“Yeah it’s all real,” he said. “We got a new addition with the family too, but I don’t want to say too much, you know? We’re extending the Jordan family if you understand what I mean.”
Upon’s Brown’s reiterating of the fact that Joseline is indeed pregnant, Stevie repeated that they were extending their family and accepted the deejay’s congratulations. The two also discussed lingering rumors that Joseline had been less-than-faithful to Stevie in recent months, a claim Stevie shot down.
“They talked about Jesus, man. So who are we,” he said. “At the end of the say, when they see a real powerful, strong element in our black culture, they always try to break you down. But one thing’s for certain: the Jordans are here to stay.”
This should make for an interesting plot on the couple’s upcoming reality spin-off. Listen to Stevie J’s big announcement

A while ago we wrote an epic ten part list of our 100 favourite graphic novels. We liked it and the feedback we got was very positive. I though we’d do video games but fortunately we have writers who have great ideas, and we loved Jes’ suggestion that we could look at the 100 greatest female characters in pop culture. We went with that idea! Before we unleash the first of five parts of this epic list, we’ll outline the criteria we settled on. The characters had to be female and be a part of modern pop culture. We decided not to include books in the process because that could produce a Top 100 list on its own. Our nominees come from comics, film, television and video games. We chose not to rank these characters from best to worst, instead celebrating each as an individual role. Our list of nominees was MASSIVE and we made some tough cuts, so we tried not to include to many from any one franchise. We hope you enjoy our selections and give us feedback in the comments. We’d love to hear about the characters we haven’t had room for! Remember…they’ll be another 20 in the next instalment.
*These are no in particular order and this is only part 1 of 5 so plenty of ladies are on their way.
Bang bang! Jessie J is shooting down prevalent rumors that Ariana Grande is a huge diva. The songstress told Us Weekly at the William Rast debut at Lord & Taylor in New York City on Wednesday, Oct. 9, that Grande isn't a diva in the slightest. Instead, Grande just knows "what she wants," Jessie says.
Grande, who collaborated with Jessie J and Nicki Minaj on the track "Bang Bang," has made headlines recently, with claims that she's a disaster to work with and high-maintenance, but Jessie J tells Us it's a misunderstanding that she herself is all too familiar with.
"I always say, judge a person when you meet them," Jessie told Us when asked about the rumors. "I’ve met Ariana, and there’s a very thin line between 'diva' and 'survival.' And a lot of people can’t [differentiate that] -- and I’ve had that," she said. "I've had the diva stuff. And it’s when people can’t cope with how passionate you are, and how much you care," the "Price Tag" singer explained.
"She's super talented, she's very young, and she's very sure of what she wants," Jessie J added of Grande. "I think she’s wonderful. She’s great."

“The real shame is that there haven’t been more filmmakers of color that have had Spike’s success and were also artistic, sophisticated, and stylish,” Simien says. “I don’t think I’m the next Spike Lee — I have different things on my mind, and I don’t necessarily have his sensibility. But I’m more than happy to walk through the door that he opened, because too few people have.”
Simien’s film — his debut feature — is tremendously topical, examining every nuance of the Miley-esque appropriation of black cultural hallmarks, while, on the flip side, exploring the tricky militancy of someone like Lee, whose rants against gentrification can be read as anti-progress. It’s both impressive and disappointing, then, that Dear White People, which is set on a college campus that serves as a Petri dish of swirling, articulate ideas, began its journey a whopping eight years ago, when Simien, a Houston native, was still a student at Chapman University in Orange, Calif. “That’s where the first draft [of the script] started to percolate,” Simien says. It’s also where Simien began to get a true taste of what it’s like to be a black gay man in America.

Underage girls of ONTD, have we got a treat for you!! The man of your dreams is starring in his own colouring book.
That’s right, Colour Me Good artist Mel Elliott – who previously brought the world a similar effort featuring Benedict Cumberbatch – have now dedicated an entire tome to the actor and filmmaker.
And as with the Cumberbatch book it puts Franco into a series of odd situations just waiting to be livened up with a spot of colour.

“The Flash” is bringing in a new villain for Barry Allen to battle, introducing the first openly gay character on the show in the process.
“Smash” alum Andy Mientus has been cast to play Hartley Rathaway, the DC villain who also goes by Pied Piper, a network representative tells TheWrap.
Rathaway was left hearing-impaired by the same S.T.A.R. Labs particle accelerator that gave Barry (Grant Gustin) super speed. But being a genius in science, he creates a catalogue of sonic weapons to punish his former mentor Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) — by taking on his new protege, The Flash.
Mientus’ Pied Piper will appear in the eleventh and twelfth episodes of “The Flash's” first season. His casting comes on the heels of the series bringing on board “Alias” alum Victor Garber to play the other half of the Justice League duo known as Firestorm.
Haven't seen him in anything, but the casting so far has been on point, so I'm not worried. I'm also gonna need a 'Flash' icon, if someone with more skills than me gets inspired.

Imagine you're a college graduate stuck in a perpetually lousy economy. That's a problem Japanese twenty-somethings have faced for more than 20 years. Two decades of stagnation after the collapse of the 1980s real-estate and stock bubbles — combined with labor laws making it tough to fire older workers — have relegated vast numbers of Japanese young adults to low-paying, temporary contract jobs. Many find themselves living with their parents well into their twenties and beyond, unmarried and childless.
Then again, they do have plenty of time to dress up like wand-wielding sailor girls and cybernetic alchemist soldiers from the colorful world of anime cartoons and manga comics. Indeed, Japan's Lost Decades have coincided with a major spike in "people escaping to virtual worlds of games, animation, and costume play," Masahiro Yamada, a sociology professor at Chuo University in Tokyo, recently told the Financial Times. "Here, even the young and poor can feel as though they are a hero."

After stalling at the box office, The Mortal Instruments is coming back. As a television series.
Constantin Film, the production company that controls the rights to Cassandra Clare's best-selling YA fantasy franchise and which produced The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones film, is relaunching Mortal Instruments as a high-end drama series.
Constantin has hired Ed Decter, whose writer-producer credits include Helix, Unforgettable, In Plain Sight and The Client List, as the showrunner for the Mortal Instruments series. The project is currently in development, with Constantin planning to begin production next year. No broadcast partners are yet attached to the series.
Constantin had originally planned to turn Clare's fantasy series into a feature film franchise but shelved that idea after the first Mortal Instruments film, starring Lily Collins and Jamie Campbell Bower, tanked at the box office, earning just $31 million domestically. Constantin, however, insisted it had not abandoned the franchise and planned to return to Mortal Instruments.

I share real intimacy. It's not personal, nor is it an insult to your kindness or your deeply appreciated fondness for little ol' me.— Sarah Paulson (@MsSarahPaulson) October 2, 2014
So, no, I won't tell you I love you, cause I don't know you. But I do LOVE that you have passion for the show and for me as a performer.— Sarah Paulson (@MsSarahPaulson) October 2, 2014
