Orlando Bloom cosies up to 20-year-old Lykke Glommen in Ibiza following Justin Bieber bar brawl

He hit the headlines for throwing a punch at Justin Bieber last week, in a fight thought to be sparked over his estranged wife Miranda Kerr.

But Orlando Bloom was clearly determined to prove he's moved on from the Australian supermodel as he was pictured partying with 20-year-old Swedish beauty Lykke Glommen in Ibiza just days after the incident.

The Pirates Of The Caribbean actor was seen getting up, close and personal with the striking blonde on Sunday, laughing and dancing together until the early hours on the small island of Formentera.

Lays 2014 Do Us A Flavor Finalists aka Just Because You Can Doesn’t Mean You Should

Lays launched the “Do Us a Flavor” campaign in 2012 to celebrate their 75th anniversary. Fans were asked to send in their dream ideas for a chip flavor and the three finalists went into production for a limited time before a winner was declared. Last year’s finalists included Sriracha, Chicken and Waffles, and the eventual — and much-debated — victor, Cheesy Garlic Bread.

This year’s follow-up competition has been expanded to four limited-edition, fan-developed favors: Cappuccino, Mango Salsa, Wasabi Ginger, and Cheddar Bacon Mac & Cheese. The four finalists are available for purchase through October 18 and Lays encourages testers to vote for their favorite on at, where you can also read the riveting stories behind each flavor’s inspiration. (Spoiler: It’s not that riveting.)

We never say “no” to quirky snack foods at, so we decided to pop open a few bags and give them a try. Below are our thoughts.

‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ Pushes Disney to More Than $1 Billion Domestically

“Guardians of the Galaxy” pushed Walt Disney Studios over the $1 billion mark domestically this week.

Overseas, Disney’s $4 billion purchase of Marvel has continued to reap dividends, with the film arm hitting $2 billion in international ticket sales. The results mean that Disney has now surpassed Warner Bros. as the second-highest studio in terms of market share. It trails only 20th Century Fox, which is having a year for its record books with “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” “The Fault in Our Stars” and “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.”

Since opening last weekend, “Guardians” has racked up $219.3 million globally. Other Disney hits include “Captain America: The Winter Solder” ($713.6 million worldwide) and “Maleficent” ($727.9 million worldwide).

This is the ninth consecutive year that Disney has crossed $1 billion domestically and the fifth year in a row it has passed $2 billion. Disney said it’s the fastest it has reached those numbers.

The studio managed to hit these lofty heights without a release from one of its best-performing brands, Pixar. “The Good Dinosaur” was originally slated to debut this summer, but production delays prompted Pixar to push it back into 2015. Another animated hit picked up the slack. Disney’s “Frozen” was released in the winter of 2013, but earned a big chunk of its $1.27 billion worldwide haul this year.

Anne Rice’s ‘Vampire Chronicles’ Takes Flight at Universal

Setting up a potential “Twilight”-like franchise, Universal Pictures has acquired movie rights to Anne Rice’s novels in “The Vampire Chronicles” series for Brian Grazer and Imagine Entertainment.

Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci are on board to produce.

The deal — announced Thursday — includes the adapted screenplay for “Tale of the Body Thief” written by Rice’s son, author Christopher Rice. Other novels in the series include “Interview with the Vampire” and the upcoming “Prince Lestat.”

Anger Over Sexualized 50th Anniversary Cover of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory

A new cover for Roald Dahl’s beloved children’s book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory was last night branded ‘creepy’ by critics.

The Penguin Modern Classics edition - aimed at the adult market - is being released to mark the book’s 50th anniversary.

But its cover, featuring a photograph of a heavily made up young girl wearing a feather boa and sitting on her mother’s knee with a doll-like expression, sparked an immediate backlash.

LeAnn Rimes & Nicole Richie shows BOMBING for VH-1!

It is not a bad time to be VH1. Thanks to reality franchises Love & Hip Hop and Basketball Wives, the Viacom network is up 20 percent in primetime among adults 18-49 in 2014 — the biggest rise among the top 25 basic cable nets. But three lackluster launches in July (LeAnn & Eddie, Candidly Nicole and Dating Naked) illustrate that VH1 faces an uphill battle to extend the success of shows starring African-Americans (and with primarily black viewers) to those starring white celebrities.

"The goal is to bring a general market audience back into the fold in addition to servicing our African-American audience," originals exec vp Susan Levison said earlier in 2014. That includes plans to broaden the network, continuing to focus on pop culture, music and nostalgia.Of the latest crop, Dating Naked has been the only show to find a reasonable audience, averaging 758,000 viewers over the first few episodes. And, in fairness, most reality series don't rocket out of the gate. Love & Hip Hop dipped as low as 680,000 viewers during its first season. Still, the dismal debut of LeAnn Rimes' docuseries (see below) does not bode particularly well for the similar September entry I Heart Nick Carter.

Did Alberto del Rio get fired for slapping a racist?

Details are still sketchy regarding Thursday's firing of Al Rodriguez (Alberto Del Rio) by WWE.

The story going around is that he slapped a a Social Media manager, at this week's television, but there are a variety of different stories going around regarding what led to this.

Based on sketchy stories and what wrestlers have been talking about, at catering, somebody asked the person to clean off his plate. The person joked something along the lines of how that's Del Rio's job. Del Rio found out and confronted him. As the story goes, he didn't apologize and then smiled at him, and Del Rio slapped him.

The belief is he will have a 90 day non-compete, which is likely to apply to TNA and AAA, both of which have interest in him. AAA would certainly be interested in him for the company's U.S. expansion.

Lifetime Prepping Marilyn Monroe Miniseries

The female-skewing cable network is developing Marilyn, a miniseries based on J. Randy Taraborrelli's book The Secret Life of Marilyn Monroe, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

24 and The Kennedys' Stephen Kronish is on board to pen the mini, with Sherrybaby's Laurie Collyer attached to direct the Marilyn Monroe entry. The entry hails from Asylum Entertainment, the production company behind Lifetime's June Carter Cash biopic Ring of Fire as well as Reelz Channel's ratings hit The Kennedys.

Asylum's Jonathan Koch and Steven Michaels will exec produce alongside Kronish and Keri Selig. Selig was attached to exec produce Reelz's Kennedys follow-up, After Camelot, which, like Marilyn, was based on a book by Taraborrelli.

Taraborrelli's book is considered the most definitive Monroe biography. Published in 2010, the title explored the actress/pin-up girl's relationship with her mentally ill mother, her foster mother and her legal guardian as well as Monroe's own mental illness and her relationships with her family and the Kennedys.

The project comes 52 years after Monroe's death and as Jessica Chastain is circling a role as the bombshell in New Regency's 2015 feature Blonde. Michelle Williams also earned an Oscar nomination for her portrayal of Monroe in 2011's My Week With Marilyn. Charlotte Sullivan also portrayed Monroe in Reelz's The Kennedys. NBC's Smash also featured a play within the series based on Monroe's troubled life.

For Lifetime, the mini comes as the cabler has been exploring the lives of some of pop culture's biggest names, including Aaliyah, Whitney Houston, Elizabeth Taylor and Olympian Gabby Douglas, among others.

Kronish is repped by Gersh; Collyer is with Resolution, Principato-Young and Schreck Rose.

Pajiba reviews Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: "It's a sloppy, unholy mess"

If You Get Drunk and Mock One Movie With Your Asshole Friends This Year, Make It 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles'

Let me preface this review by saying I was not expecting Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to be good. It wasn’t like The Amazing Spider-Man, where there are great casting choices at play and you know it could be worth your time and money, only it wasn’t. I was angry watching The Amazing Spider-Man. I was not angry at Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Instead, I was staring at the screen in complete and utter shock. It’s almost impressive how bad this movie manages to be.

What’s wrong with it? Where to start? What it all boils down to is this—Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has no idea what it is or who it’s for. The original premise of the turtles mythos, the one you’re probably familiar with from the cartoon or the ’90s movies, is fairly simple: Turtles get oozed. Turtles are raised and taught martial arts by a rat named Splinter, whose own master was killed by Shredder. Shit happens. I don’t need anything more complicated than that—it’s a movie about ninja turtles, for Chrissakes. I don’t need story complexity. I need charming, goofy fun.

Eli Roth’s ‘The Green Inferno’ Pulled From September 5th Release Date

It sounds as if The Green Inferno literally just entered hell, and that sucks for fans of Eli Roth.

Deadline is reporting that Green Inferno, the Roth-directed film about student activists who travel from Gotham to save the Amazon rainforest only to be pursued by a cannibal tribe, has been taken off Open Road’s release calendar. The film was scheduled for wide release on September 5.

They write that this happened because financier Worldview Entertainment is balking at ex-CEO Christopher Woodrow’s commitment to provide the P&A.

They have also confirmed from Open Road that the release date is scratched, though the distributor won’t comment further, including whether there will be a later release date or if this goes straight to video. Worldview has been going through a restructure since the abrupt and largely unexplained exit of CEO Woodrow, which Deadline revealed last June.

Add the writer, it looks like the scrapping of Green Inferno from Open Road’s fall schedule has little to do with the quality of the film Roth directed, co-wrote and produced.

Worldview doesn’t intend to leave Roth high and dry, they add, and behind the scenes talks are going on to try and figure this out.

Green Inferno was acquired by Open Road after it premiered in the Midnight Madness program at 2013 Toronto City to raucous response.

My local cineplex has been promoting the hell out of this film lmao. They've attached this and the As Above, So Below trailers to every R-rated showing and the few times that I've seen the trailer for this I thought it looked good. 2014 is the worst year for mainstream horror in quite some time and removing this film from the schedule only makes that more true. Thoughts? Were you looking forward to this?

Queen Marion Cotillard attends the London Premiere of 'Two Days One Night'

Oscar-winning actress Marion Cotillard says she would insist on going beyond 80 takes on her new film Two Days, One Night. The Inception star joined director brothers Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne for the premiere of the movie at London's Somerset House. Cotillard stars as Sandra, a married mother-of-two with depression, who has just two days to convince her colleagues to give up their annual bonuses for her to be able to keep her job.

The Dardenne brothers insisted on doing multiple takes, of sequences sometimes over ten minutes long, and if a mistake was made at the end Cotillard would have to start from the beginning again. She said: "It was never under forty takes, it was pretty much around forty, fifty takes. They give you an energy, I mean I was never tired, even when we had done like ninety takes, and even sometimes I asked for more."

'Juggalos' Tried to Cut Off Man's Arm, Police Say

Two men face charges including attempted murder after officials say they attacked a housemate and tried to forcibly remove a tattoo from his arm. Wicomico County Sheriff Mike Lewis said Wednesday that the 31-year-old victim of Monday's attack had his right arm amputated below the elbow and is in critical condition.

Investigators say 33-year-old Paul Martin Hurst of Hebron and 35-year-old Carey Lee Edwards of Williamsburg, Virginia, savagely beat the victim, then tried to carve and burn a tattoo from his arm. A judge has ordered them held without bond.

Lewis says all three men are affiliated with the Juggalos, a fan base of the rap-metal duo Insane Clown Posse that the FBI has described as ganglike. Lewis says the suspects thought the victim disrespected the group and didn't deserve the tattoo.

Lonely Island Teams With Judd Apatow For Music World Set Feature Film

I can see the trailers and posters now: from the guys who brought you "Jizz In My Pants," "I Just Had Sex," "Jack Sparrow," "Motherlover," "I'm On A Boat" and "Lazy Sunday." And you know what? I'll be the first one in line for whatever they have cooking up.

The Lonely Island — the music/digital short/movie team of Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone — are teaming up with producer Judd Apatow for a musical world set comedy film at Universal. That's about all the plot details there are, but Schaffer and Taccone will co-direct this mystery project, with both guys more than comfortable behind the camera.

It won't be the trio's first time teaming up to make a movie. As cult comedy enthusiasts already know, they delivered the ridiculous "Hot Rod" in 2007, which while certainly not perfect, had more than a few worthwhile moments of hilarity. And since then, they've only refined their comic edge without losing the spirit of surreality and WTF-ness that broke them out in the first place, so yes, this has some definite potential.

MAC Cosmetics X Brooke Shields Collection

She's been in show business since before she could crawl and no stranger to controversy (remember, nothing came between her and her Calvins at the age of 15), but don’t make the mistake of pigeonholing Brooke Shields.

The Princeton-educated model, actress and author is about to add another skill to her wheelhouse: makeup creator, in collaboration with MAC Cosmetics.

Shields called the deal “serendipitous.”

“There’s this little place I go to get coffee after I drop my kids [daughters Rowan, 11, and Grier, 8] off for school and after a yoga or spin class, where I think no one will see me without makeup,” she said with a laugh. “Of course, who do I run into but James [Gager, MAC’s senior vice president and creative director], Mr. MAC? After we talked a few times, he approached me about the next Icon line and asked if I would consider designing it with them.”

I am grateful to learn from their mistakes, because I am not injecting s—t into my face.”Not to mention, her future husband, Justin Theroux, does not approve.

“I also have a fiancé; who will put a gun to my head if I touch my face in any way,” she added. While her outlook on aging is positive, she reveals she can feel self-conscious about her weight.“These days, if I was being super picky, I would love to drop 5 pounds. That is just where I have always been really comfortable at about 110 to 113 pounds. But it is harder at this age,” she admitted.

Kate Upton co-hosts Kelly and Michael, talks Justin Verlander and no longer being a Yankees fan

The New York Yankees apparently don’t take kindly to Kate Upton “sleeping with the enemy.”

The supermodel filled in for Kelly Ripa on “Live! with Kelly and Michael” this morning and talked with co-host and former NFL defensive end Michael Strahan on a number of topics, including why exactly she was in New York this week.

This week’s 4-game series between the Yankees and Detroit Tigers had something to do with that, she confirmed.

“I used to be a really big Yankees fan,” Upton told Strahan, before continuing: “But I’m sleeping with the enemy.”

In case you’ve been living under a rock somewhere, she’s referring to right-hander Justin Verlander.

“Do tell,” Strahan responded amid laughter from the audience and Upton.

“My boyfriend plays for the Tigers,” Upton said. “I had to pick a side. And I felt it too, when I walked in. The Yankees told me, ‘You’re not allowed to wear a Tigers hat. You’re not allowed to wear any Tigers gear.’ It’s like a bad breakup.”

Female-Fronted Hollywood Remakes We’d Like to See

The calls have been heard loud and clear, both on stage and off at the Oscars or in the annals of the web and at the box office: the world demands more movies with women, about women, by women and for women.

Every week a movie seems to be failing the Bechdel test, and every week a separate movie ends up walking away with the lion’s share at the box office. From hits like Maleficent, The Fault in Our Stars andLucy to monster franchises like The Hunger Games, the old notion that teenage boys are the ones driving the demand at the movies is rapidly eroding. The Hollywood Reporter pointed out that Marvel’sGuardians of the Galaxy opened to a 44 percent female audience on the film’s opening weekend, the highest share for any Marvel movie to date.

And although they’ve taken their sweet time, Hollywood is finally responding in the only way they know how: churning out a bunch of remakes, reboots, spinoffs and sequels with a massive price tag attached.

Case in point, Sony is in talks with Paul Feig (Bridesmaids) to reimagine Ghostbusters with a female cast. Marvel is about to greenlight a Black Widow movie starring Scarlett Johansson just as she’s hit the hottest moment of her career. And Sylvester Stallone wants to make an Expendabelles movie starring an ass-kicking, chain smoking Sigourney Weaver.

While we’d love for Hollywood to start coming up with some original ideas with women taking the center stage, we wouldn’t put it past them to rehash every remotely successful franchise, blockbuster or cult movie ever made with a leading lady. So in that spirit, we at Sound on Sight decided to help the studios out with a list of female-fronted remakes we’d love to see, everything from the perfectly plausible to the downright ridiculous reboot no one asked for but will get made anyway.

Indio Downey, Charged With One Count of Felony and Misdemeanor

Indio Downey, son of actor Robert Downey Jr., has been charged with felony drug possession after a California cop allegedly saw him take a brazen hit from a cocaine pipe in broad daylight.

Indio Downey, 20, was charged with one felony count of cocaine possession and one misdemeanor count of possessing a smoking device, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County District Attorney told the Daily News Thursday.

Downey, whose dad famously battled addiction before making a huge Hollywood comeback in blockbusters that included “Iron Man” and “The Avengers,” is due for arraignment Aug. 29, prosecutors said.

He was arrested at 2:20 p.m. on June 29 by a Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputy who spotted the alleged drug use near the busy intersection of La Cienega and Santa Monica Blvds. in West Hollywood. “That was the reason for the stop. He was the front-seat passenger.”“The deputy drove up near him and saw him using a cocaine pipe,” Sgt. Dave Valentine previously told The News.

Downey, a first-time offender, was booked for coke possession and released hours later on $10,000 bail.

“Also, there is a lot of family support and understanding, and we’re all determined to rally behind him and help him become the man he’s capable of being,” he added. “Unfortunately, there’s a genetic component to addiction and Indio has likely inherited it,” Robert Downey Jr. said in a statement to The News.

“We’re grateful to the Sheriff’s department for their intervention, and believe Indio can be another recovery success story instead of a cautionary tale.”

This must be incredibly painful for their family, especially RDJ. Drug/Rehab gone bad stories make me so sad. :(

“Good. Good. When you declare war, you declare war. They started it. We now don't count who's dead. You're dead, you deserve to be dead. Don’t you dare make me feel bad about that.”

“They were told to get out. They didn’t get out. You don’t get out, you are an idiot. At least the ones that were killed were the ones with low IQs.”

She went onto describe Gaza’s Hamas government as “terrorists”.

"This is how I get my day started, everyday. - MR. MY LIFE IS THE SH*T  Download @shots"

According to Forbes, Floyd Mayweather has been the highest-paid athlete in the world two of the last three years. As such, Money likes to flaunt his wealth on social media (the boxing superstar is notorious for bragging about his winning sports wagers). The 37-year-old has been especially boastful on Instagram, where he can offer up videos in 15-second increments of just how fabulous his life is. But one clip Mayweather posted Thursday may take the cake for excess.

In it, the reigning WBC welterweight champion is given a sponge bath by a female assistant while brushing his teeth. Part of the caption reads, "This is how I start my day, everyday" (followed by a hilarious-yet-not-suitable-for-print-in-this-space nickname for himself that can be seen here). The song that plays over the video is Guy's "I Like", which was released in 1989 and was also on the soundtrack for the 2000 film "Love & Basketball." The fighter's luxurious bath is reminiscent of Prince Akeem's, the fictitous character portrayed by Eddie Murphy, in the opening sequence of 1988's "Coming to America."
