Kween of Komedy Kim Kardashian™ - Nutty Pregnancy Advice Was 'Sarcastic,' She Says

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Kan't anyone take a joke around here? A lot of people took Kim Kardashian’s recent remarks on pregnancy to be serious. Which, she says, they weren't.

"I guess you can’t be sarcastic when doing interviews!" the mother of 1-year-old North West wrote in a series of tweets Saturday. "I was asked about tips on pregnancy style… I jokingly said pregnant woman should hide/stay in if they looked like I did lol.”

Sarah Michelle Gellar Working At A Lemonade Stand

In May, Sarah Michelle Gellar's CBS sitcom The Crazy Ones was cancelled, and now - according to a photo she posted on twitter - the TV star is so broke, she needs to work at a lemonade stand. Or, maybe it's just a cute picture she posted on Twitter.

Yeah, okay, seems like it's probably just a cute photo.

No prices are indicated, but given the exquisite workmanship on the stand itself and the fact that the lemonade is served in actual glasses means you're probably looking at $4-6 per cup. The cookies in that little basket are probably only a dollar each. Or two for a dollar if you also get a cup of lemonade, one would assume.

I liked the first episode and will definitely be watching the rest of the season. Linda is a musical genius and it's cool that we get to see her at work. Her studio is amazing and she sure knows what she's doing. She has a very strong personality and is brutally honest and direct though so I'm sure she'll get a lot of hate from people. Anyone else gonna watch? If you're a musician, singer, songwriter, or anyone who likes music and appreciates talent, check it out.

Archie Killed While Saving Gay Friend in Comic Book

Archie Andrews will die taking a bullet for his gay best friend.

The famous freckle-faced comic book icon is meeting his demise in Wednesday's installment of "Life with Archie" when he intervenes in an assassination attempt on Kevin Keller, Archie Comics' first openly gay character. Andrews' death, which was first announced in April, will mark the conclusion of the series that focuses on grown-up renditions of Andrews and his Riverdale pals.

"The way in which Archie dies is everything that you would expect of Archie," said Jon Goldwater, Archie Comics publisher and co-CEO. "

Keller's character first joined Veronica Lodge, Betty Cooper, Jughead Jones and Reggie Mantle in the Archie Comics spin-off "Veronica" in 2010. He later appeared in his own solo title. In "Life with Archie," Keller is a married military veteran and newly elected senator who's pushing for more gun control in Riverdale after his husband was involved in a shooting.

"We wanted to do something that was impactful that would really resonate with the world and bring home just how important Archie is to everyone," said Goldwater. "That's how we came up with the storyline of saving Kevin. He could have saved Betty. He could have saved Veronica. We get that, but metaphorically, by saving Kevin, a new Riverdale is born."

Who shot Archie? Goldwater isn't spoiling the killer, only teasing it's a stalker who wanted to take Keller down.

Kerry Washington, 10 Others Break Emmy Record With Most Nominations for Black Actors

A special moment in Emmy history has been made as 11 Black actors and actresses, including Kerry Washington, star of hit ABC series “Scandal,” have earned nominations. This marks the most nominations for African-Americans across all Emmy categories since 1977.

It was just last year that Washington and actor Don Cheadle made their mark on Emmy history by earning Emmy nominations for their respective leading roles in Scandal and Showtime’s comedy-drama, House Of Lies.

Cheadle was the first Black man to earn a Emmy nomination for lead actor in a decade, while Washington marked the first time a Black actress earned a nomination in the category in nearly two decades.

Maradona says Messi won the Golden Ball because of 'marketing'

Lionel Messi capturing the Golden Ball as the best player at the 2014 FIFA World Cup is a dubious distinction for some. Many believe Messi's tournament was merely average, culminating in a largely indifferent performance during the 1-0 defeat to Germany in the final.

Among the detractors is Argentina legend Diego Maradona. The man with whom Messi is most often compared has blasted FIFA for the award, per a report in The Guardian. Speaking on Latin American television station Telesur, Maradona dismissed Messi winning the award as a business move from FIFA.

"Messi? I would give him heaven if possible," Maradona said. "But it’s not right when someone wins something that he shouldn’t have won just because of some marketing plan."

Those are fairly scathing words from the man who inspired Argentina to World Cup glory in 1986. They are particularly noteworthy because of the intense pressure on Messi to emulate Maradona every time he plays for his country.

Spike TV is going big with its return to scripted fare.

The male-leaning cable network has enlisted Ben Kingsley to star in its six-part King Tut miniseries, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

The limited series is based on the story of Tutankhamun, otherwise known as King Tut.

Kingsley, an Oscar winner for his starring role in Gandhi and three-time nominee, will portray Ay, the Grand Vizier to King Tutankhamun who wields tremendous power and influence as the top advisor to the young Egyptian ruler.

"Tut is the biggest and most ambitious project in Spike’s history. Who better to lead the cast than one of the greatest actors of our generation — Ben Kingsley,” Spike exec vp original series Sharon Levy said . “The character he plays, Ay, is the true power behind the Tutankhamun throne. We are so fortunate to have an actor of Ben Kingsley’s stature bring this character to life for Spike.”

Tut will be filmed entirely on location in Morocco and Canada in the fall for a 2015 debut. The series marks Spike's first scripted event series in eight years and its latest step in its move to reach a more gender-balanced audience.

We are teeming with excitement to announce that Nerdist is premiering “Weird Al” Yankovic’s first music video for his #8videos8days project. Feast your eyes on the video for “Tacky,” a wonderfully warped and wacky version of Pharrell’s hyper-bubbly mega-hit, “Happy.”

Featuring guest appearances from comedians Aisha Tyler, Margaret Cho, Eric Stonestreet, Kristen Schaal and Jack Black, the video shot on location at the historic Palace Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles, the same space that was used as Julianne Moore’s apartment in The Big Lebowski.

“We’re going to have some fun today!” Al told us before shooting began. “Thank you, Pharrell; I really appreciate it–you’re a cool guy,” he said as he cracked that famously wide smile.

Throughout the video we are treated to a wonderful deluge of clashing colors, socks-and-sandals, Jack Black’s backwards sequin fanny pack, and dance moves that resemble a fit of ataxia. Every aspect of the video is so tastefully tasteless, that we’re pretty sure tackiness will be the look of the summer.

As thrilled as we are about how big the music video for “Tacky” is, the rest of Weird Al’s album is full of exceedingly catchy parodies that we’re also ecstatic to blast on repeat all summer long. ”I am very proud of it” Al said confidently. “I think its my best album to date.”

We think so too. Our own Chris Hardwick couldn’t contain his joy at working with Al, “Al has ALWAYS been one of my idols. If you had told teenage me that I would one day not only be friends with him but also get to produce a video for him, my young brain wouldn’t have been able to process it. I have watched “Tacky” dozens of times and I can’t stop singing it. I LOVE YOU AL.”

Now all we need is a 24 hour version of “Tacky” so Weird Al can go on a crusade of faux pas around the world.

Head over to weirdal.com now to preorder your copy of Mandatory Fun. Then keep up with #8videos8days all week for more Weird Al greatness.

What's your favorite Weird Al song, ONTD? Also, what do you find tacky? French manicures? Diners that don't leave tips? Messy FB relationship drama status updates?

Jill Scott, Eve & Regina Hall To Star in Lifetime TV Rom-Com 'With This Ring'

Lifetime (that fledgling black TV network that doesn't call itself a black TV network) (lol - op) has announced its production of yet another original movie centered around the lives of black characters.

This time it's a rom-com titled "With This Ring," which will star Jill Scott, Eve and Regina Hall, in a tale of 3 single best friends who vow to get themselves hitched within a year, after they attend the lavish New Year's Eve wedding of a 4th friend.

Nzingha Stewart will direct the Sony Pictures Television-produced project from her own script, which boasts Tracey Edmonds, Sheila Ducksworth and Gabrielle Union as executive producers.

Shooting begins next month.

The projects joins a long line of African American-targeted movies greenlit by Lifetime recently, including the all-black remake of "Steel Magnolias," as well as "A Day Late and a Dollar Short," "Abducted," "Betty & Coretta," and biopics on Gabby Douglas, Whitney Houston, Aaliyah, and more. Clearly the network is interested (and has likely found much success) in targeting African American audiences with its original movies - enough that Aretha Franklin recently met with Lifetime brass to discuss her long-in-development biopic.

10 (5) Female Superheroes Marvel Could, and Should, Use Soon

Female superheroes are suffering severely in today's industry. While a few probably aren't fit for a full on solo movie, many are ready to get more love from the movie-goers. Many are set up with amazing stories that could also serve very well in TV series, and others would probably be best as major characters in an ensemble film. Here are some ready-to-go picks below.

Thanks to recent controversy about her sexual appeal in comics, as well as poor fan information about Bruce Banner's potential new love interest, She-Hulk has been brought up once again into pop culture. However, if fans actually knew the character, they'd know she's Banner's cousin, and never once suggested to be his love interest. Nevertheless, She-Hulk is the Marvel embodiment of feminine power, and would be one of the most perfect solo franchises to break the ice on female superheroes.

William Orbit Defends Britney, Alien and Auto-Tune (AGAIN)!!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Britney Spears isn't the first—or the last—person to use auto-tune. What's the big deal?

That's the attitude producer William Orbit adopted after an unedited version of the song "Alien," off Spears' 2013 album Britney Jean, leaked online last week. He even defended her on Facebook—multiple times. When he first stood up for Spears, he wrote, "Warming up is essential if you're a pro, as it is with a runner doing stretches, and it takes a while to do properly." Spears has yet to address the controversy.

In his second post, Orbit wrote, "I never thought that this debate would be quite so heated."

"Autotune has always been a hot-button topic. Not as much as the issue of photoshopping in the fashion press. But more than say, the use of CGI, looping and stunt doubles in the movies...Regardless of the fun and games that we have with studio production, the main thing to keep in mind with Ms. Spears is that tens of millions (hundreds of millions?) of people enjoy the music. That's pretty much the be-all and end-all of it. And charisma is charisma," Orbit wrote. "No software ever invented can manufacture that."

Yahoo in early talks to pick up "Enlisted" for a second season

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Yahoo is quickly winning over fans of beloved series. The streaming service's Yahoo Screen is in talks to revive critical darling Enlisted for a second season.

After reviving cult hit Community for a sixth season, Yahoo is in talks with Enlisted producers 20th Century Fox Television to revive Fox's canceled military comedy. Sources tell THR that both sides have been working on a deal for more than a month, though there are still financial issues to work out before — and if — a deal is to be completed.

Following its Community renewal, Yahoo chief marketing officer Kathy Savitt, who has been leading the tech firm's push into originals, told THR that the company is "passionate about giving a home to the best storytellers." "We tend to be very open-minded to where those great stories come from," she said. "Sometimes that will be from A-list writers, sometimes it'll be from studios, sometimes it'll be from those young nascent voices that you see doing incredible things elsewhere on the Internet, and sometimes it'll be from brands."

Zachary Quinto and Emma Roberts join James Franco’s movie about anti-gay "ex-gay" pastor

Zachary Quinto and Emma Roberts will be joining James Franco in the drama “Michael,” about an anti-gay pastor who was once gay himself, Variety has learned.

Quinto will play the former boyfriend of Franco’s character. Roberts is set to reteam with her “Palo Alto” co-star as his girlfriend. Chris Zylka (“The Amazing Spider-Man,” “Piranha 3DD”) is also attached to the film as another past love interest.

The script for “Michael” is based on “My Ex-Gay Friend,” a New York Times Magazine article by Benoit Denizet-Lewis (author of “Travels with Casey”) about Michael Glatze, a Christian minister from Wyoming who was so entrenched in gay culture before rejected his homosexuality, he founded a gay youth magazine. Justin Kelly will direct. Gus van Sant is the executive producer, along with producers James Franco, Vince Jolivette, Michael Mendelsohn, Ron Singer and Scott Reeve.

“This isn’t just a story about an ‘ex-gay,’” Kelly said. “It’s actually a very relatable story about the power of belief and the desire to belong.”

Added Denizet-Lewis: “I’m excited that everyone involved in this project is intent on telling a story that captures the full breadth of Michael’s unusual life, from the inspiring gay leader I knew when I was young to the Christian pastor he is today.”

World Cup Hero Tim Howard Talks About Sudden Fame

Adweek recently tracked down soccer star Tim Howard to get his take on his sudden fame, what he's looking for in a brand partner, and his plans for World Cup 2018.

So, is this your big chance to cash in with sponsorships?
I suppose so. That’s what everyone’s telling me.

Your agent says you’re seeking sponsorships that fit who you are as a person.
It’s important that I’m a role model, and that the companies that I associate myself with feel the same way about their own images. Those are companies I’d like to be associated with. I try not to and I don’t think I ever have just jumped at any opportunity because a company wanted me. Just because there was money on the table doesn’t mean that I took it.

Are you looking for long-term deals?
Sponsorships and marketing are oftentimes pretty short-lived. From a company’s standpoint, they’re often not looking to do tremendously long contracts. They’re always trying to catch the next big thing. I do believe that relationships are important. I always feel that if it works for me and it works for them, if there’s a good rapport, then longer-term relationships—one year, two years, five years, whatever that means—help to grow my brand and the company’s brand. Consistency’s important.

Marvel To Announce A New Title On The View Tomorrow

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been largely dominated by male superheroes to this point, but in the next few years the tide could end up turning on that front. In the past we’ve heard producers from Marvel Studios talk about making more female-driven stories (with Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel considered to be a prime candidate for a solo film). It's hard to say how the future will play out or even when - but for now Marvel appears to be on the heels of making a big announcement for their female characters - either in live-action or in the comics.

Marvel has revealed via press release that tomorrow’s (July 15th) episode of The View will be feature the announcement of the company’s “latest explosive title.” Unfortunately, the memo from Marvel doesn’t specify exactly that medium the “title” will be in, but the wording suggests a new comic book series and that thought is supported by sources over at Deadline.

And afterwards when quizzed about missing a historic second consecutive award he gave the reporter short shrift.

"You can take that golden shoe s*** and stick it"

Colombia's James Rodriguez took home the prestigious award, his six goals in just five games enough to him the prize.

Matthew Knowles’ Alleged Second Baby's Mama Was An Acquaintance Of Solange

There’s a new twist in the story of another woman coming forward claiming Matthew Knowles is the father of her child. It appears Solange knows the chick but never knew her “friend” was sleeping with her father.

With all of the drama surrounding Matthew Knowles and the first woman who claimed he fathered her child, the former Destiny’s Child manager is now being accused yet again of fathering another child (a girl) with a 30-year-old Houston woman.

We told you the mother of his 4-year-old alleged daughter is named TaQoya Branscomb. She’s a 30-year-old “lingerie model” turned realtor who just so happens to have known Matthew’s daughter, Solange. According to TMZ, TaQoya and Solange (above) hit up nightclubs and bars together in Houston on several occasions. They allegedly met through a stylist in 2008.

To make matters worse, Matthew allegedly knew Solange was hanging out with TaQoya! Solo never had a clue of what was going on behind her back. Sighs…

TaQoya’s daughter was born in 2010, which is the same year Tina Knowles filed for divorce. Now TaQoya wants Papa Knowles to take a DNA test. She’s also requesting child support and money for her attorney fees.

Topshop Angers Shoppers with Racist Necklace

Topshop has come under fire for selling an awful charm necklace which features controversial yellowface imagery. @summoningesther tweeted the photo above of the necklace with “How is this racism acceptable? Told by manager is acceptable because it was vintage style and not racist” (sic).

Venus Wong of Refinery29 points out that the “vintage” charms resemble anti-Chinese propaganda cartoons that were popular in the 19th century. She also states that the accessories were likely inspired by the controversial Dolce & Gabbana Testa di moro-style earrings.

The piece is taken from Topshop’s “Freedom Found” collection, the website blurb for the collection reads “from eclectic Chinese mask charms, burnished silver Aztec medallions and exotic gem necklaces, the range offers vintage jewellery handpicked from around the world”.

This embarrassing and harmful piece of jewellery from Topshop is, as the UK shopper who brought it to everyone's attention said, completely unacceptable. The necklace has since been removed from Topshop’s website.

World Cup champion Germany expects to keep machine rolling into Euro 2016

There are different levels of satisfaction in winning the World Cup. It is the peak of rapture for every victor, the greatest feeling in soccer, the pinnacle of a career, in many cases the end of a long and exhausting journey.

But for others it is merely the beginning, the fuel for more success, more nights like these, more chances to show they are the best. In the heady moments following Sunday's World Cup final, this was how it seemed for Germany, a team that was delighted with collecting the trophy but by no means surprised by it. It's a team that fully believes it can form a dynasty, much in the same way Spain reigned over soccer right up until its first game of this tournament.

Ask Lauren: How to Love the Body You Have

Here on LaurenConrad.com we post a lot of blogs about slimming down, shaping up, and getting fit. I’ll be the first one to admit that I love to read diet and fitness tips because I think a healthy lifestyle is important. But behind all of this talk of toning up lies the heart of what it means to be healthy: Loving the skin you’re in and treating it right. One reader recently wrote a comment that really inspired me and sparked a conversation on the blog. She explained that “loving the body you have” is a great way to be confident, but that constantly working to improve our health is what’s really important. I was happy to see this interesting take on the whole idea of “slimming down” and “shaping up” because it showed me that our readers are quite intuitive about body image. In a nutshell, here’s what one reader, Halie, wrote:

[Being healthy] shouldn’t be about appearance, it should be about health. Love yourself so much that you want to be healthy. Once I let go of trying to be skinny or perfect and focused on the idea of loving my body so much that I gave it the very best treatment, I got healthier.

Another reader, Hannah, agreed and wrote back with this:

Although it’s great to “be happy with the body you have,” what is even better is trying to improve and become healthier and more fit. Almost everyone I know, while of course they are worthy of self-confidence, should spend more time working out, choosing healthier meals and snacks, and making lifestyle changes rather than sitting on the couch.

Author of “How to Survive the Bulls of Pamplona” gets gored by bull in Pamplona

For the bulls, he was perhaps the most tantalizing of targets.

"Buffalo" Bill Hillmann is considered the best young bull runner from the United States. He travels to Spain from his Chicago home every summer for the famous running of the bulls in Pamplona. He even co-wrote a book, "Fiesta: How to Survive the Bulls of Pamplona," that offered novices handy tips to avoid getting hurt at the festival.

DWIGHT HOWARD RIPPED BY ZOA ORG. 'He Should Be Publicly Condemned'

The oldest "Pro-Israel" organization in the United States is lashing out at NBA star Dwight Howard -- claiming his "#FreePalestine" tweet is hateful and ignorant.
As we previously reported Howard tweeted -- and then deleted -- the message on Saturday ... and then issued an apology for commenting on international politics in the first place.
But the Zionist Organization of America -- an international group with more than 30k members -- says Dwight's apology isn't enough.
"He should be publicly condemned as strong as Donald Sterling was," ZOA President Morton Klein tells TMZ Sports.
"Anyone who uses the phrase 'Free Palestine' is either ignorant of the situation or hates the Jewish state of Israel. It's a hateful position."
Klein adds, "Celebs have great influence.  When he makes a ridiculously false statement like 'Free Palestine,' it's frightening."
