Blake Shelton: Blond Adam Levine looks like Meg Ryan

The coaches teased Adam Levine about his new hair color, inviting comparisons to Miley Cyrus and a futuristic cyborg.

"I don't have an explanation," PEOPLE's Sexiest Man Alive defended of his new coif. "I woke up. I had the day off and I thought I'd look like Shakira. My mom hates it. I kind of felt like that would happen.

Shelton, who last week Tweeted Levine's private phone number, could not resist the moment. "That's Adam? I thought Meg Ryan was sitting in with us tonight for a second there."

Jessica Alba thinks she's still relevant as/can get work as an actress

Jessica Alba has a no-nudity clause in her film contacts, and it's for one simple reason.

"I don't want my grandparents to see my boobs. That's it," the actress, 33, tells Glamour in its June issue, on newsstands May 13.

"It would be weird at Christmas," she says. "And, I mean, really, if you look at the movies I have done, getting naked would never 'elevate' the picture." Collapse )

This “Grey's Anatomy” tribute to Cristina and Meredith will make you cry.

If you have A Person, once had A Person, or ever lost A Person, the following video might make you weep for your BFF.

Frankly, Meredith and Cristina are one of the best friendships on TV. (I’m happy to debate that, if you disagree. Also, you’re nuts!) And as Sandra Oh prepares to bid farewell to the series, fans of the pleasantly sardonic pair will likely enjoy this walk down memory lane — even if you’re not a happy, glowy person.

Real Life "Bernie" Released From Prison - as Long as He Moves in with Richard Linklater

If this idea were pitched as a script, it might get laughed out of the room. But this is a true Hollywood story.

The real-life murderer who was the subject of Richard Linklater's underrated dark comedy "Bernie," which featured Jack Black in a Golden Globe-nominated, arguably career-best performance, was released from jail on Tuesday — on the provision that he moves in with the director.

How A Nerd-Hero Writer Became The Breakout Star Of This Summer’s Most Unlikely Blockbuster

A romantic drama about young cancer patients doesn’t seem like it would spur the same fanaticism as The Hunger Games, but The Fault in Our Stars — in particular, John Green, who wrote the YA best-seller — is proof that teenage feelings are special effects too.

Matt Bomer opens up about his "very chill, very small" wedding & The Normal Heart

Matt Bomer—or Boner as some like to affectionately call him—has been winning the hearts of fans for the past five years as Neal Caffrey on USA's White Collar. Often compared to Cary Grant, Bomer's character often charms women (and gay fans) with his dazzling smile and slick wardrobe.

With HBO's adaptation of The Normal Heart, Bomer is presenting a new side of himself—one that's more raw, more exposed. As Felix Turner, the actor comes full circle with Larry Kramer's play, which first exposed Bomer to a world outside of his small-town Texas upbringing. In the cover story with contributing editor Shana Naomi Krochmal, Bomer opens up about his personal transformation in playing Turner, how he rallied for a part that was a far cry from White Collar, and what it means to play gay on screen.

His surprise to the media's reaction to his "coming out":
“I frankly did not think people would be that interested. I certainly didn’t think it was going to be on the CNN ticker.”

'Sleepy Hollow' gets more episodes for 'epic' season 2

If the first season of Sleepy Hollow left you wanting a little more, you’ll love what Fox has planned for season 2.

The breakout supernatural-historical thriller will produce at least 15 episodes for its sophomore season, with producers currently preparing for a potential total of 18 episodes. That’s well above the 13-episode order for season one.

The move gives producers more leeway to tell an ambitious story, which executive producer Mark Goffman says will have a war theme. Of course, more episodes also means that the Sleepy Hollow team has to fill more hours, and Fox has been advocating shorter seasons for dramas in general as a way of boosting creative quality. The 13-episode “cable model” is being increasingly tested by broadcast networks for certain serialized shows, while short-order “event series” such as Fox’s upcoming thriller Wayward Pines are all the rage. Goffman tells EW he’s confident Sleepy Hollow will continue to maintain the same creative and production values that fans enjoyed during its debut season.

“We look at this series as epic and every episode as needing to be epic,” Goffman says. “Every episode needs to be an adventure, and something mind blowing has to happen to our characters, with major revelations that move the story forward. We still approach it with that in mind. The more episodes you do, the harder that becomes, but I feel we are still at level where we can maintain that pace.”

Sleepy Hollow was the first freshman series this season to get renewed for a second round — initially, 13 episodes. The news comes on the heels of Sleepy Hollow castingThe West Wing actor Timothy Busfield as Benjamin Franklin in season 2.

Blind Item: He likes them big & buff

He took off for the desert recently. To relax. And party. Without his girl. And gets high and hooks up with random men online (he likes them super pretty and super jacked), inviting them to his hotel room for a night of drugs and sex.

Two problems here. First, he’s a recovering addict and second, when he goes on these tears, he doesn’t use condoms. It’s the kind of reckless behaviour he’s been able to control through much of his success and for many years now. Curiously though, the last time this happened it was also during one of his transformations. Back then though, there was no explosion of social media and everyone taking pics. Considering that he’s been hooking up with dudes who are on the young side (but totally legal), he’s risking being exposed by someone who’s out to show off and exploit.

Jennifer Lopez is not shy about admitting that splitting from her husband Marc Anthony was a very difficult time in her life.

"I went through a tremendous low," Lopez, 44, tells PEOPLE of ending her marriage of almost eight years in 2012. "But I wouldn't change anything [about my past] because it made me who I am."

Lopez says her breakup allowed her to "take a look at what was going on" and reevaluate her view of relationships.

"As women we can sometimes give ourselves away," says the star, who will perform two songs and become the first female recipient of the Icon Award at the 2014 Billboard Music Awards, airing May 18 on ABC.

"I was certainly guilty of that for some time. Now I realize I am good on my own, so now I can share my life with somebody."

For the past two years, Lopez has been sharing her life with boyfriend Casper Smart, but she credits her 6-year-old twins Emme and Max for teaching her the most about love.

"I just feel like I went through a real growth spurt as a human being [when I became a mother], says Lopez, who will release her eighth studio album A.K.A. on June 17. "Having my babies allowed me to realize what real unconditional love was."

RHONY continues to do the most for a ratings boost

Viewers noticed that Aviva Drescher was cut out of the opening scene on The Real Housewives of New York City Tuesday night, and some even reached out to us to let us known that Aviva was not included in the intro of re-run episodes that aired over the weekend.

The infamous opening tag lines and shot of the ladies holding apples at the beginning of each episode is iconic, and Bravo has cut Drescher out without giving any explanation! While Aviva’s name is still listed on the show’s Wikipedia site and on, it appears she has been cut out of the show? During Tuesday’s episode, Drescher was mentioned, but not shown in the episode or in the preview for the following episode as the women journeyed to the Berkshires.

Naughty But Nice Rob reports that Drescher was “fired” for three episodes because she refused to go on the cast trip with the other women because it involved the outdoors and she has a prosthetic leg and terrible asthma. “Bravo faked a firing for the sake of the show, removing her from the opening and banning her form the next three episodes, but it’s all a ploy to get ratings up. Aviva returns full-time,” NBNR reports, later adding, “Bravo insiders say she returns to the show after the ladies visit the Berkshires and Montana without her.” We checked out Aviva’s Twitter, along with Andy Cohen’s and BravoTV’s and found no answers regarding Aviva’s sudden absence. We have also reached out to the network and Aviva for a comment.

New Flintstones movie in development

The show had several short-lived reboots over the decades (Seth McFarlane recently tried to mount one but tabled it after the pilot script didn’t wow) and has a solid hold in pop culture.

kim kardashian writes a blog on racism and discrimination

I never knew how much being a mom would change me. It’s amazing how one little person and the love I have for her has brought new meaning to every moment. What once seemed so important, now feels insignificant. It’s like I get to see the world for the first time again, but through someone else’s eyes. It’s a beautiful thing to feel and experience so much more, but with that beauty comes a flip side – seeing through my daughter’s eyes the side of life that isn’t always so pretty.

To be honest, before I had North, I never really gave racism or discrimination a lot of thought. It is obviously a topic that Kanye is passionate about, but I guess it was easier for me to believe that it was someone else’s battle. But recently, I’ve read and personally experienced some incidents that have sickened me and made me take notice. I realize that racism and discrimination are still alive, and just as hateful and deadly as they ever have been.

I feel a responsibility as a mother, a public figure, a human being, to do what I can to make sure that not only my child, but all children, don’t have to grow up in a world where they are judged by the color of their skin, or their gender, or their sexual orientation. I want my daughter growing up in a world where love for one another is the most important thing.

So the first step I’m taking is to stop pretending like this isn’t my issue or my problem, because it is, it’s everyone’s… because the California teenager who was harassed and killed by his classmates for being gay, the teenage blogger in Pakistan who was shot on her school bus for speaking out in favor of women’s rights, the boy in Florida who was wrongly accused of committing a crime and ultimately killed because of the color of his skin, they are all someone’s son and someone’s daughter and it is our responsibility to give them a voice and speak out for those who can’t and hopefully in the process, ensure that hate is something our children never have to see.

NBC rewards stateside Olympics viewers by extending its biennial flopping for an additional 12 years

NBC Universal pays $7.75 billion for Olympics through 2032
Nancy Armour, USA TODAY Sports 3:20 p.m. EDT May 7, 2014

The International Olympic Committee doesn't want anybody but NBC.

The IOC announced Wednesday it had agreed to a $7.75 billion deal with NBCUniversal for broadcast rights to the Olympic Games through 2032. Instead of putting the rights up for bid as it usually does, the IOC quietly approached the network in November about an extension.

NBC got caught in a bidding war with Disney's ESPN/ABC and News Corp.'s Fox Sports when the rights were up for bid three years ago.

"The confidence and the reliable promotion of the Olympic Games and the Olympic values, it's key. This is why we wanted to build on our long-term partnership with NBC," IOC President Thomas Bach said on a conference call. "We could be sure and we are sure that the Olympic Games will be presented in a way that the Olympic spirit requires and how we see."

The deal covers six Olympics, from 2021 to 2032, and gives NBC rights to all media platforms including TV, internet and mobile. NBC's previous agreement, negotiated in 2011, included four Olympics through 2020 and cost the network $4.4 billion.

The agreement includes a $100 million signing bonus to be used for "promotion of Olympism and the Olympic values" between 2015 and 2020.

Danzig sues the man who ruined The Misfits

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Scott Gries, Getty Images

According to various sources, former Misfits frontman Glenn Danzig is suing current Misfits bassist Jerry Only over rights to a lucrative merchandising deal with Hot Topic. Additionally, Danzig claims that Jerry Only registered trademarks “for everything Misfits-related in 2000″ behind the singer’s back.

The Misfits’ iconic mascot, known as the ‘Crimson Ghost’ or the ‘Fiend Skull,’ is one of music’s most recognizable symbols. An insane amount of Misfits merch has been created featuring the piece of art, but according to Glenn Danzig, he’s been missing out on a large chunk of royalties from the merch sold.

Reported by Re-Tox, Danzig has filed suit against Jerry Only, whose real name is Gerald Caiafa. On April 3, Glenn Danzig filed a complaint with the California Central District Court claiming Trademark Infringement. Gerald Caiafa has been named as the defendant, along with Cyclopian Music Inc., which was formed by Jerry Only and former Misfits guitarist Doyle in 1987.

The Trademark Infringement suit dates back to a 1994 contract, in which Danzig, Jerry Only and other agreed to share ownerships of Misfits trademarks for merchandising purposes.

Interestingly enough, according to Noisey, Danzig added a little sting in Section 9 of the complaint:

After forming the band, Danzig replaced the original bass player with Caiafa, whose primary qualification was that he had recently received a bass guitar for Christmas.

As for the merch itself, Hot Topic currently lists a ton of Misfits items, including shirts, music, bags, socks and even bikinis on the shop’s website.

Stay tuned for more info on Glenn Danzig’s lawsuit against Jerry Only as news breaks.

</a>Update: “Glee” Ratings Slip to Series Low for Colfer’s Episode By Brian Cantor | May 7, 2014

Update: If it does not receive an upward adjustment in the final Nielsen report, Tuesday’s edition of “Glee” will rank as the series’ worst-rated and least-watched episode to date.

Per Fast National Data, “Glee” scored a 0.8 adults 18-49 rating with 2.16 million viewers. No previous episode had attracted a demo rating of less than 0.9 or a viewership total of less than 2.30 million.

While last week’s episode delivered the same 0.8 in the fast nationals, it was adjusted up to a 0.9 in the finals. Its viewership tally was stronger in both reports.

FOX followed “Glee” with the season finales of “New Girl” (1.2, 2.39 million) and “The Mindy Project” (1.3, 2.45 million).

Offering a distraction from the negativity surrounding the “Glee” ratings and backstage situation, Tuesday’s episode, which was penned by star Chris Colfer, represented one of the most unabashedly feel-good hours in the series’ history.

It did not, however, hook viewers.

“Old Dog, New Tricks,” the fifth season’s penultimate episode, drew a 1.9 overnight household rating. It ties last week’s showing as a low for the series.

The “New Girl” and “Mindy Project” season finales, which followed, drew respective 1.9 and 1.8 overnight household ratings.

Updated ratings data, including adults 18-49 ratings and viewership totals, will be available by noon.

Will & Jada Smith - Willow mature enough to make own decisions

13-year-old Willow Smith is old enough to make decisions on who she hangs with -- even innocently in bed ... this according to Willow's parents.

Sources connected to the Smith family tell TMZ ... Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith believe their daughter is "very mature" ... enough so to make her own decisions, as long as they don't clearly cross the line.

Will and Jada view the now-famous photo of Willow in bed with 20-year-old "Hannah Montana" star Moises Arias as innocent fun ... an expression of art.

The Smiths have known Moises for years, and he's best friends with 15-year-old Jaden.

Bottom line ... Will and Jada have NO issue with the pic.

Badgalriri apparently deletes her Instagram.

Last week Rihanna posted some racy pictures to her Instagram feed and on Monday her account went M.I.A.

So what gives? Instagram has confirmed that they did not delete the singer's account, rather, it was suspended briefly by mistake and then quickly restored.

But since being reinstated by Instagram, Rihanna's account has again gone AWOL. Hey! Wha' Happened? A source with knowledge of the situation tells Billboard that the account has not been subsequently deleted, leaving its disappearance a mystery.

Did Rih delete or suspend her own account? A request for comment from Rihanna's rep has not been returned.

As the world wait for answers, you might be thinking, "What am I gonna do now that Rih Rih's ghosting us on Insta? Where do I get my fix of memes and Rih #selfies?" We have faith that the Bad Gal will reappear sometime very soon (if her Twitter activity is any indication) and when that happens we'll be sure to let the interwebs know.

And by interwebs, we're lookin' at you #RihannaNavy. Hashtag no filter.

Lea Michele's Inspiration List

If we had to choose one way to describe Lea Michele (besides "funny," "gorgeous," and "extremely talented"), we would pick "inspirational." Not only does she play one of the most musically dynamic characters on television, she also has an incredible outlook on life and a repeat-worthy album to boot.

But off the stage and outside the studio, the star is (somehow) even more admirable, supporting charities for everything from LGBTQ youth to homelessness, and serving as an ambassador for L'Oréal's Women of Worth, which is all about celebrating those who make a difference in their communities through philanthropy. "I feel so blessed to have such a cool job and a great life and family," she says, "but at the end of the day, giving back is truly what makes it all worth it." Um, role model much?

Jenna Elfman reveals past as Depeche Mode video star: 'They told me to dance badly!'

Visit for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

As the "Growing Up Fisher" actress revealed on TODAY Monday, she had been front and center (and brunette!) for a few scenes in the British band's 1990 video for "Halo," which was directed by Anton Corbijn.

But there was a surprise once she got on set. "They told me to dance badly," she laughed. "I’d spent my whole life trying to dance well, so that was really hard."

At least she had fun, and went to the band's concert later that year.

There was another bit of adorableness that recently passed through Elfman's life: the adoption of a puppy by "Fisher's" cast and crew. The pup, a Labrador retriever named Guf (named after the show), will undergo training by the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind in New York.

The Sims 4: How Composer Ilan Eshkeri Brings Emotion to the Screen

The Sims 4 – a new AI engine, and some sweeping orchestral music, should bring some romance to the series

Most of us have an internal soundtrack - we may not always notice it, but it is there. It could be a song we heard on the radio that haunts us for the rest of the day, or it may be something that swells up unaccountably from memory, some favourite tune brought to the surface by a waft of perfume, or familiar place. Consciously or unconsciously, we assign motion picture scores to our lives – a first kiss, a break-up, a re-union – all can be brought back by the right melody.

This is something that Maxis, the developer behind the hugely successful Sims series, has always appreciated. Ever since the original title arrived in 2000, revolutionalising the whole concept of the life simulation, music has been an important part of the experience.

Style Queen Kate Beckinsale steps out w/ momma Judy Loe

They're both actresses, and, judging from a recent outing, they're both chic dressers.

On Tuesday Kate Beckinsale showed just how fond she is of her mother Judy Loe when she stepped out in London in an outfit that was similar to the 67-year-old matriarch's.

Not only did the two have on matching grey scarves, but the 40-year-old Underworld star also copied her mum's love for animal print. While Kate sported leopard, her mother wore zebra.

Johnny Depp to front Ralph Steadman documentary on Hunter Thompson days

1 fearandloathing

Following yet another big screen flop with Transcendence, Johnny Depp is leading a new documentary about the life of artist Ralph Steadman. The star will front "For No Good Reason" with a scheduled premiere of early June. Steadman, known for his radical work with Gonzo writer Hunter S. Thompson, will be the focus of Depp's film, which will take a "richly creative look at the power and importance of art."

Few figures epitomize the counterculture more than Ralph Steadman. Wicked satirist, outlandish cartoonist and, of course, longtime Hunter S. Thompson co-conspirator, the British artist has been making mayhem for five decades. In "For No Good Reason," director Charlie Paul examines Steadman's creative process and, through a conversation between Steadman and Johnny Depp and rare archival footage featuring Thompson, captures the artist's mischievous spirit.

2 fear

Paul will be directing the project, after spending 15 years gathering the footage and creating impressive animations in the anarchic spirit of Steadman's illustrations.
Depp will guide viewers through the wild, drug-addled period of Steadman's time with Thompson, the famous Rumble in the Jungle and his gun fights with Beat Generation giant William S. Burroughs.

Power Rangers is getting rebooted as a film franchise

Lionsgate and Saban Brands are partnering to develop and produce a live action movie based on Saban’s Power Rangers property as the first film in a franchise.

More Amazing "Crimson Peak" Set Pics

She is filming the period horror film Crimson Peak. And along with Mia Wasikowska's new role comes a creepy wardrobe. The 24-year-old was seen wearing a bizarre hand-shaped belt as she filmed scenes on location in Canada on Tuesday.

Mia is part of an A-list cast that includes Sons Of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam, Thor's Tom Hiddleston and Oscar-nominee Jessica Chastain in what the director has called a very 'adult movie'. The blonde Australian actress didn't let the grim tone of the film get her down though, as she was spotted grinning and laughing with cast mates on Tuesday. Wearing all-black, Chastain was also giggling on set and even high-fiving a young extra.

Fan favourite Hiddleston looked like a cool customer as he lounged in the sun on a deck chair with vintage shades, while Chastain held an umbrella by his side.

Is 14 Too Young to Get Married? Clip from 'My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding'

"If she was 16 that's understandable...but 14 is not acceptable"

Yes, "Romeo and Juliet" features some of the most romantic dialogue Shakespeare ever wrote -- but it's not quite so alluring when you think that Juliet was barely a teenager. With that in mind, you might understand why "Gypsy Sisters" star Nettie Stanley wasn't all that thrilled when her daughter Nukkie wanted to run off with her very first boyfriend, Pookie Small (don't you love these names?). It's "Romeo and Juliet" Gypsy style, with bad clothing and neon pink nails! In this exclusive clip from "My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding" (Thurs. May 8 at 9:00 p.m. ET), get a glimpse of Nukkie and Pookie's rush to the altar.

After two years, Nukkie finally has her mom's support (or has just worn her down) and it's all systems go for a wedding. Alas, Nettie isn't too thrilled about her new in-law Dovie Small, so there's always the chance the wedding could go up in flames or at least end in a fistfight. It won't be the classiest wedding, but it could be the most explosive!

"Spring Breakers" sequel coming your way, courtesy of "Trainspotting" writer

Look at my shee-yit... again. Yep, what started as iffy-sounding, blog-based rumor a couple of months ago seems now to have become a real thing: Harmony Korine's girls-gone-wild provocation "Spring Breakers" is getting a sequel.

French sales and production company Wild Bunch this morning revealed an intriguing slate of titles that they'll be hawking this month at the Cannes market -- the parallel universe of low-profile and/or unproduced projects that runs busily alongside the film festival itself. Among them were a number of exciting-sounding ventures from name directors, including Gaspar Noé, Paul Verhoeven, Arnaud Desplechin and reigning Palme d'Or winner Abdellatif Kechiche.

'Shovel Girl' Video Triggers Criminal Investigation

It's all fun and games until someone gets hit in the head with a shovel. TMZ has learned police are investigating the infamous "shovel girl" video, and assault charges now loom.

By now you've seen the video: two girls are fighting when one grabs a shovel and throws it at the other, nailing her in the back of the head as she hightails it out.

Now a rep for the Miami County Sheriff's office in Ohio tells TMZ they've assigned a deputy to investigate after they were contacted by the girls' high school. Maj. Steve Lord tells TMZ the girl who threw the shovel could be charged with assault or disorderly conduct.

We think we know what Exhibit A would be.
