First Openly Gay Basketball Player Derrick Gordon Dating FORTY-SEVEN year old CSI Star

Derrick Gordon -- the first openly gay men's college basketball player -- apparently has himself a famous boyfriend ... "CSI" actor Gerald McCullouch.
The two arrived to the GLAAD media awards in NYC this weekend -- 47-year-old Gerald was Derrick's date for the evening ... and MediaTakeOut has a photo of the two kissing on the red carpet.

Gordon -- who only went public about his sexuality last month -- was honored at the event ... and afterward wrote, "22 years old now...4 years ago I wouldnt have never imagine my life changing so much and being at the GLAAD AWARDS...IM TRULY BLESSED!!!!"

As for Gerald, he was on "CSI" for years playing the role of Bobby Dawson ... and he's also been a part of several gay-themed movies including "Bear City" and Bear City 2" ... about big hair gay dudes.

Beyoncé Loses Ring at Met Gala, Jay Z Finds It and Stages a Mock Proposal

They saved the best for last!

Beyoncé and Jay Z were the final stars to walk the red carpet at the Met Gala in New York City Monday, and the power couple made it worth photographers' while. The "XO" singer, 32, and the "Holy Grail" rapper, 44, looked picture perfect in complementary Givenchy Haute Couture looks.

At one point, one of Beyoncé's Lorraine Schwartz rings slid off her finger and fell onto the ground. Fortunately, her husband of six years located the lost jewelry—but instead of merely handing it back to her, he decided to stage a mock proposal for the cameras. Lowering himself to a bent position, Jay Z took his wife's hand in his and slipped the ring back into place. To no one's surprise, Beyoncé said yes.

Married since Apr. 4, 2008, the "Drunk in Love" collaborators are parents to daughter Blue Ivy Carter, 2.

Next month, Beyoncé and Jay Z will kick off their 16-date On the Run tour. They will travel throughout North America, making stops in Atlanta, Houston, Miami, New Orleans, Philadelphia, Seattle and more.

Brooke Candy drops "Opulence" EP

Featuring collaborations with Sia and Greg Kurstin (Bird & The Bee), Brooke Candy's "Opulence' EP is released on iTunes today.

Emerging rapper/singer and viral sensation Brooke Candy is set to release her Opulence EP on May 6th via RCA Records. The Opulence EP features 5 brand new tracks from Candy and was executive produced by her label-mate Sia.

The title and lead-off track was produced by Diplo and written by Brooke Candy, Thomas Pentz, Jordan Safford, Noah Beresin, Sia Furler, Jesse St. John. The track is now available at all digital providers.

The music video for “Opulence” was directed by famed fashion photographer Steven Klein (Lady Gaga, Madonna) and was released last night on VEVO. Fans can view the video here:

“Opulence is an exploration of the horror of excessive materialism disguised as beauty in our present age: a visual modern interpretation of the Biblical Golden Calf, in which we are willing to sell out souls and shed our blood for material luxury and false idols,” comments Klein about the video.

"Brooke is pop music's renegade,” says Nicola Formichetti, Fashion Director of Brooke Candy & Creative Director of Diesel. “I find her creative, rebellious energy to be infectious and inspiring."

Candy, who has sparked an overwhelming amount of interest online and created a buzz with her empowering fierce lyrics and visuals, has been tapped by Diesel creative director Nicola Formichetti as one of the faces of Diesel’s 2014 spring accessories campaign. Candy hit the music scene in 2012 co-starring in the music video for Grimes’ hit single "Genesis” and shortly after released her own highly successful viral track “Das Me.”

Candy currently resides in Los Angeles and is in the studio working on her debut album, which is also executive produced by Sia.

Olsen sisters at Met Gala

Mary-Kate, Ashley, and Elizabeth Olsen all stepped out for the Costume Institute Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC on Monday night. We rarely get to see all three gorgeous girls together, so this was definitely a treat! The Olsens posed for photos as they made their way down the red carpet; Mary-Kate and Ashley wore matching dark hues, while younger sister Elizabeth opted for pale blue Miu Miu. It's been a busy few months for all three girls; designers Ashley and Mary-Kate have been hard at work on their dual fragrances for Sephora — they talked up the scents, called Nirvana, in an adorable interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show recently — while Elizabeth is gearing up for the May 16 release of Godzilla, in which she has a starring role.

Emma Stone Joins Joaquin Phoenix in Woody Allen’s Next Film

Emma Stone and Joaquin Phoenix are set to star in Woody Allen’s next pic.

The film is currently untitled, but Allen is expected to write, produce and direct like he has with so many of his other projects.

Plot details are unknown, but sources say the film would likely shoot this July. The film is also without a distributor, but Sony Pictures Classics is a front-runner, as it has distributed this last handful of Allen films.
The cast is slowly starting to come together and expect it to be another grand ensemble. While this will be the first time Allen will have worked with Phoenix, he has been known to become attached to certain stars like Scarlett Johansson and Dianne Wiest. He looks to be doing the same here with Stone, whom he worked with on the upcoming “Magic in the Moonlight.”

Stone is coming off a big weekend at the box office, where her film “The Amazing Spider-Man 2″ grossed $91.6 million at the domestic box-office. She is repped by WME and Anonymous Content.
Allen’s last film, “Blue Jasmine,” landed Cate Blanchett a best actress Oscar and Sally Hawkins a supporting actress nomination.

Yvonne Strahovski on Joining Cast of 24 and the Louie Tickle Shocker

Yvonne Strahovski just had the best night ever. The "Chuck" alum was in the return of two of the most buzzed-about, critically-acclaimed shows on TV, Fox's "24: Live Another Day" and FX's "Louie."

"Thank god they're not actually happening at the same time, because then I'd have to pick," Strahovski joked to Yahoo TV, noting that while "24" is probably more in her wheelhouse, she was excited to stretch her comedy chops on Louis C.K.'s show. "It was a lot of fun — we had a blast," she said with a laugh.

The "Louie" guest spot made me so happy. How did all of this come about?
It was a big, fat surprise — they called and said, "We'd love you to do the episode," and I quickly agreed because it's fabulous. I haven't even seen the episode, so I'm very excited to see how it turned out and how it ended up being.

No audition?
No, the casting director had actually seen a Broadway play that I was in last year, "Golden Boy," so she thought of me from that, and they called me and that was it.

Mostly wanted to post this to discuss Louie. How'd you feel about the premiere?

James St. James Has Dinner with Michael Alig - RUH ROH

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Only out of jail for a few hours and already Michael Alig is surrounded by a posse of club kids once again, but this time around they're all over the internet, blurry and in real time (no more waiting for next month's issue of Project X or Paper Magazine to catch a glimpse). There's Alig pictured above at dinner with Scotto and Astro Erle (who were among those who picked him up at jail) and old pal James St. James, who earlier published a fun open letter to Michael at the WOW Report. Here's an excerpt:

Viral videos, blogs, GIFs, memes - there's a whole world waiting for you online. But the internet is a scary place. Things get weird fast. I suggest dipping your feet in slowly. Gently. Here are a few fun, soothing videos to get you going: David After Dentist, The Prancercize Lady, Charlie Bit Me, Sweet Brown, Two Girls One Cup...

Technology develops at light speed now, you don't want to get left behind. You NEED a smart phone, a computer, a DVR, and a tablet. There are no two ways around this. And be sure to keep up on all the latest upgrades and gadgets. You don't want to be like me. I still have an iphone 4. Its calculator is an abacus. My Grindr only has Pilgrims in my area who want to hook up. It's OLD.

Things we don't need any more: Phone books, dictionaries, maps, and encyclopedias. They're all in your phone. IT'S CRAZY.

Things it takes awhile to get used to not needing anymore: Photographs, books, and newspapers. You'll fight this, but eventually you'll succumb. It's a paperless world now. Adapt or die.

Read it all HERE. Follow along at James St. James's Instagram where he's already proclaimed they're on their way to... grindr.

Brace yourselves: will.he.stop wants to collaborate with AnnE

Batten down the hatches and cover your ears: music’s most unholy alliance could be coming to radio waves soon., arguably the music industry’s most annoying producer, wants to make sweet, sweet music with Anne Hathaway, arguably Hollywood’s most-hated actress. Oh sweet Jesus. A and Anne Hathaway song? You can blame Ryan Seacrest.

It all started when Hathaway called in to Seacrest’s radio show yesterday morning to promote her upcoming animated movie, Rio 2 (which I actually want to see — I love a good talking bird flick). At first, the two were just shootin’ the breeze, talking about one of Hathaway’s favorite coffee spots in L.A., but then Seacrest lowered the boom: “Before we get to Rio 2, — I’m hearing that he’s trying to strike up a little collabo with you.” Hathaway said that she hadn’t talked to her Rio 2 co-star yet, but she was “down” with the idea. “Down.” Somebody hold me.

Justin Timberlake says it was Michael Jackson who pushed him to go solo, Lance Bass doesn't recall

Justin Timberlake recently sat down for an intimate interview for OWN's Oprah Presents Master Class, and revealed that it was actually the King of Pop himself -- Michael Jackson -- that pushed him to go solo.

Timberlake recalls writing the 2001 'N Sync hit Gone for Michael, but when his team turned the slow jam down, 'N Sync cut the record instead.

"It was one of those songs where, it felt a little more personal to me, because I had written it for the biggest artist of all time," he smiles. "I guess Michael did hear it, and called me on the phone and said that he wanted to cut the record, but he wanted it to be a duet between himself and I. And I said, 'Well, it's already out, we've already cut the song as an 'N Sync record ... could we do, like, an 'N Sync featuring Michael Jackson, or Michael Jackson featuring 'N Sync?' And he was very absolute about the fact that he wanted it to be a duet between himself and I."

"I think it's the first idea that I ever got about doing something on my own because it was the first time I ever really felt the confidence to do it," he explained.

After a sung intro, the song breaks into a radio-ready hip-hop anthem that's at once unique and familiar, pairing a regal harpsichord with some hyperactive trap drums. It's an interesting sonic palette, and one that works well with the rappers' verses.

Lil Monsters unhappy that Washington concert could take back seat to NBA playoff

The Little Monsters found themselves pitted against the Washington Wizards on Monday, and the results were as surreal as you would imagine.

“I swear y’all better not postpone or cancel the lady gaga concert for a basketball game or you will have riots,” tweeted one Little Monster, as Lady Gaga fans are known, when a possible conflict emerged between a National Basketball Association playoff game and a Gaga show at Verizon Center on May 15.

“I don’t care who you are do not reschedule the Lady Gaga concert it will ruin your reputation trust me,” another fan wrote on Twitter.

“Fans are freaking out about it, cussing about it, screaming about it,” said Mark James, 19, when contacted by telephone. James was scheduled to fly from North Carolina to Washington the day before the concert. “It’s ridiculous.”

The NBA announced Saturday that if the Wizards and Indiana Pacers haven’t settled their best-of-seven second-round series before May 15, Game 6 would be played that night at Verizon Center. This isn’t a regular Washington concern in May; the long-suffering Wizards are in the second round of the NBA playoffs for just the second time since 1982.

7 (4) Things Friends Fans Still Argue About Ten Years Later

You said you'd always be there for us! It's in your damn theme song! But you went off the air ten years ago, which means you lied!

Oh, you mean there are Friends reruns on 12 different channels? Fine. You didn't leave us. But you did leave a hole in our heart that no sitcom has been able to fill. Happy Endings had the potential to be that sitcom until ABC decided to yank it from our grasp as well. Thanks for reminding us, Friends!

Well, it's ten years later and there are certain polarizing topics that Friends worshipers like ourselves still argue about. Were they on a break? Did anyone like Joey and Rachel together? And so on. Join in on the argument with these seven things Friends fans still fight over. Pick a side!

1. Were Ross and Rachel on a break?

The Rundown: After Rachel and Ross get into yet another fight over her work schedule, Rachel suggests "taking a break from us." Ross goes out with the guys, and when he calls Rachel to apologize, he hears her coworker Mark in the background. He then sleeps with the hot copy girl, Chloe, but the morning after Ross and Rachel get back together. When Rachel finds out about what Ross did, he thinks it shouldn't count because they were on a break.

Our Opinion: Whatever Rachel said regarding their current status is irrelevant, and there is no excuse for Ross sleeping with someone else after his lobster suggested taking a break. Not only did he honestly believe Rachel would be hooking up with Mark hours after their fight (she would never), but he kissed Chloe, brought her back to his apartment and had sex with her. At no point during those events did he think he should stop? Ross, you blew it.

Music Icon Natalie Merchant Returns With Her First Album Of New Material In 13 Years!

Natalie Merchant is in stores today.

Rolling Stone Interview:

In the thirteen years since her last album of original songs, Natalie Merchant got married, had a daughter and got divorced. So maybe it's not surprising that the lead single from Natalie Merchant, "Ladybird," has lyrics directed at a woman wondering whether she can fly away from her domestic life. A lilting lullaby for happier times, the song is vintage Merchant, who rose to fame in the Eighties as the lead singer of 10,000 Maniacs. We caught up with Merchant for a conversation about her music and her fondness for the utopian communities of upstate New York.

Why is the album self-titled?
I couldn't come up with a single word or short phrase that summed it up. The only thing that summed up the record was my singing and writing. Also, I had always wanted to call this album The Hunger Banquet, and then The Hunger Games happened. It's not fair! I've had that title for twenty years.

Michael Jordan: ‘I was racist against all white people’

Basketball legend Michael Jordan says that he considered himself a racist when he was a teenager and was “against all white people.”

The confession comes from a new book, Michael Jordan: The Life, by Ronald Lazenby, which was released overnight.

Jordan said the Ku Klux Klan was dominate in North Carolina where he grew up in the mid-seventies, buying uniforms for sports teams and bibles for schools.

Jordan took up baseball before basketball and was one of only two black children on the team. He says he was often told he was inferior,

Jordan says it was after watching the miniseries Roots, about the suffering of his African American ancestors, that he began to understand more about race relations.

In 1977, he remembers a girl at school calling him a n*****.

“So I threw a soda at her,” he says. “I was really rebelling. I considered myself a racist at the time. Basically, I was against all white people.” was suspended for the incident. During that time it was his mother who convinced him that he could not go through life consumed by racial hatred.

RHOA's Apollo Nida Pleads Guilty

Apollo Nida -- husband of "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Phaedra Parks -- has pleaded guilty in a massive money fraud scheme ... after allegedly stealing the identities of more than 50 people and laundering more than $2.3 million.

According to the US Attorneys' office, Feds pounced on Nida last year after he and a group of co-conspirators cashed tons of stolen U.S. Treasury checks, and checks from the Delta Airlines pension fund ... then laundered the money through bank accounts in the names of people whose IDs he also stole.

Feds claim Nida bilked even more cash by filing fake tax returns and obtaining bank loans against cars he didn't own.

He pled guilty Tuesday to conspiracy to commit mail, wire, and bank fraud. He'll be sentenced at a later date.

The sounds of Seinfeld: when cult comedy and music collides

Vampire Weekend singer Ezra Koenig has covered the iconic Seinfeld theme for a game called The Junior Mint. But it's not the first time musicians have paid tribute to the cult sitcom

The iconic Seinfeld "slap bass" – a sound which is in fact played on a keyboard – has been recreated by Vampire Weekend singer Ezra Koenig. The frontman's vocal-only version of the TV sitcom theme will be used, rather bizarrely, in a video game version of the episode The Junior Mint, in which players must pick either Jerry Seinfeld or Kramer to throw mints into a patient's open-surgery wound. You can listen to Koenig's theme here, but understand that if you leave the track on a loop for long enough you will almost certainly loose all sense of sanity.

Jennifer Lopez And Iggy Azalea Have Done a Song Together

Hopefully she makes it an official single soon. Her current single, “First Love,” is cute, but there’s no way it’ll have the same chart power that something with Iggy would.

Richard Ayoade Hosts Reddit AMA

Hello. I'm a writer, director, and then sometimes I'm in shows.

My latest film is called The Double, in theaters & on demand May 9, here's the trailer:

And general info:

Should we start or something? I don't know. Ask me anything.

Thanks very much everyone - I have to go now and have a protein shake with Bradley Cooper and if it's not mixed properly he'll put me in a choke hold. Hope you're all well and remember that if The Double doesn't sell more tickets than Titanic they take away my family and the bottom row of my teeth.

What year do you recall this picture of you, John Oliver and David Mitchell?
I'd say it would have to be in the first year I was at university because David was in the 3rd year when John and I arrived. So that must have been 1995? Good gravy.

Hi Richard! Big fan of your work (so far!). A yearly ritual for me and my father is watching the Big Fat Quiz of the Year, and you're by far our favourite contestant on there. My question is in relation to that show, when the audience, and celebrity counterparts are laughing at a joke you make, how do you maintain such a straight face, without even a smirk. Any secrets?
I think I last laughed in the mid-90s, as in there's something wrong with me

What was your relationship like with Chris O'dowd on the set of the I.T crowd?
Erotic, intense, salty

Emma Stone's interview for Seventeen Magazine (May 2014)

On dealing with haters…

“Sometimes it's really easy to shrug it off and other times, things have pinched more. I think most of us are like that, right? Someone lobs a snide remark your way, and sometimes you can laugh about it, while other times you can actually feel the sting. I'm actively working hard on learning to appreciate yourself no matter what. If what someone else says can easily derail you, it means your sense of self isn't that firmly established in the first place. It's an inside job. You're beautiful and worthy and totally unique. People insult each other based on their own insecurities—even though it may feel personal, it really never is. Really. Seriously.”

Don Lemon Defends SNL Writer: ‘She’s a Comedian, Not a Civil Rights Worker’

CNN's Don Lemon defended “Saturday Night Live” writer Leslie Jones’ jokes about slavery on “Weekend Update,” saying she “shouldn't have to carry the collective burden of black people on her shoulders.”

He also agreed with Jones that some African-Americans were overreacting.
“Leslie Jones responded by saying that black people were too sensitive sometimes,” he said. “In this case, she is right.”

Jones, who is six feet tall, joked during a routine that “back in the slave days” she would have been more sought after than Lupita Nyong'o. “I would be the number one slave draft pick,” she said.

Some on Twitter said the routine was offensive. Lemon disagreed.
“For almost all of last year, people were on a tear, complaining about diversity, asking where are the sisters on ‘SNL,'” he said. “And now that there are some on there, you complain about her material.”

He said she deserves the same freedom “the rest of the cast has — the freedom to learn. The freedom to grow. The freedom to make mistakes.”
“She shouldn't have to carry the collective burden of all black people on her shoulders. She's a comedian, not a civil rights worker,” he added.
“Leslie Jones, ignore the haters,” he concluded. “The loudest voices on Twitter aren't necessarily the majority. Do your thing. Kick ass and take names.”

James Franco interviews (and paints) Dane DeHaan for Interview Magazine

img-dane-_16441269689 - Copy

Self-confessed theater geek Dane DeHaan left his hometown of Allentown, Pennsylvania, while he was still in high school to study acting at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Television roles (on HBO's In Treatment and True Blood, among others) came quickly, and soon DeHaan was racking up an impressive roster of film credits. In a matter of just four years, he has worked with John Sayles (in the 2010 war saga Amigo), with John Hillcoat (across from Tom Hardy and Shia LaBeouf in 2012's Lawless), with Steven Spielberg (reciting the Gettysburg Address to the president in 2012's Lincoln), and with Derek Cianfrance (in 2012's The Place Beyond the Pines). In last year's Kill Your Darlings, he played Lucien Carr, a college friend of Jack Kerouac and Allen Ginsberg, who in 1944 murdered his admirer David Kammerer, and initially had his beatnik buddies help cover it up (Carr ultimately pled guilty to manslaughter and served 18 months at a reformatory).

Now 28, DeHaan again plays a real-life murder suspect (this time, Chris Morgan, a peripheral character in the West Memphis child murders), alongside Reese Witherspoon and Colin Firth, in director Atom Egoyan's Devil's Knot, about the West Memphis Three, out this month. He'll also appear in the little drama The Amazing Spider-Man 2 as Peter Parker's nemesis Harry Osborn—a playboy who morphs into the Green Goblin.

And for his next project, the young actor who has made a name playing troubled adolescents takes on his dream role, playing Mister Moody himself, James Dean, in Anton Corbijn's forthcoming Life (opposite Robert Pattinson, who plays photographer Dennis Stock). If this series of roles sounds somewhat familiar, we thought it did too. And so we asked James Franco, who broke out in 2001 as the lead in the TNT movie James Dean and played Osborn in the Tobey Maguire-era Spideys (as well as Allen Ginsberg in Howl, 2010), to give DeHaan a call. Franco, who is presently doing Of Mice and Men on Broadway, rang from Brooklyn to discover that DeHaan, who'd recently flown to New York from Toronto, was only a few blocks away.

10 (5) Ways Friends Gave You Unrealistic Expectations for Your Twenties

Hint: you won't have that apartment, that job or that many boyfriends. You probably don't have a monkey, and you definitely don't know how to cook.

High-waisted jeans are back in, and people still drink a lot of coffee — but that’s pretty much all our adult lives have in common with the poker-playing, apartment-swapping lives of the characters on Friends.

It’s been ten years since the series finale aired, and for those of us who spent hour upon hour watching the show, it’s still a bummer that our lives aren’t exactly like those of Rachel, Monica, Ross, Chandler, Phoebe and Joey. Adulthood was supposed to be about coordinated New Years’ dances, football games for troll trophies and songs about malodorous felines. Dating was supposed to be fun! (It’s not.)

Here are 10 lies Friends told you (and us) about life in our twenties:

Russia's President Vladimir Putin Bans Foul Language in Movies, Other Forms of Media

Russian President Vladimir Putin announced Monday that he has signed off on a ban of foul language across a wide array of media, including cinema, events, concerts, literature and theater, according to Russia’s state-run news agency ITAR-Tass.

Much of mat springs from a handful of base words, as David Remnick explains in the New Yorker. The big four are khuy (“cock”), pizda (“cunt”), ebat’ (“to fuck”), and blyad (“whore” or “bitch”)—and those words will be banned from movies, concerts, and theatre performances starting July 1.

Debra Messing shows off 20 pound weight loss in plunging black cocktail dress for awards luncheon

Debra Messing has a hot new body and she wants to show it off.

On Monday the 45-year-old actress looked lean in a flirty black cocktail dress with a plunging neckline and knee-length hem as she attended City Of Hope's Spirit Of Life luncheon in New York City.

In April the Will & Grace star told ABC News she had lost 20 pounds by replacing 'crappy foods' such as pizza and french fries with green vegetables.

The redhead was joined at the event, which took place inside The Plaza Hotel, by actress Jane Krakowski and Good Morning America host Amy Robach.

Designers Ken Kaufman and Isaac Franco were also in attendance.

Awards were given to 'women of distinction, women who triumph over life's tribulations whether personal or universal,' according to the City Of Hope website.

Fabulous in their forties: Messing was joined by Jane Krakowski; they're both 45-years-old

Messing has said she changed her diet three years ago.

'I made a very, very big change [to] the way I approach nutrition,' she explained. 'I think it made a big difference in how I look, or at least how I'm perceived to look.

'I lost like 20 pounds,' she continued. 'It wasn't my intention, that wasn't why I made the change. I made the change because I was just tired all the time. For a long time, I just accepted that was the plight of a working, single mother. You're juggling everyday.'
