“Hot Legs,” “Drop Dead Legs,” and (of course) ZZ Top‘s “Legs.” Yes, many odes have been written to honor those two things that keep us walking around. But now it’s time for that age-old question: Who has the greatest set of stems in the music business? VH1 is on the case, and the results may surprise you…JK, no it won’t. But everyone likes hot legs, right? Rihanna, Taylor Swift, and Miley Cyrus -all of your favorites are on the list!
From every day short shorts, to concert-worthy wardrobes, legs are a crucial to strutting your rock star status. From classic ladies like Cher and Tina Turner, to country ladies like Carrie Underwood, to kind of cray ladies like Lady Gaga and Katy Perry, all are rep’d, all are lovely,
1. Taylor Swift
2. Tina Turner
5. Miley Cyrus
When Lady Gaga proclaimed ‘‘I’m a power bottom!’’ in an interview promoting her latest LP ARTPOP, she sounded at best like an exceptionally self-aware sitcom fag hag, and at worst like a pandering dumbass. Stripped of their proper context, her words might seem a groan-worthy sound bite if there ever was one, but framed by the Zedd-assisted LoveGame-on-steroids G.U.Y., they are conferred unforeseen dimension. The release of this third single (whose initialed title stands for ‘Girl Under You’) happens at a moment where it is hard not to perceive Gaga’s brand of fizzy electronica and larger-than-life theatricality as pretty superfluous to the current pop climate. ARTPOP’s not-terrible but generally underwhelming sales and light radio presence confirmed just that. Not helping things at all was the shelving of a Terry Richardson-directed video for Do What U Want, a fantastic song done wrong by under the wire marketing and legal issues.
And yet, helmed by Gaga herself— her second directing credit following the similarly gonzo epic Marry The Night-- G.U.Y. proves to be a stunning ass music video. Sure, shooting roughly 80% of it at Hearst Castle tends to help with such things. But what strikes the fancy here isn’t at all the postcard prestige of a site on the National Register of Historic Places, but rather how well-kneaded the Lady’s grab-bag of crazy, incongruous references reveal themselves, and how shrewdly they fill up the grandiose décor. Whereas her contemporaries and even herself in past have been heavily reliant on two-dimensional soundstages as music video backdrops (the brain-dead cartoon Ancient Egypt scenery of Katy Perry’s recent hit Dark Horse comes to mind), here the immersive Hearst Castle property is simultaneously inhabited by Gaga’s mythology in arts 101 class imagery, modern day ‘low culture’ signifiers like Minecraft or TV’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, nods to contemporary artists such as Nathan Sawaya and the iconic figures of Gandhi, Michael Jackson & John Lennon.

ONTD, what is your favorite part of the G.U.Y. film?
It is one of the world's most famous musicals.
But Michelle Williams seemed to have passed the challenge of her first ever night on Broadway with flying colours as she took a bow at the end of her performance of Cabaret. The blonde wore a look of smug satisfaction as she addressed the crowd at the end of her thrilling performance.

One Direction are filming on Clevedon Pier, with rumours circulating yesterday apparently confirmed by the sighting of Liam Payne and Harry Styles in the North Somerset town.
Their film crew were on the pier yesterday preparing for today's arrival of the five band members. The wrought iron gates at the entrance to the pier have also been blacked out.
BBC editor Neil Bennett wrote on Twitter that Harry and Liam had been spotted in the town, where dozens of young fans have been eagerly waiting to catch a glimpse of their idols.

RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) – GWAR founder and vocalist Dave Brockie was found dead in his Richmond home Sunday.
Brockie’s friend and former GWAR member Chris Bopst confirmed the death to CBS 6 producer Chris Westfall. Richmond Police also confirmed Brockie’s death.
“At approximately 6:53 p.m. on Sunday, Richmond Police were called to a residence in the 4800 block of West Seminary Avenue for a report of a deceased individual,” Richmond Police spokeswoman Dionne Waugh wrote in an email. “When officers arrived, they found David M. Brockie, 50, deceased inside the home.”
Detectives do not suspect foul play at this time, she added. The Medical Examiner’s Office will determine Brockie’s cause of death.
“My main focus right now is to look after my band mates and his family,” GWAR manager Jack Flanagan said in a statement. “More information regarding his death shall be released as the details are confirmed.”
Brockie’s death was first reported by Style Weekly.
Founded in the 1980s by Brockie and fellow VCU art students, GWAR gained international fame for its brand of heavy metal music and outrageous stage show.
As part of the act, GWAR members created their own gory costumes and wild personas.
“Anyone who has seen GWAR knows it’s an adult comedy rock musical,” Brockie told CBS 6 reporter Mark Holmberg in 2011.
GWAR was nominated for the Best Long Form Music Video Grammy award in 1993, but lost to Annie Lennox. GWAR was nominated for Best Metal Performance in 1995, but lost to Nine Inch Nails.

Move over, Miley Cyrus! As far as shock tactics go, Taylor Momsen still reigns supreme. The Pretty Reckless frontwoman pulled a Sky Ferreira by stripping naked for the cover of sophomore set Going To Hell and posed for an even more controversial pic during the photo shoot.
The 20-year-old rocker/Gossip Girl alum poses completely nude in the image with only a painted cross covering her body. The cross also has an arrow pointing straight to her vagina. Classy. At least the imagery is relevant to the girl-gone-extremely-wild theme of Going To Hell. And like Miley and Sky, she seems to be the one calling the shots. So, yay? See the NSFW pic after the jump.

With the introduction of Selene (Kate Beckinsale) and Michael Corvin’s (Scott Speedman) hybrid daughter, Eve (India Eisley), in the 2012 Underworld: Awakening, Screen Gems passed the torch to another star in hopes of continuing the franchise.
After a decade-long battle between vampires and werewolves, like it or not, the Underworld franchise is legit. After four successful films, I’m told by my studio Intel that Screen Gems is actively developing the fifth, currently titled Underworld: Next Generation.
While the title could change by the time they go into production, right now they’re seeking a writer and director for the fifth film, although Len Wiseman remains producer. It’s also unclear what direction they will be going as Beckinsale is not attached yet, officially. Hence the title, Next Generation, it’s implied that the new film will follow Eve as the film’s protagonist.
Again, since a director and writer have yet to be assigned, things could change. But in the early stages of development, this is where the studio hopes to take the franchise come 2015.
I love these stupid movies sfm. I hope Kate at least makes an appearance.
I need them to make a comeback now.

Jennifer Lopez will receive the Vanguard Award at the GLAAD Media Awards.
The singer and actress will be presented with the honour, which is given to "artists and media professionals who, through their work, have increased the visibility and understanding of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community" at a ceremony in Los Angeles next month. One of the reasons Lopez was chosen for the accolade by the gay rights organisation is for her role as a producer on "The Fosters," a TV series about a lesbian couple raising a family of biological, adopted and foster children.
Sarah Kate Ellis, president of GLAAD, said: "Through her work to bring 'The Fosters' to life and by consistently speaking out as a powerful ally, Jennifer Lopez has not only sent a message of acceptance to LGBT adults and young people, but inspired new support for our community among her many fans around the globe."
"Family is about love, and that's a message Jennifer has shared with millions through her groundbreaking work on 'The Fosters'."
Jennifer -- who has six-year-old twins Max and Emme with third husband Marc Anthony -- is a big supporter of marriage equality.
She said: "When it comes to gay marriage, I just believe in love," she said. "I believe that when two people find each other and love each other, they should be able to spend their lives together with all the same benefits and privileges as everyone."
Previous recipients of the Vanguard Award include Josh Hutcherson, Janet Jackson, Drew Barrymoore, Antonio Banderas, Kristin Chenoweth, Whoopi Goldberg, Eric McCormack, Liza Minnelli, Sharon Stone and Elizabeth Taylor.
The 25th annual GLAAD Media Awards take place April 12 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

The “Morning Joe” co-host warned “we have to report on what we know” and slammed speculating on any unsubstantiated theories about the missing Malaysian plane
Mika Brzezinski put the kibosh on MSNBC reporting on Malaysian plane conspiracy theories ala CNN on Monday's “Morning Joe.”
“Right now, we have to report on what we know!” Brzezinski insisted as Joe Scarborough speculated the plane could be somewhere other than the Indian Ocean.
CNN's “New Day” has beaten “Morning Joe” in the ratings for the past six consecutive days with its wall-to-wall coverage of the missing Malaysian plane. “New Day” co-host Chris Cuomo earlier defended his network's coverage by saying it's their job to “have more questions than there are answers, because simply not enough is known. So if it seems like we're nibbling around the edges, it's because we are.”
“Can we go to news school for a second please?” Brzezinski said. “That's last week's question and the theories are for later in the show and I'll tell you why…”

It's been less than a year since Kaley Cuoco met, started dating, got engaged to, and finally married tennis pro Ryan Sweeting, but already the Big Bang Theory actress has made another permanent commitment to their love, in addition to that whole getting married thing.
The 28-year-old tattooed her wedding date in between her shoulder blades in three rows of large Roman numerals. The numbers read 12-31-13 to represent the couple's New Year's Eve nuptials. The body art was on display at a charity tennis event in Calabasas, Calif. on Saturday, March 22.
As previously reported, the pair married in Southern California after a four-month engagement. Cuoco wore a petal-pink Vera Wang gown, and they celebrated with celebrity pals like Cuoco's CBS costar Johnny Galecki (whom she secretly dated for two years) and Bachelorette alum Ali Fedotowsky.
The sitcom star's fresh ink is almost identical to Sweeting's tattoo on his wrist, right next to the name "Kaley" in a giant cursive script. And Cuoco has acknowledged multiple times that her whirlwind romance isn't a traditional route.
"I know that it seems a little crazy on paper," she admitted to ET after her engagement in September 2013. "But it's what works for us. From day one I just knew immediately and it's been magic.

Awards season in Hollywood is just about hotting up, with the Oscars having concluded last week. Close on the heels of the most prestigious awards show on the planet, comes another American film and TV award shows, the MTV Movie Awards being one of them.
Among the list of nominees across several categories, the Best Actor and Best Actress category seem like a rejig of Oscar contenders like Matthew McConaughey, Lupita Nyong’o and Leonardo DiCaprio. Competing for best film will be Oscar winner 12 Years A Slave, which will face stiff competition from films like The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, The Wolf of Wall Street, American Hustle, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.
Interestingly, the best kiss category already has a clear favorite: Amy Adams and Jennifer Lawrence‘s intense smooch in the flick American Hustle. For best shirtless performance, Jennifer Aniston from We’re the Millers will vie with DiCaprio in The Wolf of Wall Street.
Fans will get a chance to choose among their favourite stars, and vote for their favourite celebrities, in wacky categories like Best-Scared-As-Sh*t performance, Best Shirtless performance, WTF Moment, Best Comedic performance and many others.
The MTV Movie Awards will be hosted by Conan O’Brien, and will be aired live on April 13 from Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre. Also playing the role of presenters will be Hollywood bigwigs like Adrian Grenner, Cameron Diaz, Kevin Dillon, Kate Upton and Kevin Connolly.

When she hit the scene in 2008, Lady GaGa credited ‘Lonely’ singer Akon for being instrumental in her rise from underground artiste to chart-scorching debutante.
Joined at the hip during the promotional campaign for her debut album ‘The Fame‘ and its lead single ‘Just Dance’, the years that followed saw the ‘Konvict‘ creator fade into this distance as the ‘Paparazzi’ singer became the global force we now know her to be today.
This week, Akon has detailed the demise of their business relationship, explaining why he ‘sold his share’ once he believed she had peaked.

I mean, damn.
If you’ve been paying attention to Lady Gaga’s vomit-centric performance art and industry-bashing interview technique lately, you might be wondering whether she much cares about having the universal appeal of a popstar any more. After a break from the spotlight to recover from over-exertion on her last tour – resulting in three screws in her hip and four months in a wheelchair – she seems to have had some time to reflect on what she wants out of this whole music business, and as a result, she’s acting even weirder than ever.
In her keynote interview at SXSW this month, Gaga explained the frustration that led to the “creative, rebellious” spirit of ARTPOP: “I never really liked having my skirt measured for me in school, or (being) told how to do things or the rules to play by. And you know, as you become more successful they start to push the rulebook closer and closer to you. ‘Now you’re here, so how are you going to maintain it?’ And really what ARTPOP is all about is how the truest way for us to maintain the music industry is to put all of the power back into the hands of the artists.” She also criticised new artists who use attention-grabbing gimmicks on social media to get ahead rather than putting themselves out there in live venues.
There’s plenty of room for cynicism in how we swallow this anti-industry diatribe from one of the world’s biggest popstars: wasn’t she paid a healthy sum by Doritos to go to SXSW and perform in the first place? Doesn’t she have one of the biggest Twitter followings in existence – and didn’t she use that following to develop the global fan community of Little Monsters she’s known for? With a chameleon like Gaga it might be easy to believe that her statements are yet another fad or excuse to act bizarrely for headlines – but “G.U.Y.”, the new video (or ARTPOP Film) released this weekend, reinforces her whole stance in a way that’s as nuanced as it is flamboyant, presenting the most opulent, popstar-like argument imaginable for not being one of the world’s most successful popstars and being pretty okay with that.
At SXSW, Gaga described the film as being about “freeing yourself from the expectations of the music industry, and the expectations of the status quo.” In the opening sequence, Gaga (dressed as a phoenix) has been trampled into the ground and shot with an arrow by literally money-grabbing men in suits. After staggering to the safety of her castle and being reborn in a pool to the tune of album track “Venus”, she proceeds to have an orgy of creative expression within her own palatial home while plotting revenge on the suits.

1.) What advice would you give to someone that is struggling coming out to their friends and family?
Have courage. Know that you deserve to be treated with love and respect by the people around you, and don’t accept anything less. Most importantly have love and respect for yourself. You’re fine just the way you are, thank you very much!
I’m sure it can be a daunting step to take, and there are many excellent organisations that can provide advice and support; Stonewall and the Lesbian & Gay Switchboard to name a few. If you’re concerned about a hostile reaction from family, then get in touch with a charity called The Albert Kennedy Trust. Left to right: Playboy's 2012 Playmate of the Year Jaclyn Swedberg, Pitbull, Playboy's 2013 Playmate of the Year Raquel Pomplun
Playboy Enterprises, Inc. announced today that the company has entered into a strategic partnership with global music superstar Pitbull. The relationship, designed as a creative cross-pollination between the worlds of Pitbull and Playboy, will feature a variety of content, experience, and product-related initiatives. The first example is the upcoming video supporting the performer's new hit single "Wild Wild Love," featuring G.R.L., which was shot at the legendary Playboy Mansion in Holmby Hills, California earlier this month.
Pitbull (aka Armando Christian Perez) has sold more than five million albums and 50 million singles worldwide, achieving Number One status in more than 15 countries around the world. Across his various social media platforms, Pitbull drives more than one billion global media impressions every month.
"We're bringing new energy and enthusiasm to the iconic Playboy brand in our 60th year," said Playboy CEO Scott Flanders. "Throughout our history we've collaborated with artists and cultural tastemakers who both embody the Playboy lifestyle and interpret it in their own images. Today we're taking a big step in re-interpreting our enduring brand for a new generation by welcoming Armando into the fold. His magnetic energy, charisma and style combined with his clear talent as an entrepreneur exemplify the aspirational lifestyle that defines our brand. We're looking forward to doing some great things together."
"In order to become an iconic brand you have to partner up with one. What's more iconic than Playboy?" says Mr. Perez. "It's an honor to partner with Playboy Enterprises – 'Ladies and Gentlemen you are looking at the new Playboy, Armando Christian Perez.' Thank you Hef, Scott and the entire Playboy team. Dale!"
The choice of the historic Playboy Mansion as the setting for the "Wild Wild Love" video provides an early glimpse of the synergies expected to emerge from the partnership. The landscape of opportunities in development span Pitbull's touring and appearance schedule, performances and appearances at Playboy events, new content across a variety of media including Playboy Magazine and digital properties, and more to be unveiled in the coming months.

Chilean filmmaker Pablo Larraín (“No”) is in negotiations to direct the new “Scarface” movie for Universal Pictures and Marc Shmuger's Global Produce, TheWrap has learned.
“Scarface” will reimagine the core immigrant story told in both the 1932 and 1983 films. Universal's update will be an original story set in modern day Los Angeles that follows a Mexican immigrant's rise in the criminal underworld as he strives for the American Dream.
Two-time Oscar nominee Paul Attanasio (“Donnie Brasco”) wrote the current draft of the screenplay.
Marc Shmuger, who won this year's PGA Award for Best Documentary (“We Steal Secrets”), is producing the film under his Global Produce banner along with Marty Bregman, who produced the 1983 movie.
The filmmakers plan to cast an authentic Latino who is bilingual and bicultural as the lead character, whose name will be Tony, though his last name won't be Camonte (1932) or Montana (1983). While Oscar Isaac, Edgar Ramirez and Michael Pena rank among Hollywood's top Latino stars who are age-appropriate for the role, the producers are also open to casting a complete unknown in the name of authenticity.

I'm really excited about this. Larraín is a good director and I trust that this isn't going to end up being messy (hopefully).
Mods Larraín's "NO" was nominated last year to the Oscars
Fox 2000 will release director Josh Boone’s adaptation of the John Green novel The Fault in Our Stars this June, but the studio is already putting together an adaptation of another John Green book with much of the same team from Fault. Deadline reports that the studio has optioned Green’s 2008 novel Paper Towns, which will be developed as a star vehicle for Fault in Our Stars co-star Nat Wolff (Admission), with Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber returning as screenwriters and Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen back to produce. The story follows a young man who wakes up one night to find his neighbor Margo dressed as a ninja, asking him to help her get revenge on the people who have hurt her. She disappears the next day, but the man subsequently begins to receive clues from her that he must follow.
Buzz is high for Fault and Neustadter and Weber are on a roll as of late, following up (500) Days of Summer with last year’s swell The Spectacular Now. A director for Paper Towns has yet to be set, but the project will be built around Wolff. Hit the jump to read a synopsis for Green’s novel.
Here’s a synopsis for Paper Towns:
When Margo Roth Spiegelman beckons Quentin Jacobsen in the middle of the night—dressed like a ninja and plotting an ingenious campaign of revenge—he follows her. Margo’s always planned extravagantly, and, until now, she’s always planned solo. After a lifetime of loving Margo from afar, things are finally looking up for Q . . . until day breaks and she has vanished. Always an enigma, Margo has now become a mystery. But there are clues.
And they’re for Q.

US president Barack Obama has paid a lightning visit to Amsterdam ahead of the Nuclear Security Summit in The Hague.
The president arrived in the Dutch capital by helicopter at 09.30 and was given a tour of the Rijksmuseum, accompanied by prime minister Mark Rutte and the city's mayor Eberhard van der Laan.
I'm so happy he's here and I don't know why.
Ugh at Rutte..
"I'm just going to try a bunch of shit on," Carrie Brownstein says. On an icy February afternoon in Manhattan, the co-star of IFC's sketch-comedy series Portlandia has just ducked into a brightly lit Opening Ceremony boutique in search of an outfit for a New York Fashion Week event that night. "I like to go to other cities because I can dress up," she says, eyeing a stylish black blazer with blue and white checks. "I live in a city where fleece is considered an appropriate fabric for any event."
Jokes like this have made Portlandia, which co-stars Saturday Night Live alum Fred Armisen and returned for a fourth season in February, into one of basic cable's biggest hits. Last season, 3.7 million total viewers tuned in to see Brownstein and Armisen make fun of her crunchy, quirky Oregonian neighbors. "I almost feel like Portland closets are this magical cupboard where you put in a normal piece of clothing and you open it later and it's turned into outdoor wear," she continues as she appraises a Nehru jacket. "If I put on high heels or a dress there – if I look better than when I got out of bed – it feels conspicuous."

As Hollywood mourns James Rebhorn, who played the father of Claire Danes' troubled CIA officer Carrie Mathison on the Showtime drama Homeland, the veteran character actor said farewell in his own words by writing his obituary himself.
Rebhorn, who died from melanoma on Friday, was inspired to write the personal obit by his final theater performance, his agent, Dianne Busch, confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter.
The last play that Rebhorn was in at the Roundabout Theatre in New York City included a character who didn't care for the obituaries that usually appear in newspapers, so she wrote her own, Busch told THR, then Jim decided to work on his.

Chris Evans does not take umbrage when I tell him he has movie-star anonymity. By which I mean, he may be a leading man in a superhero franchise that generates vast mountain ranges of cash, but whatever innate charisma is beloved by the camera seems less obvious in person, where he comes across as a regular, affable guy – albeit one who spends an inordinate amount of time in the gym. "Good," he says. "That's the goal. You want to strike that happy medium: the balance of being able to find creative satisfaction in your profession, be able to afford a roof over your head but still have the freedom to live a relatively normal life." But when the prospect of playing Captain America in Marvel's huge interlocking movie universe became a possibility, Evans, 32, had qualms. "There was big apprehension on my part whether or not to do the movie. It was a six-picture deal and the problem is, if one of these pictures is a big success and it changes your life, you may not cope with it as well as you expected. There certainly was some fear involved initially. But then you just think, 'If that's what I'm scared of, maybe that's exactly what I should do', and, in retrospect, God, I'd be kicking myself if I hadn't done it."
Although Boston-born Evans has played Captain America in both the character's own film (retitled The First Avenger in some territories) and The Avengers (confusingly, called Avengers Assemble in the UK), as well having a cameo in Thor: The Dark World, there was a sense that the earnest unfrozen super-soldier was portrayed as the butt of the joke. All that changes with Captain America: The Winter Solider. This is the most perfectly executed and purely entertaining Marvel production since the first Iron Man. A big chunk of credit goes to the movie's sibling director team, Joe and Anthony Russo, who seem like they've compiled a list of all the genres they ever wanted to tackle – conspiracy, martial arts, political thriller, buddy movie – and thrown them into one film. But Evans is up to every challenge hurled at him. Shrugging off the burden of being the confused do-gooder of the previous films, he trades blows with real-life UFC killing machine George St-Pierre in a bone-crunchingly convincing fight. He goes toe-to-toe with Robert Redford who – no spoilers, obviously – may have something to do with SHIELD becoming a little too overzealous in the methods they employ to protect the world. And he trades barbs and disapproving glares with Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow, who you will want to see in her own movie after this.

In between shifts as a part-time racecourse barman Harry Craig, 23, has posed for a number of publications featuring nude and fetish images and 'non mainstream' models.
In an online profile he describes himself as an '...alternative model from Shropshire, UK with a fondness of Guinness, Victorian Gothic, Heavy Metal bands from the 70s and 80s, Chesterfield armchairs (Wingbacks) and log fires.'
The privately-educated younger Mr Craig lives with his and Daniel’s father Tim.
He poses in the pictures wearing string vests, leather and chains. He can also be seen snarling at the camera from underneath his strawberry blonde hair, sitting apparently naked astride a backwards chair, while smoking a cigar and wearing a bowler hat. (picture under the cut)

Note to Christians and those who believe the Bible: The producer of the movie “Noah,” a self-professed atheist, says he is proud of the fact that he’s taken a story inspired by God’s word and turned it into something so secular.
Director Darren Aronofsky called his movie “the least biblical biblical film ever made,” The Telegraph reported. He also claimed his leading character, Noah, was the “first environmentalist,” something that suggests the movie storyline doesn’t exactly follow the Bible’s.
And something else the suggests a serious divergence from the biblical account: Not once during the movie is the name “God” spoken, an early reviewer found, The Telegraph reported.

Louis Theroux is tall — two or three inches over 6ft — dark and handsome. He has stubble, which he keeps neat with a beard-trimmer, and is living in LA, with a tan to match. But he’s also a self-confessed nerd.
“If nerd was a diagnosis in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual [of Mental Disorders] you would check off…” He mentally starts counting. “No, not all of them — I’m not that good with computers. But I’ve got glasses, I’m not terribly sporty, I’m socially slightly awkward. So I do have those indicators.”
