Courtney Love's Twibel nemesis stays pressed, calls her a "phenomenal actress"

Courtney Love is a lot of things — famous grunge widow, tabloid darling, runaway celebrity train wreck. But as San Diego attorney Rhonda Holmes found out, Love is not a Twitter defamer. Not legally, anyway. And while it’s been nearly two decades since her Golden Globe-nominated performance in “The People Vs. Larry Flynt,” Love is no acting slouch, either.

“She was very smart. That is the one thing that I was drawn to,” Holmes, 48, said of her former client. “And from what I can see from the way she testified and the fact that she was nominated for a Golden Globe, she is a phenomenal actress.”

The 2014 Grammy’s: Open Letter from India Arie

@Kendricklamar WAS robbed, BUT he was not the only one who was robbed. Personally, I was pleased he was able to perform and they KILLED! IT! One of the FEW moving moments of the night for ME.

Though it’s called “Music industries biggest night” the #Grammys are NOT about the music, it’s a popularity contest. The voting process allows people, to vote on name recognition alone - the music industry politics is a whole NUTHER conversation. Too much to go into here.

The American Music Awards is a show that awards sales and popularity - the #Grammys are SAID to be about the music.

If the hip hop community voted on hip hop - r&b COMMUNITY the same - same for each category - we’d see winners that reflect the MUSIC ITSELF. We all know that’s just not the way it goes.

NOW the BIGGER losers, are ALL of black music. Where was the black music community represented in last nights #Grammy show? Performers and Winners (or not) … Where were the black artists?

Hey Mod the source was there all along, under x!!!! in the cut you

Macklemore Calls Beating Kendrick 'Blessing And Curse' In First Post-Grammy Interview

Macklemore was well aware that hip-hop fans would be upset if he took home the trophy for Best Rap Album at Sunday night's Grammy Awards, but he wants to make it clear that he agrees with you on this much: "K. Dot got robbed."

Weeks before the awards show aired, Macklemore predicted that "hip-hop is going to be heated" if The Heist edged out good kid, m.A.A.d city, so when it happened last night, he was prepared for what would come next. Post-show, he shared the apologetic text message that he sent to Kendrick, and on Monday he phoned into Hot 97's morning show to elaborate even further.

"Try being the guy that won that award. It's the blessing and the curse, but a little more of the curse," Macklemore said, explaining that he was concerned when the nominations were originally announced.

The 'power brow' shows no sign of falling out of fashion thanks to Cara Delevingne.

According to a cosmetic surgery group the bushy-browed supermodel has inspired a massive increase in the number of women looking to fill in their sparse eyebrows with a transplant.

New stats from Transform reveal that they have seen enquiries about eyebrow transplants - which cost about £1,500 - increase by 45 per cent since 2010.

The average age of those enquiring is 30, and the group report that 70 per cent of callers admit they have previously over-plucked.

Pete Seeger, Songwriter and Champion of Folk Music, Dies at 94

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Pete Seeger, the singer, folk-song collector and songwriter who spearheaded an American folk revival and spent a long career championing folk music as both a vital heritage and a catalyst for social change, died Monday. He was 94 and lived in Beacon, N.Y.

His death was confirmed by his grandson, Kitama Cahill Jackson, who said he died of natural causes at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital.

Mr. Seeger’s career carried him from singing at labor rallies to the Top 10 to college auditoriums to folk festivals, and from a conviction for contempt of Congress (after defying the House Un-American Activities Committee in the 1950s) to performing on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial at an inaugural concert for Barack Obama.

For Mr. Seeger, folk music and a sense of community were inseparable, and where he saw a community, he saw the possibility of political action.

In his hearty tenor, Mr. Seeger, a beanpole of a man who most often played 12-string guitar or five-string banjo, sang topical songs and children’s songs, humorous tunes and earnest anthems, always encouraging listeners to join in. His agenda paralleled the concerns of the American left: He sang for the labor movement in the 1940s and 1950s, for civil rights marches and anti-Vietnam War rallies in the 1960s, and for environmental and antiwar causes in the 1970s and beyond. “We Shall Overcome,” which Mr. Seeger adapted from old spirituals, became a civil rights anthem.

Music Video Premiere: 'My Baby' - Zendaya

Zendaya Goes Hip-Hop Chic in ‘My Baby’ Video

Zendaya has unveiled the music video for her urban-pop track, “My Baby,” on Monday, and the visual for the Bobby Brackins and Nic Nac-produced song finds the Disney Channel star doing what she does best: slaying the swagger game. The Stephen Garnett-directed video simply features the 17-year-old singing the infectious R&B-heavy lyrics to the camera as she pulls off a few wardrobe changes — showing off her style and ease.

The “Replay” singer becomes a hip-hop princess as she dons several street-wear looks, including a Diamond Supply Co snapback with teal lipstick, and vamps it up in a sheer-black cloak while showing off her talon nails. The former Shake It Up! star even pays homage to Oakland, California — her hometown — by sporting a Raiders jersey. “My Baby,” which also received a hip-hop makeover by Ty Dolla $ign, Bobby Brackings, and Iamsu, is a song off her self-titled debut album, available on iTunes now. What are your thoughts on Zendaya’s newest music video?

Anna Paquin cut out of 'X-Men: Days of Future Past,' but appears on promotional magazine covers

It's almost as if they're rubbing salt in an open wound. Though director Bryan Singer has confirmed that Anna Paquin was cut from "X-Men: Days of Future Past," she still appears on a collectible Empire magazine cover for the movie.

The "True Blood/X-MEN" star is in character as Rogue on the cover, one of 25 being released for the movie. When asked if that means she'll be appearing after all, the magazine tweets, "For those asking if our Rogue cover means Rogue is in the movie, a definitive statement from Bryan Singer and Simon Kinberg is in the issue."

Don't get your hopes up, though. Rogue was only set to appear in one scene in the film and it "had to go," according to Singer. Chances are promotional materials for "Days of Future Past" were set long before the movie's editing process was done.

In other news, Bryan Singer and Anna Paquin are set to co-chair this year Elton John AIDS Foundation 22nd Annual Academy Awards Viewing Party.

"X-Men: Days of Future Past" is set for theaters May 23.

According to Deadline, Ritchie is considering an idea spawned by writer Joby Harold that would spin the story across no less than six fantasy films, and has written the first script.

the KING talks about his second grammy

The Comedy Channel host won the Grammy award for best spoken word album on Sunday: "It is like the Nobel prize of audiobooks," he boasted.

Stephen Colbert added "Grammy winner" to his list of credentials on Sunday, and the Comedy Central host was quick to brag about it on his show.

The Colbert Report star took home the award for best spoken word album for the audiobook of America Again: Re-becoming the Greatness We Never Weren't, and was sure to let viewers know it during Monday's episode.

After congratulating some of the big winners of the night, including Paul McCartney, Vampire Weekend and Daft Punk, and revealing, "I gave them all 'the Colbert bump,' " the political satirist and comedian went on to announce: "I am most proud of my best friend of the show -- me. Whoa!!!!!!"
"Do you understand what it means to win the Grammy for best spoken word album? It is like the Nobel prize of audiobooks...that means I am the world's best speaker.
"I am so good at speaking words, I should get paid for speaking words," he joked.

"With this, my second Grammy, I have finally got an Emmy, a Grammy, an 'Other Grammy' and the People's Choice Award," he said, referring to his 2010 best comedy album win for A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift of All!
Colbert went to make fun of the award itself, telling viewers, "The Recording Academy is very particular about how you hold these things," explaining that the gramophone faces left.

"That is so you can see the plaque, and also the other side has visible genitalia. I assume that is how they make other Grammys," he quipped.
Earlier in Monday's episode, Colbert mocked the white tuxedo Madonna wore on the 56th Annual Grammy Awards, comparing the Material Girl to KFC's Colonel Sanders.
"I don't know about you, but Madonna's entrance gave me the urge to eat a bucket of fried chicken," he said.

Eyes darting once more to ensure that they are truly in a cone of confidence, the other replies, overwhelmed to have found a kindred spirit: “I actually thought it was bad, too!”

Moesha's Marcus T. Paulk Avoids Jail In Domestic Battery Case

Paulk was arrested last August when he and his girlfriend got into a physical confrontation that ended with him allegedly kicking and punching her in the gut.

According to court docs, Marcus plead no contest to one count of battery, and got 4 other charges dropped. As part of the deal, he must enroll in a year-long domestic violence treatment program.

The deal also includes a protective order for Marcus to stay 100 yards away from his now ex-girlfriend.

Marcus T. Paulk's girlfriend, a singer named Andi Roxx, claims it all started at a nightclub in Beverly Hills called Confidential. She and Paulk had gotten into a verbal argument because he said she wasn't paying him enough attention.

When they went home, Roxx says the fight got physical and Paulk punched her in the chin. She says she swung back and busted open his lip. He then punched her again in the stomach and told her to get her stuff and get out. She claims he also kicked her in the stomach.

The next morning, Roxx says she went to the hospital with internal injuries.
Law enforcement sources say police responded to the hospital soon after, where Roxx told them what happened. Police later made contact with Paulk himself and his attorney arranged for Paulk to turn himself in.

Screenwriter Robert B. Weide: The Woody Allen Allegations- Not So Fast

Twenty-one years after the first allegations that Woody Allen abused his adopted daughter, that incident is back in the news thanks to the director’s ex-partner, Mia Farrow, and estranged son, Ronan Farrow. But what does a closer examination reveal?
As anyone with access to a computer knows, Woody Allen has been pilloried of late across the internet, over allegations that 21 years ago, he molested the daughter he and Mia Farrow adopted in 1985. Countless people have weighed in on this, many of them without the slightest idea of what the facts are in this matter. I consider myself allergic to gossip and tabloids, and go out of my way to avoid them. So when a celebrity is being devoured by the two-headed piranha of gossip and innuendo, I usually have minimal understanding of what they did, or were alleged to have done. Woody Allen is an exception.

In fact, her support of Polanski is so steadfast that when he won the Oscar for best director for his 2002 masterpiece, The Pianist, Mia never even suggested that the Motion Picture Academy showed contempt for all abuse survivors in so honoring him. One Direction books unprecedented third night at the Rose Bowl

For boy band One Direction, the iconic Rose Bowl stadium has “got that one thing” to keep them coming back for more.

The band announced an unprecedented third night in its “Where We Are Tour” at the stadium Monday for a three-night concert series in September. No other music group has performed three nights straight at the Rose Bowl, CEO and General Manager Darryl Dunn said.

“It’s really amazing. If you think about the history of the Rose Bowl that this is the first band ever the play three nights in our stadium in the 90 plus years of this place,” Dunn said. “It will be a lot of excitement in all of Pasadena for the One Direction days in September.”

The shows, on Sept. 11-13, are expected to generate close to $1 million for the stadium, which is still buried under a mountain of debt after a costly renovation.

“This is truly historic. No artist has played three nights at Rose Bowl Stadium before. That speaks to One Direction’s tremendous impact right now,” said Rich Best, Executive Vice President of Booking for Live Nation/Southern California-Las Vegas. “It also reinforces the Rose Bowl’s status as a go-to venue for major shows. Concerts on this scale call for the infrastructure and expertise that the Rose Bowl is known for in the live-event industry.”

Tickets for the Sept. 11 show will go on sale Feb. 8 at 10 a.m. at livenation.com.

Michael B. Jordan on Doing Comedy: 'I Was Tired of Dying'

Focus Features’ latest movie, “That Awkward Moment,” looks to shed some light on the male perspective of relationships. At the Jan. 27 premiere at L.A. Live, writer and director Tom Gormican wanted to set the record straight.

“I think [the male perspective] is underrepresented,” Gormican said. “What I hope the movie gets across is that guys and girls deal with relationship scenarios in very much the same way.”

“I was tired of dying,” Jordan joked about his transition into the lighthearted comedy. “I was doing a lot of dramas, and I wanted to switch things up a little bit, and this was the opportunity to do it.”

“I’m lucky enough to where I do have an appetite for both and people want to cast me in both,” Teller said. “I just love both. It’s like my own appetite. If I do one thing too much I have to switch it up.”

“I had a mission in Cannes to get Zac to read this script because I really thought ‘I’m in my twenties, Zac’s in his twenties.’ This film has a lot to do with kind of us growing up.’”

Blind Items + Reveals

1. This forever A list singer/celebrity was trying to explain her vision for a new music video. She spent eight hours the night before shooting explaining her vision to the director and several hours more the morning of the shoot. When she tried to talk about her vision to her guest on the song he said f**k that I have some place to be in an hour. Let the cameras roll.

2. This dance pop group made their name by opening for a very religious top 40 band. That is the reason the lead singer of the dance pop group swears he is a straight. The various guys he was trying to tongue f**k last night at parties would disagree.

3. Last week I was enjoying a bourbon or three at a favored watering hole when a game began of who is the craziest celebrity family. The obvious suspects were discussed but quickly discarded when the topic turned to this family. It is unusual because the celebrity is the mother with an ever changing cast of characters who play the part of her male significant other. It's like they rotate in for a year or two and before you know it there is someone else. She was huge back in the day. She is aging but not old and at the peak of her fame was A+. People were talking EGOT for her. Number one movies and songs and a career that no one ever thought would die. It is flickering but mainly because she is just so crazy and so difficult to work with. She goes back and forth between men and women as her partner but only the men are seen in public. She is the biggest diva on the planet when she is on a film set. She makes constant demands and then changes them when they are fulfilled. She talks to herself all the time and there are rumors she has disposed of people close to her. She has child(ren). The child(ren) turned out as messed up as you would expect and the fights between parent and child(ren) have been spectacular which is usually fueled by drugs often taken by both of them at the same time. The mom doesn't think she has a drug problem but does. The child(ren) has/have since early teenage teenage years.

'Duck Dynasty' star coming to State of the Union

"Duck Dynasty" is coming to the State of the Union.

Louisiana Rep. Vance McAllister, R, invited Willie Robertson, a character on the A&E reality show, to be his guest at tonight's annual speech on Capitol Hill.

"I am proud to have my close friend, constituent and small business owner, Willie Robertson, attend tonight's State of the Union Address as my special guest," McAllister said in a statement. "Willie is thankful for this opportunity and honored to attend. I look forward to the two of us representing the Fifth District in DC this evening and bringing some diversity to our nation's capitol."

Robertson's wife Korie will also be in attendance as the guest of South Carolina Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham.

"Duck Dynasty" has become somewhat of a cause célèbre for conservatives after Phil Robertson, a character on the show who serves as the family patriarch, was suspended for making insensitive comments about gay men in an article for GQ. He was suspended by A&E but reinstated in part due to Republicans rallying behind Robertson.

Willie Robertson is one of Phil's sons.

His Lizardness Bandersnatch Cummerbund joins action thriller "Blood Mountain"

After a busy 2013 appearing in every movie you saw, including "12 Years a Slave," "August: Osage County," "The Fifth Estate," "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" and "Star Trek Into Darkness," things aren't slowing down for Benedict Cumberbatch in 2014. He's already got "The Imitation Game" on the way (first look here), and this spring he'll get climbing on a new movie.

The actor has boarded "Mongol" director Sergei Bodrov's "Blood Mountain." Penned by Jonathan W. Stokes and touched up by John Romano ("The Lincoln Lawyer"), the film isn't an adaptation of the album by Mastodon, but rather, "follows a private military contractor whose special forces team is ambushed and killed during a covert raid, forcing him to personally escort one of the world’s most wanted terrorists over hostile terrain in order to bring him to justice. With a bounty at stake and insurgents and rival mercenaries hunting them, the two find themselves facing not only their enemies, but each other in their fight for survival." No word yet on who his co-star will be but it sounds like a gritty little thriller. Production starts in April.

Sara Bareilles Fires Manager Jordan Feldstein After Grammys Scuffle With Osbournes

Also counting Maroon 5 and Robin Thicke as clients, Feldstein, who is Jonah Hill's brother, was caught in a heated, plate-throwing exchange with Sharon Osbourne at Saturday's Clive Davis-hosted pre-Grammy gala.

The singer, who performed with Carole King at the Grammys, was shut out of her nominations for album of the year (for The Blessed Unrest) and pop solo performance (for "Brave"). Though Bareilles and Thicke were both up for the evening's top categories (Thicke had three noms and also performed with Chicago), Feldstein did not attend the Staples Center event on Sunday.

Bareilles informed Feldstein the following day that he would no longer be representing her.

The news comes after a strange scuffle between Feldstein and Sharon Osbourne took place at Saturday night’s Clive Davis/Recording Academy-sponsored pre-Grammy gala at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. According to E! Online, Feldstein was first spotted in the ballroom arguing with Kelly Osbourne, with her mother following up after her daughter stormed away from the music manager's table.

"Sharon walked up to him pointing her finger and screaming," an eyewitness tells THR. With Bareilles seated nearby, Feldstein and The Talk host apparently got into a heated exchange that resulted in Osbourne tipping over a plate of food on his lap and throwing water at Feldstein’s head (see photo below). The fight apparently erupted over comments Feldstein made about Jack Osbourne and his wife. Says a source: "You don't f--k with the Osbournes."

Banks Releases New Track, 'Brain'

Los Angeles singer-songwriter Banks continues to stoke our anticipation for her in-the-works debut album with each new song released. On Tuesday (Jan. 28), a new track titled "Brain" premiered on KCRW, and finds the singer working with producer Shlohmo.

After previously collaborating with producers like SOHN and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Banks conjures a haunting arrangement from Shlohmo, and lets "Brain" build toward a ghostly crescendo before releasing her cool composure and belting the chorus. "Brain" is the latest preview of Banks' first full-length, due out later this year on Harvest Records in the United States.

Banks spent last fall supporting her debut EP, "London," on the road while op"ning for the Weeknd. A U.K. tour is set for March, and Banks will return to the States this spring to perform at Coachella and at the Governor's Ball fest.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Two-and-a-half seasons into its run, ABC’s Scandal is ready to at long last flesh out the First Family by giving faces to Fitz and Mellie’s two kids.

And that includes the son that may also be POTUS’ brother.

TVLine has learned that Shonda Rhimes’ fast-paced drama is currently casting the guest-starring roles of 15-year-old Jerry (Jr.?), who is described as “quiet, smart and intense,” and his younger sister Karen, who comes across as “polished, self-assured and older than her years.”

Scandal returns from its winter break on Feb. 27, with the 11th of this season’s 18 episodes. The Grant offspring will appear in Episode 15.

Kevin Hart says Black Women hate on his GF because shes "exotic looking"

Kevin Hart is making black women climb up off of him and his latest girlfriend, exotic Jamaican-bred beauty, Eniko Parrish.

The white-hot comedian, who has a gang of movies and TV shows and special popping up like dandelions, has tired of women saying that he left black women to be with exotic, light-skinned women. Nothing could be further from the truth, the “Real Men of Hollywood” and Ride Along star says.

First of all, Hart says, his current girlfriend is black and hails from the Caribbean. Secondly, he tried to make it work with his wife and the mother of his kids. But he claims he jumped off the train when he saw his marriage was a train wreck waiting to happen.

In an interview with Upscale magazine, the comedian discusses his tumultuous marriage to ex-wife, Torrei Hart, and also fires shots at hateful black women who he claims berate him of his “exotic looking” girlfriend.

“I read so much stuff that black women say, especially about my relationship. ‘Oh, he left his black wife to go be with some exotic chick.’ First of all, my girl is black, she’s Jamaican. But they say it as if they know what me and my ex-wife’s problems were. When we first got together, our relationship was amazing. We got married young and our s— got rocky. In my divorce, I stood up and said to my ex-wife, ‘Hey, I messed up. This had nothing to do with you. I didn’t understand what marriage was. I cheated. I was wrong. We couldn’t fix it, it got worse. I stepped away because I didn’t want it to get any worse. You’re the mother of my kids, I don’t want to hate you. The only way that’s gonna happen, is if I’m the bigger man and I leave.’ I think that was a very mature thing to do.”

Marlo Hampton says she and NeNe Leakes are no longer best friends

NeNe Leakes and Marlo Hampton were like two peas in a pod when they first met a few seasons ago on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” But since then, the two dynamic divas have fallen out ever since Hampton’s high-maintenance attitude rubbed Leakes the wrong way during her “I Dream of NeNe” series. Recently, Marlo began appearing again beside her favorite gal pal on “RHOA” again but in a new interview with “The DeShai Cole Show,” Hampton revealed that she and Leakes are still far from best friends.

“We’re not the best of friends now,” Marlo revealed. “Nothing really happened. You know how friends have their highs and lows. Right now we’re just at one of our lows. I’m sure we’ll get back to our high.”

Despite being estranged from her friend, Hampton claimed that she still loves Leakes like a big sister.

“I look up to NeNe like a big sis. NeNe would be the one I would listen to,” Hampton said. “She has that motherly feel without being my mom.”

Hampton said that she’s not exactly sure why she and Leakes aren’t close anymore, but she said that she trusts that they can become close once again, if they are real friends.

“To tell you the truth it ain’t nothing,” Hampton said. “True friends should fall out and have a disagreement, but I feel true friends should also be able to come back together.”

Well, we can honestly say that it’s endearing to see such a softer side from Hampton and we hope that she and Leakes can one day find peace with each other.

Saturday: Russell Tovey on LOOKING

Russell Tovey talks Looking: "It's special."

It's fair to say that Russell Tovey is proud of his new series LOOKING - about to launch in the UK on Sky Atlantic.

"I think I must've seen it about five times now - an actor should never admit that they watch their own work that much, but it's because I like the show!" he laughs.

Looking is already attracting a great deal of buzz on both sides of the Atlantic - Tovey thinks it's because the show provides "a fresh eye" on the gay community. "I think a lot of shows have the stereotypical gay man that's very accessible, very family friendly - the token comedy role or the best friend.

"This is showing a section of the community where there isn't any crisis ... They've got over all their shit and they're just being."

The role of cocksure "tech geek" and "wunderkind" Kevin was written for Tovey after he auditioned for the part of Looking lead Patrick, which went to Glee actor Jonathan Groff, but there's clearly no hard feelings - Tovey is just as effusive about his co-star as he is the series:

"I love musicals - that's probably one of my most gay traits, that's one of my giveaways!

"Jonathan is obviously a musical king - so between takes, we'd be singing songs from musicals. They'd call cut and we'd break into a tune from Chorus Line. I think he's absolutely brilliant. A lot of people love Jonathan Groff and I'm happy to join the queue!"

Justin Bieber zooms around Panama beach on quad bike with bikini clad 'drag racing partner' Chantel

Justin Bieber’s arrest seemed to be the furthest thing from his mind when he was goofing around on the beach in Panama on Monday.

After he was booked for alleged DUI and drag racing in Miami last week, the pop star fled to the holiday destination.

The 19-year-old appeared to have not a care in the world as he relaxed on the sand with Chantel Jeffries, the model he was with at the time of his arrest.

Frozen Tops Finding Nemo as Highest Grossing Original Animated Film of All Time

Frozen has just topped Finding Nemo as the highest grossing original (i.e., non-sequel) animated film of all time.

Disney's animated hit has dominated at the box office since its release, and last weekend its domestic box office total reached $347.8M, topping Finding Nemo's $339.7M to make it the highest grossing original animated movie of all time - excluding re-releases.

Globally, Frozen has taken in $810.3M, and there's more goodness coming its way, as the film is yet to open in China and Japan and the upcoming sing-a-long version is about to be released in the States.

If you adjust for inflation though, Snow White is the highest and beats Frozen by a mile.

Margaret Cho to Co-Star in Fox's Tina Fey Comedy

She'll play the Cabot College president in the multicamera project, reuniting with "30 Rock's" Fey and Matt Hubbard.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Fox's untitled Tina Fey and Matt Hubbard women's university comedy has found its administrator in a familiar face.

30 Rock Emmy nominee Margaret Cho has boarded the untitled comedy known as Cabot College, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
The multicamera comedy takes place at a women's college that has just opened its doors to men for the first time.

Cho will play the series regular role of Laura Thibault, the president of Cabot College who made the difficult decision to admit men into the school. She's further described as a divisive figure on campus and does her best to be welcoming of the male freshmen but is often irritated by their antics.
Third Watch alum Bonnie Dennison stars as Thena, a pretty but uptight sophomore and hard-core feminist who is the leader of the sizable population of Cabot College that doesn't want men on campus. Broadway actor Jack Cutmore-Scott co-stars as Charlie Deckard, a wealthy Kennedy-esque guy who enrolls in the college, much to Thena's chagrin. Chelsea Lately's Fortune Feimster and CSI's Brandon Jones co-star.

Production on the comedy -- which has a series commitment -- begins in March, as Fox is poised to shift to year-round programming and away from the traditional pilot season. 30 Rock's Hubbard penned the script for the Universal Television vehicle and exec produces alongside Fey, Robert Carlock and David Miner. Pam Fryman (How I Met Your Mother) directs.
The casting marks a reunion for Cho with both Fey and Hubbard after the actress played Kim Jong-Il and his son, Kim Jong-Un. She earned a guest actress in a comedy Emmy nomination for the former role. Cho, whose credits also include Lifetime's Drop Dead Diva -- where she'll continue to have a role on the show's upcoming sixth season -- and All American Girl, is repped by WME.

Kanye West has reportedly paid a $250,000 (£157,579) settlement to the teenager he allegedly assaulted earlier this month.

The rapper was investigated by Beverly Hills Police for allegedly assaulting the 18-year-old man at a chiropractor's office. West allegedly attacked the teen for screaming racial epithets at West's fiancée Kim Kardashian.

According to TMZ, the teenager will not go forward with criminal prosecution.

The DA has yet to decide whether or not to charge West with battery.

Celebdirtylaundry.com, who posted content that referred to #RichKids of Beverly Hills star Dorothy Wang as the anti-Asian racial slur "ch*nk," sent an e-mail expressing their regrets, explaining that the writer of the article, Lena Cooper, meant to write "chick" instead of the racial pejorative.

'We'll Be Back Soon': Niall Horan Promises One Direction Will Get Back To Work Soon

Directioners can breathe a little easier now following Niall Horan's tweet that the One Direction will be back to work soon.
Niall, Harry, Zayn, Louis and Liam have been spending the start of 2014 taking some time out following their hectic schedules that took over much of 2013. But it appears that the lads who found fame on the X Factor in 2010 will be back very soon.
Appearing to feel in a reflective mood, Niall posted on the social networking site:
"Layin in bed thinkin! just wanna say thank you ! Again! Enjoying some needed time off. But we'll be back soon! #relaxingtime."
However, that's not the only tweet that Niall sent about getting back to work with the boys as he posted yesterday:
"Writing time ! #newmusic ! Buzzin! Can't wait t see the lads too !"
Meanwhile, Liam recently announced the name of the band's next single.
Taken from their album of the same name, the boys will be releasing Midnight Memories next.
Taking to Youtube to announce the news. Liam said: "Our next single is going to be Midnight Memories, which is one of the songs I wrote with Louis."
"This is the first song we wrote on the album and it paved the way for this whole album sound and the way it all changes," explained the boy band member.
"It's a big, big tune, it's all about the midnight memories, everyone got them, so I hope you enjoy it."

Ready for some ot5 pics again.  I miss them all together.

Super Bowl Roles have been cast for the good guys and bad guys

Denver Broncos are the lovable franchise with deep football roots, and Seattle Seahawks are reckless trash-talkers, according to many public perceptions. It's an unfair but juicy narrative.

One team celebrated its Super Bowl invitation by angrily stomping across a rain-splattered patch of downtown pavement. The other team tearfully skipped around a bright mountain meadow.

One team's fans celebrated their Super Bowl invitation when a few fools threw popcorn on an injured opponent as he was being carted to the locker room. The other team's fans waved bright orange pompoms.

One team's nickname is associated with a glaring, swooping raptor. The other team's mascot rides in on a white horse.

The upcoming Super Bowl is a classic football matchup, and not only because it will be played in Tony Soprano's backyard amid potentially bitter cold and falling snow.

This year's game is about more than just the Denver Broncos versus the Seattle Seahawks.

This game is, in many public perceptions, about good versus evil.

Let's Buy A Bunch of Gwyneth Paltrow's Overpriced Shit.

As the ancient Chinese proverb, famously spoken by the Tang Clan of Wu, goes "cash rules everything around me, dolla, dolla bills, y'all." It is this very belief system that is the driving force behind Gwyneth Paltrow's inspired website - GOOP. An true amalgamation of all that is wrong with white America. Like a webified version of the cast of Girls on Vespa Scooters en route to an Alex and Ani launch party. Or Macklemore and Ryan Lewis beating Kendrick Lamar for Best Rap Album. And boy, are we lucky to experience all its glory.

Below are a smattering of items Gwynnie currently has available on her site for you mere plebeians to purchase. Now, you may say, Gwyneth Paltrow is worth $140 million dollars, why is she hawking her wares like a mall kiosk worker during the Christmas rush? Well, there is a very simple answer. You see, her husband, Chris Coldplay, is similarly worth $140 million dollars himself. Now being a poor, you may think that a household income of $280 million would suffice and you shouldn't be selling a bunch of overpriced junk to your fans, however, as an Oscar nominated actress, spokesmodel and human fishing lure, Gwyneth deserves more money than the man responsible for the lyrics ‘I swam across/I jumped across for you/Oh what a thing to do/’Cause you were all yellow.’ I mean, c'mon, how is jaundice romantic, Chris Coldplay? Have you ever had it? I had it as a baby and it is not cute or sexy. Meanwhile, Gwynnie's over here serving up bound up boobie realness in Shakespeare in Love and getting no credit for the rise in births circa 1999. It is wrong and luckily GOOP gives us the opportunity to make up for this wrongdoing.

Whether wiping snot off your face or hiding your uneaten entree from public view, it is so important to have a high quality, high thread count napkin, don't you think? This is not at all a giant waste of money. It's not like napkins are purchased for the sole basis of ruining.

If there is one thing all kids need, it is blue waffle...knit leggings.

'Haven' Renewed for 26-Episode Fifth Season

NEW YORK – January 28, 2014 – Syfy has greenlit 26 new episodes of its hit series Haven, which posted growth in both Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49 last year. The first 13 episodes of Season 5 are set to premiere this fall with the remaining 13 episodes scheduled to air in 2015.

Series stars Emily Rose, Lucas Bryant and Eric Balfour will reprise their roles of Audrey Parker, Nathan Wournos and Duke Crocker, respectively. Production on 26 all-new episodes is set to begin on location in Halifax, Nova Scotia this spring.

Haven, based on the novella, The Colorado Kid, from renowned author Stephen King, follows former FBI agent Audrey Parker, who becomes a cop in the small town of Haven, Maine, and soon discovers the town’s many secrets – which also hold the key to unlocking the mysteries of her lost past.

From leading independent studio Entertainment One (eOne), Haven is co-commissioned by Shaw Media in Canada and globally via Universal Networks International (UNI).

The creative team behind Haven includes executive producers John Morayniss (Klondike, Rogue) from eOne Television and David MacLeod (Legends of the Fall, The Ray Bradbury Theater) of Big Motion Pictures, who are joined by Lloyd Segan, Shawn Piller, Scott Shepherd (Stephen King’s The Dead Zone, Greek) of Piller/Segan/Shepherd and Matt McGuinness (Journeyman, Franklin and Bash) and Gabrielle Stanton (The Vampire Diaries, Grey’s Anatomy). The series was developed by Sam Ernst and Jim Dunn (Stephen King’s The Dead Zone).

Haven is produced by Entertainment One and Big Motion Pictures in association with Piller/Segan/Shepherd and airs on Syfy in the US, Showcase in Canada and internationally on UNI’s multiple Syfy channels. Entertainment One controls the worldwide distribution rights to the one-hour series.

I am so happy that it's renewed. I really thought they'd cancel it after the season finale.

Toni Braxton Buys $3 Million Mansion...6 Months After Bankruptcy

Reality TV can pull you out of bankruptcy and get you a $3 million house next to Justin Bieber ... all in 6 MONTHS ... and Toni Braxton's living proof.

Real estate sources tell TMZ, Toni -- whose reality show "Braxton Family Values" is already on its third season -- just purchased a mansion for close to $3 million in Calabasas' exclusive gated community The Oaks ... just a few houses down from Justin.

The house is 4 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, and measures 5,323 sq. ft.

Technically, it's the smallest house in the neighborhood ... but still, not too bad for someone who was dead ass broke less than a year ago.

Toni's real estate purchase has to sting for her old creditors -- as we reported, when Braxton filed for bankruptcy in 2010 (for the second time) she claimed debts as high as $50,000,000 ... and only ended up repaying a tiny fraction of that before the debts were cleared entirely.

Only in America ...

Womp womp - NBC cancels 'Sean Saves the World'

NBC has decided not to go forward with Sean Hayes rookie comedy “Sean Saves the World,” which has stopped production and effectively been cancelled.

The show, which stars Hayes as a divorced gay father of a 14-year-old girl, has struggled in the ratings from the outset. In its most recent airing, last Thursday, “Sean Saves the World” pulled a 0.7 rating/2 share and 2.58 million viewers overall, according to Nielsen.

“Sean,” whose first-season order was extended to 18 episodes late last fall, has aired 12 of its 14 completed episodes. NBC will air a “Saturday Night Live” clip show in its timeslot this week, and the Winter Olympics will gobble up the night the following three weeks.

This the second first-year NBC Thursday half-hour to be canceled this season, following “Welcome to the Family,” which aired just three times on the night in the fall.

Noble's Sleepy Hollow promotion puts him back in business with Fox as a series regular, where he had previously starred in Fringe. In the season finale, Noble's character was revealed to have major connections to Ichabod Crane and the Horsemen.

Meanwhile, Greenwood, who portrays Abbie Mills' sister Jenny, appeared in the majority of the 13-episode run.

Amanda Palmer Is Burning Down Twitter Right Now

Amanda Palmer has waded into the debate Macklemore (and also 12 Years a Slave for some reason), and the results aren't pretty.

Macklemore's Grammy win for Best Rap Album has launched a thousand essays about 'white privilege' this week, and even led to Macklemore apologising to Kendrick Lamar via text message ("It's weird and sucks that I robbed you," it read).

Macklemore has admitted in the past that he's "benefited from being white", but that hasn't stopped the entire internet pointing this out to him as if it's a revelation. Watching all this from afar, Amanda Palmer — never one to shy away from controversy — decided to get involved today.

Creepy Post: Trailer For Sundance Buzzed Horror Film 'The Babadook'

There have been many films from this year’s Sundance Film Festival that have been buzzed about, many of which were anticipated beforehand. What’s most exciting about this time of year is when a film comes out of nowhere (or in this case, from Down Under) and takes everyone by surprise. That is the case with the Australian horror film “The Babadook” which premiered at Sundance, and immediately made a rumbling around Park City, catching the ears of our team on the ground. And hopefully this trailer for the movie will get you excited too.

Starring Essie Davis (Baz Luhrmann’s “Australia”) and first-time actor Noah Wiseman, who was six years old when the film started shooting, “The Babadook” is about a mother and son who become haunted by a mysterious creature from a children’s book. The chilling trailers serves up a nice twist on the monster-in-the-closet trope, in what looks like a pretty terrific scare flick.

This film marks the directorial debut for Jennifer Kent who received funding from Kickstarter to make the film. Currently, “The Babadook” does not have a U.S. release date but that should hopefully change soon thanks to the amount of positive notices the film has received (Entertainment One has the worldwide distribution rights on the movie). Be sure to check out the trailer below.
