Lorde Refuses to Give Fans a Nickname

Lorde has said she won’t join the likes of Lady Gaga and Katy Perry by giving her fans a "pun-centric" nickname.

Gaga calls her followers The Little Monsters and Perry has her KatyCats but you won’t find Lorde giving her fans an equally heinous name any time soon. In fact, she almost chokes on her own bile with the venom she spits at the practice of nicknaming fans. (lol, what?)

The 17-year-old singer told Look magazine: "I find it grating to lump everyone into a really awkward, pun-centric name. People joke about it on Twitter, 'You should call us The Disciples. Never! I have discouraged it. I've tweeted multiple times, 'No fan name, I do no condone this.’"

Asked how she feels being referred to as a "pop star", Lorde added: "I wouldn't take offence! People think pop's filthy and shameful. I love pop music! I don't think it's right to shit on a genre just because some stuff about it isn't perfect. Pop is really powerful and if I'm a pop star then I'll be that to the best of my ability."

Earlier this month Lorde warned people against calling her a "teen hottie". The New Zealand star revealed that she takes particular offence at that term, but insisted she's not anti-sex.

Why isn't there a Lorde tag yet?

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber Are Not Back Together

Despite possible sightings and snapshots that might suggest otherwise, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber have not rekindled their relationship.

"Selena and Justin are not back together," a source revealed exclusively to E! News on Thursday, Jan. 9.

In response to reports that the exes spent the past weekend in a luxury RV at the upscale KOA Kampgrounds in Santa Cruz, Calif., the source adds that this camping trip simply did not happen.

"Selena and Justin have not gone on any trips together," the source explained. "They have not left town together." (Gossip Cop was first to debunk the camping reports.)

Speculation kicked into high gear that the former couple might be back on after they reunited for the first time, in a long time, and were photographed riding segways around Calabasas neighborhood The Oaks.

The 19-year-old pop star and the 21-year-old brunette beauty were spotted on Thursday, Jan. 2, with a few friends in tow and apparently caused quite the traffic jam.

According to a Twitter user, who snapped pics of the former couple during their outing, the group rode their segways in the middle of the streets which blocked cars from driving through.

Both Gomez and Bieber's reps declined to comment on this sighting.

Two days later, the "Heartbreaker" crooner continued to fuel the reconciliation rumors when he shared a cuddling snapshot with the "Come & Get It" singer on his Instagram account.

Just because the pair affectionately known as "Jelena" post some snapshots and spend some time together, it doesn't mean the young stars are dating again.

Jenny is going back to the block. The pop diva returns to her roots in the video for her new single “Same Girl.” In the Gomillion & Leupold-directed clip, which was shot in her native Bronx last month, she dances in the rain and waits at the station for the 6 train while wearing a Yankees cap.

The song was produced by Amadeus and Cory Rooney and written by Chris Brown.

“Cause I’m on the same grind/ No I never changed I/ Loving everyday I/ Know that I’m the same Jenny/ From around the way now,” sings J.Lo.

E! Apologizes Over Parkinson's Fun Fact

The E! Entertainment network has apologized to Michael J. Fox after viewers witnessed a grossly insensitive screen graphic which referred to his diagnosis with Parkinson's Disease as a 'fun fact'.

Twitter exploded with rage at the network for its message which declared that the popular 52-year-old Back to the Future and Spin City actor has been suffering the degenerative condition for 22-years.

Responding to the widely condemned screen graphic, E! issued a statement to The Hollywood Reporter, saying, 'We regret the insensitive classification of Michael J. Fox's Parkinson's diagnosis during our Eonline live stream. We understand the serious nature of the disease and sincerely apologize.'

The graphic was shown during E!'s live stream of red carpet coverage Sunday, although not on TV. As the actor was entering the Beverly Hills Hilton, the 'fun fact' graphic noted Fox's diagnosis in 1991. Fox was nominated for best actor in a comedy for his new NBC show.

The feed also provided the equally insensitive fact that Oscar winner Robert Redford was 'stricken with polio as a child.'

1D heartthrob Louis Tomlinson's Doncaster Rovers debut will be in derby match

Expect the Championship side’s stadium to be full to the rafters when he makes his professional debut for his hometown club

Who knew the 15,000-capacity football ground at Doncaster Rovers was such a rocking place?

Expect the Championship side’s stadium to be full to the rafters when 1D’s Louis Tomlinson makes his professional debut for the team.

After recovering from injury, the 22-year-old boybander has been called-up to play against local rivals Scunthorpe in the reserves fixture.

It will be his first start for the club he supports, six months after he was forced to postpone his debut having been clattered by Aston Villa star Gabby Agbonlahor in a charity match.

Louis has been given shirt number 28 - and is just a little bit excited.

He said: “We’ve got a couple of months off now but we’re usually abroad on tour so I don’t get to see Rovers that often.

“Six months ago I was joking about with one of the guys at the club and the joke became reality so I’m on the squad!

“I’ve been a fan since I was a young boy, and used to go with my dad and grandad.

“I’m registered as a player. I’m all right (as a player), I play right back - a bit hit and miss!

“We’re planning a reserve game in March before the band goes on tour in April.”

Album of the Year Grammy Winners: The 10 Best

By Alicia Diaz Dennis on January 8, 2014

(Maverick | Columbia | Epic)The Grammy Award for Album of the Year is the most prestigious award at the music industry's most prestigious awards show, and often its most divisive. Many have complained that the Grammys are perpetually out of touch (only two hip-hop albums have ever received top honors, for example), but even noted Grammy detractor Kanye West would agree that the Recording Academy gets it right once in a while.

Here are our picks for the most deserving winners of the past 30 years — the new classics, if you will. If you're only in it for the disses, check out the worst here.

No black artist topped the Billboard Hot 100 charts in 2013

While listening to NPR last night (yes, black folks listen to NPR) I heard this little gem; “There were no black artists with number one singles in 2013.”

While fools were arguing over who was the king of NYC last year, black artists were no where to be seen at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 charts for the first time since the company began charting top 40 singles in 1958. “How is this possible?” You may ask. Jay Z, Kanye West, Beyoncé, Pusha T and Drake all dropped albums in 2013 but none of them were able to get a top single. Furthermore, of the 52 weeks in a year, white artists were on top of the R&B and hip hop charts for 44 of them and blue eyed soul reigned supreme.

Sherlock's Over? No Worries! The Bletchley Circle Is Here to Satisfy Your Mystery Needs

From cracking the German Enigma code to eavesdropping on Japanese communications, the Bletchley Park code breakers contributed to some of the biggest Allied victories of the World War II.

But until relatively recently, much of the codebreakers' work remained shrouded in mystery - and the role of women most of all.

Now ITV drama The Bletchley Circle is set to shine a light on the contribution of the 9,000 women who worked at Bletchley Park during World War II, although as historian and author Michael Smith explains, fact, in this instance, is even more fascinating than fiction.

'Women played a variety of roles from lowly clerks to operating machines and breaking into ciphers and codes - the highest level of work you could do at Bletchley Park,' he explains.

Kyle Smith’s take on Globes: Too much estrogen!

For the first time in the recent history of awards shows, Lena Dunham didn’t win anything, but in a way she won everything, because last night’s Golden Globes broadcast might as well have been called “Girls.”

With its strenuously chummy hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, its saccharine-bordering-on-absurd acceptance speeches and its deluge of tearjerking “inspirational” commercials that sought to forge a hitherto unsuspected link between Golden Globes and Humanity’s Greatest Achievements, the night was a deep dive into a pool of estrogen.

Fey and Poehler, in accordance with the tiresome defense mechanism of female nightclub comics to make it all about gender before their hecklers can, lobbed a few feminist joke-bombs, the best of which was the smash hit of the night.

Said Fey: “‘Gravity’ is nominated for best film. It’s the story of how George Clooney would rather float away into space and die than spend one more minute with a woman his own age.”

Pretty funny, given Clooney’s history, if not the movie in question: Bullock had ten times as much screen time as her costar, Clooney being reduced to playing her coach.

But Poehler’s gag about how “Masters of Sex” defined her college years, wrapped up with a high-five to Fey, made even less sense (it isn’t challenging for a woman to find someone willing to sleep with her), while Fey sounded forced in her attempt to be naughty by hinting about how she liked sex with black guys (she told us her gentlemen callers were also known as “the Blacklist,” then called out black “Captain Phillips” actor Barkhad Abdi).

Teen Wolf Newcomer Arden Cho on Mythology, Romance and a Potential Spinoff: "We've Talked About it"

Could Teen Wolf be the next hit series getting the spinoff treatment, following in the footsteps of Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead and The Vampire Diaries?!

"I wanted to do it for awhile. If there was ever, I shouldn't say this because who knows if there would be a chance of it, I wanted to do it as a spinoff, as its own show," executive producer Jeff Davis spilled to E! The Newsroom renewed for third and final season

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The ACN News Night team is coming back for a third and final season.

HBO has officially renewed the Jeff Daniels drama for a final installment, which is expected to air this fall. The news comes nearly six months after HBO programming president Michael Lombardo noted publicly that he'd be "shocked" if the series didn't return. The hold-up has been creator Aaron Sorkin, who needed to pen the Steve Jobs film script before turning his attention back to Newsroom.

Joining Sorkin and executive producers Alan Poul and Scott Rudin for Newsroom’s third season is Paul Lieberstein. The former showrunner of (and actor on) The Office, a Sorkin favorite, will come aboard as an executive producer on the HBO series. The trio has been meeting in recent weeks to map out what’s next for the show, with production set to commence this spring. The cast was locked into new deals in September, which explains Emmy-winning star Jeff Daniels’ much-covered tweet about a third season.

Newsroom joins two other HBO dramas, True Blood and Boardwalk Empire, set to end their runs later this year. In preparation, HBO is readying a collection of new series, including Damon Lindelof drama The Leftovers, Mike Judge comedy Silicon Valley and anthology series True Detective.

Golden Globes criticized for alleged racism and sexism

Even if you didn't watch the Golden Globes, you might have caught the highlights and low points from Twitter's armchair critics. Amid the chatter about dresses, 'dos and the long path to the stage, some viewers used Twitter to call out examples of sexism and the lack of diversity surrounding the awards.

While there was much love for hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, discussion of gender inequality and racial disparities among nominees and winners coursed throughout the Twitterverse. Some of the conversation was stoked by the Representation Project, a nonprofit that challenges gender stereotypes in the media. The group urged viewers to use the hashtag #NotBuyingIt to cite examples of racism and sexism during the show and in commercials.

Here's a sampling of those comments:

Yasmine Akram on kissing Benedict Cumberbatch: “It was lovely and very soft”

Yasmine Akram, who plays Sherlock's unexpected love interest, is awaiting the reaction from fans

What's it like to kiss Sherlock Holmes? One woman can tell you.

Yasmine Akram, the actor lucky enough to have been cast as Sherlock's girlfriend Janine, says locking lips with Benedict Cumberbatch in the final episode of Sherlock was an absolute delight. “It was lovely and very soft,” she told RadioTimes.com, adding that it would be top of her list of things to do with her afternoon.

His Last Vow draws to a close the third series of BBC1's colossal hit Sherlock, written by Steven Moffat, Mark Gatiss, and Stephen Thompson. It sees Sherlock face the man he despises more than any other: the merciless newspaper baron (and “Napoleon of blackmail”) Charles Augustus Magnussen, played by The Killing's imperious Lars Mikkelsen. It also ends with what looks very much like the imminent resurrection of Moriarty, believed to have died at the end of series two (Moffat may be going back on his words: “He shoots himself in the brains. You don't come back from that”).

Disney CEO: "Frozen has restored our mojo".

When Walt Disney CEO and Chairman Bob Iger showed up at the premiere of filmFrozen on Nov. 27, he was already sure that the animated musical about two sisters was something special, a return to the magical essence that made Disney, well, Disney. By the time he got to the credits, he had choked up. "I was glad I was wearing [3-D] glasses," he says. "It was my proudest moment as the CEO of the Walt Disney Company."

Frozen is melting Iger's heart not just because of the cold, hard, cash it's generating -- it has grossed $669 million so far, and it hasn't even opened in China or Japan -- but also because the success of the film, the third in a row for the studio after years of disappointment, appears to show that Disney Animation Studios is finally, finally back in the groove. "I realized, 'My goodness, Disney Animation is where it rightfully belongs,'" he says. "The exhilaration was profound. It's not about the bottom line. The bottom line is for the quarter. This is for something bigger and longer."

The tale of two estranged sister princesses who must come together to de-ice their homeland,Frozen is racking up the big numbers. It was the No. 1 all-time Disney animation debut, and it is expected to soon pass The Lion King in overall box office; it's been nominated for two Golden Globes and may get an Oscar nod; it's the No. 1 album on both Amazon and iTunes. (Apparently, the "polar vortex" helped; people didn't seem to mind watching a story about an icy world when they were actually living in one.)

Matthew McConaughey wins Best Actor in a Drama at the Golden Globes

Matthew McConaughey staged a serious upset at the Golden Globes, triumphing over odds-on favorite Chiwetel Ejiofor and much-acclaimed opponents Tom Hanks and Robert Redford to win Best Actor in a Drama for his role in Dallas Buyers Club. The film now marks a new high point for McConaughey’s recent cinematic redemption: The actor shed many pounds (and the last vestige of his romcom glamour) to play Ron Woodroof, the good ol’ boy-turned-AIDS activist (and anti-government folk hero.)

In his speech, an exuberant McConaughey stressed the film’s long development journey, noting that it was “an underdog” for 20 years and was turned down 86 times. He segued into a nice shout-out to his mom, before finally thanking his wife. “She kicked my ass out the door! ‘Go git it! Go GIT it! Mah man! Mah KING!’” It’s a big win at an auspicious time. With the Oscar noms coming this week, McConaughey’s win at the Globes positions him as a serious spoiler in the stacked Best Actor category.

Mariah and Nick keep relationship alive with "lots of sex"

Nick Cannon got extra personal while sharing the secret to his successful marriage with Mariah Carey. The 33-year-old America's Got Talent host recently chatted with Us Weekly about his recent family vacation - and how he and Carey don't let their 2-year-old twins cramp their love life!

How do the spouses of five years keep the flame alive in their marriage? "Lots of sex," Cannon candidly told Us at the Variety Breakthrough Awards in Las Vegas on Thursday, January 9. The lovebirds also enjoy quality time together on vacation. Over the holidays, Cannon and the "Art of Letting Go" singer took twins Moroccan and Monroe to Aspen. "It was wonderful. We do that every year," he shared. "We go away and have a nice little Winter Wonderland."

But Cannon explained to Us that he doesn't need vacations to keep him happy in life. "I tell everybody that my vocation is my vacation. It doesn't seem like work," the comedian shared. "Not like where you come home your feet hurt, you've been out in the hot sun... that's work. I get to get up and be creative."

And watching his children grow up also puts a spring in his step. "They're almost three. They're reading now. They're musical," the proud father gushed. "My son likes to fight... that makes me happy. I gotta guy who's gonna be a tough dude."

Study Claims '16 and Pregnant' Created 20,000 Fewer Teenage Moms

 photo d9389242-733e-4e14-94d8-8bba2c4cc546_zps9bedcd59.jpg

In the face of a wall of think pieces on how 16 and Pregnant glamorizes and rewards the life of a teenage mother, a paper presented by the National Bureau of Economic Research argues that the program may have actually prevented thousands of teenage pregnancies.

"We find that 16 and Pregnant led to more searches and tweets regarding birth control and abortion, and ultimately led to a 5.7 percent reduction in teen births in the 18 months following its introduction," write co-authors Melissa S. Kearney (University of Maryland) and Phillip B. Levine (Wellesley College) in their NBER paper, titled "Media Influences on Social Outcomes: The Impact of MTV's 16 and Pregnant on Teen Childbearing." That 5.7 reduction, The New York Times explains, is around 20,000 possible births to teenage mothers in 2010.

That is something we weren't expecting. Since the program's start in 2009, MTV has come under a lot of flack for not only exploiting the girls on the show, but also glamorizing teen pregnancy. The gist of all those pieces: teenage girls would want to get pregnant because it would get them on MTV and turn them into celebrities.

And what those pieces might have done is shortchange or underestimate teenage girls. Glamorizing would only work if teenage girls weren't smart enough to see that these young mothers on television were steaming hot messes. Apparently, they deserve a lot more credit than that. The New York Times explains that the areas that were consuming the most 16 and Pregnant saw teen pregnancy rates decline faster than areas that didn't:

An excuse for a Brandon Boyd post

Incubus’ Brandon Boyd to tour with new project

Incubus frontman Brandon Boyd has revealed plans to hit the road with new project. Brandon Boyd and Sons of The Sea will make their way to Massachusetts for a show at the Paradise Rock Club on Friday, January 31. Tickets for the show are now on sale through Ticketmaster for $20.

Brandon Boyd and Sons of The Sea released their self-titled debut album in September. The project grew out of the long relationship between legendary producer Brendan O’Brien, who in addition to Incubus has produced Pearl Jam, Bruce Springsteen, The Killers, Rage Against the Machine and more. Boyd, who had never written with anyone other than his Incubus bandmates, contributed vocals and lyrics, while O’Brien performed most of the music, with an assist from go-to rock session drummer Josh Freese.

In a press release, Boyd described his and O’Brien’s collaboration as more accessible and “song-based” than Incubus material. “[We were] two artists who had worked together before, but now in a completely different context,” he said. “Every song we worked on was different from the next one. It was a process of continual discovery.”

The full-length album follows Sons of the Sea’s debut EP Compass, which was released in June. It features lead single “Come Together" as well as a cover of Leonard Cohen’s “Hey, That’s No Way to Say Goodbye”.

Boyd’s lone previous solo release was 2010′s The Wild Trapeze. Aside from his musical endeavors, the California native has focused on visual art and writing in recent years. Earlier this year, he published his third book entitled “So The Echo” featuring a collection of his ink drawings, watercolors, collages, photography and writing from the past four years.

On the upcoming tour, Boyd will be backed by a full band. O’Brien is not expected to participate.

Director David O. Russell Compares Jennifer Lawrence's Work Schedule to "12 Years of Slavery"

About this time last year, Jennifer Lawrence was suffering from pneumonia and fearful she wouldn’t make it through awards season. Now, her “American Hustle” director David O. Russell, worries the 23-year-old star he directed to a “Silver Linings Playbook” Oscar, is close to pushing herself over the edge again.

He blames “The Hunger Games” franchise.

“I personally think they should give her a bit of breathing room over there because they’re printing money,” Russell exclusively told Confidenti@l at Friday’s Australian Academy’s AACTA Awards held in Los Angeles. “But she’s a very alive person.”

“I’ll tell you what it is about that girl — talk about 12 years of slavery, that’s what the franchise is. And I’m going to get in so much trouble for saying that.”

Russell further compared “The Hunger Games” to a “hamster wheel,” claiming Lawrence takes on more artistic roles as a “vacation” of sorts. The franchise has produced two films over the past two years with another pair on the way.

The AACTA International Award for Best Screenplay went to “American Hustle” writer Eric Warren Singer and Russell. Lawrence took home best actress.

Well he’s right about one thing, he’s definitely going to get in trouble for saying it. We get the point but we’re pretty sure he’s going to be apologizing soon enough.

Hard work or not, long days on set for healthy paychecks do not even come close to the horrors of slavery!

Bye Bye Bye McKinley High: Glee Moving to NYC Exclusively

At a TCA panel Monday afternoon, Fox entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly confirmed plans for the remainder of this season of Glee to be set entirely in New York.

The move has been rumored for a few months, but this marks the first confirmation from the network. Reilly also confirmed once again that next season, the show’s sixth, will be the last for the musical comedy.

When it comes to cast breakdowns for the big New York move, Reilly wasn’t specific, but seemed to own that there would be shakeups. “Some are going to be graduating and moving; creatively, it would be ridiculous that everybody moves to New York,” he said. “There will be some that will graduate and move on and they’ll arc back in when we do special episodes. They’ll always be a part of it… But for this season, there will be a graduation, several of the cast members will move on and a few others will go to New York.”

This move has been longed for by a large contingent of the fan base for quite some time, and it’s encouraging to hear that a few more McKinley High alums will head out east instead of just leaving the program. Who do you hope sticks around and joins Rachel, Kurt, and Santana?

Taylor Kinney on Dating Lady Gaga: "For Whatever Reason, It Works"

For Taylor Kinney, his relationship with Lady Gaga is anything but a bad romance.

In fact, despite differences in their personalities, the Chicago Fire star seems to suggest it was simply meant to be.

"I'm reserved. She's not. For whatever reason, it works," the 32-year-old actor told E! News' Jason Kennedy at NBCUniversal's Golden Globes afterparty in Beverly Hills on Sunday, Jan. 12.

He added, "It works and that's that."

Kinney and Gaga certainly proved just that at the shindig, where they had no problem packing on the PDA. The two shared a passionate kiss as they entered the A-list event held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

And while Mother Monster's handsome beau might say he's a bit reserved, his girlfriend did tell Ellen DeGeneres last November that her man is a "hidden weirdo."

She playfully revealed, "He is extremely strange, actually, and we complement each other's weirdness."

Should NAACP Image Awards Only Go To African-Americans?

Who should be eligible to receive an award from the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People? And if that definition becomes flexible, what does that do to the mission of the award itself?

That's a question worth asking as the NAACP Thursday unveiled a for its 45th annual Image Awards — a ceremony long thought to be a way to honor African-American performers who are often ignored by mainstream Hollywood awards contests.

As expected, the African-American-focused Black Entertainment Television earned the most TV nominations at 19, and longtime favorites such as LL Cool J, Shemar Moore, Angela Bassett and Kerry Washington were highlighted.

But nominations also included white performers, such as Justin Timberlake and Robin Thicke for Outstanding Male Artist, song and album.

In the TV categories, stars of South-Asian heritage — such as Archie Panjabi from The Good Wife and Mindy Kaling from The Mindy Project — were nominated for acting awards, alongside Latina Modern Family star Sofia Vergara. And some shows or films which have no African-American cast members, such as ABC's Modern Family or Dallas Buyers Club, are also nominated.

For quite a while, the "Colored People" in the NAACP's name was a reference to black people, using the term for American descendants of slaves common at the time of the group's founding in the early 1900s, the Image Awards were founded in 1967 as a way for the group to support outstanding black artists who challenged stereotypes instead of echoing them.

Christine McVie Rejoins Fleetwood Mac: Official

Christine McVie is back with Fleetwood Mac -- officially.

The band's publicist, Liz Rosenberg, has confirmed to Billboard that McVie has rejoined the band after departing the group in 1998.

Rosenberg says that McVie "has indeed re-joined Fleetwood Mac and we are hoping to make an announcement about a possible tour for the full tilt Macsters some time in 2014."

McVie joined the band in 1970 after marrying the group's bassist, John McVie. She continued on with the group for the next 28 years as a principle songwriter, vocalist and keyboardist.

McVie wrote some of the act's biggest Billboard Hot 100 chart hits, including "Say You Love Me" (No. 11 peak, 1976), "Don't Stop" (No. 3, 1977), "You Make Loving Fun" (No. 9, 1977), "Hold Me" (No. 4, 1982), "Little Lies" (No. 4, 1987) and "Everywhere" (No. 14, 1988).

Undoubtedly, devotees of Fleetwood Mac are hoping for a new album from the famed "Rumours"-era lineup of the band, with singer/songwriters Nicks, McVie and Lindsey Buckingham. Together, the three were the principle writers of five studio albums from the group: "Fleetwood Mac" (released in 1975), "Rumours" (1977), "Tusk" (1979), "Mirage" (1982) and "Tango In the Night" (1987).

Michael Douglas has stepped into some of the biggest--or should that be tiniest?--shoes of his career.

The two-time Academy Award-winning actor will join director Edgar Wright and Paul Rudd in Marvel's "Ant-Man," hitting theaters July 31, 2015.

"With Hank Pym's rich history in the Marvel Universe, we knew we needed an actor capable of bringing the weight and stature to the role that the character deserves," said Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige. "We felt incredibly relieved when Michael Douglas agreed to step into the part with the charm and fortitude he brings to every character he inhabits, and couldn't be more excited to see what he will do to bring Hank Pym to life."

The legendary actor, who earned an Academy Award in the category of Best Actor in a Leading Role for his iconic portrayal of Gordon Gecko in "Wall Street," has also starred in numerous modern classics including "Basic Instinct," "Fatal Attraction," "The Game," "Wonder Boys," "Traffic" and many more. In addition to acting, Douglas has also served as Producer and Executive Producer on a number of films including "Romancing the Stone," John Carpenter's "Starman" and "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest," for which he also won an Academy Award for Best Picture. Most recently, Douglas earned a Golden Globe and his first Primetime Emmy Award for his role as legendary entertainer Liberace in the HBO original film "Behind the Candelabra."

Douglas will star as Hank Pym, who first appeared in TALES TO ASTONISH #27 (Jan. 1962), with Rudd starring as Scott Lang in the film.

Happy 21st birthday Zayn Malik - here's why he's the best member of One Direction

(The one who looks like they're about to cry is me everytime I see Zayn.)

That chiselled jaw-line, those abs and the eyes which look like they’ve been stolen from a puppy; I admit it, I'm insane about Zayn, says Katy Brent

There are some truly unanswerable questions in life, such as ‘Why are we here?’ ‘Where did we come from?’ and most importantly, ‘Who is the best member of 1D?’

It’s a highly evocative subject that everyone will have an opinion on. But for me, there is a clear and definite answer.

Wally West Lives!

When DC Comics announced that Francis Manapul and Brian Buccellato were leaving The Flash to go to Detective Comics, they didn't announce who was taking their place.

Robert Venditti and Van Jensen will co-write The Flash with art by Brett Booth starting with The Flash #30 on April 23, 2014. But that's not the biggest part of the news.

Wally West is coming along for the ride.

Wally will be introduced to the DC Comics New 52 in April 30th's The Flash Annual #3.

That announcement was inside a piece on USAToday touting 2014 as a "breakout year" for the Flash. The Barry Allen version of the character will also appear in Justice League: War, the first New 52 animated movie, and will likely be seen on his own TV show on The CW in the fall.

Venditti said that The Flash is easy to relate to because of the primal nature of the character's ability.

"From a very young age, one of the first things you want to be able to do is run fast," the writer says. "You don't want to fly, you don't want to have a ring that makes constructs out of light. It's just a simple, basic thing: 'I want to be able to run fast.'

"It's ingrained in our DNA, and here's a character that lives that out."

Wally West has been a frequent question at comic book conventions since DC Comics rebooted their entire universe and removed him from his place as the "other" Flash, leaving only Barry Allen in the role. Another frequent "Where are they?" character, Stephanie Brown, will also debut in the New 52 this Spring as a main character in the weekly series Batman: Eternal.

'Breaking Bad' cast plans to celebrate Golden Globes wins with a wife swap

Forget the traditional Golden Globes after parties -- the cast of "Breaking Bad" has something a bit most extreme in mind to celebrate taking home Best Television Series -- Drama for their farewell season.

Speaking with reporters backstage on Sunday (Jan. 12), Bryan Cranston (who also took home Best Actor in a TV Series -- Drama) fielded a question about whether the cast would toast to their success together with an eyebrow-raising admission: "I think we are going to wife-swap. That's been discussed."

As the room erupted in laughter, Aaron Paul played along, echoing Cranston: "Wife-swapping."

"I thought that was an interesting plan," Cranston joked.

After a reporter asked who would get Paul's wife Lauren Parsekian, Cranston teased, "You put your card in the basket, I don't know," before getting a little more serious. "Personally, I am not much of a partier. I really don't know how to do that."

"But you are a dancer," Besty Brandt (Marie) reminded her former co-star, prompting Paul to address the crowd: "He does like to dance."

As for their big win, which most critics predicted would happen, creator Vince Gilligan had just one question. "Did they predict the dopey look on my face?"
