Emma Watson and her PR team are working overtime

Stunning Harry Potter star Emma Watson seems spellbound as her hunky boyfriend plants a smacker on her forehead on a sun-kissed Caribbean beach.

The 23-year-old actress and strapping Oxford University rugby star Matthew Janney have jetted off for their first romantic getaway as a couple.

They were seen kissing and cuddling in the surf after enjoying a romantic stroll and one guest said: “They didn’t have a care in the world. Matt was very protective of Emma – often putting his arm around her.”

She added: “He was being a gentleman the whole time. He is clearly very much into her, but then who wouldn’t be, she is one of Hollywood’s hottest stars? They couldn’t stop giggling and smiling the whole time.” (lol)

Black Mirror series 3: Charlie Brooker confirms at least two more episodes

Charlie Brooker has promised more Black Mirror, saying that two ‘helpings’ of the Channel 4 drama are on the way.

The Weekly Wipe host said he couldn’t be specific on details, but intimated that there would be another two dark and dystopian stories, though the show has previously come in threes.

‘There will be more – I don’t think I’m allowed to say quite when,’ Brooker told Lauren Laverne on her BBC Radio 6Music show).

‘There’s going to be some and then there’s going to be some more – you’ll get one helping and then there’ll be another helping.’

Robert Downey Jr purchased the rights to 2011 episode The Entire History of You last year, but Brooker said he remains in the dark over RDJ’s plans for it.

‘I’m not really involved in that – that was Jesse Armstrong’s episode,’ he added. ‘People always mention that, like I’m now best mates with Robert Downey Jr. I’ve never met him!’

Brooker said he was ‘not adverse’ to further film adaptations though, explaining: ‘We’ve had all sorts of conversations along those lines. ‘They’re high-concept ideas and that’s the sort of thing that lends itself to being remade as a film.’

James Franco and Chris O'Dowd in 'Of Mice and Men' on Broadway

Surely one of this spring’s most interesting new productions on Broadway is the forthcoming revival of John Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men, starring James Franco and Chris O’Dowd in their Broadway debuts.

Take a look above at the new poster for the classic play, which also stars Gossip Girl‘s Leighton Meester (as Curley’s Wife) and Tony winner Jim Norton (as ranch hand Candy) in the production helmed by award-winning director Anna D. Shapiro.

Franco and O’Dowd are front and center in their iconic roles as George and Lennie (respectively), two migrant workers in search of a better life during the Great Depression. The revival will mark the first time in 40 years that Broadway will host Steinbeck’s masterpiece about the American dream; the first Broadway production opened in 1937, and the first revival ran in the 1974-75 season.

Of Mice and Men will begin previews on March 19, 2014 at the Longacre Theatre, with opening night set for April 16 and the limited engagement set to conclude on July 27.

Matt Bomer Debuts Buzzed Haircut, Still Looks Handsome as Ever (Of Course)

If you thought Matt Bomer's perfectly coiffed hair was what made him such a hunk, this is clear proof that you're wrong.
The hot Hollywood actor, who is known for his gorgeous locks, opted to shave them off (we couldn't tell you why, but we're not mad), and debuted the new buzzed look today during his panel for HBO's 2014 Winter TCA Press Tour in Pasadena. Gasp!
Fear not. The short haircut doesn't decrease Bomer's sex appeal in the slightest. In fact, it only made it that much easier to appreciate those baby blue eyes of his.

The 36-year-old actor was joined by Mark Ruffalo, Julia Roberts, Jim Parsons, and Taylor Kitsch, as well as director Ryan Murphy, to promote their new film The Normal Heart.
The drama tells the story of the onset of the HIV-AIDS crisis in New York City in the early 1980s, taking a look at the nation's sexual politics as gay activists and their allies in the medical community fight to expose the truth about the burgeoning epidemic to a city and nation in denial.
"We never went after anyone based on sexuality," Murphy said during the panel in reference to casting Bomer and Parsons.

The film, which is an adaptation of a Tony Award-winning play of the same name, premieres on HBO in May.

The catwalk pays the rent, but I LOVE acting: Cara Delevingne on her true passion

Cara Delevingne certainly knows how to spread the love around.

‘Have some Love, from Cara,’ she cried, which turned out to be not as fun as it sounded, as she proceeded to spritz rosewater and jasmine onto my forehead from a tiny bottle labelled Love.

The girl with the world’s most famous eyebrows was relaxing between takes on the set of Michael Winterbottom’s dark drama The Face Of An Angel, which is loosely based on the Amanda Knox murder case.

Cara plays Melanie, a student studying Italian and working in a bar in Siena. There, she meets and befriends Thomas, a documentary film-maker covering the murder trial, played by the brilliant Daniel Bruhl (Bafta-nominated for his portrayal of Niki Lauda in Rush).

"I'm a Trans Woman, but Please Stop Asking Me About My Genitalia"

Author and advocate Janet Mock breaks down Laverne Cox and Carmen Carrera's appearance on Katie Couric's talk show

I don’t talk about my kitty cat with my friends. It never seems to come up when we’re gabbing about The Real Housewives or gagging over Beyonce’s “Partition” music video. But I—an unapologetic trans woman and writer—have been asked about my vagina (by people I do not know, mind you) more times than I can even recall.

Outrageously, trans people’s bodies have been open for public dissection since 1952 when Christine Jorgensen became the media’s first sex change darling, and in the 60 years since Jorgensen’s headline-making path to womanhood, journalists from Barbara Walters to Katie Couric are still asking the same tired questions about our bodies.

It’s stunning that legendary women have found themselves asking other women about their genitalia—in public. As I write in my upcoming memoir, Redefining Realness: "Undergoing hormone therapy and genital reconstruction surgery are the titillating details that cisgender people love to hear." (For the uninitiated, cisgender is nomenclature for those who are not trans, and therefore less likely to experience the misalignment of their gender identity and assigned sex at birth.) But these are "deeply personal steps I took to become closer to me, and I choose to share them.”

Justin Bieber -- Accused of Vicious Egg Attack on Neighbor's House

Justin Bieber launched an all out egg assault on his neighbor's home Thursday night -- and the L.A. County Sheriff was called to the scene while the eggs were still flying ... this according to the alleged victim.

TMZ spoke to the neighbor who says he heard something banging against his house in Calabasas around 7:30 PM Thursday, and when he stepped on to a 2nd floor balcony ... he says he saw Justin down below hurling eggs at his front door.

According to the neighbor ... Bieber started aiming for him once he stepped onto the balcony and yelled, "What the Hell are you doing?"

Justin and the neighbor -- who've had previous run-ins -- also got into a verbal dispute while JB allegedly continued tossing a few more eggs at the house ... and then retreated back to his home.

The neighbor immediately called the Sheriff's Department -- and believes his house was pelted with no less than 20 eggs.

Law enforcement sources confirm deputies responded, and took an incident report from the neighbor. It's unclear, at this point, if they were able to speak to Justin.

Calls to Bieber's reps were not immediately returned.

Can We Still Enjoy Martin Freeman?

Remember when Martin Freeman could do no wrong? We do and it was a fantastic time. We were charmed by his characters. He played the often befuddled foil to Benedict Cumberbatch's Sherlock Holmes, the hapless hobbit Bilbo Baggins on his first adventure. Freeman had a great mix of charm and British wit, and it felt like he was some kind of cheeky secret that our friends across the Atlantic had been keeping from us. He was great performer that we all enjoyed immensly. But then he made a rape joke, and just like that, the honeymoon was over.

In a recent interview for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, the actor makes a this joke about dating an elf as a shorter creature:

"I've got a ladder. It's fine. And I’ve got drugs. I could just make them — you know. Slip them something in their goblet. Some will get offended by that now. Cause they’ll call it 'rape' or whatever. But, um, you know. For me, it's a helping hand. Maybe I should stop talking."

Well friends -- what say you? How do you feel about Martin Freeman, compared to how you used to? I haven't even been able to sit through the second episode of Sherlock yet -- and all of this madness has a lot to do with the reason why. I also went to a Fandom-party last weekend and spoke to a girl there who literally has a Bilbo Baggins cosplay outfit -- and even she'd had enough and had a pretty solid "fuck that guy" response to the topic of Freeman.

Hey, ONTD! Quotable Celebrity Quotes To Remember In 2013 As Compiled By IndieWire's Playlist Team

2013, we’re not quite done with you yet. To close off our coverage of the year gone by, we wanted to hand over the mic to the actors, directors and other film professionals who made waves, headlines, faux pas, announcements, pronouncements or funny gags throughout the year. And we’re changing up the format this time out, scouring the whole Internet and not just our own archives for these little nuggets, mainly because we’re fairly sure you’ve all avidly consumed and committed to memory every word of each of the 200-odd interviews we ran in 2013, not to mention the thousands of news stories, and we’d be preaching to the choir.

And so we bring you this snapshot of the year just gone in an eclectic assortment of tweets, awards speech soundbites, print interviews, talk show snippets, press conference bombshells and various other samples of film industry chatterati gasbagging and gossiping their way through 2013. And since of all of them, none was more ubiquitous and more valuable as a source of an adorkable one-liner or twenty than Jennifer Lawrence, we’re giving her an honorary entry to close off each month, after opening the segment with a quote from one of that month’s releases.

So come with us as we finally wave adieu/flip the bird to 2013 at the movies, in the words of the people who made it what it was.

Young & The Restless’ Veteran Breaks Silence About Michael Muhney

The cast and crew of hit soap The Young & The Restless are in turmoil, in the wake of star Michael Muhney being fired for allegedly groping the breasts of his costar Hunter King multiple times.

In the aftermath of Muhney’s demise, tales of bitter in-fighting, backstabbing and cast cliques have emerged, painting a sordid portrait of what’s REALLY going on behind-the-scenes of the highest-rated daytime drama on American television.

Now, in an unprecedented move, veteran actor Eric Braeden — best known for his role as Victor Newman on the soap since 1980 — has come forward exclusively to RadarOnline.com in a bid to set the record straight about rumors that he played a role in the termination of Muhney, 38.

Speaking to Radar’s Jen Heger, a forthright Braeden claimed Muhney, who played his on-screen son Adam Newman, had openly waged a “campaign” to get him kicked off the show which, he stunningly confessed, led to an epic “shouting match” between the pair.

“I was prompted to get into ‘fisticuffs’ with him because he wanted me off the show, if you want to know the truth,” the Emmy Award-winner admitted.

But, said Braeden, “The notion that Hunter King came to me and was coaxed by me to go to the top (and get Muhney fired) is utter nonsense.”

Doctor Who Series 8 to Start in August, Series 9 in 2015 With No Spit Seasons

Steven Moffat has stated that a ninth series of Doctor Who will air next year.

Like the show's upcoming eighth series, the 2015 episodes will air as a single uninterrupted run, Moffat told Doctor Who Magazine.

"We're not going to do splits [in series eight], and the same format will repeat exactly the following year like that - so it will be the traditional form," said the sci-fi drama's head writer.

Doctor Who's eighth series - the first to star Peter Capaldi as the Doctor - is expected to air on BBC One from August.

Filming on the new episodes began this week, with a first-look image of Capaldi on-set with co-star Jenna Coleman (Clara) unveiled on Tuesday (January 7).

The first two installments will be helmed by Sightseers director Ben Wheatley.

Lucy Liu says working on Elementary is 'a nice break for me'

Lucy Liu calls her role in Elementary “a nice break”. Not because shooting 24 episodes per series of the US Sherlock Holmes update isn’t hard work but because, so far, it’s been a little less physically demanding than the parts she’s used to.

Liu plays former doctor Joan Watson – partner in crime-solving to Jonny Lee Miller’s detective – in the CBS series, a relatively sedate entry on an acting CV that includes Samurai sword-wielding O-Ren Ishii in Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill, high-kicking Alex Munday in Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle and numerous other martial arts and action movies.

And the 45-year-old star says her body bears the marks of those very physical roles – not to mention the operations needed to repair them.

Jonah Hill Dating Actress Isabelle McNally

Jonah Hill's 2014 is looking bright -- both professionally and in the romance department. The 30-year-old actor is dating actress Isabelle McNally, Us Weekly can exclusively confirm. The two were first photographed together back in September.

"It's been going on longer than that, [a] few more months," an insider tells Us of the relationship. The couple were spotted for the first time while walking their dogs in West Hollywood on Sept. 16. At the time, the lovebirds kept a low-profile while Hill wore a matching black ensemble and the young brunette dressed casual in workout gear.

On Dec. 30, Hill and McNally were caught showing off some PDA as they shopped for groceries at Whole Foods. Earlier in the month, Hill celebrated turning the big 3-0 at Tao Downtown in NYC in a private room, as Katie Holmes celebrated turning 34 in a separate area.

McNally is currently filming the pilot The Money for HBO. She's also appeared in films Indigo Children and Frances Ha.

Hill previously dated high school sweetheart Jordan Klein for several years, before the pair called it quits in October 2011. Us exclusively broke news in September 2012 that the 22 Jump Street actor split from Dustin Hoffman's daughter, Ali Hoffman, after a nine-month romance.

Steve McQueen developing landmark BBC TV drama

The Oscar-tipped director is working on a major series about the black British experience, spanning the late 1960s to the present day.

The BBC is developing a “landmark” drama about the black British experience with director and hot Oscar contender Steve McQueen.

McQueen – whose Twelve Years a Slave, starring Chiwetel Ejiofor, is one of the early favourites for the Oscar best film award – is currently working on the as yet unnamed series, set in his native west London and spanning the late Sixties to the present day.

“I don’t think there has been a serious drama series in Britain with black people from all walks of life as the main protagonists,” McQueen told the Daily Mail.

The BBC confirmed to RadioTimes.com that it was developing the project with Rainmark films, the British independent producers behind Emmy award-winning Churchill: Into The Storm and Richard Eyre’s feature film The Other Man.

The Corporation said it was “early days” for the drama and that it is not yet clear whether it would be for BBC1 or BBC2.

Work is under way and we are fully committed to making it but working around Steve's schedule,” said a spokeswoman.

Controller of drama commissioning Ben Stephenson added: "It is too early to announce the details, but it is incredibly exciting to be working with the hugely talented British director who has rapidly become one of the finest directors in the world."

The drama is likely to evoke comparison with Our Friends in the North, Peter Flannery’s epic 1996 series about a group of Geordie friends and their experiences in a changing Britain, beginning in the 1960s and continuing to then contemporary mid-1990s Britain.

Twelve Years a Slave is also nominated for all the major awards for this year's Bafta Film Awards, with Ejiofor competing for the best actor prize against Hustle's Christian Bale, Wolf of Wall Street's Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hanks (Captain Phillips) and Bruce Dern (Nebraska).

Ke$ha ‘Doesn’t Want To Be Forced To Make Stupid Pop Music’ Anymore, Declares Mom

Once her stint in rehab for an eating disorder is finished, Ke$ha‘s mom exclusively tells RadarOnline.com that the “Timber” singer wants to get her career back — but she “doesn’t want to be forced to make stupid pop music.”

In an exclusive interview with Radar, the singer’s mother, Pebe Sebert, claims Ke$ha is over the pop star image that catapulted her into fame with hits like “Tik Tok” and would rather focus on writing songs and making music that is meaningful to her.

“If she needs to stay longer than 30 days, she will. She’s trying to get her career back,” Sebert said.

“She wants to do the music she cares about…the music she wants to do. ‘Tik Tok’ was really her. But she was like 20 and now she’s almost 27 and over it.”

According to Sebert, Ke$ha is more than just a performer and entertainer — she writes ballads comparable to Bob Dylan.

“She writes amazing, beautiful ballads as good as Bob Dylan…deep, meaningful songs, and they never see the light of day,” Sebert told Radar.

“She doesn’t want to be forced to make stupid pop music. Who knows, maybe she’ll do blue grass. Whatever she wants to do! She should have the right to choose. The people she’s working with don’t even want her opinion.”

But while in rehab Ke$ha got good news when her collaboration with Pitbull, “Timber,” topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart at #1.

“She could care less,” Sebert replied.

Pirated Copy of ‘Walter Mitty’ Online with ‘Ellen DeGeneres’ Watermark

A copy of “The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” that includes a watermark with “Ellen DeGeneres” showed up on file-sharing pirate networks this week.

A rep for 20th Century Fox, the film’s distributor, said the watermark appeared genuine, saying the studio created a copy for “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” last fall prior to star and director Ben Stiller’s appearance on her show.

The existence of the pirated copy of “Walter Mitty” with DeGeneres’ name was reported Thursday by Andy Baio, former CTO of Kickstarter, on his blog site Waxy.

Asked for comment, the executive producers of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” said they were not certain whether the copy in question was “leaked from the show or not,” but said that “we are doing everything we can to find out and to make sure it never happens again.”

“Our show is sent advanced screeners of movies, sitcoms, reality shows, CDs, etc. before guests appear on our show,” the show’s producers said. “We do everything we can to protect the content and in 11 seasons nothing has ever leaked online from our show.”

Bradley Cooper in W Magazine

Nearly two months later, on a Thursday night, I was at the Greenwich Hotel again, this time to interview Bradley Cooper, who was staying there while in New York for the premiere of American Hustle, in which he plays an ambitious FBI agent. When it comes to promoting his films, Cooper, who is also 39, may be the polar opposite of Phoenix. Cooper is a film lover who thinks like a businessman; he will enthuse about, say, how much he admires The Royal Tenenbaums and how it’s a crime that Wes Anderson, the director, never won an Oscar. What’s more, he doesn’t hesitate to fly to any city anywhere to meet and greet and to present at a premiere or a film festival. He seems to view doing press as a form of campaigning, and it works: Last year he was nominated for an Academy Award for best actor for his part in Silver Linings Playbook, a dark comedy about a love affair between two mentally unstable people. Cooper, who didn’t start acting until after he graduated from Georgetown University, has a kind of puppyish zeal for every aspect of filmmaking. Even though he is quite accomplished and is no longer required to audition, he will make a video of himself to prove to a director that he is right for a part. Cooper is so enthralled by the process of acting that it doesn’t even seem to bother him when directors turn him down. “I read for Scorsese for The Wolf of Wall Street,” Cooper told me. “But the part went to Jonah Hill.” As usual, he sounded upbeat.

Two more books from One Direction in 2014

HarperCollins will publish two new books from pop stars One Direction in 2014.

Non-fiction publishing director Natalie Jerome acquired world rights in a full joint autobiography of the group and One Direction: The Official Annual 2015 from Modest! Management.

Since releasing their first book with HarperCollins in 2011, One Direction have sold over 610,000 books in print through Nielsen BookScan. Their most recent book, Where We Are: Our Band, Our Story, was published in August, spending five weeks at number one in in the Sunday Times' hardback non-fiction chart.

There have been many mysteries surrounding the world of Spira, but Square Enix's latest Final Fantasy X-2.5 novella only makes matters worse. Written by Kazushige Nojima, the story of Final Fantasy X-2.5 ~Eien no Daishou~ (Final Fantasy X-2.5 ~Price of Eternity~) begins a few months after Final Fantasy X-2: The Last Mission, and ends about a half year before the 30 minute audio drama titled Final Fantasy X -Will-. This novel sequel has been loosely translated and shared with the internet, which brings us here tonight.

I will also include the English translation of Final Fantasy X -Will- and character sketches along with this entry - both taking place one year after X-2, which SE included with the Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster package. Box Office: 'Lone Survivor', 'Wolf of Wall Street' Square Off in Red State vs. Blue State Battle

The Navy SEALs battle is doing big business in America's heartland as it expands nationwide and could earn a stellar $28 million to $30 million for the weekend; "Wolf" continues to prosper on both coasts.

The North American box office is turning into a red state vs. blue state battle, with Thursday box office results showing Peter Berg's war drama Lone Survivor in a socio-economic split with Martin Scorsese's holdover The Wolf of Wall Street.

The two films ended the day in a near dead-heat, with Lone Survivor narrowly prevailing. The patriotic-themed film is doing so well that box office now insiders now believe it could earn $28 million to $30 million for the weekend, far more than expected and easily enough to topple Frozen, The Wolf of Wall Street and other films.

Taylor Swift in the market for a NYC address?

Screen Shot 2014-01-10 at 5.50.31 PM

Taylor Swift is on the hunt and this time it's not for a man — but a Manhattan address.
The “I Knew You Were Trouble” singer has been viewing apartments in Greenwich Village, looking to buy a downtown crash pad.

Renowned man-eater Swift, 24, spent Wednesday viewing a number of properties including a $12 million Leroy St. townhouse that was previously owned by “West Side Story” writer Arthur Laurents.
The playwright died in 2011, and his estate sold the property the following year for $10 million. It’s now back on the market for $2 million more, and our spies caught Swift walking through the 1850s four-bedroom redbrick beauty.

Katy Perry's 'PRISM' Hits 1 Million Sold In the US

Katy Perry has officially scored three million-selling albums.

Her newest effort, "PRISM," passed the 1 million sales mark this week, according to data from Nielsen SoundScan. The album sold 51,000 copies last week, bringing its cumulative tally to 1,020,000 in 11 weeks on sale.

The album follows 2008's "One of the Boys" and 2010's "Teenage Dream" in the million-selling category in the U.S. The latter took 20 weeks to hit that amount, going on to be certified double-platinum by the RIAA.

The success of "PRISM" stems from its first single, "Roar," which spent two weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100. While second single "Unconditionally" could only find a No. 14 peak, newest single "Dark Horse" rose 11-6 on the Hot 100 this week, becoming the singer's 13th top 10 hit.

The sales could keep coming in droves if "PRISM" yields more top singles. "Teenage Dream" hit the peak of the Hot 100 with five different singles, with the album's "Complete Confection" re-release adding a sixth in "Part of Me."

Britney on wardrobe malfunctions, forgetting to thank God, and Lucky!

They say the show must go on … and Britney Spears knows that better than most.

"The Insider" caught up with the singer backstage at the People's Choice Awards Wednesday night, where she won for favorite pop artist, and opened up about her recent wardrobe malfunction — which nearly became a full-blown wardrobe disaster!

Spears explained how what happened when her corset popped open a few days ago while she was singing "Circus" during her "Piece of Me" show in Las Vegas. In video from the performance, it's easy to spot the back of her top swinging wide open. It's also easy to see what a pro Britney is as her dancers swiftly swoop in to tie her up while she doesn't miss a beat of her song and dance.

"That's the attitude you have to have," she said of continuing to perform despite the breeze down her back. "The dancers were helping me with the back part of my dress. It was really kind of crazy."

Still, Brit Brit notes, that's showbiz. "It's what we do," she said.

Such a headline-grabbing moment didn't stop the mother-of-two from making the PCAs a night to remember. Not only was she stunning in a gorgeous Mikael D dress, but she also made her red carpet debut with current beau David Lucado. On top of all that, she also took home the sparkling Waterford Crystal trophy for favorite pop artist, which she made sure to gush about in her backstage interview.

"I've had a great support system throughout this whole year," she admitted. "My family has been wonderful … I've worked really hard, so I feel like I'm very proud of this. I'm very happy.”

Katy Perry, Miley And Lorde: Did 2013 Move Feminism Backward?

MTV News asked music experts and artists like Kate Nash and Screaming Females to weigh in.

Back in 2013, the "f" word seemed to be on everyone's lips. And when we say "f" word, we don't mean the term that gets bleeped out on TV — we mean "feminism." Yup, people sure seemed to dig that word last year as it related to music, but the question that never seemed to really get resolved was: What was feminism's deal in 2013?

Perhaps it all started when Katy Perry took the stage at the end of 2012 at the Billboard Women in Music event and stated: "I am not a feminist." Or perhaps it was the not-so-positive reactions to Robin Thicke's racy "Blurred Lines" song and video — and his subsequent turn onstage at the VMAs with a twerking Miley Cyrus — that stirred the pot to a boiling pot.
But those weren't the only murmurings of the word: Kathleen Hanna and Grimes praised Beyoncé for her inherent feminism during the VMA pre-show, months before Bey brought in feminist author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie to speak on her self-titled record. And then there was Selena Gomez stating, "That's not feminism," when Lorde expressed concern with the themes of "Come & Get It."

That's not to mention, of course, the thousands of think pieces on the above events, as well as open letters from the likes of Grimes, Kitty Pryde and Chvrches' Lauren Mayberry about the role of women in the music industry.

The dictionary definition of feminism is pretty clear — "the belief that men and women should have equal rights and opportunities" — but when the idea is actually applied to real life and, in particular, the arts, it seems the execution gets a bit muddled.

Amid all this talk of whether Miley's assertion that she's "one of the biggest feminists in the world" is false or true — and what the success of Bey's sneak attack album will have on women in music and music in general — MTV News hit up a cadre of experts to answer one question: "In 2013, did feminism take steps forward — or back?"

Amy Poehler: New 'SNL' hire Sasheer Zamata is 'an awesome performer'

It turns out Amy Poehler does want to talk about "Saturday Night Live's" hiring of Sasheer Zamata, the first African-American woman to join the cast in several years.

Poehler came to the TCA winter press tour Friday (Jan. 10) to promote "Broad City," a new Comedy Central series she executive produces. A reporter asked her about Zamata, who's affiliated with the Upright Citizens Brigade comedy troupe Poehler co-founded.

"I'm so glad you asked that. I recently did an interview where they misquoted me out of context, as if I passed to respond on Sasheer's hiring," Poehler says. "But I had done that interview many weeks ago and I had not got a chance to say congratulations officially to her."

The 26-year-old - who is known for her edgy style - was dressed in a simple yet festive crew-necked russet-hued jumper that brought out the red highlights in her recently cropped nut-brown hair.

‘Story of My Life’ Becomes One Direction’s Biggest Song on US Pop Radio Since WMYB

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

One Direction seems to have been on top of the pop music world for quite awhile but despite all their awards, their high charting songs, record breaking sales, and several UK top 5 hits, the boys haven’t had a massive hit on top 40 pop radio in the United States since their debut, “What Makes You Beautiful” in 2012, that is until now, according to Billboard. THAT'S WHAT HAPPENS WHEN U ONLY PROMOTE UR SINGLES ON TWITTER

This week “Story of My Life” becomes One Direction’s first song since WMYB to enter the top 10 on Billboard’s Nielsen BDS-based Pop Songs radio airplay chart. Previously, “What Makes You Beautiful” peaked at #3 in 2012 while their singles since have peaked between numbers 15 and 19 on the chart, which isn’t bad by any means and still pretty darn good compared to others. Those singles included hits like “One Thing,” “Live While We’re Young,” “Kiss You,” and “Best Song Ever,” all of which earned big sales and earned millions of viral hits online. “Story of My Life” comes in at #10 on that chart this week.

Gwyneth Paltrow Joins 'Glee's' Two-Part 100th Episode

Image and video hosting by TinyPic
Several original cast members will return to say farewell to Matthew Morrison's Will Schuester, with sources telling THR that the Fox musical will then do several consecutive episodes set in New York. (omg god fucking bless)

Glee's landmark 100th episode is poised to double in size as New Directions faces some world-shattering news.

Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that Gwyneth Paltrow is in talks to reprise her Emmy-winning guest role as substitute teacher extraordinaire Holly Holliday in the 100th episode, which has been expanded to a two-part event airing March 18 and 25.

The 100th episode will center on Jane Lynch's principal Sue Sylvester, who after years of disdain for the New Directions and Matthew Morrison's Will Schuester, finally succeeds in ending the glee club in Lima. Many original cast members -- Heather Morris (Brittany), Harry Shum Jr. (Mike), Mark Salling (Puck), Dancing With the Starswinner Amber Riley(Mercedes), Dianna Agron (Quinn) and Kristin Chenoweth (April), the latter of whom won an Emmy for her guest turn -- will return to say their final goodbyes to Will and each other in an episode that is said to be very moving. (Morrison is not exiting the series.)

The Fox musical will then do several consecutive episodes set in New York City, centering on Rachel (Lea Michele), Blaine (Darren Criss), Kurt (Chris Colfer), Sam (Chord Overstreet) and Mercedes (Amber Riley) and potentially other co-stars.

Sources tell THR that executive producers including Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan are still crafting the rest of season five and it's unclear what will happen to New Directions' current roster.

The 100th episode will still feature at least 10 new remixes of Glee's greatest hits as voted on by the fans who participated in the Fox contest.

Fox has already renewed Glee for a sixth season, which will likely be its last.

Glee returns to its new time slot on Tuesdays starting Feb. 25.

It’s no secret that Liam James Payne loves a good shirt. When it comes to wearing a suit, he’s a fan of the crisp white number that makes him look a bit like a fit doorman, and even in his more dressed down hours he can usually be spotted rocking a plaid bad boy around his waist.

But just when you think you know someone, he’s gone and set our heads into a spin by wearing something SO outlandish and jazzy that we’re not sure what to do with ourselves. We can only assume his New Years resolution was to ‘try new things’. LOOK.

Can't sleep, clowns will eat me

Returning to the director’s chair this year is Eli Roth, with his cannibal horror The Green Inferno, which premiered at TIFF (our review) and will hit theaters this fall. As to be expected, it won’t be the only feature Roth’s involved with this year, having built up an extensive producing slate. Today brings our first look at his latest, which should drill right into the fears of many viewers.

Based a fake trailer, we got word a little over a year ago that Roth was putting together a feature version of Clown, and now the trailer for the real film has landed. Directed by Jon Watts, the film stars Andy Powers as a father who puts on a clown costume for his son’s birthday, but a curse means he can’t take it off and, well, things go downhill from there. Also starring Laura Allen and Peter Stormare, it looks to contain some fairly haunting imagery and one can check it out below.

Clown doesn’t have a release date yet, but don’t be surprised to see it at a festival such as SXSW or Fantastic Fest in the coming year.

CBB: N-Dubz rapper Dappy gets into sexist argument "I'd rather be a pig than a slag"

It was a verbal battle of the most brutal kind, as Dappy and Luisa Zissman got into an argument over the sexual promiscuity of men and women in Celebrity Big Brother.

The N-Dubz rapper and Apprentice star had been discussing the amount of people they had slept with in one night, and the former made it clear that a woman was promiscuous if she had intercourse with multiple partners, while a man was just a 'pig'. Dappy said to Luisa and Jasmine Waltz in the garden: 'I'd rather be a pig than a slag.'

But the fight didn't end with him walking off, as the two came to blows once more in the kitchen, where Zissman accused him of being 'chauvinistic', as did American actress Jasmine.

Dappy kept demanding to know the number of men Luisa had herself slept with in one night, and followed the businesswoman around the house to get an answer.

'Tell me how many men you have slept with in one night. That's dirty, that's disgusting,' the London-born rapper shouted. 'It's none of your business what her number is,' Jasmine said defensively.

Luisa said Dappy's mother would be ashamed of him, which only made him more irate and belligerent. That's when he brought up her daughter. 'Imagine your poor little daughter what's she going to think, if she knew the men you slept with,' Dappy accused Luisa.'My mum told me that men can't do certain things that women do, and women can't do certain things that men can do.'

The 33-year-old vented about her frustrations during an impromptu Twitter chat with her fans on Friday.

One fan wrote in saying, "Why is it so hard to believe she works out hard for her body? Let her be skinny in peace! You look great!"
The message resonated with Kardashian, who has been the subject of media scrutiny regarding her body both pre and post-baby.

"Preach! LOL thank you," Kardashian responded. "It sucks when people make up surgery or photoshop lies when I am so disciplined & work so hard! Just trying to motivate others & show anyone struggling with weight they can totally achieve whatever they want if they are dedicated!"

This isn't exactly the first time (and it certainly won't be the last) that the E! reality star has spoken out about speculation that she's gone under the knife since giving birth to North West.

The new mother added, "Say what u want about me but I work hard & am the most disciplined person u will ever meet!"

Beyoncé Heading Back to No. 1 on Billboard 200

eyonce_-_Mrs._Carter_World_Tour_-_Boston-03fc0After a one-week vacation from the top slot on the Billboard 200 chart, Beyonce is heading back to No. 1.

The diva's self-titled set could sell around 85,000 to 90,000 copies by the end of the tracking week on Sunday, Jan. 12, according to industry forecasters. If it returns to No. 1, it will mark the fourth non-consecutive week atop the list for "BEYONCÉ.

Meanwhile, the current chart champ, the soundtrack to Disney's "Frozen" movie, will probably dip to No. 2 with around 75,000.

The "Frozen" set stormed to No. 1 this past week on the chart, selling 165,000 copies in the week ending Jan. 5, according to Nielsen SoundScan. It bumped "Beyonce" out of the No. 1 position after a three-week reign.

The top 10 of next week's Billboard 200 chart will be revealed on Wednesday, Jan. 15.

The highest new entry on next week's list will likely be rapper Kid Ink's major label full-length album, "My Own Lane," with around 40,000 or so. That should place it around No. 3 on the chart. It should be the only debut in the top 10 next week.

The rest of the top 10 should be populated with holdovers by the likes of Eminem's "The Marshall Mathers LP 2" (maybe 35,000), Lorde's "Pure Heroine" (30,000) and One Direction's "Midnight Memories" (25,000).
