A new Lana Del Rey remix has hit the web! “Born To Die (Urban Noize Remix),” created by South Florida production duo Urban Noize, mixes Lana Del Rey’s “Born To Die” with Jay-Z’s “Don't Let Me Die."
The remix is the final release from Urban Noize’s Jay-Z and Lana Del Rey remix EP called “American Beauty,” released November 5.
“This remix will serve as a bonus cut from our recently released Lana Del Rey & Jay Z remix EP American Beauty. And on the Born To Die remix, we’ll see the story arc of Lana’s original record expounded up on with deep, retrospective confessional verses from Jay Z,” Urban Noize writes on their Facebook page.
StupidDope writes of the new song, “The track finds them pairing Lana and Jay Z once more, again flawlessly doing so and giving us something infectious and incredibly dope to feast our ears upon. The track is built around Lana’s original track ‘Born To Die’ with Jay Z adding his two cents towards the end of the cut. Dope remix fellas.“
Fans may not have to wait too much longer for a new, non-remixed Lana Del Rey song: Del Rey announced the title of her new album, “Ultraviolence,” at the premiere for her short film “Tropico” earlier this month.
"I really just wanted us all to be together so I could try and visually close out my chapter before I release the new record, ‘Ultraviolence,’” Del Rey told the crowd.
The new album title is a reference to Anthony Burgess’ 1962 novel “A Clockwork Orange” and the 1971 film adaptation by Stanley Kubrick.
The announcement took fans by surprise, as Del Rey had previously talked about quitting music and had even called “Tropico” her “farewell project.”
"When people ask me about it [a new album], I just have to be honest--I really don't know,” Del Rey said in an interview for Nylon’s November issue.
“I don't want to say, 'Yeah, definitely--the next one's better than this one,' because I don't really hear a next one. My muse is very fickle. She only comes to me sometimes, which is annoying."SOURCE
