It appears there are more important things than getting interviewed by the iconic Barbara Walters following the claims that Duck Dynasty's Phil Robertson decided to go hunting instead of attending an interview with the iconic newswoman.
“Tell him I have never been superseded by a duck before,” Walters quipped during the special, according to a transcript of the interview obtained by FOX411. The special will air Wednesday on ABC.
“He would rather shoot ducks than talk to us, yes?” Walters mused.
Miss Kay attempted to explain her husband’s decision to the famed interviewer.
“Oh yes. Between, uh, November and January, I told him I didn’t ever plan to die then, because, he may not be at my funeral,” she said with a laugh.
The Robertson family told Walters it isn’t the first time Phil has opted out of a big event in favor of hunting. Jessica, Jep’s wife, also spoke to Walters alongside her mother-in-law.
“Well, he missed the birth of Jase, Missy’s husband, because he was in the duck line and he wouldn’t leave…” she recalled. “And so yes, he missed the birth of his son.”
Kay jumped to her husband’s defense, explaining that he was “very young and immature” at that time.
But they won't be the only ones Barbara will be interviewing on the TV special as the legendary newswoman will sit down with the “girl on fire” Jennifer Lawrence. Meanwhile, the queen of twerking, Miley Cyrus, and power couple Kim Kardashian and Kanye West also made the list.

A Comic Relief sketch starring Rowan Atkinson as a fictional Archbishop of Canterbury is the most complained-about TV moment of the year so far.
Ofcom received 487 complaints from viewers that the monologue was offensive. It featured Atkinson comparing boy band One Direction to Jesus' disciples and claiming prayer "doesn't work".
However the regulator stated in July the sketch was not in breach of rules, saying it was justified by the context.

Superstar couple Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling are taking a break in their relationship after it was decided they were moving too fast, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.
The 2 Fast 2 Furious actress and The Notebook hunk haven’t officially split, but, “there was a realization before Thanksgiving that they took things way too fast and were rushing toward a marriage that neither of them particularly needed,” a source told Radar.
“They’ve decided to take a break to reevaluate their romance.”
Still, according to the source, Gosling, 33, is the one who is undecided, but “Eva wanted to have his babies.”
The movie beauty, 39, has been Gosling’s girlfriend for more than two years.
The source tells Radar that Gosling has been laying low because he’s coming off a flop movie, Only God Forgives, but he has big things planned for 2014, including the release of his directorial effort, How to Catch a Monster, co-starring Mendes.
“The real question is how Eva is going to figure into Ryan’s plans,” the source noted.

He’s lusted after by millions around the world so these news pictures of James Franco are sure to cause a stir.
The multi-talented supermodel handsome star was filming a Ford commercial in Los Angeles on Tuesday wearing a dapper dark suit and holding a white rose as he swooped around on a harness.
Franco, 35, looked every inch the gorgeous movie star as he floated on the wires, although what that has to do with Ford motors is anyone’s guess.

Just when we thought we knew everything about the ladies from Teen Mom 2, MTV goes and drops multiple major bombshells in the fifth season trailer. As per usual, the arguably biggest shocker came from Jenelle Evans.
“It would be selfish to Jace if I had another child. I decided that I am going to get an abortion.”
Based on the beach background and short sleeves, it was pretty obvious Jenelle wasn’t talking about the pregnancy that ended in January 2013. But, just to be sure, I looked back at area temperatures from the week Jenelle supposedly suffered a miscarriage and did confirm a cold front held the high temperatures below 50 degrees.
So, when did Jenelle Evans get an abortion? And whose baby was she carrying?

Charlotte Casiraghi has given birth to her own little prince, named Raphael, says the palace in the principality. Casiraghi, 27, and her boyfriend, actor-comedian Gad Elmaleh, 42, released a statement that Raphael was born in Monaco Tuesday. Sources tell PEOPLE the birth was around 9 p.m.
In a surprise "tickle," as one source put it, the palace communiquéé added that "grandmothers are doing well."
The baby is the second great-grandson of the late Princess Grace and the second grandson of Princess Caroline – after Andrea Casiraghi's son Sasha.
( Collapse )
A Monaco palace source explains that the line about the grandmas was a "little joke from the parents." In case anyone is wondering, mother and baby are doing well, too. "Everyone is very happy here. It is good news," the source tells PEOPLE.
It is the first child for equestrian and Gucci model Casiraghi and a second for Elmaleh, who is father to son Noé. The couple met via mutual friends two years ago. Princess Caroline "gets my jokes," Elmaleh told PEOPLE earlier this year.
Clearly thrilled about the impending birth, he added: "There's lots of joy and excitement. I'm at a certain point in my life where building a family is very important."
lmfaooooo he is high as fuck
The actor will not go quietly into the night. The star of ‘Friday Night Lights’ has endured sleeping on the subways of New York City and blockbuster bombs. Now he’s back as a Navy SEAL in ‘Lone Survivor.’ He opens up about his crazy road to Tinseltown.
Hidden intensity. That’s how filmmaker Peter Berg describes his discovery—and cinematic muse—Taylor Kitsch.
The 32-year-old Canadian actor has made a career out of playing the brooding, tortured hero, be it as football stud Tim Riggins during the first few seasons of television’s Friday Night Lights, which played out like Cain and Abel lite, or as a former Navy SEAL-turned-marijuana baron suffering from PTSD in Savages. It’s this quality, compounded by high cheekbones, a model bod, and steely gaze—that propelled Kitsch to “next big thing” status. In 2010, he was named to The Hollywood Reporter’s annual ‘Hollywood A-List Redefined’—a coterie of talented young actors that the movie industry was pushing towards stardom. The leading-man roles followed in the back-to-back 2012 blockbusters John Carter and Battleship. Both films came with heavy price tags—$250 million and $210 million, respectively—and both suffered from awful pre-release buzz. It was all but inevitable that they’d tank at the box office, and when they did, the blame seemed to be placed squarely on Kitsch’s broad shoulders. “Is Taylor Kitsch’s Blockbuster Movie Career Already Over?” asked Gawker. “Is Taylor Kitsch box office poison?” wrote Yahoo!
“It was disappointing,” says Kitsch, of the films’ receptions. “We’re storytellers and you want people to enjoy it, and not be jaded before they even fuckin’ go into a movie. There are all these preconceived things nowadays about movies, which is total bullshit.”
But the reports of Kitsch’s career death have been greatly exaggerated. In Lone Survivor, in theaters Christmas Day, he delivers a gripping turn as Lt. Michael P. Murphy, the fearless leader of an elite group of Navy SEAL snipers who were deployed to the hills of Afghanistan in 2005 to kill a suspected Taliban leader. “Murph,” along with fellow snipers Danny Dietz (Emile Hirsch), Matthew Axelson (Ben Foster), and Marcus Luttrell (Mark Wahlberg), find themselves caught behind enemy lines, surrounded on all sides by enemy combatants. The film is written and directed by Berg—who wrote the part for Kitsch—and adapted from Luttrell’s nonfiction tome of the same name.
To prepare for the role of Murph, Kitsch gave it his all. He spent considerable time with Luttrell and Murph’s friends and colleagues, learning of the late soldier’s “dry sense of humor” and leadership qualities. He went out drinking with SEALs, and admits they all drank him under the table. He also put on over 20 pounds of muscle doing an exercise dubbed “The Murph.”
“It’s no joke,” he says with a chuckle. “It’s all for time, no breaks: a one-mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 sit-ups, and another mile—with a weighted vest. I’d do that a few times a week, and then do 3-5 mile trail runs with a weighted backpack.”
“Taylor got huge,” adds Wahlberg. “He’s a really dedicated actor.”
In person, Kitsch is a lot more laid back than the badasses he plays onscreen. It’s a chilly New York afternoon, and when I meet him, he’s got a big, demented smile on his face.

Why He's Sexy: It's obvious that he's got that whole tall, dark and handsome thing going on, but it's Tim McGraw's tender love for his wife Faith Hill and their three daughters that makes him one of the hottest country singers around. This sex appeal is only intensified when you listen to his heartfelt hits like 'Don't Take the Girl,' 'Just to See You Smile' and 'My Little Girl.' Plus, even though the years keep passing by, nothing seems to age McGraw's chiseled jaw line and rockstar abs. At 46, he just keeps getting better with age -- we can't imagine how handsome he'll be at 60! Sexy seniors, anyone?

A new album is set to follow in early 2014.
Shakira’s first single from her upcoming studio album will be released in January, Sony Music Entertainment has announced.
The album, the superstar’s first on Sony label RCA, is set for an early 2014 release. Shakira has said in interviews that the new recording, her first since 2010’s “Sale el Sol,” is dedicated to Spanish soccer player Gerard Piqué, her partner and the father of her son Milan.
The title of the single and the album are currently unknown -- though Shakira confirmed on Twitter Dec. 8 that she has shot a video for the song with director Joseph Kahn (Mariah Carey and Miguel's "#Beautiful," Eminem & Rihanna's "Love the Way You Lie").
Though it's currently unconfirmed, the new album is also rumored to have a duet with Rihanna.
Move over Liam Neeson, there’s new older leading male actor ready to slum it in a modestly budgeted Euro thriller produced and co-written by Luc Besson: Kevin Costner. That’s right, Superman’s Dad is ready to rumble abroad and the first trailer for “3 Days To Kill” is here to show off what he’s up to. Co-starring Amber Heard, Hailee Steinfeld and Connie Nielsen, and directed by McG, the film finds Costner playing an elite government hitman who quits his day job after he learns that he has a terminal disease, and decides to try and build a relationship with his estranged wife and daughter. But when his agency offers him an experimental, potentially life-saving drug in exchange for one last mission, he takes the gig, pitting him against a ruthless terrorist. Insert: special set of skills etc. “3 Days To Kill” opens next year.

The rumors were true. Saturday Night Live held secret auditions to cast a black comedienne.
When SNL premiered on Sept. 28, fans were dismayed to find that of the six new cast members added to the 39th season of the show, none were black women. This year marks the sixth year SNL has lacked a black comedienne. In the show's 38-year history, there have been only four black female cast members.
Media backlash against the lack of diversity on the show seems to have lit a fire under SNL producer Lorne Michaels, and the show is now, albeit quietly, casting for a black female cast member. According to the New York Daily News, there are three finalists in the search.
Why all three of them can't be cast is beyond us, but expect to see one of these funny ladies much, much more often.

Lostprophets singer Ian Watkins has been sentenced to 35 years for child sex offences including the attempted rape of a baby.
Watkins, 36, from Pontypridd, pleaded guilty to 13 child sex offences at Cardiff Crown Court in November.
On Wednesday, the court heard he was "deeply deeply sorry" and "belatedly realised the gravity of what happened..
But Mr Justice Royce said the case broke "new ground" and "plunged into new depths of depravity".
Watkins, who will serve 29 years in jail, was sentenced alongside two women, mothers of the abused children, known as Woman A and Woman B, who also pleaded guilty to child abuse charges at a hearing in November.
Woman A was jailed for 14-and-a-half years and Woman B was sentenced to 17 years in prison.
So glad he got a decent amount of years, he's a monster and I hope he never makes it out.

After already reaping notice for his performance in “Her,” Joaquin Phoenix could be working with Warner Bros. again on the studio’s biggest property.
Sources tell Variety that the studio wants the Oscar-winning actor for a role in the upcoming untitled Batman-Superman pic. However, it’s very early in the process and even if Warners offers Phoenix a role, it’s not clear he would accept as the actor has steered clear of big-budget pics in the past few years, leaning towards movies with a more prestige feel.
Phoenix is also weighing an offer on the Gus Van Sant pic “Sea of Trees” and is believed to still be considering that offer as well.
Though sources couldn’t confirm what the role is, it’s believed to be for the main antagonist, which is likely to be Lex Luthor. Names like Jason Momoa and Callan Mulvey have been linked to the film but even if those actors are cast, sources are saying that they wouldn’t play the main villain, and that Warners has always wanted someone who would be a slam dunk in the role.

Cinematographer Rodrigo Prieto made the eight-minute film, called “The Likeness,” with his 19-year-old daughter, Ximena, who became anorexic in her early teens. Prieto’s work includes award-winning films like “Brokeback Mountain,” “Argo,” and the forthcoming “The Wolf of Wall Street,” yet he says this short film is as important to him as any of those acclaimed full-length features. He was first approached by Candescent Films to create it as part of a series of shorts with a social message.
In the first third of the film, the viewer follows the camera through a dark and disturbing house party: In one room, a naked body, partially covered by a thin sheet, is sprawled over a small table. In another, a brunette in her underwear lies still on the floor; next to her, a naked woman is crouched over to fit into a drawer, her eyes staring blankly ahead. Later, an orderly helps a unresponsive young woman stagger down a hallway.

After months of speculation, Paul Rudd has landed the lead in Marvel’s “Ant-Man” and is now in negotiations to play Hank Pym, multiple sources have told TheWrap.
Representatives for Marvel and Rudd had no comment.

Hugh Jackman is in negotiations to play the villainous pirate Blackbeard in Warner Bros.’ forthcoming Peter Pan origin film “Pan.”
Joe Wright is directing the adventure tale from a script by Jason Fuchs.
WB had gone to Javier Bardem for the role but the actor passed and the studio pursued Jackman shortly after that.
Jackman had been in discussions for a handful of films before committing to “Pan” including the antagonist in Warner Bros. “The Incredible Mr. Limpet” remake.
The origin story revolves around an orphan who is taken to the magical world of Neverland where he becomes a hero to the natives and leads a revolt against the evil pirates.
The idea is that Blackbeard is the film’s main antagonist while Hook would serve as Pan’s close ally before turning bad. Ryan Gosling was someone the studio had looked at among others for the part.
The Weinsteins Are Demanding Huge Cuts And Voiceovers Before They’ll Release ‘Snowpiercer’
Snowpiercer, the latest movie from Bong Joon-ho (Korean director of acclaimed cult classics like The Host and Mother) has been picking up stellar reviews and impressive box office receipts wherever it’s been released. Unfortunately North America is not on the list of places Snowpiercer has been released, and that may not change anytime soon if something doesn’t give.
The Weinstein Company owns the North American rights to Snowpiercer and they want to make changes to the film to make it more palatable to the unwashed American masses, but Bong Joon-ho is resisting. What kind of changes are we talking about?
Well, for one the Weinsteins want to lop 25-minutes off the movie, and it’s not like the movie is three hours long to begin with (it’s a little under two). Basically the cuts would eliminate any sort of character development or nuance. They also want to cover the movie with explanatory voiceovers, possibly written by Neil Gaiman (although you’d kind of hope Gaiman would respond with, “Oh, just give it up Harvey” if asked).
Even more frustrating, the Weinstein company is actively blocking people in North America from seeing the original version of the film — Bong Joon-ho’s production company has sent his version of the film to various North American film festivals, but the Weinsteins have forbidden them from even looking at it. Lawyers from both sides are now involved, which is never a good thing.
The saddest part of all of this, is how unnecessary it all is. Snowpiercer isn’t an impenetrable subtitled art film. It’s a Hunger Games-esque, Haves vs. Have-nots action movie starring Captain America that’s mostly in English. Unfortunately give the Weinsteins an inch and they’ll cut a mile.
Snowpiercer's been out for a while here in France and I can confirm what the author is saying. It's a fairly smart movie, but it's far from obscure and has no pacing problem.
Since then, of course, it has come to light that Mitchell is alive and well; he makes his presence known through various social media sites and the sporadic press appearance. Mitchell just hasn’t worked with his former co-star—who’s been a regular cast member on Saturday Night Live for 10 years—since their seminal show ended in 2000. Reports quote Mitchell as saying Thompson wants nothing to do with him anymore, but that hasn't stopped online GIF-compiling campaigns from attempting to reunite the beloved duo.
But besides these suggestions of a falling-out with Thompson, little has been reported at all about Mitchell’s life in the past decade—a startlingly different story from his former costar, whose work on SNL gets watched and shared by millions almost every weekend (Thompson went viral yet again this week). Mitchell's disappearance from the public eye has remained a mystery, causing fans and Internet rumor-mongers alike to ask, Whatever happened to Kel from Kenan & Kel?

As announced late last night, Nirvana have been voted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. This was the first year that the iconic grunge band was eligible for a nomination, and along with Kiss, Peter Gabriel, Hall & Oates, Linda Ronstadt and Cat Stevens, Nirvana will be immortalized at the Hall’s 2014 induction ceremony. In response, Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic and drummer Dave Grohl have responded to the honor.
Back in October, we learned that Nirvana were nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, and the general feeling was that Nirvana’s induction was bound to happen. Nirvana’s sophomore release, ‘Nevermind,’ is arguably the most impactful record of the last 25 years, beginning the grunge movement and selling over 30 million copies worldwide. Nirvana’s music has remained timeless, as young music fans continue to discover the Seattle group to this day.
“For once… I’m speechless,” says Dave Grohl of Nirvana’s induction. ”From the basements, to the dingy clubs, to the broken down vans, to… the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. I’d like to thank the committee not only for this induction, but also for recognizing Nirvana for what we were: pure rock and roll. Most of all, thank you to all of the fans that have supported rock and roll throughout the years, and to Kurt and Krist, without whom I would not be here today.”
Krist Novoselic adds, “This is a great honor. Thank you to the people who nominated and voted for us. Thank you most of all to Kurt Cobain. And to everyone who’s kept Rock music going strong for 60 years and counting.”
The 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. on April 10. Tickets for the event going on sale in January.
Quick! Where were you last Tuesday at 6:35 PM?

This is that data. You know how Google Now can auto-magically figure out where you work and warn you about traffic? This is the data that makes that possible (or at least a good chunk of it.)

"‘My brothers got £5, I got £2.50…’ and other celebrity Christmas gift nightmares"
The Christmas shopping season is in full swing, which means disappointment is on the cards for many of us come December 25.
Yes, by the time we’re out of our teenage years, the thrill of opening our gifts on Christmas morning is replaced by wondering how quickly we can take our haul of ill-considered, slapdash, stocking-filler rubbish to the charity shop.
But it’s the thought that counts and ingratitude is an ugly thing – so even a pound-shop knife set, Tasmanian Devil inflatable soap dish or light-up, musical, revolving, plastic orchid in a case (all presents once opened in my house) must be greeted with a cheery smile. You can always follow the example of these celebrities and moan about it to other people later.
The X Factor judge Nicole Scherzinger
One of my aunts gave me a broken Christmas ornament. My mom told me off for complaining about it. She said: ‘Nicole, that’s not very nice, it’s the thought that counts.’ It was a sled that was supposed to have a Santa Claus on it but he was missing. It wasn’t cool. What sort of kid wants a Christmas ornament as a present anyway?
Singer Leona Lewis
I get random stuff from my aunties, who still think I’m a teenage girl. They’ll give me books aimed at teenagers or random make-up that’s totally not my colour. It’s a bit bizarre as they obviously still see me as a 13-year-old. I got those Point Horror books last year. I always pretend I love them, which gets me in trouble. Maybe I need to start saying: ‘It’s time to stop sending me the Twilight books and time to start getting me better reading material.’

What's the worst Christmas present you've ever received, ONTD?
Outspoken Pink Floyd rocker Roger Waters has angered Jewish leaders by comparing the current state of Israel with that of Nazi Germany.
The singer compared the ongoing struggles of Palestinians to Adolf Hitler's mass killings of Jews during the Holocaust in the 1930s and 40s.
"There were many people that pretended that the oppression of the Jews was not going on. From 1933 until 1946. So this is not a new scenario. Except that this time it's the Palestinian people being murdered," Waters told left-wing CounterPunch magazine in a recent interview.
Waters' comments in his interview angered the Jewish community, with American Rabbi Shmuley Boteach blasting the musician in an article he wrote for the New York Observer.
"Mr. Waters, the Nazis were a genocidal regime that murdered six million Jews," Boteach wrote. "That you would have the audacity to compare Jews to monsters who murdered them shows you have no decency, you have no heart, you have no soul."
Waters was also blasted by the CEO of England's Holocaust Educational Trust Karen Pollock, who told Britain's Observer, "Everyone is entitled to an opinion and to advocate passionately for a cause, but drawing inappropriate parallels with the Holocaust insults the memory of the six million Jews - men, women, and children - murdered by the Nazis. These kinds of attacks are commonly used as veiled anti-Semitism and should be exposed as such."
The star has had a long-running disdain for the country over its treatment of Palestinians in the past and has boycotted the nation, refusing to perform there. He's also urged other musicians to follow his lead.
God fucking damn it Roger when will you to learn to shut your mouth on this issue? smh.
A&E has placed Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson on indefinite hiatus following anti-gay remarks he made in a recent profile in GQ.
"We are extremely disappointed to have read Phil Robertson’s comments in GQ, which are based on his own personal beliefs and are not reflected in the series Duck Dynasty," A&E said in a statement. "His personal views in no way reflect those of A+E Networks, who have always been strong supporters and champions of the LGBT community. The network has placed Phil under hiatus from filming indefinitely."

Batman vs. Superman will feature the return of Henry Cavill as Superman, facing off against Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne. In addition, the film will mark the big screen debut of Wonder Woman as played by Gal Gadot.
Production on Batman vs. Superman will begin early next year at the Michigan Motion Picture Studios in Pontiac where it will occupy all seven sound stages on the lot in addition to several locations around the state. Also starring Amy Adams, Diane Lane and Laurence Fishburne, the Zack Snyder-directed Batman vs. Superman hits theaters on July 17, 2015.
I admit that I'm biased in favor of Karmin - I haven't actually really liked most of their music, but I know Amy. “I believe in marriage for everybody,” Julia explains to Life & Style, on newsstands now.
“It should be as difficult to get married as it is to get a driver’s license,” she jokes to the mag. “Less people would get married.”
She adds every marriage has its own secret to success and happiness. So what is Julia and Danny’s secret to wedded bliss?
“Making out every day!” she admits to Life & Style. “Think about it!”
