Duck Dynasty Christmas Album Outsells both Britney & Gaga, oops

The stars behind the reality show sensation Duck Dynasty already conquered television and the literary world, so it's not a shock to see them outsell some of the biggest names on the music charts.

Duck the Halls: A Robertson Family Christmas sold more copies this week than both Britney Spears' latest album Britney Jean and the sinking fast disk from Lady Gaga, ARTPOP.

Halls, released Oct. 29, trumped Spears' album even though the latter came out Dec. 3.

Kevin Federline is a lot of things, and one of them is fertile .... baby #6 is in the oven ... TMZ has learned.

Sources connected to the fetus tell TMZ ... Kevin's wife, Victoria Prince, is 6 months pregnant with their second kid. Check out the photos and behold the subtleties -- Victoria is wearing a jersey that says "Juan Moore Federline 6."

Kevin famously has 2 kids with ex-wife Britney Spears, and 2 more with baby mama Shar Jackson.

He truly is Papa ZOW!

Why did Britney Jean flop?

There's just no getting around it, Britney Spears' latest, Britney Jean has failed to launch. The singer's eighth studio album hit the Billboard 200 album charts with a whisper this week, landing
at an all-time-low #4 with the softest first-week numbers in Spears' career at 107,000 copies, according to figures provided by Nielsen SoundScan.
That marks only the second time Britney has not shot straight to #1 and it bests her previous first week low, set in 1999 by her debut, ...Baby One More Time, which moved 121,000.
So, what happened? MTV News spoke to some experts to dissect why Spears' loyal fans sat on their hands during week one.

Evangeline Lilly On Her 'The Hobbit' Love Triangle

When Evangeline Lilly took the role of Tauriel in “The Hobbit” franchise, she had one condition – no Kate from “Lost”-esque problems.

“For the record, when I took this job, in 2011, I made one stipulation. That’s it. I just said… I swear to God, I said, ‘I will not do this film if you will not guarantee me one thing. You have to guarantee me there will be no love triangle.’ And there wasn’t. For the whole time I shot. For a year of shooting there was no love triangle,” Evangeline told Access Hollywood when we asked her at the film’s recent Los Angeles junket about how in “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug” she has a blond and a brunette to choose from, just like Kate did on “Lost.”

“And then, I came back for reshoots in 2012 and they were like, ‘Well, we made a couple of alterations to some scenes and we added a couple more scenes,’” the actress continued. “And all of a sudden manifested a love triangle before my very eyes and the film was shot and I’m in and there’s no getting out and there was no escaping it.”

Cara Delevingne shares video of models twerking backstage at VS Fashion Show

Skärmavbild 2013-12-12 kl. 03.31.11

They're blessed with good looks and enjoy rewarding careers.

But it seems models Doutzen Kroes and Joan Smalls boast one further attribute - they can dance, or more precisely, 'twerk.'

And it's Cara Delevingne who has revealed their talent, after sharing a video of the pair twerking backstage at the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show in November.

'I was saving this ass video until last!' she wrote. 'Take it away @doutzen @joansmalls @victoriassecret! X'

In the video, the models - clad in their trademark pink and white striped robes - took turns to wow their fellow angels, who can be heard laughing and encouraging them as they danced.

'Come on b***hes, go!' Delevingne can be heard shouting. 'In a line! Turn it out!'

Oprah: Why I Never Wanted to Raise Children

Shortly after the Fruitvale Station star revealed to The Hollywood Reporter that she's content with the fact that her "eggs are dying on the shelf," Oprah Winfrey spoke to the same magazine and explained that she, too, does not regret a life without her own children.

"If I had kids, my kids would hate me," Winfrey, 59, told THR. "They would have ended up on the equivalent of the Oprah show talking about me; because something [in my life] would have had to suffer and it would've probably been them."

Pirates Of The Caribbean 5 May Have Found A Villain In Christoph Waltz

We know that a fifth Pirates of the Caribbean movie is coming. We know it’s going to be subtitled Dead Men Tell No Tales, and is expected to reach theaters in 2016. And now we’re starting to hear the grumblings of casting rumors… some that makes sense, and others that are surprising (and more than a little exciting).

Obviously, Johnny Depp is on the hook to reprise his Oscar-nominated role of Capt. Jack Sparrow, which he has played in four Pirates movies dating back to 2003. Today, London’s Daily Mail cites a source close to the production who says that Keith Richards has signed on to once again play Sparrow’s father in the sequel, which will begin filming in October.

But the rest of the Daily Mail report has us scratching our heads. The publication claims that Christoph Waltz (Django Unchained, Inglourious Basterds) "may" play the sequel’s main villain. He would be a ghost named Captain Brand, who is racing Sparrow on a quest to claim The Trident, a valuable (but vague) piece of equipment. Brand has a grudge to settle with Sparrow, because he believes Depp’s infamous pirate turned his brother into a pirate, which led to the innocent man’s death.

The Daily Mail has been known to run with unverified rumors, so take this news with a grain of salt. Waltz would be a wild card. He’s fit a mold established by past Pirates villains. Ian McChane played Blackbeard in On Stranger Tides in 2011, and Geoffrey Rush has made a small fortune playing Barbossa opposite Depp in the various Pirates movies. At the moment, Waltz is busy filming the dark comedy Horrible Bosses 2 for director Sean Anders. And we’ll next see him in the Muppets sequel Muppets Most Wanted. He’d be an excellent fit for a Pirates movie, and could reign in Depp’s camp. But for now, until we hear confirmation from Disney, treat this as a possibility, and hope for the best.

the daily mail says christoph is "interested in playing Brand, but no commitments have been made yet." now i know this is the daily mail but we all know how much christoph likes these roles so who knows tbh. christoph bb... no.

Megyn Kelly From Fox News: Both Jesus AND Santa Were White, So Stop Complaining

12-12-2013 9-11-13 AM

Here's an important lesson to all the youngsters out there, courtesy of Fox News: Both Jesus AND Santa Claus were white.

During her show last night, Fox News' Megyn Kelly addressed a Slate article that argued that Santa Claus should no longer be portrayed as a white man. Maybe he should be a penguin instead, argued Aisha Harris, the Slate writer. Kelly's reaction? Nope.

"By the way, for all you kids watching at home, Santa just is white but this person is just arguing that maybe we should also have a black Santa," Kelly said, before briefly pausing to acknowledge that she can sort of kind of understand how that might be painful for a black child. But only kind of sort of. "Just because it makes you feel uncomfortable doesn't mean it has to change," she added.
But she didn't stop there. She went on to address Jesus' race. You know, the Semitic fellow allegedly born in the Middle East 2000 years ago.

"Jesus was a white man, too," Kelly said. "He was a historical figure. That's a verifiable fact — as is Santa. I just want the kids watching to know that. My point is, how do you just revise it in the middle of the legacy of the story and change Santa from white to black?"

But let's back up a second. Jesus' whiteness is a "verifiable fact" as is... Santa's? The fictional character parents lie to their children about every year? Hmm.

Erykah Badu Fronts Givenchy’s New Campaign (More Models Of Colour To Be Featured).

Riccardo Tisci is known, among other talents, for having one of the keenest eyes in casting. So when he puts an unexpected face in his ad campaigns for Givenchy, the world takes notice. Expect tremors on this one. Presenting the new star of the label’s Mert & Marcus-shot campaigns: neo-soul singer Erykah Badu.

“Erykah, she’s an icon—come on!” Tisci said by phone from Paris. “What I want to do with my advertising campaign is spread the love. Already now it’s been three seasons that I’ve been using people that express something—they are great artists, or beautiful women, or stylish women, or models that I really believe in. It’s kind of a family portfolio.”

Tisci had known Badu slightly but had never worked with her. Still, he said, he’d had her image in the back of his mind when he was designing the Spring 2014 collection, a mash-up of African and Japanese influences. “She’s one of the most stylish women I’ve met in my life,” he said. “She’s got such a good sense of proportion, of colors.”

Golden Globes: TV's Biggest Shockers and Snubs

The 2014 Golden Globe nominations are here! And while we're totally unsurprised (but pleased) by the nominations for Breaking Bad, Kerry Washington (Scandal) and James Spader (The Blacklist), there were plenty of shockers and gut-wrenching snubs.

Here's our take on the TV side:

1.Tatiana Maslany: Sound the alarm. It finally happened! Tatiana Maslany, who plays multiple characters on BBC America's Orphan Black, was the biggest oversight from the 2013 Emmys, and the 2014 SAG Award nominations, and the Globes voters have finally made it right with an acting nod. She's doing six times the work, and nailing every single moment of it. If you've seen even a few minutes of her on this addictive series, you know that based on challenge and merit alone, Maslany should win the award. But for now, we'll just celebrate the long overdue nom finally coming to fruition!

Mandela memorial sign interpreter has schizophrenia

A South African sign language interpreter accused of gesticulating nonsense during the Nelson Mandela memorial service has stated he is qualified but was hallucinating and hearing voices and said he is receiving treatment for schizophrenia.

Millions of TV viewers saw Thamsanqa Jantjie interpreting speeches by Barack Obama and other global leaders at the FNB stadium in Johannesburg. His gestures baffled and angered deaf people around the world, with experts saying he did not know even basic signs such as "thank you" or "Mandela".

"There was nothing I could do," Jantjie, 34, told South Africa's Star newspaper on Thursday. "I was alone in a very dangerous situation. I tried to control myself and not show the world what was going on. I am very sorry. It's the situation I found myself in."

Jantjie said the episode meant he was seeing things and hearing loud voices in his head, impairing his ability to hear and interpret the speeches. But he could not leave so he persevered. "Life is unfair. This illness is unfair. Anyone who doesn't understand this illness will think that I'm just making this up."

He did not know what triggered the attack, he added, saying he took medication for his schizophrenia.

R. Kelly Announces Christmas Album

R. Kelly’s Black Panties may not be an appropriate stocking stuffer for everyone on your Christmas list, but next year, he plans to give a gift that the whole family can enjoy. The R&B icon is working on his first Christmas album, and he gave Rap-Up TV the exclusive details.

“I’m working on a Christmas album right now called the 12 Nights of Christmas and it’s gonna be a lot of lovemaking,” said Kellz. “I come with that bearing gifts.”

He started recording the album last year, but doesn’t plan to release it until 2014. “I started it last Christmas actually, but I don’t believe in just putting out a Christmas album just to sell records. It has to be the next ['This Christmas']. In order to get that and capture that moment, you have to take a couple of Christmases and then you come with it.”

In the meantime, he has contributed a new holiday song called “Christmas I’ll Be Steppin’” to The Best Man Holiday soundtrack.

Samuel L. Jackson in talks to join Alexander Skarsgard & Christoph Waltz in 'Tarzan'

For a moment this summer, David Yates‘ Tarzan looked like it could be shut down for good. But now that it’s back on track, it seems to be chugging along at a good speed.

The Edgar Rice Burroughs-based adventure has been amassing quite an interesting cast, with Alexander Skarsgard attached to play the King of the Jungle and Christoph Waltz on board for the villain. The latest addition to that roster could be Samuel L. Jackson, who’s officially entered talks after circling the project early on.

Damian Lewis says sorry to Sir Ian McKellen over Gandalf jibe

Homeland actor says he is hugely embarrassed that remark about 'over-the-top, fruity actor' was taken to refer to McKellen

The Homeland actor Damian Lewis has apologised to Sir Ian McKellen after saying he did not want to end up a "fruity actor" who is known for playing wizards.

Lewis, 42, admitted he was "hugely embarrassed" after McKellen, 74, who plays the wizard Gandalf in the Lord Of The Rings and The Hobbit films, responsed acerbically in the Radio Times.

Lewis issued a statement on Wednesday night, saying: "I am hugely embarrassed that comments of mine have been linked in a negative way to Sir Ian McKellen. I have always been, and continue to be, an enormous fan and admirer of Sir Ian's.

"He's one of the greats and one of the reasons I became an actor. My comment in the Guardian was a soundbite I've been giving since 1999 – it was a generic analogy that was never intended to demean or describe anyone else's career. I have contacted Sir Ian McKellen and have given him my sincerest apologies."

The 25 Best Video Games of 2013

Ladies and gentlemen, the Xbox One is hungry, and it can only be satiated by devouring all of your discs. Many, including myself, knew they had made the correct budget-friendly next-gen console launch-day decision when videos like that started appearing, a satisfying send-off to the previous gaming cycle for Sony fanboys and fangirls who put all their stock in the PlayStation 4 and let the chips fall where they may. With the PS3 and Xbox 360 entering the halls of gaming relics, 2013 will likely come to be known as the year of forward movement filibustered by a final burst of impressive current-gen titles. The PS3 arguably received its two most defining games in the form of The Last of Us and Grand Theft Auto V, both master classes in maxing out the hardware before it becomes obsolete.

It's impossible to argue with the fact that, even with the too-close-for-comfort November releases of the PS4 and Xbox One, 2013 was extraordinarily frontloaded in terms of top-notch product flooding into the marketplace. The first quarter alone brought the likes of DmC: Devil May Cry, Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, Antichamber, Fire Emblem: Awakening, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Etrian Odyssey IV: Legends of the Titan, Tomb Raider, God of War: Ascension, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, and Bioshock Infinite. All terrific games that either landed on our annual best-of list or were in firm contention. In the aftermath, there was a mild drought that made the summer somewhat of a letdown for gamers, so it was off to the cinema with the lot of them until August, when the skies opened up and Pikmin 3 hit the scene, charismatically watering the parched gaming landscape. Leave it to Nintendo to save the day, right? It's kind of their thing now.

Disney Channel announces new live-action movie introducing the teen descendants of Disney villains

In a present day idyllic kingdom, the benevolent teenaged son of the King and Queen (Beast and Belle from Disney’s iconic Beauty and the Beast) is poised to take the throne. His first proclamation: offer a chance at redemption to the trouble-making offspring of Cruella De Vil, Maleficent, the Evil Queen and Jafar who have been imprisoned on a forbidden island with all the other villains, sidekicks, evil step-mothers and step-sisters. These villainous descendants (Carlos, Mal, Evvie and Jay, respectively) are allowed into the kingdom to attend prep school alongside the offspring of iconic Disney heroes including Fairy Godmother, Sleeping Beauty, Rapunzel and Mulan. However, the evil teens face a dilemma. Should they follow in their nefarious parents’ footsteps and help all the villains regain power or embrace their innate goodness and save the kingdom?

Kenny Ortega, the Emmy Award-winning director and choreographer of Disney’s record-setting High School Musical TV movies and feature film, returns to Disney Channel to direct Descendants.

2014 Golden Globes Nominations Prove the Uselessness of Dividing Films Into Comedy and Drama

Despite the second-tier nominations getting an early push in recent weeks, Awards Season has officially started with this morning’s Golden Globe nominations. The expected suspects are all there: Steve McQueen’s 12 Years a Slave and David O. Russell’s American Hustle both received seven nominations, and Gravity, Inside Llewyn Davis, Nebraska, and The Wolf of Wall Street all pop up in multiple categories. There’s little surprise here, although the Globes’ picks — split between comedy and drama — prove that it’s difficult this year to separate the major award-grabbing films into either category.

Saturday Night Live Hosted "Secret" Auditions for a Female Black Castmember

One of the ongoing storylines of this transitionary season of Saturday Night Live has been the lack of diversity amongst the new cast members. After losing Bill Hader, Fred Armisen, and Jason Sudekis, the show brought six new faces on board as featured players—except all six are white, and only one is female. But the show has been trying to respond to the criticisms both on air and behind-the-scenes: it seems SNL held a secret audition last week specifically for female black comedians.

Actress Bresha Webb told the Jasmine BRAND about the showcase, which was held at LA’s Groundlings Theater: "The audition came about from an inside source from SNL. I don’t think any of us had a clue about the showcase until two days prior. It was an awesome opportunity even though it was such a short notice but, if you stay ready you ain’t gotta get ready and we were READY! Lol But we were all honored to be selected."

"I found out that I was on a list of funny women in the industry and there was an opportunity for me to audition for SNL last summer," Webb added, "but, I was filming “Love that Girl” and now the opportunity has represented itself." Other comedians trying out included Tiffany Haddish, Simonne Shepherd, and Darmirra Brunson.

With Seth Meyers leaving the show for Late Night soon, it's entirely plausible the show could bring one more featured player on for the second half of the season in 2014. And then maybe we won't have sketches like this anymore.

Stevie Nicks & Christine McVie talk friendship and rock 'n' roll double standards

Through all Fleetwood Mac's years of druggy excess and bitter breakups, the friendship between Christine McVie and Stevie Nicks never faltered. They talk about addiction, sexism – and how they can't wait to play together again.

September 2013, and Stevie Nicks is about to perform Landslide at the O2 in London, where Fleetwood Mac are playing three nights. Before she does, though, she has a dedication to make. "This is for my mentor. Big sister. Best friend," she says, and there are precious few people in the venue who don't know she's talking about Christine McVie, her fellow female bandmate and the Mac's keyboard player, as well as one of its singers and songwriters from 1970 until she quit in 1998.

It is not the first time Nicks has talked about McVie. In 2009, she told the audience at Wembley Arena that she thought about her "every day". Earlier this year she admitted to the Observer: "I'd beg, borrow and scrape together $5m and give it to her in cash if she would come back. That's how much I miss her!"

This time, though, was different. When it came to the end of the band's set, McVie stepped onstage with them for the first time in 15 years to run through Don't Stop, her enduring anthem about staying positive in the aftermath of a breakup.

"It was like falling off a bike," McVie says when I meet her in her south London apartment, a beautiful space situated so close to the banks of the Thames that it feels as if we're floating above it. "I climbed back on there again and there they all were, the same old faces!"

However, in their attempt to destroy Will, they inadvertently become the catalyst for him to succeed—to be a participant in his own transcendence. For his wife Evelyn (Rebecca Hall) and best friend Max Waters (Paul Bettany), both fellow researchers, the question is not if they can…but if they should. Their worst fears are realized as Will’s thirst for knowledge evolves into a seemingly omnipresent quest for power, to what end is unknown. The only thing that is becoming terrifyingly clear is there may be no way to stop him.

MTV's Exclusive Interview With Jenelle can confirm that Jenelle Evans of “Teen Mom 2” is expecting a child with boyfriend Nathan Griffith this summer. The 21-year-old spoke with us exclusively about the big news, saying she’s “feeling good about it” despite a ’round-the-clock case of morning sickness. “I’ve been exhausted this whole first trimester,” she shared.

Evans is also mother to 4-year-old Jace, who’s currently under the custody of his grandmother, Barbara. She and Griffith met in June on a dating app and bonded immediately over their similar parenting struggles (Griffith has a 2-year-old daughter named Emery).

“His ex-wife’s parents have guardianship [of Emery], kind of like the situation I’m in,” Jenelle explained. “He was like, ‘No one understands the situation I’m in and that I deal with,’ and I said that I could relate to him. We both have to deal with our parents to deal with our children.”

’90s Fashion: 15 (5) Iconic Moments We’re Still Talking About

There’s a major movement in contemporary fashion back to the 1990s-era trends: plaid prints, shirts tied’ round the waist, blocky silhouettes, and a general “we don’t give a f–k,” grunge-inspired attitude. Even models are coming back in vogue, with Kate Moss in full force perhaps more than ever, with a Playboy cover, a pending role on the U.K. version of “The Face,” and even a new role as fashion editor at Vogue.

With the ’90s coming back in pretty much every way, we had a huge urge to look back at some of that decade’s most iconic fashion moments. From Cher and Dionne’s unabashed playfulness in “Clueless” to, yes, Moss at her prime, we’re still obsessed with pretty much everything that happened in fashion in the ’90s.

2. The masterpiece that was "Clueless." From the moment Alicia Silverstone's Cher hit the screen, her all-plaid-all-day wardrobe—and penchant for name-dropping designers like Azzedine Alaïa and Calvin Klein—earned its permanent place in our sartorial hearts.

Tom Hardy Post!

Tom Hardy is singing "all the time" as he prepares to play Sir Elton John.

'The Dark Knight Rises' actor will portray the legendary musician in new musical biopic, 'Rocketman', and he admits he has been taking extensive singing lessons to get ready for the film's numerous musical numbers.

Quizzed whether he's had vocal training, he said: "Oh, all the time. I'm always singing."

The star also revealed production on the film is still in the early stages but Elton, who is co-producing the feature through his Rocket Films production company, has been in touch.

Hardy explained to BANG Showbiz: "It's all sort of under the radar at the moment, to be honest, but yes, I am [talking to Elton]."

'Rocketman', which is being directed by Michael Gracey, will tell the singer's story from young child prodigy to musical icon.

Elton will re-record some of his classic songs for the film's soundtrack, but it's not yet known whether Hardy's favourite song will make the cut. He added: "My favourite Elton song, I think it's 'Honky Cat'."

Hardy was speaking at The Sun Military Awards, which took place last night (11.12.13) at the National Maritime Museum in London.

Peaches Geldof might want to give Derek Acorah a call, because it looks like she's got a ghost that needs hunting.

Demi Moore Sells Enagement Ring From Ashton Kutcher

Demi Moore’s divorce from Ashton Kutcher may have only been final for less than a month, but she’s already getting a fresh start by selling her $250,000 engagement ring. Demi sold the ring to a Beverly Hills jeweler, all in the name of starting over. “Ashton broke her heart. Anything that reminds her of him makes her sad, and she wants to be happy,” a source close to Demi says.

Demi’s certainly well within her rights to claim a new beginning, especially since Ashton’s been dating Mila Kunis for the past 18 months. Besides, it’s been 2 years since Demi and Ashton officially called it quits after their six year marriage. “Demi says she's now at peace with the divorce but she felt she needed to clear her head of any negative energy,” the source adds. "She insists she is fully cleansed of Ashton and is even ready to welcome Mila into her life."

Evangeline Lilly claims organic diet helped ease depression

Actress Evangeline Lilly has credited a strict organic diet with helping her overcome clinical depression.

The Lost star suffered mental health issues for several years before deciding to overhaul her food intake, and she is adamant that eating only organic and unprocessed products helped her beat the condition without medication.

She tells, "I have battled clinical depression and have come out of the other side. I've been free of it for many years now.

"Finding the place in my own mind and heart to win that battle without using medication, finding the place within myself where I could be alive again, that was one of the biggest challenges I've faced.

"Going from eating whatever to eating primarily organic food, I was astounded what a difference that made. After about a year or two years, I started to feel something physically lift out of my brain, and I believe it was all the chemicals I was probably ingesting (before)."

Lilly claims maintaining a positive attitude also aided her recovery, adding, "I would rather pretend to be happy than allow myself to be miserable. It's sort of the idea of 'fake it till you make it'. Put on a smile until you believe your own smile. That's a big part of it."

Arctic Monkeys crack Hot 100 for first time

Arctic Monkeys have scored their first ever Billboard Hot 100 hit as the band continue their latest North American tour.

"Do I Wanna Know" arrives at No 99, incredibly the first time the Alex Turner-fronted outfit have appeared on the countdown, despite all four of their studio albums having charted on the Billboard 200. The track hit a new sales peak in the States last week and has to date sold around 160,000 units there, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

"Do I Wanna Know"'s US progress is also being powered by the strongest radio support there yet for the Domino act. It climbs 9-6 on Billboard's Rock airplay chart, while progressing 16-13 on Hot Rock Songs and remains at No 3 on the Alternative Songs chart.

The band's latest North American tour started in Vancouver in Canada with two dates on December 1 and 2 and has since moved across the border. It continues until December 14 when they play in Kansas City, then takes a Christmas break before resuming in Miami on January 30. It winds up in Minneapolis on February 14.

The Arctic Monkeys' Hot 100 breakthrough follows AM becoming their highest-charting album yet in the US, debuting and peaking at No 6. It moves back up 121-89 on the chart this week.

Daniel Bruhl reacts to his Golden Globe Nomination

Daniel Bruhl hopes more people now see 'Rush'

Talk about thrilled. "I don't even know what time it is," says Daniel Bruhl, who was nominated for his first Golden Globe this morning, after his SAG nomination yesterday. "I'm in Vienna jumping up and down. People call me Niki Lauda here. They don't call me Daniel."

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The star takes on the infamous Lauda in racing movie Rush, and the two became friends during production. "I can't wait to call him," says Bruhl. "He's such a competitive guy. I think he will be happy and pleased that I got a nomination."

It's been a big year for Bruhl, who is gaining international fame with Rush and also starred alongside Benedict Cumberbatch in The Fifth Estate. "It's been a roller coaster really," he says. "I can't wait to celebrate Christmas with my mom and my girlfriend in Spain and analyze and digest it all, because it's been so intense. For me, it's the first time that I've been offered important parts in American movies."

While Rush recouped its investment, it failed to dominate the box office in the U.S. Bruhl hopes that the Globes attention helps attract more of an audience to Ron Howard's '70s racing story of the intense rivalry between Lauda and British driver James Hunt.

"These nominations of course give me hope that more Americans will see the movie," he says. "Maybe people at first were not interested because they didn't know the story, but once people see it, they love it, and it makes me very happy. Especially for Ron, because he did the best job with it. I would say it's one of the best films in that genre ever."

Beyoncé's new album available NOW on iTunes!

NEW YORK, Dec. 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Parkwood Entertainment/Columbia Records -- The fifth solo studio album from Beyoncé is now available worldwide, exclusively on the iTunes Store ( The self-titled set is the artist's first visual album. BEYONCÉ is infused with 14 new songs and 17 visually stunning, provocative videos shot around the world from Houston to New York City to Paris, and Sydney to Rio de Janeiro, all before the album's release.

"I see music," says Beyoncé about her decision to create a visual album. "It's more than just what I hear. When I'm connected to something, I immediately see a visual or a series of images that are tied to a feeling or an emotion, a memory from my childhood, thoughts about life, my dreams or my fantasies. And they're all connected to the music."

That the album is available on the day the world is learning about its release is an unprecedented strategic move by the artist to deliver music and visual content directly to her fans when she wants to and how she wants to, with no filter. This unique approach allows music fans to be the first to listen, view, engage and form their own opinions void of any middleman. In the age of social media and an insatiable appetite for direct communication, this is the answer to the question asked over and over again, when is Beyoncé's next album coming?

"I didn't want to release my music the way I've done it," she states. "I am bored with that. I feel like I am able to speak directly to my fans. There's so much that gets between the music, the artist and the fans. I felt like I didn't want anybody to give the message when my record is coming out. I just want this to come out when it's ready and from me to my fans."

Stripped of gimmicks, teasers and marketing campaigns, this project is truly about art before hype.
Starting now, BEYONCÉ is available globally and exclusively on the iTunes Store (
For an artist who has been the target of leaks, this is a fully designed preventative plan. The album will be offered as a cohesive body of work with every song and every video available all at once for one single purchase.

While not a concept album, the record is designed to be consumed as a comprehensive audio/visual piece from top to bottom. The antithesis of making singles, the visual album is a non-linear journey through the thoughts and visions of Beyoncé.

Manufacturing of physical albums begins today and the double disc CD/DVD will be available at retail in time for the holidays.

Facebook exclusively premieres Part One of "Self-Titled," a mini doc feature that gives a glimpse into the entire project. It details her mind-set and artistic vision throughout the making of BEYONCÉ. By embracing an ever-evolving digital landscape, she creates an innovative, fully immersive, multiplatform experience for the first visual album of her career, completely changing the way her fans will consume music.

Not one to stand on past achievements, this is an artist who thrives on evolving, challenging herself and raising the bar. This creative process gave Beyoncé power over her music and provided an opportunity to control how the music is heard. She is not playing by the rules and breaking what is expected, preferring to put music out as an entire body of work.

Beyoncé, wearing multiple hats as writer, producer and director, put together a genius team of artists, songwriters, producers and video directors for her visual album that include JAY Z, Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, Pharrell Williams, Drake, The Dream, Sia, Ryan Tedder, Miguel, Frank Ocean, Hit Boy, Ammo, Boots, Detail, Jake Nava, Hype Williams, Terry Richardson, Melina Matsoukas, Jonas Akerlund, Ricky Saiz, Pierre Debusschere, @lilinternet, Noah "40" Shebib, Francesco Carrozzini, Caroline Polachek, Ed Burke, Bill Kirstein and Todd Tourso.

She recorded all over the world for a year and a half but the initial recording started after the writers and producers gathered under one roof in The Hamptons, New York's beach enclave, in the summer of 2012 to live together, work together and to immerse themselves into her world and into her head. The fans that have grown up with the performer, mature and seasoned enough to relate to the content and the shared experiences, inspire the music, with themes that explore love, loss, fear, anger, honesty, happiness, sexuality and confidence.

For the videos, some of which she co-directed, she preferred to work with a more care-free formula. Shot primarily during her successful "Mrs. Carter Show World Tour," the videos were veiled in secrecy, even though they were filmed in open places, including a beach in Brazil, the streets of NYC, on the famed Cyclone Rollercoaster in Coney Island, New York, downtown Los Angeles, a chateau in Paris, a roller skating rink in Houston, Texas where she skated as a child, and a beautiful church in South America. She mixed up the creative, going for big and small and set out on shoots eager to capture the spontaneity and honesty in every moment. The videos are visually stimulating, charged with visionary cinematography and clever storytelling. They capture every side of who she is, complete with vulnerability and imperfections.

BEYONCÉ is an explosive sonic and visual communiqué to music fans from an artist who has earned the right to do things on her terms. "I just want to give my album to the people I love and respect and hope that they feel the same thing I felt when I made the music," said Beyoncé.

I cannot.
