Andy Kaufman May Really Be Alive, Suggests New Reports

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Thanks to his utterly bizarre yet completely transformative character work and penchant for pulling large-scale pranks, Andy Kaufman is exactly the kind of person who you would expect to fake their own death - and as a result has been the subject of many conspiracy theories ever since his reported passing in 1984.

Hell, even director Milos Forman added an interesting question mark scene about Kaufman's death at the end of his 1999 biopic Man on the Moon. Now a new chapter has been written in the decades long conspiracy theory, however, and if this new report turns out to be true it means that Kaufman has spent the last 29 years of his living in obscurity with a wife and family. Defamer picked up the story from The Comic's Comic, and it's quite an interesting tale.

The story begins at the 9th annual Andy Kaufman Awards, which were held on Monday night at New York's Gotham Comedy Club. While on stage, Michael Kaufman - Andy's brother - began to talk about his sibling's legacy and then revealed that he doesn't actually know if Andy is alive or dead.

Read the whole story cause it's a good one. I desperately want this to be true, but this is one hell of a bizarre/masterfully executed prank if it isn't (which is obviously most likely).

Lady Gaga: Pulls Out All The Stops To Prevent Flop Album

Lady Gaga seems afraid that her new album might tank, so she’s taken the proper precautions to ensure it’s “success”.

By, inking multiple deal to promote ‘ARTPOP‘ Gaga has successfully made the public aware that the album exists. But, it seems as if the masses aren’t buying into it (pun intended).

While, the album rose to number one in most countries, it fell out of the top spot just as quickly .

Things aren’t all bad in the land of Gaga though, Billboard expects the album to move around 260-275K units and debut in the number one spot.

When you consider Gaga‘s last release moved somewhat of 1.1M copies during it’s first week, these numbers are abysmal. But,her previous release only sold that much because of Amazon’s 99cent deal, which sold roughly 400K copies.

This time is no different because Gaga is back up to her old tricks, pulling multiple Gimmicks in order to increase album sales.

A list of all the schemes the ‘ARTPOP‘ era has bring upon us already:

‘Totally Biased’ Cancelled

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

FXX is pulling the plug on Totally Biased With W. Kamau Bell. The relatively young talk show, one of a handful of originals that made the move from parent network FX in the recent spinoff, has been canceled after two seasons, The Hollywood Reporter confirms.

The nightly talker, from Bell and executive producer Chris Rock, received a warm reception in 2013 but struggled to find viewers without an original lead-in during most of the week. Airing at 11 p.m. on the young cable network, the show was available in 72 million homes -- 26 million fewer than FX. Defamer was first to report the news.

Katharine McPhee and Michael Morris no longer seeing each other (for now)

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

It's been a rough fall for Katharine McPhee.

On Oct. 22, the former American Idol finalist was caught in a lip-lock with Michael Morris, who directed her in the now-canceled NBC musical series Smash – even though both were married to other people.

Now, a McPhee source tells PEOPLE, "Katharine is no longer seeing Michael – at least for now."

In fact, the actress' marriage to Nick Cokas, her husband since 2009, is still in a state of limbo. Despite the fact that McPhee and Cokas have been separated for months, "Katharine still has no plans to move forward with divorce at the moment, though they are not living together," adds the source.

Meanwhile Morris's wife, former In Plain Sight star Mary McCormack, prefers to keep her focus on her daughters – Lillian, 2, Rose, 6½, and Margaret, 9.

"Mary is a strong woman," a second source tells PEOPLE. "Her dedication to her children will remain her focus and gift.”

Amid all the uncertainty, one thing is true, says the McPhee source: "This is an incredibly hard time for Katharine."

Tom Hardy Reveals He's Been Wearing Elton John's Clothes

In preparation for playing the '70s rock icon in the biopic "Rocketman," the actor tells THR he's been trying on Elton's old clothing -- he's especially a fan of track suits.

Turning up in early November at the American Film Market to tout the project, Hardy -- accompanied by John -- revealed he's been wearing the pop icon's actual clothes to get into the mood (he especially likes John's iconic tracksuits). Hardy even asked to borrow John's watch.

"The two met up after Cannes in May and really hit it off," says Joe Drake, whose company Good Universe is selling Rocketman (due to shoot in fall 2014) internationally.

John Waters is perfect, water is wet

Cult film director John Waters is headed to New York next month for his annual Christmas Show, a hilarious yuletide one-man extravaganza that's cemented his celebrated status as "the filthiest man alive." We caught up with the "Pope of Trash" this week and dished about everything from the dive bar scene in his native city of Baltimore to his least favorite Christmas presents.

Are there any wild stories we can expect at the Christmas Show this year?
Plenty of them, seventy minutes of them. Everything from the presents I want for Christmas, holiday music that I wish would come out, rap Christmas songs that aren't out. I talk a lot about my hatred of the Easter bunny. I talk about inappropriate gifts to give people, Christmas TV specials I'd like to have, Christmas movies I'd like to make like "Prancer,"—that one was a gay reindeer, I don't know why they never thought about it before. How I'd remake all my own movies into Christmas shows.

And the rudest thing you can ever give anybody: a fruit basket. I can buy a goddamn pear. I'm always shocked when I open one of these. Who would dare send me ten pears?

I can buy a pear, you know? It's not so hard to find a pear. I think gift baskets should be drugs or cigarettes, things you'd never buy for yourself.
I don't take drugs or smoke cigarettes anymore, but I think a gift basket filled with them would terrific.

A pear. How dare you think I'd—you know, I'm always shocked when I get them. I said it at my Christmas show last year and Marianne Boesky did send me ten pears, which I thought was really funny.

After we put out this interview, everyone's gonna send you pears.
Oh, that's alright. You know, send me candy, though, or anything. My mother, who is a very, very straight lovely woman, we looked back on this: when I was young in my Easter basket I used to get a carton of Kools surrounded by black jellybeans.

Cinematic polymath James Franco for Dazed & Confused December 2013: The New Video Visionaries

Moving image is no longer the domain of directors and massive movie studios. Architects, choreographers, artists, poets, mathematicians and essayists are all experimenting in the medium, creating an unprecedented amount of pioneering visual art in the process.

This movement has inspired Visionaries, a landmark new online series on Dazed Digital launching November 18. We’ve enlisted over 50 auteurs – including Björk, Apichatpong Weerasethakul and Kim Jones – to take over our video section for a week at a time, premiering their own original work alongside newly commissioned films from their favourite artists.

There will be no rules or censorship. You might see a fashion film created by a scanner, a documentary about Berlin’s cam boys, a short film about a future city whose inhabitants can hack into its architecture, or, courtesy of our first curator, cover star James Franco shot by Josh Olins and styled by Robbie Spencer, a surreal self-directed art film about a masked couple who invade a gallery and run riot with a ton of paint. Each week a new provocateur will premiere their own original films and newly commissioned work by their favourite collaborators. From the Chapman Brothers and AG Rojas to Matt Lambert and many more, our Visionaries are pioneers in their fields, hungry to push the boundaries of moving image as an artform.

Jennifer Hudson Receives Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

From “American Idol” to the Walk of Fame, Jennifer Hudson has cemented her status in Hollywood history. The Oscar winner received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Wednesday. She was joined by her family including her husband David Otunga, their four-year-old son David Daniel Otunga, Jr., and sister Julia.

Her musical mentor Clive Davis and songwriter Diane Warren were on hand to honor the 32-year-old singer, as well as her Black Nativity collaborators Jacob Latimore and Raphael Saadiq.

She fought back tears as she spoke to the crowd. “I knew I would get emotional, and I’m sure my mom is in heaven like, ‘Jenny, stop crying,’ but now is the time to cry mama,” said J-Hud. “It’s an amazing honor as we all know, and I did not see it coming.”

The gracious Hudson was humbled by the moment. “It’s one thing to be in this type of position, but it doesn’t mean anything if you can’t make a difference in the world and help someone,” she continued. “Everytime we go out, we make sure we treat everyone like family. So with that being said, I’m so honored that all my family is here with me today.”

She stars in Black Nativity, which opens in theaters on Nov. 27. Just this week, she released a lyric video for her T.I.-assisted single “I Can’t Describe (The Way I Feel),” with her album to follow in early 2014.

NYPost: Lady Gaga should focus less on stunts, more on music.

Feeling tired? Irritable? Does the mere mention of words like “art” or “pop” give you a migraine? There’s no need to call your doctor, because Dr. Phull (music critic and in-house physician at The Post) can diagnose you right now. You’ve got a severe case of Gaga-itis. I should know. I’ve got a pretty strong dose of it myself. And man, it’s a killer.

The promotional campaign for Lady Gaga’s fourth album has been relentless. In the past two weeks alone, she’s cried at the YouTube Awards, been seen wearing a flying dress at her “Art Rave,” announced she’ll be singing in space and talked endlessly about an app that very few people are going to use. It’s been like an increasingly annoying Banksy residency — but with no end in sight.

Mark Wahlberg Wasn't Talking About Tom Cruise

After a screening of the new film "Lone Survivor" on Tuesday night, star Mark Wahlberg blasted actors who brag about their training programs, especially when compared to the work of soldiers and military personnel.

"For actors to sit there and talk about, 'Oh I went to SEAL training'? I don't give a f-ck what you did," Wahlberg, who plays former Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell in "Lone Survivor," said at the AFI Film Festival in Los Angeles. "You don't do what these guys did. For somebody to sit there and say my job was as difficult as being in the military? How f-cking dare you, while you sit in a makeup chair for two hours."

On Wednesday, some outlets connected Wahlberg's commentary to recent statements allegedly made by Tom Cruise, where Cruise compared acting and spending time away from his daughter to being a soldier in Afghanistan. Cruise's comments, however, were taken out of context, as TMZ reported on Monday, and he would later scoff at that juxtaposition.

Stopped by TMZ on Wednesday, Wahlberg was asked if his comments were made at the expense of Cruise.

"I didn't know that it was Tom Cruise who had said that," Wahlberg said. "Somebody had just mentioned that people were comparing [acting and being in the military]. I love Tom Cruise. He's a great actor. I have the utmost respect for Tom Cruise, but I have the utmost respect for military guys; it's just unfair for anybody to comment on that."

Mariah Carey is a perfectionist, and someone on her team is getting fired

Hey Lambs, I have to tell you this, I can't do what I always do and say nothing at all. It is 3:30am (11.14), and I'm sitting on my bathroom floor, very upset by some news I just got from a close friend and employee. Lucky her, she was "nominated" to deliver this message to me after the long awaited 11.11 moment and the Jimmy Fallon show, knowing how upset I would be. Not because the world has come to an end or something, but because this 11.11 listening party was so important to me on a core level as a musician, who cares so much about how my fans hear my music for the first time that I didn't even allow a snippet to be released until 11 on the dot.

To cut to the chase, a mistake was made by a brand new sound engineer whose only task was to press the space bar and upload the song to Facebook, while my team, and an incredible group of people from Facebook, partied while listening to the properly mixed & mastered version of "The Art of Letting Go" on repeat from my iPod on my home speakers. Clearly, I was focused on answering your questions during the Q&A. There was no reason for me to wonder if the final mix we were listening to in that room together was different than what you were listening to!!!!! Like I always say, I am involved with every record I make, from the inception to the completion of the song. Every nuance of the beat or vocal matters to me. Even if the differences may seem slight to you, I had put time, effort and emotions into "The Art of Letting Go" and the real mix is how I intended for you to hear the song.

Rather than remove the old version from Facebook (the iTunes version is the real one), I just figured I would put up the real mix and allow you to listen to it back-to-back, should you choose to do so and tell me what you think the differences are.

I want you to hear it like you're hearing it for the first time with me, and I will answer any questions that you have, pertaining to the song. You know that I don't comment on gossip, I typically don't respond to things like this or go into so much detail to the world, but this is something I'm upset about and I wish I would have known sooner.

There's no doubt in my mind that this sounds like a self absorbed diva on a "woe-is-me" tangent about a couple of ad libs or some other triviality, but the reality is this is me, focusing solely on the record, wanting you to hear it and experience it the right way. I love and appreciate you so much for taking the time to even glance at this 20-page "diva in distress" thesis. Thank you for letting me vent, this is another reason why Facebook rocks! You'll be hearing from me soon. Here is the REAL version of "The Art of Letting Go".

Answers these questions for me:
1. Can you hear a difference at all?
2. Can you see why I like this version better?
3. Where can you hear the differences?
4. Does the song affect you different emotionally after hearing the real version?

Let's talk about it, I'll be here waiting!

Paul McCartney Asks Russian President to Free Greenpeace Protesters

Paul McCartney is calling on Russian President Vladimir Putin to release Greenpeace activists whom Russian authorities detained in September. In a letter McCartney posted on his website, the singer assure Putin that Greenpeace is not anti-Russian and that the 28 activists arrested while staging a protest at a Russian oil-drilling platform in the Arctic Ocean were not working at the behest of western governments.

"In my experience they tend to annoy every government! And they never take money from any government or corporation anywhere in the world," McCartney wrote in a letter that opens informally with, "Dear Vladimir."

Russian authorities initially charged the protesters, and two journalists who were with them, with piracy and hooliganism, though the piracy charges have since been dropped. The 30 people arrested still face a maximum of seven years in prison on the hooliganism charge. Two days ago, the arrestees were transferred to prisons in St. Petersburg.

McCartney's letter, dated October 14th, also underscores that the protesters "don't think they are above the law." He asks, "They say they are willing to answer for what they actually did, so could there be a way out of this, one that benefits everybody?" McCartney acknowledges that the presidency and Russian government are separate but asks Putin to consider weighing in on the matter.

The former Beatle references the band's "Back in the U.S.S.R." in his letter. "That song had one of my favorite Beatles lines in it: 'Been away so long I hardly knew the place, gee it's good to be back home.' Could you make that come true for the Greenpeace prisoners?"

Before signing off, he requests a meeting with Putin "when our schedules allow."

The musician and recent Rolling Stone cover subject is not the first public figure to inquire about the Greenpeace arrests. Eleven Nobel Prize laureates also wrote a joint letter to Putin in October, protesting the piracy charges, which would have carried a maximum of 15 years in prison. Their inquiry was not cited as a reason those charges were dropped.

In a preface to his letter, McCartney wrote that he had not yet heard from Putin, but the Russian ambassador replied by saying the situation is "not properly represented in the world media." The former Beatle added that he would love for the arrestees to be home in time for Christmas.

Key & Peele Help Jon Stewart Identify Racism On 'The Daily Show'

Jordan Peele and Keegan Michael Key were Jon Stewart's guests on "The Daily Show" Wednesday night, but the stars of "Key & Peele" came out early to participate in a panel discussion regarding whether certain words spoken and written by politicians and the media are racist, or not racist.

The segment is broken into two parts below: in part one, Jon Stewart introduces the "Racist Or Not Racist" panel, and in part two, Key and Peele are brought in as impartial judges.

One of the stories they targeted was a column in the Washington Post by Richard Cohen. Cohen wrote, "People with conventional views must repress a gag reflex when considering the mayor elect of New York, a white man married to a black woman and with two biracial children." Both Key and Peele agreed that this statement was clearly racist ... against white people.

They went on to explain, "He's giving white people no credit. Basically, he's saying, Hey, you got to cut the Tea Party some slack because they can't think straight because they are trying too hard not to vomit when they see a black guy with a white girl, right?"

The panel then moved on to the final topic, but as soon as Stewart said Sarah Palin's name, everyone shouted, "Racist." However, after seeing a clip wherein Palin compares the national debt to slavery, everyone on the panel changed their answer to variations of the word, "Stupid."

Brother, can you spare 6.5 million for Yoko Ono?

Nearly 20 years ago, Yoko Ono, like any good mother, bought her son the penthouse apartment at 49 Downing Street in the West Village. He only lived in the place for a few years, but Ono hasn't tried to sell the co-op until this year. She's currently battling the board in court?she says they're trying to impede the sale?but a new listing has popped onto the market that looks like the unit she's trying to sell. Public records provide no info on the owner, but it's the only penthouse and the listing details match previous reports. The brokerbabble aptly describes the 5,700-square-foot place as a "rare," "one of a kind" property. It's located in a former horse stable, and the interior has been transformed into a modern live/work abode with original wooden beams and columns, exposed brick, and working fireplaces. There are three bedrooms, a large kitchen, lots of storage, a terrace, a greenhouse, and a rooftop deck. It's currently listed for $6.5 million, down from $8.995 million when it was de-listed in July.

More pictures of the place at the source.

It looks overpriced at 6.5 million.

More on the lawsuit here. A little bit more here, but not a lot.

Hugh Jackman on 'The Wolverine' sequel, Neill Blomkamp's 'Chappie,' musicals he's eyeing

Just as The Wolverine claws its way toward DVD/Blu-ray on Dec. 3 (with a Digital HD release on Nov. 19), talk is heating up about a possible sequel. For his part, star Hugh Jackman has neither confirmed nor denied whether he’ll sign on to play muttonchopped mutant Logan for an eighth time… but the odds are looking good. “I was on the phone with Jim Mangold last night,” Jackman told EW. “There are some really cool ideas that I’m dying to tell you, but that would be giving away a secret that is not even [fully] formed yet.”

Jackman insists that his lapsing contract with Fox, which reportedly will need to be renegotiated after X-Men: Days of Future Past premieres in May, doesn’t mean he’s leaving the franchise in limbo. “I started with a two-picture deal on the first two [X-Men films], and from that point on, it’s been movie by movie — not just me, but Fox and Jim and everyone,” he says. “I do want to do it with Jim and with [producer] Lauren Shuler-Donner because we had such a great experience. I’m really proud of The Wolverine.”

JoBros Perform in Mexico Without Kevin Jonas After Band Breaks Up

The Jonas Brothers officially disbanded in October, but the pop supergroup reunited on stage one last time during the Telehit Awards Concert on Wednesday, Nov. 13. Only two of the three members showed up for the performance in Mexico City, however: Joe Jonas, 24, and Nick Jonas, 21.

So where was Kevin Jonas, 26? "Kevin is focusing on his business ventures," a source close to the musical trio tells E! News exclusively. "As announced earlier, the band is no longer together. However, the guys had made a commitment to Telehit and wanted to keep that commitment."

Kevin is also gearing up for the TeenNick HALO Awards, which he will cohost on Sunday, Nov. 17.

Prior to taking the stage, Joe and Nick did an interview with Telehit. They made no mention of Kevin's absence. "It's a lot of pressure," Nick said of performing with Joe for the last time. "We actually didn't know that until just a couple of minutes ago. We were actually surprised by that. But it'll be great. The fans here are always amazing. We've played the venue before and it's always a good time."

"I think there's always a little nervous energy when you go out on stage," Joe added. "I'm just excited to get out there."

The siblings were then asked if they would rather date Miley Cyrus or Selena Gomez—which was a bit awkward, given that Nick has romanced both singers in the past. "You just stirred up a lot more drama than you think," he replied. "So we prefer to stay neutral. We're Switzerland in the situation."

The only time Joe and Nick spoke of their older brother was when they discussed holiday plans. "Because Kevin is obviously about to have a baby soon, we obviously want to be with him. We also want to be with our grandparents. Everybody's at different sides of the world," Joe said. "We're going to try to figure it out."

lol @ asking them if they'd rather date Miley or Selena. What a troll.

Beyonce slaying Billboard Hot 100 with 7 year old song

Beyonce Blazes Billboard Hot 100 With…’Get Me Bodied’ / Song Achieves New Peak at #46 this week!

In an era where artists are making fast food music just to jump from point “A” to “B”, there’s increasing premium attached to songs and albums with long-lasting impact.
Just ask Beyonce.

It’s been seven years since the Swizz Beatz cut had the clubs snapping for the kidz and Naomi Campbell Walking. However, the track has staged a remarkable rebound on this week’s Billboard Hot 100 – acheiving a new peak on the tally in the process.

Last week saw a viral video of a Dr named “Deb” dancing to the track (along with surgeons) as she prepared to undergo a double-mastectomy. The clip clearly renewed interest in ”Bodied’ – as digital sales and streaming have seen the dance-floor jam jump to #46 on this week’s Hot 100. The placing represents a new peak for the track, which had previously climaxed at #68 in 2007.

Obviously any project that Kelly Rowlegend graces will have longevity, shown above! Kelly's impact!!

Looking Awfully White, HBO

The most egregious thing about this, the thing that pisses me off the most, the slap in the face is that Looking is supposed to take place in "San Francisco." If the recent teaser and the main cast properly represent what the show is going to look like, then it definitely isn't the San Francisco that I know and love.

Now, I'm an LA boy, I run around in WeHo circles, and I work in the entertainment industry, so I understand mainstream sellouts and commercial appeal. But HBO specifically chose San Francisco, the mecca of American gays, for its new show Looking.

But clearly they've never walked around and looked at the beautiful gay men of the Bay Area. SF is where gays go to get interracial, and gay men of color run the Castro. I don't think there's another place where I have felt more accepted and celebrated for being a gay man of color. SF is a nirvana for gay men of color, and now HBO is painting it white with a rehashed Queer as Folk.

Angelina Jolie Signs With UTA for Acting

The actress-filmmaker is currently directing World War II drama "Unbroken."

Angelina Jolie has signed with UTA for representation in acting, The Hollywood Reporter has exclusively learned.

The move expands Jolie's ties to the agency, which has been repping her on the directing front since March 2011.

Jolie was previously at IFA but was in play when her agent, IFA's founder Ilene Feldman, decided to shutter her shop and become a manager earlier this month. When Jolie joined IFA in November 2011, it was the first time she had acting representation since 2006, when she left CAA.

At UTA, Jolie will be repped by a team led by partner Richard Klubeck. She continues to repped by Media Talent Group and Sloane Offer.

Jolie is currently directing the World War II drama Unbroken for Universal, and next year stars as the title witch in Disney's Maleficent.

Adele Told Kelly Clarkson What???

Kelly Clarkson has recalled a conversation she had with British hit maker Adele who advised her to hold off for a while on having children.

Clarkson, who recently wed hubby Brandon Blackstock and has made no secret of her desire to start a family, revealed the advice during a new interview with US Weekly.

In the latest issue of the magazine, the star said mum-of-one Adele told her at this year's Grammys: "'Girl, don't have a baby 'cause everything else will go on the back burner. I'm living in baby land!'"

Adele welcomed her first child, a son, in October of last year and has made just a handful of public appearances since the birth.

However 31-year-old star Kelly doesn't seem to have been deterred, telling US writer Ian Drew: "My eggs aren't getting young! Brandon has two kids and I want two more."

The Since U Been Gone singer is currently promoting her Christmas album Wrapped In Red.

Any man who dares to put Mariah Carey in her place? Yes, please! That is some great TV.

It all began when Carey sat down for an interview on Wednesday with HOT 97 radio. With the champagne flowing, the songtress revealed how she really felt about being a judge on Idol's 12th season. Spoiler Alert: The "Art of Letting Go" singer didn't hold anything back.

"Honestly, I hated it," Carey admitted, "It was like going to work every day in hell with Satan." Oh snap!

Although she didn't fully clarify, it's obvious that the "Satan" Carey was referring to was fellow judge Nicki Minaj. The pair of female judges got into several heated debates during the auditions and the live shows. In May 2013, the rapper even bashed Carey on Twitter, calling her "insecure" and "bitter."

First look at the new 'Flowers in the Attic' - movie premiers on January 18, 2014!

Attention V.C. Andrews purists! The new adaptation of cult favorite, Flowers in the Attic — starring Mad Men‘s Kiernan Shipka, Heather Graham and Ellen Burstyn — will be airing on Lifetime on January 18, 2014.

For at least one generation of readers, Andrews’s 1979′s Flowers in the Attic was the Twilight or Hunger Games of its day, passed around at slumber parties and summer camp (this classic cover is imprinted on some of our brains for all eternity), and selling more than 40 million copies worldwide.

A 1987 film that starred Kristy Swanson, Victoria Tennant, and Louise Fletcher disappointed fans (but delighted lovers of camp) by deviating from some of the deviant behavior in the original text (decades-old-spoiler alert!): in order to inherit a fortune, a mother locks away her four children in an attic for over two years, leaving them to endure horrific abuse at the hands of their sadistic grandmother. But that’s not all! During their imprisonment, elder siblings Cathy and Chris develop romantic feelings for each other — and eventually have a sexual relationship. The new Lifetime film promises to go there. Yes, there. “The script is faithful to the book,” says director Deborah Chow. Or, to put it more bluntly: “Will there be incest? Yes,” says Mason Dye, who plays elder brother Chris. “We stay very true to the book."

We’ll have to wait till January to see just how dark this thing gets, but Ellen Burstyn, for one, says she was surprised at how exhausting it is to play a woman as evil as her character. “I’ve been completely drained by the end of the day.” the Oscar winner says. “I’ve been sleeping 11 hours a day. My psyche must be trying to clear it.”

Luckily for Kiernan Shipka, playing Cathy — the main protagonist — has been less taxing. “When it comes down to it, everything is just acting,” she says. “It’s not my real life, it’s not happening to me. I can separate the two so it doesn’t leak in.”

lmao oh shit son. yessssss I cannot wait for this mess. ONTD WATCH POST?

Andy Kaufman's brother says he is victim of hoax

Follow up to this post.

It seemed too good to be true. Andy Kaufman still alive.

The Internet erupted with the buzz after Kaufman's brother read a letter purportedly from Andy at a comedy club on Monday night and introduced a 24-year-old woman as his brother's daughter.

But almost as quickly as reports surfaced Thursday, the news seemed to fizzle, with Michael Kaufman telling CNN's "The Lead with Jake Tapper" that he believes he's the victim of a hoax.

"Now that it's Thursday, not Monday anymore, I believe I am part of a hoax," Kaufman said in a bizarre, rambling interview where he spoke in a monotone not unlike his brother.

"I don't believe she's acting on her own, though," Kaufman said of the woman he introduced Monday night. "But, you know, that's all I know."

Tapper pressed him: "Just to reiterate, you now don't think that it's true -- you think that this is a hoax and you were a victim of the hoax?"

"Correct," Kaufman said. He denied he was part of the hoax.

Kim Doesn't Check The Back Of Her Outfit Before Going Out

She's known for her curvy derriere.

But Kim Kardashian certainly doesn't let her ample posterior get in the way of her fashion sense, as she proved while wearing an extremely tight pencil skirt while out in Beverly Hills on Wednesday.

The mother-of-one poured her impressive post-baby body into the forest-green skirt, which she teamed with a stomach-baring grey cropped T-shirt.

E! calls JLaw 'one of the most fashionable starlets in Hollywood', JLaw calls herself a monkey

Jennifer Lawrence is easily one of the most fashionable starlets in Hollywood these days. (lol)

Just look at her worldwide publicity tour for The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. If we're not talking about one of her many Christian Dior dresses, we're gushing over her new pixie cut.

Even so, J.Law insists she has nothing to do with her chic factor. "I really would not call myself a fashion icon," the Oscar winner told me while promoting Catching Fire in Beverly Hills. "I would call myself somebody who gets dressed by professionals. [It's like], 'Dance, monkey, dance' right on the red carpet.' I would call me more of a monkey."

Tom Hiddleston on saying yes to things: "It looks like i've been a circus bear."

He’s cheerfully impersonated actor friends including Owen Wilson and “Captain America” star Chris Evans, he’s sung Michael Jackson songs and danced on stage for 7,000 fans in Korea. For a sleepover-themed segment for MTV, Hiddleston jumped on a bed and played truth or dare in his pajamas. “I say ‘yes’ a lot,” the actor said. “It looks like I’ve been a circus bear, but it’s more fun to do that sort of thing than to endlessly recycle answers.”

Modern Family Casting Scoop: Jesse Eisenberg, Jane Krakowski and Jonathan Benjamin Hickey

Well, now Modern Family is just showing off.

The Emmy-dominating comedy has announced a string of guest stars who will all be appearing in episode 11, titled "Under Pressure," and it's some high-caliber talent they got coming in.

30 Rock alum, SAG Award winner and she of general fabulousness Jane Krakowski will play Dr. Donna, a mean girl mommy at Manny's (Rico Rodriguez) school. She becomes a nemesis for Gloria (Sofia Vegara), and we know we're not alone when we say we can't wait for their showdowns.

Academy-Award nominee Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network, Now You See Me), will appear as Mitchell (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) and Cam's (Eric Stonestreet) neighbor Asher, who is overly ecologically aware and will probably call those two out on anything and everything they do to hurt the environment.

Finally, Tony Award-winning and Emmy-nominated John Benjamin Hickey (The Big C, Pitch Perfect) is set to play a therapist to one of the Dunphy members. Any ideas who will be getting in some couch time? Our money is on Claire (Julie Bowen ).

Krakowski, Eisenberg and Hickey join a long list of impressive Modern Family guest stars that includes the like of Elizabeth Banks, Matthew Broderick, Leslie Mann, Greg Kinnear, Judy Greer, Nathan Lane and James Marsden. Not a bad list to be on, eh?

Modern Family airs Wednesday nights on ABC.

Jonathan Rhys Meyers' 'Dracula' Salary Delayed by NBC Amid Addiction Concerns

The troubled star, who's been in and out of rehab, was made to wait for a substantial part of his $100,000-per-episode pay until after production ended.

 photo dracula.jpg

Dracula star Jonathan Rhys Meyers is one of the industry's more troubled talents. So NBC created a financial incentive for the actor to complete filming all 10 episodes of the series this summer in Budapest.

According to sources, the network withheld a substantial part of Rhys Meyers' compensation -- estimated at $100,000 an episode -- until filming was finished. Rhys Meyers, 36, whose struggles with substance abuse plagued his previous series, Showtime's The Tudors, required increased scrutiny before NBC would sign off on casting him in Dracula. So the Irish actor received per diem payments and other small dispensations, but the lump sum of his salary was contingent on him completing the season.

Hollywood Life thinks Miley Cyrus and Harry Styles should date

Miley and Harry — you’re both single, you’re both musical superstars and you also appear to be crushing on each other — why not start seeing each other in time to be New Year’s Eve dates?

Miley Cyrus and Harry Styles — it’s time to do some cross-Atlantic romancing — you two are perfect for each other!

Here’s the #1 reason why: You both couldn’t be more single and ready to mingle. Miley, you famously split from your long-term fiance, Liam Hemsworth, and Harry, you’ve been flying solo since your very public breakup with Taylor Swift in January, 2013.

Q&A: ‘The Read’s’ Kid Fury and Crissle West

Kid Fury and Crissle West are the creators of “The Read,” a brash, take-no-prisoners pop-culture podcast that reaches about 80,000 listeners each week. They’re also the Web’s most foul-mouthed advice-givers.

Fury, 25, and West, 31, have the chemistry of people who were friends in a previous life. They don’t just finish each other’s thoughts, they translate them.

Monday night, they performed a sold-out live show of “The Read” at Gala Hispanic Theatre, where they were lovingly introduced as “professional cussers.” Afterward, they descended into the theater’s dressing room — a hallway of white lights, Formica counters and folding chairs — for an interview (which has been edited for space and language).

KF: But we’re both naturally that way. It’s not something we do or emphasize for the show. Every time we record an episode of the show, or we do these live shows, we’re speaking the way that we speak to each other all the time. I think though, for me, it might have a lot to do with my childhood. I got picked on a lot. I was bullied a lot. And a lot of it was for being gay, although I didn’t even really know what that meant at the time. Toward the end of high school going into college, I was spiritually just over it. And that’s where it became, “!#%?& all of you. I’m going to be loud. I’m going to share my opinion, and I’m going to tell you why you’re an idiot.” So, I think that may be rebellion or something.

David Blaine Gets Bryan Cranston And Aaron Paul Back Together For A Card Trick

I don’t think I’m the only person who misses Breaking Bad, and obviously ABC knows this, because they’ve somehow managed to get Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul back together on our TV again – in a special featuring magician David Blaine.

Now, Cranston and Paul are hardly the biggest stars who agreed to be in this – Jamie Foxx, Ricky Gervais, Katy Perry, Woody Allen, Will Smith (+family) and Robert DeNiro are all in it too, but this sneak peek is definitely for those still going through Breaking Bad withdrawal.

Ok, the trick is pretty cool, but the questions I have after watching this are more along the lines of: How often do Cranston and Paul still hang out? Do they do a lot of close-up magic when they do? Whose house is that??

Answers to those questions (maybe), plus more trickery, when David Blaine: Real or Magic airs on Tuesday, November 19 at 9:30 on ABC.

Lily Rabe Is Super Excited About Stevie Nicks

Lily Rabe has been a member of Ryan Murphy’s unofficial American Horror Story repertory company since the onset: In Season 1 (Murder House), she was Nora, the mother to a baby comprised of dead body parts; in Season 2 (Asylum), she was the sweet-turned-satanic Sister Mary Eunice, a nun possessed by the devil; and now, on the FX series’ third season, Coven, she’s playing Misty Day, a tender-hearted witch, who lives in the swamps of New Orleans and whose only friend is Stevie Nicks (whom she’s never met).

Hieu Tran's 'Squared' Trailer Explores Top And Bottom Dynamics In Gay Relationships

A new trailer for Hieu Tran's film "Squared" is sparking an interesting debate about sexual dynamics in gay male relationships.

In the trailer, two men both identify as tops (which, in this case appears to mean the insertive partner during anal sex) and neither one of them wants to bottom (aka be the receptive partner).

In a note posted on the Squared Facebook page, Tran writes that the film was inspired by the "racist experiences" he has been through:

From my dating experiences, I was bothered when guys called me their “Geisha” and other derogatory terms. I also often hear people ask gay couples, "Who's the woman in the relationship?” and point to the Asian guy. Society often objectifies Asians, especially gay Asians, and view them as submissive, feminine, and passive.

An Adventure in Space and Time trailer

This special one-off drama travels back in time to 1963 to see how Doctor Who was first brought to the screen.

Actor William Hartnell felt trapped by a succession of hard-man roles. Wannabe producer Verity Lambert was frustrated by the TV industry's glass ceiling. Both of them were to find unlikely hope and unexpected challenges in the form of a Saturday tea-time drama. Allied with a team of unusual but brilliant people, they went on to create the longest running science fiction series ever made.

Best-selling author E L James doesn’t give many interviews these days, but she agreed to sit down in Beverly Hills with EW last week, as part of our cover story on the film version of the first book in her trilogy, Fifty Shades of Grey, to discuss all that casting controversy, the intensity of her fans, the criticism of Christian Grey’s backstory, and her hopes for the film. She proved to be as direct and unfiltered as her books are, beginning with how she’s feeling about the new movie.

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: The film adaptation of Fifty Shades of Grey is about to start shooting in Vancouver. How are you feeling about it?
E L JAMES: I’m terrified. Completely. I’ve been terrified from the moment I published the book. My mother was terrified of everything, and so am I. It’s a terrible way to grow up. You don’t expect this kind of success. Even now it floors me. My only ambition for the books was to see them in bookstores. This is huge. And there is this passionate fandom; we need to get this right for them.

Can Pop Music Really Parody Itself?

Lily Allen's recent viral video "Hard Out Here" doesn't so much parody pop music as it demonstrates how little space there is between parody and pop. Allen is ostensibly sending up various other uber-popular songs, including ones by Three-Six Mafia, Robin Thicke, and most obviously, Miley Cyrus. "Don't you want to have somebody who objectifies you?" she sings before fellating a banana at the behest of a suit-wearing white dude and smirking ironically as her black dancers gyrate in slow-motion amid product-placed cars and booze.

Allen is both commenting on and pretending to be the exploited woman at the center of the music-making sausage factory. The problem is that this doesn't actually end up looking all that much different from Miley Cyrus both lusting after and pretending to be a twerking black woman. Pop is always about surface appearances anyway; Allen's presenting the tropes as tropes, but they were never anything but tropes to begin with. Even the clueless white studio exec isn't so much biting satire as a standard-issue rube/foil for the sexy shenanigans—Allen's own version of Cyrus's discarded-but-always-referenced Hannah Montana persona.

There are things Allen could have done if she was really committed to skewering pop. If the idea is that the white guy is in control, she could have had him manipulating dancing puppets, with no real dancers anywhere in sight. She could have aging white guy asses shaking in slow motion, for that matter, while black women in business suits look on in appreciation/disgust.

Whatever Happened To Josh Hartnett?

Career Prospectus: Josh Hartnett

We’ve received several requests for a Josh Hartnett career prospectus, which makes sense as one of the first things that comes up when you Google “Josh Hartnett” is “Josh Hartnett career over”, followed by “whatever happened to Josh Hartnett”. Apparently, this is a question occupying many minds. And he’s a great case study for several issues facing actors, which makes him a quintessential career prospectus subject. So let’s take a look at the factors that sunk Josh Hartnett. Or, as I like to call him, Proto-Orlando Bloom.

Jake Gyllenhaal rushed to emergency room after punching a mirror in fit of rage on set

Jake Gyllenhaal was taken to hospital after punching a mirror during an angry scene on the set of his new movie in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

The 32-year-old actor, who is working on the thriller Nightcrawler, was badly cut and was treated in the emergency room. His hand required stitches.

Sources on set insist the outburst was during an intense scene 'in character' following an 18-hour day on set.

He plays a freelance crime reporter who stumbles upon the dangerous underworld of LA and has been 'starving himself' to lose more than 20lbs for the role.

'Jake flipped out,' an insider tells People magazine.
