The name of the Lady Gaga+Tony Bennet Jazz album revealed!

It'll be a busy holiday season for Tony Bennett. The seemingly ageless pop crooner, known for his timeless serenade to San Francisco, still is touring and his standard-setting Christmas albums continue selling every year.

On January 1st, he's scheduled to add "Cheek to Cheek" a jazzy CD collaboration with Lady Gaga, to his career catalog.

Bennett, 86, has experienced a career revival in the last 25 years, guided by son Danny - his manager since 1979 - and encompassing a newer and younger audience.

That includes New York's Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, now known as Lady Gaga and Bennett's collaborator on "Cheek to Cheek." She also sang "The Lady Is a Tramp" with him on 2011's "Duets II" CD.

Sir Terry Wogan: Female TV presenters shouldn't believe they can work forever

Sir Terry Wogan has said female presenters use their looks to get the best jobs on TV and should not complain when they do not get offered work later in their careers.

The Radio 2 DJ said 'lovelies' like Holly Willoughby and Tess Daly are at risk of being replaced on the highest-rated programmes once their looks deteriorate.

But the 75-year-old insists they have no right to be angry because they used their beauty to land the jobs in the first place.

The veteran broadcaster told the Sunday Mirror that there are no 'permanently pensionable' positions in television and no woman should believe they can work forever.

But he claimed the situation is more positive for older women already in the business, saying newsreaders like Selina Scott and Anna Ford had maintained their looks.

He added: 'The likes of Julia Bradbury, Kate Humble and Clare Balding shouldn’t ever complain as there are more of them than us.'

The former Eurovision Song Contest host also admitted he feels panicked around female presenters because he does not feel any chemistry with them, despite having worked with a number of beautiful women over his 50-year career.

Tyra Banks Responds To Drake Dating Rumors On 'Steve Harvey' (VIDEO)

Not every celebrity can say he's gone on a date with Tyra Banks. Unless that celebrity is Drake, of course.

During a September episode of “Ellen” the rapper admitted that he once went on a date with the 39-year-old supermodel to Disneyland.

As expected, the chart-topper’s admission surprised many, including Banks, and left the question open as to whether or not the two were ever romantically involved.

The “America’s Next Top Model” creator revealed her initial reaction, and cleared up the confusion during an upcoming Nov. 1 episode of “Steve Harvey.”

“I’m watching ‘Ellen’ and I can’t believe it,” she recalled. “And then my phone is hitting up. And then social media, my Twitter, my Instagram…’Ohh, girl you went to Disneyland? What you wear?’ People are going crazy, and I’m just like, ‘it’s not fair.’ And Drake, I have words for you…I’m going to freestyle what I got to say to you, Mr. Aubrey”

Was Peter Davison Living Under a Rock for the Last Six Months?

It's the question fans have been asking since current Doctor Who Matt Smith announced he was quitting the Tardis: Is it time for a woman to take on the famous role? Certainly not, according to former Doctor Peter Davison, who insists the character should always be a man. Davison, who appeared in the BBC sci-fi drama between 1981 and 1984, said: ‘I’ll probably get into trouble for saying this but I think it sort of has to be a man. To have a female would be like having a female James Bond. It would be a rather odd thing.’

Despite his comments, a number of actresses, including Broadchurch star Olivia Colman, are being linked with the iconic role.
Since first appearing on our television screens in 1963, Doctor Who has been played by 11 men but never a woman.

Michelle Pfeiffer Recalls Her Experience Being Part Of A Cult

Michelle Pfeiffer reveals she was once in a “very controlling” cult that was ran by two personal trainers who were on a mission to bring humans into “their highest state."

The 55-year-old actress moved to Hollywood at the age of 20 and the star says she almost immediately became involved with a bizarre sect of breatharians. A breatharian is a person who believes that people do not have to eat because the sun provides all of the nourishment needed to survive.

Michelle tells The Sunday Telegraph’s Stella magazine she was oblivious to her status as a cult member until her first husband Peter Horton was cast in a movie about the Moonies, followers of Rev Moon Sun-myung’s Unification Church.

“We were talking with an ex-Moonie and he was describing the psychological manipulation and I just clicked,” she revealed.

Fortunately Michelle wasn’t involved with the cult for long, which was ran by a couple whom she describes as “kind of personal trainers”. Initially the star thought she was seeking the expertise of diet and exercise specialists, but to her dismay they turned out to be “very controlling”.

“They worked with weights and put people on diets. Their thing was vegetarianism,” she detailed.

“They were very controlling. I wasn’t living with them but I was there a lot and they were always telling me I needed to come more. I had to pay for all the time I was there, so it was financially very draining. They believed that people in their highest state were breatharian.”

Michelle is considered to be one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood history, but she admits that aging is taking a toll on her sense of confidence.

“The loss of youth, the loss of beauty – it definitely plays havoc with your psyche,” she said.

Kanye West defies critics and wears controversial Confederate Flag jacket to boxing class

He has never been afraid to put his reputation on the line by indulging in controversial antics.

But many will be thinking Kanye West has gone too far after he brashly ignored critics and wore a jacket with a Confederate Flag patch in Los Angeles on Saturday.

The Georgia born singer was spotted in the garment after he worked up a sweat in a private boxing lesson.

The green jacket is part of a controversial fashion line he has created which he claims is an attempt to reclaim the Southern Cross from racists.

Kanye, whose father Ray was a Black Panther, has emblazoned his tour merchandise with the flag design, which has been used by extremist groups like the Ku Klux Klan as an emblem.

Jennifer Morrison and Sebastian Stan break up

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

It seems the fairytale has ended! Former Once Upon a Time costars Jennifer Morrison and Sebastian Stan have officially split, multiple sources tell Us Weekly.

"They broke up at least four months ago," a source tells Us. "They have gone their separate ways -- no bad blood."

Another source confirms there's no resentment between the two saying, "They just grew apart."

The couple started dating in summer 2012, and has kept a relatively low profile since.

Prior to dating Morrison, Stan was linked to Glee star Dianna Agron, and from 2006 to 2007 Morrison was engaged to her House costar Jesse Spencer.

The Perfect Stocking Stuffer For Family Members You Hate: ‘Lullaby Renditions Of Nickelback’

Have you ever thought Nickelback's rock tracks could be made into lullabies for crying babies? We didn't either, until Rockabye Baby went and did just that.

But we're not sure whether it really is a soothing compilation of their hit tracks, or more likely something that prevent you from sleeping at night.

The album is 12 tracks long featuring some of Nickelbacks best loved hits including 'How You Remind Me', 'Photograph', 'Hero' and quite obviously 'Lullaby'.

The songs have been transformed from their alt-rock origins into lullabies by swapping their guitars and drums for xylophones and bells and turning the volume down a notch or two in the hope it will send many a baby fast asleep.

To be honest, it was sending some of us to sleep! But the creepy undertone may give us nightmares.

The Rockabye Baby! series has released over fifty of these instrumental novelty compilations, translating music from an astoundingly diverse roster of popular artists including Metallica, Kanye West, The Pixies, Bjork, Queens of The Stone Age, and Nirvana. Songs are recreated mostly with marimba and glockenspiel, and are generally unlikely to provide any sort of pacification/ are kind of nightmarish actually.

The album is available to buy now or you can stream a short preview for yourself over on the Rockabye Baby! website and at the source. But we recommend not wasting your time unless you want nightmares about possessed children.

Tom Hiddleston talks Loki and dancing

Tom Hiddleston may be best known for playing the bitter brother Loki to Thor in the Marvel Studios movies, but unlike the Prince of Asgard, he has beautiful old school manners. “Ohh, oatcakes?” he says. “How lovely! I’m going to have one right now.” It’s a dour winter afternoon in London, and Hiddleston is holed up in a five star hotel room with an array of leaf teas but no sign of biscuits, so I have brought a pack of low GI treats.

Haggis flavoured,” muses Hiddleston, as he checks out the packaging. “And yet ‘vegetarian-friendly’! It’s yummy, but one wonders where the flavours come from.

Three years ago, when the 32-year-old son of a Greenock pharmaceuticals executive was announced as the evil sibling to Chris Hemsworth’s blonde norse god, many were asking where Hiddleston had come from, especially if they had missed his handful of TV roles in Wallander, Cranford and Casualty, or stage parts in The Changeling, Cymbeline and Othello. Back then, it was Rada classmates like Eddie Redmayne and Gemma Arterton who attracted star-making talk, and Hiddleston’s Wallander co-star Kenneth Branagh had to lobby Marvel executives to get them to consider casting an unknown in their blockbuster.

Originally, the lean angular actor was asked to bulk up and apply to play Thor, but fortunately for the forces of darkness, after his audition he was diverted to Loki. Using James Mason as his villain acting guide, Hiddleston’s Shakespearean putdowns proved a hit, prompting some reshuffling in the Marvel movieverse to accommodate more Loki in Avengers Assemble and now Thor 2. “A good villain is a character an audience can relate to,” he says. “Loki’s an unbalanced, anarchic villain but his motivations and psychology are accessible. But I still never expected him to be so popular.”

Music Post! 21 (5) of the Best Remixes of 2013, So Far

21 Best Remixes of 2013, So Far

DAD loves a good remix. There's something about a DJ applying the right amount of pressure to established material and not only making the listener rock out to a new rendition, but somehow making it their own. We roundup remixes on a weekly basis, so we know there are a ton of them sitting out there; finding the best is the key. With such a fine crop of talented producers out there, and great opportunities to service tunes in new ways, we're really loving how 2013 is sounding so far.

21. Daft Punk - "Random Access Memories (Vanderway Edit)"

While the world was still imagining what Random Access Memories would sound like, Vanderway took the liberty of exploring his own depiction of the final product. With nothing to work off of but the little pieces of what we would soon find out to be "Get Lucky" that played in the background of the pre-release commercials, Vanderway created a masterpiece.

Ben Cohen's Sixth Week On SCD

Strictly Come Dancing contestant Ben Cohen caused quite a stir on the Strictly dancefloor after he shed his shirt to perform the paso doble. The rugby ace had previously made an impact when he stripped to a vest to perform the salsa with partner Kristina Rihanoff – but took things one step further with Saturday’s semi-clad performance. And unsurprisingly viewers flocked to Twitter to give the performance a resounding thumbs-up. ‘Ben Cohen becoming my fav #strictly contestant! Nothing to go with being topless…..much!’ tweeted one viewer, while another said: ‘Ben Cohen 10/10 for just existing.’ Another added: ‘In my humble opinion, Ben Cohen’s dance tonight just wasn’t long enough’, while a fellow fan tweeted: ‘Ben Cohen with no top on is all Strictly needs.’

"Walking Dead" Cast at Walker Stalker Con in Atlanta

Not a lot of TV shows can carry their very own convention. "Star Trek" broke the mold. In recent years, dedicated fans have put together conventions for shows such as "Lost" and "The Office." Now it's "The Walking Dead," which drew thousands of dedicated fans to Atlanta this weekend to meet virtually the entire cast of show, including many of the beloved past actors. Andrew Lincoln was the only one to do press on site, on top of a panel. Steven Yeun also did a separate panel Sunday morning, which I attended.

Norman Reedus, arguably the most popular actor on the show playing the dependable Daryl Dixon, spent the entire Saturday and part of Sunday signing autographs for hundreds of fans. Attendees I met spent hundreds, if not thousands of dollars to attend the convention and meet their favorites. (Autographs cost $20 to $50 for bigger names with comparable amounts for photo ops.) Nobody I spoke to was complaining, though. A few dressed as characters and zombies, including fairly convincing renditions of Rick and Daryl. But most were there just to get close to the stars, revel in the whole "zombie"-ness of it all. Most were from metro Atlanta but I ran into folks from Canada, Ohio, Indiana and Florida as well.

Alex Turner's laryngitis prompts Arctic Monkeys to scrap shows

Arctic Monkeys have had to postpone three shows on their current UK tour after singer Alex Turner was diagnosed with laryngitis. Their Birmingham LG Arena show – which was due to take place on 31 October – has been moved to 20 November, and the Glasgow Hydro gig – originally set for 1 November – has been moved to 21 November.

Arctic Monkeys' website carried a statement announcing the cancellations, which read: "Following the decision to postpone the show at the Birmingham LG Arena tonight and after seeking medical advice, Arctic Monkeys must also postpone the show at the Glasgow Hydro on Fri November 1st.

"Alex Turner has been diagnosed with laryngitis and is regrettably not able to perform. The show at the LG Arena in Birmingham will now take place on November 20th and the show at the Glasgow Hydro will now take place on November 21st. All tickets will remain valid for these shows.

What The U.S. Would Look Like If It Mirrored The Main Characters On Prime-Time Network Television

On Friday, the comedian Wyatt Cenac tweeted the link to the New York Times‘ review of NBC’s new Dracula series with the note “No disrespect to monsters, but it’s weird that there are more TV shows starring vampires than starring minorities.” That’s not quite accurate–and some of those vampires are people of color, of course, but it got me thinking. What would the world look like if the population reflected the composition of prime-time network television?

So on Friday, I did a quick run-through of the casts of scripted prime-time shows on the big four networks, NBC, ABC, CBS, and Fox. My attempts to define main characters means that my count is a little bit rough. In ensemble shows, I counted all the adult characters, and in other cases, I counted the characters that I thought most viewers would clearly identify as the leads. Simply for the purposes of illustrating the depth of the disparity, I tried to give shows the benefit of the doubt in counting characters of color as main characters–these numbers are actually a little more generous than they might have been.

It’s not surprising that the results show a distorted picture of the U.S. population. But at least there are more main characters of color on network television than there are vampires, Grimms, and robots?

Michael Fassbender in gangster movie “Trespass Against Us”

Michael Fassbender is in negotiations to star in a new crime flick called “Trespass Against Us”.

The film will be directed by Adam Smith who will be making his debut in directing narrative features. Smith has previously directed the Chemical Brothers documentary called “The Chemical Brothers: Don’t Think” along with episodes of “Doctor Who”.

The film follows the Cutler family, “over three generations live as outlaws, poaching for game, robbing affluent households, and sneering at police authority” reports CinemaBlend. Fassbender will play ‘Chad Cutler’ the protagonist who wants out of the shady ways of his clan and perhaps wants to make an honest, clean living.  Details about the film are still vague and scarce.

Michael Fassbender is best known for his roles in “Prometheus”, “Inglorious Basterds", and an indie called “Shame” about sex addiction. He has also played Bobby Sands in the film “Hunger”.

The Chemical Brothers are set to score the feature and it begins pre-sale at the American Film Market next week. Production is currently scheduled to begin in the UK in 2014.

Right now Fassbender is shooting the Western “Slow West”, in New Zealand with writer-director John Maclean. In January 2014 he is set to play the title role in “Macbeth”, alongside Marion Cotillard.

Fassbender is also being tipped for an Oscar nod this year for one of his two movies now in theaters “12 Years a Slave” and “The Counselor”.
