In fact, we wish this interview could go on just a little bit longer!
First up, Niall showed off his armpit and chest hair, his five o'clock shadow and talked about plucking his eyebrows!
The guys also talked about how their families have adjusted to their fame and how they spent the three weeks off (their longest break yet), hanging with friends and family, plus playing golf.
The radio hosts even got in a little Taylor Swift dig on Harry, as they waited for him to arrive, noting, "We knew he was trouble when he walked in...trouble, trouble, trouble."
One of the host's 10 year-old-daughter, she explained, has crossed over from Directioner and is now a Belieber, as she showed off a pic she had doodled on (drawing horns on Niall, a mustache on Harry, and crossing out Liam!).
Her daughter even wrote "One Direction poos."
Liam noted, "We do poo though, actually...so technically...smart girl."

When discussing Midnight Red, member Joey Diggs, Jr. describes the five-man ensemble as the "All American Boy Band." When you look at the geographic representation of the members, you understand his reasoning. "Thomas Augusto is from Texas, I'm from Los Angeles, Eric Secharia is also from California, Colton Rudloff is from Buffalo, and Anthony Ladao is from Seattle," he tells Billboard of their wide and varied upbringing.
The group -- currently promoting their current single "Take Me Home," came together via a mixture of old-school connections and the viral age.
"Eric and Anthony started the group. They called Thomas, because Eric knew him from a previous gig. They found me through a mutual producer, and Colton through YouTube. Well, actually, Eric's mom found him on YouTube. We called him over, and that completed Midnight Red right there," he said.

Jimmy Fallon has been visiting local affiliates in the run-up to his Tonight Show takeover in February, and at a recent stop in Florida, some of his recollection about the origins of the transition seems a bit off. He's quoted as saying:
“As soon as I got Late Night, I called Jay and said, ‘I want to let you know I want to start on the right foot. I respect you.’ I’ve been a guest on the show numerous times. I said, ‘I’m not gunning for your job. I’m not trying to plot anything. Whenever you’re ready to step down, let me know. But I’m happy at 12:30.’”
Orlando Sentinel reports Fallon said that when Leno called him and said “I think I’m ready”, Fallon’s response was, “Let’s do it the right way, the way it should be, with respect to the guy who’s been No. 1 over twentysomething years.”
But as Deadline points out, it should have been Conan O'Brien that Fallon was having this conversation with, since Leno and Fallon were only supposed to be on back-to-back from March to June of 2009, when Conan took over The Tonight Show. Fallon also said that the handover was prompted when Leno called him personally to say, “I think I’m ready," though NBC executive have admitted they had been planning the move since January of 2011, only 10 months after Leno resumed hosting the show.
In less confusing news, Fallon told reporters in Florida that his version of The Tonight Show will look just like his version of Late Night, saying "It’s more eyeballs watching but it’s the same show." His stop in Florida coincides with his "Clean Cut Comedy Tour," which was essentially designed a front for his affiliate tour. Touring local markets is a standard part of taking over The Tonight Show; Conan did it in 2009, and managed to capture that awesome Tonight Show opening segment in the process.
Tacky tbh. Fallon wouldn't even have a job if Conan hadn't been promoted...
Based on an original screenplay by Kelly Marcel (the upcoming adaptation of "50 Shades of Grey") and Sue Smith, "Saving Mr. Banks" details the lengths Walt Disney went to adapt P.L. Travers' "Mary Poppins" for the silver screen. Tom Hanks stars as Disney, with Emma Thompson playing Mrs. Travers.
"Somewhere, Uncle Walt is smiling," Variety critic Scott Foundas wrote of "Saving Mr. Banks," which comes from director John Lee Hancock. "Thick with affection for Hollywood's most literal 'dream factory' and wry in its depiction of the studio filmmaking process, ['Saving Mr. Banks'] should earn far more than tuppence from holiday audiences -- and from awards voters who can scarcely resist this sort of mash note to the magic of movies (e.g., 'Argo,' 'The Artist')." Those films, it should be noted, represent the last two Best Picture winners.
"Saving Mr. Banks" features an all-star supporting cast (Colin Farrell, Jason Schwartzman, B.J. Novak, Paul Giamatti, Bradley Whitford, Ruth Wilson, Rachel Griffiths), but the early reviews reserved the lion's share of praise for Thompson. Critics for The Hollywood Reporter ("outstanding"), Indiewire's The Playlist ("truly excellent"), Indiewire proper ("nuanced") and The Telegraph ("bravura"), among others, singled out Thompson as the film's high-water mark. Not that Hanks' performance is, for lack of a better term, chopped liver.

Everyone’s favorite parlor game — “Who should play Christian Grey in the Fifty Shades of Grey Movie/trainwreck/the cinematic experience of our time” — just got another celebrity participant. If one Ms. Britney Spears had her way, sexy, dominating businessman Christian Grey will be played by James Franco.
“I love James Franco,” Spears replied when asked about her pick. “I think he’s really cool.” That kind of teenspeak is Spears gushing! She’s all in!
It’s easy to dismiss her remarks with a laugh, but while, yes, Franco is a bona fide movie star who probably has no interest, he actually seems like a solid choice that might actually sign on, as opposed to other A-list wish-list names, such as Leonardo DiCaprio or Christian Bale. Props to Ms. Spears.
Is tortured artist James Franco secretly the perfect person to play tortured torturer Christian Grey? They both have been called freaks, after all. Franco loves a good controversial project, so let’s really think this through, because if you’re anything like Britney and me, your ears may have just perked up at the one name that would actually get you into the theater opening weekend, if only so you could watch him smirk to the camera for 90 minutes.

Originally, these visuals were promptly labelled “Not Safe for Work” and passed around the internet like crazy.
Sony has since put the gag on any websites daring to try and show the imagery leading one report to suggest that their reaction to the situation as well as a later statement that they require these images removed from gaming press hubs due to “legal reasons” leads to a potential lawsuit already in the works behind the scenes, or even an out-of-court negotiation and settlement process.

NBC Olympics and the networks of NBCUniversal will celebrate 100 days from the start of the upcoming Sochi Olympics on Tuesday, Oct. 29, by introducing a new phase of their multi-platform marketing initiative, highlighted by a 20-channel promotional Roadblock in the 8 p.m. ET/PT hour. In addition, NBC Sports Group and the networks of NBCU will participate at the kickoff of the USOC’s Road to Sochi Tour in New York City’s Times Square that same day.
The Sochi Olympic Winter Games are an NBCUniversal Symphony initiative, which leverages the company’s promotional resources to drive awareness to key events. Since the acquisition of NBCUniversal by Comcast in January 2011, NBCUniversal has 40 percent more capacity, including 20 broadcast/cable channels and more than 65 websites, to promote the upcoming Winter Games than it had for Vancouver in 2010.
“The 100-day mark is the moment when our considerable Olympic campaign kicks into another gear,” said John Miller, CMO, NBC Sports Group. “For Sochi, we will use the full force of America’s largest media company to market the biggest Winter Olympics ever, being hosted by the biggest country in the world. The next three episodes of Parks and Recreation — including a Halloween-themed outing that was to air Oct. 31 — are being preempted, NBC confirmed on Monday with its latest scheduling alert.
The Voice‘s Battle Rounds this week will spill over into Thursday’s 8 o’clock hour, bumping Tatiana Masalany’s second Parks appearance and filling the void left by the now-cancelled Welcome to the Family. Then on Halloween night, NBC will air a holiday-themed Saturday Night Live special.
Lastly, on Thursday, Nov. 7, The Voice’s live playoffs results show — which was originally set to fill the 9 o’clock hour (thus preempting Sean Saves the World and The Michael J Fox Show) — instead will air at 8 pm, again bumping Parks.
NBC will “catch up” Parks and Rec fans with back-to-back episodes on Nov. 14 and 21.

LeAnn Rimes knows how to have a good laugh—even when it's at her own expense!
On Saturday, Oct. 19, the 30-year-old country singer tweeted a cheeky picture of herself sitting atop a towing truck with the word's "Wrecker Service" plastered across the side. "DON'T OPEN w/o A SENSE OF HUMOR," she warned. "My dad has a towing service, family business. #havefunw/thecomments."
LeAnn was still married to Dean Sheremet when she first met Eddie Cibrian in 2009 on the set of Northern Lights. Eddie was also married at the time to Brandi Glanville, the mother of his two children. LeAnn and Eddie infamously partook in an extramarital affair, leading both to divorce their original spouses and before getting married to each other in April 2011.
Brandi's been quite outspoken about her disdain for her husband's new wife in the past, but as she told E! News earlier this month, she, LeAnn and Eddie have put the past behind them. "As far as I know, we're fine," she said. "I see them at soccer, I say hello, and I don't really have any other interactions with them."
LeAnn confessed to E! News last year she wished she'd "handled [the affair] differently," explaining, "I wish I could have been better for me, for Brandi, for Dean, for Eddie, for everyone else."
Fortunately now, all parties involved seem to have made peace with the past—funny bones unbroken!
This video has been floating around the internet all day with people claiming Lady Gaga stole the beat from this song and used it in her new song "Do What U Want" featuring R. Kelly. Katy Perry released her sophomore album, "Teenage Dream," at the age of 25, but the 2010 effort pristinely captured the chirpy buoyancy of youth through gooey synth-pop. There was a reason that "Teenage Dream" spawned a record-tying five No. 1 singles on the Hot 100 -- it was extremely easy for large audiences to relate to Perry's themes of euphoria, independence and summer fun, especially with such a likable figure presenting these topics in the catchiest of forms.
Perry is still championing optimism with super-producers Max Martin, Lukasz "Dr. Luke" Gottwald and Cirkut as her sonic guides -- see her latest chart-topper, "Roar" -- but "PRISM" is also a firm and well-executed step toward adulthood. New single "Unconditionally" trades in the idealistic love of "Teenage Dream" for a romance more realistic and reliable; elsewhere, Perry evokes her recent divorce ("Ghost") and its personal effects ("By The Grace of God") with slowed-down guitar hooks and thoughtful piano strikes. While the first half of "PRISM" flashes an array of sonic and lyrical colors, hopping from disco ("Walking on Air") to rap ("Dark Horse") to sumptuous pop-rock ("International Smile"), the second half feels more lived-in, with Perry patiently discussing her battles with hopeless relationships, struggles to understand herself and attempts to live for the moment in a whirlwind reality. These songs are not the bubblegum summer smashes of a California Gurl, but something much deeper from an artist striving to tell her full story.
"PRISM" has its share of candy-colored fun, but also something else: more detail in its tempered shades. With a string of hit singles under her belt, Perry has aspired to create a multi-faceted full-length and has consummately succeeded

Rihanna doesn't like being told what to do.
And following a recent bit of controversy over the weekend, it seems as though the pop star is acting out by taking it all off.
RiRi shared a few pics of herself taking a bubble bath in the buff—and sans makeup—on her Instagram account.
She appeared wearing nothing but a pair of silver hoop earrings and playing around with bubbles in her massive tub.
The "What Now" singer captioned one of the pics "She. #greece." Talk about racking up those frequent flyer miles!
Just days ago, the 25-year-old was in Abu Dhabi, where she ran into a little trouble with a few religious leaders.
Decked out in a black jumpsuit and head scarf, Rihanna ditched her usual scantily clad garb and kept in line with Abu Dhabi's dress requirements for women, who generally cover up their entire bodies for religious reasons, except for their eyes and hands.
But it seems that her ensemble wasn't the issue during her visit of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, one of the United Arab Emirates' capital's biggest tourist attractions.
Mosque officials did not approve of the snapshots claiming that RiRi was in an area that's normally off limits for visitors and that her impromptu photo shoot violated the rules on the "sanctity of the mosque."
But it’s an Instagram photo with Street, Saracen, Smash, Luke, and even Herc, and for any Friday Night Lights fan, that’s enough to get us, well, teary-eyed, broken-hearted and… lost at the sight of our favorite Dillon football players.
Posted by Scott Porter (Jason Street), the photo shows him and his former costars Matt Lauria (Luke), Gaius Charles (Smash), Zach Gilford (Matt Saracen), and Kevin Rankin (Herc) catching a break on #SundayFunday. It’s a small cast gathering, but it’s enough to make us forget that FNL isn’t on the fast-track back to the big screen.

Kelly Clarkson‘s “big white dress” engagement photos were so lovely that we were extra-excited to see the real deal on her wedding day — and then secretly a little disappointed when Clarkson hinted that she might elope, with no wedding dress pics for us to gush over.
But Clarkson didn’t leave us hanging. Though she may have tied the knot under the radar this weekend, she shared a few glimpses at her beautiful gown and headpiece (and she looked so pretty, who could blame her for wanting to show off a bit?).
Unlike the frothy look seen in her engagement shots, Clarkson’s Temperley Bridal “Jessamine” wedding dress had clean lines that skimmed her shape. Silvery floral appliqués accented the romantic lace overlay and the sleeves had covered buttons at the wrist. Though the dress was modest, deep V necklines at the front and back framed her face and highlighted her blonde updo, which was accented by a jeweled Maria Elena headpiece.
Clarkson thanked all the designers in a tweet, including pal and American Idol alum Jim Verraros, who collaborated with the jeweler to create the custom-made, filigree Swarovski crystal headband, with a leaf design in Swarovski opals. So now that she’s granted our wedding dress wishes, is it too much to hope that we won’t have to wait too long to see baby photos?
That old acting adage about never working with children or animals? Nintendo's dream of a motion controlled future is over. Nintendo Japan has announced that production on the original Wii console, which debuted in 2006, has ended, with a statement on the company's site reading simply "production over." The news isn't exactly surprising — Nintendo alluded to it at the beginning of the month — but it's a quiet end for what was once the next big thing in gaming. The Wii's ambitious and intuitive motion sensing controller and games like Wii Sports and New Super Mario Bros. helped the console sell more than 100 million units during its lifetime, while capturing a new demographic outside of the typical gaming audience — mainstream news stories about Wii bowling games in nursing homes were common after the Wii's launch.
Unfortunately, Nintendo has failed to rekindle that same magic with the console's follow-up, the Wii U, which has seen tepid sales and lackluster game support. Despite those struggles, Nintendo is hoping that new releases, including the next flagship Super Mariotitle, will help it return to its past glories.

God knows I wanted to put a pun in the title.
If something has seemed off about this season of Homeland, there's a good reason for it: That's exactly what the writers wanted!
"I was an amateur magician when I was a kid, and my favorite magic trick was always the one in which the magician convinces the audience that he's made a mistake," executive producer Alex Gansa tells TVGuide.com. That's what we were going for this season. [We wanted the audience thinking,] 'How are they going to dig themselves out of this hole? ... They're killing the series right in front our eyes!' And yet you lay down that final card, and you realize that the magician, the writers, have been one step ahead."

NPR media reporter David Folkenflik writes in his forthcoming book Murdoch's World that Fox News' public relations staffers used an elaborate series of dummy accounts to fill the comments sections of critical blog posts with pro-Fox arguments.
In a chapter focusing on how Fox utilized its notoriously ruthless public relations department in the mid-to-late 00's, Folkenflik reports that Fox's PR staffers would "post pro-Fox rants" in the comments sections of "negative and even neutral" blog posts written about the network. According to Folkenflik, the staffers used various tactics to cover their tracks, including setting up wireless broadband connections that "could not be traced back" to the network.
A former staffer told Folkenflik that they had personally used "one hundred" fake accounts to plant Fox-friendly commentary:
On the blogs, the fight was particularly fierce. Fox PR staffers were expected to counter not just negative and even neutral blog postings but the anti-Fox comments beneath them. One former staffer recalled using twenty different aliases to post pro-Fox rants. Another had one hundred. Several employees had to acquire a cell phone thumb drive to provide a wireless broadband connection that could not be traced back to a Fox News or News Corp account. Another used an AOL dial-up connection, even in the age of widespread broadband access, on the rationale it would be harder to pinpoint its origins. Old laptops were distributed for these cyber operations. Even blogs with minor followings were reviewed to ensure no claim went unchecked. [Murdoch's World, pg. 67]
In the book's endnotes, Folkenflik explains that "four former Fox News employees told me of these practices." It's unclear whether these tactics are ongoing.
ngl something about the idea of fox news guys getting paid to sit at their computer and have 20-year-olds call them an idiot is hilarious to me

The Thor: The Dark World actor explained that his other sibling Luke often tries to calm the rivalry between the two actors.
"We're competitive as siblings are, in everything from sport - backyard cricket and football - to who's in control of the remote watching TV," Chris said at a press conference yesterday (October 20).
"You understand what it's like to have that love/hate sort of thing where you'd do anything for them, but the simplest thing can annoy you."
Describing their car journeys, he added: "[It's like], 'You're the worst driver! Go that way, it's quicker'. 'No, it's not'. [Luke's] the older brother and runs the show."
Chris added that they do help each other when it comes to auditions and memorising scripts for films they're working on.
In a interview conducted earlier in October, Moffat told the Radio Times that is was still “too early to put it on.”
He jested: “If it were up to me, the BBC would only publicise Doctor Who and Sherlock. However, in their biased and wrong-headed view, they have a number of shows on before Sherlock and Doctor Who that they have to publicise now, so they’re waiting to publicise Doctor Who and Sherlock until later."
“I agree it is a crime! Who cares about those other shows? I don’t! But I have to wait in line, so the reason you haven’t see the 50th trailer yet is it’s too early to put it on. But it’s not going to be very much longer…”
Current rumours for the trailer point towards the 9th November, but we’ll have to wait for official confirmation.
As a footnote, did Moffat forget that the BBC aired a teaser trailer for Sherlock Series 3 containing actual footage back in August?
Fuck you Moffat.

FIRE! Forget “YOLO.” It’s all about “Y.A.L.A” (You Always Live Again). M.I.A. introduces a new acronym in response to Drake’s popular catchphrase.
Over a heavy-hitting beat, the British rapper lays down some in-your-face rhymes (“I drink some Cointreau, keep it in my poncho”).

Lea Michele was spotted at LAX on Sunday after spending the weekend with a few friends in San Francisco. Over the weekend, Lea had some fun with friends including Hilary Duff, Jamie-Lynn Sigler, Lance Bass, and more at a haunted hayride.
The Glee star looked equal parts chic and comfortable in a wrapped cardigan, fedora and layered gold necklaces. One accessory, however, stood out among the rest: a diamond ring worn on her ring finger.
But not so fast, everyone!
While there was speculation that Cory Monteith may have proposed to her before his untimely passing, a source tells E! News that the bling in question is definitely not an engagement ring from the fallen actor.
Regardless, the 27-year-old appeared relaxed after her quick trip to the Bay Area.

Netflix, pleased with how original series like Orange Is the New Black and House of Cards are boosting its business, expects to double its investment in original content in 2014 — and it’s putting movies into the pipeline.
Meanwhile, Netflix CEO Reed Hastings said he’s “hopeful” that the company will land deals with Comcast and other pay TV providers to widen the distribution of the service, which now has 31.1 million U.S. customers.
The company is looking at expanding into movies, and is currently actively looking at several documentaries that would premiere on Netflix, chief content officer Ted Sarandos said on the company’s third quarter earnings call.
Overall, Netflix’s spending on original content next year will still represent less than 10% of overall global content spending. "About 40% of HBO’s spending is on originals," Sarandos said, “so there’s a big gap from where we are to where we could be.”
Netflix is “more comfortable” with owning content outright than in the past, but the primary goal remains controlling the window, whether that’s through owning a property or licensing it from a studio, Sarandos said.
The company said Orange is the New Black will end the year as its most-watched original series ever. As with its other originals, such as House of Cards, the company said the total audience is on par with “successful shows on cable and broadcast TV” although Netflix does not disclose specific viewing metrics.
Shows expected to bow on Netflix in 2014 include Sense 8 from Matrix creators the Wachowskis, new shows produced by DreamWorks Animation and a new thriller from the creators of Damages in a deal with Sony Pictures Television.
THEY have been dubbed the next Spice Girls and have a string of girl power anthems to their name, but don't go labelling Little Mix as feminists.
"I wouldn't say we're feminists: we don't hate our men," band member Perrie Edwards told Confidential.
"We love our men," added Jesy Nelson.
"Everyone loves boys," continued Edwards. "We're just very passionate about girls sticking together and the sisterhood of things.
"Girls go through a lot more than men - such as periods - and it's better to stick together instead of bitching and hating. We're a stronger force."

she didn't lie about women sticking together but yikes at the rest.
Last week I had the pleasure of working with a very special newcomer- Lupita Nyong’O- who was in London for the premiere of Steve McQueen‘s much anticipated ’12 Years A Slave‘ starring Chiwetel Ejiofor.
I was thrilled when I got confirmed as I rarely get to make-up someone with Lupita’s skintone for the red carpet. The chance to be able to do something glamorous (rather than editorial which is usually more conceptual or ‘urban’) using my favourite new products was a fabulous opportunity for me.
I ensured that her skin was moisturised but not greasy. This is particularly important for darker skins that are being photographed with flash. Flash isn’t a friend to dark skin, it can turn perfectly applied make-up with healthy glowing skin into an appearance of plain old greasy. Having said that, I don’t mind a little shine, there has been a tendency for many women of colour to overdo the powdering for fear of looking shiny, but personally, I find it old-fashioned and a little ageing. The skin can look a little ‘dead-looking’ when velvety matte, especially in real life and under the crude light of red carpet shots.

The singer will perform Venus on Sunday's results show, following a Twitter outburst which coincided with her rival Katy Perry's X Factor appearance.
Lady Gaga will return to The X Factor to perform her new single, Venus, on Sunday, the day it is released. The announcement arrived shortly after American stars Robin Thicke and Katy Perry played during The X Factor's second live results show.
Gaga singer last appeared on the ITV talent contest in 2011, when she publicly performed her single Marry The Night for the first time. Gaga published a series of tweets aimed at her critics on Sunday night, which coincided with Thicke and Perry's performances.
Gaga and Perry became chart rivals this summer after their new singles, Gaga's Applause and Perry's Roar, which she performed on The X Factor in a tiger suit, were both leaked online over the same weekend. As a result, both artists brought the release date of their singles forward, coinciding in the same week.
The fact Perry's single went to number one ahead of Gaga's was an issue the latter raised during her Twitter outburst. Along with a picture of the two singles' artwork side-by-side, Gaga wrote, "I write for the music not for the charts".

Leonardo DiCaprio has come on board to produce and possibly star in a movie version of Jo Nesbo's upcoming thriller "Blood on the Snow."
Warner Bros. is in negotiations for the film rights to the novel, which will be set up at DiCaprio's Warner-based Appian Way banner for him to produce along with Appian Way partner Jennifer Davisson Killoran and Kevin McCormick via his Warner-based Langley Park shingle.
The book, penned under Nesbo's pseudonym Tom Johansson, centers on a hit man who falls in love with his boss's wife after being assigned to assassinate her.
Nesbo will publish "Blood on the Snow" in the spring and the sequel "More Blood on the Water" in the spring of 2015.
"Blood on the Snow" is the second Nesbo adaption that's been set at Warner Bros. and Langley Park, which came on last year to Nesbo's "The Son."

Why are you leaving Glee?
It wasn’t my choice. The creators decided to do it. We knew it was coming last year – some other characters will also be leaving this season. It’s very sad to be going but I understand why they do it. It’s about getting new blood into the show. I really enjoyed playing Emma. I don’t know how I’m written out yet – I’m so curious.
Jenna Dewan-Tatum has met plenty of male strippers, but she's only fallen in love with one! The Witches of East End star shared some sexy stories from the road during her Wednesday, Oct. 2, appearance on E!'s Chelsea Lately.
"I used to dance with Janet Jackson. I don't know what it is, but her whole thing after the show is, ‘Let's go to a strip club!' Everyone wants to go to strip clubs all over the world," said the star, who married stripper-turned-actor Channing Tatum in 2009. "The thing is, I was 19 and I was on tour and I was completely naïve, hadn't seen the world…We went to gay strip clubs. It was kind of crazy."

Harper Beckham showed that athleticism runs in the family as she scored a goal while playing soccer with friends in LA over the weekend. David was on hand in doting dad mode, taking photos of his daughter and kicking around a ball with his older sons, Romeo, Brooklyn, and Cruz. Mom Victoria was also in sports mode in a casual t-shirt and baggy jeans. Harper's now-signature topknot kept her hair out of her face while she followed in her father's soccer-star footsteps on the field.
