The 10 (5) Best Rap Albums of The Last 5 Years

Albums are what matter. As much as we love all those great verses, awesome beats, and memorable singles, its albums that define genres and eras. Albums provide solid foundations for legacies to lie. It seems simple enough, it’s just a collection of dope songs loosely held together by a concept, theme, or sound. But even then, there aren't any hard and fast rules about how to create a great album.

Sometimes, they just seem to happen; an artist just cracks some unseen code in the Matrix and breaks through with a monumental piece of work. Sometimes, we see it coming all along as an artist finally lives up to their previously untapped potential, other times it comes out of nowhere as a new artist establishes him or herself seemingly overnight. It’s hard to make a great album, but when you do make one best believe we'll cherish it and hold it close to our hearts.

In the last half decade, thousands (if not millions) of rap albums and mixtapes that have been released. We no longer really see the difference between mixtapes and albums; if it's all original music, then it's an album to us. So we narrowed them all down to pick the best of the best. These are The 10 5 Best Rap Albums of The Last 5 Years..

Kendall Jenner Gets Tattoo of Her Spine

Kendall Jenner is certainly not spineless. In fact, she actually tattooed the outline of each vertebra down her back!

But momager Kris Jenner needn't worry—the 17-year-old E! star's ink will eventually wash off.
Makeup artist Nat Wood tweeted a picture of the fake ink, which was "Ken's dope idea," adding, "We are the sharpie tat queens."

Somewhere, Bruce Jenner just breathed a sigh of relief. This isn't the first time Kendall has (wisely!) experimented with permanent marker tattoos. This past February, she got a gigantic skull wearing a feather headdress drawn on her back in Sharpie, too.

The brunette beauty planned on getting inked for real on her 16th birthday, but ultimately decided not to go under the needle. Kim Kardashian was pleased her little sis changed her mind, telling Us Weekly, "Bruce will be so happy!"

"I'm not a fan of tattoos," she added. "Especially at a young age when you change your mind so much."

Think before you ink, dolls.

Taylor Momsen Maxim Magazine

She may be only 20 years old, but Taylor Momsen, the ridiculously hot front woman of the Pretty Reckless, has already accomplished more than most of us lazy bums could imagine. She starred as Cindy Lou Who in How the Grinch Stole Christmas, enjoyed a four-season stint on Gossip Girl, toured the world with Marilyn Manson, and was selected as the face of Madonna's fashion line. Now with the release of her band's second album, Going to Hell, and their current tour, she clearly has her sights set on becoming a bona fide music star. Gentlemen, prepare to get rocked.

How was the shoot?
It went great! We shot at the Ace Hotel in New York, and I brought my guitar. It has a rock n' roll vibe, which is a bit different for Maxim.

Do you have a lot of input in your photo shoots and music videos?
I'm very involved in anything to do with creative, and I actually co-directed the video for "My Medicine". I like to blend music with image, and at my age sexuality is a big part of that, so it seems fitting to me.

You started the Pretty Reckless while you were on Gossip Girl. Were you worried you wouldn't be taken seriously as a musician?
I've been making music since I can remember, and a few years ago I got to a place where I have a band and could quit acting, that was my day job, I was 12 when I signed on to Gossip GIrl, and since then I've had two records, toured with Guns n' Roses... I mean, it feels like a different world.

Tom Hiddleston had to ‘age backward’ for The Hollow Crown

It's not every actor who can portray the same Shakespearean character in two different ways. But British thespian Tom Hiddleston can. He plays the shallow Prince Hal in two of the Bard's "king" plays that have been airing on PBS' Great Performances series The Hollow Crown.

But on Friday he becomes the besieged King of England — Henry V — and finds himself charged with the battle of a lifetime, the fate of a nation in his hands.

No small task for the actor most Americans remember as the evil villain Loki in both Thor and The Avengers.

"Prince Hal is an archetype of what, I think, possibly every young man goes through," says Hiddleston at a press gathering here.

"To test his limits and push boundaries and reject the authority of his father and live in a way that he was not supposed to and has been discouraged from doing. And (he) slowly goes on a journey of accepting responsibility and embracing his inheritance. And I think that rings true of so many great characters in all drama and all history ... you see a young man growing up," he says.

At the beginning Prince Hal seems a rebel without a cause. "He starts out rebellious, drunk, mischievous, wayward and youthful. And then he becomes the greatest warrior king that England has ever had," says Hiddleston.

"And I think there is a through-line and the reason he becomes such a great warrior and is such a great king is probably because of the experience he had as a young man, in my mind."

Applause Remix feat. Manila Luzon & B. Ames

Sickening remix artist B. Ames is at it again. Best known for addictive RuPaul’s Drag Race remixes, Ames has been tearing up the ballroom scene with an exhaustive arsenal of catchy samples, beats, and vogue-tastic jams. Now the mixing-board mastermind is teaming up with Manila Luzon for a re-working of Lady Gaga’s “Applause.”

The new version features Manila contributing some vocal samples, and Ames replacing some of the original version’s overwrought synths with runway-ready drumbeats.

Considering she’s begged to be a judge on Drag Race, we have a feeling Mother Monster would approve.

“There’s a certain amount of comfort between them; they’re much more of a partnership,” Miller told The Hollywood Reporter at the show’s PaleyFest: Made in NY event Oct. 5. “Me and Lucy, we work well together, but we’re looking for friction as well. I think that’s more interesting.”

Watch A Drug-And-Booze Fueled Highlight Video Of Lifetime's "House Of Versace" Starring Gina Gershon

Lifetime's House Of Versace aired last night, and it was excellent to see Gina Gershon in her old thematic stomping ground of playing a coked-up lady boss set on making everyone's lives miserable. Though critically savaged, I'd wager that Gershon's alternately groggy and raving portrayal of Donatella Versace (complete with a caricature of Donatella's rumbling, accented basso) will age about as well as her iconic turn in Showgirls as Cristal Connors.

If nothing else, House Of Versace is a solid entry in the spiraling-women subgenre of camp. In the clip reel above, Gershon snorts, boozes, throws shoes, and breaks her champagne glass on a chandelier—that's her wake-up call, the luxe version of the straw that broke the camel's back.

Keep an eye out for the animatronic creation playing Raquel Welch playing Donatella's Aunt Lucia.

Tom Hanks has Type 2 Diabetes

Show media Loading...

The Captain Phillips star revealed his health problems on Monday night's Late Show with David Letterman, explaining that he found out on a recent trip to the doctor, after more than 20 years of dealing with high blood sugar.

Hanks' history of losing and gaining weight for roles may have contributed to his diagnosis, according to CBS medical contributor Dr. Holly Phillips.

Type 2 diabetes is the most common form of the disease and can be managed with proper treatment. Hanks, too, noted that it's controllable with diet.

"My doctor said, 'Look, if you can weigh as much as you weighed in high school, you will essentially be completely healthy. You will not have Type 2 diabetes.' And then I said to her, 'Well, then, I'm gonna have Type 2 diabetes because there is no way I can weigh as much as I did in high school.'

Hanks told Letterman he weighed 96 pounds in high school.

Is 'Criminal Minds' trying too hard?

As Criminal Minds opens its ninth season, the show is seemingly continuing the trend of pushing the envelope of what you can get away with on broadcast television. The season premiere saw a serial killer force cannibalism on his victims. This included several lingering shots of a rotting head the killer kept in his freezer.

To be fair to Criminal Minds, as the show has gotten older the rest of the television landscape around it has gotten more and more violent. Just look at the eye gougings on FOX’s Kevin Bacon vehicle The Following or pretty much any of the over-the-top death tableaus on NBC’s moody and atmospheric Hannibal. When Criminal Minds started it was one of the only serial killer destinations on the dial, now it has plenty of gory competition.

Perhaps the creative team feels they need to push the envelope in order to stand out from the pack, but it can make watching the show feel like a test of how strong a stomach the audience has. While the early seasons of the drama about profilers at the Behavioral Analysis Unit focused more on profiling and implied more than it showed, the later seasons have gotten increasingly graphic in the depiction of the violence perpetuated by the killers the hunted by the BAU team.

It might be too late to demand the network and the show put the violence genie back in the bottle, but scaling up the violent content just makes the show seem as if it’s grasping at straws as it grows older. Audiences come to Criminal Minds not just to get a good scare, but also to connect with characters they’ve followed for nine years.

Perhaps it’s time for the show to refocus on the profiling work and tone down the violence. There are a million destinations on the dial now to see graphic depictions of violence by serial killers, perhaps Criminal Minds could be a place more concerned about how to catch these killers than gleeful at the violence it can get away with showing on network television.

Michelle Williams Takes Daughter Matilda to Dawson's Creek Set 10 Years After Show Ended

Michelle Williams recently took a trip down memory lane, and she brought her daughter Matilda Ledger along for the ride. From 1998 to 2003, the 33-year-old actress played Jen Lindley on The WB's Dawson's Creek. Though she's now an Oscar-nominated actress with several major film credits on her resume (Brokeback Mountain, Oz the Great and Powerful), Williams hasn't forgotten her TV roots.

In fact, the Montana native recently visited Wilmington, North Carolina, where she filmed the teen drama with costars James Van Der Beek, Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson for six seasons.

"I actually hadn't been back since the show ended, but I went back and took my daughter on vacation and saw people I hadn't seen in 10 years and went to all the places that we used to go," she revealed during the New Yorker Festival on Saturday, Oct. 5. "And it was great. It was actually a real stroke of luck to be transported there."

Williams has been open about her desire to team up onscreen with her former Dawson's Creek costars—with a caveat. "I would very happily do a reunion show. I don't know what it would be," she said during Comic-Con in July 2012. "My character died in the end, so there are certain limitations for me. It's either I come back as a ghost or I'm shot through a lot of gauzy, hazy light as my 19-year-old self."

She added, "I've always said that I would really love to [reunite] and I think independently, we've all been saying that. So, at some point I hope that it does happen [as] . . . a way to honor the past and what a big deal it was for the four or five of us and what a big deal it was for the people who watched it."

In July, Dick was spotted “incredibly intoxicated” at a Hamptons bash. Then in August, RadarOnline.com posted a video of Dick urinating in the street after a wild night out in Los Angeles. Shortly after, friends staged a dramatic intervention and he agreed to leave rehab, but fled after check-in.

Now, RadarOnline.com has learned that Dick has gone completely off the rails during a “bender vacation” in Palm Springs, where sources say he has been unceremoniously ejected from several establishments and spotted asking multiple people for cocaine.

King Tom Hiddleston Wants To Have No Regrets + Hiddles Recites A Poem By e.e. cummings

Tom Hiddleston's biggest fear in life is to have regrets.

The 'Thor: The Dark World' actor admits he isn't worried about dying, but he does worry about looking back and feeling as though he hasn't made the most of his life.

He explained: "I have terrible fear of wasting time. Who knows? Maybe I should relax a bit. Maybe working too hard is wasting time. I have a fear of regret. I'm not afraid of death, although I know that sounds odd."

The 32-year-old British hunk has become a household name for his portrayal of mischievous villain Loki in Marvel's 'Thor' and 'Avengers' movies and he feels it's no coincidence he has achieved success in his thirties as opposed to his earlier years because he feels more prepared to tackle challenging roles and big projects.

He told GQ Magazine: "Maybe it's just getting older. You become so palpably aware this is not a dress rehearsal. There's a big sign in blazing neon that says, 'You haven't got long.' But I think it takes a beat to learn that. Life has to knock you down in order for you to realise it, because when you're a kid, you think you're immortal."

Mariah posts a pic in her bra

Mariah Carey's husband Nick Cannon will be in a rush to get home tonight after she tweeted a sexy shot of her cleavage as part of his birthday surprise. The busty singer, 43, shared the saucy snap earlier today with the caption: "Happy birthday to my hubby Nick Cannon, my baby I'm waiting on you. Hahaha! KKLB. GHL. Mwah."

The former American Idol judge was again speaking in the secret text lingo that both she and her 33-year-old husband use to send private messages on public forums. While "GHL" is still a mystery, some hardcore fans believe "KKLB" stands for "OK OK Lover Boy".

Meanwhile, it was revealed on Monday that music producer Jermaine Dupri is joining MiMi's management team. Having collaborated on hits including Always Be My Baby, Don't Forget About Us and We Belong Together, Carey said in a statement that she and Dupri "have a bond that surpasses music".

Trailer for "The Invisible Woman" with Ralph Fiennes, Felicity Jones & Kristin Scott Thomas

Synopsis from TIFF:
Actress Nelly Ternan was performing in London's Haymarket Theatre when she was first spotted by Charles Dickens, who subsequently cast her in a production of The Frozen Deep. The year was 1857. Dickens was forty-five and had been married some twenty years. Ternan was seventeen. The two began an affair, which was kept a secret from the general public for the duration of their lives. Theirs has since become one of the great love stories in literary history, as alluring for the speculation it inspires as for the details on record as fact.

The Invisible Woman is directed by actor/filmmaker Ralph Fiennes (whose directing debut was Coriolanus), from a screenplay by Abi Morgan based on Claire Tomalin's book. After premiering in Telluride, New York & Toronto, the film arrives in theaters December 25th.

NBC picks up Amy Poehler's "Welcome to Sweden"

NBC is getting into business with Amy Poehler's little brother, Greg Poehler.

The network has acquired the new half-hour comedy series Welcome to Sweden, executive produced by the sibling team of Amy and Greg Poehler and starring the latter, from Entertainment One. The series will feature cameo appearances from the Parks and Recreation star, as well as Will Ferrell, Aubrey Plaza and KISS frontman Gene Simmons.

Created by Greg Poehler, Welcome to Sweden is a fish-out-of-water tale based on the former lawyer's personal life. New York accountant Bruce (Poehler) falls in love with a Swedish girl named Emma (Josephine Bornebusch) and follows her to Sweden. Lena Olin, Illeana Douglas and Patrick Duffy also star as the couple's respective parents.

"This show is a 'first' on so many levels," said Carrie Stein, executive vp global production at eOne Television. "It's the first English-language comedy for TV4; the first television show Greg Poehler has ever created and starred in and executive produced with his sister Amy; and it's the first time NBC has been involved with a comedy shot in Stockholm with a large Swedish cast! The reason this comedy has attracted all these people is because its theme is universal: Love conquers all…even if it means moving to Sweden.”

First Segment From Web Series 'Walking Stories' With Kaya Scodelario & Directed By Luca Guadagnino

While Luca Guadagnino hasn't helmed a narrative feature since 2009's sublime "I Am Love," he's nonetheless been keeping himself busy. This year he dropped the documentary "Bertolucci On Bertolucci" at the Venice Film Festival and he's helmed a variety of fashion and design-centric shorts including "One Plus One" for Giorgio Armani and "Here" for Starwood Hotels, co-written by Tilda Swinton, scored by Jason Schwartzman and starring Agyness Deyn. Now the director has tackled another mini-project, this time for Salvatore Ferragamo.

Kaya Scodelario, Tom Ellis, Billy Manussen, Nathalie Buscombe, Lee Roy Kunze and Lauren Hutton feature in "Walking Stories," an eight-part web series that launches today, with a teaser and the first segment landing online. Clearly influenced by Woody Allen (from the title treatment to the glorious European locations to the jazzy score, but with a slightly fantastical touch), the romantic comedy follows a young woman who recounts her tale of love that takes her from Los Angeles to Shanghai to Florence.

It's going to take a while for this to unfold in full, with new episodes arriving every two weeks. But here's the full first entry to get you started.

Oprah auctioning off her goods

Want to own a few of Oprah’s favorite things? Next month, Winfrey will auction off furniture, antiques, and fine art from her 23,000-square-foot Montecito mansion — which is currently undergoing a major interior redesign — and her homes in Chicago, Maui, and Indiana.

Among the items from The Oprah Winfrey Collection that will go on the block: a collection of English George Smith upholstered furniture, an 18th century Louis XVI chest with an estimated value of between $30,000 and $50,000, and a set of embroidered yellow silk Louis XV armchairs worth between $20,000 and $40,000. Kaminski Auctions will host the event on November 2 at the Santa Barbara Polo Club and Racquet Club in Carpinteria, California. Though free general admission is available, a $100 VIP package guarantees you a reserved seat, a ticket to preview the items, and a catalog containing photos of the lots.

Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy Foundation College Fund, which is dedicated to helping female graduates from the media mogul’s South African school attend college.

Casting News Round Up Featuring - Angela Bassett, Ashley Madekwe, T.I & One More

1 - Angela Bassett has joined that cast of Millennium Films' thriller Survivor, co-starring alongside Milla Jovovich, Emma Thompson, and Pierce Brosnan, in the James McTeigue-directed project, from a script penned by Bill Shelby, to be produced by Charles Winkler and Irwin Winkler.

The film follows an American embassy employee in London, whose job is to prevent terrorists from entering the USA, framed for crimes she didn't commit, and who has to go on the run as she tries to clear her name, while also, by the way, stopping a planned New York City terrorist attack set for New Year's Eve.

The woman will be played by (sorry, not Angela Basset) Milla Jovovich.

No word on Bassett's role yet.

Homeland and Bipolar Disorder: How TV Characters Are Changing the Way We View Mental Illness

Once a taboo topic, mental illness is an increasingly prominent plot line on television, not just on Homeland but on Girls, where Lena Dunham’s Hannah depicts life with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) (when stressed, she organizes everything in a series of eights). The portrayals can be a double-edged sword, however, as they raise awareness of the realities of living with mental illness while frequently focusing on some of the more extreme symptoms and therapies.

John Lennon’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame was defaced with graffiti and other markings over the weekend, just days before what would have been his 73rd birthday on Wednesday.

Vandals scrawled messages, drew a smiley face and added other scribbling over the star on Vine Street near the Capitol Records Tower in Hollywood. The Beatles’ group star and the individual stars for the other members of the group were not damaged.

Peace activist Jerry Rubin, who spearheads an annual celebration at Lennon’s star on the musician's birthday, said Monday that “the special annual public birthday celebration for John Lennon will take place as enthusiastically as ever” this year.

Ana Martinez, a representative for the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, which installs the Walk of Fame stars, told Pop & Hiss on Monday that “I notified the Hollywood Historic Trust last night. I am sure that they are going to look into it as we speak today. I am hoping that it will get cleaned up today.”

Update at 11:19: A representative for Capitol Records said Monday morning, "Though it is the Chamber's responsibility, we were out there first thing this morning attempting to clean the star," Universal Music Group's senior director of adminstration Jim Kuha said. "We made some great progress and then the company that installs the stars for the WOF showed up and they took over. They're going to strip and reseal the star which should take care of it. It will look great for Wednesday's Lennon birthday celebration." That event will take place at 6 p.m. in front of the Capitol tower at 1750 N. Vine St.

Update at 12:54 p.m.: Graffiti was removed and the star was returned to its pristine condition as of midday on Monday, Oct. 7. "We don't mess around," Chamber of Commerce spokeswoman Martinez said. "I yelled out 'Help, we need somebody,' and there they were."

Just in time for his birthday!

Ann Coulter explains how Breaking Bad is like the bible

For readers interested in an Obamacare column this week, please refer to the 40,000 columns I’ve written on the subject from 2008 to last week.

This one’s about AMC’s smash TV series “Breaking Bad” — the most Christian Hollywood production since Mel Gibson’s “The Passion of the Christ.” (Not surprisingly, both were big hits!)

It may seem counterintuitive that a TV show about a meth cook could have a conservative theme, much less a Christian one, but that’s because people think Christian movies are supposed to have camels — or a “Little House on the Prairie” cast. READ THE BIBLE! It’s chockablock with gore, incest, jealousy, murder, love and hate.

One Direction's Louis Tomlinson And Nick Grimshaw In Twitter War Of Words

Harry Styles will find his loyalties firmly divided after his One Direction bandmate Louis Tomlinson and BBF Nick Grimshaw ignited a war of words.

Louis - known for his love of public feuding (just ask The Wanted lads) - got his knickers in a knot when the Radio 1 Breakfast Show DJ appeared to mock one of his moany tweets, which has resulted in a Twitter back-and-forth.

The dramz unfolded like this:

- On Monday, Louis tweeted that he was annoyed he couldn't leave his hotel in Australia because there were photographers outside. "It's a beautiful day and we can't leave the hotel. #papsaretwats," he wrote.

- Grimmy then appeared to reference his tweet in a conversation with producer Matt Fincham on Tuesday's Radio 1 Breakfast Show. "I love a complainy popstar. It’s my favourite thing. All complainy. Ooow, I can’t go outside cos I’m famous, owww," he said.

Kingdom Hearts 3’ Release Date News: More Mature Storyline And Multiplayer Capabilities Revealed

"Kingdom Hearts 3" is coming soon...well sort of. The slow trickle of information regarding KH3 has only made matters worse, after learning that the release date is still years away. Square Enix released the first "Kingdom Hearts 3" trailer during the 2013 Electronic Entertainment Expo, and despite the excitement following the highly anticipate game, production has been slow and nearly nonexistent. The delay has been caused due to the creation of "Final Fantasy XV," Tetsuya Nomura serves as game director for both titles, meaning his focus is spilt. But in recent months it seems that "Final Fantasy 14" has taken precedent over "Kingdom Hearts 3" resulting in a seriously delayed release date.

G-A-Y Owner Jeremy Joseph Praises Madonna + Mariah For NOT Being Divas!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

This may come as a surprise to many, but Madonna is not the diva everyone thinks she is.

Neither is Mariah Carey, known as the the Queen of Divaness, mostly due to her crazy and outrageous backstage demands.

This is according to Jeremy Joseph, the boss of London nightclub G-A-Y, who's had dealings with both of them.

Talking to Digital Spy he spoke about the time both ladies played at the venue and said they were both behaved in a very professional manner.

He said: "Someone like Madonna, the team around her are phenomenal. Everyone's got a role to play and they just get on with it. It runs so smoothly.

"I think anyone who plays G-A-Y does it because they're a certain type of person and they're not this OTT diva."

He also said Mariah Carey was "easygoing and lovely" and definitely didn't demand puppies and air humidifiers in her dressing room, as some reports have suggested in the past.

He explained: "I remember at the time the press ringing me up on the Monday going, 'What did she ask for?' I was like, 'Well nothing. Just towels and water.'

"You could hear the disappointment in their voices, because she's not what they would expect."

G-A-Y is based in the Heaven club near Charing Cross station, where it moved five years ago from the London Astoria, its original venue.

Stars from Kylie to The Spice Girls to Cher to Take That to the late Amy Winehouse have graced its stage and this year, the club celebrates its 20th anniversary.

And to mark the milestone, Joseph has compiled G-A-Y The Album, which is released on Monday and features the best of the artists who have played there in the last two decades.

Bruce and Kris Jenner have separated after 22 years of marriage.

"We are living separately and we are much happier this way," the pair exclusively tell E! News.

"But we will always have much love and respect for each other. Even though we are separated, we will always remain best friends and, as always, our family will remain our number one priority."

Rumors of marital trouble have been shadowing the Jenners for months, but the family has kept a unified front in shutting those stories down.

"We just laugh it off," Kris told E! News last November. "We love each other and just laugh about it...These kind of stories have been circulating for the last couple of years."

Radio show does an interview with Britney Spears and then stunt Britney

Britney Spears gave another radio interview, this time to Mojo in the Morning in Michigan, and before she got on the line the DJs discussed their distaste leading up to the call because the label explicitly told them no personal questions, no relationship questions and "no funny business."
During her time in Vegas, Britney says she's going to hit up some of the world-famous buffets and possibly check out the Chippendales show with her mom.
One question Britney hasn't answered in a long time is: What's left for Britney Spears?
"There's a lot I haven't done. I haven't done musicals, broadway, television. There's a lot of stuff I have on the table that I want to do."
The DJ mentions she did The X Factor, to which Brit replies that it wasn't her passion.
They bring on a "stunt Britney" after the real Britney gets off the line to answer questions the real Britney won't answer (or even get asked).

Jennifer Connelly & Anthony Mackie fall hard for each other

Jennifer Connelly and Anthony Mackie ditched doubles while filming an exceptionally dramatic kissing scene for Shelter on Monday (7 October). The two co-stars embraced and fell to the pavement, their fall cushioned by an inflatable. Shelter is directed by Connelly's husband of ten years Paul Bettany, and follows two people who fall in love while homeless on the streets of New York and learn they need each other to move forward.

Kanye West to appear on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'

Kanye West and Jimmy Kimmel are putting their differences aside. The hip-hop superstar will appear on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” on Wednesday night.

The talk show host made the announcement on Twitter. “TOMORROW NIGHT, MY GUEST WILL BE @kanyewest (for real, yes and was it all a setup, no),” tweeted Kimmel.

The two faced off after Kimmel parodied the rapper’s BBC interview in a sketch on his show. Kanye fired back in a series of all-caps tweets.

Kimmel laughed off the beef, adding, “I don’t know why he’s angry. The bit was I thought pretty innocuous, but finally I’m in a rap feud.”

Tune in tomorrow night at 11:35 p.m. to see them hash it out.

Dan Harmon makes light of rape again; no1 is surprised

Dan Harmon is a colossal dick. Any modicum of talent he maybe possesses is besmirched by his colossal dickishness in every other gross pig way. He was such a colossal dick to work with, NBC fired him off of his own show (when your show is airing on a network that was run into the ground by hard-partying douchebag Ben Silverman, and even they won't look the other way on your cocaine-snorting workdays, you know you're a dick). Then, when they hired him back, instead of projecting a deservedly smug image, Harmon compared the season not run by him to watching his family "get raped on a beach." Pleasant.

After a string of half-hearted apologies (how seriously can you take a guy who describes himself "I guess I already knew this, but apparently, I’m quite a genius"), it seemed that Harmon was ready to hunker down and get back to restoring Community to its former glory. But wait, it's Dan Harmon, so he can't help but twist his doughy foot into his ever open mouth! This time by comparing season 4 of Community to Jeffrey Dahmer, who no big deal, just raped and murdered 17 people.

In conclusion, you already knew this but Dan Harmon is absolutely fucking nuts. Please stop watching Community and fueling his equally crippling addictions to cocaine and narcissism masked as self-loathing.

Marvel to FINALLY make Disney park debut ... in Hong Kong

Marvel’s Iron Man Coming to Hong Kong Disneyland in 2016

As I’ve often said, one of the greatest things about Disney is the treasure trove of characters and rich stories we have to draw upon for the immersive experiences we provide our guests around the world. With Marvel joining the Disney family in 2009, our character and story base grew even further, and the anticipation for how Marvel comes to life in our parks and resorts continues to energize our guests and cast.

That’s why it was so exciting earlier today at Hong Kong Disneyland to announce that the very first Disney attraction based on a Marvel character experience will debut in Hong Kong Disneyland. And I’m excited to be able to share some of the initial details with you today about this Iron Man Experience.

The Wanted Max George: 'I drunkenly shaved Jay's hair off'

The Wanted star Max George has confirmed to Digital Spy that he shaved off bandmate Jay McGuiness's hair after a night of drinking.

McGuiness stunned fans last week when he appeared at a gig in Brighton with half his hair shaved off, in what many assumed was a dramatic style overhaul.

Speaking to us at the Pride of Britain awards last night, George owned up to the prank, but argued that the unplanned hairdo looked "pretty smart".

"I actually cut it on a drunken night in and I think it looks alright," he said. "It was impromptu, but I think he's looking pretty smart."

On his decision to throw a sock containing McGuiness's hair clippings to spectators at the gig, George explained: "I couldn't find a bag, so I just used whatever I could find.

Doctor Who episodes thought lost forever have been found, BBC confirms

 photo DrWho_zpsb3b965eb.jpg

A number of early episodes of Doctor Who, which were believed to have been permanently lost, have been returned to the BBC.

BBC Worldwide is expected to confirm the find at a press screening in London later this week.

It follows weeks of speculation that some lost episodes had been located.

A total of 106 episodes featuring the first two actors to play the Doctor, William Hartnell and Patrick Troughton, are currently missing.

The BBC destroyed many of the sci-fi drama's original transmission tapes in the 1960s and 1970s.

However, the majority of the episodes had been transferred on to film for foreign broadcasters. It is often these prints found in other countries that are the source of retrieved episodes.

In 1991, all four instalments of the Patrick Troughton adventure The Tomb of the Cybermen were discovered in Hong Kong.

The latest find comes as Doctor Who celebrates its 50th birthday. A special episode featuring the current Doctor Matt Smith and his predecessor David Tennant will be shown on the programme's anniversary on 23 November.

A raft of other programming to celebrate the long-running drama was also recently announced by the BBC.

Details of how fans will be able to watch the recovered episodes are also expected to be revealed later this week.

Yes! At last! It's happening people, it's really happening! More details later this week. So, who's excited?

Ray Donovan Star Johnathon Schaech Introduces Son

“I look in Camden’s eyes and I see nothing but his future — and my purpose.”

The new dad, and newlywed introduced his baby boy on his Twitter account Thursday with a black and white photo of father and son sharing a sweet smooch.

“Camden Quinn — Daddy loves you!!!” Schaech, 43, captioned the memorable moment.

“From the moment Camden Quinn was born, I changed for the good — forever,” he tells PEOPLE.

“It all makes sense now,” Schaech told People following his son’s arrival. “We are so happy and beyond excited — life has just begun.”

Fiona Apple addresses Portland Heckling

“She’s very raw right now,” Fiona Apple’s publicist warns me repeatedly over the phone last Friday. Some rawness is warranted—the previous evening, an audience member at the opening night of the singer's new tour had interrupted her with an unsolicited suggestion, calling attention to Apple’s weight and appearance. “Fiona, get healthy! We want to see you in 10 years,” the fan yelled. “I saw you 20 years ago and you were beautiful.” By the next morning, reports that Apple kicked the woman out of the venue and struggled to finish the show were circulating online.

“I’m great and I’m terrible and I'm great and I'm terrible,” Apple says when she gets on the line, before apologizing for her hoarse post-show voice and “sounding like a monotonous curmudgeon.” But she seems clear-headed and reasonable, and the words she’s so often pegged to—“meltdown” and “fiasco,” to name a couple—quickly fall away. For someone who once said it’s an ordeal just to get out of her house and go to the grocery store, she sounds pretty at-ease on a cross-country tour bus. Especially since this is the point in the album cycle—a little more than a year after The Idler Wheel's release—where Apple would typically recede from the limelight altogether and retreat to her home in Venice, California, free from turbulent performances and strangers telling her she’s too skinny.

Hemsworth's sister-in-law 'didn't approve' of Miley

A source close to the Hemsworth family tells Radar Online, that a major reason why the pop star, 20, and actor, 23, split, is because older brother Chris Hemsworth’s wife didn’t care for the former “Hannah Montana” star.

“She spent the last year freezing Miley out in some kind of passive-aggressive move,”
the source told the gossip site.

BRUCE JENNER He Finally Said 'F**K THIS S**T'

Bruce Jenner is a simple man who likes simple things, and Kris is the exact opposite, which is why, according to a very connected family source, Bruce finally said, "F**k this s**t" and he moved to Malibu.

Several family sources all confirm ... Bruce has always been "a simple man" who likes 3 things -- golf, racing cars and RC helicopters.  He has always shunned the "Hollywood life" and it makes him extremely uncomfortable.

Kris -- in case you didn't know -- is ambitious ... some say to a fault.  One family source put it this way:  "She's on a freight train and Bruce finally wanted off."

We're told Kris wasn't the one who wanted Bruce to move out , because it wasn't good for the show or the Kardashian brand.  It was Bruce who just got sick of it.  It wasn't that he was bossed around or got into big fights with Kris -- it's just that he wasn't happy around her.

Aside from his hobbies, Bruce is now obsessed with re-establishing a relationship with his sons, Brandon and Brody, who were raised by their mom Linda Thompson and her then hubby David Foster.  We're told Bruce and his boys now have "an adult relationship" and are finally getting along -- and that's what is making him happy

Protesters outside Daily Mail offices condemn 'campaign of hatred'

Protesters have gathered outside the offices of the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday to voice their opposition to what they described as "grotesque acts of journalism" by both titles in their ongoing spat with the Labour leader, Ed Miliband.

Around 200 trade unionists and leftwing campaigners joined Muslim leaders for the demonstration outside the newspapers' London headquarters.

"The message is clear," said the journalist and campaigner Owen Jones, addressing the crowd. "Enough is enough: stop your campaign of hatred."

Jones said the newspapers had waged a vicious campaign demonising large sections of society, from public sector workers to women and trade union members.

"We are speaking up for decency … this is a show of cheerful defiance by all the people who have been picked on by the Daily Mail."

Script for Cancelled "Justice League: Mortal" Movie Leaks

Marvel may have edged out DC cinematically with their adaptation miracle of “The Avengers” and the goodwill that it afforded them, but if a series of calamitous episodes never befell director George Miller back in 2007, the record might have been a little different. Borne from the development of “Batman Begins” and decent reception for “Superman Returns,” the “Mad Max” director was tapped to direct a “Justice League” film for WB, but as the budget surpassed $200 million, tax incentives changed for the worse in their planned shooting location of Australia, and the writers' strike hit, the project quickly fell apart. Well, now the blueprints for the catastrophe have been revealed for any interested parties.
Collapse )
Based on three comic book story arcs—“JLA: Tower of Babel,” “Superman: Sacrifice” and “Crisis on Infinite Earth” #8—the script for the film written by Kieran and Michele Mulroney has been leaked and offers a glimpse into exactly the situation that Miller was entering. Even though Christopher Nolan was developing “The Dark Knight” with Christian Bale during pre-production on “Justice League,” there was never any intent for the actor to play Batman in Miller's film; rather, Armie Hammer was set to play the role, while D.J. Cotrona ("G.I. Joe: Retaliation") was locked in as Superman. It also planned for Adam Brody as The Flash and Megan Gale as Wonder Woman.

The script focuses on the seven superheroes' relationship to an all-powerful satellite system that Batman rigged to spy on them, and jumps off from that into some social commentary mixed with your usual high-stakes action setpieces.
It also poses an curious bizarro universe of the present superhero flick landscape—one in which Miller attempted the gargantuan task of a much-rushed, ensemble superhero experiment, and very likely could have temporarily killed adaptations in the same way that “Batman and Robin” did in 1997.

You can read the full script over at Superhero Movie News, but while Miller's “Justice League” script failed to get a version of Wonder Woman back then, WB is actively looking for a way to get her on somewhere now. WB CEO Kevin Tsujihara participated in a keynote at USC recently (via Coming Soon), and during his talk exclaimed that “We need to get Wonder Woman on the big screen or TV," and also that his company has “huge plans for a number of other DC properties" on the small screen. As we already know, "Gotham"—a series set around a young Commissioner Gordon—is brewing over at Fox, so perhaps it's just the first in what could be a slew of new projects.

Miley Cyrus Has Producer Mike Will Made-It To Thank For Relaunching Her Music Career

 photo miley-cyrus-and-mike-will_zps6d2f5d41.jpg

Miley Cyrus released her latest album, "Bangerz", on Tuesday, and the singer has been hard at work lately trying to drum up a little publicity for the record.

But the renewed success she's found as a singer hasn't come from all her recent headline-grabbing antics, it's come from Atlanta-based hip-hop producer Michael Williams, aka Mike Will or Mike Will Made It.

Will produced the first single from Miley's new album, "We Can't Stop", a track originally intended for Rihanna.

"The song reminded her of different parties she had been to," says Williams, 24. "It just ended up connecting with her."

The duo planned a second collaboration on the album, but soon after the producer found himself contributing to eight of the album's 13 tracks and executive producing the whole thing.

"The whole album was bangers, and that's actually how she came up with the title," Williams tells USA Today. "Everybody was like, 'Yo, so how's your album sounding?' And we were just saying, 'We got all bangers.'"

Williams has also produced hit singles for the likes of Ciara, Rihanna, Kanye West, Future and 2 Chainz.

Elementary's Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu Answer Readers' Burning Questions

One of Elementary's stars is misbehaving. No, it's not Jonny Lee Miller, aka Sherlock Holmes, who is currently upside down on the hit drama's Queens set, doing handstand push-ups to get the blood rushing to his brain so he can remember the huge chunk of expository dialogue he needs to spit out. And it's not Lucy Liu (sidekick Joan Watson), who is quietly sitting at a desk with a computer, an iPad, an iPod and a BlackBerry.

It's Clyde, Sherlock and Watson's pet turtle, who's having a diva moment. The creature has stopped moving, so it's quickly replaced by a second turtle — a "stunt Clyde," as Liu jokingly calls it. "You never really know what's going to set them off," Miller says of the turtles. "They can be surly. Just temperamental showbiz turtles, though. I wouldn't want to besmirch the species as a whole." Liu defends the animal. "Clyde has been very patient," she says. "He's been taken out of a safe environment and he's got hot lights shining on him."

TSwift Nashville Songwriter/Artist of the year for the 6th time, and TSwift Education Center opens

On Saturday, the Taylor Swift Education Center will open at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. The center is the product of a $4 million donation pledged by Swift in 2012 – the largest single donation made by an artist in the museum’s 46-year history. Its facilities span two floors and include three classrooms and a “learning lab” as well as a children’s exhibit gallery, which will open next year. The center is opening earlier than expected - when Swift's donation was announced last year, it was slated for "early 2014."

“We are deeply indebted to Taylor for this wonderful gift, which will help us continue to fulfill our educational mission and serve our worldwide audience,” museum director Kyle Young said in the press release. “It is not an overstatement to say that the Taylor Swift Education Center will have a profound impact on our museum, our new campus, our city and even our country.” The Grammy winner hasn’t commented on her donation, letting the gift speak for itself.

Among the items set to be in that gallery are Swift’s songwriter/artist of the year awards from the Nashville Songwriters Association International -- and she'll be adding another trophy to that collection on Sunday.

The organization announced Tuesday that Swift will be named their songwriter/artist of the year for the sixth time during their annual awards and induction ceremony Sunday night at the Music City Center. Swift has now won the award more times than any other artist (surpassing five-time winners Vince Gill and Alan Jackson), and remains the youngest artist to receive the honor. The award is determined by chart performance and songwriting credits, and Swift was the sole songwriter or co-writer on 14 Top 30 songs from July 2012 through June 2013.

Colbert Shows The Government Shutdown IS 'Some Damn Game'

To mark the Government shutdown's one-week anniversary, Stephen Colbert distilled our nation's woes into something we can all get behind: a hilarious board game.

After catching up on the latest developments in "President Obama's" shutdown (during which the Republicans in Congress have been nothing but flexible), Colbert found the one thing that both sides can agree on: the shutdown is not a game -- or, "some damn game" -- as Speaker Boehner put it.

But that's where everyone's wrong. As Colbert shows in the clip above, "Not A Game," The Government Shutdown Home Game, perfectly captures the country's current frustrations.
