Miley Cyrus twerks and grabs crotch in plunging corset, breaks down onstage

Vegas, baby!

A slew of artists rocked Sin City for the iHeartRadio Musical Festival, the star-studded bonanza held Sept. 20-21 that pulled together an eclectic mix of top hitmakers and their celebs admirers.

In what essentially amounted to a mega musical mashup, a bevy of chart-topping mainstays, including Elton John, Chris Brown, Robin Thicke, Katy Perry and fun., hit the stage at the MGM Grand – that is, when they weren't schmoozing with one another in between sets.

The shindig also featured Miley Cyrus's first performance since calling off her engagement to Liam Hemsworth.

Taking the stage in a tight white corset top and skimpy white shorts, Cyrus, 20, opened her set with "We Can't Stop" as people dressed as mushrooms, rainbows and flowers danced behind her. She later twerked with a barrage of little people who joined her onstage, happily slapping one's derriere.

Marvel's 'Black Widow' Movie Delay: Are White Males the Only Superheroes That Matter?

Former Marvel chairman Stan Lee recently announced that Black Widow, the fierce Russian spy and agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. played by Scarlett Johansson in the current Marvel movies, might be the subject of a feature film. That would be really brilliant news for female superheroes ... except Lee doesn't expect Marvel Studios to bring Natalia Romanova's story to the big screen until after the company completes work on lesser-known heroes like Doctor Strange, the Guardians of the Galaxy and Ant-Man.

Not familiar with Ant-Man? Well, he's a scientist, capable of shrinking in size, armed with a helmet that can control ants, and -- spoiler alert -- a straight, white, male.

When you think about it, most superheros fit the demographic portion of that description. Of course, on some level, this reflects the fact that macro culture is defined by the straight, white, male. Yet, the trend is especially problematic when it comes to superheroes, because of the way in which superheroes are defined. For an archetype driven by the concept of strength in otherness, superhero legends have quite the problem with others.

Jon Gosselin Pulls a Gun on a Photographer

Former reality TV star turned waiter Jon Gosselin reportedly pulled a gun on a photographer in Pennsylvania on Friday.

According to TMZ, the erstwhile Jon & Kate Plus 8 star got upset when a shutterbug followed him home from his new job waiting tables at the Black Dog restaurant in Beckersville, Pa.

She allegedly trailed him off the main roads and onto a dirt road as he headed to his isolated country cabin (where he has no Internet or TV), and when she whipped out her camera and started taking pics, Gosselin, 36, angrily approached her and allegedly pulled a gun out of the back of his pants.

The photographer claims the father of eight yelled at her for trespassing and then fired off a warning shot. He then followed her until she got back on the main road, she says.

Gosselin, meanwhile, acknowledges the incident but insists that he acted well within his rights.

"I am licensed to carry a concealed handgun, which I withdrew and used to fire a warning shot away from the paparazza," he tells TMZ.

Gosselin's lawyer declined to comment.

Why TV's Top Show will always be snubbed at the Emmys

If timing is everything, then "NCIS" has nothing. At least where the Primetime Emmys are concerned.
No, TV's most-watched show was not nominated for Outstanding Drama Series, nor has it ever been nominated for Outstanding Drama Series, nor perhaps will it ever be nominated.
"I just couldn't see it happening," says Jonathan Nichols-Pethick, author of "TV Cops: The Contemporary American Television Police Drama."
Maybe we should rephrase: Bad timing is everything.
The beginning of the end was in the beginning. In 2004, the first year that "NCIS" was eligible for an Emmy, "The Sopranos" became the first cable show to claim the top drama prize.

Paparazzi mistake random girl for Jennifer Hudson

A pedestrian made it onto gossip sites, after being mistaken for Jennifer Hudson.

Photographers took photos of a random girl as she was walking down the street, believing she was the singer.

The mystery woman commented on her instagram, "I'm all over the internet..... I just want to clear this up! I WAS NOT trying to Impersonate @iamjhud I was minding my business on the phone with my mom! BUT I do look good! Thanks."

The picture was then uploaded to a celebrity website with the headline "Jennifer Hudson Dressing to Impress" with the following text:

"Jennifer Hudson was looking chic in her fitted dress in Beverly Hills! What do you think of peplum dresses? They’re definitely popular this fall. I love the look and think Jennifer’s looking FAB here.

A friend and I were talking about peplum dresses. They make you feel like you’re perhaps covering up a little bit of extra, um, padding around your waist. Yet I’m not sure they really do that. I almost wonder if the peplum might draw a little bit of extra attention there. What do you think? Do you think the peplum can hide a little bit of extra padding or not?"

With two episodes left, this comes a little early, but since Bad creator Vince Gilligan says "Ozymandias" is the best the series has ever done, we feel comfortable marking it as our favorite for season 5B.

Reviews Of Prada's S/S 2014 Feminist Collection From Milan Fashion Week + The End Of Prada Marfa?

[The Daily Beast] Britney Spears is not the first person you think of when wandering between the stucco-covered, old-world facades of Milan -- the Italian fashion capital where the upscale worker-bees wander around in bespoke suits.

But inside Prada’s Spring/Summer 2014 ready-to-wear show, which showed there on Thursday evening, Spears’s new single, “Work Bitch,” blasted over the loud speaker. It set the tone for another scene altogether: a mad world created in a fit of inspiration by Miuccia Prada, with the backup of six graffiti artists and muralists who created a louder-than-life set to serve as a backdrop for the playful clothes.

Images from the muralists explored ideas of femininity and power in murals that were actually inspired by political wall art from Mexican muralists, such as Diego Luna. The show space was set up as a streetscape, centered around an island where the expressionistic art played loud and colorful, like the clothes.

The Half-Blood Prince, George Alexander Louis, Tops Power List Of 1,000 Most Influential Londoners

London's Evening Standard newspaper has released its annual "Power 1000" list of "most influential Londoners," and baby Prince George — who does not even have the puissance to control his own bowels — is ranked number 1. What this says about the structure of London society is yours to decide, but the royal infant did manage to create a run on swaddling blankets during his first week of life, so that says something, at least? The paper's official reasoning: "The eight-week-old son of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge was chosen because he has become the capital’s biggest global ambassador." That's a bullish statement, considering he is neither big nor verbal, and a bit insulting to London's mayor, Boris Johnson, who was bumped down to the number 2 spot despite fabulous pictures of him riding a Barclays Cycle (London's version of Citi Bikes).

A great deal of little George's popularity arguably stems from the public interest in his mother, Kate Middleton, who comes in at number 7 behind a bunch of politicians, including David Cameron. Like her son, Middleton charms many while speaking very little, and also has the power to make merchandise fly off shelves simply by wearing it. Meanwhile, the prince's father, Prince William, is tied at eleventh place along with brother Harry; they're closely followed by other famous Brits like Harry Styles, Cara Delevingne, and the queen herself. Anyway, such power lists are inevitably a bit ridiculous, but who can really fault them for inventing a reason to put the prince on their front page?

When will your lesser and commoner celebrity baby faves ever, ONTD?

Gucci Mane tweets apologies to Drake,Birdman and Rick Ross

Gucci Mane's ongoing Twitter saga might have finally reached its conclusion. Reactivating his account after an 11 day hiatus, Gucci announced that he will be going to rehab shortly. He is currently in jail after being locked up last week on marijuana and gun possession charges. Gucci went on to add that he is addicted to lean, and that the addiction has caused him not to remember some of the things he has said and done over the years. Apparently, he has been using lean for over ten years.

His last tweet was an apology to three people: Drake, Birdman, and Rick Ross, presumably for calling them out during his Twitter rant over one week ago. It is interesting that Gucci chose to name these three specific artists in this apology, which might suggest that his issues with former collaborators such as Nicki Minaj and Waka Flocka Flame have not been resolved. Meanwhile, some people are already speculating that these tweets do not come from Gucci, citing the vocabularly used and the punctuation. (lol)

Bruno Mars, Justin Timberlake, Miguel shine at day 2 of iHeartRadio festival

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - There's a reason why Bruno Mars is set to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show.

The pop crooner was in perfect form at the iHeartRadio music festival Saturday night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. He wowed with his slick moves and energetic vibe.

Bruno Mars led the pack of men who entertained the crowd of thousands at the iHeartRadio festival. The singer was smooth as ever: He kicked off his set with fun, upbeat numbers "Locked Out of Heaven" and "Treasure," but transitioned to a soulful and passionate performance of "If I Was Your Man." He earned whistles from the audience.

Mars reached epic heights when he sang "Runaway Baby" — he was funky and even imitated James Brown's signature dance moves. The legend would be proud. The singer-songwriter-producer finished with a smoky, steamy rendition of his latest single, "Gorilla."

Justin Timberlake also held his own with the night's closing performance. Floyd Mayweather, who's dominating win over Canelo Alvarez last week in Las Vegas was the richest fight ever, introduced Timberlake as "the heavyweight champion of music." His set included "Cry Me a River," ''Take Back the Night" and "Like I Love You."

Drake got concertgoers out of their seats when he performed "HYFR" and "Started from the Bottom."

"I'm here to party," he told the crowd.

Miguel was in a similar mood: After performing "Adorn" and "#Beautiful," he urged the crowd to "have a good night and make some bad decisions."

Badgirlriri promotes the captivity and mutilation of exotic animals; selfie used to catch criminals

Rihanna is a woman of many talents — she's a smoker of L's, a talented thrower of side-eye, a kidnapper of fans, a possible giver of Herpes, and now, a quasi-international crime stopper.

RiRi was in Thailand on vacation this weekend when she saw a slow loris she couldn't resist. The bad girl posted a picture of herself with the adorable Ramona Singer-eyed primate on Instagram, receiving more than 200,000 likes.

Among those who did not like the photo were Thai authorities, who tracked down the two men who allegedly provided Rihanna with the slow loris, a protected species in Thailand.

"Phuket authorities were alerted to the picture (of Rihanna), and last night police arrested the two individuals who brought out the loris as a photo opportunity for tourists," a Phuket district chief told the AP.

The locals, a 16-year-old boy and a 20-year-old man, face four years in prison and a fine of approximately $1,300.

I feel like watching Locked Up Abroad now. Those Thai prisons are no joke.

New MTV show 'Big Tips Texas' equates hard work with shedding clothes for money

big tips 3

MTV's latest docu-series is called “Big Tips Texas” and stars a handful of girlfriends working at the bar Redneck Heaven just outside of Dallas, while “hoping to make their dreams reality.”

“United by the bonds of sisterhood, these women’s lives are loaded with tons of comedy, drama and heart,” reads the MTV press release. “They fight, make up and love like sisters all while working their way towards adulthood one crazy shift at a time. Whether they’re spending their free time on Lake Lewisville, planning their futures or getting dirty on the ranch, they’re living it up and letting loose every day.”

Which in MTV-land involves wearing as few clothes as possible, cat-fighting, "hooping" with guys, hanging out of the sports cars, grabbing each other’s backsides, and being proud to be referred to as a “Redneck girl.”

“Big Tips Texas” doesn’t debut until October 9, but critics are already lashing out against network, which targets viewers as young as 12.

“First Miley Cyrus and now this? The combination of the increasing spending power of younger and younger girls and the increasing need to sexualize these young girls leads to a lowering of good taste,” popular culture critic Elayne Rapping told FOX411. “And to say the least, enough already.”

Saoirse Ronan Talks Wes Anderson vs Ryan Gosling Behind the Camera

TORONTO - Saoirse Ronan has been in this business a long time. She may only be 19-years-old, but the best supporting actress nominee for "Atonement has been a working actor for a decade. She's already collaborated with filmmakers such as Joe Wright, Peter Jackson, Peter Weir, Neil Jordan, and Gillian Armstrong. She's shot all over the globe and walked the red carpets at some of the greatest film festivals in the world. Today, however, Ronan is lying on a couch in a downtown Toronto hotel room as we meet to discuss her latest endeavor, Kevin Macdonald's "How I Live Now."

Ronan isn't being disrespectful or immature, there is just no pretense with her. She's tired. She wants to lie down (it's not like she isn't smiling). Perhaps she gets it from her father, actor Paul Ronan, who I'd met while waiting to talk to Saoirse. The elder Ronan was hanging out in an accompanying suite showing a mutual friend a copy of one of his favorite films, Keen Ivory Wayan's "I'm Gonna Git You Sucka." There is a genial and energetic bluntness to both Ronans that comes across when you first meet them. And to say it's refreshing is a bit of an understatement. But, there is work at hand, and that's chatting about "How I Live Now" which debuted at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival.

Dexter’s Terrible Final Season and How Breaking Bad Ruined the Series

Think back to the late fall of 2007, if you can. If you were a TV buff at that time, there were a handful of shows that mattered. The Sopranos had just ended its run, while Mad Men had just begun. 30 Rock had come roaring onto the scene over the course of the calendar year, unleashing many of its funniest episodes. And one of the big questions left hanging by the TV season that had ended the previous spring was what, exactly, was up with Lost’s flash-forwards.

Yet the show of the moment, arguably the most buzzed-about program of that point in time, was Dexter, Showtime’s serial-killer thriller, which ripped through a second season that was so critically acclaimed and so successful with viewers that CBS actually aired bowdlerized versions of its episodes in prime time while waiting out the concurrent writers’ strike. The series had been promising in its first season, but in its second season, it dug deep to come up with a riveting story arc in which the many corpses Dexter Morgan had tossed into the ocean from his boat resurfaced and forced him to find a plausible cover story, while Sergeant James Doakes, the one coworker who suspected Dexter of being anything more than the dorky guy from the office, closed in on his prey.

'The Fifth Estate' Script Leaked By WikiLeaks Ahead Of Film's Release

NEW YORK — WikiLeaks has posted the script to "The Fifth Estate" and made its most forceful denunciation of the film about the site's creation and its colorful founder.

The whistleblower website posted a memo calling the movie "irresponsible, counterproductive and harmful." The DreamWorks film, which Disney will release Oct. 18, chronicles the birth of WikiLeaks with Benedict Cumberbatch playing site founder Julian Assange.

Assange has previously called "The Fifth Estate" "a massive propaganda attack." In a lengthy, point-by-point posting, WikiLeaks refuted the film's depiction of WikiLeaks, disputing everything from its suggestion that documents the site released put confidential sources in danger, to the idea that Assange dyes his hair.

"Most of the events depicted never happened, or the people shown were not involved in them," reads the posting. "It has real names, real places, and looks like it is covering real events, but it is still a dramatic and cinematic work, and it invents or shapes the facts to fit its narrative goals."

LGBT Celebrity Biopic Films: 11 ~Dream Casting~ Suggestions

At this weekend's 65th annual Emmy Awards the Liberace biopic, "Behind the Candelabra," looks poised to take home some major awards (after already winning eight last weekend at the Creative Arts Emmys).

And with news that Matt Bomer is set to play Montgomery Clift in an upcoming film based on the star's life, as well as the release of "Kill Your Darlings," starring Daniel Radcliffe as poet Allen Ginsberg, it seems we are in the middle of a wave of new gay biopics.

So we took it upon ourselves to hold a dream casting session for films based on famous gay celebrities. Some of them have been rumored about or have been in development in the past, but others are just wishful thinking.

Tell us your thoughts in the comments below and let us know who you would've cast.

Whoopi Goldberg as Tracy Chapman

Academy Award-winning actress Whoopi Goldberg would play Tracy Chapman in her later years as she embarks on a greatest hits tour. She would tell stories of growing up in poverty and her path to musical success with her breakthrough self-titled debut album (young Chapman would be played by Tony winner LaChanze). Cue the epic "Fast Car" montage.

Justin Timberlake as Elton John

While he's already held his own in films like "The Social Network," Timberlake could step to leading man status in the biopic that's rumored to have been in the works for years. Elton John already wants Timberlake to play him, so we only have to wait and hope the Hollywood gods agree.

Former 'Dexter' Showrunner Agrees This Season Is Crap + Eight Rare Behind-the-Scenes Photos

Clyde Phillips, the current showrunner on Showtime’s Nurse Jackie, ran Dexter for its first four season, or what we like to call the good seasons. He’s the guy who pitched the Trinity Killer season, and hired John Lithgow. He left after the fourth season, however, and the show has never been the same. Phillips has been on Reddit answering questions about Nurse Jackie and Dexter for days. Literally. In fact, if you go over there now, it may not be too late to ask another question.

Lots of folks, obviously, want to know his opinion on the final season, and Phillips has not been shy about answering. He hasn’t exactly trashed the final season, but he’s certainly not a fan, and he thinks the show has been declined since season five. He did, however, suggest that tonight’s series finale is a strong one, although as he reiterates, it’s not the ending he would’ve chosen (he promises on Monday to reveal the ending he’d have gone with).

I read through the Reddit AMA, and pulled some quotes from Phillips that give us an idea of what he thinks of this season.
