Catwalk Queen: Cara Delevingne (+ some other models and celebrities) at London Fashion Week

It's a high street retailer that has grown a celebrity following over the years, so it's no surprise to see so many VIPs on the front row of Topshop Unique's London Fashion Week show.

Collaborator and best friend of Sir Phillip Green, Kate Moss was present, front and centre, sat between the fashion mogul and his son Brandon, with Anna Wintour's sartorial presence felt one seat along.

But the young hot things of TV, film and music were also taking in the spring/summer 2014 offerings from Topshop's capsule premium range, with Daisy Lowe and Samantha Barks hugging and giggling while they watched Cara Delevingne and Jourdan Dunn strut their way down the runway at Regent's University on Sunday.

Rebel Wilson: "I’m a big girl – I’m allowed to dish out the fat jokes"

Rebel Wilson insists she has a licence to dole out the ‘fat jokes’.

The Aussie star hit back at critics after coming under fire for making light of her own weight.

The 27-year-old rose to fame playing token ‘larger’ roles in films like Bridesmaids where she played a British Honey Boo Boo style character alongside Matt Lucas, and Pitch Perfect where she played a singer who called herself Fat Amy.

‘As long as I look like this, I’m going to make fat jokes,’ the funny girl said in retaliation to those who have criticised her for falling on size-based jokes in her career.

Earlier this year she was called out by Forbes magazine who accused her of over-using ‘fat women can be funny’ jokes while hosting the MTV Movie Awards.

‘All comedians have to use their physicality, so I use my size,’ she told Hunger magazine, talking to fashion and lifestyle magazine Hunger and continuing to be unashamed of her size.

She also expressed her hopes that other women will look up to her as an alternative pin-up to those who can’t associate with ‘classic’ Hollywood stars.

‘Before, it was all glamorous types like Kate Hudson who served as, like, the female equivalent of a “straight man”. Now it’s turning, and it’s really good,’ she told the fashion and lifestyle magazine. Read the full interview in Hunger magazine out on Thursday.

Jay Z and Miguel's Recent Fail Memes Come to Life on Polos

Celebrity fail memes are the gift that just keep on giving. As if we didn't already get mad chuckles out of people poking fun of Jay Z weirdly jumping in a pool, Miguel executing a crazy Hogan leg-drop on an audience member at the Billboard Music Awards, and, of course, Drake rocking head-to-toe Dada, we can now rock these fails with pride. Joseph Evans has followed up his first "YOLO Polo" shirt with two more offerings that depict Jay Z and Miguel at the moment their respective fails became Internet gold.

Each shirt costs $25, and has the texture and fit of an actual three-button polo shirt, meaning you can wear this to Thanksgiving dinner and see which one of your uncles is secretly cool. With three options available here, you can pick and choose from whichever fail made you laugh the hardest.

Annie's Lilla Crawford Replaces Sophia Grace in Disney's Into The Woods

 photo 28BD289EF-9D8D-437C-168C0B20933516F8jpgpagespeedceDHEdSLveoh_zpsb997f01a.jpg

Disney's "Into the Woods" kicked off production last week, featuring an award-winning production team and all-star ensemble cast - including a surprise addition: ANNIE's Lilla Crawford as 'Little Red.' It was previously reported that YouTube star Sophia Grace had landed the role.

The all-star ensemble cast includes: Meryl Streep portrays the Witch who wishes to reverse a curse so that her beauty may be restored; Emily Blunt is the Baker's Wife, a childless woman who longs to be a mother; James Corden plays the role of the Baker, a hard-working man who desperately wants to start a family; Anna Kendrick fills the shoes of Cinderella, who finds herself on a journey of self-discovery; Chris Pine portrays Cinderella's Prince, charming and impossibly handsome, who is on an endless quest to find his bride; Johnny Depp steps in as the Wolf, who sets his sights on Little Red Riding Hood; Lilla Crawford (Broadway's "Annie") makes her feature-film debut as Little Red Riding Hood, a smart and spunky girl who journeys into the woods, finding unexpected adventures along the way; Daniel Huttlestone ("LES MISERABLES") lands the role of Jack, an absentminded and adventurous boy who trades his treasured cow for five magic beans; Tracey Ullman joins the cast as Jack's Mother, a poor and exasperated mom who is overwhelmed, yet fiercely protective of her son; Christine Baranski takes on the infamous Stepmother who wishes for riches and grandeur; she'll do anything to marry off one of her daughters to a prince; Mackenzie Mauzy (Broadway's "Next to Normal") plays Rapunzel, a sheltered young woman who experiences the world beyond her tower for the first time; Billy Magnussen (Broadway's "Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike," "Boardwalk Empire") is the dashing and eager Prince who courts Rapunzel.

Oh thank god it's no longer Sophia Grace. Still don't like that it's a young girl because you know Disney won't go for the dark, sexual undertones in Hello Little Girl. Into the Woods should not be a Disney film :(

Miley Cyrus Covers the October Issue of Harper's Bazaar

cover 5b

Miley Goes Bang

With her devil-may-care attitude and rocking new sound, the pop star proves she still can't be tamed.

Miley Cyrus is wearing an oversize sweatshirt and nothing else, curled up in an enormous trailer parked outside Soundstage 24 at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles. She's just unpacked her "kit," which is what the 20-year-old pop star calls the gym bag full of over-the-top, blingy, fabulous accessories that she brings everywhere. There are Chanel logo suspenders and belts, Versace Medusa necklaces and brooches, spiked stilettos, hats, and miles of shiny gold chains. "I never know when I'm going to be like, 'Photo shoot!' And need some weird stuff to whip out." What if there's a sudden swarm of paparazzi? Or worse: "What if I get to a photo shoot and the stylist just sucks? So I bring my own shit." Cyrus, whose fourth album, Bangerz, is out this month, today is filming an MTV promotion—and, sure enough, when she's dressed in a tight white crop top and tiny black shorts, she dips into her kit to layer on gold necklaces and a low-slung vintage Chanel chain belt.

It's been a year since "I started trying to take over the world," she says, unknowingly paraphrasing a comment that Madonna made on American Bandstand nearly three decades ago, when she herself was an over-accessorized twentysomething. (In 1984, asked by Dick Clark what her future plans were, Madonna responded, "To rule the world.") It all began when the fresh-faced Disney star shaved the sides and back of her head, leaving a shock of platinum on top. "It changed everyone else's life more than it changed mine," Cyrus says with a laugh about her new 'do. But she's not kidding: Since wrapping the Hannah Montana series in 2011, the little girl who led a double life on a top-rated kids' TV show has reemerged in the public sphere as a provocative pop sensation.

Megan Fox Pregnant Again: "Doing Great"

Megan Fox has skipped the rumor mill almost completely, dispatching her husband, Brian Austin Green, to confirm that she is pregnant with the couple’s second child and “doing great.”

The 40-year-old actor said that he’s already hard at work making sure his baby mama is taken care of. “I do whatever she asks for and I say yes no matter what it may be!” he told Us Weekly on Friday.

“She’s doing great. She did great the first time around, but I wouldn’t wish the experience on anybody! I couldn’t do it! I couldn’t make a baby, it’s unbelievable!” Green revealed the news at Generosity Water’s 5th Annual Night of Generosity event in Beverly Hills. Dressed in a black pinstriped suit, Green was mysteriously sans-Megan Fox, hence the revelation. The couple, already parents to son Noah Shannon, don’t have a preference between boy or girl.

“I’m [just] hoping for a healthy baby,” Green revealed. Green and 27-year-old Fox have been married since 2010, though they dated on-and-off since 2004. They welcomed Noah Shannon, 11 months, back in September 2012.

Jake Gyllenhaal: Gay rumors are a huge compliment

Following in the footsteps of what seems to be every actor who has ever been on screen, Jake Gyllenhaal finally makes it onto "Inside the Actors Studio," where he reflects on his filmography with host James Lipton.

The hour-long chatfest premieres next week on Bravo, and during the course of the program Gyllenhaal talks about his life, and the films he's made, including the Oscar-winning gay classic "Brokeback Mountain."

Aside from the film itself he talks about his co-star and friend, Heath Ledger, and how his death "...felt like losing a family member, and it still does to this day."

After the critical and commercial success of "Brokeback Mountain" there came the inevitable questioning of Gyllenhaal's sexuality, since he plays a gay cowboy in the film. Gyllenhaal commented on the rumors during his talk with Lipton, and said, "It's a huge compliment," but what he prefers is "tits and a**."

Since his "Brokeback" days he has been romantically linked to a number of Hollywood starlets such as Reese Witherspoon and Taylor Swift.

His "Inside the Actor's Studio" appearance coincides with the release of his upcoming movie "Prisoners" which co-stars Hugh Jackman and is already receiving Oscar talk for multiple categories, including nominations for the cast.

Gyllenhaal's episode of "Inside the Actors Studio" premieres next Thursday, Sept. 19 on Bravo.

Stevie Nicks supported Glee cast after Cory Monteith's death

The actor tragically died earlier this year from a drug overdose, and the Fleetwood Mac singer reached out to his co-stars after growing close to them after an episode in 2011 inspired by her band's music.

She told the Sunday Telegraph newspaper's Stella magazine: ''I said, 'Forgive me if I'm stepping into your personal space. I lost my godson to an overdose last year- he died at a fraternity party - so I understand how shocking that is'.

''When what happened to Cory happened, I just was sick for days. Honestly, just sick. It's just so prevalent. It's everywhere. It's worse than when we were young.''

The star has battled with drug addiction in the past - from a 10-year cocaine habit to sedative clonazepam which was prescribe to help her overcome it - and she knows it cost her the chance to settle down and start a family.

She added: ''That was stolen. And that's not forgivable, ever ... [But now] I think I am stronger than a lot of people. And I knew then, as I know now, that I still have so much to do.''

Go Behind Lana Del Rey's 'Summertime' Surge

A surprise success story even in a summer filled with them ("Blurred Lines," "The Fox"), Lana Del Rey is celebrating the first crossover hit of her career and a recent re-entry into the top 20 of the Billboard 200 thanks to a dark-horse dance remix of a song released in its original form nearly 20 months ago.

"Summertime Sadness," driven by a remix by the French DJ/producer Cedric Gervais, moves up the Billboard Hot 100, rising 10-6. But the song wasn't actually intended for release in America, climbing its way to the U.S. top 10 from an unlikely start in Germany seven months ago

Initially commissioned in January for Universal Germany, Del Rey's American and U.K. labels-Interscope and Polydor, respectively-at first passed on the remix, which by then was already a year removed from Born to Die, her 2012 debut on which the original "Summertime Sadness" first appeared. But after the song shot to No. 1 on influential electronic music digital retailer Beatport in the spring, a few radio programmers took it upon themselves to put the remix into rotation.

All versions of "Summertime Sadness" have so far sold 1.1 million downloads, with 512,000 of those coming from the remix, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The song's sudden penetration at radio is something of a tipping point for Del Rey, whose career to date has in many ways been defined by a lack of support at top 40.

A product of the Internet age, Del Rey first landed her deal with Interscope in 2011 after her homemade video for the song "Video Games" went viral and crowned her as a new obsession for the blogosphere.

It was Del Rey's potent imagery that led to her other 2013 breakthrough and the second-best-selling song of her career-"Young and Beautiful," the lead single from Baz Luhrmann's soundtrack to "The Great Gatsby." The filmmaker, known for his own romantic visual style, approached Del Rey about contributing to the project last summer. She agreed-despite momentary misgivings about whether to relinquish what Millet says she declared "the best song I've ever written"-in part because the movie represented another potentially crucial platform for an artist who had been shut out of radio.

"Young and Beautiful" has now sold 780,000 downloads, and is Del Rey's only song besides the "Summertime Sadness" remix to breach the top 25 of the Hot 100, peaking at No. 22. Renewed interest in the singer has pushed total sales of Born to Die to 774,000 and of the subsequent Paradise EP, released in November, to 253,000.

RISE UP LANA, RISE THIS IS THE BEGINNING. It's really interesting how timing worked out for her and I wish she would take this into consideration and tour the US. Born To Die/Paradise has sold over a million units in the US, I think that says something.

Bill Cosby Tells Don Lemon Black Men Need To Raise Their Kids

CNN anchor Don Lemon has, of late, turned the focus of his frequent conversations on race to the idea of personal responsibility in the African American community. On Saturday night’s edition of CNN Newsroom, Lemon continued that controversial trend with comic legend Bill Cosby, who has also felt the heat of controversy on the subject. Cosby talked to Lemon about young black men raising their kids, over-medication of juvenile inmates, and may have even coined a new word: “No-groes.”

For the past few months, Don Lemon has courted controversy with several segments pegged to his general agreement with comments by Fox News personality Bill O’Reilly, aimed at solving problems within the black community. Legendary comic actor Bill Cosby has also stirred controversy by airing grievances against his community, but neither Lemon nor Cosby have backed away from their criticisms. In Saturday night’s interview, Lemon asked Cosby to reflect on the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington, and what kind of African American leaders are needed now...

Rob Marshall's Into The Woods Heads Into Production With One Major Casting Change

The hills are alive with the sound of fairy tale musicals, as Rob Marshall’s
adaptation of James Lapine’s Tony Award-winning stage production Into the Woods
went into production last week in different areas of England. This is one of the
more high-profile releases to come in 2014, as the Oscar-nominated Marshall is
once again lined up with a prestigious project populated by some of the biggest
names in the business, hopefully turning Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger
Tides into a very distant memory. Disney released a full listing of the all-star
cast via press release, and there are even more familiar faces than we expected.

Into the Woods is centered on a baker, played by Can a Song Save Your Life’s
James Corden, who desperately wants to start a family with his wife, played by
Emily Blunt (The Devil Wears Prada). Meryl Streep will play the Witch who casts
a spell on the couple in order to reverse a curse to restore her former beauty.
Simon Russell Beale (The Deep Blue Sea) will play the Baker’s father. This
central story is supplemented with a host of appearances by some of the Brothers
Grimm’s most famous characters.

Anna Kendrick (Up in the Air) will play Cinderella, on a journey of
self-discovery, and Star Trek’s Chris Pine will play her handsome and charming
Prince, while Richard Glover (Sightseers) will star as his steward. Christine
Baranski (Mamma Mia) will play the Stepmother who wishes for a prince to wed her
awful and spoiled daughters, played by Tammy Blanchard (Blue Jasmine) and Lucy
Punch (Bad Teacher). Cinderella’s late mother will be played by stage actress
Joanna Riding.

Annie’s Lilla Crawford makes her feature debut as the precocious Little Red
Riding Hood, which officially debunks the recent rumor that Ellen fixture-- and
complete acting newbie-- Sophia Grace would take the part (fans of the musical
are sighing with relief all over the place).
Johnny Depp will lend his
talents as what will probably be the most idiosyncratic Big Bad Wolf ever, on
the hunt for Red Riding Hood. Red’s infamous Granny will be played by Annette
Crosbie (Calendar Girls).

"The Walking Dead" & “Mother of George” actress: “I abhor how Africa is treated as one village”

Danai Gurira on "The Walking Dead," growing up in two countries, and the challenges "Mother of George" faced

Danai Gurira in "Mother of George"

Fans of one of cable’s biggest franchises are about to see a much more personal side of a key star.

Danai Gurira has appeared as sword-wielding zombie-fighter Michonne on the apocalyptic splatter-drama “The Walking Dead” since 2012. But this week sees the release of “Mother of George,” in which she plays a much quieter role, as a Nigerian immigrant in Brooklyn, N.Y., struggling with fertility and with the push and pull of old and new culture.

The African immigrant experience, even after the success of African-American-themed films in recent memory, is a tough sell — and one about which Gurira is particularly passionate. The Iowa-born actress spent much of her childhood in Zimbabwe and speaks fluent Shona; in an interview with Salon, she lamented the general view of Africa as a monolithic place and described just how long the process is of putting together even a low-budget film about the African experience. “But you hear George Clooney, even, talk about how it’s difficult to get stuff made that he believes in,” she said. “Maybe it’ll always be tricky.”

Fashion royalty Cara Delevingne receives her crown in the latest edition of Vogue Australia

In photos for a fashion piece titled ‘Yeah Baby She’s Got It’ the 21-year-old wears heavy make-up that accentuates her high cheekbones, her hair messily piled atop her head as she looks directly into the camera.

The Guardian apologizes to Benedict Cumberbatch for MISREPRESENTING his views on Chelsea Manning

On 15 September, the actor Benedict Cumberbatch wrote to the Guardian to say he felt his views had been misrepresented in an interview by Decca Aitkenhead published in Weekend magazine. His note has been posted under the article, and says: "Do I think [Chelsea] Manning should be pardoned? Yes. Do I think that's likely to happen? Sadly no. Re [Edward] Snowden I said in the interview that the use of threats to life as a reason to erode civil liberties through intrusive government surveillance can also be as dangerous to democracy as the terrorism such actions claim to be preventing. This wasn't printed for some reason."

We are happy to clarify any confusion about Cumberbatch's comments on Manning and civil liberties by publishing an unedited transcript of that section of the interview. Editor's note: the article's original standfirst, which said Cumberbatch "talked about... why Chelsea Manning deserved her sentence", misrepresented what Cumberbatch says in the interview: this was an editing error (headlines and standfirsts are not written by the interviewer) and has since been corrected online. We apologise for this mistake.

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth End Engagement

It's officially over: Reps for both Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth confirm to PEOPLE exclusively that the engagement is off between the two stars.

The news marks the end of a tumultuous year in which Cyrus, 20, and Hemsworth, 23, have experienced more break-ups than bonding moments.

The couple – who first met on the movie set of 2010's The Last Song – got engaged in May 2012. At the time, the singer told PEOPLE, "I'm so happy to be engaged and look forward to a life of happiness with Liam."

But earlier this year, the pair decided to postpone their wedding.

Cyrus was subsequently seen out without her 3.5-carat Neil Lane engagement ring but soon it was back on her hand and the couple were reunited in July in Canada, where Hemsworth was shooting his new movie Cut Bank, and on the red carpet for his movie Paranoia in August.

Since then the couple seem to have been living separate lives as the "Wrecking Ball" singer continues to plug her album Bangerz and Hemsworth prepares to promote Catching Fire.

Reps for both stars had no further comment.

Max George is jealous of One Direction for having better-looking fans than The Wanted.

Max George is slated in Jasmine Lennard Twitter rant

Ex-fling Jasmine Lennard revealed that Max, 25, thinks The Wanted fans are “ugly pigs”.

The ex-CCB housemate said: “He spent all afternoon cussing his fans saying they were all fat ugly trolls and whingeing about how 1D have hot fans and they don’t. He called them pigs.”

Simon Cowell’s ex laid into the singer, saying he was a flop in bed.

Misfits the Movie is 'written and ready to go'

Misfits The Movie, based on the hit E4 show, will soon be in production...

"A movie version of Misfits is already written and ready to go," Misfits writer and creator Howard Overman exclusively told What's On TV. "There are a lot of people interested in funding the project and we're just waiting for the final funds."

Misfits follows a group of teen delinquents doing community service who each acquired superhuman powers after a mysterious storm. Originally starring Robert Sheehan, Iwan Rheon, Lauren Socha, Antonia Thomas, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, there have been changes to the main cast over the four series. The fifth and final series is set to screen this autumn on E4.

"The Movie could be a mix of both the original characters and the new ones - I can't say more than that!" said Howard.

Before Misfits the Movie, however, Howard is working on BBC1's new 13-part fantasy series Atlantis, from the makers of Merlin, which starts later this month and features the adventures of Greek mythological characters such as Jason, Hercules, Pythagorus and Medusa.

"When I heard Merlin was ending, I knew the BBC would be looking for something to fill that slot," said Howard. "I'd been thinking about Greek myths and the idea grew from that."

OP: Would love for Robert Sheehan and Joe Gilgun to be in one movie but only if there isn't some stupid Nathan vs Rudy storyline to bait divided fans. They're both great characters so why bother, amirite?

Joe Wright to direct Ejiofor in "A Season in the Congo"; McQueen out/Dosonmu in for Fela Kuti biopic

With "12 Years A Slave" take the Toronto International Film Festival People's Choice Award over the weekend, it's likely just the first of many accolades to come for the film, it's director and cast, but don't think for a moment that star Chiwetel Ejiofor is going to relax and bask in the awards season glow. It looks like the actor has yet another project lined up, and one that will re-team him with a director with whom he's already experienced success with on the stage.

The rising U.K. theatre, The Young Vic, are expanding their reach into moviemaking, adapting their stage plays into film versions, and helping to kick off this initiative will be "A Season In The Congo," set to be directed by Joe Wright. Over the summer, Wright and Ejiofor presented the play, tracking the rise and fall of Congo's first democratically elected leader Patrice Lumumba, at the Young Vic to rave reviews and now they'll be seeing if it can work on the big screen. There's no word yet on who is penning the screenplay, but the production will shoot on location in Kinshasa, and not only that, November will be also see the release of a short spin-off film based on the play.

Aaron Paul's Last Word on 'Breaking Bad'
'It's about to get really messy, is all I can say'

In anticipation of the Breaking Bad series finale on Sunday, September 29th, Rolling Stone will publish an exclusive interview with a new cast member every day, Monday through Friday. Last week, Bryan Cranston dished on Walter White's morality. Tomorrow, Giancarlo Esposito will share his memories of Gus Fring.

In the first episode, Walt killed someone, and it's soon clear that he enjoys violence. Jesse doesn't kill anyone until later, but he seems much more wrecked by his one murder. Do you think of Jesse as being a better human being than Walt?
Oh, absolutely. I think Walt always had Heisenberg deep inside of him. It's like the expression, "Money doesn't change people, money just shows who people truly are inside." I think this has always been a part of Walt.

Jesse hung out with the wrong crowd, and he was trying to pretend that he was someone that he wasn't. That's why at the beginning – at least this is what I tell myself – he'd wear these crazy clothes – oversized pants, shirts, sweatshirts. He was kind of hiding in his own skin. And then throughout the years, he's realizing more who he truly is. His clothes started to shrink as he got his own footing. The clothes definitely started getting darker, because he was feeling in a very dark place.

Obviously Jesse is a murderer, so he's not that great of a guy. But he didn't want to be. He was kind of pushed into a corner. He pulled the trigger. Obviously that's no excuse, but I think the audience knows that's not really who he is.

It sounds like you're saying Jesse, in the beginning, was a wanksta.
[Laughs] Yeah, absolutely.

I thought this looked terrible but reviews are strong. Guess I'm going to see it.

Elton John: "Miley Cyrus is a meltdown waiting to happen"

Elton John has a warning for candles in the wind and this time it's directed at one twerking, young candle in particular. "I look at Miley Cyrus and I see a meltdown waiting to happen," he told The Australian. "And she's so young! But she's got two records in the top 20, so who is going to stop her?"

John has seen this kind of thing before -- he likened Cyrus' behavior to that of Michael Jackson.

Claiming he can "spot a car crash before it happens," John told the paper that he knew the icon was going to die. "He'd been doing drugs for so long, he'd been a mess for so long –- and I've known Michael since he was 12 or 13 –- that it was never going to happen."

In his moral outreach, John also had some words for Cyrus' latest defender, Lady Gaga, who he seems to think is also in a dangerous place.

“With Gaga -– who I love, she’s the godmother to our children –- I’d like to be able to talk to her right now, but I can’t get through to her," John said. "And there are times when you have to listen. When your persona begins to take over your music and becomes more important, you enter a dangerous place. Once you have people around you who don’t question you, you’re in a dangerous place."

Although he never knew Norma Jean, John has actually spent some time with Cyrus ... so maybe he'll be able to give her this advice himself.

George Harrison resurrected for GAP ad

Billy Joel’s Grammy-winning song “Just The Way You Are” was famously written for his first wife Elizabeth Weber—a woman he divorced five years later. Joel semi-retired the tune because of that, but it’s about to get a resurrection to sell some jeans.

For a brand like ours, built on the ‘generation gap,’ it seemed really rich,” Seth Farbman, Gap’s Chief Marketing Officer, told Ad Age. “We’ve been spending a lot of time really looking at what an iconic brand does and how it acts. … And, as we often do, we were looking backwards, in order to go forwards.”Tonight will mark the premiere of a new series of TV spots from the Gap that feature the children of legendary musicians—Alexa Ray Joel and Dhani Harrison, son of Beatle George—re-interpreting their dads’ classic tracks. Joel (whose mother is Christie Brinkley) will be tackling “Just the Way You Are,” while Harrison will be performing “For You Blue,” a track from the Beatles’ Let It Be written by George Harrison.

The spots are scheduled to air during a season premieres (which begin in earnest tonight and will continue over the next few weeks—check out EW’s Fall TV Preview, on stands now, for more) as well as during NFL games.

Liam Hemsworth Pursued January Jones Before Miley Cyrus Split

Did Liam Hemsworth take a wrecking ball to his romance with Miley Cyrus by going after another woman behind her back? It certainly couldn't have helped matters. As revealed in the Sept. 23 issue of Us Weekly, the Hunger Games star, 23, was pursuing Mad Men's January Jones as his relationship with his 20-year-old fiancee dissolved in recent months. (A rep for the "We Can't Stop" singer confirmed on Monday, Sept. 16, that the couple had called off their engagement.)

"January thinks Liam is so sexy," a pal told Us of Jones, 35, a single mom to son Xander, 2. And the feeling is clearly mutual: Earlier this summer, the clean-cut Paranoia star sent Jones a graphic, sexual text message. "I want to [expletive] you," it read, in part.
The blonde beauty, whose exes include Ashton Kutcher and Jason Sudeikis, was first linked with Cyrus' fiance in February, when the two were spotted leaving West Hollywood hotspot Chateau Marmont together. A source told Us they were "all over each other" at a house party that night, though Hemsworth later denied to his love of three years that anything had happened.

Secretly, however, he continued to reach out to Jones, one insider revealed to Us, noting that he complained to her about Cyrus' rebellious behavior. "January consoled him," the source shared. (A rep for the Mad Men star said, "This is absolutely untrue.")
Cyrus, for her part, denied that she and her former costar (in 2010's The Last Song) were having problems. She also made a point of wearing her 3.5-carat engagement ring, even as she and Hemsworth went weeks without being photographed together.

"Miley doesn't want to believe there could be anyone else," a pal told Us of the Hannah Montana alum, who has been busy promoting her new album, Bangerz.
Prior to their split, Cyrus and Hemsworth had been dating off and on for three years. They got engaged in May 2012.

George R. R. Martin praises Breaking Bad, thinks Game of Thrones can beat it for the Emmy

Amazing series.  Amazing episode last night.  Talk about a gut punch.
Walter White is a bigger monster than anyone in Westeros.
(I need to do something about that).

This is the final season of BREAKING BAD. I think GAME OF THRONES may have a shot at upsetting BB for this year's Emmy (only a shot, though, I think they are the clear favorite), which pits us against their previous season...  but there's no way in hell that anyone is going to defeat BREAKING BAD next year, when their last season is the one in contention.

Admittedly, trying to handicap the Emmys is a mug's game.  You never know.  But for what it's worth, I think this year is our best chance of actually winning one.  Given the splash the Red Wedding made, our profile is likely as high as it is ever going to be.  We had a great season. If the Academy is ever going to give their ultimate accolade to a fantasy show (something that is by no means certain), it's going to be this year, I think.

But we'll see.  BREAKING BAD, MAD MEN, DOWNTON ABBEY, HOMELAND, and HOUSE OF CARDS will have something to say about that as well.  All good shows, I think.  A couple are great shows.  HOMELAND is the defending champ, MAD MEN's won four, and HOUSE OF CARDS has that whole "gamechanger" thing going for it.  Should be an interesting race.  We'll all know on September 22.

Get Tyrion to fill this dude's chalice he is thirsty.

Fall 2013 Broadcast Network TV Schedule Night By Night Grids

The 2013-14 season is upon us. Fox premieres a few of their new shows this week, and the season officially begins next Monday, September 23. Here's a repost of our earlier look at how each night stacks up.

Even More New Shows Than Last Year

Last year there were 20 new shows debuting in the early fall -- that count excludes "Fox Sports Saturday" and also excludes "Malibu Country" which didn't debut until later in the fall. This year there are more than 25% more new shows for a total of 26 -- that count excludes "Almost Human" and "Enlisted" which won't debut until later in the fall.

What Catches Ratings Watchers Eyes?

There will be no shortage of things to capture a ratings watcher's attention . How will CBS's expanded Thursday comedy block and new Monday comedies fare? How well will The Voice age? What happens to Person Of Interest on a new night and later time with a smaller lead in? Revolution at 8pm? How bad is it going to be for BEAUTY AND THE BEAST on a new day with Hart Of Dixie as its lead-in?

But at least at the start of the season I can't imagine anything will capture more attention, even with ratings watchers, than the launch of Marvel's Agents of SHIELD. Maybe I just lack imagination. Those watching the NBA Finals on ABC in June can get back to me after they've seen the Agents of SHIELD promo for the 10,000th time.

Note: When we originally created these grids last Spring, Fox's Enlisted was scheduled to premiere on Friday's in late Fall. It is now scheduled to premiere on January 10.

After tackle and vomiting incident: One Direction's Louis Tomlinson pulls out of football match

One Direction pop star Louis Tomlinson has pulled out of Doncaster Rovers' reserve game against Scunthorpe on Tuesday night, after failing to recover from that tackle from Gabriel Agbonlahor.

The diminutive Aston Villa forward is not renowned for his tough tackling but managed to heavily take down the 20-year-old singer during a charity game in aid of the Stiliyan Petrov Cancer Foundation.

Tomlinson was forced off the field after vomiting in front of a packed Celtic Park and it seems he is still feeling the after effects of the challenge.

He told his Twitter followers: 'Unfortunately due to injury I cannot play at this week's Doncaster Rovers match. I will still be attending the match on the bench.

'I will play in another game in 2014, to be announced. Fans that have bought tickets for the match can apply for a full refund.

'Fans who do not wish to attend may also keep their ticket and exchange it for the rescheduled match, again for a reduced price of £3.

'I'm really sorry I can't play I'm gutted.'

Rwanda hunger mission lifted Christina

CHRISTINA Aguilera says that, although she went to Rwanda to help others, she ended up being helped.

The 32-year-old singer visited the African nation in June for a hunger relief effort. She said the experience helped her ground herself.

"It came at a time in my life when I really needed to be far removed from anything to do with work or being on camera," the Grammy winner said.

"It came at a time in my life when I needed to sort of experience what's going on beyond entertainment."

Aguilera has been a spokesperson for Yum! Brands' World Hunger Relief effort since 2009, and has also travelled to Haiti and Guatemala.

She said being a mother – her son Max is five – made her more empathetic with those suffering from hunger around the world.

"It's so sad to think there's nothing that sets any of us apart," she said.

"And when you go into the field, you really see that and feel that we're all one and the same, it's just we're born under different circumstances, and it's sad and I don't understand why, but I feel what I feel and I did what I can."

On her Rwanda trip, she served food to children and visited refugee camps, which she called "one of the most difficult moments".

"They had to escape everything and everybody they knew and loved, and it's just a lot to really open yourself up and feel all that," she said, on the brink of tears.

"And you just want to help out in whatever way that you can, and obviously I get emotional about it when talking about it, but I think it's important to feel those things."

Yum!, the parent company of KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell, said its World Hunger Relief effort has raised nearly $150m (€112m) for the UN World Food Programme and other organisations since its launch in 2007.

Aaron Ashmore joins the cast of 'Big News From Grand Rock'

"Big News From Grand Rock" tells the story of Leonard Crane, the editor of The Grand Rock Weekly Ledger, a small town newspaper that’s on the brink of bankruptcy. Desperate to save his paper, Leonard takes a drastic step: he starts making up stories, passing off the plots of old movies as local news. But things go from bad to worse when one of his stories attracts the attention of a big city reporter.

The film, written and directed by Daniel Perlmutter, is set to star Ennis Esmer who is currently shooting his fourth season as Oz Bey in the hit original series “The Listener”. Other TV and film credits include “The LA Complex”, “Sex After Kids”, “Dirty Singles” and “YPF”, which earned him a Canadian Comedy Award nomination. Ennis also recently returned to the stage in the lead role of Ralph in “Claire From The Bus”, a new play written by Kjartan Hewitt and performed in Toronto. He has trained at Toronto's Second City and York University.

The director, producers and the rest of the production team are thrilled to announce that Aaron Ashmore - of "Veronica Mars", "Smallville" and "Warehouse 13" fame - will be joining the cast of BIG NEWS FROM GRAND ROCK.

Britney Spears will be raking in HUGE STACKS in Vegas this winter -- a ridiculous $310,000 per show ... nearly $15 million per year -- but she still doesn't hold a candle to Celine Dion.

TMZ is privy to the financial details of Britney's deal. The 2-year contract calls for 48 shows a year at Planet Hollywood. According to the contract, Britney will earn $310,000 per show.

By contrast, Celine does 70 shows a year. Sources say she pulls in $476,000 a show ... so she's way ahead of Britney in the money department, but Brit gets more time off.

Britney's cut of the gate is huge -- projected sales per show are $508,514, meaning Brit will be snagging more than 60%.

As we reported, producers are shooting for a "cool, hip club-like show" ... unlike the run-of-the-mill Vegas shows that preceded it (Celine's included). It starts in December.

If that's not convincing, check out these cool 3D mock-ups of the stage.

Robert Pattinson Talks Fame: "I didn’t expect any of this and I didn’t ask for it"

Robert Pattinson’s trying to hug me. But I’m not playing; I’m not a hugger, so I offer my hand instead, which sets him off into fits of laughter. “OK, this is how we’re doing this?” he smiles, amused and a little taken aback. In an effort to recover from my apparent faux pas, and perhaps propelled by the Champagne consumed in the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel while waiting to be summoned by the Dior representatives, I finally reciprocate his gesture, albeit awkwardly.

Pleasantries exchanged, we move to the lounge area of his hotel suite where a bottle of Dior Homme, of which Pattinson is the new face, rests strategically on the coffee table. I promptly remind him of the many conversations we’ve had during which he insisted that fragrances would not be a part of his future agenda. He frowns. “Yes, you’re right, but I just got so smelly that I had to start wearing it.

'Breaking Bad's' Gomez on 'Ozymandias'
Steven Michael Quezada discusses crafting the DEA agent, his close working relationship with Dean Norris, and why he thinks his character is the only one never to "break bad."

Breaking Bad's Steven Michael Quezada woke up to a flood of texts and e-mails this morning as [Spoiler (click to open)]his friends and family mourned the death of DEA agent Steve Gomez, whom Quezada has played since 2008's pilot episode.

But Quezada isn't sad about Gomie's fate, noting his death was far more dignified than many characters' passings in Breaking Bad.

"I went out with a gun in my hand. I didn't get shot in the back. I didn't get melted in acid. I didn't get my throat slit. At least I was standing on my own two feet," Quezada tells The Hollywood Reporter.

He says he and costar Dean Norris (Hank), were happy with their final scene together and says they both likened it to a classic "Western showdown."

The actor, 50, worked as a stand-up comic for 25 years before being cast in Breaking Bad ("really trying to feed my family," he says) and managed to get a few laughs while rehearsing his final scene.

At the point just before the shootout when Uncle Jack (Michael Bowen) demands to see some badges to prove Hank and Gomie are DEA agents, Quezada broke character and yelled, "Because Dean Norris plays a cop on every damn TV show!"

The set broke into laughter, and Cranston snapped a photo of Quezada, Norris and director Michelle McLaren cracking smiles despite the incredibly tense scene. He's been sitting on the photo for months, waiting for the time he could share it. (He posted the photo on his Facebook page Monday.)

"I got to go out on a really funny comment in a really bad situation," Quezada says.

Find THR's full conversation with Quezada below, where he talks about crafting the Hank-Gomez relationship and why he considers Gomie to be the only character in Breaking Bad never to break bad. ("Even Walt Jr. tried to buy liquor.")

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire Is Predicted To Make $1 Billion At The Box Office

Alan Gould, of investment group Evercore, predicts that The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is going to pull in $1 billion (well, $950 million to be exact) at the worldwide box office. To break it down, he thinks that the film will do $375 million domestically (which is a pretty conservative estimate considering that the first film did more than that) and $575 million overseas.

To put things into perspective, The Hunger Games took in $691 million worldwide. So for Catching Fire to make anywhere close to $1 billion, well, that would be quite impressive. Then again, being a sequel, it’s expected that the film will pull in more cash. But still, leaping from $691 to $950 million would be a huge achievement for Lionsgate and would surprise a lot of people.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will touch down in theatres on November 22nd, 2013 and stars Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Donald Sutherland and Philip Seymour Hoffman. Do you think that the film will pass the $1 billion mark? Let us know in the comments below.

The Album Of The Year Is Available For Listening!

In the span of roughly a year, the Scottish electro-pop group Chvrches has secured all the trappings of Next Big Thing-dom — a flurry of MP3s on all the requisite blogs, a cloud of acclaim floating in from Europe, a string of highly regarded performances at SXSW, and so on — without a full-length album to go on. It's a familiar trajectory, but Chvrches feels more warmly accessible and chart-ready than most bands to have taken that ride. If the trio were to score a string of giant pop hits upon the release of The Bones of What You Believe, it would hardly qualify as a surprise.

Though it can be ominous, even aggressive, Chvrches' music maintains a disarming fizziness. Its sound and approach aren't arch or unapproachable; this is, after all, a band that frequently covers Prince onstage, including a version of "I Would Die For U" recast as "I Would Die For V." It's toured with Depeche Mode, which says a lot about both its aesthetic — though Chvrches opts for sprightly melancholy over the dour seriousness of its heroes — and its ability to draw on synth-driven '80s pop sounds for inspiration. Singer Lauren Mayberry, a former music journalist who's toiled in local bands around Glasgow, has an idiosyncratically lovely voice to match her understanding of what builds a frontwoman's mystique; she knows how and when to project charm, vulnerability, guts and grit.

Out Sept. 24, The Bones of What You Believe does a fine job gathering up all of Chvrches' charms into one diverse but cohesive collection of brightly rendered buzzy wonders. Those who've followed the band's rise closely will recognize roughly a third of these songs: "The Mother We Share," "Lies," "Recover," and "Gun" have already surfaced as singles in the run up to this, a big moment in its short but eventful history. But those fully vetted highlights don't overwhelm the eight lesser-known tracks here — even those in which Mayberry cedes the spotlight to capable bandmates Iain Cook (a veteran of Aerogramme) and Martin Doherty (a touring member of The Twilight Sad). Instead, all 12 songs help paint a picture of Chvrches as a band ready for the world; one that bridges styles and eras on the strength of its own charisma.

2015 continues to be a big year for genre fans. Not only will it bring a new Star Wars movie, a second Avengers film and the much-discussed debut of Ben Affleck as Batman in the still-unnamed sequel to Man of Steel, but this morning AMC announced that it’ll also be the year when The Walking Dead spins off a brand-new television series set in the same post-apocalyptic world.

The cable channel revealed today that it is in “the initial stages of developing a companion series” to its hyper-successful adaptation of the long-running Image Comics series co-created and written by Robert Kirkman about a group of human survivors in a world filled with the undead. Kirkman is part of the group developing the spinoff, acting as executive producer on the project alongside Walking Dead execs Gail Anne Hurd and David Alpert.

Breaking Bad cast on Conan night after Emmys

Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, Anna Gunn, Dean Norris, Betsy Brandt, R.J. Mitte, and Bob Odenkirk, and showrunner Vince Gilligan will appear on Conan together on Sept. 23, the day after the Emmys.

It will be the first time the group has appeared together on a talk show, and the cast should have plenty to gab about. Their appearance will come just days before their series wraps up Sept. 29. It also takes place the night after the Emmys, which could make it a celebratory occasion.

The exciting part about this is that, despite the dark as hell subject matter, the cast is made up of incredibly fun, funny people. Cranston is a fake-penis-loving goof, Odenkirk is a sketch comedy legend, Aaron Paul enjoys life more than anyone else in the world, Betsy Brandt is always a great talk show guest, and Vince Gilligan, somehow, is a perfectly nice, well-adjusted Southern gentleman. Getting them all together on a set with Conan is a recipe for good times.
