It's been nearly a month since Lindsay Lohan completed 90 days in rehab, and she's looking better than ever, now that she's sober and moved back to New York City.
On Tuesday, the 27-year-old actress was spotted out in SoHo wearing some seriously short denim shorts, paired with a white top and brown suede ankle boots.

Paramore star Hayley Williams has sparked a new pop feud by taking aim at Miley Cyrus for her controversial performance at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday (25Aug13).
The former child star split fans and peers with her provocative routine, during which she thrust her backside into stage partner Robin Thicke's crotch, while sticking her tongue out at the audience. Williams insists she wasn't bothered by Miley's naughty act, but she was offended by the fact the 20 year old appeared to adopt moves that are popular in African-American culture as her own.
The Paramore singer rages, "It seems like more people are focusing on the trashiness or the dancing, the clothes. But I, actually, am uncomfortable with the racial aspect of it. I feel like she’s sort of taking a culture that isn’t really hers and sort of using it as an accessory, and that actually bothers me more...

Rebecca Hall thinks Hollywood gets it wrong when it comes to women.
Strong doesn't equal saintly.
"There’s been a sort of trend for awhile of people writing strong women as women who are morally right, which is so uninteresting, " Hall told TheWrap. "It's no fun and frankly it's a massive disservice to womankind. It boxes us in to making these sort of slightly dull, virtuous choices."
The English actress' search for a character who was prickly and flawed led her to the legal thriller "Closed Circuit," which opens Wednesday. In it, Hall plays a brilliant lawyer whose extramarital affair with a colleague (Eric Bana) ruins his marriage and threatens to undermine their defense of an accused terrorist.
Hall said she has noticed a trend where there are more parts for females that involve behaving badly.
"We need to be villains too," Hall said. "We need to be messy and sloppy and three-dimensional and complicated and that’s writing a strong woman. I liked that this woman was making mistakes and was compromised."
"Closed Circuit" may only be a teaser for what's to come when Hall makes her Broadway debut later this year in "Machinal." The play is inspired by a true murder case that inspired "Double Indemnity" and "The Postman Always Rings Twice" and centers on a woman who has an affair with a younger man and kills her husband.
The whole caper sounds, well ... messy and sloppy.
The play was written by journalist Sophie Treadwell and was first produced in 1928. However, it is not well known; with the exception of a Fiona Shaw-led revival in 1993 at London's Royal National Theatre, it is rarely performed.
"It’s a fascinating play that’s essentially been buried for ages," Hall said. "I think people study it in colleges and people are aware of it, but nobody really does it. It's an example of a writer being slightly written out of history."

The Playlist has learned that Matt Damon has joined Christopher Nolan’s “Interstellar” in a small, undisclosed role. The character, like all of the roles in the film, is being kept under wraps, but sources close to the actor tell us he’ll only be shooting on the project for two weeks in Iceland (for comparison sake, the entire shoot is scheduled for four months). It's another quick appearance for Damon in a forthcoming film, as he also has a small cameo in Terry Gilliam’s “The Zero Theorem,” which debuts at the Venice Film Festival very soon (look for our review in the upcoming days).
Meanwhile, Damon looks to have found what will be his directorial debut: “A Murder Foretold," penned by Academy Award-winning “Argo” screenwriter Chris Terrio. The film is based off a 2008 New Yorker article by David Grann, that tells the true story of a man who is gunned down in the escalating violence in Guatemala, and leaves behind a videotape after his death implicating the president, his wife, and other close aides in his killing. Of course, this rocked the nation, with a special prosecutor who digs deep to find the shocking truth behind the man's murder. The project is currently set up at Paramount and Indian Paintbrush under Steve Zaillan’s Film Rites production banner. (Update: Following our report, Deadline has revealed the title of the movie to be "The Foreigner.")
As you might remember, Damon was supposed to direct “Promised Land” in the beginning of 2012, but reshoots on “Elysium” overlapped into the time he had planned to do pre-production work on the movie. Knowing his schedule would be too tight, Damon made the early decision to bow out and found a replacement in friend and filmmaker Gus Van Sant. It was Damon's third time working with him, and having worked with helmers like Martin Scorsese, Robert De Niro, Terry Gilliam, Steven Soderbergh, Clint Eastwood and many other auteurs, he's been itching to join his friend Ben Affleck in trying his hand at directing. (Damon is also attached to "Father Daughter Time" at Warner Bros. though it looks like 'Foretold' is going first.)
So some exciting plans on the horizon for Damon, but before we go, here's one last bit of "Interstellar" trivia: celebrated Indian actor Irrfan Khan ("Life Of Pi," "The Amazing Spider-Man") turned down a role in Nolan's film. "I was in talks with them for an important role. It had a great compact cast, but I can't divulge much about that. They expected a huge commitment from my end. I had to stay in the U.S. for four months at a stretch. I tried to work out my schedule and suggested if I could shuttle between India and the U.S. as it wouldn't have been possible for me to be there for that long," he told The Times Of India. "I wanted to be here for 'The Lunchbox' and 'D-Day.' They couldn't allow that. I don't have a tendency to regret what I do, but knowing it's a Christopher Nolan film, I can say that this has been one of the most difficult decisions I've made."
"Interstellar" opens on November 7, 2014.

Since JFK vowed to put a man on the moon in 1961, space has represented untold possibility, hope and optimism. But once we actually got there, we realized what a terrifying place it can be. An endless void, freezing and/or burning, a place without air or life. But most terrifyingly of all, if you die in space, you die alone: thousands of miles above and away from your loved ones. And more than anything, aren’t we most afraid of dying alone? Alfonso Cuaron seems to think so, as that’s the fear that drives his new film, the extraordinary “Gravity.”

Metro Detroit may be transformed into Metropolis for the next DC Entertainment superhero movie, the Michigan Film Office announced Thursday.
Production of “Batman vs. Superman” is expected to take place in Toronto and in Metro Detroit and other parts of Michigan in early 2014. Director Zack Snyder, according to imdb.com, said the film already is in pre-production. It’s scheduled for release July 17, 2015.
“Batman vs. Superman” stars Henry Cavill, who played Superman in the original “Man of Steel,” which was released earlier this year. Ben Affleck, who played Daredevil in the the 2003 film that critics and fans jeered, was recently cast as Batman. The actor/director also starred as George Reeves, TV’s Superman, in the 2006 film “Hollywoodland.” Their “Batman vs. Superman 2015” co-stars include Laurence Fishburne, Amy Adams and Diane Lane.
“Detroit is a great example of a quintessential American city, and I know it will make the perfect backdrop for our movie,” director Zack Snyder said in a statement. “Detroit and the entire state of Michigan have been fantastic collaborators, and we are looking forward to working together on this film.”
Warner Bros. Pictures has been approved for $35 million in incentive money for the film, which is projected to generate $131 million worth of in-state expenditures. More than 400 Michigan workers are expected to be hired for the production.
According to a statement, the Michigan Film Office also estimates the production will use about 500 Michigan-based vendors and generate $8.6 million in expenditures in the state of Michigan.
Bong Joon-Ho shot down online reports earlier this month that Harvey Weinstein forced the "Snowpiercer" director to heavily edit his record breaking new film before his company would distribute it internationally, at a press event in France on Tuesday. The director is currently in the process of editing "Snowpiercer" an action-thriller about a group of people advancing to the front of a train, which sold 4 million tickets faster than any South Korean film in history, for US release.
"I came here after [working on] editing for the American version," Bong said, according to eNEWS. "I've never produced a new version for overseas premieres, and this is the first time I′m making a new version."
The director denied reports that after signing a distribution deal with Weinstein Company, he had been forced to heavily edit his film. "Weinstein is actually being pretty soft toward editing, probably because it's noticed how critics have praised the film and know how angry movie fans get over new edits," Bong said. "They even asked me which parts I want to include in the film," he said.

Coming out of the closet is a long, confusing, and often repetitive process that isn’t always as simple as you plan it to be. No one knows this better than Alden Peters, a film student at at New York University’s Tisch School. He captured a year of his life on film as he came out to friends and family, in what turned out to be his first full-length documentary "Coming Out".
It was the suicide of Tyler Clementi, in the fall of 2010, that pushed Alden to finally come out. The filmmaker told Mashable: "As I was going through [coming out], one of the things I was really looking at was YouTube videos of people coming out. I wanted to see more than that—more than just hearing somebody tell a story. I wanted to know what it was like."
Peters not only recorded his coming out to various loved ones, but he revisited them a year later for follow up interviews. The film touches upon how the internet and cyberbullying affect people as they come out, or are forced out, of the closet. Peters had friends read homophobic conversations taken from various social networks. He wanted to show the difference between what’s normally said in person, and what is said from the safety of the internet. Peters spoke with BuzzFeed about his extensive project.

It's not every day that Justin Timberlake comes to Hoboken, N.J., but when he does, you better believe people take notice!
On Wednesday, Aug 28, J.T. invited fans to Maxwell's, a legendary club in the NYC suburb that closed its doors July 31, for a one song performance. "Let's Take Back the Night," he tweeted. "150 get in. See you there!" And New Jersey sure gave the Southern superstar a warm welcome!

But Katie Ritchey, one of the lucky 150, told E! News getting to experience such an intimate performance was "SO worth standing for 4 hours in line in the drizzle!"
As it turns out, Justin's one-song performance of "Take Back the Night" was actually part of a Target commercial. I really like the way they scheduled most of the series. It's way better than having a show two weeks on and then off, and never knowing when it's actually airing.
When the Backstreet Boys dropped their latest album's title track, "In a World Like This," they did something special with the video: They ended it with a victorious moment in LGBT history, as an older lesbian couple finally celebrated their right to marry.
We caught up with self-proclaimed "fag hag" AJ McLean, a founding member of one of the biggest-selling boy bands in history, to chat about how his queer friends (and "Same Love" rapper Macklemore) inspired that video, doing Marilyn Monroe in the nude for an upcoming book and the time the band performed with men they thought were women.
The video for the album's first single, "In a World Like This," celebrates marriage equality. Why was it important to take that stance with that music video?
It stemmed from me personally. I have a lot of gay friends and two of my best friends have been together for almost 10 years. And living in California, it's been so friggin' frustrating to me that they could not get it right; they couldn't pass the bill. Then, literally, right after we dropped the video, they actually passed the bill (allowing LGBT people to get married) in California, and I was just ecstatic. I just love the fact that people love each other, no matter if they're the same sex or not. I think everybody's equal, period.
I had just seen the Macklemore video for "Same Love" and that really inspired me. Knowing what the subject was about for "In a World Like This" - about love conquering all - we had talked with the director about basically having different moments in history that really were very impactful. We had done the first two, and then we were like, "What's the last one gonna be?" I was like, "Why don't we do something about same-sex marriage? We have a huge gay following and it's a huge deal." The guys were all on board and we made it happen. I was so happy about it.
When were the Backstreet Boys first aware they had a gay following?
We did a show years ago in Ybor City in Tampa and Divine Brown - the girl who messed around with Hugh Grant back in the day (laughs) - was hosting a drag show. We actually had no idea. We were all really young. Kevin (Richardson) was obviously older, so he had been around all his gays at Disney (when he worked there before Backstreet Boys) and he had been around drag queens before Nick (Carter) and me. We were in our trailer and we were watching these guys changing. We thought these were chicks - and all of a sudden they were taking off their clothes and I'm like, "Wait, that girl's got, like, pecs. And oh, that's a penis." I was like, "What the hell is going on?"
We did three or four songs, the crowd went nuts and I was standing next to this 6-foot-6 drag queen who gave me a hug and a kiss. I was beside myself, and that was when we first knew that we had a big gay following. I was just like, "Wow, this is kind of friggin' crazy." Thinking back on it, I've been in this business since I was 3 and I grew up in musical theater, so I was raised and surrounded by gay men and gay women. I was hardly around anyone straight.( Collapse )

According to Kevin Spacey, in the future there will be no differentiation between films and television. In a speech at the Guardian Edinburgh International Television Festival, the Oscar-winning actor told the audience of television executives that it’s all just content to him and to consumers as well. Words like “film” and “television” are signifiers that are useful only to “agents, and managers, and lawyers who use these terms to conduct business deals,” he said. The people, he added, just want stories, and it’s their responsibility to give it to them.
Spacey thinks the consumer should be able to watch what they want, when they want to, and the success of his original Netflix series House of Cards proves it. He spoke out against the network model of requiring a pilot before ordering a series. Spacey went to Netflix, he says, because he and director David Fincher didn’t want to audition. “We wanted to start to tell a story that would take a long time to tell. We were creating a sophisticated, multi-layered story with complex characters who would reveal themselves over time, and relationships that would need space to play out,” he said.
Below is an edited version of Spacey’s speech. Check it out:
Do we need to revamp how we consume and produce television shows? Will labels like “film” and “television” fall by the wayside as the pre-established mediums shift and disperse? Is Netflix the future?

Universal’s 2012 ‘Les Miserables‘ adaptation may have been the talk of the town, but with no sequel potential, why not go the modern TV series route? A surprising new report suggests that ‘Veronica Mars‘ creator Rob Thomas and actor-writer Graham Norris have partnered with FOX to develop a modern adaptation of the iconic musical and Victor Hugo novel, but is it less insane than that sounds?
According to Deadline, the untitled project has a script commitment with penalty at FOX, and will follow a brilliant lawyer running a legal exoneration program who attempts to evade consequences of his own wrongful conviction years earlier. The lawyer must navigate high society, continue his mission of saving innocents, and deal with a tumultuous family and romantic life while staying a step ahead of a ruthless U.S. Attorney who continually pursues him.
Thomas will executive produce the modern ‘Les Miserables’ with fellow ‘Veronica Mars’ and ‘Party Down’ collaborators Danielle Stokdyk and Dan Etheridge, while Norris will serve as supervising producer. Currently, Thomas maintains duties on the long-awaited ‘Veronica Mars’ movie.
Granted this won’t be the first time TV pens a modern adaptation of a classic tale but what say you? Could ‘Les Miserables’ work as a modern concept for a drama series?

Netflix's hit series, House of Cards, has been a hot topic of conversation due to its nine Emmy nominations from the Internet platform.
While in attendance at the Guardian Edinburgh International Television Festival delivering the James McTaggart Memorial Lecture, Kevin Spacey (Francis Underwood) spoke about the model that Netflix has used, which has parlayed the company into success.
"Clearly, the success of the Netflix model, releasing the entire season of House of Cards at once, proved one thing: the audience wants the control. They want the freedom. If they want to binge, as they've been doing on House of Cards and lots of other shows, then we should let them binge," he said.
The veteran actor continued on about the typical viewer, and how they deserve the right to pick and choose how many episodes and at what time they'd like to watch them, which he says is the way of the future.
"And through this new form of distribution, we have demonstrated that we have learned the lesson that the music industry didn't learn: give people what they want, when they want it, in the form they want it in, at a reasonable price, and they'll more likely pay for it rather than steal it," Spacey added.
No current air date for House of Cards has yet to be announced. However, it was recently projected to start season 2 at some point in early 2014. Be sure to keep checking back for more of the latest information on the popular series.
M.I.A. previewed a new song from her upcoming Matangi album on Twitter today (August 29). The rapper-singer tweeted a link to her official website, revealing that she'll be releasing a track called "Come Walk With Me" on Tuesday, September 3. Fans who press the play button on the site will be directed to a SoundCloud page that features a 90-second snippet of the upcoming release.
The teaser finds the Maya mastermind in one of her lighter moods. First, she seems to lament the prevalence of social media ("There's a thousand ways to meet you now / There's a thousand ways to track you down"), but then M.I.A. segues to a simple plea to live in the moment, singing over a handclap-heavy beat, "Come walk with me / You ain't got to shake it, just be with me."
She recently swore there's "Only 1 U" on another deceptively wistful track, repping for the value of human life over dollar signs, and here she insists, "It takes two." An earlier, jumpier version of "Come Walk With Me" surfaced last year, but this new take hints at a much slower and gentler song, one that's less kinetic and better suited for M.I.A.'s cooing.
Stream the new teaser over at SoundCloud and watch the older video below. Matangi is currently set for a November 5 release date via Interscope.

Some say a little controversy never hurt anybody and in the case of Robin Thicke and his song “Blurred Lines” that is certainly true.
Despite accusations that his latest single promotes rape, or at least is heavily drenched in rape culture, and the legal drama that’s panning out with Marvin Gaye’s family, someone is still rocking with “Blurred Lines.” A lot of people are actually. According to Uproxx.com, the song is this close to definitively becoming the most popular song of all time.

He’s been throwing himself into his work outs since returning from a relaxing summer in Europe and it looks like Leonardo DiCaprio has found an inspirational figure to look up to.
The actor was spotted in New York wearing a Popeye t-shirt, with the popular cartoon character showing off his bulging muscles.
38-year-old Leo was looking noticeably fitter too as he left a restaurant in the city with his actor pal Lukas Haas.

Fitness will be an important facet of gameplay in The Sims 4, which allows its virtual inhabitants, known as Sims, to change their body shape through living experiences. This element is known as fitness modeling and has an actual impact on gameplay well beyond aesthetics.
“Sims can naturally change over time in the game. If they overeat they’ll become overweight. If they never exercise, they might become overweight. But if you eat healthily or eat properly or you exercise, your sims will lose weight,” said Maxis’s Grant Rodiek in an interview with PCGamesN.

Have you seen the new set of Robert Pattinson Dior ads? They make it rather clear: The actor is smoking!
But try telling that to Robert Pattinson's harshest critic: Robert Pattinson!
In the new issue of InStyle UK, The Twilight Saga stud comes across like ex-girlfriend Kristen Stewart, dour... reflective... somber... questioning the same looks that leave young women screaming in the streets upon his appearance.
"Maybe I have body dysmorphia," he wonders. "I’m quite lanky. You can’t exactly see me in a sports film or something, can you? I’m never going to play ‘one of the guys."

Hayden Panettiere, is that you?!
Panettiere showed off a dramatic new look with blunt bangs and pin-straight blonde hair in New York City Wednesday when she headed to the "Late Show with David Letterman." A curve-hugging Alexander McQueen floral dress and a swipe of red lipstick completed her edgy new look.

Mads Mikkelsen on eating fake flesh and out-dressing Benedict Cumberbatch
Dwarfing the vices of Walter White and Dexter Morgan, Mads Mikkelsen’s Dr Lecter has turned cannibalism into prime-time entertainment in Season 1 of Hannibal. But while the spruce tailoring, bookishly charming wit and sheer charisma may have us growing fond of the character, Mads suggests that Lecter might be more antichrist than antihero…

The wait for season five is almost over, TVD-aholics and ETonline has your exclusive first look at the October 3 premiere!
Titled I Know What You Did Last Summer, the episode takes place several months after the shocking finale left Elena in Damon's arms, Stefan six feet under water and Bonnie on the wrong side of the veil.
The time jump also means that the season premiere features Elena and Caroline moving into their new dorm (roomies!) at Whitmore College!

In 2012, after Oscar-winning actress Octavia Spencer won her big award for the movie "The Help," she was courted by weight-loss company Sensa. In five months, she lost 20 pounds.
The weight loss company enjoyed the use of her famous face and her public endorsement. Spencer, as mentioned, lost weight and admitted to feeling better. What could possibly go wrong?
As it turns out, quite a lot. Yesterday, the actress filed a lawsuit at L.A. Superior Court alleging "breach-of-contract and fraud," The Hollywood Reporter exclusively reports.
Sensa, for those unfamiliar with the product, is "a doctor formulated weight loss system you sprinkle on your food to help you eat less and feel full faster" -- according to the company's website.

The Hollywood couple took time out of their jam-packed schedules for a little adventure in Beijing. Before they climbed the Great Wall of China, the adorable twosome shared some PDA with one final hug in the misty streets.
The couple's trip comes at a busy time for both of the actors. While Kutcher continues to promote Jobs, Kunis is busy shooting Jupiter Ascending with Channing Tatum. But despite work schedules, this couple always seems to find a way to reconnect all over the world.
Earlier this summer, the two enjoyed a romantic trip to St. Tropez. They also shared some quality time together in London with Princess Beatrice and her boyfriend Dave Clark.
Looks like long distance is not a problem for this couple. Kudos to them!

On August 25th, G-Dragon finally saw the fruition of his hard and collaborative work with Missy Elliott. In a performance set to air via MNET's special, "M! Countdown: What's Up LA?", the YG Entertainment star revealed his next track, "Niliria" or "New Era" which will feature the famous and respected female rapper. He's been waiting for this as he had been tweeting about it prior to the performance.
The audience of about 20,000+ in the Los Angeles Sports Arena then just also became witnesses to an historic event, with the big names of K-pop and American music joining forces in one track on one stage. As the pair's performance was the closing act of the event, it definitely allowed a feverish cap to the already powerful line-up of performances that night.
Missy Elliott set the stage and dropped the hint for the collaboration stage, as she performed 'Get Ur Freak On' shortly after SM Entertainment EXO's 3-song stage. With one last K-pop artist still to perform that night, G-Dragon, fans could only expect that they were about to see the much anticipated work from the two big stars. As G-Dragon brought the arena to high excitement with his own 3-song set of "One of A Kind", "MichiGo" and "Crayon", the atmosphere was properly preheated as what the collab stage would deserve.

I’m by the phone waiting for Alexander Skarsgård to call, feeling like some lovelorn Bridget Jones. At least I’m not alone. I Tweet: ‘What question would you most like to ask True Blood’s Alexander Skarsgård?’ Male or female, the answer is identical and instant: ‘Will he marry me?’
Voted Sweden’s sexiest man five times running, the 6ft 4in 36-year-old actor is in hot demand from every corner of the globe.
No wonder, when my phone finally rings, he’s out of breath. ‘Are you working out?’ I ask, imagining him pumping iron in an LA gym. ‘Ha, ha, quite the opposite!’ he guffaws heartily. ‘I’m back in Sweden, walking home after an intense German meal with German Beer and about three kilos of German pork. I am kind of struggling.’

She was first identified as Kim Jong-un’s old flame 13 months ago, in July 2012. The poised, coiffed and elegantly dressed companion of the North Korean dictator of Kim Jong-un was filmed sitting next to him at a concert in Pyongyang, then ascending the stage with him to applaud the performers. One month later, however, she vanished from the scene as abruptly as she had arrived. And today came the shocking news that Hyon Song-wol, one of the reclusive state’s most popular singers, had been executed by machine gun.
Eleven other members of her pop group were reportedly executed with her earlier this month, accused of filming themselves having sex with each other then selling the videos.
Other musicians linked to the 12 who allegedly died were forced to watch the grisly killings, then sent to labour camps, victims of the reclusive regime’s policy of collective punishment. South Korean Pyongyang watchers had named Ms Hyon as Kim’s girlfriend when he was a teenager. His father, Kim Jong-il, was said to have disapproved of the relationship and forced his son to break it off. The fresh encounter with his sweetheart was interpreted as evidence that the youngest Kim was shaking off his father’s influence and taking his own decisions.
Whether the woman photographed with the young leader really was the singing star has never been clarified. A fortnight later, when Kim was photographed with another young woman on his arm at the opening of a Pyongyang amusement park, North Korea’s official media pointedly identified her as “his wife, Comrade Ri Sol-ju” – a woman who had performed with the same group as Hyon Song-wol.
This terse announcement was a revolution in North Korean terms, where until now the private lives of the rulers had been kept strictly secret.
Hyon Song-wol’s patriotic hits included “Footsteps of Soldiers”, “I Love Pyongyang”, “She is a Discharged Soldier”, “We Are Troops of the Party”, and “Excellent Horse-like Lady”.
Why she and her fellow musicians should have been reduced to selling videos of themselves having sex, and why this severely proscribed activity should have been punished in such a cruel and public fashion, remains a mystery.

Who: With Casey Affleck, Rooney Mara, Ben Foster, Keith Carradine. Directed by David Lowery.
Rated: Not rated.
Running time: 105 minutes.
When: Opens Friday, Aug. 30.
Where: Cedar Lee Theatre in Cleveland Heights, Capitol Theatre in Cleveland's Gordon Square area.
Mara is fantastic as Ruth, torn by guilt - "I could solve this all by telling the truth," she wearily tells Skerritt at one point – but determined to protect her daughter at any cost.
But the girl is also Bob's daughter, and Affleck is equally driven to see her at any cost. I've never thought much of Ben's little brother before, thinking him a rather bland non-presence. But he's a force to be reckoned with here, equal parts love-struck, bloodthirsty and tender, as in the heartbreaking finale.

Already no stranger to controversy, Kanye West was faced with a groundswell of public outcry and media backlash nearing biblical proportions following the release of the Yeezus standout “I Am A God”. But where Christian rockers saw unrepentant blasphemy, an actual man of the cloth has stood up to support Yeezy’s ascension to godhood. Now Kanye just needs to deal with all those pissy French bakers and it’ll be all good in the hood.
Father Matthew Moretz is an associate rector of St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church in Manhattan, and each week he raps about Christian-centric songs/videos in his “Father Matthew Presents” series. With the passion and cool-dude attitude of a bible camp counselor who plays guitar, Moretz dissected the track’s biblical merits and why Kanye’s anything but a blasphemer.
As Moretz argues, Kanye’s godly assertion falls right in line with the Bible, which states in Psalm 82, “You are gods/And all of you are children of the Most High.” But amid his realization, he struggles with his vast wealth and fame and the knowledge of his elevated status and notoriety. And by doing so, Moretz concludes, Kanye is, in fact, tackling deeply spiritual subject matter and his own ever-changing relationship with God, which in turn just makes him a pretty darn good Christian. Booyah.
“It’s about power and prayer and idolatry,” Moretz adds of the song, which he described as “undulating” in a totally non-creepy way. “What would you do if someone said you were a god or an idol? ‘Here, have everything you want and let us worship you.’ Would you be able to resist? So go easy on Kanye.”
Even if religion makes you as uncomfortable as it does for this writer, it’s an intriguing and insightful analysis. Plus, Moretz reminds us of a nerdier Ed Helms, which makes listening to him that much easier.

Miley Cyrus isn’t the only woman whose rear-end has been getting some extra attention from Robin Thicke in recent days.
The married dad was recently snapped in a friendly clinch with a hot blonde — but the mirror behind them revealed Robin’s X-rated intentions!
The reflection captured the Blurred Lines singer’s hand creeping up the back of the woman’s skirt as he groped her butt cheek with a grin on his face!
The photo is believed to have been taken at NYC nightclub 1OAK, where Robin hosted an after-party following his MTV VMA performance with Miley on Sunday night. It was posted on social media.
Other official shots from the night show Robin, 36, wearing the same pinky ring on his right hand and what appears to be the same tuxedo shirt and jacket.
And even though Robin’s wife, Paula Patton, was nowhere to be seen as he got up close and personal with the blonde, she was spotted elsewhere in the club, partying by his side all night.
Paula, 37, was also on hand when Robin partied with twerk fiend Miley on Friday night in the city, RadarOnline.com has learned exclusively, hitting up the Darby and 1OAK before calling it a night.
Indeed, all appeared well between the couple as they frolicked on the beach with their son, Julian, in Miami on Wednesday.
But Robin does have a history of blurring the lines of monogamy: As RadarOnline.com reported, he hit on married Playboy model Amy Varela back in 2012.
Is Robin’s behavior all part of his schtick or inappropriate for a married man and father? Let us know in the comments!
Big Brother contestant Aaryn Gries was evicted by fellow contestants on Thursday, allowing host Julie Chen to confront her for the first time for the racist behavior she displayed on the show.
After she was unanimously voted off the show by the other contestants, Aaryn sat with Chen for a biting interview.
Julie Chen asked Aaryn if she had an explanation for her behavior, but Aaryn appeared to dodge the issue and said the accusations were overblown. But when Chen read word-for-word accounts of what Aaryn had said, the college student changed her tune. “I do not remember saying those things,” she said. “That was not meant to be serious, and if I said those things I feel horrible because I regret that.” [video above]

Comedian Dave Chappelle was reportedly heckled to the point that he ended his performance in the Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival on Thursday night, and walked off stage.
Chappelle was only a few minutes into his act at the Comcast Theatre in Hartford, Conn., when he stopped telling jokes because the people in front were making too much noise, The Laugh Button reported.
The heckling even drove the festival's Twitter account to write:

Now that we know who will play Joss Whedon's Ultron in "Avengers: Age of Ultron," perhaps it's time to learn a little more about just who Ultron is as a character.
The world now knows that James Spader is going to play Ultron in Avengers: Age of Ultron. What the world may not know, however, is just who Ultron actually is, or what to expect from the villain of the 2015 follow-up to last year's successful The Avengers. Luckily, I'm here to help you with that.
