British lawmakers have approved a bill that makes gay marriage legal in England , Wales.
LONDON (AP) — British lawmakers have passed a bill legalizing same-sex marriage in England and Wales, with the first gay weddings expected to take place by next summer.
In what was largely seen as a formality, members of the House of Commons on Tuesday approved minor amendments made to the legislation, which had cleared the House of Lords a day earlier.
Now, all the bill needs is official assent from Queen Elizabeth II, which is expected to come later in the week.
The bill will enable gay couples to get married in both civil and religious ceremonies in England and Wales. It also will allow couples who had previously entered into a civil partnership to convert their relationship to a marriage.
Finally some happy news! Congrats!
But still remaining to be cast is the titular missing wife, which would be a juicy and high-profile role for a thirty-something actress. A project insider dismisses the possibility of Charlize Theron taking on the project, as had been reported. "Charlize is not doing this movie," emphasizes the source. A studio insider also rules out Natalie Portman -- who had been in the mix to star in Fincher's The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo before he cast Rooney Mara -- and Emily Blunt as potential candidates due to their availability. Reese Witherspoon, who optioned the book last summer via her Type A production company, is on board as a producer only and will not star.
Zachary Quinto and Jonathan Groff quietly broke up this spring, Gossip Cop has learned.
Quinto, who officially came out of the closet in 2011, confirmed his relationship with fellow actor Groff the following year.
On Wednesday, a Perez Hilton “source” reported that things did “not end well” between Quinto and Groff, and that their split was “far from amiable.”
That characterization is not true, Gossip Cop can report.
A source close to the situation assures us that “they remain friends,” and there is “nothing salacious” to the story.

We already know Netflix shows are a success on some levels. The likes of House of Cards, Arrested Development, and, now, Orange is the New Black, have garnered fans and critical acclaim. But this morning's Emmy nominations will tell a different story for the streaming site.
Netflix is this year's big unknown at the Emmys. Two of their shows—Cards and Development—have at least a decent shot at getting nominated in multiple categories, and if they don't it won't be for the company's lack of trying. Netflix campaigned fiercely, giving incentives for homeowners to put up lawn signs, and giving Academy members BBQ. A strong presence for Netflix shows in the nominations might herald a big change in tune for the awards show.
"It certainly is a marker of the new era. ... It will send shock waves through the industry," said Tim Brooks, a TV historian and former network executive.
Though Arrested Development, what with its weaker critical reception, might have a harder time breaking into the comedy categories, we could easily see House of Cards picking up nominations for actors like Kevin Spacey, Robin Wright, and Corey Stoll, and possibly even scoring a best drama honor. If that were to happen it might mean a new era of television awards dominance. According to the New York Times' Bill Carter: "More than anything else, Netflix’s arrival in the Emmy mix is disquieting to some broadcast and cable executives because it is probably only the beginning."

The Backstreet Boys are back, alright!
The iconic boy band is celebrating its 20th anniversary by releasing a new album, “In a World Like This,” on July 30, and heading out on a world tour.
Today, in a “Good Morning America” exclusive, the Backstreet Boys debuted the music video for their new single, “In a World Like This.”
“The concept of the video is based on the song, which tells a story of how love conquers all and ‘in a world like this’ that we live in, with all the craziness and negative energy that can go around, with real love you can overcome anything,” band member A.J. McLean told “GMA.”

Bullying is a widespread issue for attendees of Comic-Con, on multiple different fronts. Many of those who are drawn to geek culture have been targeted and marginalized throughout their lives. Korean director Bong Joon-Ho’s upcoming blockbuster “Snowpiercer” has been sold to 167 countries, the film’s promoter said on Tuesday.
CJ E&M said through a press release that the film, set to open in Korean theaters on August 1, has taken the record as the Korean film to be sold to most number of countries.
The film can be watched in 167 countries including the U.S., France, England, Canada, Australia, and Scandinavia, earning it over 20 million U.S. dollars, which is a similar to total amount that Korean films make from exports overseas annually, the promoter added.
An official with CJ E&M told TenAsia over the phone separately that actress Tilda Swinton and actor Chris Evans, starring in “Snowpiercer,” are most likely to visit Korea soon to attend the film’s premiere and red carpet event in Seoul on July 29.
The film, set in AD 2031, revolves around a train’s passengers who are the only survivors on Earth and they believe that if the trains stops, mankind will come to an end.
Korean auteur Park Chan-Wook took part in the global project as a producer while CJ E&M funded the project with a budget of 45 billion won, or approximately 39.8 million U.S. dollars.

News Corp.’s (NASDAQ:NWS) recently independent media arm, 21st Century Fox, is trying to show this movie studio still has superhero muscle, highlighting the upcoming X-Men, Wolverine, and Fantastic Four films due out in the next couple of years at Comic-Con in San Diego, California, this week.
Fox has fallen behind rival Walt Disney Co. (NYSE:DIS), which owns Marvel Entertainment and the rights to Marvel’s creations, in the comic-book movie adaptation game. Disney has seen great success with its Iron Man and Avengers films. Other studios also capitalizing on the superhero trend include Sony’s (NYSE:SNE) Sony Pictures Entertainment with the popular Spider-Man series, and Time Warner Inc.’s (NYSE:TWX) Warner Bros. studio with the Batman Dark Knight films.
Fox kicked off the trend as the first studio to capitalize on comic book adaptations (lol not true). Fox has a 20-year deal with Marvel that began years before it was purchased by Disney and Marvel characters started hitting the big screen, giving the company the rights to characters from the X-Men and Fantastic Four series. Fox’s X-Men films released in 2000 and 2002 garnered commercial and critical success, but the third X-Men flick and the two Fantastic Four movies flopped with critics, comic book geeks, and the box office.
Comic book adaptations took the top two box office slots in 2012 and have done so again so far this year, and Fox is determined not to miss out on the trend after several flops. The studio is releasing The Wolverine, based on the X-Men character of the same name, later this month, in addition to another X-Men sequel in summer 2014 as well as a new Fantastic Four movie by 2015.
Fox is banking most on next summer’s X-Men film, X-Men: Days of Future Past. The movie was given a huge $200-million budget and will be heavily promoted at Comic-Con, which hosts a notoriously harsh audience. If Fox plays its cards right and the movie is well received, some are predicting it could compete with The Avengers’s box office take of $1.5 billion.
Congrats to all the nominees. So happy for Kerry, Alfre Woodard and Don Cheadle. House of Lies is so underrated.

Nominations for the 65th Emmy Awards were announced Thursday morning. Here's a round-up of reaction from the nominees.
Sarah Paulson, supporting actress, miniseries or movie, American Horror Story: Asylum
Paulson is in New Orleans, getting ready for season three of Ryan Muphy's Horror Story. "I'm here, ready and getting ready. I'm in New Orleans. There's nothing I can say. But Coven is in the title and that implies witches," she says. So how does the actress celebrate the nomination, which she says feels "so sweet?" She's going to try and find some bubbly. "I'm away from home and I'm not with any of my friends. I'll go try and find the rest of the crew that is here and go drink some Champagne. Maybe I'll start now. Is that weird? It's a morning beverage," giggles Paulson.( Collapse )

Evans agreed to attend 60 Narcotics Anonymous meetings withing six months in exchange for the judge throwing out the case, almost like it never happened.
TMZ is reporting that Evans (brother of CAPTAIN AMERICA star Chris Evans) is now officially off the hook after completing his obligation in the six month time frame. In exchange, the judge dismissed the case.
Evans was busted in December and charged with one count of attempted possession of a controlled substance after trying to buy coke from an undercover cop. His original plea was "not guilty" but he changed the plea in exchange for no jail time.

After a four-year gap since their last album, many fans have been left ‘jonesing’ for some Jonas, but all that ends when their new album V, in honour of their fifth studio release drops later this fall. Joining us in our ET Canada studio, Joe Jonas tells Rick Campanelli the group’s new music is worth the wait: “We went in studio originally and we felt like it wasn't right. So we looked at each other and said maybe we should take a little bit more time. We ended up getting back in the studio six months later and something clicked.”
It’s not just time that enriches their music, it’s also life experiences and that’s all part of their new winning formula. “I think it’s important to live a little, make some babies… live a little bit of life prior to writing about it,” says Kevin Jonas, who just announced last week he and his wife Danielle are expecting their first child.
So what’s in store for the little Jonas on-the-way? Kevin’s siblings say he’ll make a wonderful dad, but will probably be a bit of a pushover. “He’s going to spoil the kid for sure,” says Nick. While Joe adds, “if it’s a girl, it’s a wrap. She’ll actually live in the Disney castle.”
Speaking of Disney, they aren’t the only stars from the network to go from child actor to superstar. Miley Cyrus is also making waves with her edgier music this year, and Nick who dated the former Hannah Montana star says he couldn't be more happy for his ex. “It’s great to see that she can continue to be successful and make the kind of music she wants to make,” he says. “It’s really interesting right now. If you look at who are on top of the pop charts right now, you've got Miley, Demi and Selena and we’re happy to be back on our game.”
Of course being together on tour for so long means there’s bound to be some bickering between bros! And tonight they dish about sibling rivalry on ET Canada starting at 7:30 ET/PT.

Netflix’s ‘‘House of Cards’’ made Emmy history Thursday with a top drama series nomination, the first time that television’s leading awards have recognized a program delivered online as equal in quality to the best that TV has to offer.
The nomination, one of nine nods earned by the political thriller, is a marker in the unfolding revolution in how we receive and watch video entertainment.
‘‘It’s really groundbreaking,’’ said Ted Sarandos, chief content officer for Netflix. ‘‘It’s beyond our most bold expectations. We were thinking a single nomination would be a win... It’s as much a win for Internet television as it is for the content creators.’’

Britney Spears will announce in several weeks her Vegas deal we told you about 2 months ago ... and as it was put to us, "It's not your father's Shania Twain concert."
Sources connected with the deal tell us ... Britney will bring a "cool, hip club-like show" to Planet Hollywood. We're told it will NOT feel like a run-of-the-mill concert -- the vibe is very different. And the show will change on a fairly regular basis.
We're told the deal also includes appearances Britney will make at various pool parties, as well as the Planet Hollywood nightclub.

Who could say no to George Clooney? Eva Longoria, apparently. A source close to the Oscar-winning actor, 52, tells Us Weekly exclusively that he unsuccessfully tried to woo the Desperate Housewives star, 38, while he was still dating Stacy Keibler. Friendly for years, Clooney and Longoria hung out at Soho House in Berlin -- both were in Germany for work -- this past March, "but did not hook up," according to the insider.
After that, "George began pursuing Eva," the source continues. "He told her that he was still with Stacy, but had plans to break up with her and was interested in being with Eva."
While once-divorced Longoria resisted, the Descendants star "continued to pursue her with texts and calls. Eva make it clear to him that she would not date or be with him until he was completely single."
As Clooney and Keibler's romantic status appeared unchanged, Longoria found love with someone else: Ernesto Arguello, who starred in NBC's cancelled dating reality show Ready for Love, which Longoria produced. "She is now very happy with him," the source adds. "George and Eva never hooked up."
Clooney and Keibler, meanwhile, finally, officially ended their two-year relationship earlier this month. (The Oscar winner and the Supermarket Superstar host, 33 "hadn't had sex in months," another source explained.)
Adds a third insider of the former WWE star: "Stacy has always been independent and has been focusing on her work. She got fed up with the distance between them and broke it off."
A rep for Clooney tells Us he does not comment on his client's personal life.

Miley Cyrus is unfazed by rumors she is a lesbian. In fact, she takes any insinuation as a compliment.
When she chopped off her long locks and shaved the sides of her head for a super edgy, bleached-blonde style, the 20-year-old pop star triggered a controversy that even got her pegged as gay.
“Everyone said I was a lesbian but I’m like, ‘Being a lesbian isn’t a bad thing. So if you think I look like I’m a lesbian, I’m not offended. You can call me much worse,'" she told the Toronto Sun on Tuesday. "I’ve been called much worse. Being a lesbian is a compliment more than what else they call me.”
The "We Can't Stop" singer has long been a supporter of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community. In 2011, Cyrus got an equality sign tattooed on her middle finger in support of same-sex marriage. She has said her favorite fans are her gay fans, she praised Disney for introducing a same-sex couple and even tweeted about having sexy dreams about Katy Perry.
Last month, Cyrus stopped by the Facebook headquarters to help kick off LGBT Pride Month with the FB staff.
"I believe every American should be allowed the same rights and civil liberties," she wrote in an article for Glamour last year. "Without legalized same-sex marriage, most of the time you cannot share the same health benefits, you are not considered next of kin and you are not granted the same securities as a heterosexual couple. How is this different than having someone sit in the back of the bus because of their skin color?"
Capcom senior product manager Matt Dahlgren has confirmed to Siliconera that the fifth new character in Ultra Street Fighter IV won’t be from any other companies—it will be a Capcom character. Dahlgren also hinted to us that it’s a character that isn’t on anyone’s radar, and that Capcom feel the character will be a perfect fit for the Street Fighter universe. Paired with previous hints, this leaves us with the following clues:
It is a Capcom character.
It isn’t Asura or Bad Box Art Mega Man.
Ultra Street Fighter IV will mark this character’s fighting game debut.
It is a character that isn’t on anyone’s radar.
The character will be a perfect fit for the Street Fighter universe.

Even the trailer for Scandal made me feel euphoric – after all, this show has the first black female protagonist in a network drama in nearly 40 years. Even better, in the show itself race does not assume a character of its own – it is not the epicentre, it is merely incidental and I, and many others (at least, my twitter feed) are thankful for this.
Scandal, which recently started its second series on More4, stars Kerry Washington as the powerhouse that is Olivia Pope, a middle-class, Republican (don't hold it against her), elite crisis manager in Washington DC. She fixes problems: not run-of-the-mill ones, but problems on a colossal scale. The show has been praised for having a racially diverse cast. The characters are defined by the essence of who they are, not by the pigmentation of their skin. Pope is a host of contradictions: unapologetically bold but not above reproach; formidable but not immune from the pang of vulnerability. Pope is a fully realised person, which, in regards to roles given to black actors, is a rarity.
There is Luther, of course, starring Idris Elba as the eponymous detective chief inspector. Elba plays quite possibly the most complex role in British television of any actor at the moment, let alone black British actors. While his success should be celebrated, there is still much progress to be made, especially when it comes to black British female actors.
We do not have black British female protagonists on our televisions, let alone ones who display the layers and depth of Olivia Pope. The last time one graced our screens was circa 199never, and this needs to be both challenged and resolved. Not only is there a need for roles for black British female actors, these roles need to be cultivated within a post-racial context.

So I asked the show’s creator, Amy Sherman-Palladino, whether she knew any inside dirt. She does not. “They are telling me nothing more than they’ve told you,” she wrote in an email.
And then, more dispiritingly, “My opinion of what the eventual outcome will be, though, has not changed.”
BuzzFeed readers probably know what that opinion is. Sherman-Palladino believes the show will be canceled.
The Umbrella hitmaker took to the stage at the city's M.E.N Arena as part of her Diamonds world tour, but was forced to stop the show after her performance of Rude Boy as several revellers began hurling snacks.
The irate singer told the audience, "This is next level, there is a good crazy and there is a bad crazy, but when you throw s**t up here, that's an epic fail. I swear to God, cut that s**t out. Really? Chips? Chips, though - it's that important? Ok Manchester, for those of you who want to (get) jiggy and have a good f**king time, say my name!"
Rihanna is not the only superstar to scold her fans during a recent concert - Beyonce chastised a gig-goer at a show in Atlanta, Georgia last week for filming her on a cell phone instead of singing along to her track Irreplaceable.

The pop-culture landscape is a different world than it was three years ago. Back then, the Jonas Brothers were at the top of the boy-band heap, with a sitcom (“Jonas”/“Jonas L.A.”), a TV-movie franchise (“Camp Rock”), and a successful concert film to their name, on top of a recording career that saw them delivering albums at a reliable rate of one every year.
Then things seemed to stop. The television show was canceled and the band split from longtime label Hollywood Records, both of which left the Jonas Brothers without the substantial promotional heft of Disney behind them. Perhaps more ominously, a new generation of boy bands like One Direction and solo acts like Justin Bieber filled the vacuum created by their absence. And, lest it be forgotten, the onetime kings of teen-pop are no longer teens themselves.
But Joe Jonas isn’t concerned that his group has lost touch with its core constituency. Just the opposite, in fact.
“It’s interesting to see how, going to a show, the audience has really grown up with us,” says the 23-year-old singer. “Three years is a lot, and seeing audience members with beers in their hands and things like that, it’s pretty hilarious. So it’s kind of cool to see that our fans are growing up."
That’s where the Jonas Brothers, who play the Bank of America Pavilion on Monday, currently find themselves. The challenge facing them now is how to transition smoothly from being a Disney act to being an adult band. According to Jonas, there are pluses and minuses to their newfound freedom.

For anyone looking to be swallowed by a tidal wave of 90′s cult sci-fi nostalgia, TV Guide’s X-Files 20th Anniversary panel at 3:30pm in Ballroom 20 was the place to be.
TV Guide’s Michael Schneider moderated the proceedings, and kicked-off the panel with the gusto of a true “X-Files” enthusiast. Unfortunately, the spooky tv classic was unable to fill the massive ballroom from the start, and had been previously filled to the gills with “Psych” and “Sherlock” fans.
But after producers like Howard Gordon (“Homeland”) and creator Chris Carter walked on stage, the room darkened and the eerie “X-Files” played to the elation of fans. David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson then came out to a monster reaction from the audience, entering the darkened ballroom with only flashlights, like their characters from the show.

Nominations for the 65th Primetime Emmy Awards were announced early Thursday morning by Breaking Bad boy Aaron Paul and three-time Emmy winner/How I Met Your Mother star/this year’s Emmys host Neil Patrick Harris.
Here is the list of the major nominees . Your job, as fellow TV enthusiasts, is to hit the comments with utter euphoria… or over-expressed outrage. (It’s the Internet, so we’re conservatively predicting 60 percent “outrage.”)

This previously unseen footage shows David Bowie being interviewed regarding his arrest for Marijuana possession in Rochester in 1976. To the best of my knowledge, this footage is extremely rare and had basically gone unseen for around 35 years before being uploaded to youtube a few days ago.
IMHO, he was at the peak of his beauty in this footage - it should be illegal to be that attractive.

The first day of Comic-Con has arrived, and fans are already anxiously queuing outside the San Diego Convention Center for the Ender’s Game and Divergent panels, both of which promise exclusive footage from the young-adult-novel adaptations that some are calling “the next Hunger Games.” Despite the palpable excitement surrounding the films, and their career-boosting potential, Divergent star Shailene Woodley tells us that she initially balked at the idea of starring in Neil Burger’s adaptation of Veronica Roth’s best-selling novel, for which a sequel is already planned.
When we spoke with Woodley at Comic-Con, mere hours after she arrived from the film’s dystopian Chicago set, she explained her reservations.

Courtney Love, who is currently on a solo tour, is working on a new album for early 2014 and an as-yet-untitled memoir that's due around the holidays in December, according to Billboard.
The album is tentatively titled Died Blonde and she says she already recorded eight songs for the album. She plans to release a double A-sided single featuring the songs "California" and "Wedding Day", which she calls the perfect punk song, to coincide with the release of the memoir. "California", she says, "is my final bid to write the perfect California song, and I think I did."

A line of dolls resembling vampires is sucking the blood out of Barbie sales from toy stores around the country, the Christian Science Monitor reported. Mattel’s Monster High dolls, also known as “Goth Barbies,” have been a huge hit for the country’s largest toy manufacturer since their debut in 2010. They are based on teen characters that are offspring of famous monsters. According to the Monitor, Mattel reported Wednesday its second quarter net income fell by 24 percent, largely in part due to the lack of Barbie sales, along with a $14 million write-down on the toy maker's Polly Pocket line. The company’s shares dropped 7 percent as a result.
This marks the fourth straight quarter in which Barbie sales have slipped. But while sales of Barbie dolls have set like the sun on a Malibu beach house, BMO Capital Markets analyst Gerrick Johnson estimates sales of the Monster High dolls have likely grown to more than $500 million in just three years since the line debuted. Still, the dolls’ monster success has been overshadowed by a continued slide in Barbie sales, a drop the Goth-inspired cuties are partly responsible for. "We've introduced new franchises that have fueled significant category growth for the industry," Mattel CEO Bryan Stockton told the Monitor."The Barbie brand is likely being modestly impacted by their successes."
Stockton pointed out that Barbie sales are higher than when the Monster High dolls were introduced in 2010, and that Barbie continues to be the largest doll brand. Stockton also noted that Barbie sales will likely pick up in the second half of the year, as new shipments of products increase with the approaching holiday season. Mattel refers to this time as “the season,” while the other three quarters are known as the “preseason.” However, Barbie sales have slipped 12 percent in the latest quarter, while sales of the company's other girls brands rose 23 percent. This difference can be attributed largely to the increasing popularity of the Monster High dolls.
Mattel did not respond to a request for comment from FoxNews.com.
According to the Christian Science Monitor, the toy industry has witnessed a small decline this year for other reasons, as well. Cautious consumer spending, an increase in demand for smartphones and tablets, and a drop in sales in the video game industry have also hurt Mattel, along with other toy stores. For the April to June quarter, Mattel’s net income was $73.3 million with shares of 21 cents. This marks a drop from the same quarter of the previous year, when net income was $96.2 million with shares of 28 cents.

Adrienne Bailon is rethinking her ink. While dating Rob Kardashian from 2007 to 2009, the pair decided to get each other's names tattooed on their bodies. During a recent episode of Bailon's new daytime talk show, The Real, the "Uncontrollable" singer said she's removing her ode to the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star, 26.
(Bailon got "Robert A. Kardashian" tattooed on her butt; Kardashian got "Adrienne E. Bailon" written on his left ribcage.)
"I've gotten pretty bad tattoos before," Bailon, 29, told co-hosts Tamar Braxton, Tamera Mowry-Housley, Loni Love and Jeannie Mai. "Everybody knows I have the ratchet-iest booty tattoo of an ex-boyfriend. I don't know what I was thinking."
Bailon added that she is "in the process" of getting laser tattoo removal. "It does not feel good. You could smell your flesh burning," she explained. "And it's my ass flesh burning!"
"It's awful. Ten-letter last name, Kardashian. It's pretty bad, yeah," she added. "Now that is a ratchet tattoo. I made a very bad decision. Don't follow my example." When Mowry-Housley asked Bailon how she fit such a long name on her butt, the former Cheetah Girls star replied, "Mr. Cartoon did my tattoo. . . It was sized down so much that it actually started almost looking like a black blob."
Bailon vowed to never get another lover's name drawn on her body again -- and urged viewers to learn from her mistake: "Don't do it!"
Have you ever gotten a tattoo that you regret?
But that bit of early-EW populist rabble-rousing was pre-Sopranos, when the Emmys were still dominated by the networks. The big awards players at the time were NYPD Blue, ER, and Picket Fences. (Pretty good shows, but come on.) Meanwhile, the movies that year brought us Toy Story, Before Sunrise, Heat, Clueless, Safe, 12 Monkeys, The Usual Suspects, To Die For, Dead Man, Kicking and Screaming, Casino, Seven, Welcome to the Dollhouse—not to mention the five movies nominated for Best Picture, a whole bunch of good films made overseas, and some excellent documentaries. Recently, one writer argued that 1995 was the “best year ever for movies.” Unlike this year, when the Emmy nominations remind us of the high quality of recent television shows, it was flatly ridiculous to argue for TV’s superiority in 1995.

As part of the festivities the epic HBO series blinkbox has even installed a giant dragon skull on Dorset beach, which stunned and inspired locals.
The imposing feature was inspired by a memorable scene in the show which sees Arya Stark discover a dragon skull in the dungeons of King’s Landing.
At this point in George RR Martin’s fantasy the dragons are supposedly long dead, but the scene provided the evidence that they may return, and features heavily in the upcoming third season.
The launch of Season 3 of Game of Thrones on the Tesco-owned blinkbox has given the entertainment download service a 632 per cent increase in sales revenue compared to the same day in 2012.

On Thursday, the Television Academy announced its nominations for the 65th Primetime Emmy Awards, and Netflix crashed the party in a big way with its two high-profile shows, House of Cards (which racked up nine nominations) and Arrested Development (which had three).
But those newbie nominations were largely the exception, as an extraordinary crop of new series and performances—Orphan Black, Hannibal and The Americans among them—failed to gain traction with Emmy voters, many of whom reflexively gravitate to the same shows and actors each year.

Unstoppable, the new Kirk Cameron film, apparently got stopped this morning on Facebook. The social network reportedly thought that the movie’s posts were too “spammy” and decided to block the new film.
Cameron wrote on Facebook: “Facebook has officially “blocked” me and you (and everyone else) from posting any link to my new movie at UnstoppableTheMovieDOTcom, labeling the content as “abusive”, “unsafe”, and “spammy”! I can’t even write the real link here, or Facebook would block this post too!!”
Cameron asked his followers to try posting the link for themselves so that they can see how Facebook is blocking his movie.
The Facebook post reads:”Try to post it yourself and see! We have been officially shut down by Facebook and unable to get any response from them. This is my most personal film about faith, hope, and love, and about why God allows bad things to happen to good people. What is “abusive” or “unsafe” about that?! Please help us encourage Facebook to unblock our website soon by sharing this post with your friends so more people can see this transparent, faith-building project.”
But did Facebook really block Kirk Cameron’s film Unstoppable? Several of Cameron’s followers posted the link to the movie without a problem.
So either Kirk Cameron is lying and creating a controversy in order to get people talking about his movie, or Facebook has fixed the problem and has unmarked the website as “spammy.”
Kirk Cameron hasn’t commented on the Unstoppable Facebook controversy yet. Probably because there wasn’t any controversy to begin with. What do you think? Is this a marketing play for the new film? Did Cameron deceive his fans?
Cameron rose to fame in the 1980s playing Michael Seaver on the show Growing Pains. He is now a well known evangelist and Christian producer. His latest film, Unstoppable, tries to answer the question: “Where is God in the midst of tragedy and suffering?”
The movie hits theaters on September 24 for one night only.
So, not a ‘no’ then.
Lana Del Rey thrilled Russian fans on Monday evening when she took to the stage for a rescheduled performance in Moscow – but the ethnic headband she wore for the duration of her performance grabbed as much attention as her music.
The27-year-old singer was in Russia’s capital for the first of two shows she was originally scheduled to perform earlier this year, but was forced to cancel because of a throat infection.
Taking to the stage at the city’s Crocus City Hall, Lana appeared to have channeled her inner hippy as she worked her way through a string of hits in a short, sixties style smock dress with a dark blue panel across the chest.
