Beyonce PREGNANT???

Music insiders are chattering about Beyoncé expecting her second child with husband Jay-Z. Multiple sources told us after the Met Gala last week that the singer, who is currently in the middle of a world tour, is pregnant. Bey wore a Givenchy gown with a high, belted waist that carefully camouflaged her midsection, but pictures have emerged on blogs of what looks like a baby bump from recent tour dates. Last week Beyoncé, who gave birth to daughter Blue Ivy in January 2012, gave an interview to ABC’s “GMA,” where she said, “I would like more children. I think my daughter needs some company. I definitely love being a big sister.” But she came short of saying when that would occur: “At some point, when it’s supposed to happen,” she told ABC’s Amy Robach. Beyoncé’s rep didn’t get back to us for comment. But we wouldn’t expect her to — the singer announced she was pregnant with Blue Ivy at the 2011 MTV Music Awards by revealing her bump on the red carpet

Simon Cowell wants Hilary Duff, Kelly Rowland and MORE!

Simon Cowell has completed his shortlist for a new dream team of “X Factor” judges, a source tells Confidenti@l. The tight T-shirted television titan, who is in New York Monday to attend the Fox network’s upfronts, is in the final stages of choosing a new panel with his producers.
Cowell’s list is complete just days after The News reported he had instructed his underlings to not seek out big-name artists and to instead focus on chemistry between the judges.
Cowell is focused on Faith Hill, Hilary Duff, Jennifer Love-Hewitt, Kelly Rowland and Latina firecracker Paulina Rubio. Pop queen Demi Lovato has already re-signed, as did host Mario Lopez.

Vince Gilligan in-depth interview on the ending of Breaking Bad...

Knee-deep in edits for the final season of Breaking Bad, which premieres in August, the creator of television’s darkest drama talks with Lane Brown about violence as entertainment, the incredible pressure of bringing a beloved serial to an end, and what it feels like to have Dzhokar Tsarnaev as a fan.

How close to the finish line are you?
We’re very close—the shooting was finished April 3, and yesterday we finished editing our second episode of the final eight.

Are you happy?
I feel very happy. There was a great passage of time in the writers’ room where we were a little nervous about the outcome. Well, I shouldn’t speak for them: Iwas nervous.

Only "Person of Interest" and "Scandal" gained viewers during their second seasons (2012 - 2013)

New York Times, May 12, 2013: Sophomore Slump Afflicts Once-Promising TV Shows

The last thing network television needs is a sophomore slump.

Even with increased competition from cable television and online entertainment, networks could always count on new hits to be their strongest line of defense. And for decades the best thing about these new shows was that they continued to get stronger in their second season.

But in the television season about to end, some of the most popular new shows from a year ago have not built on their initial success — and in fact have wound up in premature decline. The excitement that surrounded the introduction, in fall 2011, of comedies like “New Girl” on the Fox network, “Two Broke Girls” on CBS, and “Last Man Standing” on ABC, and the family-friendly drama “Once Upon a Time” on ABC, largely fizzled in season two, as their ratings fell.

Bow before your Queen - Winona Ryder: The Ice Man Q&A

Winona Ryder has stayed pretty low key in the recent past but you cannot keep a great actress down and in the new mob "hit" The Ice Man, Winona turns in a very real performance as Deborah Pelicotti Kuklinski, the widow of real-life northern New Jersey hit man Richard Kuklinski (played in the film by Michael Shannon) who bragged over 300 hits after being imprisoned even though the cops had the number somewhere more like a modest 100.

Deborah (whose real name was Barbara) was oblivious to her husband's means of income despite his unpredictable behavior and incredible influx of cash despite being a supposed film cutter for Disney. He was captured by authorities in 1986 in front of his Dumont, NJ home with, not surprisingly, his poor wife on "maximum freak out" and was the subject of a 2001 HBO documentary where he describes many of his murders in extreme detail with no emotion whatsoever on his face or in his voice.

Ryder plays Deborah as a concerned and loving wife with a childlike and concerned air; the fighting matches over Kuklinski's strange behavior including long absences and constant trips out of the house (to make phone calls that can't be tapped) don't happen until three quarters the way through the film. Ryder creates Deborah as less glitzy and over the top than the previous mob wives we have seen on both the small and big screen--although she seems happy to be able to live in a comfortable four bedroom home with her family and enjoys getting the occasion designer dress or bauble from her husband. Deborah has a big heart and co-star Michael Shannon told us that he admits that Winona "had a big job to do and threw herself 100 per cent into it...when you see her perform, you really see what her character is going through." To which Ryder says, "Michael's talents and skills are stunning."

Selena demands WHAT!?

Selena Gomez demands Japanese noodles on tour.

The 20-year-old singer is about to embark on her three-month world tour and although she insists she isn't a diva, Selena always asks for portions of noodle soup dish ramen backstage as well as incense to burn.

She said: ''I actually have a boring rider. I'll be honest ... ramen. That's what I have. I'm more about food and apparently incense.''

Selena has been hitting the gym hard to get in shape for her 'Stars Dance Tour', which kicks off in October, and wants her performances to feel like a crazy rave that gets everybody up on their feet.

Speaking to MTV, the pop star explained: ''I want it [the tour] almost to tell, not necessarily a story, but I want it to feel like a big rave.

Star Trek Into Darkness JJ Abrams' Starfleet return will underwhelm even the most committed Trekkies

The cheers and whoops that greeted the 2009 relaunch of the Star Trek series contained in them, I thought, a big bass note of relief. For JJ Abrams had taken on the tricky task not only of appeasing a notoriously judgemental fanbase but of winning over a new generation of cinemagoers to whom a 1960s cult TV serial meant virtually squat.

Abrams’s film was respectful of but not slavish towards the tradition, acknowledging its epic proportions without pretending that any of it was Homer. Some smart casting and a better than average script ensured that intergalactic harmony was promisingly established between old school and new.

Four years on, this follow-up shows how quickly the shine can get knocked off. Star Trek Into Darkness is no disaster – it has too much competence on its side for that. Abrams understands the dynamics of the blockbuster, that ability to blend the outsize with the intimate, and he has got the same writing team (Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman, plus newcomer Damon Lindelof) to keep the ship steady. Once again, the conflict is scaled at a human level, turning on a moral debate between what is expedient and what is right. Once again, the Starship crew are sporting those viscose mustard- coloured V-necks that used to clad William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy et al. But there’s something missing, some vital creative spark to spring it from the crepuscular realm of the so-so and its border territory, the so-what.

James Franco May Be Dating Daenerys Targaryen

Today in surprising possible hookups: James Franco "was seen squiring" Game of Thrones heroine Emilia Clarke around the Frieze Art Fair at Randalls Island this weekend. Clarke previously dated Seth MacFarlane. Are Franco and MacFarlane the same "type"? I can't decide. Queen Gwyneth Paltrow's Summer Guide

Of all the job titles that Gwyneth Paltrow currently holds —

Iron Man heroine, best-selling cookbook author, web entrepreneur, People’s Most Beautiful Woman, side-butt awareness advocate —- there’s one that rubs her the wrong way: “lifestyle guru.” Despite two cookbooks and fast-growing goop empire, which now includes everything from recipes to housewares to a dietary “cleanse” product line, Paltrow says she sees herself less as an all-knowing advisor than as a clued-in pal with tips to share. “I’m not positioning myself as an expert or someone to follow, I just have access to interesting stuff that I’ve found, and you might like it, too,” says the actress, who sat down with EW at the Apple store in Soho on Tuesday before giving a presentation about her snazzy new goop City Guides app, which offers Paltrow-approved places to eat, stay, play, and shop in NYC, LA and London. (Guides to Paris and the entire country of Spain are in the works.)  “It’s like having a sister you trust who says, ‘This person does a great bikini wax’ and you know it’ll be great. I love providing that service for people.”

Since she’s such a font of great recommendation, we asked Paltrow for her a few items on her Must List this summer. Here’s what she told us:

Star Trek’s History of Progressive Values — And Why It Faltered on LGBT Crew Members

In 2009, director J.J. Abrams transformed Star Trek into a true mainstream hit with his blockbuster movie reboot, earning $385 in worldwide box office and shattered the opening weekend IMAX record; with Star Trek Into Darkness about to hit theaters this Friday, he seems poised to do it again.

But long before the 47-year-old franchise was breaking box office records, it was breaking ground as one of the most forward-thinking franchises in television and film history. Thanks largely to the (at the time) radical philosophy of creator Gene Roddenberry, the show attracted audiences with its adventure stories, but it kept them with its utopian optimism: the idea that the raging intolerance of the day would someday become a thing of the past, and anyone could explore the stars if they wanted.

In the future, Roddenberry envisioned race and gender as non-issues. He put Japanese-American George Takei, as Lt. Hikaru Sulu, at the helm; African-American Nichelle Nichols, as Lt. Nyota Uhura, in the communications chair; and even attempted to make the Enterprise’s first officer a woman (studio executives rejected that unsavory idea, so the alien Spock took the job). The equality on the U.S.S. Enterprise’s bridge was a watershed moment, both in television history and in Americans’ understanding of social equality.

“Most television shows, at best, follow cultural trends. Star Trek had clear-cut ideals of its own,” wrote Joan Winston, Jacqueline Lichtenberg and Sondra Marshak in their 1975 book Star Trek Lives!, the first and most definitive chronicle of the early years of Trek fandom. “No one would claim that Star Trek was the cause of all the improvement [we've made with problems like racism and sexism]. But it is still harder to believe that it had no effect, when twenty million people tuned in to Star Trek and saw Mr. Spock being treated as friend and brother by Captain Kirk, saw the black and the Russian and the Oriental [sic] and the Southerner and the others treating each other with respect and love.”

This heritage makes it all the more unfortunate that the progressive values of the original series seem to have faltered—and even begun trailing the mainstream—with the increasingly pointed absence of  LGBT members in later iterations of the franchise, and their failure to treat sexual orientation like the same sort of non-issue that Roddenberry once envisioned for race and gender on the bridge of the Enterprise.

Lindsay Lohan: "I Want Out of Betty Ford".....Not Gonna Happen

Lindsay Lohan is determined to leave The Betty Ford Center for greener pastures ... but TMZ has learned prosecutors are having none of it.

TMZ broke the story ... Betty Ford doctors have cut Lindsay off from her Adderall, which she has always said was a deal breaker.  Sources connected to Lindsay tell us she's going "crazy" and is desperate to move to another facility. We're told Lindsay has researched other facilities and found one on the west coast which she believes is suitable to complete her 90 days.  She wants to move ASAP.

Lindsay is saying she believes Betty Ford is "old school" and is not sensitive to the problems of young people.

But law enforcement sources tell us ... prosecutors are "unbending" -- they will NOT approve any move. As one source put it, "She had 45 days to find a suitable place.  She didn't listen to her people and just did what she wanted so it's her problem now."  The source adds, "Not gonna happen."

Alyson is still bitter 10 years later

ACTRESS Alyson Hannigan says Buffy co-star Sarah Michelle Gellar was "annoyed" at having to play the vampire fighting hero.

In a TV interview, the How I Met Your Mother star was asked who was most annoyed to be on Buffy the Vampire Slayer by the seventh and final season.

"Sarah," the 39-year-old replied. "Well, she had a big career going on ... It was a lot of work."

Hannigan was then asked after what season did Gellar start hating Buffy.

"Uh, three," Hannigan answered.

Gellar, 36, spoke years ago about the problems she had with committing to a series.

"I was 18 when I started the show; I'm 26. I'm married. I never see my husband [Freddie Prinze Jr.]," she said. "This has been the longest span of my life in one place. There've been times where that's been difficult - you want to pick up and go, try other things, live in different places. It feels right, and you have to listen to that."

The series ended over ten years ago and she is still complaining about Sarah. At least Sarah turned up to the Buffy reunion.

Beyoncé Pregnant with Baby No. 2

Is Blue Ivy Carter about to become a big sister?

The New York Post, citing multiple sources, says that Beyoncé and husband Jay-Z are expecting a sibling for their daughter, now 15 months.

Beyoncé, 31, has made no secret about wanting to give her first-born a sibling, and a new bump watch has commenced as the singing diva continues on a world tour that ends in Brooklyn on Aug. 5.

But a source tells PEOPLE the baby may not be on the way just yet: "Beyoncé and Jay are planning for another baby after her tour is over and things calm down just a bit."
Most recently, Beyoncé appeared in a black and gold strapless Givenchy gown – with matching boots – at the punk-themed Met Gala in New York City. Her waist was cinched tightly with a grommeted black and gold belt. She spoke to Good Morning America recently about the possibility of another child, but seemed open on the timing of when that might occur.

"I would like more children," Beyoncé said. "I think my daughter needs some company ... at some point, when it's supposed to happen."

Reps did not respond to requests for comment.

This would explain why shes taking so damn long with Grown Woman, and her looking a bit bigger at the MET and at her recent concert dates:

Gwyneth Paltrow’s Met Gala Smack Talk: Pros vs. Cons

After complaining to USA Today last week that the Met Ball was "un-fun," Gwyneth Paltrow shit-talked the gala some more during a drunken dinner in New York with two Australian radio show hosts known as Kyle and Jackie O, who apparently won a meal with her in some sort of contest. After confessing that she was drunk, Paltrow discussed how dreadful the ball was and then expounded on her recent adventures in vagina-shaving. You can listen to the full recording below, but we've transcribed all the salient parts.

The recording begins when Jackie O and Kyle first arrive at the table. "I am drunk already," Paltrow confesses. "I had a martini, and it went straight to my head, and now wine with no food." Kyle then asks her how the "Met thing" was, and she responds:

Stephen Moffat Laughs Off 50th Anniversary Special Rumors and Speculation

Doctor Who's Steven Moffat has laughed off speculation surrounding the 50th anniversary special.

Speaking at last night's (May 12) BAFTA Television Awards, the showrunner insisted that many of the rumors surrounding November's celebratory episode are "absolutely mental".

"Most things that have been said about the 50th are not true," he claimed. "Normally I am responsible for the disinformation and the rubbish rumors - I usually put them out myself, but I haven't needed to for this one.

"People are spinning off the most amazing things - it's absolutely mental!"

He quipped: "Some of them, I think, are actually quite good ideas. I might use them in future!"

Moffat also insisted that this Saturday's (May 18) series finale 'The Name of the Doctor' won't leave fans "empty-handed".

"I know I'm guilty sometimes of making you wait a very long time for answers, but you actually are going to get some," he said.

"I won't just say, 'Oh, we'll tell you next time', - not completely anyway! You've got to leave something."

The writer also addressed Doctor Who's long-term future, saying that an eighth series of the BBC sci-fi drama is "definitely confirmed".

Hope he's referring to the asshattery of John Hurt's rumored character. BTS Billie and the one and only 9th Doctor thank you for your time.

Daft Punk confused by comeback madness

Daft Punk are confused by the hype surrounding their return. The French
electronic duo - Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo - admit they
are puzzled by the response they've received since announcing their 2013
comeback and are struggling to come to terms the huge anticipation surrounding
their upcoming album, 'Random Access Memories'.

Guy-Manuel said: ''Right now my brain is shutting everything down, making me
pretend that everything is normal. It still amazes me that everyone is so crazy
about what we are doing. I'm like, either I am crazy or everybody's crazy.Maybe
I am just dreaming but people seem to really freak out at what we are doing. I
don't know why!'' The musicians are confident about the quality of their new LP
- which combines sounds from the past, present and future - but are concerned
about unveiling it to the public, especially now there has been such an enormous
build up to the release.

Speaking to, Thomas explained: ''The music itself is exactly
what we wanted it to be. We have no anxiety about that. Sharing it with the
world is something different. It's a big question mark. There's a certain amount
of excitement and madness that enters the equation.''

Brave director slams Disney's sexy Merida makeover

Paul Liberatore in The Marin Independent Journal:

Marin filmmaker Brenda Chapman, who won an Oscar for writing and co-directing the animated feature "Brave," blasted Disney's sexy makeover of her movie's feisty heroine, Merida, as "a blatantly sexist marketing move based on money." ... "I think it's atrocious what they have done to Merida ... When little girls say they like it because it's more sparkly, that's all fine and good but, subconsciously, they are soaking in the sexy 'come-hither' look and the skinny aspect of the new version. It's horrible!"

It's really blistering, bridge-burning stuff, and I salute her for it: "I forget that Disney's goal is to make money without concern for integrity."

Jaimie Alexander on Wonder Woman and more...

Here’s an undeniable fact: in today’s climate, making Wonder Woman a live-action property is a tall order. Well, making it happen is possible – but doing it without accusations of sexism, misogyny, or simply ignorance seems nearly impossible. But just because the task is a difficult one, that doesn’t mean it’s not worthwhile to attempt, with possible rewards for female audiences both old and young.

Women with actual superpowers are sparse even in Marvel’s stable of films, but Thor: The Dark World‘s warrior goddess Lady Sif – played by Jaimie Alexander – doesn’t think Wonder Woman is impossible to adapt to the screen. She has her own thoughts on what a modern Diana could bring, even if the versions of the character most recently seen are, in her words, “embarrassing.”

[Lady Sif wants you to read this]
David E. Kelley has since defended his cancelled Wonder Woman TV pilot as a flawed effort, laying much of the blame on his own inexperience with the comic book genre. Of course, that failed attempt doesn’t seem to have damaged Warner Bros. or DC Comics’ plans for Diana, Princess of the Amazons. With a CW TV series already being cast, and Wonder Woman all but guaranteed to make an appearance in Justice League (2015), female comic book fans have likely never been more excited – or nervous.

When it comes to casting Diana for that big screen incarnation, Jaimie Alexander may have a few supporters already, as one of the few current actresses with experience playing an immortal goddess. But with Lady Sif becoming even more important in Thor: The Dark World, that camp may soon grow exponentially.

Alexander, a self-professed comic book fan, explained to MTV that while time has dashed her hopes of playing either X-23 or Jubilee in Marvel’s X-Men universe, she’s up for more comic book roles. When asked if she was still interested in portraying Wonder Woman, Alexander explained that previous attempts have dampened her interest:

“I used to be, and then I’ve seen how many failed attempts they’ve tried at remaking it. It’s embarrassing for me as a woman, to see what they did with that TV show. Had nothing to do with that amazing actress Adrienne Palicki. Absolutely not, she’s fantastic.”

Her position is not a difficult one to understand, since most people who ever saw David E. Kelley’s pilot were embarrassed themselves. There’s no need to kick a TV pilot when its down and out, but we’ll just say this: making a live-action Wonder Woman without being insensitive or chauvinistic demands that the creative minds tread lightly. Kelley and company didn’t.

For Alexander, the problems and criticism heaped on the TV pilot (and in many ways, somewhat applicable to the original Lynda Carter version) stretch far beyond DC’s leading lady. In her opinion, the success of a Wonder Woman film shouldn’t rest on how revealing her costume is, but how compelling a character she is presented as. In her impassioned response, Alexander even named some other major properties that inspiration could be drawn from:

“You know, let’s talk about this for a second: you’ve got very few female superheroes that are dominating films these days, unless they’re in a skintight outfit and their boobs are pushed up to their chin. And it’s not OK. It’s not. There needs to be a positive role model.

“If you’re going to make Wonder Woman, make it like The Bourne Supremacy. You know, let’s do something awesome like that. Alias was a fantastic show. Why can’t we do that? Why does she have to be in hot pants and spandex and all this stuff? And yeah, I get it, it’s visually stunning for…half of people. But at least make her grow a pair. All she does is eat ice cream while she’s crying over a boy. I know it never aired but that’s what the script said.”

To be fair, Kelley’s pilot wasn’t the only time studios have had problems adapting Diana to a modern setting. Even Joss Whedon’s planned Wonder Woman movie failed before lift-off, and while DC may have a stand-alone Wonder Woman film in the works, those plans have been put on hold until post-Justice League. But Alexander’s points hit the nail on the head.

As an unknown person of interest with a US government-issued liaison (Colonel Steve Trevor), the opportunity to explore the more clandestine aspects of the character (a la Alias) is there. While that’s partially the direction taken with DC’s New 52 “Justice League” comic series, things are much different in the current “Wonder Woman” line. Greek gods and goddesses abound, with Diana’s origins re-written as (SPOILERS) the daughter of Zeus and Hippolyta.

Whichever path DC and WB should choose to go down – either with the Amazon TV series or Justice League movie – we side with Alexander in our belief that what fans (and female fans in particular) want more than anything is simply a strong character, free from stereotypes or eye candy exploitation. Alexander may not be as interested in playing Diana as she once was, but her passion for what the character should represent may earn her a bit more attention from Warner Bros. after all, assuming they share her frustration.

What do you think of a Bourne or Alias vibe for a possible Wonder Woman project? Should they update the story, or use what worked best about the classical mythological source material? More importantly, should Alexander reconsider the role if pursued? Sound off in the comments.

Fans will have the chance to see Jaimie Alexander’s combat prowess when Thor: The Dark World releases on November 8, 2013

I asked him if he would do me a huge favour and shoot something. In the end he rather kindly, between filming scenes, came away and did a couple of things for us. So he's a great guy."
Bhaskar reveals he has been pals with Jackman since they filmed Woody Allen's 2006 movie Scoop together, adding, "We've just remained friends ever since, in that weird sort of way where people look at me and Hugh Jackman and say, 'You two are friends?'"

Woman Removed from Plane for Singing Whitney Houston Songs

An American Airlines flight from Los Angeles International to New York's John F Kennedy Airport was forced to make an emergency landing in Kansas City Friday after an unidentified woman refused to stop singing Whitney Houston songs.

Local Missouri station KCTV 5 broadcast one passenger's stealth video showing authorities escorting the would-be crooner off the plane as she was still wailing Houston's iconic cover of Dolly Parton's "I Will Always Love You."

According to airport spokesperson Joe McBride, the woman was subdued on the aircraft by a federal air marshal who put her in handcuffs and removed her from the plane. McBride added that woman reportedly blamed her outburst on her diabetes.

Demi Lovato talks to Billboard .... Q & A !!!!

"'Unbroken' wasn't my favorite album, and this one is my favorite one so far," the 20-year-old pop star tells Billboard. Last Tuesday (May 7), Demi Lovato asked her 13 million Twitter followers, "What's your favorite song off #DEMI??" Her fourth studio album, "Demi," was to be released on May 14 through Hollywood Records, but the 20-year-old pop singer posted the full album online eight days earlier, and wanted to get some instant feedback. The question was retweeted 18,000 times, with responses ranging from the sassy synth flare-up "Fire Starter" to the yearning ballad "Nightingale" to "Heart Attack," the album's lead single, which currently sits at No. 12 on the Hot 100 chart.

"I actually wanted to see what everyone's favorite was," Lovato tells Billboard, "but there wasn't one song that stood out as everyone's favorite. A lot of the time the fans were like, 'Oh, there's too many good ones to name!' And that was really cool… but I actually wanted to know what their favorite was." It's a good problem for Lovato to have -- two and a half years after withdrawing from a world tour to enter a treatment facility and confront "physical and emotional issues," the singer has become one of the most in-demand young artists in pop music, thanks in part to a comeback album, 2011's "Unbroken," that spawned the radio smash "Give Your Heart a Break" and netted her a spot on the judges panel of the U.S. version of "The X Factor" last year. "Demi" is a more diverse album than "Unbroken" (read the Billboard track-by-track review here), expanding Lovato's repertoire while keeping her powerful pipes front and center; it's an album that carries a wealth of Top 40 offerings, and could very well continue the singer's upward trajectory towards ubiquity.

Before "Demi's" release, Lovato chatted with Billboard about idolizing vocal powerhouses, re-upping with "The X Factor" and why "Demi" captures who she is in a way that "Unbroken" did not.

‘Hannibal’ Season 2: Decision Expected In Coming Weeks

While NBC’s Upfront presentations have delivered conclusive renewal and cancellation reports, as well as fall scheduling placements, ‘Hannibal‘ fans have noted the absence of either a season 2 announcement or a place on the schedule in the immediate future. NBC has yet to decide whether Bryan Fuller‘s darkly delicious ‘Hannibal’ will live to see a second season.

If you’re anything like us, you’ve been worried for the state of NBC’s ‘Hannibal’ given the meager ratings and somewhat jumbled schedule. One episode disappeared from the schedule out of sensitivity to the Boston Bombings, later making its way online, while this Wednesday’s “Fromage” will air with limited commercials to accommodate the super-sized ‘Office‘ series finale.

Not only that, but the exclusion of ‘Hannibal’ from any of NBC’s Upfront announcements had fans concerned for the series, while thankfully series creator Bryan Fuller stepped in to tell BuzzFeed that the network won’t make their decision until the coming weeks. “They’re being very close to the vest. But they’re saying [NBC president] Bob Greenblatt doesn’t want to make a decision right away. So we may not hear until next week, or the week after. It’s hard to say.”

The prospects for ‘Hannibal’ certainly look good despite the ratings, given all the critical buzz and strong international marketing, though a second season of ‘Hannibal’ wouldn’t likely air until early-mid 2014 anyway. We certainly hope it goes through, given the rich casting Bryan Fuller has in mind for ‘Hannibal’ season 2.

Well, what say you? Are you optimistic about a second season of NBC’s ‘Hannibal?’ How have you been enjoying the show thus far?

BEAST & WOLVERINE on set of X-MEN: Days of Future Past

In a long line of news, behind-the-scenes images and teasers, director Bryan Singer has tweeted the above image of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and Nicholas Hoult’s Beast filming ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ on the set of a very familiar looking hall. Singer captioned the image with: ”Welcome to 1973.” ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past,’ the seventh installment in the ‘X-Men’ film series, commenced filming last month in Montreal, Canada. It will be the first film in the ‘X-Men’ film series to be filmed in 3D.

Bryan Singer recently announced that ‘Game of Thrones’ star Peter Dinklage joined the cast of ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past.’ Further reports bring word that the Emmy and Golden Globe Award winning actor will play the main antagonist in the film. With Singer merging past and present ‘X-Men’ actors for ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past,’ the director also announced that Anna Paquin (Rogue), Daniel Cudmore (Colossus), Ellen Page (Kitty Pryde), Halle Berry (Storm) and Shawn Ashmore (Iceman) will be joining the film – which is ostensibly a sequel to ‘X-Men: First Class,’ but will prominently feature actors from the first ‘X-Men’ trilogy.

I'm starting to fear there will be zero W/R interaction in this movie :'(

Kardashians Growing ‘Increasingly Concerned’ About How ‘Self-Absorbed’ Kanye Treats Kim

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West expect their first child soon, but there could be big trouble ahead as the reality beauty’s family doesn’t approve of how the singer treats her, a source close to the Kardashian clan told

Hot on the heels of Kanye’s latest meltdown, when he walked into a street sign and then went on an expletive-heavy tirade against photographers in front of pregnant Kim, the source is speaking out about the behind-the-scenes drama.

“The Kardashian family members, particularly Kim’s mom Kris Jenner, are growing increasingly concerned about how Kanye treats Kim,” the insider said.

“Kris is also concerned about how Kanye acts around the paparazzi. The Kardashians have made their names off the back off being photographed, but Kanye has a real aversion to it.

“The incident in Beverly Hills last Friday when he walked into the street sign was just the latest in a string of issues that have concerned Kris. When they were in Paris, Kanye kept telling the paparazzi to leave him and Kim alone. But as a manager, Kris wants Kim and Kayne to be photographed; it’s their gig.”

Guillermo Diaz: I’m a huge Madonna stan!

Who knew Guillermo Diaz, who plays Huck on Scandal – one of the greatest shows on TV right now – was a big Madonna fan?
During an interview with Conan he talks about his memories of The Girlie Show.

Here’s a transcript by Madonnarama…

"I used to work at a photo stock agency. I used to file pictures of celebrities. I’m a huge Madonna fan and one of the photographers was going to shoot The Girlie Show, one of Madonna’s shows.

He came up to me one day and was like, “Guillermo, you’re going to be my assistant. We’re going to go to The Girlie Show. I’m going to give you a camera and you’re going to come with me.”

The photographers get to go in the pit, so you’re literally right in front of the stage. They get to go in there for three songs. I had the camera around my neck and I was nervous.

I remember Madonna’s publicist came into a room, she looked at all of us, she gave us all bracelets. Cut to us there in the pit. Madonna comes out, the photographers start taking pictures and I’m the only standing there going “MADONNA, MADONNA!”
I was just screaming and then I would remember that I had to take pictures."

Lindsey Buckingham on his "mythology" with Stevie Nicks

“Extended Play,” a four-song EP with your first new music in 10 years, came out on April 30 and landed in iTunes top 10. How gratifying was it that people were so eager to hear new music?

Even early on, Mick and John and I felt that the songs that we were doing were some of the best stuff we’d done in quite a while.

I am also happy with what it represents with the subject matter. The dialogues to Stevie that are, miraculously, still going on back and forth between Stevie and myself after all these years, I find that to be quite touching and somewhat surprising— something that neither one of us would have predicted years and years ago that we’d still somehow be driving each other’s motivation from a distance, and so I’m very happy with the way the EP turned out and it’s great to be doing some new things on stage.

With piano ballad “It Takes Time,” you’re pleading for patience to someone who wants to heal you. What's that about?

I guess the reflection is that I’m actually looking at some of the actions that I’ve taken over the years and maybe judging them more objectively and maybe getting to a point in one’s life where you can look back and say, “Hmmm, maybe I could have done that differently” and acknowledging that much of the motivation that has driven certain creative actions and certain decisions has come from that dialogue that seems to have unfolded in slow motion over a period of many years. We are still somehow on a road of evolvement.

Is that one about Stevie?

I would think so.

YES to a new Fleetwood Mac album. Stevie, please don't bail.

Sorry, *NSync ... You're NOTHING without Timberlake!

Joey Fatone and Lance Bass’ lunch on April 30th was more than just a couple of old work friends getting together to reminisce about the past – it was to discuss the future, specifically an *NSYNC reunion tour.“Joey and Lance would love to do a farewell tour but know the problem is convincing Justin Timberlake. If Justin said yes JC would be in, in a second. Joey and Lance have been discussing how best to pitch the idea to Justin,” reveals a friend of Lance’s to Naughty But Nice Rob. “It is not about the money, although a reunion tour would make them all a fortune. It’s about performing together again. For the last time, Joey, Lance and JC could experience singing to a sold out arena crowd. They were too young to really enjoy it last time, they would love to experience that thrill one more time.”

Friends of Justin’s say it is not going to happen. Nothing Lance or Joey could say would make him want to tour with the band again, although, maybe a one night special show would not be out of the question.“Justin would be more open to doing a one night only gig, although even that is very unlikely as he is so busy going on tour with Jay-Z and making new music and films,” one record insider says. “Lance and Joey know it’s a long shot and have even thought about doing a reunion without Justin. However, after a few calls to promoters they found out interest in *NSYNC without Justin – is zero!”

Layne Staley's mother SUES Alice in Chains over royalties!

According to the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, the mother of late ALICE IN CHAINS singer Layne Staley has filed a lawsuit against the surviving members of the band, asking for a court order establishing her right to 16 percent of the group's revenue — half of the money due Staley — as well as any of her son's assets currently controlled by the band.

According to the lawsuit, an attorney for ALICE IN CHAINS members Jerry Cantrell and Sean Kinney told Staley's mother, Nancy McCallum, last September that the revenue-sharing agreement that had seen her paid in the decade after the singer's death would be terminated. Band attorney Peter Paterno also alleged in a December 2012 letter that McCallum has tried to trademark the ALICE IN CHAINS name, a move he described as "disturbing."

Staley's former bandmates say the singer's heirs will be able to collect royalties on songs he wrote or co-wrote, while arguing McCallum no longer has a role in the band’s business decisions.

Britney talks Working out, Vegas, Her boys and Album 8 with Mario Lopez.

Britney talked with Extra’s Mario Lopez at Wango Tango about staying in shape, keeping up with her boys and Las Vegas.

Britney, who’s on the latest issue of Shape magazine, says of her fitness: “I really love doing yoga. I have two separate trainers that come in and we play with it. I don’t like doing the same thing all the time, but my main ritual is yoga. I do a lot of yoga.”

Even though she’s in great shape, Britney admits she does eat some unhealthy stuff here and there.

“I love white chocolate, and I love potato chips! I like the salty and sweet.” Mario asked if it is harder to watch what she eats when she is around her kids. “Yes, actually, that is so true. When they come over, the snacks are constantly piling up, and I constantly have to feed them. I’m like, ‘Jesus I want fried chicken too!’”

Britney said her two boys will definitely make it in the industry. “They do like attention, so I think they would probably be good in the limelight. We’re taking baby steps right now as far as agencies and stuff go, but they’re little comedians, so we’ll see.”

The conversation turned to Album 8, where Britney talked about executive producer Will.I.Am. “He is so talented. He keeps it so fresh and so interesting. We’ve done two songs so far, and we have so much fun in the studio.”

Britney will most likely perform songs off Album 8 at her upcoming Las Vegas residency, which she says she’s “excited” for. “I love Vegas any time I get to go there, so I’m pumped. I haven’t done a show in a really long time, so it’ll be fun.”

Is The Beef Over?? Mashonda Posts Ironic Instagram Pic Rocking Alicia Keys-Designed Reeboks!

Maybe it IS all good…
Mashonda Seen Wearing Alicia Keys’ Reeboks

Last we heard, Swizz Beakz’ ex-wife Mashonda was driving the bus that ran over Alicia Keys for claiming she was dating her then-husband while he was separated.

My what a difference a year makes because it appears that Mashonda decided to bring in 2013 with peace and harmony. Last week she was spotted wearing Alicia’s custom designed signature Reeboks in one of her Instagram pics.

Considering how bitter Swizz and Mashonda’s divorce was, and how integral a part Alicia played in it, we are shocked to see her supporting her replacement’s newest business venture.

We have to leave room for the possibility that Mashonda has no idea that the kicks she was wearing are a product of Alicia’s design, but it is an interesting sight to say the least. Maybe the day is fast-approaching where we will see all of Swizz’s baby mamas making nice with each other on some Kumbaya isht, but we won’t hold our breath…

Danity Kane--Screw Diddy We're BACK Without Him

Diddy's gonna be pissed -- TMZ has learned, Danity Kane (the band he created and later destroyed) is reuniting ... without his blessing.

Four original members of the group -- Aubrey O'Day, Shannon Bex, Dawn Richard, and Aundrea Fimbres -- grabbed lunch today in L.A. with a new manager to discuss the reunion ... and sources tell TMZ, it's definitely happening.   We're told they plan to record and tour.

We asked the girls if Diddy was involved this time around ... their response -- "Who's that?"

You'll recall, Diddy created the group back in 2005 during "Making the Band 3" and later signed them to Bad Boy Records. In 2009, Diddy fired the entire group (with the exception of Dawn Richard).

It's unclear who really owns the name "Danity Kane" -- but we're told the girls are going to use it regardless. Translation: you can expect a nasty legal battle.

As for why Diddy eventually gave the group the chop -- there have been all kinds of rumors ... but we're told the girls felt Diddy was screwing them big-time in the money department.

We called Diddy's people -- so far ... no response.

Chris Pine on 'Men's Health' June Cover

Star Trek's leading man—and the Men's Health June cover guy—is no flash in the pan

He's a 32-year-old action movie star headlining two of Hollywood's biggest franchises, Star Trek into Darkness and Jack Ryan, but Chris Pine knows rejection. And dismissal. And paying his dues.

As a kid, he was a talented baseball player, till one year "you're smaller than everyone else and striking out." While waiting for his Hollywood break, he worked a cash register at an L.A. bakery. He flubbed his initial Star Trek audition "as badly as you can imagine," and lost out to Sam Worthington for the role of Jake Sully in Avatar.

And through all of that, he learned how to deal with the negative voices: "You either listen to the naysayers and fall into the pit of self-loathing, or you stay on the path and move forward," he says.

BioWare considering Mass Effect spin-off

With the “Mass Effect” trilogy that followed Commander Shepard now complete, fans may be wondering what is in store for future entries into the series. An interview by OXM on May 12 with the developers of the series has revealed that Bioware is currently discussing numerous possible spin-off projects set inside the “Mass Effect” universe.

Bioware’s Casey Hudson revealed that the fan favorite protagonist for such a spin-off might be Shepard’s Turian pal, Garrus. Hudson had the following to say about the possibility of Garrus getting his own title.

There's so much that could be told in the Mass Effect universe. It'd be cool to do something completely unrelated to the larger storyline, like a story about a private investigator on the Citadel. Or maybe something detailing Garrus' time in C-Sec.

Other candidates considered for their own spin-off series include Aria, Javik, and The Illusive Man. The next “Mass Effect” game is currently in development by Bioware Montreal, but fans might expect to see a number of spin-off games to the franchise.

‘The Congress’ Trailer: Is This Live-Action/Animated Hybrid the Wildest Sci-Fi of 2013?

We’ve been waiting for The Congress, the new film from Waltz With Bashir director Ari Folman, for what feels like a very long time. (In reality, only since 2009.) The film is loosely based upon a story by science fiction grandmaster Stanislaw Lem, but has been adapted to very specifically suit cinema.

The live-action/animated hybrid features Robin Wright as an actress — actually as Robin Wright — whose career is being pronounced dead. And so she sells her likeness to a firm that uses her as a sample source. Wright playing a version of herself is already fairly strange, but then there are the ways that filmmakers use her likeness, which are really out there.

We’ve seen glimpses of the film’s animation before, but what we see here is far beyond what we’ve had a look at in the past. The animation is beautiful, but it’s the combination of everything that makes this look like one of the most visually commanding movies of the year. Will the script be as compelling? Get a taste in the trailer below.

There’s an interesting irony here, as in real life Wright’s career is in a great place right now, thanks to her commanding performance in the show House of Cards. Her career is anything but over; if anything, Wright is helping redefine what an actress can do as she gets out of what Hollywood would consider a woman’s prime years. It’s great to watch.

The Congress premieres soon at Cannes. Kodi Smit-McPhee, Danny Huston, Harvey Keitel and Paul Giamatti also have roles.

A loose adaptation of Stanislaw Lem’s “The Futurological Congress,” a 1971 black humour science fiction detailing the exploits of the hero of a number of his books, Ijon Tichy, as he visits the Eighth World Futurological Congress at the Costa Rica Hilton. The book is Lem’s take on the common sci-fi trope of an apparently Utopian future that turns out to be an illusion.

Demi Lovato says Ariana Grande will be the next big star

In a recent interview with Billboard, 20-year-old phenom Demi Lovato talked X Factor and her album Demi (released May 10). She also revealed her distaste for songs about drinking and partying: “Maybe a couple years ago I would have loved it, but I’m not the same person I was a few years ago. Now when I listen to the radio, I can’t relate to a lot of it.” We’re glad to hear the rehab veteran is firmly on the up-and-up.

When asked who she thought the next big star would be, Demi was unequivocal in her prediction:

“Ariana Grande. She has vocals that are just unbelievable, and I have so much respect for her because she is a true singer. She’s someone that I feel like is going to have a long career because of her voice, and I think she’s going to be a huge name. She’s gonna be great.”

Grande’s star was already firmly on the rise with a couple of hits under her belt, but this endorsement just might shoot her to the moon. Demi is, after all, a professional judge.

Kate Beckinsale spends Mother's Day with ex Michael Sheen and their daughter

Kate Beckinsale and ex Michael Sheen attended a Beatles Tribute Show held at the Pantages on Sunday (May 12) in Hollywood, Los Angeles. The 39-year-old actress and her 44-year-old ex-partner were joined for the Mother’s Day outing by their 14-year-old daughter Lily.

Beckinsale and Sheen split in 2003 after an eight-year relationship. Beckinsale married film director Len Wiseman the following year, but remains close friends with Sheen.

"We were very lucky in that we didn't have an acrimonious split", Beckinsale has said. "We are still very close and Lily sees us around each other. He's absolutely one of my most favourite people ever. I love him dearly—I would miss him dreadfully if he wasn't in my life."

Sheen has said that Beckinsale "will always be one of the most important people in my life."
