Watch One Direction sing "I Want It That Way" by the Backstreet Boys in this video from their Stockholm, Sweden concert.
During the Twitter Q&A, Liam, Louis, Harry, Niall and Zayn were asked "Can you sing Backstreet Boys 'I Want It That Way'? Love!"
Never ones to back down from a challenge, the 1D guys burst into their best BSB cover of the throwback boy band tune.
Okay, so obviously they're not well-rehearsed with the song, but they made the most of it.
Some Backstreet Boys fans have complained and dissed the guys for their performance, but given the on-the-spot request, we think they rose to the challenge pretty well.
No matter if you loved One Direction's "I Want It That Way" cover or hated it, the guys have one vote of confidence--the Backstreet Boys tweeted a link to the video with a compliment, writing:
"Heard @OneDirection did an impromtu performance of "I Want It That Way" in Sweden last night. Well done bros!"
It's the boy band brotherhood!
As The Lone Ranger takes aim at this summer's box office season, producer Jerry Bruckheimer and Johnny Depp have now set their sights on the fifth instalment of the Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise. Hit the jump to find out who is on the short list of directors!
Deadline reveals that a number of directors are being considered by Jerry Bruckheimer and Johnny Depp for Pirates Of The Caribbean 5. The site describes most of these as being "pie in the sky" choices, but three front runners have seemingly emerged in the form of Fredrik Bond (The Necessary Death Of Charlie Countryman), directing duo Joachim Rønning and Espen Sandberg (Kon-Tiki) and Rupert Sanders (Snow White and the Huntsman). Only Sanders' name will likely be familiar to the majority of you, but Rønning and Sandberg are reportedly the names which are most frequently coming up. No offer has been made as of yet however and more meetings are set to go ahead before anything is set in stone. A director WILL be locked in within the next few weeks though, with production set to begin either later this year or early 2014. The last instalment grossed over $1 billion worldwide.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- The road back is not a short one; it's stretched along a timetable that could reach as long as eight months.
Kevin Ware doesn't really see it that way, though. The Louisville player who redefined resilience and optimism during the NCAA tournament is taking the same glass-half-full approach to his rehab.
“I look at it all as motivation," he said. “You can’t finish until you get started.’’
And so Ware is taking baby steps, literally and figuratively, on his right leg, which was brutally fractured during the Cardinals’ win over Duke in the Midwest Regional final on March 31. Just five weeks removed from surgery, he is riding a stationary bike and slowly increasing the amount of pressure and weight he can add to his right side.

Jack Bauer may be back to save the world in a very limited amount of time.
According to Deadline, FOX is considering bringing back its Emmy-winning series, 24, for a limited run next year. Series star Kiefer Sutherland has officially entered early negotiations, though no deals of any kind have been inked.
The report notes that showrunner Howard Gordan would likely return for the series, which would begin an entirely new story arc.
FOX had also attempted to get a big screen version of 24 off the ground, but nothing came of it.
NBC has scaled back its plans to build Jimmy Fallon a new "Tonight Show" studio in New York. According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBC has put a stop to the $25 million studio overhaul for "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon" after months of preparation.
The plan was supposed to combine Studios 6B and 8G for a massive new "Tonight Show" studio. However, Fallon will now get a $5 million makeover of his current home, Studio 6B.
Reports of the New York move and massive makeover originally surfaced in March, even before NBC officially announced Fallon as Jay Leno's "Tonight Show" replacement.
"Saturday Night Live" executive producer Lorne Michaels, who also serves as executive producer on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon," will move over to "The Tonight Show" with Fallon.
NBC officially named Fallon as Leno's successor in early April. "Congratulations Jimmy. I hope you're as lucky as me and hold on to the job until you're the old guy. If you need me, I’ll be at the garage," Leno said in a statement at the time of the announcement.
It's gonna be such a hot mess and I'm already cringing for everyone bound to be screwed over by another inevitable NBC fuckup.
And upfronts madness continues! The CW has announced official pickups for four of its new pilots, joining "Vampire Diaries" spin-off "The Originals" on its schedule. The network, which kept many of its returning series on this year, was expected to pick up a total of five.
[Other shows that got picked up]First up, they picked up "The Tomorrow People," from fan favorite executive producers Julie Plec ("The Vampire Diaries") and Greg Berlanti ("Arrow," "Brothers and Sisters"). Starring Robbie Amell (the cousin of CW leading man Stephen Amell) as a troubled teenage boy who discovers that he has psychic powers, the series is written and executive produced by "Chuck's" Phil Klemmer. Peyton List, Luke Mitchell, and Aaron Yu also star.
"The 100," which takes place after a nuclear war has destroyed civilization, is about a group of 100 juvenile delinquents sent back to Earth to see if it's fit for recolonization. It stars Henry Ian Cusick, Isaiah Washington, Paige Turco, Kelly Hu (YASSSSS), Thomas McDonell, Eli Goree, Eliza Taylor, Christopher Larkin, Marie Avgeropoulos and Bob Morley.
"Friday Night Lights'" Aimee Teegarden and "90210's" Matt Lanter lead "Oxygen," about an alien boy who is sent to high school to assimilate, where he sparks a romance with a human girl. It also stars "Vampire Diaries" fave Malese Jow, Grey Damon, Natalie Hall, Titus Makin Jr., Greg Finley, Maggie Elizabeth Jones and Chelsea Gilligan.
Finally, they picked up period piece "Reign," led by Adelaide Kane, who will play a significant role this summer on "Teen Wolf." She plays 15-year-old Mary Queen of Scots, who arrives in France betrothed to a Prince (Toby Regbo) she's never met. Celina Sinden, Torrance Coombs, Jenessa Grant, Anna Popplewell, Megan Follows, Rossif Sutherland and Caitlin Stasey will also star. It's executive produced by Laurie McCarthy.
ONLY EXCITED FOR MY QUEENS MALESE JOW AND KELLY HU. Also lbr they will only end up keeping like 2 new shows. My money is on The originals and Tomorrow People.
The final eight episodes of Breaking Bad premiere in August, and fans need to prepare themselves to say good-bye to many things, including the word bitch. Aaron Paul estimates he’s sworn, spat, screamed, stammered, muttered, cheered, and cried Jesse’s favorite expletive “at least a few hundred times.” (See also: “Yo.”) And he’s always found Jesse’s overuse of it kinda cute. “It was very endearing,” Paul told Vulture. “He says it in so many different ways, and it has so many different meanings, you know? It’s not always a bad thing!” The Internet has compiled and catalogued but a fraction of the actor’s often hilarious, dead-on line readings. Take for example Jesse’s voice-mail greeting: “Whaddup, bee-yotch? Leave it at the tone.” “I definitely remember that day,” Paul laughed. “We probably did it six or seven times. They wanted me to play with it, and it was just super fun. I think I got more comfortable with saying it and just being in Jesse’s skin over the years. In the beginning, I was still trying to feel out who this guy was.”

It’s been one week and counting since Lindsay Lohan entered rehab, and she may soon be reunited with her parents according to RadarOnline.com.
A source to the site claims that the estranged parents of the troubled starlet, Dina and Michael Lohan, may be summoned to the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, California where the Mean Girls tar is receiving court-ordered treatment.
"Lindsay's counselors want to get Dina and Michael to Betty Ford for a series of sessions in the next few weeks. They feel like having her work through her family issues could help Lindsay’s recovery," the source said.
"Families are encouraged to participate in group therapy," the insider added.
When asked if this was true, Dina Lohan denied the rumor.
"Where did you hear that from? News to me!" she answered when contacted by the website.
Dina and Michael bitterly finalized their highly-publicized divorce in 2007 after 22 years of marriage. They have four children together: Lindsay, 26, Michael Jr., 25, Ali, 19, and Cody, 16.
"I have a warrant for child support against him… he owes thousands in back child support," she said referring to her ex-husband.
Michael claims he has paid Dina the child support in full, and even has a cashier's check as proof.
The couple has remained on the outs since their tumultuous divorce, communicating with each other only through various media outlets.
When asked if he would be willing to attend a family therapy session, Michael was all about it. "I will gladly attend, like I've always wanted to."
“It’s the only thing that will give Lindsay resolve and a chance to finally have her life and both parents back in her life,” He added. “This is about Lindsay, not Dina or me. Our family needs healing and that’s the only way Lindsay is going to beat this.
"I'll be there for anything she needs."
It is yet to be determined whether the family reunion has been confirmed or not and whether it will include any of Lindsay's siblings.
This morning Megan Fox was spotted riding a bike through New York City’s Battery Park but she wasn’t just getting some exercise, she was actually filming scenes for her upcoming movie, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Megan plays reporter April O’Neil in the movie and was once again wearing April’s signature yellow jacket on set.
Megan’s stunt double was also there and appeared to be prepping for a scene with 3 other stuntmen (Turtle stand-ins possibly?)
This afternoon Ninja Turtles will move to Spring St, between Varick and Hudson, in NYC where they are expected to film more scenes (which may also include the turtles in action).

The dust has FINALLY settled in Terrence Howard's bitter divorce -- a judge finalized the split this week, TMZ has learned ... and the "Red Tails" actor made off like a bandit in the property settlement.
According to the divorce order obtained by TMZ, Terrence gets the lion's share of marital property -- including both houses in Pennsylvania and all 25 of his bank accounts.
And the embarrassing part ... Terrence's ex Michelle Ghent has been ordered to return the actor's 2011 Range Rover. (She gets to keep her bike ... and a BMW).
Terrence was ordered to pay Michelle $5,800 a month in spousal support for the next three years -- not a huge sum for someone of Terrence's means. Bottom line: He scored big.
You'll recall, Michelle filed for divorce in February 2011 -- a year after their wedding -- and the split was nasty ... with Michelle accusing Terrence of viciously beating her ... and Terrence accusing her of being a disgusting racist.
When Tom Hardy played Heathcliff to Charlotte Riley’s Cathy in ITV's adaptation of Wuthering Heights in 2009, their passion continued off screen and the pair were soon engaged. Sadly, the actors’ love story seems to have come to no more of a happy ending than that of Emily Brontë’s characters.
Mandrake hears that the couple's wedding has been put on hold. It is said that Hardy, 35, who played Bane in the Batman film The Dark Knight Rises, is being comforted by Noomi Rapace, the 33-year-old star of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.
( Collapse )Last year, the Hammersmith-born Hardy told me that Riley, who starred in the Channel 4 series World Without End, was “a difficult woman to pin down” when it came to choosing a wedding date. “You’d have to ask Charlotte when we’re getting married,” he said. “She’s always so busy with work.”
Riley, 31, who will appear opposite Tom Cruise in the big-budget film All You Need Is Kill, responded in January: “That’s not true at all. He’s a cheeky bugger. We are desperate to do it, but I’ll never have a celebrity wedding. It will be low key, with family and friends.”
She was nowhere to be seen last week when Hardy and Rapace attended a gala dinner hosted by Denise Rich for her Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation, at Battersea Power Station. The pair stayed close together throughout the evening and could be seen cuddling while the pop star Jessie J performed songs. They later left together.
Hardy is currently shooting the Hollywood thriller Animal Rescue with Noomi, who divorced her fellow Swedish actor Ola Rapace in 2011 after 10 years of marriage. She and Hardy are due to appear together again, in Sir Ridley Scott’s film Child 44.
Riley shared a home in London with Hardy, who has a son Louis, aged four, from a relationship with Rachael Speed. He and Speed met when she was an assistant director on The Virgin Queen.
He was previously married to Sarah Ward, a producer, but the couple divorced in 2004 after five years of marriage when his drink and drugs problem spiralled out of control.
A spokesman for Riley declines to comment. Hardy’s spokesman was unavailable.
If this is true it's sad, he and Charlotte were adorable.

Even if you're too short to join the Galactic Empire as a Stormtrooper, at least you can still see yourself as one with the magic of 3D scanning and printing. For $99.95, visitors to Florida's Walt Disney World during "Star Wars" Weekends (running each weekend from May 17 to June 9) can immortalize themselves as a 7.5-inch-tall Stormtrooper figurine. In some ways, it's probably a better deal than being a real Stormtrooper. They usually end up getting vaporized aboard a Death Star or miss every shot they fire at fleeing Rebels.
Created by Disney Research, the scanning process only requires about 10 minutes of exposure to a high-resolution single-shot 3D face scanner. From there, the image of your visage goes off to a 3D printer and the finished figurine arrives on your doorstep some 7-8 weeks later. There's also a carbon-freeze option for those who want to see themselves in a block of Bespin's finest without dealing with that crummy hibernation sickness. [Warning: This story contains major spoilers from Thursday's episode of Grey's Anatomy. Read at your own risk!]
Grey's Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes did warn Calzona fans in advance. Several warnings, in fact. So it should not have come as such a huge, jaw-dropping surprise in Thursday's episode that Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) did, in fact, cheat on Callie (Sara Ramirez). Alas, we're still heartbroken.
When Dr. Lauren Boswell (Hilarie Burton) came to the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, she pretty much immediately set her sights on Arizona, openly flirting with the married doctor (and mother), even in front of her wife, Callie! Even though Arizona (sort of) rebuffed her advances last week, Arizona gave in this week, kissing Lauren in an on-call room when the power went out and then locking the door for, well, you know. TVGuide.com turned to Capshaw to get her reaction to the big development and find out what's next for Calzona:

In the interview, the Sports Illustrated swimsuit model spoke candidly about the struggles of having curves while living in the size-0 supermodel world.
Referring to the online commenters who've called Upton "fat," she told Vogue, "It was hard at first. You sit there and you’re like ‘Is something wrong with me?'"
She continued, “The things that they’re rejecting are things that I can’t change. I can’t change my bra size. They’re natural! I can work out and I can stay healthy and motivated, but I can’t change some things."

If, over the past week, you've seen people reading The Great Gatsby everywhere — at the park, on the subway, at the movie theater during the opening credits — it's not in preparation for this weekend's release of Baz Luhrmann's adaptation of the F. Scott Fitzgerald classic. No, no, old sports. It's because Stephen Colbert told them to. Filling in the void of Oprah's Book Club, The Colbert Report host kicked off his inaugural cOlbert book club with the beloved novel. (First rule of cOlbert's book club? "Don't read Fight Club!"). The only problem is that, like pretty much everyone who has ever joined any book club, Colbert wound up sipping chardonnay and not reading the book at all.
While he certainly looked the part (watch out, Leo, Stephen makes a pretty great Gatsby himself) he still had no idea what the book was about, rendering him unable to discuss it with his guest, Pulitzer Prize-winning author Jennifer Egan (A Visit From the Goon Squad). With time running down, he recruited Gatsby's leading lady Carey Mulligan ... after all, she would have had to have read the book, right? Right?!
Wrong! Don't be fooled by her beauty, grace, intelligence, and brilliant acting skills. It's all a front! (Damn British accents). Turns out, Mulligan actually can't read and has no idea what's going on in her movies (as evident by her confusing the ending of Gatsby with that of Drive). There's only thing to remedy such a situation: ride the Reading Rainbow all the way to LeVar Burton! Who needs to read when you can just look through Burton's Star Trek VISOR, anyway?
As far as Colbert book segments go, this one might be on par with his visit with the late, great Maurice Sendak. From his keen analysis of The Great Gatsby ("Couldn't you boil this book down to, 'Bitches be crazy'?") to a heard-but-not-seen cameo by James Franco, here's to hoping Colbert doesn't make his book club a one-time venture. The Hobbit seems like the obvious next choice.

Amanda Berry OBE, Chief Executive of BAFTA, said: ''There are only a handful of programmes that have the quality and longevity of 'Doctor Who' and the ability to put the nation on their sofas - or indeed behind them - year after year. “Ansel is whip-smart and uber-charismatic and everything I dreamed for Augustus Waters,” John Green tells EW in an exclusive statement. “I am by nature a cautious pessimist, but I’ll just say it: Now that we have Shailene and Ansel, I am completely, unreservedly psyched about this movie.”
Director Josh Boone tells EW: “Ansel Elgort is the epitome of the boy John Green brought to life so vividly in his novel and he truly embodies the character traits we admire so much about Gus. His humor, sensitivity, honesty and confidence floored us. Watching him with Shailene was like seeing the film for the first time. Hearing then say okay to each other was incredibly moving. We couldn’t be more thrilled to have found our Gus.” Elgort, 19, will be seen in the remake of Carrie this fall and is currently at work playing Caleb Prior alongside Woodley (who plays his sister) on Divergent—adapted from the Veronica Roth bestseller. Says The Fault in Our Stars producer Wyck Godfrey: ”We were all swept away by the humor, charm, and aching vulnerability Ansel brought to his portrayal of Gus. His performance completely annihilated our concerns about his playing Caleb in Divergent with Shailene, and we are confident that the fans of Fault will fall in love with him the same way that Hazel does–slowly, and then all at once.”

Maxim magazine knows a thing or two about beautiful women. The men's magazine's executive editor Patrick Carone joined us in the FOX411 studio to reveal just how former tween queen Miley Cyrus took the top spot on Maxim's 2013 Hot 100 list.
“We went for Miley for a variety of reasons. First and foremost the Hot 100 over the last few years, actually specifically the last two years, we’ve actually had voting online and so we’ve put a bunch of women we think would be contenders on Maxim.com and we just have our readers go online and vote," Carone said. "Miley just annihilated."
Carone said Miley's vote-in landslide was due to a series of factors.
“The voting for her was absolutely tremendous, and then it doesn’t hurt she’s extremely cute. She’s young and she has her whole career ahead of her and I think really the thing with Miley that we love so much is she’s a global, international force," he said. "Like she’s the kind of person who cuts her hair and it’s literally news in Japan and India. Everyone is fascinated by her love life. We’ve grown up with her. We’ve seen her turn from kind of a young girl into this beautiful woman and we really can’t get ‘Party in the U.S.A’ out of our heads.”
Miley was so excited to be number one spot, she Instagramed to the world five days before Maxim officially announced the news, “I’m so happy to be #1 on Maxim’s HOT 100.” Although she stole some of Maxim's thunder, Carone said Maxim was happy Miley was so enthusiast about her win
“Well it’s sort of the thing that we’re happy that people are excited about it and we’re happy specifically that she’s excited. You know the fact is she wouldn’t have done it if she didn’t care," Carone said. "A lot of times especially when you have people at this level you always wonder if maybe their handlers do everything. Michael Jackson in some weird room, in some corner where people feed them meals, nothing really happens. But Miley is a real living breathing woman, and she got excited. We named her the hottest woman in the entire world so we can’t really blame her. She got a little overzealous.”
I have always been an admirer of Gwyneth Paltrow, I am not afraid to admit it. She was so good in my favorite movie, A Perfect Murder. I also think her secondary career as a lifestyle guru is rather inspiring. If there wasn't a GOOP, I would not have an eye-mask that has hollow indentations so that your eyes can blink.
When Gwyneth came out with her newest cookbook, It’s All Good, I was really excited. I have her other cookbook, My Father's Daughter, already. It is a really good cookbook for the average woman (me). There are some healthy recipes and there are some delicious recipes. One time I had a dinner party and I made beer-battered fish tacos from that book and everyone liked them. This is saying a lot because usually my dinner parties are miserable failures in which people start ordering sushi in front of me like I'm not even there.

Beloved Egyptian singer, Shereen, and internationally renowned hip-hop superstar, Nelly, come together to create a fusion where Egyptian vocals and oriental beats meet hip-hop and R&B.
“It was very funny,” Kit tells AccessHollywood.com of the show’s most recent “GOT”-themed sketch, which had its cast playing contestants, competing in a “Game of Thrones” game. “I’m a big Zach Galifianakis fan, so I just found it hilarious, and Nikolaj [Coster-Waldau, who made a cameo in it] was funny.”
Just a year ago, “SNL” player Taran Killam actually impersonated the Englishman in another sketch about the drama, and down the phone line from Canada (where he’s been shooting the film “Pompeii”) Kit admits to Access he found Taran’s work to be on point.
“I saw that other one they did and it’s a horribly accurate impression of me,” he laughs.
As for Kit’s work — his portrayal of Jon Snow has not only been accurate, but compelling. From Season 1, Kit’s Jon has fit in closely with the Jon of George R.R. Martin’s “A Song of Ice and Fire” novels: a young man who grew up in a noble family (but without the perks of their name), suffered emotional abuse at the hands of his stepmother, and left home determined to live up to an idealized version of nobility he couldn’t have in the Seven Kingdoms, by dedicating the rest of his life to the Night’s Watch.
It didn’t quite turn out the way Jon planned. He entered into the Wildling camp at the start of Season 3, and later, broke his chastity vow for a feisty, flame-haired woman named Ygritte. And for those who haven’t read, “A Storm of Swords,” and don’t know what’s on the way, Kit’s put a real question in TV watchers’ minds over where Jon’s loyalties lie.
One place it was clear they do exist is in self-preservation. After Orell tried to cut the rope holding Jon and Ygritte hundreds of feet above the ground in last Sunday’s “The Climb” episode, Jon managed to save himself and his girl with some quick thinking. And in our new interview with the actor, Kit told Access about preparing to film the epic, action-packed scene, Jon’s feelings for Ygritte and the trouble that lies ahead for his character as the season continues.( Collapse )

Sorry, Gus Van Sant. Apparently the proof-of-concept scene you shot with Alex Pettyfer did not convince Universal and Focus Features you are the man to direct the feature adaptation Fifty Shades of Grey, because they are still looking. THR reports that Joe Wright (Anna Karenina) has emerged as a frontrunner to direct Fifty Shades. Given its reputation, I am surprised the project is attracting acclaimed directors. But Wright makes sense as a candidate, continuing his relationship with Focus Features after Pride & Prejudice, Atonement, Hanna, and Anna Karenina. Wright has recently been linked to the Neil Gaiman adaptation The Ocean at the End of the Lane and a Houdini biopic.Kelly Marcel is adapting E.L. James‘ novel about a literature student who “embarks on a daring, passionately physical affair” with young entrepreneur Christian Grey.
And then there was one. CBS have cancelled CSI: New York, which ran for nine seasons. This leaves the original CSI as the only one of the mega-hit franchise left.
This wasn't a surprising move, as CSI: NY had been getting increasingly lower ratings and CBS had already cancelled CSI: Miami a year ago.
While the original CSI also isn't the ratings juggernaut it once was, it still is a decent performer for CBS and has been renewed for Season 14, airing this fall.
CSI: New York is the first of CBS's "bubble" shows to be cancelled, with Rules of Engagement and Golden Boy still undecided.
Vegas has also been cancelled by CBS. With so many hit series and a ton of high profile new shows just ordered, it's looking unlikely any of the show's still not renewed will be at this point.
The network released the following statement…
TNT has made the difficult decision not to renew Southland for another season. We are enormously proud of Southland, which stands as one of the best police dramas ever made. Executive producers John Wells, Chris Chulack and Jonathan Lisco, along with creator Ann Biderman and our partners at Warner Bros. Television, have given us five seasons of powerful, unforgettable storytelling, for which we are deeply grateful. We also want to thank the amazing cast for their impassioned, no-holds-barred performances, and the production team for their tenacity shooting on the streets of real-world Los Angeles. We wish everyone associated with Southland the very best.

NBC has cancelled Matthew Perry’s rookie comedy Go On, TVLine has confirmed.
Matthew Perry can’t catch a post-Friends break: NBC decided to pass on a second season of Go On, a single camera comedy that starred Perry as a grief-stricken radio sportscaster.
What has survived? NBC renewed Parks & Recreation for a sixth season today. Parks is NBC’s best-performing show on Thursday night’s after The Office, though it has an average adults 18-49 rating that’s less than one third of CBS’ Thursday leader The Big Bang Theory (2.0 vs. 6.2).
NBC announced earlier that it will partly restock its lineup with a few new comedies. Highlights include Sean Hayes in Sean Saves the World, about a guy who must figure out how to parent his 14-year-old daughter, and a TV series version of the 2002 film About a Boy, starring David Walton as a bachelor whose primary goal in life is avoiding any kind of responsibility until he meets a geeky young boy.
But NBC will have a tough time regaining its former legendary Thursday night comedy dominance. CBS made serious inroads into the evening with Big Bang and Two and a Half Men frequently ruling the 8 p.m. hour. Recently CBS experimented with putting repeats of other comedies into the 9 p.m. hour, raising the possibility of a full-scale two-hour comedy invasion into the evening next fall.
Expect more NBC and CBS prime-time moves over the next several days as broadcasters prepare for their upfront presentations in New York City next week. NBC will announce its new fall schedule on Sunday and CBS will unveil its plans on Wednesday.
EDIT: About Community and Hannibal:
CBS was number 1 in adults 18-49 and with Total Viewers.
On CBS, The Big Bang Theory scored a 4.6, down three tenths from last week's 4.9 adults 18-49 rating. Two and a Half Men earned a 3.4, up two tenths from last week's 3.2 adults 18-49. Person Of Interest was even with last week's series low 2.4 adults 18-49 rating. Elementary fell to a new series low with a 1.8, down two tenths from last week's series low 2.0.

Oh dear, Hannibal :(

Mark Ruffalo has more than paid his dues to get to where he is in Hollywood now -- another Avengers movie in the works, and an action-packed flick with Woody Harrelson and Morgan Freeman set to release this summer. But the actor tells the June issue of Men's Journal that he couldn't have made it this far without the support of his late, younger brother Scott, a married hairdresser. "I was the actor pushing 30 and still doing 30-seat theaters," he told the magazine of the brothers' humble beginnings in L.A., "and he was the mayor of Beverly Hills. For years, people would meet me and go, 'You're Scotty Ruffalo's brother? I love your brother. He's f--king amazing.'" Scott, whom Ruffalo referred to as a "beautiful guy," was murdered at his Beverly Hills home on Dec. 1, 2008 in what is, to this day, still an unsolved case. At the time, his body was found with a gunshot wound to his head and a gun in his left hand, according to the Los Angeles Times. He was 39. READ MORE AFTER THE CUT ( Collapse )
This Monday is NBC's Upfront, where they tout their new 2013-2014 lineup. Generally, by the time a network is holding their Upfront, that's it for making decisions on renewals and cancellations and we know the final fate of all the series on a given network. But that may not be the case for Hannibal. While fans (myself included) anxiously wait to hear if the show will be back, the show's creator, Bryan Fuller, says NBC may hold off on the decision.
Regarding a potential renewal, Fuller tells Buzzfeed, “We have no idea. We may not even know for another week or so. They’re being very close to the vest. But they’re saying Bob Greenblatt doesn’t want to make a decision right away. So we may not hear until next week, or the week after. It’s hard to say.”
Really? Even though Greenblatt, NBC’s chairman of entertainment, will be announcing the new schedule on Monday?
“Yeah,” Fuller said. “They won’t announce us being picked up or canceled by Monday is what we’re being told.”
I asked a spokeswoman at NBC to confirm that Fuller’s understanding of the timetable is true. I have not heard back from her with an answer.
Hannibal premiered in early April with ratings that were not strong, but, as I wrote at the time, were not a disaster. They’ve since lowered, though the show does better when DVR usage is added to its totals. It’s possible that Greenblatt and his team want to give the show more time, since it’s gotten some critical acclaim.
Or we’ll find out Monday or this weekend. In which case, I will feel stupid! It won’t be the first time.
While it's unusual for a network to not make a final call on a show by Upfronts, it isn't unprecedented. Just last year, CBS had not made a final decision on whether they were bringing Rules of Engagement back by the time of their Upfront, ultimately renewing it a few weeks later.

Inspired and created by Nicki herself, the Trinidadian-born rapper and style icon is putting everything she has into the aesthetic design of her clothing line for Kmart.
Throughout the creative process, Barbz has been great about keeping her fans posted on what she's working on via Twitter.
This week alone, she's already leaked many photos of pieces from the collection, including a photo of a bandage style bodycon dress she's calling "Freak'um" and a hot pink bejeweled cap.
From what we've already seen and what we know about Nicki, expect her typical go-to's, i.e. silk jumpsuits, bra tops, leopard prints, bold patterns, neon pops of color, and the infamous boob windows.

Shenae Grimes, of the recently canceled "90210," has married musician Josh Beech.
The TV actress, 23, tied the knot Friday morning just outside London and made the announcement on Twitter.
"I now pronounce us Mr. and Mrs. Beech! Ahhh! Xx @iamjoshbeech," posting a picture of herself smooching her new husband.
Beech, 26, simply dubbed it a "huge day" on Twitter.
The low-key wedding took place at a countryside Tudor manor, Us Weekly reports. And the bride wore a black Vera Wang halter ball gown and carried a bouquet of red flowers, according to E! News.
The series finale of "90210," a reboot of the '90s drama "Beverly Hills, 90210," will air on the CW on Monday, ending its five-season run. Grimes, who got her start on Canadian teen series "Degrassi," recently said that after the show she plans to pursue another of her former paths: fashion. She used to intern for Teen Vogue and Canada's Fashion Television, according to Us.
"I'm going to do that more heavily. And [Josh and I] really want to collaborate on more things in the future. We're starting to plant those seeds now," she said.
Grimes, who devotes much of her personal blog to sartorial fare, recently announced that she and Beech have collaborated on a jewelry line that she'll launch through his clothing company Cut and Run.
The couple also got coordinating neck tattoos of each other's names in February.
Here's hoping their new marriage is as indelible as that ink.

Fifty years of Doctor Who will be celebrated by The British Academy of Film and Television Arts at their annual BAFTA television awards ceremony, it has been revealed.
A special video montage celebrating the long history of Doctor Who will be included as part of the ceremony, and Jenna Coleman – the Doctor’s current companion Clara – will present one of the night’s awards.
Two Daleks will also be seen patrolling the BAFTA red carpet, among the illustrious guests arriving for the ceremony hosted by Graham Norton.
Amanda Berry OBE, Chief Executive of BAFTA, said: “There are only a handful of programmes that have the quality and longevity of Doctor Who and the ability to put the nation on their sofas – or indeed behind them – year after year. BAFTA raises a toast to Doctor Who on its 50th birthday this year.”
Steven Moffat, Doctor Who’s Lead Writer and Executive Producer, said: "This is a massive and exciting year for Doctor Who, so I'm thrilled that BAFTA are including a special tribute to the show. So thrilled, in fact, we're sending the Doctor's best friend, Jenna Coleman, to present an award. We're also sending the Doctor’s worst enemy, the Daleks, to exterminate lots of innocent people. Sorry, it's just what they do. Let us know if it's a Health and Safety issue."
The Arqiva British Academy Television Awards will be hosted by Graham Norton at the Royal Festival Hall, London, and broadcast in the UK on BBC One, 8pm on Sunday 12 May.
Females are flocking to see Baz Luhrmann's ebullient adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's classic novel starring Leonardo DiCaprio. Baz Luhrmann's The Great Gatsby grossed a stellar $3.3 million in Thursday night runs, suggesting that the summer's second tentpole after Iron Man 3 could open to $45 million or more.
The movie's Thursday night run beat the midnight performance of previous female-fueled films, including fellow Warner Bros. film Sex and the City 2 ($3 million). Comparisons are complicated, however, since Hollywood studios are now opening their films before midnight. Gatsby did race past the $2 million earned Thursday night by Oz the Great and Powerful.
Continuing to add to their series orders for 2013-14, NBC has picked up the contemporary adaptation of the 1960s crime drama Ironside starring Blair Underwood.
My generation will no doubt remember the old TV show on, back in the late 60's to the mid-70's or so. It was a huge hit for the network. If you remember it, I'll bet you will also remember the show's theme music. And I'll also bet that it's even been sampled by rappers.
Starring Raymond Burr, who already was a TV icon for playing lawyer Perry Mason, Ironisde was a detective series in which Burr played a tough big city cop who was shot and left paralyzed from the waist down, from an assassination attempt; and with a group of young able-bodied assistants, he solved hard crimes plaguing the city.
Now NBC has decided that what worked in the past can work again, and cast Blair Underwood in a reboot of Ironside. It'll be his first TV series gig since the failed sci-fi NBC series The Event.
Interestingly, this kind of shows you how have things have changed... somewhat. On the old show, there was a black character, played by Don Mitchell, whose basic job was to push Ironside around in his wheelchair. Now, this time, it's the black guy who's boss, who gets pushed around.
This is part of the development/talent holding agreement Underwood signed with NBC/Universal TV last year.
Here's the logline NBC has for the reboot: A remake of the 1960s series that starred Raymond Burr. The reboot stars Blair Underwood as a tough, sexy but acerbic police detective relegated to a wheelchair after a shooting who, hardly limited by his disability, he pushes and prods his hand-picked team to solve the most difficult cases in the city.
The cast includes Spencer Grammer, Brent Sexton, Pablo Schreiber, Neal Bledsoe, and Kenneth Choi.
The series is written and exec produced by Michael Caleo (Rescue Me, The Sopranos), exec produced by David Semel, Teri Weinberg, John Davis, and Jon Fox.
I like a few of the cast members, so I'm really looking forward to this.
Do CBS executives want another Chuck Lorre sitcom on their schedule next season?
Of course they do!
The network has given Lorre’s Mom pilot a series order, along with three other shows. Mom follows a newly sober single mom (Anna Faris) tries to pull her life together in Napa Valley with help from her mom (Allison Janney).
Given that Lorre produces CBS hits Big Bang Theory, Two and a Half Men and Mike & Molly, his new project getting an order was considered one of the safest pilot season bets (along with ABC’s TV-sized Avengers-verse show from Joss Whedon, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.).
CBS also picked up:
– The Millers, starring Will Arnett, about a divorced guy whose life gets more complicated when his parents have marital problems.
– Crazy Ones, starring Robin Williams and Sarah Michelle Gellar in a father daughter workplace comedy set in the world of advertising.
– We Are Men, about a young guy finds camaraderie living among the more experienced guys he meets in a short-term rental complex. This one stars Chris Smith, Kal Penn, Tony Shalhoub and Jerry O’Connell.
YAAAAAY! Can't wait to see Sarah every week again!
While there are a handful of films I adored at Sundance Film Festival this year (namely Before Midnight, Ain’t Them Bodies Saints, The Spectacular Now and Upstream Color), no film seemed to connect more with audiences than Fruitvale Station. The directorial debut of Ryan Coogler picked up the top honors, including Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award, and now we’ve got the first trailer today.

Lisa Marie Presley played Michael Jackson like a "Smooth Criminal" when she blindsided the King of Pop with a divorce filing, after she convinced him to hold off from filing first.
That bombshell is the latest nugget to come to light in the Jackson family's wrongful death lawsuit with concert promoter AEG Live.
It was revealed Thursday by Karen Faye, Jackson's longtime hair and makeup artist. During Faye's testimony, the jurors we shown several photos of her with Jackson, including a shot taken in January 1996, the day after the King of Rock 'n' Roll's daughter filed for divorce from Jackson.
Faye testified that Jackson was upset after Presley blindsided him with a divorce filing, after she asked him not to file.
"She begged and begged, saying please don't file," Faye said, according to a CNN report. To appease his estranged wife, Jackson promised not to file. Yet "the next morning it was all over the press that she filed before him," Faye said.
Indeed, when news of the divorce first broke, a publicist for Jackson claimed he knew nothing about it.
In an effort to control the negative press, the Jackson camp issued a photo of him with Faye. It "was to give the press something to talk about" with Faye being "the mysterious blonde," she said.
Calls and emails to Lisa Marie's press representatives weren't immediately returned.
Jackson and Presley married in 1994, just 20 days after she divorced her first husband Danny Keough. The marriage, which brought together two generations of pop royalty, was such a big event that MTV opened the 1994 Video Music Awards with the couple onstage sharing a kiss. "Just think, nobody thought this would last," Jackson famously said, before kissing his then-bride.
Although they divorced in 1996, in a 2010 interview with Oprah Winfrey, Presley said that she and Jackson tried to reconcile for four years following their split and often traveled the world to be together.
Okay, we didn't see this coming. At all. At only sixteen years old, Chloe Moretz is already looking to push the envelope with the roles she'll take on, featuring in the grimy indie "Hick" (which by all accounts was pretty awful) while this fall she'll reign in terror as "Carrie". But taking the part of a young prostitute? Like we said, didn't see this one coming...
Nothing is confirmed just yet, but Deadline reports that the offer has been made to Moretz to take the role of Teri, the female lead, in Sony's long developing "The Equalizer" with Denzel Washington set to star, and Antoine Fuqua to direct. No, this isn't the idea of some pervy studio exec, but Moretz participated in a table read for the part, and apparently impressed Washington and everyone else in the room. The part was originally slated for a twenty-something actor, but Moretz was so good it's her they want instead, and the role is being compared to Jodie Foster's in "Taxi Driver", because what else are they going to compare it to?
We can only imagine this might raise a few eyebrows, so it'll be interesting to see how it all plays out. According to Deadline, the movie is still being aimed for an April 11, 2014 release, but considering that's less than a year away, and Moretz also has Lynn Shelton's "Laggies" on her plate, something tells us that might change.

One of pilot season’s easiest calls is now official: ABC has picked up Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., geek god Joss Whedon‘s TV offshoot of the Avengers feature films.

The cast for S.H.I.E.L.D. — which follows a worldwide law enforcement organization that polices the new, the strange and the unknown — includes ER alum Ming-Na (as former soldier Melinda May), Clark Gregg (reprising his big-screen Avengers role as Agent Phil Coulson), Nashville’s Chloe Bennet (as superhero culture-obsessed Skye), British beauty Elizabeth Henstridge (science expert Gemma Simmons), Scotsman Iain De Caestecker (tech whiz Leo Fitz) and Brett Dalton (rising star Agent Grant).

Father John Misty wrote a novel, and now he's writing love songs.
Known to many as the former drummer for Fleet Foxes, Joshua Tillman (the name he was born with) has actually been a solo artist since 2004, releasing a slew of introspective, quasi-intellectual records as "J. Tillman" that helped satisfy both his poetic and melodic inclinations. But it wasn't until Tillman started to attempt the next great American literary masterpiece that he realized he'd just rather be making music.
"Part of writing for me was the realization that I just want to make songs," says Tillman via phone from Los Angeles, fresh off an appearance at Coachella. "That's how I speak best for myself. I don't want to write novels. At best, that's what these other dalliances lead me back to, the realization that I really want to write songs and sing the hell out of them."

NBC has renewed Community as the Joel McHale starrer continues to march toward its "six seasons and a movie."
The beleaguered cult favorite will continue on for a fifth season, NBC announced Friday. The news comes a day after the Thursday comedy wrapped its fourth season, even year-over-year with a 1.3 rating in the advertiser-coveted adults 18-49 demographic and tying American Idol among adults 18-34.
While Community will continue, it will do so without co-star Chevy Chase, who exited the show in November following a roller-coaster relationship with the NBC series as he grew frustrated with the direction his character was taking. Most recently in October, the actor used an N-word on-set when questioning dialog in a scene, then "immediately" apologized to the cast.
The pickup also comes ahead of Community's syndicated debut in the fall on Comedy Central, with repeats potentially helping to lift the series the way TBS' encores have helped push CBS' The Big Bang Theory to new heights in its sixth season.
Despite being initially left off the network's midseason lineup for the second time, the series received a vote of confidence from NBC Entertainment chairman Bob Greenblatt earlier this year when he touted that the community college comedy would have more heart under new showrunners David Guarascio and Moses Port. The duo took over from series creator Dan Harmon this season, with some critics of the Sony Pictures Television vehicle giving season four mixed results, some noting Community had lost the edge it had under Harmon.
For NBC's part, the Community news as the network reinvents its comedy brand, with the community college series joining Parks and Recreation as its lone returning half-hours for 2013-14. All of its freshman comedies -- save for Ryan Murphy's semi-autobiographical entry The New Normal and summer effort Save Me -- have failed to earn second seasons, though Save Me is not expected to return. NBC on Friday dropped Matthew Perry's Go On, which was considered the rookie most likely to continue.
Meanwhile, NBC continues to add new comedies including The Michael J. Fox Show, Sean Saves the World, Undateable and The Family Guide, which just lost co-star Parker Posey.
Great news from ABC: The network has ordered additional seasons of its soapy dramas Nashville, Scandal and Grey’s Anatomy, as well as another year of Castle.
The network also picked up the new comedy Super Fun Night, a Rebel Wilson starrer about a junior attorney and her two best friends, who have a standing date every Friday night for the last 13 years. The comedy was written and produced by Wilson and is executive produced by Conan O’Brien and David Kissinger.
ABC has decided not to renewed struggling, yet well-liked ensemble comedy Happy Endings.
In addition, ABC has decided not to bring back Dana Delany’s crime drama Body of Proof for a fourth season, or Reba McEntire’s sitcom Malibu Country or thriller Red Widow for second seasons....
USA is also considering picking up the ABC comedy “Happy Endings” — assuming ABC cancels it. USA would get original episodes as well as repeats of those already produced for ABC. Mr. Wachtel called that “an interesting model” to pursue.

Taking a better-late-than-never approach, ABC has officially renewed nearly a dozen shows for the 2013-14 TV season, including rookie drama Nashville and established hits Grey’s Anatomy, Scandal, Revenge, The Middle, Modern Family, Castle and Once Upon a Time.
Sophomore bubble comedies Suburgatory and Last Man Standing also have been picked up. Freshman sitcom The Neighbors is also set to return.
On the cancellation front, Malibu Country, Body of Proof, How to Live With Your Parents (for the Rest of Your Life), Family Tools, Red Widow and Happy Endings have been axed (full story on H.E.‘s demise here).
Since splitting from Will Arnett last September, after nine years of marriage, Poehler, 41, has been single, taking care of sons Archie, 4, and Abel, 2.
Now she's dating comic Nick Kroll, who stars in his own Kroll Show on Comedy Central, a source confirms to PEOPLE.

STRUGGLE: The singer admits that when people don't like her music it 'makes her want to drink again'
She has openly spoken about having a drinking problem in her teens which led her to give up alcohol completely. But despite being sober for over eight years now Lana Del Rey has admitted there are times when she could be tempted to turn to her old demons once more.
Opening up to FASHION Magazine the 27-year-old revealed that getting a lack of respect for her work makes her ‘want to drink again.’ She said: ‘If you are born an artist, you have no choice but to fight to stay an artist. ‘I feel like my work’s important, but I don’t always feel like I get respect for it…when I feel like people don’t like [my] music and that the 10 years I spent making what I made was not for a good reason, that makes me want to drink again.’

The show is over for Smash, which has officially been canceled.
After a stunningly dismal return to the schedule, the rebooted drama under new showrunner Josh Safran was bumped to Saturdays in March. Despite the infusion of scores of Broadway stars and cameos from Rosie O'Donnell and Liza Minelli, among others, the series is averaging a measly 0.8 among adults 18-49 and just under 3 million total viewers -- a far cry from its freshman run.
In a nod to the value of the project to network entertainment president Bob Greenblatt, NBC will air all 17 episodes of Smash, with Safran acknowledging that the final episode was crafted as a "series finale."
