Best telenovela villains.

Wanting it or not a lot of us grew up watching, or seeing someone watch a telenovela and villains are the best part of them. Many times we don't remember the story or who played the good girl but we always remember the bamf that made her suffer, here are some of the most notable with their long names, the craziest and over the top scenes.

Soraya Montenegro de La Vega Montalbán by Itatí Cantoral in María la del Barrio

Basically she was in love with Luis Fernando and his family money and he obviously falls in love with the good and poor new girl that comes to live at his house so her obsession in life is to destry them. With mommy issues, she is over the top, loud, and ridiculous; she even returns from the death.
Trademark: crazy yelling I guess, like: Marginal!, ¿qué haces besando a la lisiada?, tú no eres mi madre.

Another Episode of "There Was An Attempt: Kim's Pregnancy Style"

Taking a break from filming, Kim Kardashian stopped off for a frozen treat at Sweets Harts on Wednesday (April 3) in Sherman Oaks.

The on-the-go reality star relaxed in a beige maxi dress as she savored her cold delight and chatted with friends inside the shop.

Though she is eager to get her divorce proceedings under way, Kim will have to wait until May 6 to do so.

According to a report from TMZ, the socialite had put in a request to move the trial date to May 3 to better work with her schedule.

The judge, however, denied the mom-to-be’s request saying that it did not work for her soon-to-be-ex Kris Humphries.

Kim had been penciled in to be in New York City on the 6th to attend a promotional event for her new fragrance.

Amanda Bynes gets harassed by the paparazzi on her birthday, turns camera on them

Amanda Bynes said she moved to New York to escape the paparazzi in Los Angeles — but she obviously isn’t doing a good job.
The former child star has been attracting a lot of attention while walking New York’s busy streets.
On Wednesday, which happened to be her 27th birthday, the star was dressed in sweat pants, sandals, a T-shirt and a parka.
A New Yorker couldn’t help himself — he had to point out the irony that Amanda has a story in In Touch this week that asks the question: “What Happened To This Child Star?”
Amanda, obviously tired from all the attention, decided to turn the camera on the paparazzi.
Here’s a tip to Amanda if she doesn’t want to create press – don’t tweet Drake telling him you want him to “murder my vagina.”

One Direction on junk food ban!

One Direction have apparently been banned from eating junk food by their trainer while on tour.

Morgan Spurlock, who is directing the 3D movie about the band, 1D: This Is Us, revealed on Twitter that the lads liked to taunt him by eating McDonald's in front of him - as he was put off fast food when he famously ate nothing but the fast food for a month for his film Supersize Me.

But Morgan added that Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson had been warned off eating burgers in a bid to keep in shape for their live shows.

He wrote: "They love eating McD in front of me, but on the new tour they have a trainer who's keeping them off the Big Macs!"

The director - who has been following 1D everywhere for the last four months - revealed the 3D film will include footage filmed by the band themselves.

He said: "The lads have been both in front of and behind the camera. They've been filming each other on the tour bus and on days off, great footage."

Morgan added: "We spend a lot of down time w/ the band, w/ their families and friends. We really wanted you to see what their "normal" lives are like.

"One of the things I really love about the lads is how much they care about and support each other. They really stand by one another."

The director also revealed his footage included "More shirtless moments than you can imagine" and that he is considering some special 'Hair-iel' shots to capture Harry's "flowing locks". x

Ruthie from 7th Heaven does Maxim

First Topanga, now this!!

Ok. We thought Beverley Mitchell having a baby made us feel old, but check out her former “7th Heaven” costar Mackenzie Rosman!

Mackenzie played little Ruthie Camden on the hit series, but now 23 years old, she’s baring it all (well, most of it) for Maxim magazine.

Photographer Carlos Nunez posted this pic of the scantily clad actress on his Instagram account — and needless to say it’s a far cry from how we remember the youngest Camden girl.

Rosman is following in the footsteps of her former costar Jessica Biel, who famously posed topless for Gear magazine while still on the show — and created all kinds of drama.

Orphans on Broadway

After Twitter Tumult, Actors Regroup
Is anything ever easy with Alec
An Emmy Award-winning star whose periodic outbursts have made him a tabloid treasure, Mr. Baldwin has had a tricky time with his return to Broadway in the 1983 play “Orphans,” his first project after seven seasons on “30 Rock.”
Soon after rehearsals began in February Mr. Baldwin’s co-star Shia LaBeouf clashed with the director, Daniel Sullivan, over acting choices, and at one point upbraided Mr. Baldwin for not knowing his lines. After a week the producers fired Mr. LaBeouf — a rarity on Broadway — and chose another film actor, Ben Foster, to play Treat, a hotheaded thief who holds the mobster Harold (Mr. Baldwin) hostage in the house Treat shares with his shut-in brother, Phillip (the British actor Tom Sturridge).
Mr. LaBeouf hit back by tweeting private e-mails among himself, Mr. Sullivan and his two cast mates. Rehearsals started over, and while they were peaceful, the actors struggled to strike the right tone for their desperate characters. (A 1985 Off Broadway production of the play, by Lyle Kessler, was acclaimed for its ferocity.) Audiences at previews have been laughing a lot, disquieting Mr. Baldwin and Mr. Foster. It’s enough to draw a smile from Jack Donaghy, Mr. Baldwin’s network executive on “30 Rock,” who knows how unpredictable the talent can be.

Multi-millionaire hotel owner Vikram Chatwal -- who's been close with Lindsay Lohan since 2011 -- has been arrested in Florida ... TMZ has learned ... after cops say he tried to get on a plane with cocaine, weed, heroin and various prescription pills.

According to the police report, obtained by TMZ, 41-year-old Chatwal was busted on April 2 at the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport when the TSA discovered an arsenal of drugs hidden on his person, in his crotch and in his bag.

Chatwal was booked on one count of trafficking (6 grams of heroin) and seven counts of possession ... including cocaine, buprenorphine (an opioid), clonazepam (a sedative), alprazolam (Xanax) and lorazepam (muscle relaxants), ketamine (a horse tranquilizer) and weed.

According to the police report, Chatwal admitted to cops that he illegally purchased and possessed the drugs.

Chatwal owns the Dream Hotel in NYC ... one of Lindsay Lohan's favorite spots. You'll recall, Lindsay was arrested following an alleged hit-and-run outside the hotel last year. Prosecutors subsequently dropped the charges due to lack of evidence.

Lindsay and Chatwal were romantically linked the year before when pics surfaced of them kissing inside Chatwal's apartment.

We reached out to Chatwal's people -- so far, no word back.

Abbott - who plays Charlie, the boyfriend of Marnie (Allison Williams) - "abruptly" departed the HBO series ahead of its third season, according to the New York Post.

The report claims that the actor chose to exit the comedy-drama following a creative dispute with Girls creator and star Lena Dunham.

Loved Jason's quote about VM back in 2008
"Veronica Mars. Unfortunately, it didn't last forever, but it seems when you walk around a place like Comic Con that it does," he said. "Art's the kinda thing that stays with people. You emotionally invest in people and you emotionally invest yourself in something, and then it lasts. That's pretty amazing, actually, isn't it?"

JUST A HEADS UP: I got this update earlier, but I chose not to post it. It was leaked to the media, so that's the only reason I'm posting. I just want to be considerate to other backers and not post everything. I get super excited, though, and I want to share it with everyone.

The Wonderful Wendell Pierce (The Wire, Treme) Opens Sterling Farms Grocery Store In New Orleans.

Food deserts – lack of access to grocery stores selling affordable, fresh foods – are critical issues in impoverished communities, including many New Orleans neighborhoods. Actor Wendell Pierce, a New Orleans native, is offering solutions. The “Treme” star launched Sterling Farms, a small chain of grocery and convenience stores, throughout different food deserts in New Orleans.

His chain offers affordable and nutritious foods for customers as well as transportation. The stores offer car rides home to any customer that spends more than $50.

“The most important thing to me is creating a relationship with the community; creating an economic engine as an opportunity for them just to have access to a decent grocery store,” Pierce explained to “NBC Nightly News.”

Pierce’s approach directly counterbalances the prevalence of food deserts by increasing physical and financial access to healthier options. He also situated his stores in areas with single mothers, children and the elderly, who are the three largest demographics impacted by food deserts.

This is the latest of Pierce’s efforts to rejuvenate his native city. He assisted with the rebuilding of the Pontchartrain Park neighborhood of New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina and has consistently lobbied for financial resources for the still-recovering city.

His activist work is commendable and a premiere example of using a larger platform to facilitate effective change.

Roger Ebert dies at 70 after battle with cancer

Roger Ebert loved movies.

Except for those he hated.

For a film with a daring director, a talented cast, a captivating plot or, ideally, all three, there could be no better advocate than Roger Ebert, who passionately celebrated and promoted excellence in film while deflating the awful, the derivative, or the merely mediocre with an observant eye, a sharp wit and a depth of knowledge that delighted his millions of readers and viewers.

“No good film is too long,” he once wrote, a sentiment he felt strongly enough about to have engraved on pens. “No bad movie is short enough.”

Ebert, 70, who reviewed movies for the Chicago Sun-Times for 46 years and on TV for 31 years, and who was without question the nation’s most prominent and influential film critic, died Thursday in Chicago. He had been in poor health over the past decade, battling cancers of the thyroid and salivary gland.

Iron Man 3 actor Robert Downey Jr. just couldn't resist.
He arrived late Wednesday in Seoul, where the world tour for the film is kicking off, and after stopping to sign photographs he broke out some Gangnam Style horse dance moves, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
"First of all I really want to thank the fans that came to the airport yesterday to greet me in Korea," Downey said Thursday at a news conference. "I had a long flight and it was a very lovely surprise. It was like 10 o'clock and pretty late to be driving to the airport, and I just wanted to say I really appreciate it."
The actor, who turns 48 today, sounds confident about the third installment of the film. "I'm a pretty tough critic on these things and I think this third one is really worth a couple of hours to spend to go to see at a theater."

Jim Carrey writes an op-ed: "I Never Wanted to Take Your Guns Away"

I disagree wholeheartedly with those who say that there are just too many guns out there to control and that more gun laws won't make a difference. Change must start someplace. I'm pretty sure that no worthwhile endeavor has ever been accomplished without a beginning and reducing gun violence in America is a worthwhile endeavor.

These mass shootings and daily body counts on your local news are terrible tragedies. The utter devastation that must be endured by the victims' families is unfathomable. These horrific events are also an invitation for us to become more civilized and to deal with our addiction and entitlement to violence. Not to shut our eyes and ears and scream at those with a different opinion than ours to "fuck off and go back to Canada." I will gladly go back and visit Canada as I have many friends and loved ones there. I am so proud of that country and everything it's given to me, but I am also a naturalized American citizen and I have been bringing as much joy as I can to people in this country for 30 years. I care deeply about our future and I feel it's my duty as a citizen to do everything in my power to make this a better place.

Doctor Who: 10 Most Shocking Moments

There have always been moments in Doctor Who that have left the viewer with a raised eyebrow, confused or even a bit teary-eyed. But Doctor Who has always been known, even from the time it had started, to really blow people’s minds with some of the serials and what actually happens in them. Most of the time it happens to the companions, or even people helping out the Doctor, such as Sara Kingdom.

We’re going to take a look back at 10 of the most shocking moments to be in Doctor Who, Classic and New. This isn’t a best 10 list, more like some of the most memorable. Some no longer exist in full episodes, but rather re-constructed clips, and other lost episodes do have the brief existing footage of some of these moments. Of course, shocking moments vary from person to person, but I think there are at least one or two everyone can agree on…

'Chew' TV Adaptation is dead

This is some tough news to swallow for comic book fans. According to writer John Layman on his official Twitter account, the proposed Chew TV series that Showtime was going to put into production is now dead. Here is the tweet:

We haven’t heard much about the show in recent months, but with the success of The Walking Dead, we just assumed that the network would do anything to try and get into the comic book game. For those who don’t know, Chew is a series from Image Comics that was created by Layman and artist Rob Guillory in 2009. It centers on a detective for the FDA named Tony Chu, who has the ability to get a psychic impression from anything that he consumes.

This power allows him to solve crimes by simply nibbling on some evidence. Of course this leads to some disgusting snacks and cannibalism along the way, but it’s all in the name of justice, right? We’re not too worried about the show's future because there are likely plenty of networks out there that would want to jump on the Chew bandwagon, especially with the cult following the book has gained in recent years.

John Boyega Books Role In BBC Feature Based On 'The Loss Of The Ship Essex, Sunk by A Whale

John Boyega has been cast in a new BBC Two feature drama titled The Whale.

Said to be based on the the book, The Loss of the Ship Essex, Sunk by A Whale, here's how it's described:

In 1820, the Nantucket whaleship Essex, thousands of miles from home in the South Pacific, was rammed by an angry sperm whale. The Essex sank, leaving twenty crew members floating in three small boats for ninety days. The incident was the Titanic story of its day, and provided the inspiration for Melville's Moby-Dick.

The 90 minute drama is set to begin shooting this month, or next, with Alrick Riley directing.
Boyega joins a cast that includes Charles Furness, Joe Armstrong, Jassa Ahluwalia, Adam Rayner and Jonas Armstrong.

No word on what characters each of them will play, although it's probably safe to assume that they'll play members of the crew who were left floating for 90 days.

While this is set to air on BBC in the UK, TVWise is reporting that the Discovery Channel is co-producing the movie, and will air it in the USA.

No dates yet however.

Up next for Boyega is the film adaptation of celebrated author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's Orange Prize-winning novel, Half Of A Yellow Sun, and the indie sci-fi feature titled Creeping Zero, to be directed by Billy O'Brien.

I thought he was overrated in Attack The Block and didn't get the hype, then I saw him in Honeytrap. He is so brilliant esp in the last few minutes. I hope he goes on to bigger and better things.

The series focuses on a society (the "Black Dagger Brotherhood") of vampire warriors who live together and defend their race against Lessers, de-souled humans who threaten their kind. The first book in the series was published in 2005.

Lover at Last is the 11th book in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series which before now was known for its alpha vampire warriors and their intense –and very sexual—hetero relationships with the women who come into their lives. The characters Qhuinn and Blaylock were introduced earlier in the series as best friends and young warriors-in-training. Their relationship began with a slow build and fans have been freaking out (in a good way) over the consumation of their relationship in Lover at Last The author did not shy away from their sex scenes to the delight of the mostly female fandom.

The book is currently Number 1 according to USA today and Publisher’s Weekly

I discovered this series a few weeks ago and ended up devouring all the books before tackling Lover at Last. I like that there's action and political stuff in addition to the romance. This book demonstrates that there may not be a need to segregate novels based on gay/straight. The author did a great job integrating Blay and Qhuinn into this alpha world in such a way that people who normally might not read a “gay” book became invested in their relationship and started rooting for their HEA.

Anyhoo if some producer ever smokes enough crack to bring this series to HBO or something, I’m gonna need Jason Mamoa to be Wrath.

Beyoncé or Sasha: The Not-So-Fierce Feminist

Beyoncé, featured in the latest edition of UK Vogue, offered some illuminating and wary thoughts on adding the mantle "feminist" to her growing array of titles. To be fair, she is already a wife, businesswoman, mother, pop superstar, sing/songwriter, fully realized performance character named Sasha Fierce, fashion designer, and producer. Her slate is a little crowded. "Feminist" might just be that proverbial straw that breaks the camel's back. And because that camel might not have access to the same health care and [earns less than her male camel partner]do I detect a hint of shade?... you get the gist. Beyoncé stated:

"That word [feminist] can be very extreme. I guess I am a modern-day feminist. I do believe in equality. Why do you have to choose what type of woman you are? Why do you have to label yourself anything? I'm just a woman and I love being a woman... I do believe in equality and that we have a way to go and it's something that's pushed aside and something that we have been conditioned to accept."

The Walking Dead's Melissa McBride: "I am a series regular."

Wednesday’s news that Walking Dead has upgraded a trio of actors to series regular ahead of Season 4 did not go over well with Melissa McBride fans.

Supporters of the actress — who has played Carol since Season 1 — took to TVLine’s comments section to demand that AMC finally do the right thing and make her a regular as well.

There’s just one problem: McBride is, and has been, a regular — a fact she confirmed herself on Twitter Wednesday. Responding to the “awesome outpouring” of support following news of Chad L. Coleman, Sonequa Martin-Green and Emily Kinney’s promotions, McBride maintained, “I currently am a series regular.” She then chalked up questions about her status to, “legalese.”

There are a lot of things to laugh at in Tyler Perry's Temptation: Kim Kardashian's attempts to move and talk at the same time, Vanessa Williams's fake French accent for no reason (hoh-hoh-hohhh!), the alien dialogue, the blunt-force moralizing, the sheer ineptitude of Perry's filmmaking. (Worth noting: None of Perry's actual scripted "jokes" made the list.) But, that said, it is not a funny movie—it's a frightening one. Temptation is a movie about punishing women. Specifically, Perry is obsessed with punishing women who stray from the good woman/bad woman binary dictated by traditional Christian gender roles. That is the film's entire purpose. I watched it 24 hours ago and my skin is still crawling. And I'm starting to believe that Tyler Perry isn't just artless—he's reprehensible.

Magic Johnson Speaks Out On Gay Son Coming Out, Homophobia.

(right: Magic's son EJ and his boyfriend)

Magic Johnson made headlines this week after he announced his support for his 20-year-old gay son, Earvin "EJ" Johnson III. Although this was the public's first look into the Johnson family's life, Magic and his wife, Cookie, have long supported the EJ for exactly who he is.

The former Los Angeles Lakers superstar said he knew EJ was gay before he told him. So when his son was about 13 years old, he sat him down to have "the talk."

A statement from Chaz Ebert

CHICAGO, April 4, 2013 -- Chaz Ebert issued the following statement Thursday about the passing of her husband, Roger Ebert, a day after he celebrated 46 years as a film critic:

"I am devastated by the loss of my love, Roger -- my husband, my friend, my confidante and oh-so-brilliant partner of over 20 years. He fought a courageous fight. I've lost the love of my life and the world has lost a visionary and a creative and generous spirit who touched so many people all over the world. We had a lovely, lovely life together, more beautiful and epic than a movie. It had its highs and the lows, but was always experienced with good humor, grace and a deep abiding love for each other.

"Roger was a beloved husband, stepfather to Sonia and Jay, and grandfather to Raven, Emil, Mark and Joseph. Just yesterday he was saying how his grandchildren were "the best things in my life." He was happy and radiating satisfaction over the outpouring of responses to his blog about his 46th year as a film critic. But he was also getting tired of his fight with cancer, and said if this takes him, he has lived a great and full life.

"We were getting ready to go home today for hospice care, when he looked at us, smiled, and passed away. No struggle, no pain, just a quiet, dignified transition.

"We are touched by all the kindness and the outpouring of love we've received. And I want to echo what Roger said in his last blog, thank you for going on this journey with us."

Target Issues Dress Apology, Says Sorry For ‘Manatee Gray’ Plus Size Label

Target issued an apology today for an offensive color label on a dress sold online.

An online shopper noticed today that a dress on Target.com was available in “Dark Heather Gray” for one size but “manatee gray” for the larger size.

A photo of the offensive label started circulating around the internet causing many people to wonder if the picture was actually real. Well, it’s real. Thankfully, Target has already issued an apology for dress label saying that it was an “unintended oversight.”

Target spokeswoman Jessica Deede told Forbes:

“We never want to offend any of our guests. We apologize for any discomfort that we may have caused … We are in the process of fixing the discrepancy and updating Target.com so the gray dress will be available in all styles … We’re working on updating our systems right now.”

Amanda Bynes reveals she has an eating disorder via Twitter

Amanda Bynes claims to be suing all media outlets peddling stories of "mental illnesses," reveals she has an eating disorder via Twitter

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Clearly hurt by the recent press stories, Amanda Bynes took to twitter to lash out against media outlets, claiming to be pursuing legal action against all who have insinuated she may have a mental disorder. A few minutes later, Ms. Bynes revealed that she has an eating disorder. This may clear up her vehement denials that recent photos of her looking a bit worse-for-wear were really her. Girl's self-conscious, just like the rest of us.
