Sofia Vergara in "MACHETE KILLS"

If you haven’t been paying attention to “Machete Kills,” Robert Rodriguez’s forthcoming, blood-soaked sequel to his low-budget 2010 “Grindhouse” spin-off “Machete Kills,” well, here’s your chance.

Entertainment Weekly has just debuted a brand-new, eye-popping poster (scroll down) for the new movie, out this September, which features Sofia Vergara packing some serious heat.

The poster showcases Vergara’s, er, ample assets, this time enhanced by what appears to be a machine gun bra (somehow this was left out of the most recent Victoria’s Secret catalog). She plays a character named Lady Desdemona, who Entertainment Weekly describes as a “femme fatale.” Are there any other kinds of ladies in these movies?

In the sequel, Mexican hitman / vigilante / freedom fighter Machete (Danny Trejo), is hired by the slimy President of the United States (Charlie Sheen, of course) to take down an arms dealer who wants to launch deadly rockets into orbit (the third film in the proposed trilogy takes place in space; we couldn’t make this up if we tried). The cast also includes Mel Gibson, Vanessa Hudgens, Michelle Rodriguez, Lady Gaga, and Amber Heard. Yes, those people are actually in the movie.

While some might get riled up about this poster’s provocative use of gun imagery, especially in our increasingly sensitive political climate, most people will get riled up because of something else entirely… Ahem…

“Machete kills” opens September 13, 2013.

George Clooney, Stacy Keibler Headed for a Breakup: "The End Is Near"

george-clooney-stacey-keibler-articleLooks like George Clooney's bachelor status is here to stay. The Argo producer's year-and-a-half-long romance with girlfriend Stacy Keibler has run its course, multiple sources reveal in the March 18 issue of Us Weekly, on stands now.

Insiders say the pair have been increasingly butting heads in recent months. "They have little in common," one source explains of the former wrestler, 33, and her 51-year-old beau. "She likes to go out and have fun. She's been feeling the age difference."

Clooney's friends are a factor, too. According to one insider, the Oscar winner's buddies aren't wild about Keibler's pals. Adds another source: "The end is near. It's a matter of time."

HBO Continues to Ruin Catelyn's Character: News at Eleven

Coupled with Catelyn undermining Robb’s authority by releasing their sneering hostage Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) in the hope his family release the Stark daughters she believes are being held in King’s Landing (one isn’t, but she doesn’t know that) in return, there’s definitely some tension there that will conspire to splinter the mother and son dynamic even further apart.

“That is an angle you can take!” says Fairley of Catelyn’s betrayal. “Yes, of course, but she is doing ultimately – or she is convinced – for a very valid and good reason, which is to get the return of her daughters and hopefully end this stupid war.

“In her naivety – and it goes back to the earlier question about the women [of Game Of Thrones], once they take that knock they know never to go down that alley again, you learn from your mistakes – and she gets her comeuppance.”

“I potentially have to accept a new family,” expands Fairley. “Catelyn spends a lot of time on her own in Season 3, so that’s a lot of reflection – being honest and possibly admitting to her own involvement in the demise of her family.

Please join with me in raging about how HBO has completely destroyed Catelyn as a character and how B&W are using her in the show as a punching bag and punishing her for all the things they erroneously believe she is responsible for in the books.

Have you been wondering what happened to Mishca Barton and Devon Sawa?

Why, they've been busy making a movie no one will see!

"Set during a single day and night at a high school, Jessie (Mischa Barton), a guidance counselor, Addison (Michael Clarke Duncan), the school principal and local police officer, Travis (Devon Sawa) are the central characters of a "whodunit" as murder sweeps the school. Jessie attempts to help a mentally disturbed student who is convinced that his dead brother will return and seek vengeance against the high school students that played a part in his death."

Poor Michael Clarke Duncan doesn't deserve to have this be his last movie. :(

Elisabeth Hasselbeck Leaving The View After Nine Years, Viewers Found Her "Too Extreme"

The people have spoken. Elisabeth Hasselbeck, one of the five cohorts of ABC's daytime talk show The View, will not be returning to the couch next season, following hot on the footsteps of fellow cohost Joy Behar, a source tells Us Weekly.
According to the source, the show's resident conservative voice is being ousted after market research revealed that she isn't popular with TV audiences.

"The viewers they polled all said she was too extreme and right wing," the insider tells Us. "People did not watch the show because of Elisabeth. So they told her yesterday her contract would not be renewed."
Hasselbeck, 35, joined the cast of the daytime talk show in November 2003 after guest-hosting the show following Lisa Ling's departure in 2002.

Throughout the course of her time on The View, she has gotten into numerous arguments with her cohosts, including a heated argument with Rosie O'Donnell in 2007 over the War in Afghanistan and with Barbara Walters over Mitt Romney in 2012.
Earlier this week, Behar, 70, announced her own departure from the show after 16 1/2 years.

"You can't stay forever on a show," she told Good Morning America. "I am graciously exiting stage left. I've put in 16 1/2 years and felt the time was right. I want to explore other opportunities."
Adds the source to Us: "Joy says it just felt ... tired and like work. She was over it."
Behar has been with the talk show since its inception in 1997, and currently hosts Joy Behar: Say Anything! on Current TV.

White House petition wants to replace 'Star-Spangled Banner' with 2003 hit by R. Kelly

Oh say can you see R. Kelly’s “Ignition” becoming America’s national anthem? It's what one petition on the White House website proposes. It would mean the 2003 hit single would replace the “Star-Spangled Banner.” Somewhere, Francis Scott Key is giving the side eye.

“We, the undersigned, would like the Obama administration to recognize the need for a new national anthem, one that even a decade after its creation, is still hot and fresh out the kitchen,” the petition proclaims. “America has changed since Francis Scott Key penned our current anthem in 1814. Since then, we have realized that after the show, it's the afterparty, and that after the party, it's the hotel lobby, and -- perhaps most importantly -- that 'round about four, you've got to clear the lobby, at which point it's strongly recommended that you take it to the room and freak somebody.”

Exclusive First Look: Paramore’s Hayley Williams Teams Up With M.A.C!

MAC’s celebrity collaborations are always head-turning, but they’ve never been quite this bright before. Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams has teamed up with the brand to release a four-piece collection, all in her signature shade: vibrant orange.

“I didn’t wear makeup at all. Photographers would beg me to wear chapstick and I’d say no,” Williams tells PEOPLE of her days before discovering MAC. “I went to a [store] and picked up orange eyeshadow from MAC, that was the beginning of the end. It’s been key in making me feel like I have an onstage personality.”

And even more of a no-brainer than partnering with her favorite makeup brand was the shade she’d select for her signature collection. “Orange was it for me from picking up the eyeshadow when I was 17,” she says. “It’s not a natural color, but when I wear it, people say ‘It looks normal on you!’ I feel like it was born with it. It matches my soul.”

For girls a little more timid about diving headfirst into such a bright color, Williams says to start with the eyeshadow and work your way up. “The Daydreaming shadow is soft and pretty when you don’t keep layering it. I love colors like that … you get two looks,” she says. “The orange lipstick maybe isn’t for [every] girl. But it could be!”

Williams says she loves to have fun with her makeup and is inspired by her fans; she especially loves seeing them wear looks she’s sported in the past. “The best thing about makeup is that it’s complete self expression, it’s art on your face,” she tells PEOPLE. “Makeup can be really empowering, and I’m excited to be part of the MAC family … and for fans to get ahold of it.”

To check out Williams’s online-exclusive collection, visit on April 9.

T.I.'s 'Memories Back Then' Is 'Just As Hot' Without Gotye Sample
Tip talks to MTV News about the sample issues surrounding his latest single with B.o.B and Kendrick Lamar.
By Rob Markman

As shrewd a business man as T.I. is, he's an artist first, so when he heard the original beat for his newest single "Memories Back Then," he was so excited he recorded the track and even recruited B.o.B and MTV's Hottest MC Kendrick Lamar to ride with him. The only problem is, Tip's record sampled Gotye's #1, Grammy-winning "Somebody That I Used to Know," a sample that he just couldn't get clearance for.

"We just remixed it and did our own thing to it. Took the sample out so we wouldn't have any trouble in our due diligence," Tip told MTV News on Wednesday while on the set of "Memories Back Then" in California. "I didn't want to waste the opportunity because it was such great performances and such a meaningful message from myself, from Bob and from Kendrick," he added.

The song finds all three MCs spitting of love lost. T.I. raps about a relationship with an overly promiscuous girl, while B.o.B lays down a verse centered around baby mama drama. Kendrick rounds things out with a 16 about a female who paid him no mind back before he was paid.

Tip explained that the original version of "Memories," the one with the Gotye sample, felt relevant and urgent and that's why he rushed in. " 'Memories,' it began as a record that my DJ MLK, he brought a record to me that was produced by Keno and it had a sample, the sample of the biggest record last year and basically I just rocked out as soon as I heard it," he recalled of the track he originally intended to appear on his December album, Trouble Man: Heavy is the Head.

After Tip enlisted his producers to put an original beat over the track's existing rap vocals, he snagged singer Kris Stephens to add a brand-new hook. Needless to say T.I. is excited about this new version of "Memories," which he can now truly call his own. "I think the record is just as hot, if not hotter without the sample," he boasted. "No disrespect to the people whose record we sampled. If we could've done it that way we would've loved to, but we didn't wanna step on no toes. "I think it's gonna be one of the year's best collaboration records."

Kim "doing fine" after miscarriage scare

For the first time since her frightening miscarriage scare, Kim Kardashian is speaking out!

The 32-year-old reality star, who is pregnant with Kanye West’s baby, broke her silence on Friday after being rushed to the hospital earlier this week when she was concerned that stomach pains she was having were a miscarriage, telling her fans that she and her baby are totally fine and that she is just getting rest – and has the details.

“Thanks for all the well wishes, I’m doing fine!” Kardashian tweeted on Friday morning from Los Angeles.

“Just resting…have a good weekend. Love you guys!”

Kardashian experienced a huge scare on Tuesday night while traveling back from Paris Fashion Week when she started feeling sick on the plane.

Kim “started feeling ill on the plane from Paris, and called friends as soon as she landed,” an insider told The New York Post. “She was rushed to her doctor Tuesday night in tears. She thought she was having a miscarriage.”

“Kim’s not respecting her pregnancy,” a source told the paper. “She’s running around, working out seven days a week. She’s working with two different trainers figure to control her weight, including Tracy Anderson and a pregnancy trainer.”

“She’s scared that her ass is as big as a couch and is going south, but she is having a very rough pregnancy, and doctors have ordered her to slow down.”

Nora Ephron’s Final Act

Sunday, June 24, was a pretty good day. The sun was shining, and Mom spent most of the afternoon on a couch in the front of her room, doing the crossword puzzle with Max. Binky was there, as was Richard Cohen and his companion, Mona. Amy stopped by with her husband, Alan. “We’re going to the Guggenheim,” Amy said. “Do you want anything from the outside world?”
“Sure,” my mother said. “A de Kooning.”

Another thing she requested was a pineapple milkshake, so Max brought one from Emack and Bolio’s, made from fresh pineapple. But as far as my mother was concerned, a milkshake is one thing that’s actually better with crushed pineapple. Dole.

“When I get out of the hospital, I’m going to go home and I’m going to make a pineapple milkshake with crushed pineapple, pineapple juice and vanilla ice cream, and I’m going to drink it and I’m going to die,” she said, savoring the last word. “It’s going to be great.”

On this day, I told her some things. After she moved to her bed, I said that sometimes, I thought of the possibility of her not being around and wondered if I’d ever be able to write again. If I’d even want to. And she told me that I would, that I would find it within me, and that whatever happened, she hoped my brother and I would lead the kind of lives where we did stuff big enough to occasionally say, “Wow, I wish Mom was around for this.”

Michelle Obama’s style ‘dreadful,’ says designer Vivienne Westwood

The British designer, 71, who criticized Duchess Kate’s style and makeup earlier this month, has now taken on our first lady. In an interview with The New York Times, Westwood – while discussing her upcoming “Punk: Chaos to Couture” exhibition at the New York Metropolitan Museum – took a few jabs at Michelle Obama’s wardrobe choices, much to the reporter’s surprise:

The New York Times: You must love our first lady, who is famous for recycling her clothes.

Westwood: Don’t talk about her. It’s dreadful what she wears.

The New York Times: What?

Westwood: I don’t want to talk about it. Really, I can’t. She’s a very nice looking lady, but it’s a nonstarter regarding clothes that suit her.

Westwood, however, seemed to only have kind words for another first lady – Jackie Kennedy. “[She] was a different matter altogether,” Westwood said. “It just had to suit her and be something that makes a human being more glamorous.

The response, as expected, has been less than forgiving, with readers calling Westwood a “very bitter and mean person,” “irrelevant” and even suggesting "someone’s in a snit because their clothes aren't being worn.”

25 Things From '90s Movies You Don't See Anymore

The movies are the best time capsule of an era, giving you access to the music, the dress, the tech trends, the social/political climate. As '80s and '90s babies grow up, we find ourselves more compelled to a nostalgic POV, that perspective that blends—to quote writer Samuel R. Delany—"the first, the best, and the youthful gaze."

So, whether or not Home Alone is a good movie (though it is), for many it's the first holiday movie you can remember seeing, one of the first movies to have a protagonist that didn't seem much older than you, and you wanted to be like him, like Kevin (or at least have his stuff)—and thus it remains powerful.

This nostalgia becomes even more powerful because of how many of things contained within these films are no longer around. We start to have soft feelings for things we didn't like in the first place, like dial-up Internet.

Don't believe it? Just check out these 25 Things From '90s Movies You Don't See Anymore—and tell us how they make you feel.

Forest Whitaker and the "Good" Racist People

Last month the actor Forest Whitaker was stopped in a Manhattan delicatessen by an employee. But the man who approached the Oscar winner at the deli last month was in no mood for autographs. The employee stopped Whitaker, accused him of shoplifting and then promptly frisked him. The act of self-deputization was futile. Whitaker had stolen nothing. On the contrary, he’d been robbed.

The deli where Whitaker was harassed happens to be in my neighborhood. Columbia University is up the street. Broadway, the main drag, is dotted with nice restaurants and classy bars that cater to beautiful people. I like my neighborhood. And I’ve patronized the deli with some regularity, often several times in a single day. I’ve sent my son in my stead. My wife would often trade small talk with whoever was working checkout. Last year when my beautiful niece visited, she loved the deli so much that I felt myself a sideshow. But it’s understandable. It’s a good deli.

Since the Whitaker affair, I’ve read and listened to interviews with the owner of the establishment. He is apologetic to a fault and is sincerely mortified. He says that it was a “sincere mistake” made by a “decent man” who was “just doing his job.” I believe him. And yet for weeks now I have walked up Broadway, glancing through its windows with a mood somewhere between Marvin Gaye’s “Distant Lover” and Al Green’s “For the Good Times.”

Liam Hemsworth flies to Australia amidst cheating rumors

Following days of split speculation, the tension continues for Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth.

"Miley is still upset with Liam," a source told PEOPLE on Friday after the 20-year-old star stepped out sans engagement ring. "She took the ring off to make him mad."

But, says the source, "It doesn't mean that they have split. Miley says they are still together."

Given the recent ups and downs, "Liam did fly home [to Australia on March 1] so they could have a break," the source adds, noting that he has been spending time with his brother Chris, with whom he is very close.

And while he is about 14,500 miles away, Cyrus is hanging in L.A. and was photographed out Thursday night with longtime pal, Paul Khoury.

Problems between the engaged pair became apparent at the end of February, when rumors flew that Hemsworth, 23, was overly friendly with January Jones at a party – and then spotted sharing a ride.

But an insider counters that the two have been longtime friends: "[They] used to go clubbing together in L.A. They have been friends for a while," says insider.

Earlier this week, Miley was "upset and angry about the cheating rumors," according to the source. Still, the problems don't stem solely from infidelity buzz.

"Miley is crazy about Liam, but sometimes doesn't treat him great," the source said at the time. "She likes things her way and tends to play games. Liam is also a strong person and that's why they often butt heads."

Demi Moore Asks Ashton Kutcher For Alimony

Demi Moore, 50, has formally filed divorce papers in response to Ashton Kutcher's previous filing in December, in which she seeks spousal support and also requests that Kutcher pay her legal bills.
In the papers filed Thursday, she lists their separation date as November 17, 2011, and cites "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the divorce.

According to The New York Post, Demi filed her own papers after she was "tired" of trying to reach a confidential settlement with Kutcher. According to the report, she had previously been hoping to quietly negotiate a settlement and then file the papers once an agreement was reached, but now, the couple's divorce could go to a trial.

And clearly, there's a lot of money on the line -- Forbes named Kutcher, 35, the highest-paid actor on TV in 2012 thanks to his Two and a Half Men gig for which he reportedly earned $24 million between May 2011 and May 2012.

Ashton and Demi began their May-December relationship in 2003 and married in 2005. In 2010, infidelity rumors about Ashton started to swirl, and on November 17, 2011, Demi took to Twitter to announce her plans to divorce her husband.

Both appear to have moved on following their split, specifically Kutcher, who first publicly stepped out with his That '70s Show co-star Mila Kunis last spring.

Gaybrielle Turner (played by Gabrielle Union) is an overzealous traffic cop without a clue, who gets off (literally) by pulling over random people for no reason - just because she's bored, horny or both. Each of the traffic stops revealing surprising, over the top and hilarious results. In the vain of the show "Cops" meets "Reno 911" this new broad show for the Comedy Shaq Network is sure to throw the book at funny.

How many of your student loans can Celebrities pay for?

Stars, they're nothing like us. They're way, way richer.

Parade came out with their annual "What People Earn: Salary Report" today, and aside from the Average Joes, they list 19 celebrities and their hefty paychecks. Seven-year-old Honey Boo Boo, for instance, makes $50,000 with her family each episode, and the magazine states that number has recently tripled. Kinda makes you feel good about your 9-to-5, eh?

And, same as last year, many of the teasers are hidden beneath a [SPOILER] tag — in other words, you’re gonna have to put on your guessing caps to figure out who’ll be doing what to (and/or with!) whom!

Channing Tatum slams one-night stands

Channing Tatum never had any interest in “chasing girls”.

Channing Tatum says one-night stands have never appealed to him as they “leave you cold and empty”.

The star is married to actress Jenna Dewan-Tatum and together they are expecting their first child.

The 32-year-old Hollywood hunk is pleased to have settled down and says he could never imagine playing the field.

“No, I was never that kind of guy,” he assured the British edition of OK! magazine.

“I believed in true romance; one-night stands are always going to leave you feeling cold and empty. I was always looking for the real thing, romance, and all that. I love being married. I never liked the idea of going to bars and chasing girls. Some guys might enjoy that, but I always wanted to find that one special woman which I did when I met Jenna.”

Whereas Channing lives the Hollywood lifestyle now, he was born and raised in Alabama and moved to Mississippi when he was six.

The actor believes his southern upbringing has something to do with his attitude towards women.

“It teaches you to be a gentleman and to be very respectful and polite to women. I would get a slap on the back of my head if I didn’t open the door for my mother or sister. The greatest compliment anyone could ever pay me would be to say that I’m a gentleman,” he smiled.

The 12 Most Frugal Celebrities

We aren't the only ones to use coupons. Some of Hollywood's A-listers regularly look for discount deals and practice money-saving habits. compiled a list of penny-pinching celebrities, and we've added a few of our own.

From stars who clip coupons to those who bargain buy, here are the celebrities who know how to stretch a dollar.

1. Jay Leno doesn't spend any of the money he earns from "The Tonight Show."

The late-night host revealed in a Parade column that he only spends money from comedy routines.

"When I was a kid, I had two jobs," wrote Leno. "I worked at a Ford dealership and at a McDonald’s. I’d spend the money from one job and save the money from the other. That’s still the way I am now. I live on the money I make as a comedian, and I put all the TV money in the bank. I’ve never spent a dime of TV money—ever."

2. Singer Carrie Underwood clips coupons for weekly shopping.

While taking Everyday with Rachael Ray through a day in her life, Underwood shared that despite forgetting coupons sometimes, she does make a habit to cut them out.

"Doing the weekly shopping, I stock up on stir-fry kits, Amy's meatless burgers, and armloads of onions and garlic. I put onions and garlic in everything. Ack—as usual, I forgot my coupons. (Yes, I do clip them!)," shared Underwood.

Taylor Swift's Behind the Scenes Diet Coke Ad

Taylor Swift says she's a big fan of Diet Coke – in fact she's a little obsessed -- and the synergy gods must've been listening, because the Grammy winner has teamed up with the beverage company for a long-term partnership, including the Stay Extraordinary campaign and her first-ever Diet Coke commercial, shot in Nashville.

"If you would ask all my friends and probably most of my fans what would make the most sense -- what is Taylor obsessed with as far as a product to partner with and a company to partner with? -- they would say Diet Coke, because it's a big part of my life," muses Taylor. "I'm a big Diet Coke fan. … It's really a good thing."

The seven-time Grammy winner will serve as a program ambassador for the Diet Coke, and her new commercial, entitled Music That Moves, features her new single 22 and centers around her unique approach to songwriting and the powerful impact her music and lyrics have on fans.

"I think one of my favorite things about the RED tour is that one of the main focuses I had was incorporating the element of surprise, and incorporating the unexpected," she says. "I really like to think that a good concert can be like a good book; it can take you away, it can take you to a different place and help you escape, and I think that's the main goal for me -- helping the fans to escape, if only just for one night."

On March 13, Taylor will debut a video series featuring lots of behind-the-scenes content of her tour, music videos and more on Diet Coke's Facebook page. Just click "like"! Taylor's new Music That Moves spot is scheduled to debut in April.

It's seven long years since Justin Timberlake's last album—can he repeat?

In past sketches on "Saturday Night Live," Justin Timberlake has played a smack-talking mascot, a member of the Bee Gees and a cad who gift-wraps his privates. When he hosts the show for the fifth time Saturday, he'll be returning to his most anticipated role: Justin Timberlake, pop singer.

It has been almost seven years since the 32-year-old star released his last album, a smash that sold nine million copies and introduced the catchphrase "bringing sexy back." After taking a break from music to throw himself into acting, entrepreneurship and tech investing, Mr. Timberlake will release his third solo album, "The 20/20 Experience," on March 19.

Jeremy Renner in Boston for David O. Russell project; Attends over-crowded party

The talk of the town Thursday was still Wednesday night’s overstuffed opening party at Restoration Hardware on the corner of Berkeley and Newbury streets. The fancy VIP shindig, which celebrated the retailer’s new space in the old Louis Boston building, included an appearance by actor Jeremy Renner — as well as members of the Boston Fire Department, who had to shut down the entrances because the building was over capacity, with partygoers still lined up to get in.

It’s unclear who’s taking the blame for the party’s inflated RSVPs. As of Thursday afternoon, Restoration Hardware had not responded to our e-mails. But Kortenhaus Communications (who repped the party) and Rafanelli Events Management send out this statement:

“We put the safety and comfort of guests first. We are very grateful for the support of the Boston Police Department, Boston Fire Department and the City of Boston to ensure the safety of all in attendance. We regret any inconvenience caused to guests.”

Sexy Dance Act Kazaky Attacks Russia’s Anti-Gay Ban With “Crazy Law”

Those hunky Ukrainian hoofers Kazaky are back with a new treat, “Crazy Law.” We’d like to think the song is a reference to neighboring Russia’s “gay-propaganda” ban, but we’re not sure. The lyrics aren’t exactly clear cut.

Vienna Teng to Perform at Tupelo in July

Singer/songwriter among seven new acts announced to appear at the nationally acclaimed music hall in Londonerry, NH

Beware, though -- it's a one-day only affair!

July 14 VIENNA TENG: She shares her name with the Austrian home of Mozart and Beethoven. And she herself studied classical piano from the age of five. But there’s nothing old-world about the music of Vienna Teng, whose music debut brings to mind artists as diverse as Tori Amos, Simon & Garfunkel and Radiohead. “People used to ask what kind of music I played and I never knew how to answer that,” says Teng. “I work a lot with classically trained musicians, but most of my influences are from 1970s-era folk music. So now I call it chamber folk.” She adds: “I’m always looking for the perfect pop song combined with an unexpected amount of depth—that’s my idea of great music.”

MY IDEA OF GREAT MUSIC TOO, QUEEN OF HEAVEN VIENNA TENG. ;___; Wish I could go see this. Anyone who does, please report back. In the meantime...
