Dashboard Confessional frontman Chris Carrabba launching another musical project at SXSW?

Dashboard Confessional and Further Seems Forever frontman Chris Carrabba is no stranger to wearing multiple musical hats. In fact, it was his initial transition from Further Seems Forever into Dashboard Confessional that brought his name to the forefront of many of our then-young minds. Now it seems Carrabba is planning to launch another new project, and UTG has gathered together every detail we could find.

Near the tail end of last week, SXSW launched their official music schedule. According to this post, Chris Carrabba will be performing on Friday and Saturday night as part of a new group known as Twin Falls. We tried to search on the site for further information, but the official band page turned out to be nothing more than a quick bio on Carrabba’s other efforts.

Facing the problem of a familiar face attached to an unfamiliar name, we turned to Google for help. However, after scrolling back a few pages and attempting multiple versions of the same search it became alarmingly clear that not only has this band not performed before, but they’re virtually unknown online.

We are currently reaching out for more information regarding Twin Falls, but knowing Carrabba it is unlikely anything additional will leak before he’s ready to go public.

Entire Belfast Hockey Team Abandons Franchise After Owner Is Revealed As U.S. Sex Offender

In January, the Belfast Giants of the Elite Ice Hockey League (U.K.) – yep, the “All I Want For Christmas Is You” franchise – announced that American Christopher Knight had purchased the team, as Jim Gillespie sold a stake he had held since 2003.

It was supposed to be a new era for the Northern Ireland team. Alas, it was an era that ended only a few weeks later when it was revealed that Knight was actually a registered sex offender in Florida.

Knight, who made his money in the telecommunications industry, purchased the team for a reported £145,000 ($225,054.50 U.S.) in November, entering into an agreement with the Odyssey Trust, which owns and operates the Odyssey Arena. According to The Independent, Odyssey activated an out clause in its contract with the Giants after “major issues” about Knight came to light.

2NE1's CL Reveals Details About the Group's Next Album and Her Forthcoming Solo Career

When K-pop girl-group phenomenon 2NE1 came to America in August 2012, the timing seemed a little off. They had just released the single “I Love You” (a domestic smash off the bat that debuted at No. 1 on the K-Pop Hot 100) and promised a Korean album to follow in October. Yet, in late July, the girls embarked on a world tour with stops in both hemispheres. When would there be time to finish an album?

“I Love You” indicated big things to come from the record. They had never sung about the topic of love before and portrayed a vulnerable side that juxtaposed their fierce, feisty style. Yet the album’s plans dissipated with no real news given about the state of 2NE1—until the group’s leader, CL, returned to the U.S. for New York Fashion Week in early February.

POPriah Carey Returns With New Song "Almost Home" [Full]

Now everyone, put your bias aside, I want you to hear the POP in Mariah that has disappeared since 1997. Mariah has done RnB and Soul for almost a decade and now she is going back to claim her Pop throne. "Almost Home" sounds like it has Kelly Clarkson's pop beats and Selena Gomez's sweetness. Mariah is gonna slay 2013 with "Almost Home" for Disney's "Oz: The Great and The Powerful"and the promo on American Idol each week. What do you think of "Almost Home"??

Michelle Williams: Matilda's a Fan of Black and White Movies

Michelle Williams‘ daughter Matilda Rose has yet to see her mom’s latest movie, but she’s already giving the film two thumbs up.

“She’s dying to see it. She’s very excited,” the Oz The Great and Powerful star, 32, told PEOPLE during its Wednesday premiere in Hollywood.

“[Director Sam Raimi] really welcomed her on set and he made a very kid-friendly space. She witnessed so much of it being made so she’s really excited to see it come together.”

An avid fan of the original The Wizard of Oz, the 7-year-old has been known to skip over the scarier scenes — “She runs out of the room when … the baboons start to fly,” says Williams — but promises to be brave for the newest flick.

“She said, ‘Mommy, don’t worry, I won’t be scared because I know how everything happens,” says the actress.

However, the cultured little girl doesn’t limit her film intake to only kid-oriented movies.

“She’s very open. Her interests are kind of broad,” says Williams. “She’ll watch a black and white movie and that’s fine with her.”

Seth MacFarlane expects to lose the Oscar to Adele

If his song 'Everybody Needs a Best Friend' did collect the best-song trophy, "I would be as overjoyed as I can get."

Seth MacFarlane is not preparing an acceptance speech for his Oscar-nominated song Everybody Needs a Best Friend.

The first-time Oscar host and nominee says the best-song award probably will go home with Adele for the Bond theme Skyfall.

"We will lose to Adele," says MacFarlane, speaking to USA TODAY for an in-depth profile. "Don't get me wrong. As cynical a guy as I sometimes appear to be, nothing would delight me more than to walk away with that (award).

"But I don't think there's a chance in hell that we will win. But if we did, I would be as overjoyed as I can get."

Can you guess who the person is? Do you agree with what they say? That's 3/5 for Naomi. IMO, Naomi, Marion, and Emanuelle had the strongest performances this year, but I would not be mad at a Chastain win.

Jennifer Lawrence and Jessica Chastain (and Ben Affleck) are both presenters at the Oscars, making me think that they didn't win. Nominees don't ever present at Oscars, so it's odd.

Catfish: The TV Show, Mike and Felicia

The season finale of "Catfish: The TV Show" provided one last look at online deception. Mike took center-stage for the finale, and the episode ended on a happier note than most earlier installments. After a relationship of five years, Mike got dumped by his girlfriend. He turned to the Internet, where he started chatting with Felicia.

After a few months, he felt like he was really falling for her, but he'd still never seen her. No pictures, no video chats. So the show brought him down to Florida to meet her in person.

britney spears' mystery valentine's date revealed!!!

We now know the identity of the mystery man who took Britney Spears out for a Valentine's Day dinner and played golf with her over the weekend. He is ... a very normal guy.

His name is David. He works for a law firm -- he's not a lawyer -- does "field research" ... kind of a jack-of-all-trades. He's definitely not a wealthy guy.

David -- who is 27 -- is from Atlanta and does not seem to have significant roots in California.

As for his relationship with Britney ... we're told they met through friends. The pics (above) were taken at the Sherwood Country Club where Britney lives. He's a big golfer and he's teaching her the moves. Britney has actually taken a liking to golf and is thinking about becoming a member of the country club.

As for the Valentine's Day date, it was pretty quick. They were in and out of the sushi joint in less than a half hour. The bill was $60. David tipped $13. (That is more than 20% tip)

The Bachelor Week 8 Hometown Dates

Chris Harrison typically earns his paycheck by confidently stating each week that what we are about to witness is the most dramatic rose ceremony ever. I have to admit that after Sean doled out the coveted buds, I was shocked by the girl who was left rose-less at the end of the night.

With that said, the four remaining women were on a pretty even playing field. Since Sean was wise enough to send the resident villain Tierra home last week, the show was left with Catherine, Lindsay, Des and AshLee, who all seem relatively normal. If we strip their personalities down to basics, one might say that they are all nice, funny and attractive girls. This forces everyone watching to choose a favorite, and we become divided, convinced that our favorite is clearly going to be the one standing at the end.

Of course, this means the fate of the relationship relies on chemistry with the families.

Toy Story 4 in 2015?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Rumors of Toy Story 4 have been around ever since Tom Hanks said the studio is trying to make it happen, and today an Argentinian news source says the studio has now confirmed the news.

Terra goes so far to say that Tom Hanks (Woody), Tim Allen (Buzz), and Joan Cusack (Jessie) have all been confirmed for the film and a 2015 release is planned.

This news has not been confirmed by Disney/Pixar’s U.S. offices yet, so take it with a grain of salt for now. We have an e-mail in to Disney.

If true, all signs have pointed to this happening for some time. Pixar has kept the Toy Story franchise ticking by creating several short films in their “Toy Story Toons” series, and each one premiered in front of a Disney or Pixar film. In addition, a Toy Story television special Toy Story of Terror is planned for October 2013.

Anti-consumerism pioneer Macklemore sells out, edits lyrics for NBA Promo

Macklemore rose to fame in 2012 on the strength of his frugal anthem “Thrift Shop,” a catchy hip-hop tune with an anti-consumerist bent that managed to get serious radio play. After its release in August, it topped the Billboard Hot 100 in January, and still remains there today. Those who associate hip-hop with commercialism hailed the rapper as a radical new voice in the genre—while others pointed out that plenty of rap artists have challenged consumerism before, even if they didn’t have number-one singles.

Success is rarely simple, and Macklemore’s anti-consumerist fans may want to watch his three-minute promo for the NBA’s All-Star week, featuring “Wing$,” the second single from the rapper’s debut album, The Heist. In its original form, “Wing$” is a critique of Nike and the obsessive sneaker culture that triggered $200 shoe prices. You may be confused why the NBA, a key player in the rise of the big-time sneaker industry, would choose the song to hail its product. But that’s because it’s not the same song anymore: In the promo, Macklemore drops all the lyrics that criticize Nike and consumerism.

Adapting a formerly anti-consumerist song in order to promote that endeavor is what some would call selling out. The song is still catchy (is it though?), and if that’s what matters most to you, then the spot serves its purpose. But those who loved Macklemore for his smart, socially conscious lyrics may want to revise the tune they’re singing about what the rapper supposedly represents.

Les Misérables Coming Back to Broadway in March 2014

A new stage version of the blockbuster musical “Les Misérables” will open on Broadway in March 2014, the producer Cameron Mackintosh said on Tuesday, in an attempt to capitalize on the popularity of the Oscar-nominated film and restore luster to the show in New York after a short-lived 2006 revival that even Mr. Mackintosh now admits was ill-conceived.

This latest “Les Misérables” will be missing a notable design element – a revolving turntable – that was used in the original Broadway production, which ran from 1987 to 2003, and the earlier revival, which closed in January 2008. The new version, which has been touring the United States for two years, also features redesigned scenery based on Victor Hugo’s paintings for his original novel, as well as new orchestrations that, as Mr. Mackintosh said, “get away from the crude electric-piano sound of the original.” And the staging is also different, with an emphasis on the gritty lot of the 19th century downtrodden in France; the directors are Laurence Connor and James Powell. (Trevor Nunn and John Caird won Tonys for their direction in 1987.)

Mr. Mackintosh is counting on these changes – plus the interest in the film, which has grossed nearly $400 million globally so far – to be enough to counter the risk of oversaturation of the “Les Misérables” brand.

“What we’re counting on is that people who loved the movie will now really want to see ‘Les Misérables’ on stage, and people who loved the original musical were swept up by the film and say, ‘I can’t wait for another chance to see it onstage again,’” said Mr. Mackintosh, the veteran producer of historic hits like “Cats” and the long-running “Phantom of the Opera.”

What is your favorite character to write for?
I love writing for all of the characters, but I have a soft spot for Peter, because he can be such a cynical, honest voice. It’s fun to be bad.

~ 'My Mad Fat Diary' series finale - Guardian review

My Mad Fat Diary gives us the bigger picture

The final episode of the magnificent My Mad Fat Diary on E4 was aired last night. This was our last chance to spend time with the titular diary's author, Rae Earl, who is 16 years old and 16 stone. Earl knows what she wants (a hot boy is perfectly described as causing "Gushington Central"), but she's convinced that she'll never get to act on her desires, stuck as she is in the "wrong" shaped body. The brilliantly conceived fantasy scene in episode two, where Earl finds the zip at the back of her neck that allows her to peel her way out of her fat prison, is achingly resonant of what a fat body can feel like. Sarah Millican has said she wished the show was on when she was young. I have to agree.

In HBO's Girls, Lena Dunham's character Hannah isn't as fat as Earl, but her body is chunkier that we are used to seeing on screen – where female bodies are almost exclusively young, white and (very) thin. She is certainly fat enough that when, in the latest episode, One Man's Trash, Hannah has a brief affair with an attractive doctor, this simple twist of plot is met with surprised gasps. One critic even compared the likelihood of Hannah's fling with an Adonis to a man giving birth to a sandwich: basically, a physical impossibility.

Gah! Of course women who look like Hannah get to have sex; where do you think more women who look like Hannah are gonna come from? But the "oh, my poor boner" brigade complaining about Hannah's body not looking like the bodies that ought to be on TV led to other responses that were far more interesting, such as women saying that seeing Hannah's body made them feel better about their own.

These feelings aren't surprising. I've got a couple of decades on Hannah and Earl, but I can remember what it felt like to be a young fatty, with a body that didn't fit clothes or expectations (it's not that different from being a middle-aged fatty). Not only do I agree with Millican that these programmes would have made me happier when I was younger; they make me happier now.

Collapse )

so what did you all think of the finale or the entire series even? 10/10 from me. Bravo to the show and its writers, actors etc. I need the soundtrack from this show asap.

Srsly, Please Start Watching 'Enlightened'

When Enlightened premiered a year ago, it instantly became one of the most interesting shows on television. What was this half-hour, low-key series about a woman, Amy Jellicoe (Laura Dern), piecing her life back together and going back to work for a big, Johnson & Johnson-like company after some kind of stress-related breakdown? It wasn’t a sitcom, or even necessarily a comedy, and it wasn’t a “prestige drama” of the sort HBO has done several times before. Amy wasn’t a straightforward hero, certainly, but she wasn’t an anti-hero, either. And the other characters on the show similarly veered from endearing and awkward to unsympathetic and even repellent.

The show didn’t push for plot twists or melodrama—and its mellowness seemed to make it a tough sell. The trailer for the second season promised more to come with the whistleblower plot, in which Amy uncovers dirty deeds by her employer, and the first six episodes have delivered. But the show has kept its focus on the characters and their inner lives and their relationships with each other. Dermot Mulroney’s muckraking journalist, whom Amy contacts in her quest for justice (and, arguably, attention), seemed a little broad for the series, initially. But he’s become—as Jeffrey Bloomer and Miriam Krule noted in the most recent installment of Slate’s Enlightened TV Club—something like the successful, male equivalent of Amy, a vain, pushy person who’s a bit full of himself, perhaps, but not wrong about the big stuff and not without goodness in his intentions.

'We The Peeples' Now Called - "Tyler Perry Presents Peeples" + First Photo

It looks like the marketing machine has began spinning for Tina Gordon Chism's We The Peeples, which stars Craig Robinson, David Alan Grier, Kerry Washington, S. Epatha Merkerson, Melvin Van Peebles, Diahann Carroll, and Kali Hawk.

Produced by Tyler Perry, Stephanie Allain (also director of the Los Angeles Film Festival) and Paul Hall, the film centers on Robinson's character, a young man enduring the weekend from hell when he surprises his girlfriend by showing up to meet her parents.

The full synopsis for We The Peeples reads:

Wade Walker is eager to propose to his girlfriend, Grace Peeples. But after a year of living together, the beautiful, successful Grace is still cagey about introducing average guy Wade to her ambitious, upper crust family. So when Grace leaves for an annual reunion at her parents’ swanky Sag Harbor compound, Wade decides to crash the gathering, charm his soon-to-be in-laws and slip a ring on Grace’s finger. However Wade's plans go hilariously awry when he meets the high-powered, seemingly picture-perfect family who’ll do whatever it takes to keep up appearances. Wade soon finds himself caught in a web of white lies and comic dysfunction, and realizes that his only hope of ever marrying Grace means a take-no-prisoners face-off with Judge Peeples, Grace’s disapproving dad who won’t accept anything less than the very best for his favorite daughter.

David O. Russell to Direct Jennifer Lawrence in 'The Ends of the Earth'

Oscar nominee David O. Russell has committed to reunite with Jennifer Lawrence on the drama The Ends of the Earth, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

The Silver Linings Playbook filmmaker has come aboard to direct the Weinstein Co drama, a fact-based love story about a powerful oil tycoon who has everything stripped from him after he is caught in an affair. Russell could tackle the project after his next movie, an untitled drama he will film in New York and Boston beginning in March with Bradley Cooper, Christian Bale and Amy Adams.

Russell clearly enjoys staffing his movies with familiar faces.

Jennifer possesses a self-deprecating humor that made all of the cast and crew feel at ease," Russell tells THR in a statement. "She is that kind of person.” He continues: "She is the most dedicated person I know. She is devoted to her family and they have been the true inspiration for her character and integrity. Her acting is effortless and she always makes it look easy.”

The film is being produced by Todd Black, Steve Tisch and Jason Blumenthal of Escape Artists and was written by Argo screenwriter Chris Terrio.

“Jennifer Lawrence is one of the most versatile actresses we have ever seen, Black and Tisch tell THR in a joint statement. "Her performance in Silver Linings was transcendent and was truly the heart and soul of the film. Jennifer was basically asked to play 4 personalities - depressed, sexy, romantic and a wild dancer - and did them all brilliantly. After seeing that performance we knew we had our anchor for Ends of the Earth. Her dedication to the craft and all those who work with her is inspiring and if she is the future of our business we are certainly in good hands."

mods, it's a different movie than the one that was posted already

Oscars Fashion Disasters

Over a generation, citizens of popular culture have watched as a fundamental source of pleasure has vanished from view: the red-carpet fashion “disaster.” (I use the scare quotes because disaster is the accepted shorthand but the wrong word—the accurate term would be something like “Red-Carpet Fashion Deviations from an Established but Somewhat Arbitrary Norm.”) Especially at the annual Academy Awards ceremony, the stakes have become so high for actresses and their reps that emergency-management teams of stylists, groomers and go-to designers have all but foreclosed the possibility of true catastrophe.

This is unfortunate. A functioning Oscar-fashion ecosystem should not consist solely of elegant swans—it also needs an occasional Swan Dress. (For real, does anyone remember anything about the 2001 Oscar ceremony other than Björk’s Swan Dress?) But the highly polished awards season thus far holds out little promise that a challenger to the Can-Can Mullet (Geena Davis, 1992) or the Plus-Size Backward Pantsuit (Céline Dion, 2000) will emerge during the awards on Sunday, Feb. 24.

So this list is a look back at a mostly extinct phenomenon, and like any endeavor tinged with grief, it is highly subjective and slightly irrational. It begins near the turn of the 1990s, a fertile era for Oscar fashion disasters but one not too far removed from the homogenizing advent of the professional stylist. It values a sense of humor, and privileges the explosively weird over the merely unfortunate. (Or the literal-minded: Faith Hill’s Rainbow Sherbet gown of 2002 was on the list until I remembered it was the same year she sang “Over the Rainbow.”) It does not include Cher, because Cher is a concept with its own norms from which Cher-qua-Cher cannot deviate. Most importantly, for me at least, is that most of these ensembles are fascinating not for what they are but for what they represent: the vertiginous threshold space between idea and result, between what you see in the mirror at home and the mirror the world then holds up to you.

So, in your opinion, which are worst/best Oscar dresses of all time?

Kristen Wiig Joins Arrested Development Revival

As far as casting news goes, this is about as good as it gets: Former Saturday Night Live superstar Kristen Wiig is set to make an appearance in Netflix’s anticipated Arrested Development revival as a younger version of Jessica Walter’s boozy matriarch Lucille Bluth.

As noted by Vulture, which first broke the news, AD leading man Jason Bateman likely orchestrated the casting coup, given his off screen friendship with Wiig (the pair co-starred in the comedies Extract and Paul).

Last month, Netflix announced that Arrested Development‘s 14-episode fourth season would be available sometime in May.

Gregg Sulkin Lands 'Delirium' Role.

Gregg Sulkin has just joined the cast of the upcoming Fox series Delirium!

According to Deadline, the 20-year-old British actor has landed a role in the small screen adaption, based on the book of the same name from Lauren Oliver.

Delirium is set in world where love is deemed illegal and is able to be eradicated with a special procedure. But with 95 days to go until her scheduled treatment, defiant teen Lena Holoway (Emma Roberts) does the unthinkable and falls in love.

Gregg is set to play Julian Fineman, the son of wealthy political leader who supports the use of the brain modification, which has Julien conflicted about having to undergo a surgery to remove his feelings.

Discussion: Has Lil Wayne Gone Too Far?

Lil Wayne has come under fire recently for his controversial lyrics in the remix to Future's "Karate Chop".  In the song near 3:05, Wayne says he is going to "Beat the pussy up like Emmet Till".

Emmet Till was a 14 year old boy who was taken from his home and brutally beaten and murdered after he allegedly flirted with a white woman.  Since his passing, he has become a prominent figure from the civil rights movement.

Upon the backlash from media and Till's family, Epic Records has issued an apology stating they had not heard the lyrics before it leaked and have since pulled the song and commercially re-released a censored version.  Wayne himself has not made any statements or apologies in regards to the matter.

Rob Kardashian Admits He Was Willing To Ruin Rita Ora’s Reputation Because He Was Mad

There is nothing like a bitter man! Let it burn!!!
Last year, Rob Kardashian had the internet going crazy after he posted a series of tweets accusing singer Rita Ora of cheating on him with over 20 dudes in the industry.  The tweets, which he deleted immediately, went viral faster than a blink of an eye and #RitaWhora became a top trending topic while all types of rumors began to circulate surrounding her personal life.

Apparently, Rob was livid because he had dated Rita for over a year and was never allowed to admit that they were an item because she was a newcomer in the entertainment industry who wanted to present herself as a single woman.  According to his sister Khloe, the relationship made Rob depressed and he even gained 40 pounds while dating Rita.

Rob also admits: I posted what I posted to keep myself from taking her back. Every time she messed up, I took her back for over a year now. I just had to do that to make her hate me.

Even though he could have possibly ruined her reputation, Rob’s only concern out of the whole thing was that people would look at him as being weak: I don’t want people to think I’m being a b-tch.

Well, there aren’t many other words that would describe someone who would stoop THAT low.  Of course, Rob being a bitter Betty after his break up with Rita will be all played out on an upcoming episode of Kourtney & Kim Take Miami.

well, while we're at it... any horrible break up stories?

Mila Kunis up for a That '70s Show reunion

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

It's time for Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis to brush off those bellbottoms.

Kunis tells me she is so into a That '70s Show reunion.

"I'm more than game for it," she said this weekend while promoting Oz The Great and Powerful, her upcoming fantasy adventure flick costarring James Franco, Michelle Williams and Rachel Weisz.

"I've said it before—I would love to do it…Yeah, I would totally do it," she added. "Why not? I loved it. It was eight years and they were eight amazing years of my life."

It's time to make this happen!

Only if Jackie/Hyde gets back together because fuck Jackie/Fez.

Elysium’s ready as director Blomkamp looks ahead to next project

Elysium, the long-awaited follow-up to Vancouver director Neill Blomkamp’s District 9, is all but done now, awaiting a theatrical release in August.

“It’s kind of weird that it sits on a shelf and doesn’t come out until August 9th but I think a summer release is fantastic for the film,” says Blomkamp in an e-mail.

The new movie stars Matt Damon and Jodie Foster in a sci-fi story about a future where humanity’s elite have fled the ruined Earth for orbiting space stations while the planet’s poor struggle to survive.

The 33-year-old Blomkamp moved to Vancouver as a teen with his family from South Africa, and quickly earned a reputation as a digital effects prodigy in Vancouver’s busy effects scene.

His debut feature, 2009’s District 9, catapulted him to the front ranks of feature directors, a box-office and critical hit that also earned Oscar nominations for best picture, best screenplay (for Blomkamp and Terri Tatchell, his wife and writing partner), best editing for Vancouver’s Julian Clarke and best visual effects for a team based out of Vancouver’s Image Engine.

I don't care if this post only get 2 comments, the team from District 9 is fabulous (I also love the fact that a woman co-wrote the screenplay especially on a movie that tackles on heavy subjects and gore), Also looking forward to him making a movie in the comedy genre.

Greg Weisman Comments On Young Justice's Cancellation

Impulse Being Awesome

Although the fate of Cartoon Network’s Young Justice is pretty clear, producer Greg Weisman doesn’t appear to be closing the door to the possibility of more episodes, even after the show’s second, and presumably last, season comes to a close this spring.

Talking to The World’s Finest fan site about the final issue of his Young Justice comic series, which arrives Wednesday, Weisman said, “I’m not writing an epitaph here. But the nature of the business is that you never know if you’re going to be picked up for more episodes or issues. So whether it’s Captain Atom, Gargoyles, W.I.T.C.H., The Spectacular Spider-Man or Young Justice, I always try to end each season or run at a good place to stop, with what I like to call open-ended closure...”

In other words, the show will end with a cliffhanger and we'll never get full closure.

Paul Thomas Anderson on the cover of Port Mag. edited by Daniel Day Lewis

For one of cinema’s most reclusive talents, Daniel Day-Lewis has certainly been making the rounds. Now, ahead of the Oscars, the stylish men’s quarterly Port Magazine tells T that the actor is guest-editing its film issue, which hits newsstands on March 14. “Having Daniel share his friendships with me has been a humbling experience which sometimes left me speechless. On occasion, such as a lunch interview with Ray Winstone, which turned into a two day party, I was left legless,” says Port’s editor, Dan Crowe. “The fact that he was able to do this during the awards season and all the work he had on with ‘Lincoln’ is incredible.” Port and Day-Lewis even convinced Winstone, the lovable Cockney rogue, to introduce the issue in the following video clip.

2 new Lianne La Havas Videos!

British export Lianne La Havas has been enjoying a whirlwind last few weeks stateside. Since the beginning of February alone, she's wowed audiences on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, been honored at the 4th Annual ESSENCE Black Women in Music event and
performed at the 15th Annual GRAMMY Foundation Music Preservation Project, to name a few things. She's red hot right now and her firecontinues to smolder in a pair new music videos that she released for the tracks "Elusive" and "Gone" today.

In "Elusive," La Havas oozes sex appeal by merely glancing into the camera, but she serves up more than come-hither looks while a man's hands lovingly caress her face. She joins a group of modern dancers practicing in a studio and shares a palpable chemistry with the tall, dark and dreadlocked instructor that's felt whether they're together or dancing with other partners. Where will their desire lead them? Well, not where you might think in this first half of a two-part video that continues in "Gone." The first video has a hopeful, happy ending, but that ultimately turns out to be short-lived.
