Japanese actress Riisa Naka criticizes AKB48's "dehumanizing" dating ban

Actress Riisa Naka (23) took to twitter to express her outrage over the dating ban imposed on AKB48 members.

The latest scandal engulfing the group involves Minami Minegishi (20), who shaved her hair in penance for breaking AKB48's dating rules after it was reported by tabloid Shukan Bunshun that she had spent the night at her boyfriend's place. Naka publicly criticized the no-dating rule through a series of tweets.

"I feel bad that (Minegishi) can't experience dating like any other normal person. That much she should be allowed, she's human after all," wrote the actress.

"Idols should only be expected to be idols when they're on TV. If you can't respect someone's privacy then you have no business calling yourself a fan," Naka also said.

When asked by her followers what she would do if her agency tried to impose a dating ban on her, Naka candidly answered "I would disregard it entirely, lol."

"You only live once so I say make the most of it!! A dating ban is a dehumanizing rule," she added.

Woman Obsessed With Licking Cat On TLC’s My Strange Addiction

The latest oddball individual to be profiled on My Strange Addiction — TLC’s series about people with unusual habits and lifestyles — gets her kicks when she licks her cat, and then eat the hair it sheds.

“The best ones are right off the cat,” said Lisa, who’s been engaging in the unusual practice for 15 years.

The 43-year-old Detroit native, comparing herself to “a mama cat … with her kittens,” said that the bizarre habit enhances her bond with the feline.

“Just chewing it is relaxing,” said Lisa, who often grooms the cat directly with her tongue. “It’s a comforting feeling, her fur is such an interesting texture. So soft and puffy and like cotton candy.”

Lisa, who gobbles the bite-size clumps of hair as if they were hors d’oeuvres, said that in no way does her habit border on bestiality, as she doesn’t get as involved as another cat would.

“I’m not licking her butt!”

Bitch is nasty, TLC is such a hot mess...what are your addictions, ONTD? Mine are shopping and vodka.

New Polly Scattergood Single: "Wanderlust"

Following the unfortunately named but captivating “Disco Damaged Kid,” posted to YouTube in November, “Wanderlust” is the first proper single from Polly Scattergood’s sophomore album, Arrows, out in June via Mute. The song starts with something like the sound of a UFO landing, then launches into a full-on electro ballad, a fittingly tough-sounding techno-vehicle to carry Polly Scattergood’s wispy phantom of a voice. The instrumentation is more conventionally pop than her 2009 debut, and it suits her well. The “Wanderlust” single will feature two exciting remixes, by Charli XCX and How to Dress Well.

Her last record was one of my all-time favourites. This sounds less challenging but still good.

Church Of Scientology Pays $8 Million To Run Commercial During Super Bowl

While the commercials that air during the Super Bowl always attract a lot of attention, one spot, in particular, has people talking.

The Church of Scientology paid nearly $8 million to run a highly-stylized, 60-second commercial not long after the game went into halftime Sunday night.

“To the curious, the inquisitive, the seekers of knowledge,” an unseen narrator says at the beginning of the commercial, which features a parade of attractive, and mostly young, actors staring at the camera. “To the ones who just want to know about life, about the universe, about yourself.

“Not cute questions, big questions, one’s that matter,’ the unseen narrator says. ‘To the rebels, the artists, the free thinkers and the innovators who care less about labels and more about truth,” the narrator continues.

What’s particularly interesting about the spot is that the narrator never mentions ‘Scientology’ by name, and it isn’t until ‘scientology.org’ flashes on the screen in the spot’s final few seconds that you realize it’s a commercial for the controversial religious organization.

Ratings. Although Sunday’s Super Bowl broke a ratings record in metered markets, Deadline reports that Beyoncé failed top last year’s performer, Madonna, in ratings measured during the halftime-show half-hour. RuPaul, Sharon Needles, Raja, Lady Bunny And Other Drag Queens Offer Up Life Lessons ( With A Side o

Drag legend RuPaul ends every episode of the hit Logo reality show "RuPaul's Drag Race" with the pronounced, preacher-like query: "If you can't love yourself, how in the hell are you gonna love somebody else?"

And it's in those words that many "Drag Race" fans find hope and inspiration.

Beyond the glitz and glamor -- painted faces, big wigs and extravagant clothing -- drag queens can teach us a thing or two about serving up some "You better work!" confidence. Sure, some of that comes with the throwing of a little shade, but none of that compares with tapping into and bolstering your own self-worth and love.

So in that spirit, HuffPost Gay Voices asked some of our favorite drag queens their thoughts on what doing drag has taught them. Check out our exclusive round-up of life lessons from RuPaul, Sharon Needles, Lady Bunny and 12 other queens in the slideshow below.

Justin Bieber Raps Again, Joins Juicy J on Maejor Ali's "Lolly".

Who is Maejor Ali and how did he manage to get both Justin Bieber and Juicy J to guest with a couple rap verses on his song “Lolly”? Well, Maejor Ali used to go by Bei Maejor, so does that clue help? He’s a singer/producer who’s been floating around the industry for a while now, having teamed up with the likes of Frank Ocean, Drake and Waka Flocka Flame.

The guy’s got some industry cred, so it’s not completely crazy that Bieber appears on this track, though it is a bit odd that he appears as a rapper. Bieber’s in full swaggy mode, talking about stealing your girl and banishing you from the guest list. But our favorite line, by far, is “I’m all fancy, yeah, I’m poppin’ Pellegrino.” The man drinks only the finest sparkling waters! Also, if you assumed that “Lolly” was continuing the “lollipop as sexual metaphor” thing that Lil Wayne did so effectively on “Lollipop,” well, you earned a gold star for today.

The wrong Direction: Racy Radio 1 DJ treats Harry to a stripper for his 19th birthday

As a man losing listeners at a rapid rate, you wouldn’t think Nick Grimshaw had much to celebrate. And having been blasted by parents as a ‘poor role model’ after a series of lewd remarks on Twitter, the Radio 1 DJ might want to consider keeping his head down. Instead he managed to upset even more people at the weekend – notably One Direction fans – by organising a lap dance for the band’s Harry Styles at a boozy party.

Photographs emerged of the un-named young woman stripping down to black lacy underwear while straddling the pop star at his 19th birthday bash. Grimshaw was pictured laughing hysterically during the ten-minute £100 striptease. A source at the restaurant said: ‘Nick seemed pretty pleased with himself when the stripper started her routine. He found it hilarious. Harry seemed embarrassed and didn’t know where to look, but he took it in good spirit.’

In September, Grimshaw, 28, was brought in to replace Chris Moyles as the presenter of the Radio 1 breakfast slot. But despite hopes that he would attract younger fans, the latest figures show he has pulled the lowest audience for almost seven years. The DJ, often seen partying with celebrity friends just hours before his early morning radio show, was criticised by concerned parents last year for using ‘foul language’ on his Twitter account.

Grimshaw joined Pixie Geldof and TV presenter Miquita Oliver for Styles’ birthday celebrations. The group of 40 friends drank 99 margaritas, 20 Jägerbombs, ten bottles of wine, beer and several bottles of Perrier-Jouët champagne in just three hours at Rita’s Bar and Dining, in Dalston, East London. Styles, who picked up the £2,000 bill, told a national newspaper it was a ‘great night’. Recalling the striptease, he said: ‘I was in stitches, it was really funny…unfortunately there was a no nudity policy in the bar.’ A source at the bar said a member of the group asked if the stripper could remove all of her clothing, but was refused. Staff said the guests later had a food fight with three specially-commissioned birthday cakes – carrot, chocolate and banoffee flavour. The group went on to The Alibi nightclub in East London, where they stayed until 4.15am. It was the second night out in a row for Grimshaw and Styles, who partied with actor James Corden until 4am the previous day at Soho’s Groucho Club. Yesterday, One Direction fans were quick to blame Grimshaw for the stripper episode, with one tweeting he was a ‘bad influence’.

Justin Timberlake Shares Wedding Secrets, Talks New The 20/20 Experience Album

Recording a comeback album and planning a huge Italian wedding? All in a day's work for Justin Timberlake.

The "Suit & Tie" singer called into On Air With Ryan Seacrest this morning to discussing his upcoming album The 20/20 Experience, and the Timberbiel wedding came up in conversation when the singer was asked if his music making interfered with planning the October I-dos.

Turns out, Justin took a back seat to wife Jessica Biel, letting his beautiful bride take the reins planning the pair's big day. "A lot of it was done before October…and I don't know how many of you are married or in a relationship, but I think the men can speak for me by saying that type of process you really just say ‘Whatever you want, honey.'"

The hunky star continued, confessing he left the details up to Jess.: "Every photo, everything you saw from that event…I was riding shotgun. I said ‘Whatever you want, honey," he said with a chuckle.

Timberlake also gushed over his hit song "Suit & Tie," and admits he's proud of his music making after a six-year hiatus.

"There aren't many R&B dance records on the radioit seemed fresh to Tim [Timberland] and I and obviously Jay and we just felt like ‘yeah let's put it out," he said of this hit single before adding, "I love the record."

As for what we can expect from Justin's upcoming Grammy performance and tour?

"You'll hear some stuff you've never heard," the surprise-loving singer teased.

“Ace Of Cakes” Duff Goldman Steps Up For Lesbian Couple Stiffed By Bigoted Baker

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Not long after news surfaced that an Oregon baker was refusing to make a wedding cake for a lesbian couple, Ace of Cakes star Duff Goldman stepped up and offered to make the women the cake of their dreams.
In January, master baker Aaron Klein told the couple that his company, Sweet Cakes, was declining their business—and called them “abominations unto the Lord.” His actions violate Oregon’s anti-discrimination laws, but rather than wait for this to drag out in court, Goldman went on HuffPo Live and told host Mike Sachs he’d make their wedding cake for free—and even bring it all the way from his bakery in Los Angeles to the women out in Portland.

“This guy’s an idiot,” Goldman tells Sachs about Klein. “For a cake decorator to feel like he really needed to take a stand…it makes no sense, It’s petty, it’s small.”

That's really sweet of him. But hopefully their cake will not look like he made it. :X

After months of speculation surrounding the Boy Meets World reboot, Girl Meets World, it seems like the pieces are finally starting to come together. Since then, producers have also filled the spot of Riley’s best friend, Maya (Sabrina Carpenter), and announced the addition of two more roles (including one, Shamus Farkle, who sounds a whole lot like BMW’s resident geek Minkus). So, who else can we expect to see on Girl Meets World? And what will Cory and Topanga be like now that they’re all grown up? Entertainment Weekly spoke to Boy Meets World creator Michael Jacobs, who is exec producing the Girl Meets World pilot for Disney, to get the scoop on what fans of the coming-of-age classic should expect.

Bolshoi Prima Ballerina surfaces in Canada, says threats drove her from Russia

A renowned Russian ballerina with the famed Bolshoi Theatre has decided against returning home from Canada because she fears for her safety, a Russian newspaper reported. In its report, the Izvestia daily cited Svetlana Lunkina as receiving threats and facing blackmail.
“We need to react to these threats,” Lunkina told Izvestia. “These people have no right to interfere in our private lives or my professional work.”
She did not elaborate on the nature of the threats. The Izvetia report comes after an acid attack on the Bolshoi’s chief that left his face burned.

The prima ballerina, 33, who has been in Canada for the last six months, registered a dance studio last October in Kleinburg, Ont., just north of Toronto, and will be teaching at a city studio for a month starting Friday. Kevin Pugh, artistic director with Dance Teq, said he met Lunkina when she came to the studio to take classes last fall. “When I was in the hospital, she subbed for me once and people loved her,” Pugh told The Canadian Press. “I just had to wait to see if she had her papers.”
Pugh, a former dancer with the National Ballet of Canada, said Lunkina is a permanent resident and has her work permit. He said he doesn’t know her that well yet but said she seemed “a little nervous” about giving out her contact details.

The Bolshoi Theatre is one of Russia’s premier cultural institutions. It is best known for Swan Lake and the other grand classical ballets that grace its Moscow stage.

But backstage, the ballet company has been troubled by deep intrigue and infighting that have led to the departure of several artistic directors over the last few years.Earlier this month, someone splashed artistic director Sergei Filin with acid.

Lunkina, who has danced with the Bolshoi since 1997, said there is no apparent connection between the threats against her and the acid attack.

Shameless Shameless 3.04 Sneak Peeks

Last week on Shameless, Frank did one of the worst things he's ever done by using Carl as a pawn to get a signed basketball - to pawn. After seeing a news spot on an ill little boy receiving a signed ball from the Chicago Bulls, which people at the bar said could go for a couple grand, Frank convinced Carl that he had cancer and shaved his head, only to find out that the wait for the ball could be a year. Undeterred, Frank eventually got Carl into a camp for cancer patients, which Carl was looking forward to due to not ever having went to a "regular" camp. Would he still feel that way once the time to leave drew closer?
Yes and no. On the next episode of Shameless, it's time for Carl to go to camp and while he might be ready to go hunting and enjoy all that camp has to offer, he's worried that he's going to die. Rather than either offering comforting words for his son or telling him that he doesn't actually have cancer, Frank only informs him that "time will tell" and that he'll be working on a cure while Carl's gone. Frank Gallagher has done a lot of awful things during the 2+ season run of Shameless, in addition to everything that transpired beforehand that got us to this point, but if he continues letting Carl believe that he's got cancer, this might be his worst yet.
Elsewhere on Shameless, Jimmy gets bad news about his parents, Sheila worries about the state of her relationship with Jody, Lip and Mandy attempt to rescue her half sister from foster care, and Fiona teams up with the other workers at the store against their boss.

Sony likely to unveil PlayStation 4 on Feb. 20

Release comes after Nntendo lauched Wii U last fall; Microsoft expected to launch Xbox game console at June's E3

Video gamers have been eagerly awaiting the Playstation 4 for seven years.

Sony is poised to unveil the next PlayStation in New York City on Feb. 20.

The Japanese electronics giant invited journalists to an evening press event. The company has not said what it plans to show off, but signs indicate that it’ll be the PlayStation 4.

Such a console would follow Nintendo’s Wii U, which launched last fall, and precede Microsoft Corp.’s next Xbox game console, which will likely be unveiled in June at the E3 video game conference in Los Angeles.

Wedbush analyst Michael Pachter says it’s a “super smart” move for Sony Corp. to pre-empt Microsoft’s expected launch by several months. This way, the PlayStation 4 will get the spotlight without much competition.

Sony would only say it “will deliver and speak about the future PlayStation business.”

Alicia Keys Criticized For Performing Anthem While... SITTING *gasp*

Alicia Keys is getting glowing reviews for her rendition of the national anthem at this weekend's Super Bowl. However, she is also getting criticized for not standing during the performance, during which she was seated behind a grand piano. Some have assumed this is why the NFL is blocking the video of Alicia singing "The Star-Spangled Banner."

"It was disrespectful," one morning show producer told The Huffington Post. "They had enough time and manpower to think of this before the performance. They could have had her stand at her piano keyboard and sing. To me and a lot of my friends, she sounded great but the visual was wrong."

Donald Trump's mother is no orangutan-banger ... so says the Donald himself in a new, actually-filed lawsuit obtained by TMZ. Seriously, Trump actually filed this

The Donald just sue Bill Maher or $5 MILLION ... claiming the HBO talk show host is skipping out on his promise to donate $5 mil to charity if Trump could prove he isn't the spawn of his mother having sex with an orangutan

According to Trump, Maher made the offer during an appearance on "Leno" ... after Trump had made a $5 million challenge to President Obama regarding POTUS' birth certificate

In his suit, filed today in L.A. County Superior Court, Trump says he formally responded to Maher's challenge with a copy of his birth certificate, proving he is, in fact, the "son of Fred Trump" ... who is not a member of the Great Ape family

Trump claims 5 "worthy charities" have now been deprived of millions of dollars in donations ... and it's all Maher's fault.

Grammys 2013: Rihanna, Sting and Bruno Mars to collaborate

So a Bajan dance-pop femme fatale, a neo-Motown crooner and a bass-wielding British titan of tantra walk into a bar ... or rather, onto the Grammys stage this weekend.

CBS announced Monday that the unlikely collaboration of Rihanna, Bruno Mars and Sting is the latest addition to the telecast set for this Sunday. Kelly Clarkson, fresh off her well-received (and live) performance at President Obama's inaugural, will also perform her own set.

There's no news as to what the trio will perform, but they will certainly make for an unorthodox stylistic mashup.

The group joins a wide slate of confirmed Grammy performers including the Black Keys, Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake, Frank Ocean and Elton John.

Also added to the telecast as a presenter? Beyoncé, who has singlehandedly dominated all pop-music conversation since her performance at Obama's inaugural. She followed that by going live with the national anthem at a Super Bowl press conference, then reuniting with Destiny's Child (perhaps passive-aggressively?) and generating enough heat with her performance at the Super Bowl on Sunday to possibly cause a power outage at the Superdome in New Orleans. Then she announced a new world tour.

CBS will broadcast the Grammys live from Staples Center on Sunday, except on the West Coast, where they will begin at 8 p.m. Pacific time.

lololol Rihanna to perform next to Bruno Mars, who's actually a performer? Girl is going to look even worse than usual. I'm already embarrassed for her.

Yoko Ono Honors Julian Assange With Special Annual Courage Award

Yoko Ono honored Julian Assange at her Courage Awards for the Arts ceremony in New York on Sunday evening, calling the Wikileaks founder and political refugee "courageous" for his work.

Assange accepted in absentia, as he is currently in hiding in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London; he is in exile from Sweden, where he is facing allegations of rape and sexual assault.

"Our public officials have forgotten that they are ultimately accountable to the people who put them in office; that the information they keep in secrecy belongs to all of us," Ono said. "Julian Assange took a courageous step by rightfully returning what belongs to the public domain. For that reason, I believe we need to stand behind him."

Assange's Wikileaks has faced hostility from the United States government for its leak of sensitive documents. Assange, in a speech given by associates accepting the award on his behalf, dedicated the prize to the hackers working at the organization.

"Through their courage and wit they are revealing the true nature of our global human civilization," his statement said. "This is how we may reform it. Elevate it – and make it just, beyond its humble origins. Their courage in documenting war crimes, gross human rights violations, and the corruption of our societies is unequalled."

The evening also featured a tribute to Aaron Swartz, the co-founder of Reddit and Internet freedom activist who committed suicide in January as he faced federal charges for downloading documents from the MIT server.

A film about Assange called The Fifth Estate, which will star Benedict Cumberbatch, is currently in pre-production.

More information about the director and actor in Budweiser's "Brotherhood" commercial

Creativity Chat: Jake Scott, Director of Bud's New Clydesdale Super Bowl Ad
He's Carrying the Torch; Helped Father Ridley Scott on Classic "1984"

Our special series of Creativity interviews with directors of the Super Bowl's top ads continues with RSA Films' Jake Scott, the director of Budweiser's "Brotherhood" and Kia's "Space Babies." Make sure to check out our two earlier Q&A's with Noam Murro (Taco Bell's "Viva Young") and Tom Kuntz (VW's "Get Happy"). Stay tuned for the final piece in the series on Monday, a chat with actor and Iron Man franchise director Jon Favreau, who shot Samsung's Super Bowl spot.

Director Jake Scott of RSA Films has been behind the lens for some of advertising's most celebrated commercials (Nike's "Move" and "Magnet"; HBO's "Voyeur"). For this year's Super Bowl, he shot two big spots. One was Kia's "Space Babies" out of David & Goliath in Los Angeles and the other, was tear-jerker of the big game, Budweiser's "Brotherhood." Created out of Anomaly, it tells the story of a horse trainer united with a long lost friend -- a Clydesdale. In the wrong hands, the tale easily could have easily succumbed to schmaltz, but Mr. Scott's restrained approach makes it one of the most captivating spots airing on game day.

He spent some time chatting with Creativity about how he kept the spot's emotion authentic and he reveals his thoughts about directing in the shadow of the man who arguably made the Super Bowl the commercials extravaganza it is today -- his father Ridley Scott, director of Apple's "1984."

An NBA Player Gave His Teammates “Disney Fairies” Valentines

The type you passed out in elementary school to everyone. Bravo, Andray Blatche.

If I asked you which player on the Brooklyn Nets you thought was most likely to distribute 'Disney Fairies' Valentines to his fellow teammates, complete with little inspirational messages, you would probably guess goofy backup center Andray Blatche, and you would be correct.

We hope "Dray Bear" also had cards for Deron Williams and the rest of the boys, because the first rule of elementary school valentines is that IF YOU DON'T HAVE ENOUGH FOR EVERYBODY THEN NOBODY GETS ONE.

‘Beyond reasonable doubt’: King Richard III’s battle-scarred skeleton found buried Leicester parking lot
Jill Lawless, Associated Press

He wore the English crown, but he ended up defeated, humiliated and reviled.

Now things are looking up for King Richard III. Scientists announced Monday that they had found the monarch’s 500-year-old remains under a parking lot in the city of Leicester — a discovery Richard’s fans say will rewrite the history books.

University of Leicester researchers say tests on a battle-scarred skeleton unearthed last year prove “beyond reasonable doubt” that it is the king, who died at the Battle of Bosworth Field in 1485, and whose remains have been missing for centuries.

“Richard III, the last Plantaganet King of England, has been found,” said the university’s deputy registrar, Richard Taylor.

Bone specialist Jo Appleby said study of the bones provided “a highly convincing case for identification of Richard III.”

And DNA from the skeleton matched a sample taken from a distant living relative of Richard’s sister. Geneticist Turi King said London, Ont.-born Michael Ibsen, a 55-year-old Canadian carpenter now living in Britain, shares with the skeleton a rare strain of mitochondrial DNA. She said combined with the archaeological evidence, that left little doubt the skeleton belonged to Richard.

Ibsen said he was “stunned” to discover he was related to the king — he is a 17th great-grand-nephew of Richard’s older sister.

“It’s difficult to digest,” he said.

NBC Actually Makes a Good Decision for Once; Picks Up John Mulaney's Sitcom!

NBC handed out its 13th comedy pilot order Friday.

The network has picked up a semi-autobiographical comedy written by and starring hot stand-up comedian John Mulaney and executive produced by Saturday Night Live's Lorne Michaels.

The multicamera comedy is described as young ensemble vehicle loosely based on Mulaney's life.

The Universal Television entry hails from Michaels' Broadway Video shingle and 3 Arts and, should it go to series, would join Broadway's Up All Night at the network -- should the sophomore comedy's upcoming reboot prove successful.

The untitled comedy was one of a handful of projects Michaels' Broadway Video had in development this season, including entries starring Saturday Night Live's Kenan Thompson and Seth Meyers.

Michaels will exec produce the Mulaney project alongside Andrew Singer, Dave Becky and David Miner.

'Rules of Engagement' and other TV sitcoms that refused to die

It's baaaaaack ...

Rules of Engagement may be the Energizer bunny of sitcoms; the middling CBS comedy starring David Spade and Patrick Warburton flat-out refuses to die. After canceling it last spring, the network changed its mind, went back to the TV scrapyard and slotted it as a midseason replacement. As it returns for its seventh season (Mondays, 8:30 ET/PT), USA TODAY's Jayme Deerwester looks at a few other series that may have seen their days, but outlasted their expected shelf lives and stuck around to plug holes in network lineups. They're all shows that made us stop and ask, "Wait, that's still on?"

The Adventures of Pete & Pete 20th Anniversary Reunion

If you were able to go to SF Sketchfest, I am incredibly envious. Like, blood boilingly jealous. BUT If you were so lucky, you may have seen the 20th Anniversary Reunion of The Adventures of Pete & Pete. Both Petes (Michael C. Maronna & Danny Tamberelli) were there with Artie, the Strongest Man in the World, (Toby Huss) Endless Mike (Rick Gomez) and series creators Chris Viscardi and Will McRobb.

If you're in SF, you really should be attending Sketch Fest. Tonight was a R. Kelly Trapped in the Closet singalong. Thursday has a Team Coco event, Friday has a special Party Down event, a Benson Interruption with a certain HUNGOVER star with the initials ZG, Saturday has Who Charted, I mean those are just a few of the amazing things. Get your ass to Sketchfest. I am 100% going next year.
