Emma Watson thinks she's an ONTD member with her super young looks

Emma Watson mistaken for a child by US airport security

Former child star Emma Watson has still got it. The actress – who rose to fame playing Hogwarts schoolgirl Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films – was stopped at US passport control after airport officials assumed she was a minor travelling alone.

Approaching the immigration desk wearing a backpack, 22-year-old Watson was identified as an unaccompanied child and asked where her guardian was.

The star – last seen in US coming-of-age drama The Perks of Being a Wallflower – took to Twitter to share the apparently traumatic experience with followers, tweeting: “Passport control: ‘Unaccompanied minor?’ Me: ‘Sorry?’ Passport control: ‘Where is ur guardian?’ Me: ‘I’m 22!!!!!!!’ #neverwearingabackpackagain.”

“The really sad thing is that this is not the first time this has happened,” complained the fresh-faced actress – as countless envious Hollywood contemporaries cursed her under their breath...

BAFTA rising star nominee list features not one white dude When will their under-representation end?

British actresses Juno Temple and Andrea Riseborough lead the way in a female-dominated race for the EE Bafta Rising Star Award 2013.

The Dark Knight Rises actress Temple and W.E.'s Riseborough are joined by Elizabeth Olsen and Anna Karenina's Alicia Vikander in the running for the award recognising new talent in the film industry.

Life Of Pi star Suraj Sharma is the only male nominee on the shortlist, selected by a judging panel including Sherlock Holmes actor Benedict Cumberbatch and director Kevin Macdonald.

Previous winners include James McAvoy, Tom Hardy, Eva Green, Shia LaBeouf and Kristen Stewart.

The award is voted for by the public and the winner will be announced February 10.

Piers Morgan "debates" Alex Jones on gun control hilarity ensues

Radio host Alex Jones delivered an intense pro-gun rant on CNN's "Piers Morgan Tonight" on Monday.

Morgan invited Jones onto his show to discuss the conservative pundit's campaign to "Deport Piers Morgan" in the wake of the CNN host's advocacy of gun control following the Sandy Hook massacre.

Jones began the segment by arguing that world governments and "the megabanks that control the planet" are conspiring to take guns away from regular citizens. "They've taken everybody's guns, but the Swiss and the American people," he said. The 2nd Amendment, he then went on to argue, was created to "protect us from tyrannical government and street thugs."

Over the course of the tirade -- during which he referenced the recent high-profile gang rape in India and Chinese revolutionary Mao Zedong -- Jones' demeanor grew noticeably more irate before finally boiling over with the following declaration:

"I'm here to tell you, 1776 will commence again if you try to take our firearms! Doesn't matter how many lemmings you get out there on the street, begging for 'em to have their guns taken. We will not relinquish them. Do you understand?! That's why you're going to fail, and the establishment knows, no matter how much propaganda, the republic will rise again!"

Where is David Bowie?

In the early morning hours of Tuesday the 8th January,Iso/Columbia Records released a new single by David Bowie titled 'Where Are We Now?' exclusively launching in the iTunes Store in 119 countries. David Bowie's first new album in ten years and his 30th studio recording, THE NEXT DAY is also available as a pre-order on iTunes with a wide release scheduled for March. January the 8th is of course David Bowie's birthday, a timely moment for such a treasure to appear as if out of nowhere.

Throwing shadows and avoiding the industry treadmill is very David Bowie despite his extraordinary track record that includes album sales in excess of 130 million not to mention his massive contributions in the area of art, fashion, style, sexual exploration and social commentary. It goes without saying that he has sold out stadiums and broken ticket records throughout the world during this most influential of careers.

In recent years radio silence has been broken only by endless speculation, rumor and wishful thinking ....a new record...who would have ever thought it, who'd have ever dreamed it! After all David is the kind of artist who writes and performs what he wants when he wants...when he has something to say as opposed to something to sell. Today he definitely has something to say.

Produced by long term collaborator Tony Visconti, 'Where Are We Now?' was written by Bowie, and was recorded in New York. The single is accompanied by a haunting video directed by Tony Oursler which harks back to David's time in Berlin. He is seen looking in on footage of the auto repair shop beneath the apartment he lived in along with stark images of the city at the time and a lyric constantly raising the question Where Are We Now?

"The moment you know, you know you know" resonates from the new single's lyric. Now we all know...David Bowie has been in the recording studio...just when we least expected it!

McDreamy Beats Starbucks!

Patrick Dempsey has successfully saved a Seattle coffee chain from financial life support.

The Grey's Anatomy star has won out in his bid to purchase the previously failing but now McDreamy-owned (buy stock now, is what we're saying) Tully's franchise. The purchase will be made official later this month following a court hearing on the matter, at which point Dempsey will fork over $9.15 million for the privilege of owning the coffee empire.

And you thought your cup of joe was pricey.

"We met the green monster, looked her in the eye, and...SHE BLINKED!" the TV star tweeted of the news. "We got it! Thank you Seattle!"

Ahead of his prevailing in yesterday's bankruptcy auction for the chain, which has 47 locations throughout Washington and California, Dempsey, who was up against the green monster known as Starbucks in his bidding, was updating fans on his journey via Twitter.

"In Seattle, big day tomorrow," he wrote ahead of the sale, alongside a picture of him posing with a Tully's barista. "Hope we pull it off!"

He did indeed. The deal is in place pending a bankruptcy judge formally signing off during a hearing set for Jan. 11.

At which point, the new best part of waking up? Will be having some McDreamy-approved brew in your cup.

UPDATE: Patrick Dempsey has released a more formal statement on his winning bid: "I'm thrilled that we won and I'm even more excited about saving Tully's Coffee and its hundreds of jobs. Tully's is a great company with committed employees, and with its base in Seattle, one of the world's greatest cities, I'm confident we will be able to succesfully build the brand and help grow the economy. Seattle has been very good to me over my career, and I am honored to have the privilege to own Tully's and work closely with the company's employees."

It's Official: Little Mix is Coming to America!

Just over a year since they won The X Factor, Little Mix are on their way to superstardom after signing a deal with US record label Columbia, which also houses their Syco labelmates One Direction.

Perhaps inspired by The Saturdays who also inked a deal with Island Def Jam in the US in October, Little Mix will be releasing debut single 'Wings' as their first American release under the same label that looks after One Direction, Adele and Beyonce.

Announcing the news in an interview with US magazine Twist, Jade Thirwall said: "We want to show everybody what we're about and bring out our first single over here."

"'Wings' is the perfect introduction to Little Mix and what we're all about, so we can't wait to show it to everybody in America!"

Jesy Nelson says they chose 'Wings' as their debut single in the States as it boasts an "uplifting message."

"We wanted our first single to be a song that meant something to us, but also meant a lot to our fans," Jesy told the magazine.

"We wanted an uplifting message about believing in yourself, listening to what your mum says (because she's always right!) and just not letting any negativity bring you down."

Since becoming the first group to win The X Factor in 2011, Little Mix have achieved two number one singles and a top five album with their debut record, DNA.

Can't wait for everyone here to fall in love with the adorableness that is Jade Thirlwall

Original Sugababes Mutya Keisha Siobhan preview new track 'Boys'

Today, Mutya Keisha Siobhan have put ‘pon de internet’ a small portion of an acousticy version of their first new song in one billion years.

It’s called ‘Boys’.

The acoustic version is all very well, of course, but you might be wondering about the actual studio version of the track.

So most importantly, what’s the tempo?
It’s mid-tempo.

Calm down. ‘Freak Like Me’ was mid-tempo, let’s not forget.

Does ‘Boys’ sound like ‘Freak Like Me’?
No, but it’s big and electronic.

Are there harmonies? This isn’t going to work if there are no harmonies.
Oh Christ yes there are harmonies all over the show. After the chorus the song slides into a bit that goes “we’re over, so over, thought you could diss me then come kiss me, I told ya we’re over, so over, I’m little missy sitting pretty tonight” which is harmonies a-go-go. There are also some good “oooooooh” bits.

So much so that people who wouldn't normally pay attention might if they hear this on the radio. I always wish Richie Sambora would have more opportunities to shine though. Jimmy Kimmel Prepares For Battle With Jay Leno tonight

His ABC late-night show just got moved opposite the Tonight Show with Jay Leno.

And Jimmy Kimmel is already getting competitive with the 62-year-old talk show host in his cheeky new cover story with Rolling Stone - revealing his builder's bum as he declares Leno 'hasn't been funny in 20 years'.

The ABC star also accused Jay of being 'a master chef who opened a Burger King'.

'Leno hasn’t been a good stand-up in 20 years,' Jimmy said. 'As a comedian, you can’t not have disdain for what he’s done: He totally sold out.'

Kimmel, who apparently smoked copious ganja with the Rolling Stone scribe during his stoned-out tet-e-tet with the magazine, was more complimentary of David Letterman, his childhood idol.

'If I beat David Letterman in the ratings, does that mean I’m better than Letterman? No f**king way,' he said.

The newly engaged presenter also praised Leno’s NBC colleague, Jimmy Fallon, who hosts Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

'People are going to compare me and him for years to come - we’re being positioned as the Leno and Letterman of the next round,' Kimmel reportedly said. 'I like it because he’s a very worthy competitor.'

Empire magazine made a really nifty infograph highlighting all the places James Bond visited during his fun-times adventures, from Sean Connery in Dr No 50 years ago to Skyfall with Daniel Craig last year.

The colours signify each Bond actor's travels: Connery in red; Lazenby in orange; Moore in green; Dalton in teal; Brosnan in blue; and Craig in purple. Lindsay Lohan Gets Psychic Prediction That Delights Her Crack Legal Team

by Linda Sharps
The latest bit of O RLY? comes from, of all people, Lindsay's lawyer, Mark Jay Heller. Now, you'd think this would be a relatively professional individual capable of issuing smooth, PR-friendly statements about his client, right?

WRONG. This lawyer is citing advice from a fortune teller in order to reassure us all about Lindsay's future.

Yes. A fortune teller. I'm not even kidding. This is how Lindsay Lohan's lawyer knows that Lindsay's troubles are finally coming to an end. This is what he actually, no shit, I swear to god I am not making up, told a group of reporters after he made a court appearance in New York yesterday. A court appearance regarding charges of misdemeanor assault against Lindsay Lohan, mind you.

Ironically a psychic fortune teller has predicted that the year 2013 will be an extremely lucky year for Lindsay Lohan. And with her spectacular talent and great looks I believe that all she really needs is a bit of luck.

I just … I can't … WHAT THE HELL. The only part of that statement that makes any sense whatsoever is the "ironically" part.

She doesn't need a bit of luck, she needs to stop doing drugs and getting arrested, for crying out loud. Most of all, she needs to be surrounded by people whose lips aren't permanently fixed to her butthole as they nod and tell her she's doing great and hand over more coke with one hand while pilfering her wallet with the other.

For some reason, there's a Sin City sequel; JGL joins cast; Josh Brolin replaces Clive Owen

Yeah, we know. It was only this afternoon that we were talking about how hot Joseph Gordon-Levitt is at the moment, with franchises being thrown left and right at the actor. He's already passed on "Godzilla," and now he's turned down Marvel's "Guardians Of The Galaxy" for the chance to step into Robert Rodriguez's noir soaked world.

That's right, JGL is joining "Sin City: A Dame To Kill For," taking a lead role that was offered to Johnny Depp at one point. The actor will be play the character Johnny, a cocky gambler who disguises a darker mission to destroy his most foul enemy at his best game. Production is already underway, with Dennis Haysbert replacing the late Michael Clarke Duncan, Jamie Chung replacing Devon Aoki, with Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, and Jaime King among those returning. Clive Owen is still expected in some capacity, and Deadline points to Bruce Willis reprising a role as well, but nothing official has come down just yet. Meanwhile, the site also says Josh Brolin could be courted for a role too.

Now Brolin is confirmed. Dimension Films announced today that Brolin has joined the "Sin City" sequel cast as “Dwight," the character that Clive Owen played in the original film for co-directors Rodriguez and Frank Miller. Evidently there's still one more big part up for grabs. The part of the titular “Dame” has yet to be cast.

"Dwight is one of the favorite characters from Miller’s books and the 2005 film. In SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR, Dwight is hunted down by the only woman he ever loved, Ava Lord, and then watches his life go straight to hell. Chronologically, this story takes place prior to “The Big Fat Kill” (featured in the film FRANK MILLER’S SIN CITY) and explains how Dwight came to have a dramatically different face."

"Dwight is a constant character throughout the Sin City world and "A Dame To Kill For" is a defining episode in his life. We're looking forward to Josh's take on Dwight," said Rodriguez and Miller.

'Catfish: The TV Show': Woman's Surprising Admission After Getting Caught Lying

(Video won't embed. Click source link to view.)

Rose had a strange reaction to getting caught lying on the latest installment of "Catfish: The TV Show." Joe thought he was in an online relationship with Kari Ann Peniche, the former Miss United States Teen who'd posed for Playboy. At the reveal, though, Joe couldn't believe it actually turned out to be his friend Rose.

But she wasn't pretending to be Peniche out of insecurity or anything related to Joe really at all. She was just having fun, as she called it. Or was she addicted to making anonymous online profiles?

"For me, it’s kind of like entertainment," Rose said. "I don’t know why everyone’s making a big deal about it." She didn't care at all if anyone was hurt by her "entertainment," and was actually deceiving several people online in multiple fake relationships.

Not surprisingly, Joe hasn't spoken to Rose since the taping.

'Aladdin' is Finally Coming to Broadway (in Spring 2014)

"Aladdin" is taking those three magical wishes to Broadway in a new stage show that will be substantially overhauled from an earlier version that premiered two years ago in Seattle.

The new version of the 1992 Disney animated hit will hit the Great White Way in spring 2014, according to an individual with knowledge of the production plans. It will replace "Mary Poppins" at the Disney-owned New Amsterdam Theater, the individual said.
The stage version of P.L. Travers' children's book will close in March 2013 after more than 2,600 performances.

A stage show of "Aladdin" that integrated the movie's original score by Alan Menken, Tim Rice and Howard Ashman premiered on stage at Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre in 2011. Chad Beguelin ("The Wedding Singer") wrote the book for that production and Casey Nicholaw ("The Book of Mormon") directed and choreographed the show.

However, the version of "Aladdin" that hits Broadway next year will be substantially overhauled and will not be a transfer of the 5th Avenue production, the individual said. That show was seen as a pilot production, designed to test the new book and additional score material. The Broadway production will involve a major new key player on the creative team, the individual said.

A spokesman for The Disney Theatrical Group did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Although "Mary Poppins" is closing to make way for "Aladdin," it remains a moneymaker for Disney. Every year since it opened in 2006, it has ranked among the 10 highest grossing shows and among the five best attended. By the time it closes, it will have grossed more than $300 million, putting it on the level of other hits like "Jersey Boys" and "Wicked." It has also earned more than $835 million worldwide.

The North American tour of "Mary Poppins" will end in June 2013 in Anchorage.

The New York Post first reported that "Mary Poppins" will close and be replaced by "Aladdin."

'Deception' Debuts On NBC To 5.6 Million Viewers

But, in brief, hot off the presses, Deception debuted last night to 5.6 million viewers and a 2.0 rating. In comparison to Scandal (and I only make this comparison because several folks have been comparing it to Scandal, even though both shows have very little in common, other than each stars a black female character); but Scandal's premiere drew 7.3 million viewers.

A lot of factors to consider in both cases, however.

But what's standing out more for TV number crunchers, is that Deception's 5.6 million is down sharply from the numbers attracted by the premiere episode of the show that previously occupied its 10pm-Monday timeslot - Revolution - which debuted to 11.7 million viewers and a 4.1 rating.

The last time NBC launched a primetime hour-long drama series with black lead characters was Undercovers, some 2 years ago. That show's pilot episode drew 8.6 million viewers, and dropped just about every episode thereafter.
By its 10th episode, its viewership was less than half of what its premiere episode saw. And as we asll know, NBC canceled the series before it played out its full season.

So it's with much interest that we'll be watching vieweship figures for Deception over the next 2 to 3 weeks for any pops or drops. Obviously, pops are better.

The fact that it has been online for the best part of 3 weeks might have something to do with the low ratings

♔ Beyoncé ♔, James Taylor, Kelly Clarkson to sing for Obama

Beyoncé will perform the national anthem for President Obama's inauguration on Jan. 21.

Beyoncé, James Taylor and Kelly Clarkson will perform the patriotic songs at the second inauguration of President Obama on Jan. 21, the inauguration committee will announce today.

Beyoncé, who's also starring at the Super Bowl halftime show next month, will sing the national anthem, always a tough tune to pull off well.

Taylor, the Sweet Baby James icon of '70s folk-rock, will sing America the Beautiful.

And Clarkson, the first winner of American Idol (2002), will sing My Country
, 'Tis of Thee, the song with different lyrics but the same tune as the British national anthem. At the first Obama inaugural ceremony in 2009, soul diva Aretha Franklin sang it while wearing a memorable hat.

More announcements about entertainment at the inauguration are expected in coming days.

All this will take place during the public swearing-in ceremonies on the Capitol steps, when President Obama delivers his second inaugural address before a crowd likely to top more than 1 million.

Obama will officially take the oath of office at the White House on Jan. 20, as per the Constitution, but the repeat swearing-in ceremony, the inaugural parade, the lunch with Congress and the inaugural balls will take place on Monday.

In 2009, an estimated 1.8 million people turned up on the National Mall to watch the historic inauguration of the nation's first black president; this time, in light of the economic situation, the inauguration will be more low-key, with fewer people expected and only two official balls.

Get Ready for Another 'Texas Chainsaw'

Following a strong opening weekend for Texas Chainsaw 3D, Millennium Films has made plans to develop another sequel, Texas Chainsaw 4. Deadline says the project will shoot later this year in Louisiana.

Texas Chainsaw 3D, which hit theaters January 4, continues the story of Tobe Hooper's 1974 original. Directed by John Luessenhop, the film has already grossed more than $22 million.

The title Texas Chainsaw 4 is a bit perplexing, however, as the project would represent the eighth film in the overall franchise and, theoretically, only the third film to follow the "continuity" of Texas Chainsaw 3D.

Carl Mazzocone will produce with Hooper, Mark Burg, Avi Lerner, Trevor Short, John Thompson, Danny Dimbort, Lati Grobman and Christa Campbell executive producing.

I love me some shitty horror movies, but this one was almost unbearable. Trey Songz being shirtless for 75% of his screen time was like the only thing it had going for it.

Source: Me, a friend who knows the alleged, and some old-fashioned internet sleuthing

I only watched the video for the first time a couple days ago, and the guy in the video looked really similiar to Tyson, and the lyrics sounded exactly what a friend of mine had recently gone through with him. I'd actually at one point had her ask him if he was friends with Taylor (for a totally different reason) and he told her that they were more like acquaintances.

Please don't shoot the messenger.

Mariah Carey Says She Didn't Know Nicki Minaj Sang: "I Thought She Rapped Or Whatever"

The 'Hero' singer has opened up about her feud with fellow American Idol judge Nicki last year.

The 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' star, who joined the revamped American Idol panel alongside Nicki for the new season, has also admitted to Barbara Walters in a new interview for ABC News that she hired extra security in the wake of their filmed spat last year.

"It felt like an unsafe work environment. Anytime anybody is reeling threats at somebody, you know, that's just it's not appropriate," Mariah says in the new interview. "I mean, I've got two babies, I'm not going to take any chances, so yeah I did hire more security. I just felt it was the appropriate thing to do."

Mariah was also asked about the lyrics from one of Nicki's most recent songs 'Hell Yeah', which are rumoured to be aimed at the longtime pop star, in which Nicki raps: "I'm quick to check a b***h that's out of line, why these bums so mad that the queen on Idol?"

"Don't know. Don't know what she's singing," Mariah responded, when Barbara asked if she was the "b***h. "I didn't know she sang, I thought she rapped, or whatever.

"I think it's a classic, classy show and it didn't need this," the 'My All' singer added. "I really think it was just a crass moment."
