Jennifer Lawrence: Acting ‘is stupid’

Before you start ripping apart your Katniss Everdeen poster, hear her out.

"Hunger Games" star Jennifer Lawrence said acting "is stupid" i Vanity Fair's upcoming cover story. But in her defense, the 22-year-old actress -- who i gaining a reputation r being quite irreverent and self deprecating -- was sort of making a greater point. And yeah, sometimes she sticks her foot in her mouth:

Not to sound rude, but [acting] is stupid... Everybody’s like, 'How can you remain with a level head?' And I’m like, 'Why would I ever get cocky? I’m not saving anybody’s life. There are doctors who save lives and firemen who run into burning buildings. I’m making movies. It’s stupid.'

You see, it's just her way of staying level headed.

Some hav suggested hat such a comment, with just days to go until Oscar voting comes to a close, could cause the Academy to bristle. Lawrence does, after all, have the momentum of Golden Globe nomination nd a whole lot of Oscar buzz for her performance in "Silver Linings Playbook" going for her right now.

Lawrence regaled Vanity Fair with a few other zingers. Like the time she nearly used her bow-and-arrow on suspected home intruders. "I went to my car and I put this quiver [used in archery] on me and I had my bow and I loaded it and I'm walking up the stairs. And I look, and my patio doors were open, and there were guys working right there, and I was like, 'Heyyy, how you doin'?'"

In another possible foot-in-mouth moment, Lawrence noted how disappointed her friends were when danger proved not to be lurking. "They were like, 'We'v got o stage someone to break into your house and you can kill them!' That would be the funniest news ever. Katniss Everdeen actually kills someone with a bow and arrow!"

Kill? Funny? Hmm.

The young talent also revealed how she shoved her hand in Bill Maher's face so she could awkwardly gaze at the sight of Meryl Streep -- one of her idols. "I literally put my hand right in Bill Maher’s face and said, ‘Not now, Bill!,’ and I just stared at Meryl Streep." And no, Lawrence didn't approach Streep. She just stared.

Other topics covered by Lawrence's special brand of irreverence in the magazine issue include:

- The fact that she didn't go to high school. She calls herself "vastly uneducated" but admits to reading "Anna Karenina." (Hey, she has the best excuse -- she was working on a television show. Plus, she had private tutors.)

- Crying to her mother.

- Not being mature enough to buy a house.

- Getting "slaughtered" on the red carpet.

"Silver Linings Playbook," starring Lawrence and Bradley Cooper, is in theaters now. Lawrence's next film, "Serena," also starring Cooper, comes out this year.

David Lynch reportedly in talks to reboot ‘Twin Peaks’

2013 is already an exciting year for new TV seasons. We’ve got “Girls” Season 2 coming back in a couple weeks, and the new “Arrested Development” season dumping onto Netflix all on one glorious day this spring.

And today we learn that, according to highly unsubstantiated rumors (but don’t they always start that way?) David Lynch has been meeting with NBC to discuss a reboot for a new season of “Twin Peaks.”
Here’s what we know about a potential “Twin Peaks” season 3, from one anonymous internet poster who claims to have been in on the meeting:

*Lynch wants to be very hands-on on the project.
*Lynch wants most of the original cast back.
*Lynch was adamant that the new season start by creating the first red room scene from season 1.
*The new season would all take place in the present day.
*There are a few other semi spoiler alert tidbits you can read blow if you want.

David Lynch has always been a journeyman—the last years saw him do everything from cameo on “Louie” to launch a major initiative for transcendental meditation to starting his own coffee line. But “Twin Peaks” Season 3 would be Lynch at his best.

'American Idol' Judges cover The Hollywood Reporter: Turns Into the Nicki Minaj Story

The panel is being paid handsomely for it, with Carey, 43, earning a salary of $18 million, according to sources, Minaj pocketing $12 million, and less for Urban and Jackson. Somewhat shockingly, Darnell insists that despite the divas' extra handlers, glam-squad members and security detail, the show's production costs, which THR has estimated run in the vicinity of $2 million an episode, have not increased.

On the other hand, the exposure can do wonders for a career that's waning or an artist coming off of a long leave. Says Carey, who's finishing her 11th album with plans to launch it during Idol: "This show is such a massive, popular entity, it does help people promote their music, and at the end of the day, that's the most important thing. … But this is a big departure for me because, for the most part, either I had nothing or I was my own boss."

All three newcomers say they had to be "convinced" to join Idol. New Zealand-born Urban, 45, a handsome, one-season judge on Australia's The Voice who's married to Academy Award-winning actress Nicole Kidman, had a been-there-done-that attitude toward the TV-judging shtick. But in the end, he decided he had wisdom left to share. "I like helping artists get rid of the cheesy crap around them that they haven't yet figured out they don't need," he says. "I wish I had more of that. I had to learn a lot of it myself."

Actor Patrick Dempsey battling Starbucks for control of Tully's Coffee Shops

Actor Patrick Dempsey tweets pic from Seattle Tully's on Wednesday

What do Starbucks, Patrick Dempsey, and some bikini clad women have in common?

They're all interested in purchasing Tully's coffee in Seattle.
Seven bidders will meet in Seattle at an auction today to buy bankrupt Tully's Coffee.

The Seattle Times reports Starbucks only wants half of Tully's 47 stores nationwide and if they win, they're offering to sell off the rest or they might close them down.
Seattle-based Baristas Coffee Company, which features scantily clad female servers at drive-through coffee stands, also has said it wants to make a bid for Tully's.

That company has formed Baristas Acquisition Partners to complete the acquisition of Tully's.
A statement from the Baristas Coffee Company indicates the new group consists of several current Tully's shareholders and executives from the coffee industry.

One of the other seven bidders have a face familiar to Seattle as well, or at least, a fictional version of the Emerald City.
Patrick Dempsey, who plays Dr. Derek Shepherd on "Grey's Anatomy," the ABC drama set at fictional Seattle Grace Hospital is a part of the investment group Global Baristas.

On Wednesday night Dempsey tweeted a picture of himself at a Tully's, writing "In Seattle, big day tomorrow! Hope we pull it off!"
The deal should be closed by the end of the month.

Gwyneth Paltrow: Queen Of Pony-Tail Whipping

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

It started off as a well-publicized event in and of itself: Coldplay and Jay-Z co-headlining a show on New Year's Eve at Brooklyn's Barclays Center. Ringing in 2013 with two great onstage acts? What could be better?

How about Gwyneth Paltrow making an appearance onstage, dancing to "Run This Town" in this now-viral video?

Paltrow is visible on the stage along with their kids Apple and Moses. Paltrow engages in what some are calling "champagne sway-dancing," or "pony-tail whipping," while trying to entice the little ones to groove along with her.

It's been fodder for a good bit of mockery, but in our opinion, the Goop-goddess is rightly taking advantage of one of the perks of being one degree of separation from music's most-inner circle.

Local LA NYE broadcast turns into a hot mess disastuh

No tape doctoring necessary. Enjoy what probably is the last time KDOC will ever do anything live ever again. OH, and the best part...the info said "Featuring Mario Lopez, Eva Longoria, Joey Lawrence and Jennifer Love Hewitt". NONE of them showed up and instead they filled 90 minutes with Jamie Kennedy, a clearly high Macy Gray, and Bone Thugs N' Harmony who didn't get the memo not to curse. ENJOY.

The best British TV show of the last 10 years returns Jan. 27th...

Have you spent the last few months of your lives curled in a fetal position, weeping softly as you fight through Top Gear withdrawals? Me too. But there's light at the end of this tunnel: the 19th series of our favorite TV show (besides Honey Boo Boo, obviously) is set to begin airing on Jan. 27, according to Final Gear, citing the website that sells audience tickets to the show.

They say that the filming of new episodes will begin on Jan. 23, and that they typically air a few days later, making Jan. 27 the most probable airdate.

What kind of shenanigans will Series 19 entail?

Time Warner Cable Drops Current TV Upon Sale To Al Jazeera

Time Warner Cable pulled the plug on Current TV just hours after news of the cable channel's sale to Al Jazeera became official.

"This channel is no longer available on Time Warner Cable," read an on-screen message where Current TV used to be found.

Al Jazeera took a major step into the U.S. cable market Wednesday by acquiring beleaguered Current TV and announcing plans for a U.S.-based news network to be called Al Jazeera America. But while the new channel will soon be available in 40 million households, Al Jazeera faced a setback when Time Warner Cable -- which reaches 12 million homes -- announced it was dropping the low-rated Current, which occupied a spot that could have been switched to Al Jazeera America.

Joel Hyatt, who co-founded Current TV with former Vice President Al Gore, told staff in a Wednesday night memo that Time Warner Cable "did not consent to the sale to Al Jazeera."

"Consequently, Current will no longer be carried on TWC," Hyatt wrote. "This is unfortunate, but I am confident that Al Jazeera America will earn significant additional carriage in the months and years ahead."

A Time Warner Cable spokesman said in a statement that "our agreement with Current will be terminated and we will no longer be carrying the channel."

Some media observers interpreted the move as motivated by politics.

Director Renata Raksha and LA's freaky princess kick off 2013 in fierce style, with help from some mini iguanas and lashings of silver body paint

When Dazed Digital premiered Brooke Candy's "Das Me" video last October, it became one of our biggest hits of the year (wut?) and solidified Candy's reputation as the gold armour-plated, trans-human fantasy girl of choice. Some sizzurp-sipping loons went as far to say that it was the closest our generation had come to invoking the sprit of Barbarella. We're not sure what Jane Fonda would make of the comparison to a rapping ex-stripper with pink braids, but we do know that twerk-out exercise videos are a great way of shedding the pounds apres Christmas. To kick off the new year, we've hooked up with the self proclaimed freaky princess once again to produce a promo for her latest banger, "Everybody Does". Directed by Renata Raksha, this time we see our cyberpunk pin up playing with an army of mini iguanas, cover herself in silver paint, get creative with some fans in the back of a lorry, and drop it low in a car wash all while MCing over Lucian Walker's demented instrumental. It's weird, wild and quite easily the best way to start 2013. Over to you, Ms Candy....

Danish actress’ death leads to huge spike in HPV vaccination requests

The untimely death of actress Mira Wanting due to cervical cancer has spurred women across the country to get the vaccination that can prevent the illness. Appointments to get the HPV vaccination, which is offered for free to women up age 27, have increased tenfold, according to DLVS, a vaccination service, since Wanting’s death on December 22.
There is a noticeable increase in demand that can only be due to the increased media attention following (Wanting’s) death,” Karsten Østergaard, the head of DLVS, which handles about 20 percent of vaccinations nationwide, told Ekstra Bladet newspaper.
Østergaard said the death of a familiar face helped the public to realise that information available about cervical cancer and its prevention is more than “just statistics”.
“Hopefully the madness of this tragic death will help prevent similar cases,” said Østergaard.
Before Christmas, the vaccination services at thirty clinics nationwide were averaging about ten new appointments to receive the HPV vaccination daily. The number has increased to nearly 100 a day since Wanting’s death.
In 2009, the HPV vaccine was included in child vaccination programmes and offered to girls starting at age 12 .The number of people able to get it for free has since been expanded and starting in August women between the ages of 20 and 27 were made eligible. About 80,000 women and girls have received the first of the three shots in the past five months.
Østergaard said that since Wanting’s death there has been a dramatic increase in the number of women aged 30-60 calling to find out whether they need to be vaccinated.
According to Statens Serum Institut, which is responsible for preventing infectious diseases, HPV is a common virus that often does not have any symptoms. The vaccine works best if the person getting it has not yet been infected with a type of HPV. Many adult women have already contracted HPV, reducing the benefits of being vaccinated, which is why the free system focuses on young women.

Wanting achieved recognition as teenager in the 1999 film 'Kærlighed ved første hik'. She leaves behind two daughters – Alberta, 13, and Filippa, 2.

'Bomb Girls': A TV Miniseries Where Women Rule the Roost

Visiting the "Bomb Girls" set is like being transported back to the early '40s. The six-part miniseries, which revolves around the dedicated Canadian women who stepped up to work in a munitions factory during World War II, is shot in Toronto, and has the look and feel of a "Mad Men" - "Pan Am" hybrid. Naturally, the producers took special care to capture the war vibe of the '40s, and the intricate details will be impossible to miss when the miniseries premieres on January 4 at 8 p.m. on Global TV.

Meet the Bomb Squad
Rather than stand idly by while their brothers, fathers, husbands and fiances risked everything to fight in World War II, some Canadian women assumed roles that were previously taboo -- creating munitions for the war efforts overseas. </b> "Bomb Girls" follows the journey of five of those remarkable women. Lead actors Meg Tilly ("Road to Avonlea," "The Big Chill") and Jodi Balfour ("V," "Sanctuary") spoke exclusively about their respective characters.

Girls Fans Throw Shade at Lena Dunham for Liking Taylor Swift

Sincerest feelings-havers Lena Dunham and Taylor Swift have been Internet friends since Red dropped in October, but Dunham just admitted that the denizens of Bushwick who constitute her fanbase have a hard time believing that she scream-sings "You Belong With Me" in the shower like many a red-blooded human being. (Okaaaay, like me. But I DO NOT STAND ALONE HERE.)

Says Dunham: "We have D.M.'ed. I'm a really big fan. She started following me, and here's how you find out Taylor Swift is following you: you start hearing from all the insane Taylor Swift fans that are like, 'If Taylor Swift loves you I love you.' So I sent her a message. I was like, 'I just want to let you know that your albums have gotten me through a lot of very hard times.' When I tweeted that her new album was amazing, every one of my Twitter followers was like, 'I so hope that you're joking.' But I have no interest in liking anything ironically. If I wanted to be ironic, I'd grow a mustache."

R.I.P., irony.

Million Dollar Decorators' Kathryn: Lindsay Lohan is a Dream Client

Million Dollar Decorators' Kathryn discusses working with the megastar on her romantic Hollywood home.

A year ago, in fact last New Year’s eve, I went to my friend John Burnham’s house for a party he gave for Woody Allen. Being almost neighbors it was a party that I could even walk home from.

The next day I was going with Oscar, my eldest, to Cuba so a late night wasn’t an option. It was a star studded event, Nicole Kidman, James Spader, Diane Keaton and on and on. As I was sitting down to eat, a pretty blonde stylishly dressed with ostrich feathers (I think) falling from her cuffs, spoke to me only to tell me what a fan of she was of the the show and I was her favorite. Not realizing that she was addressing me I continued eating but was promptly scolding for not responding. How could anyone be my fan when the Hollywood A-list surrounded the table?

We talked and she introduced me to her lovely sister, at which point I overheard her say, "Wouldn't she be a fun mother to have?” Slighly insulted I turned to my freind Ursula Brooks beside me and asked who the lady was to my right. “Lindsay Lohan,” replied Ursula. “Oh that great little actress from The Parent Trap,” which actually I cried in! The freindship began.

Frank Ocean Busted for Weed, Rap Blogs Busted For Bullshit

The singer was pulled over for speeding on New Year's

Frank Ocean was pulled over for speeding in Mono County, California, on New Year's Eve and wound up with a ticket for marijuana possession. According to TMZ, the fella behind SPIN's Album of the Year was doing "roughly 90 in a 65." When cops approached his black BMW, they caught a whiff of weed and so searched Ocean, revealing "a small bag of pot on his person."

He was also cited for driving on a suspended license, which was confiscated, and for having tinted windows. While he was momentarily detained in the back of a police car (Ocean posted the photo to Instagram), he was eventually released with the caveat that his unidentified passenger take the wheel. Mono County is located between the Yosemite National Park and the Nevada border.

That's the entire story. All of it. But that didn't stop rap and gossip blogs from offering wildly out-of-hand, incredibly irresponsible and homophobically motivated speculation about the reason for Ocean's traffic stop. Smartly, Frank avoided comment as the false news broke, and the real story emerged with a key assist from CBS Local. Don't expect the offending sites to recant any time soon.

'Zero Dark Thirty,' 'Homeland' Are 'Apples And Oranges' To Jessica Chastain
The star of the Osama bin Laden thriller sees role as anecdote to typical Hollywood female hero.
By Kevin P. Sullivan

In the months leading up to the release of "Zero Dark Thirty," when the film, its story, and its structure were still tightly under wraps, no one knew which actor in the massive ensemble, if any individual at all, would be cast as the main character. As Kathryn Bigelow's film neared its release date, previews and interviews slowly drew back the veil and revealed Jessica Chastain as the main character.

From there, the world learned about Maya, the film version of an actual CIA analyst that followed up on a hunch and found Osama bin Laden. The general public reaction was surprise that a 10-year manhunt ended largely because of the work of a single woman, and Chastain even disappointed herself with a similar reaction.

Jessica Chastain Revels In 'Zero Dark Thirty' Female Heroism
"When I read the script, from the very beginning I was shocked that there was a woman at the center of it," Chastain told MTV News. "Then I was disgusted with myself that I was shocked by it. Why would I be so shocked? Of course, a woman could have done this."

Chastain said that the shock about Maya and her role in the mission partially stems from Hollywood's traditional portrayal of women. "You start looking at lead female characters in film, they're usually defined by the men in their lives. They're either the victim of the man or the love interest of the man. Maya is not," she said. "She's not protected or mentored really. She's not suffering from neuroses or trying to sleep with her boss or any kind of mental issues with her. She's intelligent, capable, and she can stand on her own."

Benedict Cumberbatch and Alice Eve Talk STAR TREK INTO DARKNESS

It’s safe to say that director J.J. Abrams’ sequel Star Trek Into Darkness is one of the most highly anticipated films of the coming year, and fans have been eager to learn more about the project essentially ever since it was officially announced. Despite Abrams’ secretive nature, we’ve seen a bounty of Into Darkness goodies over the past month or so, and just recently we got a look at the Star Trek covers for Empire Magazine. Now some excerpts from the magazine’s cover story have been released online, providing some tidbits about the film via a lively interview with Trek newcomers Benedict Cumberbatch and Alice Eve. Hit the jump to see what kind of details they spilled.

For those unaware, Cumberbatch plays the villain in the film, a character by the name of John Harrison. Yes, the name is likely a red herring, and given the back-and-forth over the past two years I’m inclined to believe that we’ll be debating whether or not the villain is Khan right up until the film’s release. Eve plays a Trek canon character, Carol Marcus. The character had a romantic relationship with Kirk in Wrath of Khan, but it’s unknown how she’ll be used in Into Darkness.

Ex-lover sues reggae star Sean Paul and pens embarrassing tell-all

A jilted lover is suing Grammy Award-winning reggae artist Sean Paul in New York for $80 million — and taking intimate revenge in the process — claiming he had her illegally deported from Jamaica and drove her to attempt suicide.

Susanne Persson, a busty blonde from Sweden, said Paul “bribed Jamaican police” to oust her from the country in June 2010, the suit claims.

The documents, filed in Manhattan Supreme Court, include an illustrated, self-written, 120-page tell-all that promises on its cover to allegedly expose: “The Truth About Sean Paul’s Cocaine Dealings, Lies, Murders and Erection Problems.”

The work, titled “Irie Jamboree: My life in Jamaica as a jet set slave with the enormous secret of a love affair with Jamaica’s perhaps most well known Dancehall Artist,” has a childishly hand-drawn cover depicting Persson in a blue sari and Paul with his signature Mohawk.

David Duchovny on the Rocking New Season of "Californication"

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

Rolling Stone interview by Steve Baltin

David Duchovny's Hank Moody, the protagonist of Showtime's hit series Californication, may be a writer by nature, but there is arguably no bigger rock star on episodic TV than the wild-living author. He's been shot at by RZA, propositioned by more women than Gene Simmons and woken up in jail, in the hospital and on the streets, all while chasing his on-again, off-again true love Karen (Natascha McElhone).

On the show's upcoming sixth season, which premieres January 13th, creator Tom Kapinos embraces Moody's rock star nature, having the character write a rock opera and run in circles that include Marilyn Manson (playing himself in two episodes) and Sex Pistols guitarist Steve Jones (who plays a bodyguard).

Duchovny spoke with Rolling Stone recently about the new season, his dreams of having a Beatle on the show, why Moody is a true romantic and the rock star he patterned Moody after.

Bradley Cooper and Zoe Saldana Break Up for the Second Time

Bradley Cooper will be celebrating his 38th birthday solo on Jan. 5.

According to The New York Post's Page Six, the Silver Linings Playbook actor split with Zoe Saldana just before the holidays. As first reported by Us Weekly, The Words costars initially split in March 2012 following a three-month courtship; they quietly rekindled their romance later that fall.

"Zoe had planned to spend the holidays with Bradley and his family in Europe. They all were going to Paris, but things didn't work out between them," a source told Page Six. "Zoe spent New Year's Eve with friends in Miami."

Shortly before Saldana, 34, traveled to Florida to ring in the new year, an insider told Us the stars were "having issues" and on the verge of a breakup. While there, a source says, "Zoe had her whole family close to her and was very guarded while down in Miami."

"If Zoe was upset over the split with Bradley, she didn't show it," a witness told Page Six of the star, who enjoyed a private dinner with family and friends at Catch Miami and partied poolside at The James Royal Palm.

Saldana and her longtime love and fiance, Keith Britton, called it quits in November 2011. Prior to his relationship with the Star Trek into Darkness star, Cooper romanced Renee Zellweger for two years and briefly dated Olivia Wilde and Jennifer Lopez. He was also married to actress Jennifer Esposito for four months from 2006 to 2007.

In Cali, Kris Humphries is the presumed dad of Kim K.'s baby

Kanye was a proud father on Sunday night when he announced that he and girlfriend Kim Kardashian are expecting a baby, but he'd have to do more thanclaim her as his "baby mama" for the state of California.

As TMZ's noted, in the eyes of the state's Family Code, Kardashian's estranged husband, Kris Humphries, is presumed to be the father of her baby because the two are still legally married. Kardashian filed for divorce in October 2011 after 72 days of marriage, but it's not yet official.

A man is presumed to be the natural father of a child if he is or has been married to the mother, and if the baby is born during the marriage or within 300 days after death, annulment, declaration of invalidity, divorce or after a judgment of separation is entered by the court.

Humphries filed for an annulment and separation from Kardashian on December 1, 2011, but a judgment of separation hasn't been granted, making him the presumed dad. Anyone involved can clear up the paternity with "clear and convincing" evidence, such as a DNA test.

Less than a month after the loss of her dog Lila, Miley Cyrus has a new puppy to call her own.

“Meet Bean,” the star tweeted along with a snap of the small pup.

“Bean is a little girl,” she continued. “She is a chihuahua mix of some type :) she brought so much sunshine!!! I love my little bean so much.”

The self-proclaimed animal lover adopted the dog from Spot! Pet Boutique in Los Angeles, Calif., perhaps in effort to fill the void left by the passing of her late puppy Lila who Cyrus has mourned since the dog’s death in early December.

“Feeling connected to my baby girl Lila after tonight. i know she’s up in doggy heaven proud of her mommy for staying strong,” the 20-year-old tweeted on Dec. 17, adding days later, “Times like this is when I really miss Lila.”

Last March, when The New Yorker’s Ian Crouch declared an “epidemic of Downton Abbey fever,” he wasn’t wrong. The show has been nothing short of a phenomenon, a runaway success for dowdy old PBS, far outpacing in ratings that other popular period drama, Mad Men. It’s a classic tale of love and fortune with a fundamental mystery at its core, namely: How can something this schlocky be this good? Maybe it has something to do with its formula, equal parts high class to high camp (yes, Dame Maggie Smith, we’re looking at you); or its bucolic English setting; or, more likely, its blatant appeal to our closeted hankering for a butler fully versed in the art of decanting vintage port. After all is said and done, who has not wished that they, too, could be in the position to declare, like the Dowager Countess with her imperious mix of disdain and perplexity, “What is a week-end?”

Indeed, what is a weekend without Downton Abbey to cozy up with on Sunday nights? And here it is, back again to keep winter from the door—season 3, and with it the Roaring Twenties to blow away the agony of war and the insult of rationing. Expect flappers and the Charleston, and a Marcel wave or two.

Start Shopping For Church Hats!!! George Lucas And Mellody Hobson Are Engaged!

HuffPost Celebrity can report that filmmaker George Lucas and his girlfriend of seven years, businesswoman Mellody Hobson, are engaged.

The famed director, 68, and his longtime partner and president of a big-time Chicago-based investment management firm, Ariel Investments LLC, 43, are no strangers to showcasing their relationship in the spotlight. The pair are often spotted hand-in-hand on the red carpet, everywhere from the Cannes Film Festival to Formula One Grand Prix races to the NAACP awards.

This will be the second marriage for the "Star Wars" writer-director -- he was previously married to Marcia Lucas (1969–1983) -- and the first marriage for Hobson, who helms the $3 billion investment firm and is a regular financial contributor to "Good Morning America."

Lucas recently made headlines after donating $4 billion to an education foundation -- the amount he received after selling Lucasfilm Ltd. (which Lucas solely owned) to Disney.

“For 41 years, the majority of my time and money has been put into the company,” Lucas said of his donation. “As I start a new chapter in my life, it is gratifying that I have the opportunity to devote more time and resources to philanthropy.”

Now that's quite the power couple. Congratulations!

Britney teams up with N****s in Paris producer Hit-Boy, will.i.am

Britney Spears working on her next album -- new details

Just before the new year, Britney Spears confirmed in a Twitter Q&A that she was indeed “working hard” on her next album, and that she was “collaborating with some inspiring new producers.”

Which is intriguing! But who are these producers providing Britney with inspiration? Details are still scant, and Spears’ rep says that the album’s still in its early planning stages. But the rep did drop a few details, telling us that Britney “hasn’t worked with Elijah Blake,” despite the rumors. Blake, a writer who sometimes goes by Sean Fenton and has worked the likes of Usher and Rihanna, said in an interview that he was working with Britney. We’ve asked him for a comment but have yet to hear back.)

But the rep did spill some names working on the album with Britney — like the recently inescapable producer Hit-Boy, the aptly named man behind Kanye West and Jay-Z’s “N—-s in Paris,” A$AP Rocky’s “Goldie,” Kendrick Lamar’s “Backseat Freestyle,” and other major 2012 jams.

Of course, there’ll be seasoned Spears vets helping out too. Will.i.am., for instance, will be pitching in again. no thanks. [source]

The Wanted's Siva Kaneswaran: 'The new album should be out in March'

If the idea of a new album from The Wanted is enough to get you all of a dither, then prepare to wiggle your way straight into next week as according to bandmember Siva Kaneswaran, the new record could be landing as soon as March.

"We're hoping to have our new album out by March this year," Siva told Top of the Pops.

To all you mathematical geniuses out there, the difference between January and March is equal to a VERY SHORT amount of time, so we have to say we are pretty excited to hear how close it is to release.

Bandmate Tom Parker has already said that the lads have been beavering away so hard that they are hoping to release a second album towards the end of the year, but for now it sounds like they are focused on getting the first one perfect.

"We've written so many tracks for it, but we're still writing some more, so we can make it brilliant for you," Siva added.

*There is more to the article that is very Sugarscap-ish at source*

They better stop postponing this shiz. And I'm SO excited about the possibility of TWO albums!
