stan ma man

The rising Hollywood star—who packs a mean punch in Captain America, Political Animals, and this month's The Apparition—reveals how he stays in fighting shape.

Sebastian Stan was in the running for the title role in the 2011 blockbuster Captain America: The First Avenger. But he lost out, and instead the Romanian-born actor made waves as the true-blue sidekick Bucky Barnes. Turns out it was a blessing in disguise. Taking on a superhero-size role would have required building a superhero-size physique—Chris Evans reportedly gained 20 pounds of almost comically bulging muscle for the part. Not Stan's style. "I like to be lean and flexible," says the six-foot, 165-pound 30-year-old, who played a scheming heartthrob on Gossip Girl and Sigourney Weaver's drug-addicted son in this summer's Political Animals. "I'm not interested in gaining size."

Which is why earlier this year Stan became a devotee of the aeroboxing workout pioneered by Michael Olajide Jr., who lost a world super-middleweight title fight to Thomas "Hitman" Hearns in 1990 and retired a year later after a fight left him blind in one eye. Olajide became one of New York City's most respected trainers before opening Aerospace gym in the West Village, attracting clients like Mark Wahlberg, Hugh Jackman, Liv Tyler, Eva Mendes, and Adriana Lima. Aeroboxing is, Olajide says, "built for people who live in the city, who don't have the time or the space to exercise outdoors."

Stan says aeroboxing's mix of boxing moves, jumping rope, and strength training makes it the most effective workout he's ever tried. In addition to keeping him lean and toned, the grueling hour-long sessions, which Stan does three to four times a week, have improved the actor's posture and sculpted his shoulders. "You end up in a pool of your own sweat," says Stan, who is starring opposite Twilight's Ashley Greene in the new supernatural thriller The Apparition. "It's hard to keep up with the boxing combinations unless you're really focused, so it's also a great mental workout." Which is why his commitment to this exercise regimen is as much about clarity as vanity. "Working out and working as an actor have gone hand in hand—I always feel more prepared if I know I have done a workout," he says. "It gives me confidence—and peace of mind."

This is just an excuse to look at Stan's biceps while talking about fitness.

Robert Downey, Jr. Injured on Iron Man 3 Set

Don't panic Iron Man fans! The brilliant Robert Downey Jr. is perfectly fine and there's certainly no reason to think that the release of Iron Man 3 will be at all affected by this news. SuperHero Hype received the following statement from Marvel Studios today telling them that production has been slightly delayed after the actor suffered an ankle injury during a the filming of a stunt scene for the Shane Black helmed flick.

Robert Downey Jr. sustained an ankle injury on the set of Iron Man 3 in Wilmington, North Carolina while performing a stunt. There will be a short delay in the production schedule while he recuperates.

At the San Diego Comic-Con last month, Downey actually revealed that he pushed to be involved in as many stunts as possible in this third instalment of the franchise, and a few photos and videos posted here on CBM have shown just how extreme some of them have been so far. Get well soon, Tony Robert!

Kardashian 72-day marriage goes on...

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Kim Kardashian's divorce has engulfed her family and network, literally.
Attorneys for her estranged husband sought detailed records Wednesday about her reality shows and details of depositions with her mother and current boyfriend Kanye West to prove her 72-day marriage to NBA player Kris Humphries was a fraud.
Collapse )
The legal bickering means it's unlikely the couple will be granted a divorce, or annulment, as Humphries desires, before next year, attorneys and a judge said during a testy hearing.

Kardashian's attorney Laura Wasser accused Humphries' team of overreaching in the effort that has already resulted in $250,000 in legal fees for the model-actress. The acrimony over the breakup led lawyers for Humphries to recently try to serve West with a deposition subpoena —disguised in a Nordstrom's box —at Kardashian's home.
Humphries' attorney Marshall Waller said the lack of cooperation from West's attorneys and companies that work on Kardashian's reality show were delaying the case. He said it could take a two-week trial if Humphries keeps pursuing an annulment based on fraud.

Waller said at the hearing that he wanted to prove Kardashian had "no intention of proceeding with this marriage. That it was basically a contrivance for the benefit of her show and to make money," he said.
Wasser said the tactic was slowing the legal process and she intended to bill Humphries for her legal fees.
"To say that I'm frustrated would be an understatement," Wasser said in the packed courtroom where 18 other cases were to be called. "I am at a loss to figure out what the holdup is. ... It's dragging on, it's clogging resources."
Several depositions have been taken, including one of Humphries in his home state of Minnesota, and his girlfriend is scheduled to undergo questioning next week. Wasser said many of Humphries' requests for information were overly broad, including information on the finances of Kardashian's mother, Kris Jenner.

The couple was married last summer in a lavish, star-studded, televised ceremony, but Kardashian soon filed for divorce on Oct. 31. Humphries responded a month later asking for an annulment, claiming the couple's nuptials were based on fraud. He did not lay out specific evidence.

Kardashian is the star of the E! Entertainment Television series "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," the network's top-rated show, averaging more than 3 million viewers in its sixth season.
Humphries, an NBA forward, recently signed a two-year, $24 million contract with the Brooklyn Nets.
Superior Court Judge Stephen Moloney said he thinks the case can still be resolved by next May and ordered the attorneys to return for an update on Nov. 28.

Iggy Azalea Talks New Mixtape "Trap Gold", working with Diplo, T.I. and more

HNHH had a sit down with Grand Hustle rapstress Iggy Azalea at SneakerPimps in LA. She talked about her Glory EP, which female rapper she grew up idolizing, her upcoming mixtape "Trap Gold" and working with Diplo, T.I. and the Grand Hustle family and more.

Fresh off her EP release Glory, Iggy Azalea is seemingly everywhere in the media these days. She spoke to HNHH about her upcoming album The New Classic, how she idolized Missy Elliot growing up, why dropping out of school was necessary for her career, how her relationship with T.I. and Grand Hustle has helped her navigate through the growing pains of being a young rapper, and what she has planned for her mixtape Trap Gold.

With Trap Gold underway, she had nothing but praise for Diplo. For this mixtape, there will be "...less storytelling... It'll be more fun... shit you can dance to. You could listen to this mixtape as an instrumental the whole way through. I could put Trap Gold out now with no words and it would kill half the shit out there because Diplo is a genius. That's, no testament to me, I can say that Diplo is the man." When both are in the studio Iggy will "say if I don't like something. If I do, I'll cheer him on."

Looking forward to her new album The New Classic, Iggy wants to make it "...more personal and it will be more introspective. There's more storytelling songs. I've got a song with Pusha and Cee-Lo that I've spoke about before, that I was supposed to put on Glory, but I saved it."

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez Hang at Phish Show, Meet Band

Talk about a strange collision of worlds. Teen phenom turned international pop starJustin Bieber, along with girlfriend Selena Gomez, hung out with jam band giants Phish at the group's Long Beach Arena show on Wednesday, Aug. 15.

First spotted near the soundboard and surrounded by a group of friends, Bieber was brought to the concert by his guitarist and musical director Dan Kanter, who happens to be a massive and very devoted Phish fan. Kanter had apparently been asking Bieber to check out the band's lyric-light brand of psychedelia and rockabilly for almost as long as the two had known each other. Finally, with the band playing a venue some 45 minutes south of Los Angeles, the stars aligned. (It also helped that Bieber was finally 18, notes an insider).

Bieber and crew stayed put all through the first set (Phish typically plays two, each of which is long enough to qualify as its own show) and were brought backstage to meet the band during the intermission.

Wearing a green tie-dye T-shirt and a Philadelphia Flyers cap, Bieber was first introduced to Phish bassist Mike Gordon, then guitarist, frontman and Kanter's personal idol Trey Anastasio. According to photographer Jeff Kravitz, they found common ground in talking music, of course, and also in singing the praises of Phish's revered lighting directorChris Kuroda, who will be designing Bieber's next tour. The couple also posed for pictures backstage with various members of the Phish extended family -- and their children, naturally (see photo above, taken by longtime Phish road manager Brad Sands).

For the second set, Bieber and Gomez really got into the (Weekapaug) groove, hurling glowsticks from a virtual arsenal they had stashed at the soundboard riser. Traditionally, a glowstick war breaks out at every Phish show. This one took place during the first two songs, "Rock & Roll" and "Ghost," according to witnesses who noted, "they were having a blast."

Indeed, Bieber and friends ended up staying three-quarters of the way through the second set, when they were expected to leave after intermission.

Al Roker Did You Just Call Out Matt Lauer??

Things just got awkward on live TV ... with Al Roker seemingly calling out Matt Lauer for railroading Ann Curry off of the "Today" show. Here's what happened -- Al, Matt and Savannah Guthrie were hanging with some Olympic rowers who were talking about some of their post-race traditions ... which includes flinging one of their teammates into the water. Matt joked... "The tradition here in NY is you throw her in the Hudson River." That's when Roker quickly chimed in ... "Which is different than OUR tradition ... which is you throw one of us under the bus, but that’s another story." Cue some awkward laughter from Matt and Savannah. As we previously reported, Ann believes Matt trashed her behind the scenes of the show ... and pressured NBC to fire her ass because he couldn't stand working with her. And, as we reported, part of Matt's deal in re-signing with Today was that Ann had to hit the road. Sources tell us Ann was cool with Al ... and respected him ... and after the comment he made on the show, it seems the feeling is mutual.

Björk Working on New Doc, Plus 2 Remixes

Björk teams up with David Attenborough for Documentary about Music & Nature + 2 Death Grip Remixes

The Icelandic songstress is teaming up with David Attenborough for "Attenborough and Bjork: The Nature of Music." The doc, which has just been picked up by Britain's Channel 4, will continue the themes explored in Bjork's latest album, Biophilia, and explore how music, nature and technology all intersect. The pair will travel the world in order to tell the story about the evolution of music, with Louise Hooper directing the project. Frankly, it sounds pretty damn interesting, and Bjork and Attenborough working together should yield some fascinating results. Attenborough, of course, is the man behind various nature documentaries including the acclaimed "Planet Earth," while the singer's obsession with the natural world has been a throughline for her work. No word yet on when their doc will air, but we're looking for to it.

As part of the ongoing Bjork remix series, the contribution from from California noise-rap outfit Death Grips has arrived. Sans vocalist Stefan Burnett, producers Zach Hill and Andy Morin take on "Sacrifice" and "Thunderbolt" off Bjork's album Biophilia, and the results are really good. If you dug the unique rhythms and sonic perspectives on The Money Store, you should head below. If you don't know Death Grips, The Money Store or Bjork then, still, go down and listen.

Christina Aguilera's heavily altered 'Voice' promo pic

Christina Aguilera is looking pretty good in the new advertisement for her NBC singing competition, "The Voice." Perhaps a little too good.

The photo is, to paraphrase many an Internet commenter, a bit too perfect (just check out this candid photo of Aguilera at a recent press event). Regarding the promo pic, a commenter over at writes, "Well duh of course she looks good. Photoshop fixes everything." Another posted: "Nice Spanx."

But it's not like Aguilera is the first celebrity to undergo a little digital alteration. Supermodels do it. Britney Spears did it, but then released both the pre- and post-airbrushed photos so folks could see the differences for themselves. Beyonce's skin tone underwent an odd transformation between two magazine covers.

And the airbrushing doesn't stop there. The cover of Adam Lambert's "For Your Entertainment" album is so clearly processed that it borders on the bizarre. In one case, an ad for Lancome featuring Julia Roberts was banned in the U.K. for too much photo manipulation.

The thing is, though, the subject of the photo is in trouble either way. Take, for example, the case of Sarah Palin. Palin's photo on the cover of Newsweek was not digitally altered, and people were rather shocked to see that she looked like a regular person with flaws and wrinkles.

Digital alteration isn't always about celebs. One unfortunate example came from Target Australia. The male model in the shot appears to have three hands. One of our personal favorites came from a wedding where the father of the groom wasn't able to make it on the big day. The bride inserted her father-in-law into the wedding photos, with no attempt to be subtle.

"Heavily Altered"....really? It looks fine. I doubt they had to do much retouching anyway since you can't improve on perfection.

Marvel's GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Plot Revealed?

Beyond the 2014 release date and the so-far confirmed interstellar superhero roster, very little is known regarding the “big space epic” expansion of Marvel's cinematic universe, titled Guardians of the Galaxy. And while a director hasn't even been announced yet, an alleged summary of the movie's plot has already surfaced via two industry sites, Production Weekly and It's On The Grid. Focusing on the main concept, main character and main conflict, the plausible logline indicates the much-anticipated film will be about:

“A U.S. pilot who ends up in space in the middle of a universal conflict and goes on the run with futuristic ex-cons who have something everyone wants.”

GOT: S3 Returning Cast Updates

Filming is in full swing now and news of returning cast members is trickling in. Actors we haven’t seen since the first season, but confirmed to be returning in season 3 include:

Josef Altin as Pyp. Pyp was left behind at Castle Black when the rangers traveled beyond the Wall in season 2.

Luke McEwan as Rast, the Night’s Watchman who antagonized Jon Snow and Samwell in the first season.

Ian McElhinney, as Ser Barristan Selmy, the dismissed Lord Commander of the Kingsguard.

A Brazilian interview with Lino Facioli, the child actor who plays Robin Arryn, led some to conclude he was definitely returning in season 3. However, the article is unclear. It mentions Robin appearing in season 3, but the statement appears to be based on the character being in A Storm of Swords. Given that the novel is being split into two seasons, it’s not certain whether we’ll see him in next year or in season 4. Kate Dickie, who plays Lady Lysa Arryn, has not been confirmed yet as being in season 3, and we’re unlikely to see Robin without his mother.

UPDATE: SweetSigma was kind enough to let us know Kate Dickie‘s agent has confirmed that the actress will be returning in September to film scenes as Lysa Arryn. If Dickie is in, then Facioli most likely is, after all! Very interesting info, considering many thought we would not see the Eyrie again until season 4.

Clive Mantle, who plays the Greatjon, has been confirmed as not returning to the show for the third season.

It is not yet known whether David Bradley will be returning as Lord Walder Frey, or if other first-season Night’s Watch characters such as Maester Aemon and Ser Alliser Thorne will be appearing.

Ours is the Fury: Altin mentioned on Twitter that he would start filming in September, but McEwan tweeted that he had already been filming, and so I believe Rast has been added to the Night’s Watch group led by Mormont, traveling beyond the Wall.

good stuff, now Mance Rayder and Ramsay Bolton please?

Revenge Recasts a Role.

When ABC's Revenge returns this fall for a second season of devilish fun, there will be yet another twist involving Emily's mysterious revenge master, Satoshi Takeda - he'll have a new face!

Due to the unavailability of the character's original portrayer, Hiroyuki Sanada, the part will now be played by Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa. According to producer Melissa Loy, Sanada's jam-packed film schedule (including a role in the Hugh Jackman-led movie Wolverine) necessitated the change. "Geographically, with our schedule being what it is, it was getting a little bit challenging," Loy explains. "We would have had to fly him in and out of Australia [where Wolverine was filming], but [still] wouldn't have had him on the days we necessarily needed him. We tried to figure out a bunch of different scenarios, but ultimately it was too difficult."

Tagawa, who has appeared on Heroes and Hawaii Five-0, will debut in the Sept. 30 season premiere and is "fantastic," says Loy, who adds that the 10-year age difference between Takeda #1 (age 51) and Takeda #2 (age 61) was of no concern. "We didn't want to try to trick our audience," she says. "We wanted to bring somebody in who brought something fresh, different and new to the character." Something the men have in common: both were born in Tokyo and boast an impressive list of Japanese film credits.

Loy says Takeda will stick around as long as "Emily has revenge-school stories." And there are many new tales to be told this season - particularly in flashbacks showing Takeda working with both Emily and another vengeance-seeking pupil named Aiden.

Just needed a reason to make a Revenge post!

The Rise of Hate-Watching: Which TV shows do you love to despise?

by Darren Franich

We are living in one of the great periods in TV history. The last decade saw the expansion of the cable universe and the popular rise of serialized shows, a pair of major evolutionary changes that pushed the boundaries of the medium. A show’s protagonist no longer had to be a good guy, or even particularly likable. Storylines could run for months, or years. The Internet provided the foundation for a hyper-attentive new strain of TV fandom. We began to talk about TV shows the way that people in the ’70s talked about movies, or the way that people in the ’20s talked about literature. Shows like Sopranos, Arrested Development, Mad Men, and The Wire had set a new benchmark. A host of new TV shows arrived, shows with sky-high ambition, shows that wanted to be great.

And then some of those shows turned out to be terrible.

This is the story that led, at least in part, to the rise of “Hate-Watching” — the practice of watching a TV show that you know is bad, for the specific purpose of enjoying that badness. “Hate-Watching” has achieved a certain prominence this year, with the debut of a pair of TV shows that positively radiated huge ambition. Smash was the big NBC debut of the midseason, with a pilot that promised “West Wing on Broadway” and a cast of big names. The show quickly descended into self-parody, then descended into self-parody-parody, then had a Bollywood number. (New Yorker critic Emily Nussbaum’s piece, “Hate-Watching Smash“ brought the hate-watching phenomenon into the open.) Smash was followed, this summer, by The Newsroom — a series with an impeccable pedigree, a great cast, a beloved TV auteur, and so so many themes! Newsroom belly-flopped, but watching it weekly and luxuriating in its particular badness has become a kind of Twitter parlour game (How many pratfalls? How many speeches? How silly can the female characters be?).

“Hate-Watching” is NOT the same as a guilty pleasure. You wouldn’t tune in every week to hate-watch a really “bad” reality show — that’s a guilty pleasure. Generally speaking, hate-watching requires a TV series with high ambitions and features a certain amount of aesthetic perfection — Smash and The Newsroom are both glossy productions with talented actors — yet fails consistently and badly enough to make it compelling. It helps if a show moves quickly: A typical episode of Glee mixes several dozen inane subplots with six or seven auto-tuned music sequences. Likewise, the sheer overabundance of Sorkinian dialogue gives Newsroom a guaranteed jolt. That said, the pace doesn’t need to be fast. The Killing was prime territory for hate-watchers precisely because its lugubrious pace felt built for MST3K-esque zingers.

I was a proud hate-watcher of The Newsroom until the fourth episode, when the combination of preachy dialogue, the recurrence of a Sasquatch subplot, and the extended Coldplay montage left me feeling that my time would be better spent by watching every new episode of Breaking Bad twice. But I’m interested to hear, readers: Are there any shows that you find yourself hate-watching? Perhaps a once-great TV series that has devolved into self-parody (Hello, Gossip Girl!) Or an aesthetically tasteful drama that can’t live up to its gorgeous set design? Or maybe you just loved to hate Girls? Tell tell!

Ke$ha's Letter to Lady Gaga Bashing Her for Wearing Fur is Fake!

It's "not legit," says Ke$ha's manager. So whoever made it should probably spend their time on more resourceful hobbies, IMHO

That letter you've been seeing on the Internet from Ke$ha to Lady Gaga reprimanding her for wearing fur is actually fake. Ke$ha's reps have confirmed to us that it's "not legit," despite how similar the letter looks to one Ke$ha wrote to McDonald's previously. It's probably just the work of a smart fan on the Internet. Or an ambitious intern at PETA.

But we don't blame you for thinking it was the real deal (we thought so, too!). Let's remember Ke$ha is from the Sarah McLaughlin school of animal lovers: she's gone on record blasting Canada's seal slaughter and the cruel method by which McDonald's slaughters their chicken. She received a 2012 peta2 Libby Award, which recognizes the most animal-friendly celebrities, and she was recently named the Humane Society's first-ever Global Ambassador for Animals. So it wouldn't be a surprise if the "Animal" singer took issue with Gaga's recent admission that she loves wearing fur and doesn't really care what anyone has to say about it.

The "letter" comes after Gaga, who previously denounced fur on "Ellen" in 2009 stating, "I hate fur, and I don't wear fur," has seemingly flip-flopped her stance on the issue. After PETA slammed the singer for wearing what appeared to be a pink mink fur coat earlier this week, Gaga quickly took to Twitter proclaiming, "For those press and such who are writing about whether or not my fur is actually real, please don't forget to credit the designer HERMES. Thank You! LOVE, gaga." Seems like she's made up her mind.

T Swift tops iTunes in 25 countries, on track for record digital sales

"Country-pop singer Taylor Swift has shot to the top of iTunes in 25 countries with her new single "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," and is poised for a record digital sales debut on next week's Billboard chart.

The song went to the top of iTunes in the United States just an hour after it was released on Monday, and has since reached No. 1 in Australia, Canada, Brazil, Finland and 20 other nations."

"Released on Monday night, the song is reportedly heading to first-week downloads in the 600,000 range, which would make the breakup anthem the fastest selling song ever by a female artist. (Lady Gaga currently holds that record with “Born This Way,” which was downloaded 448,000 times in its first frame.)

There’s one song Taylor probably will probably not outsell, though: “Right Round” by Flo Rida feat. Ke$ha, which sold 636,000 songs in a single week in 2009. Still, if she climbs past Justin Bieber’s “Boyfriend,” which moved 521,000 editions in its first week, she’ll have the second-best sales week in digital history. Not too shabby."

Lemony Snicket responds to Lauren Conrad's video.

In case you haven’t been following the literary police blotter today, here’s an update. Book-lovers around the web were shocked to see video footage of The Hills-star-turned-craft-maven Lauren Conrad brazenly dismembering a set of lovely hardcover volumes, using their spines in the unholy creation of something she gleefully called a “unique storage space” (storage for what, we shudder to think).

When book advocates rose up in protest of the gruesome atrocity, Conrad responded by removing the episode of her DIY crafting show from YouTube. But luckily the sleuths over at BuzzFeed (who originally broke the story), managed to preserve the image above.

You will notice that the book being savaged is from the Series of Unfortunate Events saga by Lemony Snicket. We reached out to the elusive author through his publicist, and he responded with the following comment:

It has always been my belief that people who spend too much time with my work end up as lost souls, drained of reason, who lead lives of raving emptiness and occasional lunatic violence. What a relief it is to see this documented.

Snicket may be relieved, but to our mind, this brutal event was unfortunate, indeed.

The Goddess Wanda Sykes To Host 2 Hour-Long Election Specials On LGBT Issues For Logo

Wanda Sykes will host 2 hour-long specials for the Logo network that will focus on "hot topics for the gay and lesbian voter and where the Presidential candidates stand on those issues," featuring a roundtable of panelists, promising to be fair and balanced, with all sides (well, probably just Republican and Democrat) represented in the conversations.

Expect the specials to tackle hot-button issues like gay marriage, healthcare and of course the economy.

"These specials will be thought provoking, exciting and the perfect forum to discuss important issues facing our community... Plus, it is Logo so maybe I’ll get to dress in drag,” Sykes said in a statement.

Deadline says that the first of the two specials will be taped in front of a live studio audience, and will air four days after the Democratic Convention, on September 10th at 10pm.

And the second will air on election-eve, November 5th.

To be titled NewNowNext Vote With Wanda Sykes, the specials will be executive produced by Mark Consuelos, Albert Bianchini, Liz Stanton, and Logo’s Brent Zacky and Christopher Willey.

Mariah Carey and No Doubt to kickoff the NFL season

Cee Lo Green, Mariah Carey, No Doubt contributing their voices to NFL

Football games this season are about to get some music star power.
It’ll all start at the first game of the NFL season, on Wednesday, Sept. 5, when Mariah Carey and No Doubt will perform a live pre-game show at Rockefeller Plaza. The hour-long show will air at 7:30 p.m. EST on NBC before the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys go head-to-head at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.
No Doubt will be following up on another engagement with the NFL — they performed at the Super Bowl halftime show in 2003.
Meanwhile, Cee Lo Green is taking over the intro to NFL Network’s Thursday Night Football. He’s recording a song called “I Love Football” to the tune of the Ramones’ “Blitzkrieg Bop.” The hip-hop singer is adding a crowd-sourcing element to the song: Fans are invited to submit videos of themselves singing along to the chorus of the new “Fanthem” as Green has dubbed it. Each week, the show will open with a 90-second video clip composed of these videos.

I'm sad the Olympics are over, but I'm sooooooo happy that the NFL will be back in 3 weeks!!

Joy Bryant Taking The Lead Opposite Michael Ealy In The Film Formerly Known As About Last Night

It looks like Joy Bryant is going to play the lead female role, based on the information I have.

First, the original film's synopsis:

Danny and Bernie are two single men living their lives on the wild side. But when Danny meets Debbie at a bar and the two start a relationship with a one night stand, Danny's life takes a different turn. How does this passionate night become a full affair and what effect will this relationship have on both people and their friendship with their best mates?

Edward Zwick directed the original that starred Rob Lowe and Demi Moore as the couple who meet (Danny and Debbie), and James Belushi played Danny's best friend, Bernie. Elizabeth Perkins played Joan, Debbie's best friend.

Hart has signed on to play the Belushi role; while Ealy will play the lead, originated by Rob Lowe.

Regina Hall will play the role originated on film by Elizabeth Perkins, the best friend, who has a love/hate relationship with Hart's character.

And finally Joy Bryant will play Demi Moore's role in the first film
. You'll recall we speculated that the role might go to another Think Like A Man cast member, since this was starting to feel like a TLAM reunion; but I also said that I wouldn't be surprised if the choice was an actress that no one expected. And I'd say that Joy Bryant's name probably wasn't the first (or second or third) name on most of your lists. Not that she isn't a welcomed choice...

You can catch Bryant on NBC's Parenthood, and next on the big screen in the action comedy Hit And Run (starring Bradley Cooper, Kristen Bell and others).

This remake of About Last Night has a new official title - Sexual Perversity in Chicago - the original title of the 1974 David Mamet play that the first film adaptation was based on. So maybe the story of thing upcoming all-black version will be closer to Mamet's original play, which I read was more caustic than the 1986 rom-com, full of profanity and jargon that reflects the working-class, presenting "intimate relationships [as] minefields of buried fears and misunderstandings."

A fall production start date is likely.

I've always liked her for some strange reason. She gets a lot of hate from bitter parenthood fans. funny, that she is starring in a film with kristen bell while playing Dax's wife on TV.

The Legend of Korra: The Movie?

Big news, Avatar fans! Thanks to Paramount Animation, we may soon be getting a Legend of Korra movie.

Paramount has remained pretty quiet since the studio's animation division was launched last summer, announcing little else than a sequel to The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie. However, now that DreamWorks is in talks to move to another studio, Paramount has recently ramped up its animation plans by hiring seven writers to tackle projects, some of which Mary Parent and J.J. Abrams will oversee. What's more, Paramount chief Brad Grey has been tasked with hitting up its sister division Nickelodeon for animated properties including The Legend of Korra, Dora the Explorer and Monkey Quest.

According to Variety, Paramount has stated that they want to keep budgets around $100 million or less, similar to features like Despicable Me and the latest installment of Ice Age.

Of course, the most exciting prospect here for many of us is a Korra movie, which would mark Nick's second attempt at bringing its Avatar franchise to the big screen. M. Night Shyamalan's live-action film The Last Airbender was widely disdained by critics and fans alike, so a shift towards animated features that continue the TV series makes sense.

But what say you? Do you think the Avatar series is up for another go in theaters? Let us hear your thoughts in the comments below!

Admittedly, my first thought was "STOP.", but...

National Treasure Hope Solo accuses DWTS partner of slapping her 'hard'

A rep for “Dancing with the Stars” professional dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy had no formal statement about U.S. soccer star Hope Solo’s allegations in her new memoir that the pro got physical with her, and once “slapped” her “hard” on the face during a Season 11 rehearsal, but the dancer may have just said his peace on Twitter.

“Always hated hypocrites and liars…but when someone is both AND an opportunist, I just feel bad for them. Can’t win at someone’s expense,” Maks Tweeted on Thursday afternoon, not mentioning Hope by name, but coincidentally posted the same day that the Olympian’s allegations, which are printed in “Solo: A Memoir of Hope,” were first reported.

Andrew Garfield hangs onto to some black foam boards as he leaves a craft store in Los Angeles on Monday afternoon (August 13).

The 28-year-old Amazing Spider-Man actor recently chatted with Total Film about his training for the film and if he could join Cirque du Soleil.

“No, I wish! I got pretty good at it, and I enjoyed it a lot. It was just like being in a playground really, it was just pure fun,” Andrew shared.

He added, “But the guys I was working with are experts and geniuses – technical geniuses and physical geniuses – and thank god for them! They allowed me to play with it and be in as much of it as I could manage, and as much as they wanted me to do, and we split the difference.”
