Meet Zooey Deschanel's New Man Jamie Linden!

New guy for New Girl! Over half a year since her split from husband Ben Gibbard, Zooey Deschanel is ready to get romantically adorkable again -- and she hit Sunday's after party for the Magic Mike premiere in Hollywood holding hands with a mystery guy. Who was he? It's screenwriter Jamie Linden, who's penned scripts for the films 10 Years, Dear John and We Are Marshall.

"Jamie's a really nice guy," a source tells Us Weekly, confirming his budding Linden's new relationship with Deschanel, 32. "He's funny, and a little geeky. . .he's into her!" Deschanel's rep had no comment.

At the Magic Mike bash, the new couple appeared inseparable -- holding hands and hooking their arms together -- as they chatted with pals, with Deschanel in an especially happy (and dance-y!) mood.

Earlier this year, Deschanel told Marie Claire she wasn't quite prepared to open her heart again. "Honestly, I'm just going through a divorce, so I don't really think [dating] is something I want to get into now. . . I don't have time to date. I literally don't have time."

She and Death Cab for Cutie frontman Gibbard, 35, wed in September 2009; the indie supercouple announced their separation last November, with the New Girl actress filing for divorce in late December, citing "irreconcilable differences."

When Us Weekly broke news of the couple's separation last year, a source explained to Us that the parting was "mutual and amicable. There was no third party involved."

Mariah Appeared In London, Rumored To Be In Talks For A Movie Role

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

After a long plane trip across the pond, many celebrities travelling from the States to the UK prefer to quickly dash into their hotel upon their arrival in order to spruce themselves up, and probably to have a good sleep as well.

Not Mariah Carey though; instead of shying away from fan/press attention when she arrived in the capital a short time ago Mazzah did plenty of showbiz style waves and poses to the crowd as she made her way into her hotel room. Let’s be honest, did we expect anything less of Mariah? No we didn’t. (lol)

Apparently the singer is meeting a film producer while in London but for ‘one day only’ (it’s all a bit cryptic really). We should imagine however that during her brief trip here she’ll be putting on plenty more showy displays such as this one. Victoria Beckham could probably learn a thing a two from this woman.

Adele was dumped by bisexual lover for her own gay friend

Biographer Marc Shapiro has penned the unofficial tome Adele: The Biography, which chronicles the singer-songwriter's childhood in North London as the daughter of a single mother, reported Daily Mail online.

The writer has paid particular attention to the ups and downs of her love life, and recounts the incident on her 18th birthday which went on to inspire her debut record.

"One thing we know is that it was a first love gone terribly bad. Adele had professed her love and he did the same, she had known he was bisexual but, in the rush of romance, felt they could make it work. Four hours after laying their emotional cards on the table, the boy ran off with one of Adele's gay friends!" Marc Shapiro wrote.Collapse )
Okay, so the dude definitely is a douche giblet for writing, what I am sure is, an unauthorized biography, but if Adele did, in fact, mention this on her official site, then I see no problem with him spilling this effectively stale tea.

Jay-Z's bodyguards 'in backstage ruckus at Radio 1's Hackney Weekend' after reveller allegedly targeted Beyonce in mosh pit

She looked like she was having the time of her life as she got fully involved in the crowds at Radio 1's Hackney Weekend to support her husband on Saturday night.
But it wasn't all fun and games for Beyonce as she danced the night away while Jay-Z was on stage.
The 99 Problems hitmaker's security guards allegedly became embroiled in a ruckus when one reveller verbally abused Beyonce as she let her hair down amongst the other crowdgoers.

Ausiello blind item: TV couple to marry in the fall

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I’m dishing out a blind item that I suspect many of you will find just as satisfying.

It concerns a primetime soap that, although popular, came thisclose to getting the axe at season’s end — and just when a pair of its well-liked lovebirds were heading for a reunion, too. Now I hear that, when the show returns this fall, it’ll pick up right where it left off and pleasantly surprise fans by immediately marrying off the star-crossed couple in question.

I can't think of anybody.

Kenny Chesney look-a-like kicked out of concert, refunded

Nashville- A Mid-State man will receive a refund after being escorted out of Saturday's Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw "Brothers of the Sun" concert for looking like none other than Kenny Chesney.

According to security at the LP Field concert, other fans thought they were seeing Chesney in the crowd and that created a disturbance.

Nathan Blankenship lives in Bellevue and works as a school teacher.  He told Nashville's News 2 he was looking forward to Saturday's show.

He said, "I decided I wanted to get on the floor and enjoy it so I dropped about $200 on a single ticket."

According to Blankenship, he has been several Chesney concerts, including two in Nashville in recent years, and is often told he looks like the country superstar.

Smash Season 2 Casting Exclusive: Competition for Tom and Julia?

It turns out that not all the young’uns on Smash have dreams to croon on stage in the spotlight. Some just want their names in the Playbill.

TVLine has learned exclusively that NBC’s musical drama has added theater vet Andy Mientus to its Season 2 ensemble, in the series regular role of Kyle, a poor kid from Brooklyn with dreams of writing for Broadway. Maybe he’s just the plucky guy Derek needs to deliver a quick turnaround on new pages when Tom and Julia are off yapping about adulterous lovers and religious beaus?

Kyle is also best friends with Jimmy, another Brooklynite/Season 2 arrival to be played by Newsies‘ Tony-nominated Jeremy Jordan.

A newcomer to TV, Mientus’ Smash-worthy credits include a stint as Hansche in the U.S. tour of Spring Awakening and a role in the recently closed Off-Broadway revival of the Stephen King-inspired musical Carrie.

Yes, this show needs more Broadway talent! Oh and I just want TPTB to have Tom sing more.

New Maroon 5 Video for One More Night

Maroon 5′s new album Overexposed hits streets today, and Adam Levine and co. have released a new video to celebrate. The clip is for the album’s lead-off track and second single “One More Night” and was helmed by Peter Berg, whose directing résumé includes Friday Night Lights (the movie and the show), Hancock, and Battleship.
You might expect an epic music video — the “Payphone” clip was a mini action film, after all — but the concept is on the subdued side. Levine plays a stressed-out boxer struggling to bring home the bacon to his wife, played by Minka Kelly, and their baby.
Things don’t end too well for our hero, whose wife ends up leaving him. But Levine’s still grateful Kelly showed up in the first place. As the giddy frontman said to MTV, ”Thank you, Minka Kelly, for doing our video!”

this song grew on me a lot. I still have mixed feelings on the new album, but at least it's better than the last album

Justin Bieber's Next Single: 'As Long As You Love Me'

Island Def Jam has confirmed to Billboard that "As Long as You Love Me" will be the second radio single from Justin Bieber's new album, "Believe." The set is due to soar onto the Billboard 200 this week. Check Billboard.com tomorrow morning (June 27) for complete details on the album's chart arrival.

The hypnotic, dubstep-infused "Love Me" -- which is not a cover of the Backstreet Boys' like-titled 1998 hit -- features rapper Big Sean. "We could be starving, we could be homeless, we could be broke. As long as you love me, I'll be your platinum, I'll be your silver, I'll be your gold," Bieber promises in the song.

First released as a retail preview track to "Believe," it debuted last week on the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 21 with download sales of 168,000, according to Nielsen SoundScan. "Love Me" will now receive its official radio push when the label begins promoting it to top 40 and rhythmic radio stations on July 9.

How to get under Aaron Sorkin’s skin (and also, how to high-five properly)

Aaron Sorkin knows the weight of last words, and his last words to me, as we walk-and-talk out of the HBO press room, are: “Write something nice.” He says this in the “Smile, honey” tone of much less successful jerks. It’s not advice the Oscar-winning, show-bossing Jonathan Franzen of screenwriting would take himself, thank what gods there be. In Sorkinville, these gods are men.

At the short end of a TV season dominated, if not by shows about girls and women, by talk about shows about girls and women, Sorkin’s new drama The Newsroom arrives with a “Hey, remember how great America was when it wasn’t just a man’s world, but a man's man’sworld?”

Colleton explained that the theme for the new episodes is "regret, responsibility, shame, betrayal, all of those things".

There is speculation that Nora has already passed away -- we're told that's not true ... but there is little hope she will recover from her current condition.

71-year-old Ephron was nominated for 3 Academy Awards in her illustrious Hollywood career ... and was widely considered one of the most powerful women in the entertainment industry.

Ephron was married to (and famously divorced) Watergate scandal reporter Carl Bernstein ... before entering her 3rd (and final) marriage to screenwriter Nicholas Pileggi.

NBC News To Pay Ann Curry $10 Million To Exit 'Today': Report

NBC News is allegedly planning to pay "Today" co-host Ann Curry $10 million to exit the morning show she's been on for fifteen years, the New York Post reported on Monday.

Citing entertainment gossip website TMZ, the Post reported that the network is nearing a settlement with Curry, who was one year into her reported three year contract with "Today." The network will reportedly name a replacement for Curry in the coming week.

The announcement would come just one week after the New York Times reported that the network was planning to replace Curry, after only one year as co-host.

Since Curry ascended to the top spot on the show, she has experienced a barrage of negative press, criticizing her chemistry with co-host Matt Lauer, her overall performance, and holding her responsible for the "Today" show's ratings troubles.

In an unfortunately timed interview with Ladies Home Journal, in which excerpts were released one day following the New York Times story, Curry spoke candidly about dealing with the negative press. She said she wonders, "Am I not good enough?" Curry also disclosed that she'd like to remain on the show for five, possibly ten more years.

Though the network has not yet announced a replacement, Curry's "Today" show colleague Savannah Guthrie is widely rumored to succeed her. Guthrie joined "Today" as the 9:00 a.m. hour co-host last June.

The Actor Who Plays Sherlock Holmes's Nemesis Dresses Up In Topman And Tells Us Why It's Sometimes Good To Be Bad

In the crazy world of celebs and showbiz, every so often along comes a sprinkling of actors whose dedication to honing their craft outweighes the obvious allure and trappings of fame. Andrew Scott is definitely one of those kind of actors, that's not to say that Scott has been waiting in the wings for his moment in the spotlight, actually far from it. His recent BAFTA win for his role as BBC's Sherlock Holmes baddie, Jim Moriarty is testament to that, plus his busy schedule (which has seen him work in film, television and where it all originally began, on the stage) is a clear indication that Scott has the kind of talent that keeps him in demand. Having cut his acting teeth in the theatre, ultimately winning a Laurence Olivier Award for his role in A Girl In A Car With A Man, Scott has gone onto work with an impressive roster of talented actors, screenwriters and directors including Mike Bartlett, Sam Mendes and Julianne Moore. Best Coast Performs Fleetwood Mac's 'Rhiannon'

Best Coast covers Fleetwood Mac's 1975 smash "Rhiannon" on a forthcoming tribute album — a task which clearly requires quite a bit of reverence, to the point where singer Bethany Cosentino even channels Stevie Nicks' warbling rasp. And, while the song's familiar guitar line is replaced with a dramatically simplified piano melody, the result captures the melancholic yearning of "Rhiannon" — its mystical side, its understanding of unattainable love — without losing the beach-bound giddiness of Best Coast's simple, shiny sound.

No. No. This cover does not do any of that. It turned the song into cheesy elementary bubblegum snot with no emotion or meaning, that's what it did. No.

Group of nobodies coming for Jessie J's wig, wig remains tightened

Was Jessie J's biggest stateside hit lifted from another source? The popular British singer is facing a copyright infringement suit over claims that significant portions of her recent hit "Domino" were taken directly from a male singer's work.

Filed by singer Will Loomis in Newport, California, the lawsuit names Jessie J (real name: Jessica Cornish), Universal Music Group, Lava Records, and Universal Republic Records as defendants in a case in which Loomis claims that large chunks of his 2008 song "Bright Red Chords" were taken for "Domino," which was released in August 2011.

"Mr. Loomis never consented to the use of his song," writes the singer's lawyer Chris Arledge in a statement, "and we look forward to obtaining an appropriate remedy from the court for this clear infringement."

Loomis uploaded a video to YouTube comparing the two tracks side-by-side in April, overlaying the vocals from his track with the backing track of "Domino" to show the similarities in vocal phrasing.

"Domino" spent 24 weeks on the Hot 100, peaking at No. 6. Jessie J's debut album, "Who You Are," peaked at No. 11 on the Billboard 200 upon its release last year.

Russell Crowe As Rupert Murdoch: Actor Reportedly To Play Scandalized Media Mogul In New Movie

Russell Crowe definitely won't be phoning this one in.

The 'Gladiator' star, 48, is in line to play media mogul Rupert Murdoch in a new film "Good Times, Bad Times" based on former London Times editor Harold Evan's memoirs of his relationship with him. "The Kings Speech" leading man Colin Firth is rumored to be up to play Evans.

According Variety, Evans resigned from the paper in 1983 over "unacceptable pressure" with Murdoch on how the Times should be run.

Leon Lecash, creative director of the company producing the film, said the movie will also discuss a meeting between Murdoch and Margaret Thatcher — who was Britain's PM at the time — where Murdoch agreed to buy the Times in exchange for political publicity for Thatcher's party.

"Harry [Evans] had suspicions that some intimate contacts were taking place between Murdoch and Thatcher, with late-night whisky drinking," said Lecash.

The film will not only be about Evan's experience at the Times but also touch on the ongoing News of the World hacking scandal.

We just caught up with Stevie Nicks, who told us that once again, Fleetwood Mac will be touring on the strength of it's back catalogue with rehearsals on the books for the beginning of 2013: "I'm taking the rest of this year for my In Your Dreams record that I love so much, and then 2013 is Fleetwood Mac, 'cause we're in rehearsal in January."

In Your Dreams -- which is Nicks' seventh and latest solo studio album -- was co-produced by the Eurythmics' Dave Stewart, who also co-wrote seven of the album's 13 songs. The album also includes the song, "Everybody Loves You" -- which was written about Lindsey Buckingham (as well as atleast 5 others also written about him...)

In Your Dreams entered the Billboard 200 chart at Number Six and sold 52,000 copies during its first week of release.

So basically, another greatest hits tour.... okay but PLEASE put out new music before (God forbid) you're unable to any more. Lindsey wants to work as Buckingham Nicks, do it before you guys get sick of each other again!

Criminal Minds Season 8: New character has history with Reid

According to TV Guide:

Her name is Alex Blake and she's a seasoned FBI linguistics expert, who has some history with Reid. "People like Reid learned from [her]," executive producer Erica Messer tells us. "She is also a professor at Georgetown and Reid has guest-lectured at her forensic linguistics class before." And before you even ask, don't look for her to be striking up any interoffice romances. "She is in a relationship," Messer teases. "When you get your heroes involved romantically, it just changes the show so much. I feel pretty strongly about that as a rule."

Lindsay Lohan causes scandal with new gun pics; Pictures removed from Terry's site

Just ten days after paramedics were called to Lindsay Lohan’s Ritz Carlton hotel room in Marina del Ray because she was in such a deep sleep that she couldn’t be roused, the troubled actress is up to her old attention-getting antics again.

This week, she pulled out a gun to pose for notorious fashion photographer Terry Richardson at the Chateau Marmont, her favorite hangout. Richardson, known for his sexually provocative photography, has shot campaigns for designers Marc Jacobs, Tom Ford and YSL, as well clothing lines Aldo, Diesel and Diane Von Furstenberg. He's also shot editorials for Rolling Stone, GQ, Vogue and Vanity Fair.

It's worth noting that Richardson's career has also been plagued by accusations of sexual abuse from young models who have posed for him.

This isn't Lohan's first time in the photographic firing line. She first posed with a handgun for another controversial L.A. photographer, Tyler Shields in 2010, making all kinds of lurid headlines for his photography book, The Dark Side of Glamour.

The photos of Lohan with the firearm have been removed from Richardsons Diary, but the ones that remain aren't exactly high school yearbook worthy. In most, she looks woozy, glamorously disheveled and half naked.

Maybe it’s not such a good idea to have Lindsay playing Elizabeth Taylor in the currently shooting film, Liz and Dick, so soon after she's put her ongoing legal problems behind her. The iconic actress had alcohol problems during her widely publicized boozy marrige to Richard Burton.

Tell us: What do you think about Lindsay Lohan's extracurricular activies?
