Lindsay Lohan has called a truce in her war with a former worker at the Betty Ford rehab clinic ... the woman who sued the actress, claiming Lindsay brutalized her after being ordered to take a breathalyzer test.
TMZ broke the story ... the worker -- Dawn Holland -- claimed she tried to administer the breathalyzer after Lindsay had returned to the rehab clinic one night in late 2010 and appeared intoxicated.
According to Holland, Lindsay recoiled in anger, grabbing Holland's right wrist ... "twisting and pulling it for 8-10 seconds."
Lindsay acknowledged there was a scuffle -- but insisted she was provoked by Holland ... and any injuries she may have caused were in self-defense.
The case settled for an undisclosed amount -- we're told Lindsay paid something to make it go away, although we don't know how much.
Death Grips have cancelled all scheduled shows, including stops in the U.S., Canada and Europe, the band announced on their Twitter and Facebook pages Friday.
"We are dropping out to complete our next album NO LOVE. See you when it's done. (There are no longer any scheduled shows)," the band wrote on both social networking platforms Friday, to an onslaught of comments and replies from upset fans.
Following the announcement, the band did not appear at a one-off show scheduled in their hometown, at the Sacramento Electronic Music Festival on Saturday. Their 30-plus-date summer tour was scheduled to begin May 18 in Dublin, Ireland, wrapping in L.A. on July 1.
Not even the venues where Death Grips were scheduled to play have information on the cancellations, as the Music Hall of Williamsburg tweeted Sunday, "We're still waiting on official word about possible Death Grips cancellation. If show is cancelled we'll issue refunds. Please stay tuned." Death Grips were set to perform there on June 13, following the June 12 kick-off of their North American leg.
A representative for the band has confirmed to Billboard.com that all upcoming tour dates are cancelled, although no further details have been released by the band or the label beyond the Facebook and Twitter posts. The noise-rap trio's sophomore album "No Love" is expected to drop this fall on Epic Records.

Seriously. This is the best show I have ever watched and is true "Stan" Up comedy.
Last month, we reported that Oscar-nominated actress Jessica Chastain was in negotiations to star in Marvel's Iron Man 3. Yesterday, she revealed on her Facebook page, that she will not be starring in the sequel, due to an overloaded schedule.
Our report from last month revealed the actress was in talks to play a, "sexy scientist," who is just as intelligent as Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark. Shane Black is directing from a screenplay he co-wrote with Drew Pearce. Production is scheduled to begin very soon in North Carolina, so we may be hearing about her replacement in the near future.
Iron Man 3 comes to theaters May 3rd, 2013 and stars Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Ben Kingsley, Jessica Chastain. The film is directed by Shane Black.
Maleficent is added a strong English line-up to its cast.
Veteran actresses Imelda Staunton and Miranda Richardson are joining Maleficent, Disney’s live-action re-telling of the Sleeping Beauty fairy tale that stars Angelina Jolie.

Kevin Feige Talks THOR 2, IRON MAN 3, CAPTAIN AMERICA 2, the AVENGERS Sequel, 2014/2015 Releases, and More!
by Steve 'Frosty' Weintraub
With Marvel and Disney’s The Avengers opening around the world in the coming weeks, last night was the world premiere in Hollywood and it was also the first time members of the press were shown the film. As you may have already read on my Twitter feed, I loved it and think Joss Whedon delivered a movie that both fans and casual moviegoers are going to love. Also, it’s really funny and it has the best action of any Marvel movie thus far.
Anyway, just an hour ago I got to sit down with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige. Since I already posted an in depth conversation with him when I visited the set of The Avengers last year, I decided to use my limited time to discuss Marvel’s future projects like Iron Man 3, Thor 2, Captain America 2, the Avengers sequel and whether Joss Whedon is signed to come back, what movies are coming in 2014 and 2015, Ant-Man, Dr. Strange, if Marvel is making an animated movie, another Hulk movie, and so much more. Hit the jump for more.
Since I know some of you like reading the highlights, here’s a few of the things I learned during the interview:
He’s seen an unfinished version of The Amazing Spider-Man and says it is excellent and should quiet concerns over the idea of rebooting the franchise.
They have an option for Whedon to direct The Avengers 2 when and if the time comes.
There are currently no plans to do a new Hulk movie with Mark Ruffalo.
Iron Man 3 starts filming in five weeks in North Carolina.
When approaching Iron Man 3, their gut instinct was to not make it be a pseudo-Avengers 2. It’s a full-on Tony Stark movie.
Iron Man 3 is inspired by the first half of Iron Man 1 in that they’re metaphorically putting Tony back in the cave. He’s stripped of everything, back against a wall, and has nothing but his intelligence to get him out.
Filming on Thor 2 begins in three months in London and it picks up where the first film left off in terms of Jane and Odin.
Thor 2 also addresses what’s been happening in the nine realms with the Asgardians unable to use the Bifrost.
Loki has a part in Thor 2, but there will be a different, big villain.
The crux of Thor 2 is continuing the dynamic between Thor and Jane, as well as the relationship between Thor and Odin.
Feige says there are no plans for Marvel and Pixar to team up on a feature.
Creative talks have been progressing for years between Marvel and Disney about possibly doing a Marvel property as an animated film.
Edgar Wright did not film something for Marvel recently, but Feige says to pay attention to Wright’s tweets in the coming months “and that might change.”
They’re still figuring out how much period flashbacks to include in Captain America 2.
The primary story of Captain America 2 will be Steve Rogers figuring out his place in the world. For the time-being, he’ll be staying with S.H.I.E.L.D.
They should announce by Comic-Con or before what’s coming out in May 2014.
Zak Penn did not write a Doctor Strange movie.
Feige says, “depending on what Edgar Wright films for us” circumstances could possibly force them to make three films in one year.

Madonna is facing legal action from an Australian artist who alleges the packaging for her debut perfume ripped off his trademarked logo.
The Holiday hitmaker launched Truth or Dare in New York last month, but RJ Williams is upset that the 'M' symbol on her scent bottle and cardboard sleeve resembles his own artwork.
Williams claims he trademarked the logo, which he is said to have used on clothing for eight years, in 2011 and he is taking legal action over what he alleges is a breach of copyright.
He tells Australia's The Sunday Telegraph, "Friends from all over the world have been calling me upon seeing the Truth or Dare by Madonna campaign to express their disgust and support.
"It's about my integrity as an artist. I do not think it should be able to be used by a giant cosmetics company."
Williams claims he has sent a legal letter to Madonna's agent, Guy Oseary, requesting the star immediately stop infringing his copyright. He has also asked to be provided with all profits made so far and enter into a licence with him for future use of the symbol.

The two singers were in the '90s boy band alongside Joey Fatone, Lance Bass and Chris Kirkpatrick. They were known as much for their wild moves on stage as they were for their funky beats, but J.C. insists he and Justin were the ones who really excelled when it came to the routines.
"I think Justin [Timberlake] and I were probably the best two dancers," he said.
"The fun part about me was I was also acrobatic, so I could do backflips across the stage and things like that - that was one of kind of my things that I brought to the table."
Justin and J.C. were both Mouseketeers on Disney's The Mickey Mouse Club when they were younger, along with other famous faces such as Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera.
Christina is now a mentor on US singing contest The Voice, where a fellow former Mousketeer called Tony Lucca is a contestant. She criticised his performance last week, but J.C. thinks she was just trying to help him.
"I love her. She's absolutely supposed to do her job and express her opinion, and that is definitely her opinion," he told Access Hollywood.
"I think Tony has represented himself magnificently on the show because I don't really just look at Tony as a singer, and [Christina] is thinking in terms of maybe singing, how he sang the song. I'm looking at him as a performer."
The man who is accusing John Travolta of assault and sexual battery is firing back at the statements made by the A-list actor’s lawyer.
Marty Singer, the pit bull legal ace who is repping Travolta, told RadarOnline.com that the lawsuit that the male masseur “John Doe” filed against his client is totally unfounded.
Despite Singer’s statement that Travolta was not in Los Angeles on January 16, 2012, and that the accusations are “complete fiction and fabrication,” John Doe tells a different story.
“I have proof to support the truth that I’m telling,” he said, but would not reveal the specific details about his proof.
According to the lawsuit documents, the massage began in a bungalow at The Beverly Hilton Hotel and "Travolta appeared to be semi-erect."
The lawsuit goes on to claim that a chef brought in hamburgers during the massage and Travolta "touched Plaintiff's scrotum, and this time the Plaintiff told Travolta to please not touch him again."
The lawsuit states that the actor promised not to, but "Travolta quickly tried to rub the head of Plaintiff's penis as he tried to pull away."
Singer told RadarOnline.com that John Doe would “regret” filing the lawsuit, which incensed him.
“I represent the 99 per cent of the population, the working class, and I was put in an inappropriate situation that I didn’t put myself in. It is not for Mr. Singer to deny me my right!”
John Doe said he has no intention of backing down and isn’t afraid of going forward with his lawsuit.
He said he thinks his case is strong against the Pulp Fiction star. “I passed a lie detector test for the National Enquirer, and I’m telling the truth about what happened.”
John Doe said that his experience with Travolta “started out polite and charming, but then when things didn’t go his way things digressed.”
Now that he’s filed the lawsuit, John Doe told RadarOnline.com he’s not backing down.
“I’m ready for my day in court.”
LOS ANGELES (AP) – Lindsay Lohan won't face prosecution over a nightclub manager's claims that the actress struck him with her sports car due to lack of evidence and doubts about his credibility, prosecutors decided Friday.
Police had asked the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office to review whether Lohan should be charged with leaving the scene of an accident, but the office determined there was insufficient evidence to pursue a case. Police interviewed the manager, reviewed surveillance footage and looked at Lohan's Porsche and found no evidence that an accident had occurred.

Olly Murs has teamed up with Chiddy Bang for his debut US single, giving pals Rizzle Kicks the boot!
The singer and rapper will collaborate on a reworked version of 'Heart Skips A Beat', which is scheduled to be released in North America this summer.
The track, which originally featured Rizzle Kicks when it was released as a single in the UK last year, will be released in America on May 22.
"'Heart Skips A Beat' is a favourite of mine and my fans, and I hope you guys will love it too," Olly said in a statement.
Murs is currently working on his third studio album, which is expected to be released in late 2012.

Singer-songwriter Alanis Morissette is coming back with her first album in four years.
MTV reports the new record will be titled Havoc and Bright Lights and released in August. And though the first single, "Gaurdian," won't be hitting iTunes until May 15, Morissette fans can listen to "Magical Child," a song the singer released last week as part of Starbucks' Mother's Day compilation, Every Mother Counts.
In a statement, Morissette said "Havoc and Bright Lights" "is a snapshot of what I currently obsess about, care about, and what strikes me at 4 in the morning in my most introspective moments." MTV notes that her last album peaked at No. 8 on the Billboard charts. Jagged Little Pill, the 1995 album that made "it's like raaaaaaaain, on your wedding day" part of the American vernacular, sold 14.7 million copies in the United States.
Morissette has stepped back into the public eye this year with a role on "Up All Night" and an appearance on "The Mortified Sessions." The singer played a hip hop artist caught in a dispute over writing credits on "Up All Night" and read her childhood poetry on the latter show.
She also made appearances on "Idol" and "X-Factor" and signed on as a mentor for contestants on "The Voice," whetting the public's appetite for more Alanis.

Casting for Disney’s Maleficent is nearing its completion, with a few weeks still left before production is slated to begin. The Sleeping Beauty re-imagining (told from the eponymous villain’s perspective) finally crawled out of development limbo earlier this year, beginning with Oscar-winning production designer/effects supervisor Robert Stromberg being hired on as director – followed by an official commitment from Angelina Jolie to make the long-gestating project her next starring effort.
Both acclaimed character actor Sharlto Copley and teenage starlet Elle Fanning (Super 8) were previously reported as being in talks to play pivotal roles in Maleficent. A new report from Heat Vision not only confirms their involvement, but also reveals that Oscar-nominated English actresses Miranda Richardson (Sleepy Hollow) and Imelda Staunton (Vera Drake) - both of whom are also well-known for their colorful turns in the fourth, fifth and seventh Harry Potter movies, respectively – are now cast members.
Richardson will play Maleficent’s disapproving aunt, Queen Ulla, while Staunton will play Knotgrass, one of the pixies (fairies, in traditional Sleeping Beauty retellings) who cares for Princess Aurora (Fanning) after she is cursed to an eternal slumber on her 16th birthday by the film’s magical namesake (Jolie). One of the other pixies, Flittle, will be portrayed by BAFTA nominee Lesley Manville – who, like Staunton, is a frequent collaborator with director Mike Leigh (Secrets & Lies, Vera Drake, Another Year).

As we previously reported, Travolta is being sued by an unidentified male masseur for assault, sexual battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress. According to the lawsuit, the masseur tried to carry out a deep tissue massage, but "Travolta, had removed his draping and was masturbating. Travolta's penis was fully erect, and was roughly 8 inches in length, and his pubic hair was wirey and unkempt. Sweat was pouring down Travolta's neck, and he asked Plaintiff again to say something nice to him."

Queen Latifah is set to headline this year's Long Beach Lesbian & Gay Pride Festival. It will be her first engagement at a Pride celebration, Global Grind reports.
Long Beach Pride Co-President Pat Crosby released this statement in anticipation of her appearance: "From hip-hop to R&B, pop to standards, Queen Latifah is the voice of our generation, and her concert here will be phenomenal. For her to make her worldwide Pride debut here in Long Beach is a tremendous testament to the popularity of our celebration and to the strength of our community."
People have been wondering out loud for years about whether the 42-year-old could be gay, but she's never spoken publicly about her sexual orientation, as far as we know. Some are speculating that the festival might be the perfect time for her to come out of the closet. Perhaps. But it's just as likely that the singer-actress will view it as the perfect time to do whatever she wants, decline to make a big announcement and encourage the rest of us to continue to mind our own business.

"I've never really done any interviews as myself," says Cohen in a video snippet for those without SiriusXM. "This is like the third time in my life I’ve done an interview out of character."
Cohen's appearance in the video clip is startling for its normalcy. The comedian wears a brown T-shirt and a black leather jacket, along with a baseball cap. In contrast to his outrageous characters Ali G, Borat, Bruno and General Aladeen, Cohen is clean-cut and speaks in his native British accent. He sits back in his chair, holding a cup of coffee.
"I'm a huge fan and I've been following your career for 20 years," said Cohen, explaining why he chose Stern's show for the rare interview. "What you were doing inspired me very early on because I thought, 'Alright, this is a guy who's got balls.' The fact that you didn't mind breaking the law or upsetting people -- I followed that role."
Stern pressed the actor on why he is so hesitant to appear in public as himself.
"To me, you're such a more fascinating guy," said Stern. "To interview a character ... I mean, what am I going to ask 'The Dictator?' He's not a real guy. Now that you're accomplished, people do want to speak to the real you. Though I would prefer that you only speak to me as you."
Cohen admitted that it was fun to speak in his own voice.
"I enjoyed it. I never do it," Cohen said, wrapping up the interview. "Maybe that'll be it. It will be an exclusive with 'The Howard Stern Show.'"

Gay marriage is in the news again this week for a few reasons. Foremost among them is the Obama Administration’s efforts to balance their actual feelings about gay marriage with what is most politically expedient. Vice President Joe Biden and Education Secretary Arne Duncan both came out with clear support of gay marriage, although the Obama Administration is trying to have their cake and eat it, too, by making it apparent that individuals in the administration support gay marriage but the administration itself does not. It’s a tough line to straddle in a country where 47 percent of its citizens now support gay marriage against 43 percent who do not. However, if it were as clear cut as that, maybe Obama would come out in full support. Unfortunately, we work on the Electoral College system, and 29 states have statewide bans on gay marriage. Today, North Carolina is voting to become the 30th. Chances are, it will pass.
In Biden’s remarks in support of gay marriage earlier this week, he also attributed some of the mainstreaming success of it to “Will & Grace,” a show that helped to personalize gay relationships. In 2005, Brokeback Mountain helped people to understand that gay relationships are just as loving and often devastating as straight ones. “Modern Family” gave us a loving, gay couple with a child as a cultural reflection of gay parents.
But here’s the thing: If gays want marriage, they should not only receive all the benefits of it, they should suffer the consequences. To wit: They should also be forced to suffer through rom-com dreck devoted to their relationships. There have been a lot of gay characters in movies and television, but there’s never been a big, Hollywood mainstream, insipid, Kate Hudson-style romantic comedy with leading gay characters. That’s exactly what we need to further mainstream gay marriage: Shitty broad comedies with lame romantic gestures. When the rest of America sees Hugh Jackman run through an airport to stop Daniel Craig from getting on a plane, then I think ALL of America will finally accept same-sex marriage.
When Hollywood finally decides to make a lightweight romantic comedy devoted to gay characters, I’ve helpfully provided the pairings and titles to 15 Romantic Comedies with which they can start.

Speaking to Us Weekly backstage after Monday's show, Lucca couldn't believe Aguilera's behavior -- and was miffed that he dragged his wife and daughter into her critique. "How convenient that she waits the whole season to talk about all things classy," Lucca sniped of Aguilera. "It's just so transparent at this point and pathetic."

“Who is the next Leonardo DiCaprio?” That question has plagued Hollywood directors and casting agents for years now, though sometimes Leo’s name gets replaced by Jake Gyllenhaal or the late Heath Ledger’s, and on the gender flip-side, women like Anne Hathaway or Michelle Williams. The answer doesn’t seem to reside in Zac Efron or any of his peers, unfortunately, since no one from his teenybopper sect has been able to consistently open new movies to whopping box office profits.
And, truth be told, not many of the industry’s statesmen are instantly lighting up ticket booths at theaters, either. Just because George Clooney’s or Brad Pitt’s name is on a marquee, that doesn’t mean the actor’s respective movie is going to break any cash registers. So, as a result, the concern seems to be more about performances, and that’s something young Hollywood is definitely capable of handling.
This weekend, in fact, one of the game’s most promising youngsters, Chloë Moretz (Let Me In, Hugo) is set to hold her own next to a typically nutty Johnny Depp in Tim Burton’s Gothic horror-comedy Dark Shadows. It’s Depp’s show, no doubt, but the 15-year-old Moretz makes the most of her limited screen time, giving us even more hope that she’s on the verge of an award-caliber future—she surely has the necessary potential, like all the up-and-coming thespians included on our list of The 25 Best Hollywood Actors Under 25.

The Pentagon decided to stop cooperating with "Marvel's The Avengers" because the film seemed too unrealistic, Wired reports.
It's surprising that the government did not participate in the film, as the military has a long history of working with studios on action movies. In fact, the Pentagonloaned some F-22s to Marvel for Robert Downey Jr. to go toe-to-toe with in "Iron Man." It also gave a whole host of military vehicles (including ships and helicopters) to Paramount for "Transformers."
Why so little love for the film that would go on to have the best-stelling opening weekend of all time, then? The Defense Department's Hollywood liaison (that's a real position) said the government was concerned about the vague authority of S.H.I.E.L.D., the Samuel L. Jackson-led international peacekeeping / spy-ish organization (please don't write us letters!) that brings together the Avengers to do Avenger-y things.

Illumination Entertainment, the company behind the recent family hit Dr. Suess’ The Lorax, and Universal are teaming up to bring Clifford the Big Red Dog to the big screen.
Matt Lopez has been set to write the script for the project, which will be a live-action/animated hybrid. Chris Meledandri will produce for Illumination Entertainment with Deborah Forte producing for Scholastic Media.
Clifford follows the adventures of a 25-foot-tall red dog and his owner, a child named Emily Elizabeth. The girl picked up the dog when he was a puppy and the runt of the litter, but her love for him made him grow super huge, so much so that the family had to move out of the big city to a New England-esque island.

In an interview at Prestige Hong Kong, Chris Evans, he of Fantastic Four and Captain America and the upcoming Avengers fame, admits that some -- okay, a lot -- of his films haven't been very good. In fact, he'll even give you a number: "I’ve made about 20 movies and I’m probably proud of three," he said, admitting that press tours do a number on his nerves because he's forced to put on a brave face to promote "piece[s] of shit."
You've got to give Evans points for candor; even while he was promoting Captain America he acknowledged that it took a lot of convincing for him to take on the responsibility of a ginormous superhero franchise that could make or break his career. According to his Prestige chat, he sought help from a therapist to deal with the pressures of the gig even before filming, which might be when this revelation hit:
"I started to realise, I think the main reason I struggle so much in press, is because I’m usually promoting a piece of shit. It’s really difficult to find a flowery way to tell people to go see this movie, that your face is all over, that your name is all over, that you’re endorsing. And then you begin to feel like a liar, like you’re transparent. You feel undeserving and it makes the interview extremely uncomfortable, for me at least.
But you know what? Sunshine, which he's said is a favorite of his, was great (well, until the end). Captain America earned far more critical acclaim than his previous superhero stint in the Fantastic Four films. And Evans lent a fantastic injection of mocking Hollywood swagger to his Lucas Lee in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. Hell, even Not Another Teen Movie was pretty funny, and launched Evans' career, and despite its mixed reviews, the indie drama Puncture, in which he played a drug-addicted lawyer, was a bold move. Granted, there have been many misfires -- 16 out of 19 of his films are "rotten" on Rotten Tomatoes -- but they're not all complete stinkers, are they?

Despite their clash in that infamous, fateful meeting four years ago contributing more than any other factor to the demise of Danity Kane, both Dawn Richard and Aubrey O'Day have recently spoken about their reconciliation and their openness to the possibility of a reunion in the near future.
Speaking to Bossip.com last month, Richards was enthusiastic at the prospect of a Danity Kane Reunion:
"I'm down for whatever," she explained. "I'm down for great music. I talked to Aubrey not to long ago and I told her "I'm always down." I love her and I love them, I just always like things to be right so that people love it and it's exactly what people want. We did such great numbers and such great things with that - I want to make sure that we don't kill it and only make it better, but I'm down for anything."
And in an interview with Clevver TV yesterday, O'Day took it one step further.
"I would do it in a second," she said. "I would do it tomorrow, I would do it five days ago. I think that none of us will be as amazing as were in that group [...] If my voice is ever "the word", I will have us back together."
Should they all choose to fully reconcile, the only issue would be the iron-clad contracts that they signed with Diddy; despite the fact that they are all no longer affiliated with him, he still owns the rights to their name and previous music.
Would you be here for a DK reunion, ONTD? And what are your favourite DK songs?
The scene is that of a David Hockney acrylic painting, all that is missing are the automatic sprinklers watering the garden. At the top of a green hill in Hollywood, the downtown white-grey skyscrapers on one side, the blue ocean on the other, the poolis azure and has gentle and sinuous contours. She, Emily Blunt, in a cigarette skirt, fire red lips and nails, soft wavy hair, is posing for the photographer.
It is the image of an intense, strong and timeless femininity. It makes you think ofthe stars from the Thirties and Forties; also certain haute couture images from the Seventies that have marked an epoch. Emily Blunt is happy. Satisfied. And precisely she, who has made herself known more for her talent as an actress than for covers of magazines, has been chosen to represent Opium, the most legendary, sensual and Byzantine perfume by Yves Saint Laurent.
English, 28 years old, she lives between Los Angeles and London.
And now it is her moment: she is happily married to John Krasinski, the American actor fromThe Office and over the next few months we will see her as the female protagonist of Salmon Fishing in the Yemen, with Ewan McGregor; The Five-Year Engagement, with Jason Segel;Arthur Newman, Golf Pro, with Colin Firth; Looper, a science-fiction story with Bruce Willis: all projects which in Hollywood are spoken about with pride and enthusiasm.

The hard-line Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) says it will send six members to shoo away fans flocking Lady Gaga’s concert if the US singer-songwriter goes ahead with plans for the concert.
“Muslims are ready to close down [the concert]. She has 60,000 people in the audience, while six will be enough for the FPI. They will disperse,” FPI Jakarta branch chief Salim Assegaf said Monday as quoted by kompas.com.
The FPI has taken a stand against what it defines as “skin-revealing” artists coming into the country, including Lady Gaga.
Salim advised his members not to come to the concert because doing so would be counterproductive.
"She's bringing the faith of Satan to our country, as opposed to progress. She will destroy the nation’s morals," he said.
He said he would also deploy FPI members to intercept the singer upon her arrival at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in the suburb of Cengkareng, west of Jakarta.
"You can be sure about that. We will be dispatching local FPI members especially from nearby units, such as the FPI Tangerang and the FPI Banten," Salim said.
The singer is scheduled to perform in Jakarta as part of her “Born This Way World Tour” on June 3 at Gelora Bung Karno’s main stadium in Senayan, Central Jakarta. (png/mtq)

With cameras rolling this spring on "Passion," Brian De Palma's first feature film in six years, there's no doubt it will be a hot item when it's repped at the Cannes marketplace, and certainly this first official image from the film will get people talking.
Stars Rachel McAdams and Noomi Rapace go in for an (uneasy, it seems) kiss in the thriller that promises to have a sexual charge. A loose remake of Alain Corneau's 2010 French film “Love Crime,” which starred Ludivine Sagnier and Kristin Scott-Thomas, that movie told the story of two women involved in a sexy and dangerous power struggle while working at a multinational conglomerate. And while it's still unclear just what changes to the story have been made in de Palma's do-over, the official plot synopsis sheds a bit more light on what we can expect:
An erotic thriller in the tradition of "Dressed To Kill" and "Basic Instinct", Brian de Palma's PASSION tells the story of a deadly power struggle between two women in the dog-eat-dog world of international business. Christine possesses the natural elegance and casual ease associated with one who has a healthy relationship with money and power. Innocent, lovely and easily exploited, her admiring protégé Isabelle is full of cutting-edge ideas that Christine has no qualms about stealing. They're on the same team, after all... Christine takes pleasure in exercising control over the younger woman, leading her one step at a time ever deeper into a game of seduction and manipulation, dominance and humiliation. But when Isabelle falls into bed with one of Christine's lovers, war breaks out. On the night of the murder, Isabelle is at the ballet, while Christine receives an invitation to seduction. From whom? Christine loves surprises. Naked she goes to meet the mystery lover waiting in her bedroom...
Needless to say, this first look is a helluva tease, and that description seems to fit squarely in the wheelhouse where De Palma does his best work, so we're pretty excited for this one. No release date yet, but this looks like a nice gear change for McAdams and another fascinating choice from Rapace, and we can't wait to see what they cook up together.

Lewis, an Academy Award nominee for her turn in "Natural Born Killers," will star in "The Days of Mary," a remake of Fellini's "Nights of Cabiria," which won the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film in 1957.
Meg McGarry and Brad Michael Gilbert will adapt Fellini's original screenplay, which he wrote with Ennio Flaino and Tullio Pinelli. Bob Fosse attempted this before, staging a 1966 Broadway musical and then adapting it into a 1969 film that earned three Oscar nominations but was a box office flop.
This re-imagining will chronicle the romantic adventure of a buoyant working girl hoping love will rescue her from her home of Reno, Nevada.
"The story is more relevant than ever - the triumph of a hopeful spirit in the face of a broken world," Gilbert said in a statement. "Juliette was born to play this role. She'll deliver the most vulnerable, humorous and heartbreaking performance."
Constellation Entertainment bought the rights to the script from the Fellini estate and Gilbert will direct. Gilbert, Mike S. Ryan and Brandy Lewis will produce.
I'm devastated. I love Juliette Lewis, but I know they are going to positively desecrate my favourite movie. I was hoping this film would just be one of those permanently shelved projects. Well anyways, Juliette is going to have to act her ass off because to me she is the opposite of innocent.
Fast Girls tells the story of a British female 4 x 100 metres relay team training for the race of their lives. It’s as feel-good as they come. It’s not so hard to guess what will happen between estate kid Shania (Lenora Crichlow) and her rival, prissy teammate Lisa (Lily James) — and whether they will race together for Team GB — but it still gets you when the ending is revealed.
With its asphalt-pounding grit and a urban soundtrack, Fast Girl looks set to follow the success of London-made films such as Street Dance 3D and Kidulthood and capitalise on Olympic fever. That's partly due to a writing team including playwright Roy Williams, Jay Basu and actor Noel Clarke - who also plays a world-weary athletics coach. Mostly, however, it's down to Crichlow.

I'm shocked by that first tidbit of info. If it's true that she's the first...wow.
Also, so glad Lenora's getting her due. She was severely underrated on Being Human.
This show is a mess, but I can't help but think that Annalynne rolls with what the writers give her and is genuinely good. Most of the time, she carries the show by herself. Am I delusional?
Check out the trailer for Ben Affleck's new film Argo!
Here’s the official synopsis: Based on true events, Argo chronicles the life-or-death covert operation to rescue six Americans, which unfolded behind the scenes of the Iran hostage crisis—the truth of which was unknown by the public for decades. On November 4, 1979, as the Iranian revolution reaches its boiling point, militants storm the U.S. embassy in Tehran, taking 52 Americans hostage.
But, in the midst of the chaos, six Americans manage to slip away and find refuge in the home of the Canadian ambassador. Knowing it is only a matter of time before the six are found out and likely killed, a CIA “exfiltration” specialist named Tony Mendez (Affleck) comes up with a risky plan to get them safely out of the country. A plan so incredible, it could only happen in the movies.
Argo, which Ben directed, hits theaters October 12.
really excited for this, tbqh. looks great, and I love Ben as a director

Do people tell you that you look like anyone famous, ONTD?
The cast is made up of French actors Héloise Godet, Zoe Bruneau, Kamel Abdelli, Richard Chevalier and Jessica Erickson. While there is no official synopsis, Godard previously expressed interest in 3D back in 2010, saying he likes “when new techniques are introduced. Because it doesn’t have any rules yet.” He went on to say this film will be about ”a man and his wife who no longer speak the same language. The dog they take on walks then intervenes and speaks. How I’ll do it, I don’t yet know. The rest is simple.”
It sounds like he’s figured it out, as Godard is in production already. The director will be joining other legendary filmmakers experimenting with the new technology, such as Wim Wenders, Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg, Ridley Scott and more, but it’s no question that I’m most interested in seeing what attracts Godard to this new format.

Rebecca Hall ("The Town") is in talks to join Marvel Studios and Disney's "Iron Man 3," that starts production this month.
Thesp would play a scientist who plays a pivotal role in the creation of a nanotechnology, known as Extremis, that winds up being sold to terrorists.
Jessica Chastain announced on her Facebook page, on Monday, she would not be playing the part, due to conflicting projects, after press reports prematurely attached her to the pic.
Shane Black is helming and co-writing "Iron Man 3," with Drew Pearce, that brings back Robert Downey Jr. as billionaire Tony Stark and his superhero alter ego Iron Man, along with Gwyneth Paltrow and Don Cheadle. Guy Pearce also is on board, while Ben Kingsley is set to play the villain.
Plot will borrow elements from Warren Ellis' six-issue "Iron Man: Extremis," that also heavily influenced the first "Iron Man" pic, and focuses on the spread of a virus through nanotechnology.
Production on the film starts this month in North Carolina before moving to China. Disney already has skedded to release "Iron Man 3" on May 3, 2013.
